  • Lana Vows To Have The Greatest Career Of Any Woman In WWE History

After making her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 32, Lana continues to train at the WWE Performance Center. She’ll be competing once again during WWE’s ongoing European tour along with ‘Team BAD & Blonde.’

During an interview with WWE.com, she explained what’s driving her focus to continue training. She feels that a lot of WWE performers lose their hunger and drive once they make it to the main roster. She wants to be iconic and the greatest female wrestler in WWE history. Regarding her match at WrestleMania 32, Lana said,

“I know I can fight. I know I have kicks that can destroy people. Just because I haven’t gotten in the ring in my career, that doesn’t mean I’m not capable of crushing people. I’ve seen more in my career never having a fight than all those girls combined. Like, what girl stood face-to-face with The Rock? What girl stood face-to-face with John Cena? With Chris Jericho? With ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper? I can keep going on and on. So, if you’re going to challenge me, criticize me, and you’re going to say I’m not good enough, then I’m going to kick your head off. Don’t push me.”

When asked her thoughts about the new WWE Women’s Championship, Lana played it coy. She said she doesn’t like telling people what her plans are – and she does have big plans. She promised, “I will be the greatest woman to ever enter WWE, and I will leave the greatest legacy that WWE has ever seen.”

  • Renee Young, Lana & Maryse Rumored For Total Divas, More On Maryse’s Return

WWE Diva Maryse appears to be back with the company after making another appearance at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings from Houston, Texas. Mrs. Mizanan had her own entrance music & video and cut a promo before The Miz’s match against Zack Ryder. She made her WWE television return the previous night on RAW, assisting Miz in ending Ryder’s 24-hour title reign.

On Tuesday Wrestling INC reported that Maryse will be joining the cast of Total Divas — along with Renee Young and Lana. Naomi will also be returning. There hasn’t been any official announcements regarding the cast shakeup, but they will be replacing Rosa Mendes, Alicia Fox and Mandy on the show.

Paul Ellering Worried About His Daughter In Wrestling, WWE Hardcore Title DVD, Lana

    – Featured above is the latest episode of WWE Diva Lana and Rene Lovit’s “Sisters The Series” YouTube show. The episode is called, “CREW” and is the second in the series.

    – WWE is planning to release a “Hardcore” DVD and Blu-ray at some point in the 2016 calendar year. According to WrestlingDVDNetwork.com, the set is expected to cover the history of the WWE Hardcore Championship from 1998 through 2002 with video packages and a compilation of matches. The set, which is tentatively titled, “The History Of The Hardcore Championship: 24/7” will be released in September.

    – WWE Hall Of Famer Paul Ellering recently spoke with MPR News about dealing with crazy wrestling fans during his active career and concerns he has about his daughter potentially dealing with the same issues.

Ellering, who is best known as the manager of the Road Warriors, spoke about fans trying to fight the wrestlers back in the day, noting that he still keeps space between himself and the fans when appearing at autograph signings today.

According to Ellering, what most concerns him about his daughter — Rachael Ellering — entering the business is the fact that she will be on the road and in front of the public on a consistent basis.

“I trust in her ability,” Ellering told MPR News. “She is a tremendous talent. Anytime you’re in the public, (there are) lots of weirdos.”

  • News On Lana & Brie Bella’s Feud, Potential Mania Match

News On Lana & Brie Bella’s Feud, Potential Mania Match

Last night on RAW, Lana attacked Brie Bella, fueling speculating speculation that they’ll be feuding in the near future. Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Lana once again has heat backstage with WWE management.

“There’s a lot of internal stuff going on with Lana right now,” Meltzer stated. Bryan Alvarez, Meltzer’s co-host, noted that it seems like Lana has been disliked backstage for quite some time. Meltzer replied, “Yeah, but now there’s new stuff.”

Previously, was in hot water for going public with her engagement to Rusev when they were at odds on television and Lana was romantically linked with Dolph Ziggler. Late last year, Lana exchanged some heated words with Paige on social media, which didn’t do her any favors either.

Lana vs. Brie Bella was discussed for WrestleMania at one point, but Lana is reportedly ready for a singles match just yet and her current standing with the company may lead to it being scrapped.

  • WWE Issues Statement On Allegations Of Sexism In Presentation

    https://youtu.be/dZbiyZW4RUw

A topic that’s gotten some attention this past week on wrestling websites and social media has been the continuing discussion of WWE’s treatment of women both behind the scenes and in terms of their storytelling. While this has been brewing for a while because of the whole NXT Women’s Division vs. WWE Divas’ Division dynamic, it came to a head this past week because of two moments on WWE programming:

    1. Ric Flair forcibly kissing Becky Lynch as a distraction spot and the announcers laughing it off as a comedy spot.
    2. The Rock’s entire interaction with Lana, who was returning to TV after a noticeable absence, being about the idea that she cheated on Rusev with him when he last appeared on Monday Night Raw.

Today, the topic was explored in an article at Vocative by Alex Groot titled “WWE’s Looming Sexism Problem.” When asked for comment on the piece, WWE issued the following statement:

WWE programming, which features fictional characters that cover a range of personalities similar to movies and television shows, tells stories of good versus evil. In addition, as our on-going storylines develop, we will continue to position women as both strong competitors and compelling individuals.

Of course, as mentioned by Groot, even if you can argue that at least Flair was an evil villain doing evil things, The Rock was the babyface and Lana was the heel.

  • Konnan Says Airport Incident Is The Real Reason For Lana’s Backstage Heat

Konnan Says Airport Incident Is The Real Reason For Lana’s Backstage Heat

On a recent episode of his podcast, Konnan may have shed some light on why Lana reportedly has more heat with the WWE locker room. As we reported earlier, Dave Meltzer said on Monday that “there was another thing that happened with her and I don’t know all the details, but it has added to her legacy so to speak.”

Meltzer didn’t get into specifics of the incident, but on Konnan’s MLW Radio podcast, he claims there was an incident at an airport recently where Lana was yelling at Rusev in front of people. Konnan claimed that Rusev also had some heat on him for not sticking up for himself to her.

Prior to this incident, she had heat with Vince McMahon himself after she exposed her real-life engagement with Rusev, which conflicted with an on-air storyline.

  • Rusev Breaks Character On Twitter To Refute Rumors (Sort Of)

Last night, using the hashtag #MilkIsForBabies for some reason, Rusev held an impromptu question and answer session on Twitter. Being Rusev’s Twitter account, it was mostly hilarious, favorably comparing Vince McMahon’s hugs to Bayley’s, claiming that a bear no-showed a fight with him in a WWE ring, and more. But it also took a turn when a fan asked him what his favorite moment in WWE was so far:

Then the talk from a few weeks back about him wearing a knee wrap after he said he hadn’t injured his knee:

Then, this morning, after the Q&A, when a fan replied to the “reading lies” tweet with “I’ll trust @davemeltzerWON over a WWE employee who can & will be punished if he doesn’t say exactly what Vince tells him to,” Rusev quoted the reply and said this:

Of course, other than the injury issue (and even then, there are all sorts of degrees of injuries and it’s not as if there aren’t minor knee injuries that someone would be cleared to work on), he didn’t really call out anything specific. On Monday’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio for F4WOnline.com subscribers, Meltzer said this about Lana when going over The Rock’s segment on Raw (transcript h/t to Keith Harris at Cageside Seats):

By the way, there was another thing that happened with her and I don’t know all the details, but it has added to her legacy so to speak. Something happened where, you know, she said something. It’s probably nothing except everyone is talking about it and essentially she’s got the new round [of heat]. If people had calmed down about her and just said ‘well, OK, she made a mistake,’ well they haven’t.

    […]

I was just told about it tonight after the show and it was actually by someone who had not even watched the show, but had heard the story, just saying that like there’s a new round of heat, everyone likes Rusev and there was something, and, you know, they are just mad at her again.

This continues the recent trend of WWE talent attempting to refute rumors without actually saying anything. Plus, of course, it should go without saying, but Rusev’s choice of words implies that Meltzer just made up whatever story he was theoretically refuting, and even in the event the rumor was false, that’s obviously something Dave would never do. It’s disingenuous to even imply that about someone who’s been reporting on the business for decades.

  • More Backstage Heat On Lana (Report)

More Backstage Heat On Lana (Report)

There is said to be ‘another round’ of heat on Lana, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

Lana recently said something that’s getting her a lot of negative attention backstage. Meltzer noted that “it’s probably nothing except everyone is talking about it.” The Rock’s backstage interaction with her last night where he spoke about her coming to his hotel room and telling Rusev how ‘flexible’ she is that reflects her current standing with the company.

Previously, Lana was in the doghouse after she went public with her engagement to Rusev while they were broken up on WWE television. She also didn’t win anybody over by calling out Paige on Twitter a few months ago.

Despite what’s going on with Lana, Rusev is still well liked backstage.

  • The Rock Continues To Hype WrestleMania 32 Appearance, Rob Gronkowski/Lana

    – The Rock continues to hype the fact that he plans to make history during his appearance at WrestleMania 32 in April. His latest tweet about his WrestleMania 32 announcement from earlier this week reads as follows:

  • Lana Teasing That She’ll Be Dropping Her Russian Accent

Following her return to television on Monday’s RAW, Lana joined her fiancé Rusev for this week’s WWE.com sit-down interview with Michael Cole. While speaking to Cole mid-way through the interview, it was apparent that she was speaking without the Russian accent we see her use on WWE television. The Ravishing Russian got some feedback on social media about her shifting dialect and explained it with the following tweet:

You can watch below to see Lana speaking without her Russian accent:

  • Video: Rusev & Lana Talk To Cole About Engagement, Wedding Plans

Featured above is Michael Cole’s latest weekly sit-down interview, which this week features real-life engaged couple Rusev and Lana.

During the interview Cole brings up Lana not “going all the way” with Dolph Ziggler, which Lana says is true, noting she has always been a “good girl.” She mentioned that her father, a Russian minister, raised her to “save herself for marriage,” which she claims is exactly what she’s doing.

Cole also asks about Rusev “going all the way” with Summer Rae, noting he has a source that claims Rusev wasn’t being honest, as he did “go all the way” with Summer on more than one occasion.

The two talk about their real-life engagement, which is now being used in the current WWE storylines. Lana mentions that she tried not to show it when they were fighting, but she always loved Rusev. Rusev said he loves Lana with all his heart and that he might have done some things wrong in the past, but they’ve talked it over and are moving on.

Finally, Rusev and Lana mention that they will be having two weddings. One will be in September in Bulgaria, and the second one will be a three-day wedding in Russia. Rusev says their American friends are invited, but their ceremony will not be televised and won’t be on the WWE Network.

  • Lana Ambushed On RAW With Line About ‘Going All The Way’ With Ziggler

Last night on RAW, Lana returned and reunited with her real-life fiancé, Rusev on MizTV. Their segment was interrupted by Ryback, who delivered a line about Dolph Ziggler informing him that he “went all the way” with Lana during their time as a [fictional] couple.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Rusev and Lana were not told about that line in advance. It was in the script for RAW, but Lana was caught off guard by it in what Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez called a “double cross.”

As we’ve been reporting for several weeks, there’s been a lot of heat on Lana for revealing on social media that she and Rusev were still an item while they were at odds on television, as well as her social media beef with Paige.

  • Bray Wyatt vs. Bubba Ray Dudley Set For SmackDown, Ziggler On Lana’s Return, More

She has been off the road since undergoing surgery on her wrist in early September.

    – Former WWE star Brad Maddox is now taking bookings. Promoters can reach out to bradmaddoxbookings@yahoo.com. During his 90-day no-compete period, he is restricted from making any televised appearances for rival promotions.

As noted earlier this week, he was released from WWE as a result of him using the phrase “cocky pricks” while ripping on the Indianapolis Colts prior to his dark match at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings.

  • Dolph Ziggler On His On-Air Chemistry With Lana, Taz’s Thanksgiving Show, More

    – WWE posted the following tweet to promote a new WWE.com feature that looks at the history of WWE World Heavyweight Champions, including current champion Sheamus.

  • Update On Lana’s “Nuclear Heat” With WWE Management, Paige/Bullying Claims

In regards to the “nuclear heat” that we reported Lana has backstage in WWE right now, it was noted to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reports that WWE isn’t happy with her right now is a “major understatement.”

Despite the fact that WWE’s official website was told — and attempted to — turn the Lana situation into a storyline, when she began publicly tearing into Paige on social media for “bullying her” during her time in NXT, it was at that point that Lana went from having heat to “nuclear heat.”

In regards to the claim that she was bullied by Paige in NXT, it was noted to the Observer that it’s a “preposterous charge,” and that Paige and Charlotte were the two who were messed with the most when they first arrived to WWE’s developmental system.

Another WWE talent ended up writing something negative about Lana after seeing what was said about Paige, but was immediately called by the WWE office and was told to take it down.

Lana is currently in the gym training for her eventual WWE return.

  • Lana Has “Nuclear Heat,” Seth Rollins Comments On Starting Rehab

    – There continues to be a ton of heat on Lana behind the scenes in WWE. According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Lana still has “nuclear heat” as a result of her leaking the news of her engagement to Rusev, as well as her recent Twitter war with Paige.

As seen last night on RAW, Rusev returned to action while Lana remained off television.

    – Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is beginning his rehab today at Quad City Crossfit in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa. Rollins posted the following on Instagram today:

  • Update On Lana’s Backstage Heat

The heated Twitter exchange between Paige and Lana has been a point of discussion within WWE this week. Lana accused Paige of bullying her while the two were in NXT together, while Paige denied the claim and said Lana is just hungry for fame. Summer Rae and former NXT creative assistant Rob Naylor both came to Paige’s defense.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE officials aren’t happy with Lana, and she apparently has even more backstage heat due to the Twitter war with Paige. WWE has reportedly been upset with Lana ever since she went public with her engagement to Rusev, as they felt it ruined their television storyline with Rusev and Summer Rae. After Lana posted about her engagement to Rusev, the WWE.com team was instructed to turn the real-life situation into an angle, feeling that was the way to go about covering things up and convincing fans that it was just part of a storyline.

Prior these incidents, Lana was one of Vince McMahon’s favorite young talents. Whether or not that is still the case after all of the drama remains to be seen.

  • Lana & Paige Exchanging Trash Talk On Social Media
