Update On Lars Sullivan’s Post-WWE Plans

Lars Sullivan departed WWE last month after asking the company for his release. The 32-year-old told the company he was retiring from pro-wrestling due to his issues with anxiety. According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, Sullivan plans on getting into the world of bare-knuckled boxing.

“Dylan Miley, the former Lars Sullivan, is now doing boxing training with the
idea of working for one of the Bare Knuckle promotions,” wrote Dave Meltzer.

The report would continue to state that Sullivan doesn’t have any illusions about his prospects in the sport, however. He’s 32-years-old and does not have prior boxing training. Still, he plans on making a go of it in the sport.

Sullivan’s release from WWE was addressed recently on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

“He was going to get a push, a real big push as a matter of fact, and he could not handle the pressure. He had an anxiety attack, he was suffering even before. Then he stopped coming, kept not coming, and at that point, this has happened before.”

“They brought him back a second time with a big push, he got the knee injury. They brought him back a 3rd time with a big push, he stopped coming. At that point, I think it was inevitable how it was going to end up.”

Backstage News On Lars Sullivan’s Release From WWE

It was reported earlier this week that Lars Sullivan has been released from WWE. The 32-year-old was a controversial figure in wrestling due to online statements he had made in the past but he was someone that WWE wanted to push. According to comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio, his release was due to several incidents of no-showing events. These no-shows are being attributed to anxiety attacks.

“He was going to get a push, a real big push as a matter of fact, and he could not handle the pressure. He had an anxiety attack, he was suffering even before. Then he stopped coming, kept not coming, and at that point, this has happened before.”

The previous event being referred to took place in early 2019. Lars Sullivan is reported to have left the January 14th, 2019 RAW due to suffering an anxiety attack. He was scheduled to work a program with John Cena at the time.

“He was supposed to beat John Cena at the 2019 WrestleMania and he no-showed the angle where he was going to layout Cena to set up the angle,” Meltzer continued.

“They brought him back a second time with a big push, he got the knee injury. They brought him back a 3rd time with a big push, he stopped coming. At that point, I think it was inevitable how it was going to end up.”

Lars Sullivan Released by WWE

Lars Sullivan is no longer with WWE, as first reported by PWInsider. The news has since been confirmed by WWE.

Sullivan was with the company since 2013. He spent several years training in developmental before debuting for NXT in 2017. Sullivan had some success in NXT and was pushed as a monster heel. He made his main roster debut in April 2019, the night after WrestleMania 36 when he attacked Kurt Angle, who had just retired. For the next several months, he attacked several top babyface acts on Raw.

He was abruptly sidelined later that year when he was at the center of a scandal. Prior to joining WWE, Sullivan was very outspoken on certain Internet message boards. A series of posts were unearthed that included some remarks that were racist and homophobic. Many fans on social media knew about this flagrant activity for years, but apparently WWE became aware of them in 2019.

WWE announced that he was fined $100,000 and required to undergo sensitivity training. A company statement read, “WWE supports a culture of inclusion regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation, and we are committed to embracing all individuals as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide. Dylan Miley (aka Lars Sullivan) will be fined $100,000 and required to complete sensitivity training for offensive commentary uncovered from his past. WWE will also facilitate meetings for Dylan with community organizations to foster further discussion around the power of social media and the impact of your words.”

Sullivan issued a statement apologizing for those who were offended. Soon after this incident, he blew out his knee and was off television for over a year. He made one final appearance on WWE SmackDown back in October 2020 before disappearing once again.

“Pro Wrestling Is The Last Business To Be In If You Have any Mental Issues” – Ryback

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Lars Sullivan on his Shooting Blanks Pro Wrestling podcast. It has been noted over the past several years that Sullivan has been suffering from mental health issues, and these appear to now be being brought to television for his on screen persona.

The initial segments from late October/early November showed signs of a mental health based angle, however these have ceased recently, leading some to believe that the angle was nixed.

Ryback on Lars Sullivan

“He does have psychological issues to a degree. Sullivan’s had counselling and had issues and they’re kind of putting him in that role on TV, of acknowledging the problems” Ryback would begin on the podcast. “Which is a great storyline, if you’re doing something with it.”

As mention the angle appears to have been sidelined for the time being, and Ryback questioned why the company would pull the trigger only to renege on it. “But then all of a sudden…to do that and then to [pull the angle]? There could be something to that where he goes, ‘look, I’m not comfortable doing this guys.’ Then [they say] ‘it’s okay you’re off TV until we’re gonna figure out,’ maybe they’re finding something different. That’s a very realistic scenario.”

Ryback would then praise Sullivan as a presence on the show, saying he could be a big time player in WWE. “There’s money in Lars Sullivan. “There’s money with him, to a degree. But I’m saying this, pro wrestling is the last business you need to be in if you have any mental issues, regardless.”

“[That could be] anxiety, or anything” Ryback continued. “You have to have thick, thick skin in pro wrestling on every aspect, especially in the WWE land. I think AEW in a way? It’s a friendlier environment. But the land of WWE? They can eat you alive.”

Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that Lars Sullivan could end up a big star in WWE? Let us know in the comments

Details On WWE’s Planned Feud For Lars Sullivan

Lars Sullivan returned to WWE Friday night on Smackdown. He also appeared on RAW last night and attacked the Miz and John Morrison. Sullivan will face Jeff Hardy in singles action on this coming edition of Smackdown as well.

According to comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a planned direction for Sullivan. Whether the company sticks to this direction or not might be another story but the plan is for Sullivan to eventually feud with Braun Strowman.

“Well, you knew that Lars Sullivan’s feud is not going to be with Miz and Morrison, they’re just there to get destroyed,” said Dave Meltzer.

“It’s Strowman in a year but not yet, they are on a different sides,” Meltzer continued to say about where Lars is going.

“There is, Braun Strowman in a year,” Meltzer then responded when Bryan Alvarez sounded skeptical that there is a plan. “I already know that.”

Alvarez then offered to bet Meltzer $50 on whether or not the feud actually happens. Currently, Strowman and Sullivan are on separate brands.

“There is a direction, there is always a direction. It’s just Vince wakes up and changes the direction, you know how that goes,” Meltzer continued.

Lars Sullivan Returns On WWE Friday Night SmackDown

Lars Sullivan has made his return to WWE television after being on the sidelines for the first time in 16 months.

He did so during Friday’s episode of SmackDown on FOX after Matt Riddle and Jeff Hardy defeated John Morrison & The Miz in a tag team match.

After the match, Sullivan walked down to the ring inside of Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center. He attacked Miz, Hardy, and Riddle to stand tall to close out the segment.

Sullivan underwent knee surgery in June 2019. At the time, his return was not expected to happen until this year, which is what happened.

He had been out of the ring after he was dealing with a knee injury. It was believed to be an injury that would cause him to be out for 6-9 months, which meant his original timetable was in December or around WrestleMania 36 season.

Interesting enough there was no word on whether the injury delayed his return or it came down to a creative situation as he was posting videos of him working out since February.

Prior to the injury, he was slated to get a monster push.

3 WWE Superstars Expected To Return From Injury Shortly

There are currently 3 WWE Superstars who could be back from long-term injuries shortly. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nia Jax, Jeff Hardy, and Lars Sullivan could all be back soon.

Jeff Hardy was backstage at the recent Smackdown in Glendale, Arizona. He is due to be back from knee surgery at any point. He has been on the shelf since April. Hardy and his brother Matt had been the Smackdown tag team champions when Hardy was injured shortly after WrestleMania. They were forced to vacate the titles. Jeff has had additional time added to his WWE contract due to injuries as well, which is why Matt’s contract is up on March 1st and Jeff is still under contract past that time.

Nia Jax also went on the shelf in April of last year. She had double knee surgery that was expected to take her out of action until early 2020. She’s expected back shortly as well.

Lars Sullivan went down with a knee injury in June and was estimated to be back in 6-9 months. That put his return scheduled for some time around January – March 2020. So, he is due to be cleared for a return shortly. Sullivan was fined $100,000 by the company last year after offensive message board posts from years ago resurfaced and garnered a strong reaction from fans.

Lars Sullivan Injury Update

An injury update on Lars Sullivan has surfaced online.

Over the weekend, Sullivan shared a video of him doing a workout on his official Instagram account, which started speculation that he was getting closer to making a return to in-ring action.

However, that’s not the case, as it was noted in the Daily Update on F4Wonline that they were told his return is not imminent and that he’s about midway or so through his recuperation from surgery.

Sullivan underwent knee surgery in June. At the time, his expected return was not to happen until next year.

The former NXT star made his debut on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, in Brooklyn, New York earlier this year during a segment with Baron Corbin and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Lars Sullivan Likely Out For The Rest of 2019

Back in January, it was reported that Sullivan was supposed to appear with several other WWE NXT stars, but he never appeared.

Around that time, Sullivan was supposed to attack John Cena, which would’ve kicked off a feud that would’ve resulted in a match at WrestleMania.

The plans were scrapped when Sullivan flew home after an anxiety attack.

Lars Sullivan Likely Out For The Rest of 2019

Lars Sullivan could be out of action for up to 9 months dealing with a knee injury. Sullivan’s scheduled appearance on Smackdown last week was scrapped due to his condition. He’s recently had an MRI done to assess the damage.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE officials believe Lars could be out of action anywhere between 6-9 months.

“Sullivan’s knee injury reported on last week was worse than anticipated but we don’t know more details than that. He underwent an MRI during the week. The only stuff we’ve heard is that the company believes he will be out six to nine months,” wrote Dave Meltzer.

Lars Sullivan Dealing With Knee Injury

Sullivan recently defeated the Lucha House Party on an episode of RAW from June 10th. He defeated the Lucha House Party previously at Super ShowDown as well via disqualification.

Between NXT and the main roster, Lars Sullivan has wrestled 16 singles matches on WWE programming. He is 15-1 with his only loss coming to Aleister Black in an NXT title match from NXT TakeOver: Chicago II.

Sullivan made his WWE main roster debut on April 8th episode of RAW, attacking Kurt Angle.

Lars Sullivan Reportedly Dealing With An Injury

“The Freak” Lars Sullivan is reportedly dealing with an injury that appears to be more severe than initially believed.

According to F4Wonline.com, Sullivan was booked to appear during this past Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown but would end up pulled from the match due to an injury.

New information has since been revealed, highlighting that Sullivan is suffering from a knee injury. There are no definitive details pertaining to the seriousness of the injury itself, though it was said it doesn’t look like a small thing.

Lars will be undergoing an MRI scan to allow WWE to understand the extent of the damage. At the time of writing, there is no prospective return date for “The Freak.”

Freak ShowDown

Lars Sullivan recently defeated The Lucha House Party in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia.

Despite being booked as a monster heel, Sullivan would actually pick up the win via disqualification. This was the result of a relentless attack by the Lucha House Party.

Sullivan would demolish the luchas after the matchup had concluded. The DQ ending wasn’t the original finish to the matchup, but Vince McMahon made the decision to change it up.

A rematch took place this week on Monday Night RAW, which Sullivan won in decisive fashion.

Finish For Lars Sullivan Match Changed By Vince McMahon

Despite being primed for a significant heel push, Lars Sullivan picked up a confusing win during WWE’s recent Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Instead of having Sullivan play the monster heel, demonstrating power and strength by demolishing the Lucha House Party, their match instead ended in a disqualification after the three luchas attacked Lars.

Turns out that the original finish for the matchup was changed, with Vince McMahon instead opting for the three-person beat down, DQ ending instead.

“There’s No Logic Here”

Dave Meltzer, of Wrestling Observer Radio, commented on the situation, saying “[…] the finish got changed, and the original thing that would have theoretically made sense was in fact what they were going to do. Why that changed, I have no idea. I’ve heard that they may be running the match in San Jose [on Monday Night RAW].”

So the logical ending was originally on the table before being unceremoniously switched to what transpired. The lack of logic isn’t lost on many, including WWE staff members.

When Meltzer asked a source about the reasoning behind the decision, he was told “There’s no logic here. There’s no explanation of anything. Why did Shane McMahon win [instead of Roman Reigns]? It’s not like there’s a reason, it’s just weird.”

It’s worth noting that once the match had ended, “The Freak” proceeded to destroy the Lucha House Party in a post-match assault. But it begs the question: why not just have him deliver the same during the matchup itself?

Segments Announced For Smackdown

Smackdown this week will emanate from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX. 3 segments have been confirmed for the show thus far.

WWE has scheduled a “Moment of Bliss” segment for Tuesday. Alexa Bliss will interview Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley.

“One week after Bayley’s hard-fought victory over Lacey Evans led to post-match chaos between The Lady and an interfering Charlotte Flair, the SmackDown Women’s Champion is scheduled to be Alexa Bliss’ special guest on ‘A Moment of Bliss,'” a WWE press release reads.

Another announced segment for Tuesday will be an interview segment with Lars Sullivan. The Lucha House Party will face Lars in a 3-on-1 handicap match at Super ShowDown at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg To Appear On Smackdown

As previously reported, Goldberg is also being advertised for Tuesday night’s show. The former Universal Champion will face the Undertaker (also advertised for Smackdown) at Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“The former Universal Champion hasn’t set foot in a WWE ring since the night after he battled Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33,” a WWE press release reads. “It does not go unnoticed that Goldberg is choosing to appear on SmackDown, the brand with which The Phenom has long been associated. What are Goldberg’s intentions and what will his rare appearance mean for his once-in-a-lifetime clash with The Deadman next Friday?”

Titus O’Neil Talks Working With Lars Sullivan

Titus O’Neil was a guest on the most recent edition of the E&C Pod of Awesomeness recently. During his appearance on the show, O’Neil spoke about his charitable work, upbringing, and conversations he has had recently with Lars Sullivan.

Titus said that Lars’ comments were “oppressive and offensive” but noted he has had the chance to speak with Lars regarding them.

“Lars sought me out and he sought out other people,” Titus said. “I sat with Lars for about 35 minutes in talent relations, just me and him.”

“People automatically called for him to be fired, called for him to be ostracized,” Titus continued.

“I looked at a man that was humbled, very apologetic, really very misguided as well,” Titus continued. “We dwelled and we talked about some things. Not to say there is ever an excuse but until you know somebody’s story until you know someone personally, you can’t take it personally, and you can’t come up with your own conclusions. Because there is a conclusion and there is a reason why people get to a certain point and do certain things.”

Titus O’Neil On Lars Sullivan Situation

“I believe in my heart that this situation with Lars will be a teachable moment for everybody from all walks of life,” he continued. “And I’m willing to put my name on this situation, just going with my gut and my heart, simply because of how he came to me as a man and came to other people as a man.”

He would also say that he will continue to work with Lars.

“I’m going to do my best to help him not get past this but actually learn from it,” Titus continued.

It sounds as though Titus and Lars talked about how this situation is an opportunity for Lars to influence those he grew up around as well.

“I also want him to utilize this as an opportunity to grow other people around him. Maybe people he grew up with, maybe his Dad, Mom and Dad, brothers, whatever, everybody can learn from this based on how he responds to this,” Titus continued. “With guidance, I think this is going to be a very positive outcome.”

O’Neil’s comments about the Lars Sullivan situation begin at about the 49:30 mark.

Titus’ book “There’s No Such Thing As A Bad Kid” will be released August 9th.

More Information On The Anxiety Issues Lars Sullivan Suffered Earlier This Year

Lars Sullivan’s past racist and bigoted comments have been a focal point of conversation amongst fans in recent weeks.

Despite their awareness of said comments, WWE still wanted to go ahead with a significant push for the Superstar. In an effort to demonstrate a reprimanding, the company has since levelled Sullivan with a legitimate $100,000 fine and sensitivity training that he must undertake.

Prior to his initial call up, however, there were rumblings that Sullivan was due to debut in a major feud with John Cena. This rivalry would have culminated at WrestleMania 35, providing Cena with a big match and Lars an opportunity to shine on the “Grandest Stage Of Them All” with the Babe Ruth of WWE.

But things didn’t pan out that way.

Sullivan would suffer serious anxiety issues before the storyline could begin, nixing his own main roster debut in the process. His anxiety issues would see him take time off to deal with his problems, with many believing he suffered stage fright from the pressure.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, however, says this isn’t the case. Instead, the anxiety was directly related to his concerns over his comments coming to light and having obvious repercussions on him, his career, those close to him, as well as WWE.

Despite trying to deal with the issue internally, having known about these comments for at least a year, the news still came out over his past.

Sullivan has since released an official statement and has apologised personally to several WWE talent, including The New Day and Titus O’Neil.

Lars Sullivan Fined by WWE for Past Controversial and Bigoted Comments

Lars Sullivan — real name Dylan Miley — has been fined and will have to undergo sensitivity training after past bigoted comments he had made surfaced online.

There have been a lot of questions regarding Sullivan’s future with the company after he started to receive a big push from WWE after moving up to the main roster from NXT only to have a string of controversial comments come to light.

In the aftermath of that discover, many wondered if Sullivan would be fired but ultimately WWE opted to fine him $100,000 and require sensitivity training to return to work.

“WWE supports a culture of inclusion regardless of gender, race, religion or sexual orientation, and we are committed to embracing all individuals as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide,” WWE said in a statement initially reported by Forbes.

“Dylan Miley (aka Lars Sullivan) will be fined $100,000 and required to complete sensitivity training for offensive commentary uncovered from his past. WWE will also facilitate meetings for Dylan with community organizations to foster further discussion around the power of social media and the impact of your words.”

The comments surfaced on a Reddit thread that unearthed posts made by Sullivan on a bodybuilding forum as he made defamatory comments about race, sexual assault, mental health, immigrants and homosexuals.

Once the revelation started to make rounds in the WWE circles, The New Day’s Big E responded to a comment regarding Sullivan’s behavior.

Now Sullivan will have to pay the $100,000 fine and undergo the sensitivity training but he will not be pulled from live shows or television as retribution for his actions.

WWE Sponsor Responds To Lars Sullivan Comments

It seems that wrestling fans aren’t the only ones to have seen Lars Sullivan’s controversial posts. Turns out WWE sponsors are now being made aware of the situation and are eager to engage in conversations with WWE to address the matter.

A Reddit user, Snitchboy, allegedly shared a response he received from Mars Wrigley Confectionary after he e-mailed them, alerting them to Sullivan’s comments.

They replied with the following:

“Dear Loyal Consumer,

Thank you for reaching out to Mars Wrigley Confectionery with your comments.

We learned of Lars Sullivan’s comments recently and share in your shock and disgust. As a values-based company, we find his behavior abhorrent and unacceptable. We have engaged the WWE to discuss this situation and seek to understand what actions they will take to swiftly address this matter.

We hope this information is helpful and wish you a great day!

Your Friends at Mars Wrigley Confectionery”

Official Statement

In the wake of his previous comments coming to light, Sullivan has released an official statement apologizing to anyone he offended. He stresses that his past comments “do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today.”

He has also reportedly discussed his comments and apologized to the New Day. Big E was the first Superstar to publicly acknowledge the Reddit thread that compiled all of Sullivan’s comments.

Sullivan is currently participating in WWE’s European Tour.

Lars Sullivan Has Reportedly Apologized To The New Day For His Comments

Lars Sullivan has been a hot topic of conversation in the past few days. This is due to a number of overtly incendiary bigoted and racist comments he has made in the past that have recently come to light.

Sullivan has issued a formal apology and an official statement in an attempt to quell the inevitable backlash.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, it turns out that WWE has been well aware of his bigoted comments for quite some time.

Alvarez also mentioned that Lars Sullivan has also apologized to The New Day:

“He talked to Big E [and] I believe all of the members of The New Day. As I noted yesterday, WWE has been aware of this forever. This was nothing new and he apologized to them for it in the past, and it was considered a dead issue, but it has come up twice in the last six months so this time he did in fact address it with that statement.”

Despite the controversy, Sullivan is currently on the WWE European tour.

There has allegedly been no discussion over culling his main event push due to these comments. Sullivan will most likely continue to be pushed into a main event spot and, eventually, compete for the companies top titles.

Lars Sullivan Plans To Become WWE Champion Within 18 Months

Lars Sullivan has revealed his lofty yet realistic goal in WWE now that he’s on the main roster.

He was a force while in WWE NXT, which is considered the third brand alongside Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live, and now that he’s on the main roster, it appears that won’t change.

The company is giving him a big push currently on television by attacking notable wrestlers. According to “The Freak,” it’s only a matter of time before he’s WWE Champion.

He made it known that he predicts “Within 18 months is my realistic goal” to become WWE Champion. This answer came after responding to a fan who asked when he’d become WWE Champion on his official Instagram account.

This led to another fan bringing up how Lars is now in Roman Reigns yard on SmackDown Live. He answered, “I’ll take a dump in his yard.”

The former NXT star made his debut on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, in Brooklyn, New York last week during a segment with Baron Corbin and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Back in January, it was reported that Sullivan was supposed to appear with several other WWE NXT stars, but he never appeared.

Lars Sullivan Debuts On WWE RAW

Lars Sullivan has finally made his debut on the main roster.

The former NXT star made his debut on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center on the USA Network during a segment with Baron Corbin and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.

Sullivan came out to the ring where he attacked the legendary pro wrestler. Angle got in Sullivan’s face, then Sullivan gave him a Freak Accident followed by a diving headbutt.

Sullivan’s main roster debut has been delayed since last year. It all started in November during the Survivor Series kickoff show where WWE aired vignettes for his debut that lasted over several weeks on both RAW and SmackDown Live to hype that he would be part of the main roster.

The announcers put over the fact that both brands were attempting to sign Sullivan.

Back in January, it was reported that Sullivan was supposed to appear with several other WWE NXT stars, but he never appeared with some claims that it was due to an anxiety attack, but that’s not confirmed.

What are your thoughts on Sullivan’s debut and WWE deciding to put him on RAW instead of SmackDown Live? Sound off in the comment section.

Update On John Cena’s Injury

WWE announced that John Cena is questionable for Sunday’s Royal Rumble match yesterday before Raw. Cena had declared for the Rumble, his second straight, but a reported ankle injury has put his inclusion in the match in doubt.

According to comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio this morning, however, there was never any plan for Cena to wrestle in the Rumble. WWE had always planned for him to pull out due to injury.

“My impression is that Lars Sullivan was supposed to injure (Cena),” Meltzer said. “That didn’t happen so they created an injury and he’s not going to be in the Royal Rumble. I don’t know that for sure but John Cena’s injury a work, though.”

Another factor leading some to believe Cena was never going to be in the Rumble is that he is scheduled to start filming a movie on Sunday. It’s possible Cena would not be needed on the 1st day of shooting, however.

Original Plans For Lars Sullivan and John Cena

The situation involving Lars Sullivan is unclear at the moment. Vignettes involving the Superstar had been airing since before the TLC PPV. Reports are Vince McMahon is very high on him as well. According to Dave Meltzer, Sullivan injuring Cena was a likely angle the company was going to run with.

Although not confirmed, Sullivan is said to be dealing with a personal and private issue that caused him to be unable to make his debut recently. WWE is said to be supporting him at this time. He has not wrestled since November 17th on the preshow for Takeover: WarGames II.

Rumor Killer On Lars Sullivan, The Miz And Shane McMahon On Royal Rumble

Rumor Killer On Lars Sullivan

Rumors of NXT Star Lars Sullivan being in hot water started circulating around after he was not mentioned on Raw or SmackDown this week, while the other announced NXT call-ups were featured in one way or the other.

Some fans had even started speculating if Lars has been released quietly but providing a small update on his situation, PWInsider has confirmed that Sullivan is still under contract.

As we noted before, Lars was expected to be backstage for this week’s episode of Raw and SmackDown but he wasn’t there for either of the shows. At this point, it’s not known why he missed the shows but we’ll keep you posted on his status.

The Miz And Shane McMahon On Royal Rumble

As we had reported before, The Miz held a birthday celebration for his tag team partner Shane McMahon on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live.

This celebration was interrupted by the Bar and the whole segment ended with the Miz deciding to take on Sheamus in a one on one bout which he went on to win. Shane McMahon then delivered a coast to coast to Sheamus.

This duo was interviewed backstage after the show went off air where they talked about the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV and more. You can check out their interview in the video below:

Update On Lars Sullivan’s Main Roster Debut

At this point, it’s no real secret that WWE wants to debut NXT Superstar Lars Sullivan in a major way. The company have been playing hype videos on both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live for months in anticipation of his debut.

If, however, you feel that it’s taking a while for Lars to debut, that can be attributed to WWE showing his videos earlier than initially planned.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, these vignettes were scheduled for December. Vince McMahon decided to broadcast them in November instead.

“The big video package for Lars was going to be at the December pay-per-view [TLC] and Vince just decided ‘we’ll do it a month early, let’s do it at Survivor Series.’

So the whole time, they were going to do the whole deal where Raw wants him and SmackDown wants him, and then eventually he would make his decision. That was always scheduled to be in January so when they announced it in November, there were no imminent plans to call him up immediately.”

“He Was Supposed To Be There”

EC3, Lacey Evans, and the team of Heavy Machinery all wrestled in dark matches this past week.

It now turns out this week was also meant to see Lars Sullivan potentially make his televised main roster debut.

Bryan Alvarez clarified, saying: “Lars Sullivan was supposed to appear on Raw on Monday and he wasn’t there. Then he was supposed to appear on SmackDown on Tuesday and he wasn’t there. I have no idea what that means. I have no idea what his future is. I just know he was supposed to be on both of those shows and he wasn’t there.”

“He was earmarked for a very big match at WrestleMania,” Alvarez said. “[…] maybe we’ll know more on Monday, maybe we’ll know more on Tuesday, maybe at the Rumble. […] He was supposed to be there at both shows and he was not there.”

What do you think? Could Lars be debuting at the Rumble in order to make an impact? Who do you think his Wrestlemania match could be with?

NXT Stars React To News Of Main Roster Call-Up

On yesterday’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the show was opened up by an announcement from The McMahon Family. Triple H, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Shane McMahon all shared the ring. The four said that changes would be coming to WWE and deemed the WWE Universe the new “Authority.”

Those changes previously mentioned will include new Superstars. That can only mean NXT call-ups. While NXT star Lars Sullivan has been teased to make his main roster debut for weeks now, several more names recently joined him. WWE is now advertising EC3, Heavy Machinery, Lacey Evens, and Nikki Cross to join the main roster soon.

These NXT stars took to Twitter during the show to react to the news. Here’s what they had to say:

“Giving the people what they want.

“My brother  and I have been living the  life together for 2 and half years. We formed the unit  and the goal for us was always  or . The Blue Collar Boys are hungry and we’re coming to eat!”

“I’m coming……and bringing the class yall.

Lars Sullivan Pokes Fun At Shane McMahon, Nia Jax Reacts To Being Left Off WWE RAW

Lars Sullivan Pokes Fun At Shane McMahon

Lars Sullivan decided to have some fun at the expense of Shane McMahon when he pointed out how much the son of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was sweating during the opening segment of this week’s RAW for the McMahon family segment with Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H.

Shane did his entrance during the segment and which includes him dancing all the way to the ring. WWE has already confirmed that Sullivan will be included in the batch of several WWE NXT stars who are making their way up to the main roster.

Sullivan wrote, “What a beautiful family moment to kick off #raw. You think Shane sweats a lot? Wait until you see this FREAK of nature. LARS SULLIVAN is coming very soon. I look forward to introducing you all to my brand of belligerence. :)”

Nia Jax Reacts To Being Left Off WWE RAW

Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax was absent from not only this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW but also the taping for next week’s show that was taped from Sacramento, CA.

As part of the McMahon Family’s effort to “shake things up” on Monday’s edition of WWE Raw, it was announced that several NXT stars will be getting called up to the main roster soon. Those stars include EC3, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, Lars Sullivan, and Heavy Machinery.

It turns out that Cross has actually worked on the main roster before. Last month during a SmackDown TV taping in Manchester, England at the Manchester Arena, Cross took on then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch alongside the other SAnity stablemates (Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain). The match was short as it only went five minutes with Lynch winning by submission.

There have been rumors for months that the company could be moving up some NXT stars to the main roster and now those rumors have come true. It should be noted that WWE has yet to announce when these talents will make their main roster debuts or which brand that they’ll be featured on.

It’ll be interesting to see if WWE makes another announcement with more NXT stars being called up on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live. If so, this could be an indication as to who will be featured on which brands.

Which of these Superstars do you think has the best chance of making an impact on the main roster?
