Bayley will remain the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion as she retained the title in her latest title defense.
As seen at Sunday’s (January 26, 2020) WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event from the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas on the WWE Network, Bayley beat Lacey Evans.
Bayley Retains SmackDown Women’s Title
It turns out that this contest was originally slated to take place at the WWE TLC pay-per-view event in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Target Center but the match was nixed.
This match, which was never announced, had been reportedly on the card as of December 9th.
Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event on March 8, 2020 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Bayley’s reign as champion, which marked her second time at being the top star in SmackDown women’s division, started on October 11th.
This is where she beat Charlotte Flair to win the title in the main event on the episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Las Vegas, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena on FOX.
What are your thoughts on Bayley retaining the SmackDown Women’s Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.
Lacey Evans was only brought in to the main roster during Royal Rumble earlier this year and she has spent less than a year there, but the former NXT star has managed to make a name for herself in this short amount of time.
The Sassy Southern Belle recently had an interview with CBS
sports where she talked about things like her face turn, how she would describe
her character and more.
When asked what are her goals for the upcoming year, Evans
who is currently involved in a rivalry with the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley
said that it’s probably to become the champion in the new year:
“Probably to become champ and get more opportunities to
use my platform to show people what you’re capable of, no matter how hard your
life is.
I know sometimes things hurt really bad and I know there are
a lot of bad things that are happening, and you feel so down and out on
yourself. But trust me when I tell you, coming from where I come from and what
I’ve been through, you are capable of anything.”
Lacey Evans continued by saying that if she has to become a champion to tell the world that they are capable of anything as long as they continue to fight and have a plan, then that’s what she wants to do.
Apart from this, the SmackDown star discussed her early life, not knowing what she wanted to do when she was young and more. You can check out her full interview at this link.
WWE SmackDown Superstar Lacey Evans has responded to the idea that she was called up too early from NXT to WWE’s main roster. Speaking on 101WKQX in Chicago, Evans disputed the claim, stating that “people get what they deserve.”
“Too early? Sweetheart, no such thing. People get what they deserve. I’m a hard worker and they saw that I could bring many things, including class, to the main roster,” Evans explained. “To RAW, to SmackDown, any brand that I’m put in, and that’s exactly what I did. A lot of people may be mad because they’re not in my position, making the money that I’m making, but that has nothing to do with me.”
WrestleMania Ready
Evans received a championship opportunity against current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch earlier this year. Although unsuccessful at the time, Evans believes she’s ready to establish herself in the championship scene at WrestleMania, not caring whether it’s for the RAW or SmackDown Women’s Championship.
“Give me one of the champions. I don’t care which one. I’m on SmackDown now, so whoever that may be at the time, whether it’s Bayley, Sasha Banks, it doesn’t matter,” she said. “Let me get my hands on her and let there be no rules. A lot of women and a lot of people are used to referees rules to stop them from inflicting as much pain as possible, and it’s one of the things that I love to do. I am sick and tired of getting pulled off of these nasty things. So, if I could choose anything that I wanted, it would be a champion. Give me either one of them, I don’t care which and don’t pull me off of them when I get on.”
Evans recently made history alongside Natalya. The two performed in the first-ever women’s wrestling match in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during WWE’s last visit there for their pay-per-view, Crown Jewel.
WWE Superstar Lacey Evans made history by participating in the first-ever women’s wrestling match in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She faced off against Natalya in a losing effort for WWE’s Crown Jewel event. Speaking with Wrestlezone, Evans reflected on her historic experience.
“It was amazing to be able to represent this company which I love, to show the entire world what women are capable of, to help make change, especially as a mother with my daughter watching this take place, is motivating,” she said.
“I’ve done a lot of things in my life that women statistically couldn’t do or shouldn’t do, or has been frowned upon too, and this was another one in the books for me to go out there and work my ass off like I do in everything in my life and show the world what women are capable of and open doors that people haven’t.”
She continued, “We opened that door and the only thing I can hope is that people continue to go through those doors because WWE is a family-friendly and hard-working company. When it comes to breaking barriers and showing what women can do. WWE highlights that and they are all for it and they push for that to happen. I was just very blessed to actually get to be a part of that, and worked hard to get there.”
When asked about her upcoming Survivor Series match this Sunday, Evans admitted she’s looking forward to representing Team SmackDown. If it were up to her, she would only get her hands on the SmackDown and RAW champions, noting that until she’s holding the titles herself, she’ll continue doing what she has to do until the time comes.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have both addressed Lacey Evans and Natalya’s history-making match at Crown Jewel. The women will compete in the first-ever women’s wrestling match to take place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia later today for the WWE special.
Both took to Twitter to address the occasion. Stephanie McMahon stressed how proud she was of both Superstars, as well as all the women who helped pave the way to this “groundbreaking moment.”
“I’m so proud of @LaceyEvansWWE, @NatbyNature and all the women who have paved the way for this groundbreaking moment, the first-ever women’s match in Saudi Arabia. It’s time to make history again! #WomensEvolution #CrownJewel @WWE”
Triple H shared Stephanie’s sentiment, reiterating how it’s an incredible moment for Evans, Natalya, the entire women’s locker room and all those that came before.
“Incredible for both of these athletes, the entire @WWE women’s locker room, and all those who paved the way for this moment. Congratulations @LaceyEvansWWE and @natbynature, continue to show the world what you can do!!!”

WWE Superstars Lacey Evans and Natalya are set to make history today as they compete in the first-ever women’s wrestling match in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Stephanie McMahon confirmed that the two will be wearing full bodysuits that will cover most of their bodies. She noted that the decision was made to respect Saudi culture.
“We need to be respectful of the cultures in the countries we perform in,” she explained to TMZ.
WWE previously made history in the Middle East in December 2017. They held a matchup between Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss. Both women wore bodysuits similar to what Stephanie is describing. Their match took place at a WWE Live Event in Abu Dhabi.
Regarding the historic event, Stephanie said “As a woman, as a mother, as just a person, I couldn’t be more proud. I am ecstatic, I am thrilled, I am many different adjectives to describe how I feel right now.”
Stephanie added that WWE officials had been working on securing a women’s match in Saudi Arabia for “a long time” and had meetings with numerous powerful Saudi officials behind the scenes to ensure it happened.
WWE Crown Jewel takes place later today from the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE’s Kickoff show will start at 12PM ET.
Stephanie McMahon recently did an interview with Bleacher Report to talk about the historic announcement WWE made on Wednesday morning.
WWE confirmed that Lacey Evans and Natalya will work the first-ever women’s match in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel. These two have wrestled each other quite a bit as of late, which led to fans wondering why they were picked for this historic contest.
“Natalya is somewhat of a legend in the women’s division. She is the veteran. She has been here for so long, been a part of so many of the changes that have happened.” McMahon added that when you consider her legacy and family history, it’s pretty remarkable.
McMahon switched gears to Evans where she noted that Evans is new to the scene but has not been shy about sharing her perspective on overcoming in her life. She also wants to set an example for her daughter, which is why they bring personal stories to the match.
McMahon added that “I can’t think of better representatives for WWE.”
McMahon was also asked about why the company didn’t book a second Evolution PPV event this year. According to McMahon, they considered it but this match was bigger due to its importance.
“We did consider it. A lot of our focus has been on having this particular match as a part of this PPV in Saudi Arabia. More to come on Evolution but it’s most likely not going to happen in 2019.”
The Saudi government had indicated to WWE they could have their first women’s match at the Super ShowDown event earlier this year to the point that WWE flew Alexa Bliss and Natalya out for the show but plans changed at the last minute.
While they are not very likely to be wrestling at the
upcoming Crown Jewel event, a few female stars of the WWE roster are atleast
traveling to Saudi Arabia.
Lana, Natalya and Lacey Evans were recently spotted at
airport with other crew members who are traveling to the country for the
upcoming event from Riyadh.
The Saudi Arabian shows have generally been criticized by fans for not including female performers on the events due to the cultural restrictions of the Middle Eastern country.
There were rumors that the company is trying to get a match between Alexa Bliss and Natalya approved for the Super Showdown event earlier this year and the officials had flown the two in for the same.
However, they didn’t manage to get approval for a match between these two and the female wrestlers ended up making appearances at hospitals and schools instead.
It’s unknown what the three female stars who have traveled to the country this week will be doing there, but it’s likely that they will be making community appearances similar to what Natalya and Bliss did earlier this year.
The Crown Jewel event is currently scheduled to feature 8 matches in total. You can check out the match card and the latest betting odds for the show at this link.
WWE Superstar Natalya recently spoke with Channel Guide Magazine discussing the latest season of E’s Total Divas. During their interview, Natalya spoke candidly about Ronda Rousey, as well as what she does to support other female Superstars.
When asked if Rousey will ever return to WWE, Natalya stated, “I think eventually Ronda will. I’m a big believer on never say never. In wrestling it’s like Hotel California. You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave.
She explained that once you get the wrestling bug, it’s there for life. With WWE also providing a family feeling, Natalya is confident she will eventually return. And when she does, Natalya wants a matchup.
“I think she’ll come back, and when she comes back, I want to wrestle her. I pray Ronda comes back because I think her, and I would have an incredible match and hopefully it would be on a huge stage. We never got to have that rivalry and feud with my dad passing away when he did. It happened abruptly, and I had high hopes of feuding with Ronda. Then I was dealing with something out of everyone’s control. It would be really cool to see her come back. I think she will. Fingers crossed.”
“She Really Pushed Me To My Limit”
Natalya has recently been helping Lacey Evans improve with her in-ring work. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by WWE personnel, with Natalya receiving praise for her work. Reflecting on her recent Last Woman Standing with Evans, she credited Paul Heyman’s faith in her to deliver.
“It was supposed to be a one-off with the fun little match we had. Paul was so motivating and inspiring when he told us, ‘I think we can make this an incredible story.’ That’s why I love working with Paul because he has such a good pulse on the industry,” she said.
“All these incredible matches and moments kept happening for me and Lacey. We got a chance to show what we can do. I walk into work to find out about the Last Woman Standing match. Lacey, she really pushed me to my limit. I almost fell off the stage trying to powerbomb her. I did it. When I beat her in that match, I felt like it was one of my favorite matches that I’ve had in years. I feel like I literally slayed the dragon. I felt like a UFC fighter scaling the cage and getting excited like Conor McGregor.”
Even the Rock is considered just a common “nasty” to Lacey Evans. She took to Twitter recently to take a shot at the Rock and the Most Electrifying Man in all of Entertainment responded.
Evans started the Twitter spat by posting a video of her replacing a picture of the Rock with a picture of herself:
Look Tracey, Stacey, whatever.. if you’re gonna picture hack me, at least get an image of your bad ass self covering my entire body as to not leave my cheat meal enhanced midriff exposed. #yourewelcome
Evans then responded and said she has more charisma than the Rock does:
It's LACEY EVANS……learn the name ya nasty.
I've got more charisma in my bad ass pinky finger than this entire company you left behind. You can #ThankMe later for picking up where you left off.💅🏼👒 #YOUREWelcomehttps://t.co/Cc8XEzL1Gv
Evans has been involved in several Twitter spats with legends from WWE’s past. She had previously been involved in a back-and-forth with Madusa. The former Alundra Blayze opened up about the experience on an episode of the WINCLY podcast:
“Lacey and I were having fun in DMs on the backside. What’s really nice is you’re gonna get very respectful people talking on the DMs saying, ‘Hey are you good with this’ before you put it out. I’m sure there’s a lot of that on the other side with WWE because they would not let that happen,” said Madusa on the show.
Smackdown tonight emanates from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Yesterday, WWE booked an Intercontinental Championship match between Roman Reigns and champion Shinsuke Nakamura for the show. Today, WWE has added two more matches to tonight’s lineup.
The promotion has booked a 6-pack challenge for tonight. The winner of the match will earn a future shot at the Smackdown Women’s Championship. The match will feature the bulk of the newly drafted Smackdown women’s division including Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose. The only members of the division not in the match are Alexa Bliss, Tamina, and champion Bayley.
Also booked for tonight’s episode of Smackdown, is a match featuring the members of Smackdown’s tag team division. In the lead-up to the tag-team turmoil match at Crown Jewel, New Day will team with Heavy Machinery to take on the Revival, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode tonight.
WWE Superstar Lacey Evans isn’t phased by people’s opinions on her staged video with a Canadian police officer. Evans uploaded a video of her berating an officer during her time in Canada for a WWE Live Event. She would later explain that, although she did get a ticket, the interaction she shared online was staged to promote WWE’s show.
Speaking with Digital Spy, Evans addressed the video once again. She explained that because she’s an entertainer, people should expect content of this nature. Evans added that she can’t help if people take offense to what she does.
“You’re going to get judged regardless. At the end of the day I’m an entertainer and that’s what I do. Some people are going to take offense to certain things, some people are going to love things and some people are going to hate.”
Statement
During the initial backlash to the video, Evans uploaded a statement to her social media accounts to break down her reasoning:
“As prior law enforcement myself and a United States Marine, I do not condone, agree with or promote disrespecting or making LEO’s jobs harder than they already are. The video was created by both parties to promote the local live event taking place in the edmonton area. As a sports Entertainer it’s my job to not only entertain but also set the proper example. So with that being said… I’m glad you all were entertained but if you ever try to honestly disrespect or put my brothers and sisters in blue in harm…I hope you get what you ask for.”
WWE Superstar Natalya has reportedly been receiving backstage praise for her work with Lacey Evans. WWE still views Evans as a future top-tier Superstar, and are willing to put in the time to help her further develop.
Natalya’s recent in-ring work with Evans hasn’t gone unnoticed by backstage personnel, including Vince McMahon, and they have acknowledged her ability to elevate Evans. The general consensus is that Evans’ has been steadily improving. The pair have been wrestling against each other at recent WWE Live Events to help Evans improve. They recently clashed in a Last Woman Standing match on RAW.
According to WrestlingNews.co, Natalya is seen as an unsung hero of the women’s division. Their source shared that “Fit [Finlay] deserves so much credit for what he’s done to help the girls but what people don’t know is Nattie has done so much to help so many people. She never asks for anything in return. She will have a job for life as a trainer whenever she decides to retire.”
Despite their matches garnering this positive feedback, the two were recently drafted to separate brands. Natalya has been drafted to Monday Night RAW. Lacey Evans, meanwhile, will now call the blue brand home as she joins SmackDown on Friday nights.
Lacey Evans has revealed an interesting part about her life while appearing in a video on Xavier Wood’s UpUpDownDown YouTube channel.
Evans shared her life story and revealed what she wants the world to know in the interview. Evans said that she came from a very rough upbringing but she got out of her bad times and made it through, and that’s what she wants people to know.
“I had a very rough upbringing, a lot of drug addiction, depression and that’s all I knew. So I joined the military, when the WWE contacted me I sat back and thought about it and how my life could change and the impact that I can make knowing where I came from – I have to do it.”
Evans told Woods that she wants to spread the message of not giving up. She had a rough upbringing but she didn’t just sit and accept her situation. Evans tried to make the most of whatever opportunity she was given and that’s how she was able to get out of the bad spot from her life.
“There’s a lot of people hurting and are going through things that they don’t wanna talk about and they just sit there and accept the lifestyle that they feel they’re stuck in. And I know what that feels like, and it’s the furthest from the truth. That is not the life you have to live. Just because that’s the card you were dealt does not mean that’s the deck you have to play with. Because life is short and you’re capable of anything and I am a prime example. “
Lacey stated that she never thought she would be famous or would be a public figure. Her mission is to take full advantage of this and help people who are suffering. She also revealed that she lives in a camper trailer and sleeps in her car.
“We have stories that people need to hear and know that life is not as bad as they feel like it is. It’s not. You don’t have to be famous like me to freaking realize that. Because, to be honest with you I sleep in my car on the road loops, and I still live in a camper trailer. That’s my life. Don’t get it twisted. You see these big hats and these pearls and whatever and life is great but I remember where I come from. I’m a normal human being and I’ve been through hell just like the rest of the world out there, just like the babies that are suffering. If I can make it, so can they.”

Madusa was recently involved in a Twitter back-and-forth with Lacey Evans. According to comments the WWE Hall-of-Famer made recently on the WINCLY podcast, WWE asked her and Evans to scale back what they were doing, however.
“Lacey and I were having fun in DMs on the back side. What’s really nice is you’re gonna get very respectful people talking on the DMs saying, ‘Hey are you good with this’ before you put it out. I’m sure there’s a lot of that on the other side with WWE because they would not let that happen,” said Madusa on the show.
You’ll be lucky to be considered a legend… ? you failed in the military. you live in a portable trailer, drag your kid and husband around. Ur hubby looked at me… gave me a complement and said “honey maybe you could be more like Alundra … your yesterday regurgitated garbage https://t.co/DobPScmSvK
— Madusa/AlundraBlayze (@Madusa_rocks) July 23, 2019
Evidently, WWE asked Lacey and Madusa to scale it back since it would not end up leading to a match.
“Lacey’s an amazing woman and has to be one of the hardest workers. She is beautiful, talented and has a big future in front of her. I idolize her and think she’s amazing. When we were going back and forth, we were just having fun. Then it got to the point where we had to scale it back because we’re not gonna go into a program.”
She wouldn't be able to handle it. Just like she couldn't handle holding the 24/7 title. ?? #RAWhttps://t.co/VBWjAzBDmB
“WWE said you need to scale back and quit that,” she continued. “There is a lot of control there with the talent and I’m sure they watch all of that stuff. But what’s more important is separating your personal life from your character.”
The full interview can be listened to in the player below:
WWE RAW Superstar Lacey Evans recently uploaded a video of an altercation between herself and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The incident occurred while Evans was in Canada for a WWE Live Event taking place in Edmonton, Alberta. Her uploaded video featured Evans, in character, berating the officer for giving her a ticket. It was accompanied by her claims that:
Since uploading the video to Twitter, both Evans and the RCMP have clarified the incident. Although she was legitimately stopped for a speeding infraction, their back-and-forth was staged. Evans claimed she wanted to film the exchange to help promote the Live Event.
Evans explained in a note posted to her account that she does not agree or condone disrespecting law enforcement or making their jobs any harder. She added that the video was created by both parties:
“As prior law enforcement myself and a United States Marine, I do not condone, agree with or promote disrespecting or making LEO’s jobs harder than they already are. The video was created by both parties to promote the local live event taking place in the edmonton area. As a sports Entertainer it’s my job to not only entertain but also set the proper example. So with that being said… I’m glad you all were entertained but if you ever try to honestly disrespect or put my brothers and sisters in blue in harm…I hope you get what you ask for.”
The RCMP also provided a statement to Yahoo! Sports:
“The female motorist was stopped for a speeding infraction where a provincial offence notice was issued. Following the issuing of the ticket, the female motorist engaged in a courteous and polite conversation with the member where the motorist identified herself as a sports entertainer with World Wrestling Entertainment. She asked the member if he would participate in a rehearsed interaction on camera with her WWE persona. The member obliged.”
Speaking with CTV News, Evans added that her character is a “sassy” bad guy and that she often plays the role because of it. As prior law enforcement, she didn’t expect people to believe their exchange was real. Evans believed that because she is a sports entertainer and in town for a performance, people would be able to realize the video was an act.
WWE Superstar Lacey Evans has shared that she’s “not going anywhere.”
In an interview with SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Evans addressed the negative reactions she has received regarding her in-ring abilities. She explained that she is continuing to learn and adjust with every show.
“You know what, it’s going to [take] time – time in this business and learning how to do what it is that is expected of me with all of this light. However, one thing I have going for me is confidence. No matter what the reviews are for any match that I have with anybody, I am not going anywhere.”
She continued,” I am going to continue to learn, and I will be the first to tell you that my in-ring work, my promo work, you name it, is not somebody that has been doing this for 10 plus years. I just now hit over three years in this business, but like I said, I am not going anywhere. I have a lot to learn, but I am confident enough to tell you that I am going to learn it and I am going to come back, week after week, month after month, year after year until I feel like I am on top. But I am not going to stop, and I am going to continue to learn what I can learn to be up there. I have the confidence to tell you what I need to learn, and it is a package deal in my mind.”
Evans then reflected on her time as a Marine. She mentioned that Marines don’t get microphones or “prance around” as she does now as a Superstar. She maintained that she will continue learning and improving with each show, and uses Live Events to help her to hone her craft, helping her “learn as much as I can for the next time my music hits on live television.”
Lacey Evans frequently calls opponents “nasty” or “nasties.” She has slung the insult at Superstars both in the ring and on social media. The term is even included on her merchandise.
Turns out, the insult stems from her days in the military.
In an interview with Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio, Evans revealed the background for the term. She explained how it is commonly used amongst US Marines as an insult those not pushing themselves.
Nasty
“The term ‘nasty’ came from the Marine Corp. when I was in boot camp,” she said. “It’s three months long, it’s hell, and you walk in there thinking that you are…whatever you thought you were when you walk into boot camp, you leave the complete opposite,” she explained.”
“They completely rip you down physically, mentally and emotionally, and they build you up to be a confident United States Marine. Now while you are in boot camp, you are called a nasty. […] In the Marine Corps, you’re always considered a “nasty” because you can always give so much more of yourself.”
She stated her character is the antithesis of this. Her intentions as Lacey Evans are to set a prime example, showing off what women are capable of.
After sniping at one another via Twitter following Blayze’s appearance on last week’s RAW Reunion special, things have only gotten more personal, with Blayze seemingly lobbying for a match between the two of them at SummerSlam.
Writing to her followers, Blayze claimed that SummerSlam needed another “legend vs current talent match” before asking who they would like to see.
Evans responded:
“I volunteer to rip you out of your retirement home and make you choke on your words.
Legend or not..you’re disrespectful, swollen headed nasty that has it coming.
Talk about my family again….. I’ll lose this career gladly waving goodbye with your blood on my hands. #Shoot”

“Yesterday’s Nasties”
This all began Evans’ initial tweet that read “Legends = Yesterday’s nasties.”
Taking issue with this, Blayze brought Lacey’s family into their argument.
She wrote about how Evans “failed in the military” before targeting her for living in a trailer and dragging her husband and kid around.
This prompted Evans to respond:
“Shootin’ the real shots? I musta got under your wrinkly skin. Bless her heart. I’m typing this 8 years honorably discharged from serving our country while in said trailer, over looking lots of land, and $$ in the bank. As far as my family goes hubby gets it every night & baby is happy.”
WWE Superstar Lacey Evans is a veteran of the U.S. Marines where she served for five years as a military police officer with the Special Reaction Team. She was able to successfully transition into wrestling but she knows how difficult it is for veterans to make it into civilian employment.
Which is why Evans will be appearing as a special guest on an upcoming episode of Lifetime Network’s TV show Military Makeover – a home-improvement series with Montel Williams which helps rebuild homes of military families. The team of the show comes prepared with building supplies, furniture and other materials to give their house a makeover.

The show’s team was in Panama Beach last week to reveal a revamped house of Gold Star widow Cody Patron, whose husband Sergeant Daniel J. Patron was killed in the line of duty back in 2011 in the Sangin Valley, Afghanistan, and her home destroyed by Hurricane Michael this past October.
The host Montel Williams, special guest Lacey Evans and the crew of the show wrapped up filming of the episode on July 20 with a big reveal of the rebuilt house.
You can catch the episode on Lifetime, August 30 at 6:30 a.m. central or on militarymakeover.tv
Carmella isn’t impressed with Lacey Evans’ recent Instagram post.
In the post, Evans shared an image of herself showing off that she was named Best Breakout Superstar via WWE fan votes. It was accompanied with the caption: “Looooorrrddd look at me.”
This prompted Carmella to reply “To be fair, you’re the only new female talent that they’ve actually used all year.”
Evans, seemingly trying to take the high road, responded that her big hats help to protect her from the shade that Carmella was throwing her way. She commented she was simply minding her own business before it began to reek of “jealousy, discontent & classlessness.”
“Future’s so bright my big hats help with shade yall ??
#BlessHerHeart
Yall smell that? I’m over here at a spa minding my own business & it starts reeking of jealousy, discontent & classlessness. swallow it, ya Nasty. #NothingButANasty #HardPillToSwallow”

Neither Lacey Evans nor Carmella are currently scheduled for a matchup during WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Lacey featured in the main event of last month’s Extreme Rules show alongside partner, Baron Corbin. The two would lose to Seth Rollins and RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.
Carmella, who has been partnered with R-Truth, has been in several popular comedy segments revolving around R-Truth’s neverending pursuit for, and protection of, the 24/7 Championship.
Alundra Blayze has snapped back at RAW Superstar Lacey Evans’ recent tweet insulting the WWE Legends that attended Monday’s RAW Reunion special.
In the original tweet, Evans wrote “Legends = Yesterday’s nasties.”
The Hall Of Famer took issue with this. She lashed back at Evans, claiming that she had “failed in the military” and now lives in a portable trailer as she drags her kid and husband around the country.
She then claimed that Lacey’s husband “looked at me” before giving her a compliment and said “honey maybe you could be more like Alundra … your yesterday regurgitated garbage.”
Her full tweet read:
“You’ll be lucky to be considered a legend… you failed in the military. you live in a portable trailer, drag your kid and husband around. Ur hubby looked at me… gave me a complement and said “honey maybe you could be more like Alundra … your yesterday regurgitated garbage”

When a fan shared they would love to see a staredown between herself and Blayze, Evans replied that “She wouldn’t be able to handle it. Just like she couldn’t handle holding the 24/7 title.”

Alundra Blayze won the 24/7 Championship this past Monday on RAW. She then sold it to the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase after threatening to throw it into the trash in homage to her return to WCW in ’95.
RAW Superstar Lacey Evans has shared a personal story detailing issues she went through prior to her WWE career.
Having suffered from gestational diabetes, and at one point weighing 210 pounds, Lacey wrote that she wants to ensure she remains healthy and happy going forward, setting the best example for her daughter.
She wrote the following:
“I had gestational diabetes and was 210lbs after I had my daughter. I wanted so badly to make sure I was healthy, happy and set the example as a mother. I wanted to be sober. Mentally strong and a motivator. I got what I wanted and continue to work for it evey single day.”
Before sharing her story, Evans uploaded an image that said “I don’t hide my scars. They are proof that I showed up for life. And fought.”
She accompanied that post with a quote from British author Chris Cleave’s book, Little Bee:
“In a few breaths’ time I will speak some sad words to you. But you must hear them the same way we have agreed to see scars now. Sad words are just another beauty. A sad story means, this storyteller is alive.”
Lacey Evans has been a frequent challenger for Becky Lynch’s RAW Women’s Championship. She recently competed in a losing effort, teaming with Baron Corbin against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Extreme Rules.
WWE NXT star Matt Riddle got fans talking when he responded to a fan who tweeted about Lacey Evans not selling WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley’s finisher after Monday’s episode of RAW went off the air.
Evans lost to WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in the dark main event which led to Bayley running out to make the save for Lynch. A fan tweeted a video of the segment, which saw Riddle write the following:
This appears to be a reference to Goldberg, who was in the headlines due to his match against The Undertaker at the WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event last week and Riddle taking shots at him on social media.
During this interview, Riddle, who is one of WWE’s top prospect and seems destined to be called up to the main roster, was critical of Goldberg for a wide range of reasons.
Lynch makes her next title defense against Evans at the WWE Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event on Sunday, June 23 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA.
Lacey Evans has never had it easy, but that’s what makes her the focused, driven performer who is determined to achieve success at the highest level possible in WWE.
Although she is still only 29 years old, Evans has had a long lifetime full of struggles and obstacles en route to her current spot on WWE’s main roster as part of the RAW brand. The three-year WWE veteran who is a former military police officer with the Special Reaction Team (a specialized unit similar to SWAT), recently spoke with Brian Fritz (@BrianFritz) of Sporting News about a number of topics, including taking her daughter on the road with her in WWE.
“It’s amazing. It definitely motivates me,” Evans told Fritz about traveling on the road in WWE with her daughter. “It reminds me why I do what I’m doing and it really helps me through this process. I’m learning a lot within WWE. The biggest thing that I like is the fact that she’s here and she can watch me first-hand work really hard to fight for becoming a champion and doing good at whatever is expected from me.”
Evans continued, “Life is hard, new jobs are hard. They really put you out of your element and it takes a lot. So, to be able to show her first-hand the work that gets put in and show her that she’s capable of anything as long as she works hard, it means a lot to me.”
“The Sassy Southern Belle” knows first-hand about putting work in. She told Fritz, however, that she is eager to do more.
Evolution Of Lacey Evans On WWE Main Roster
After initially coming out, waving and leaving when first joining the WWE main roster, Evans has finally been able to show her physical side as of late.
She recently competed against RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the title at the WWE Money In The Bank 2019 pay-per-view. Although she came up short in her attempt to capture the top prize on the red brand in her first swing at the plate, she did manage to provide an enormous assist to Charlotte Flair.
Evans helped “The Queen” gain an advantage in her SmackDown Women’s Championship match with Lynch on the same PPV, as she hit “The Man” with her “Women’s Rights” finisher, which ultimately led to Flair beating Lynch for the title.
While talking with Sporting News this week, Evans spoke about being a very physical person, a trait she credits the U.S. Marine Corps for instilling it in her at a young, formative age.
“Oh, I’m a very physical person. Blame it on the military if you want, but I’m mean,” Evans said. “I’ve very mean and I was excited to get my hands on somebody. It didn’t matter who. I was just blessed that I got to walk out and show my face and remind the WWE Universe that Lacey Evans is here and ready for whatever the hell she wants.”
She added, “It was cool but, definitely, I was excited to get in the ring and start proving what I’m capable of.”
The Sassy Southern Belle Overcomes Adversity, Finds Herself In Marine Corps
Evans is capable of quite a bit after overcoming a difficult childhood and serving in the military for several years before making the transition to the pro wrestling world.
“There was depression, addiction and it was never enough,” Evans told Fritz about the environment she grew up in. “My father, unfortunately, lost his battle just two months before my WWE tryout. The Marine Corps saved me as far as getting my mind clear and being able to get myself in a place with better influences and role models in my life because I didn’t have that growing up.”
The WWE Superstar explained how joining the U.S. Marine Corps definitely changed her life for the better.
“If I didn’t join the Marine Corps, there’s no telling what would have happened to me, my family,” Evans said. “Me as a mother, me as a wife, but it’s definitely one of the best decisions I ever did make because growing up without a positive role model, you’ve got to find them somewhere and I found that in the United States Marine Corps. I found that in the leadership I had while in active duty and I couldn’t be more blessed to have that in my life because it definitely made me the woman that I am today.”
Lacey Evans Goes From Black & Gold To Red, Ready To Prove Herself
The woman Lacey Evans is today is one of the top contenders in the current women’s landscape on the WWE main roster. Not only did her transition from the black-and-gold brand in NXT to the red brand in WWE come with more career opportunities, it also helped improve her personal life at home.
“It’s been very good,” Evans said when asked how the transition from NXT to WWE went for her. “When you go from NXT to RAW, where I’m at now, you get to actually move back home from Orlando. That’s the best thing that I like is the fact that I actually go back home because we’re on the road so much. But I worked prior to WWE and I worked really hard to establish a home that had to go on the back burner in order for me to focus and hone in my skills as being a sports entertainer. I just get to be home a little more, my home in South Carolina and I get to raise my baby in the town that she’s from.”
As far as the business side of things, Evans admitted the transition came with bigger opportunities. This, according to Evans, is exactly what she wants. All she has ever wanted is a chance to prove herself, and now, she feels she is in a position to do exactly that.
“The spotlight goes from big to bigger and you’re really put out there and out of your element and expected to show what you’re capable of,” said Evans. “It’s motivating. It lights a fire under you to push yourself more. Show up and prove to them in WWE that you can do whatever they need you to do.”
After spending years proving herself in the U.S. military and again in NXT, Evans is ready now more than ever to prove herself to the WWE Universe.
