WWE Hall of Famer Lita has shared her thoughts on one of WWE’s newest signings, Rob Gronkowski. Joining ESPN’s late-night sow Now or Never, Lita explained how she loves seeing people cross over from being a pro athlete to pro wrestling. She noted how they don’t normally account for the charisma and work ethic that goes into being an in-ring competitor.
“I love seeing that small percentage of people that cross over because being a professional athlete you’re so focused and you’re not thinking about the charisma and the stuff that goes into being a wrestler.”
Lita Lists On Gronkowski Needs To Do To Succeed
Lita then pointed to how Gronkowski and his friend Mojo already showcase plenty of charisma and personality. She believes he has the raw tools to allow him a good starting point in WWE.
“But you see Gronk and Mojo together, who also has that larger than life personality,” Lita said. “You might not know all the moves, you might not know all the ins and outs but there’s no denying that charisma and that personality, he has the personality.”
Gronkowski will reportedly be making his SmackDown debut on March 20. He will apparently have some kind of role at WrestleMania 36, potentially setting up a future storyline past “The Grandest Stage of Them All”.
This past Sunday at WWE’s Elimination Chamber PPV, Sasha Banks and Bayley would make history. The two would survive the Chamber matchup to be crowned the modern era’s inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The duo saw off stiff competition from Nia Jax and Tamina, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, and Carmella and Naomi, and Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
Given that these new championships are intended to be defended across multiple WWE brands, it didn’t take long for challengers to step forward, proclaiming their interest in the titles.
Others have also expressed an interest, including NXT’s Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox.
Dakota would tweet out her thoughts, saying, “… women’s tag titles defended on all brands including @WWENXT , you say? @TeganNoxWWE_ #TheComeback #FlyKicks”
Bayley would respond shortly after with a succinct, ‘Please do, we’re ready”
The biggest interaction, however, took place off the back of a Hall Of Famer’s praise.
Trish Stratus would reach out to congratulate the team, “My loves!!! I may or may not have tear’d up a little #itsaproudmamathing
Beyond proud… the right ones for this amazing and historic opportunity… ladies, here’s the ball…. @SashaBanksWWE @itsBayleyWWE the FIRST EVER @WWE #WomensTagTeamChampions”
Both Trish Stratus and Lita wrestled in a 10 women tag match on Raw this week and while they are not scheduled to appear on the WWE Programming in the upcoming weeks, it appears that they are not done with the company in long term.
We noted before how WWE reportedly planned to use them in future and Officials see them as stars they can use for big events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
During the latest edition of Pwinsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson confirmed the previous reports and provided some more details on the situation.
According to him, WWE has plans to use them in some storyline in early 2019, though Johnson couldn’t elaborate what the company has in mind for both the Hall Of Famers.
He also revealed that there was talk of Stratus and Lita teaming up once again at WrestleMania 35 in a big tag match, though it’s not confirmed if this bout is still in the mix.
Both Trish Stratus and Lita returned to action during the Women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year and they competed in a tag match at the Evolution PPV on Sunday.
They were originally expected to face Mickie James and Alexa Bliss at the event but due to an injury Bliss suffered 2 weeks ago, she was replaced by Alicia Fox in the bout.
Backstage News On Trish Stratus And Lita’s Future After Evolution
Both Trish Stratus and Lita are expected to return to ring at the upcoming Evolution PPV but it appears that this won’t be their last match in near future.
According to Pwinsider, WWE expects these two to work more matches in the future. The company is planning to use them for big events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania in upcoming times.
They both are set to face Alexa Bliss and Mickie James at the Evolution PPV. As we noted before, Bliss is scheduled to appear at the event but whether or not she will wrestle at the show is not clear.
Lana Gets Hacked
Strange posts started to appear from Lana’s Instagram account yesterday. The last few posts from her account claimed that she is giving away a number of iPhones and Apple Watches.
The SmackDown Star took on her Twitter account to address this situation later in the day and revealed that her Instagram had actually been hacked:
My instagram has been hacked !!!! Every message you are getting, post or IG story you are seeing in the last 2 hours is a HACKER

One WWE Hall of Famer is likely to make an appearance on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. According to PWinsider, Lita was spotted near the site of the show.
The former WWE Women’s Champion is expected to further build the hype for her tag team match at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view event where she’ll team up with fellow Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to take on Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in a tag team match at the show.
Lita’s last match under the WWE banner inside of the squared circle came back in January at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event when she competed in the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match.
She was originally slated to face Mickie James in a singles match at Evolution while Stratus was expected to take on the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion at the show. However, WWE later changed the matches and turned it into a tag team contest.
WWE invades Providence, RI at the Dunkin Donuts Center. As of this writing, there have been no matches or segments announced for the show, which will be the go-home show for Evolution. This will be a big show for the company as they will be announcing more matches for this all-women’s pay-per-view event and adding more names to the battle royal that will see the winner receive a championship opportunity.

– Ahead of WWE Evolution, Alexa Bliss is Lilian Garcia’s next guest on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia. Alexa is teaming with Mickie James at the all-women’s pay-per-view and she will discuss her match against Trish Stratus and Lita. The interview will be available starting Monday.
WWE Hall Of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus will return to the ring later this month (Sun. October 28th, 2018). The pair will be involved in the first-ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV) in WWE history. They will team up against the duo of Alexa Bliss and Mickie James.
Initially, Trish and Lita were scheduled to have their own singles matches on the card. Trish was to have a one-on-one match with Bliss, while Lita was booked for a singles match with James. However, as the storyline progressed on WWE TV, it was revealed on RAW this week that the match would instead be a Tag Team bout.
It looks like this could be just the first of many Tag Teams between Trish and Lita. PWInsider reports that WWE is planning to have the two stick around after Evolution. The plan would be to have them appear on “major shows” as a team moving forward.
It wasn’t specifically mentioned which shows WWE is hoping for, however, obvious candidates such as Survivor Series and WrestleMania come to mind. This is also very interesting considering the rumors surrounding possible Women’s Tag Team Titles coming to WWE.
What do you think about Trish and Lita sticking around WWE as a team?
Two WWE Hall of Famers is currently backstage for tonight’s WWE RAW in Rosemont, IL at the Allstate Arena, which will air later on the USA Network. Pwinsider.com is reporting that WWE Hall of Famers Kurt Angle and Lita are those stars. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on if either star will be appearing on the show.
It should be noted that it’s possible Lita appears in order to promote her match against Mickie James at the Evolution pay-per-view event on Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network. Regarding Angle, he has been rumored to return to the ring at WWE Survivor Series in November for the feud with Acting RAW General Manager Baron Corbin.
WWE is looking to rebound after two straight weeks of lowest viewership numbers in the modern era of the show. Thus, they have already announced three big names that will be appearing.
Those stars include Triple H and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, who will talk about the Super Show-Down attack from Kane and The Undertaker, as well as Hall of Famer Trish Stratus to promote her match against Alexa Bliss at Evolution.
Former four-time WWE Women’s champion, Lita, commented recently about the possibility of wrestling in the WWE past her one-on-one encounter with Mickie James at WWE Evolution, stating that “you never know.”
If it were to pan out that Lita wanted to continue wrestling, it would be interesting to see where that trajectory takes her. The WWE Hall Of Famer has evidently been keeping up to date with the current product as she has an unabahsed admiration for one NXT superstar in particular.
Speaking with The Sun, Lita was effusive with her praise for Bianca Belair.
“Down at the performance center, all the guys at NXT are in the ring every day and in class,” Lita said. “They have everything they need to learn and there is so much talent in regards to physical ability and thinking about their character. But for someone to have that intangible star factor… Bianca Belair, along with some other the others there, is very talented.”
Lita would highlight Bianca Belair’s “great attitude,” and note how “physically gifted” she is before confessing “[…] when I very first saw her she [Belair] had that intangible star quality that I just want to see more.”
Commenting on Belair’s unique offense, where she utilizes her hair as a weapon, Lita observed, “It’s crazy, no-one has ever used their hair as a weapon. It’s so cool how she thought of that and how it works. She sure has that star quality and uniqueness.”
The Hardy Boyz were paired with Lita in early 2000, and this trio known as Team Extreme went on to become part of some of the best tag team storylines of Attitude Era before splitting up two years later.
One of the team’s members Lita was recently interviewed by Planeta Wrestling, where she talked about a number of wrestling related topics.
When asked which stars she would pick to be the modern version of Team Extreme, Lita said that she would love to see a similar pairing because it was so dynamic.
Continuing on the topic, the Hall Of Famer recalled the time when Cesaro and Tyson Kidd were paired with Natalya, implying that this trio had some similarities to their team.
At the end, Lita said that as far as athleticism and excitement goes, the Usos paired with Naomi could become the modern-day Team Extreme.
Lita made her in-ring return at the Women’s Royal Rumble earlier this year. She is now scheduled to compete in her first singles match in more than a decade at the upcoming Evolution PPV where she will face Mickie James.
Do you agree with Lita’s choice of stars for the modern day Team Extreme? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section.

Charlotte Flair has pegged an up-and-coming NXT talent as the future of WWE. Flair believes NXT’s Bianca Belair is the future of the company. She made the comments while speaking with Give Me Sport recently.
“Bianca Belair,” answered Charlotte when asked who she feels is the future of the business. “She is the future. She’s a real stud.”
Flair is not the only one confident in Belair’s abilities.
Bianca Belair – Blue-Chip Prospect In Development
Amy “Lita” Dumas has also chimed in on Belair’s talent after working with her in the WWE PC recently as well.
“Bianca Belair, along with some other the others there, is very talented,” Lita said to SunSports recently. “She’s physically gifted, a great attitude, and when I very first saw her she had that intangible star quality that I just want to see more.”
Belair was a Track and Field star at 3 different high-level Universities. She then competed in power-lifting and Crossfit before getting into wrestling. Belair was scouted on the Crossfit scene by Mark Henry and signed after shortly after. She was assigned to the WWE Performance Center in April of 2016. In that time, she has developed into someone the company is confident in putting on NXT television and someone who is turning the heads of others in her industry.
Belair was married earlier this summer to a member of the Street Profits, Montez Ford. The newlyweds will both make their video game debut in WWE 2K19 which will be released later this month.
Amy “Lita” Dumas made an unexpected appearance at a Maryland Championship Wrestling event last night. Lita wrestled a match for the promotion in 2017 as well. She then competed in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match earlier this year.
You can watch video of Lita’s appearance in the Tweet below:
Lita recently spoke on the prospect of wrestling more matches beyond WWE’s all-female October pay-per-view.
“You go in with it being the idea of a one-time thing, but it’s very, very likely and potentially – the excitement of it or the crowd’s response of it could turn it into something more than a one-off. Like my life in general, I just take it all as it comes. So, we’ll see.”

Former four-time WWE Women’s champion and WWE Hall Of Famer, Lita, appeared recently on Planeta Wrestling in the build-up to her return match at WWE Evolution. She is scheduled to take on Mickie Jame in a one-on-one encounter.
When asked whether there were any plans for future matches in the WWE, or if her appearance at Evolution marks the end of her in-ring days, Lita replied:
“If you follow WWE at all, I think the one thing that is consistent is: you never know.”
She highlighted that “As a fan and as a performer, I kind of look at it [returning to wrestling] as a mom,” before stating that she’s “happy with my second chapter, my chapter outside of wrestling,”
Despite this, Lita couldn’t help but admit that “[…] at the same time, every time I do go back, it feels like home and does feel like you jump right back in.”
“You go in with it being the idea of a one-time thing, but it’s very, very likely and potentially – the excitement of it or the crowd’s response of it could turn it into something more than a one-off. Like my life in general, I just take it all as it comes. So, we’ll see.”
WWE Hall of Famer Lita will return to the ring next month at WWE Evolution. WWE announced on Monday night that former WWE Women’s Champion Lita will take on Mickie James at the historic event. Like Trish Stratus, Lita was a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match back in January.
Lita vs. Mickie James is now the third match confirmed for Evolution. WWE has stated that every women’s championship will be defended at the show. As a result, we should soon learn who will be challenging for the RAW, SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK Women’s Championships.

As of this writing, two matches have been confirmed for WWE’s first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view:
Trish Stratus vs. Alexa Bliss
Lita vs. Mickie James
Mae Young Classic Finals
WWE previously stated that every women’s championship will be defended, so we should also get match announcements for the following titles:
RAW Women’s Championship (held by Ronda Rousey)
SmackDown Women’s Championship (held by Charlotte)
In a recent edition of WWE Network’s “Table For 3” WWE Hall Of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus spoke to current RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. During their conversation, the three discussed the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble that took place earlier this year in January.
Lita and Trish participated in the match while Bliss watched from the sidelines with Charlotte Flair as they were the Women’s Champions of their respective brands. Lita said that at one point in the match she was hit by NXT star Kairi Sane with a hard shot that she described as “the most devastating blow”:
“I had a private moment with Charles Robinson, after I had ninety pounds of ‘Japanese Pirate,’ who just came at me and gave me the most devastating blow I’ve had,” Lita said.
“Charles was like, ‘Hey, you alright?’ I just looked at him and was like, ‘What the hell man?’ I go, ‘I guess.'”
There was a lot of talk about how WWE officials handled one situation regarding the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.
It all started when WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and guest Jim Cornette talked about the WWE Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia during a recent episode of Dinner With The King. The two legends also talked about the fact that women cannot wrestle at the show. Cornette suggested that WWE give the women a hefty payday while they stay at home. Lawler replied with, “I think that’s exactly what’s happening.” It was then reported that female superstars in WWE were being paid as if they had performed at the show. The reason that they didn’t work or event appear at the show was due to the cultural differences in the country compared to the majority of the world.
Lita spoke with WrestleZone Radio for a new interview promoting her new The UFO Sho on ASY TV. During the interview, she discussed women not appearing at Greatest Royal Rumble.
“I understand that they are a business, a global business and they are always looking to expand their global presence. However, I do feel this was a direct conflict of interest with them maintaining any integrity or truth to the fact that they say they would like to push forward women, their roles and their reputations in this business as anything resembling equal to a male. Make the money, that’s fine, but don’t try to cover it up. Don’t say, “No, we are doing this because in the future we would like to help progress their culture forward!” No, you want the money, you’re a business and businesses make money. That’s okay. From my perspective over here, I don’t own your business so that’s your call. From a PR perspective don’t say you are doing it because, “We want to help progress that culture forward.” No, it’s a direct conflict of interest, in my opinion.”

Tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live takes place from Baltimore, MD at the Royal Farms Arena. The show will feature three Money in the Bank qualifying matches:
Daniel Bryan vs. Rusev
United States Champion Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz
Peyton Royce vs. Charlotte Flair
Also, SmackDown General Manager Paige has revealed on Twitter that she would be kicking off the show. She sent out the following tweet:
– Casey of Squared Circle Sirens has provided some details on an episode of Table for 3 that features former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita.
In this episode, they will be talking about Alexa’s pet pig Larry Steve, Lita’s start in Mexico, reflecting on the business, and Trish finding yoga. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when this episode will air.
– On last night’s episode of SmackDown Live Randy Orton hit the ring and delivered an RKO outta nowhere to United States Champion Bobby Roode. He then proceeded to hit Aiden English and Rusev with one as well. There has been some speculation that this was done to set up a United States Title match between Roode and Orton at Fastlane.
Discussion: How do you feel about a possible Roode vs. Orton match at Fastlane? Would you like to see Orton win the Title from “The Glorious One?”
– Lita recently released a lengthy statement explaining why she wore ‘Times Up’ gear during her appearance in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Here’s what the former WWE Women’s Champion had to say:
“On January 28, I was fortunate enough to have been included in the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Historically, it was tough to have the women even represented at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, much less have equal representation and be the main event. With only a few days notice between when I was asked to participate and the match itself, I had to wonder: As much as I wanted to be a part of history, could I pull this off?? After all, I hadn’t been in the ring in a decade, and while my full-time tenure at WWE sowed the seeds for the current Women’s Evolution (led by a roster of kick-ass women), I knew this historic event was going to be much bigger than myself and my own contributions to the industry. A big factor in deciding to go for it was the position I was now in to represent women everywhere.
“First, to all the women in professional wrestling. Women who passed away before they were able to their contributions as a rung on this ladder [sic]. I wanted to step in the ring for these performers who came before me and sacrificed so much of their lives for their millions of fans. But this evolution is bigger than even them. I wanted to be an entrant in this match for all women who have felt underrepresented, in all aspects of their lives. That is why, when I stepped through the curtain, I wore my #TimesUp gear. Watching these women step forward, hearing their #MeToo stories, as difficult as they are to share, has brought strength and unity to women who previously felt alone, ashamed or scared.
“This is so much bigger than one match. Everyone has their own journey and their own way to heal. I am still figuring out mine, but am so proud of all of you who have been able to come forward and join together for the sake of the evolution, and the re-education that this is not right. Women should not be discriminated against, and I support you in whatever makes you feel like you are doing the right thing for you. Taking legal action is only one of those ways, but it also happens to be one of the ways where our support can do the most good. Which is why 100% of the proceeds of this auction is being donated to the #TimesUp Legal Defense Fund to honor the strength of ALL women. I support you, and applaud your courage and your healing, in whatever way is best for you.
– Below is new video of WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz talking to Charly Caruso after his big win over Roman Reigns at RAW 25. Miz talks about how fans witnessed a match they will talk about for the next 25 years, and how he’s made the title relevant again. The segment ends with Miz leaving to go to the Manhattan Center for the dark segment with RAW Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins and DX.
– As noted, Jeff Hardy appeared backstage during the poker game that The APA held at RAW 25. Jeff reunited with brother Matt Hardy inside the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom after Matt’s loss to Bray Wyatt. The Hardys’ theme hit to a big pop and out came Jeff to console his brother after the loss. Matt cut a promo on losing a battle in The Great War, then had Jeff sing his “Obsolete” song to taunt Wyatt for a future meeting.
– It looks like WWE Hall of Famer Lita was not invited to the RAW 25 special as she tweeted the following in response to being included on the commemorative ringside chair that fans took home:
Ahead of her retirement match at House of Hardcore 36 last night (Sat. December 2, 2017), former WWE Women’s Champion Candice Michelle spoke to On Milwaukee on a variety of professional wrestling topics. Michelle talked about getting called out by Lita when she first started with the WWE, injuries ending her career with the company, and her training for her retirement match. Here are the highlights:
Getting called out by Lita in the WWE locker room:
“It was brutal. I remember I was in the locker room with Lita, who is very intimidating. I went to put my makeup on; I thought I took the worst spot in the locker room. I thought I was being respectful. I sat on the floor by a mirror. And she got up in my face, and she was like, ‘What? Do you think you can walk in here and take the best spot in the locker room?’ And I was like, ‘I’m sitting on the floor!’ I was considered the Hollywood girl. These wrestling girls, they paved the way of going to these indie shows and training camps and putting their bodies through this for so long. And I just come from Hollywood and show up. So I get their side of it. I had to earn the wrestling respect side of it.”
Injuries ending her WWE career:
“We were coming back from a two-week European tour, and it was our last match in Nebraska before we got a break. It was a big match with me and Beth Phoenix, and I went up to the top rope for a spot where she was gonna hit the rope and I was gonna eat it. But my boot caught, and I nose dived. So I was knocked out, on live TV. The next thing I remember is waking up in the ambulance, and they said, ‘Your husband’s being flown in.’ When you’re in a neck brace, and you’re in an ambulance, and they’re flying your husband in, it’s pretty scary. Thankfully, I just had a broken collar bone and a concussion. But the hardest part is it shelved me. I worked so hard to get that spot, and that recognition from my coworkers, and from the fans. And now I’m shelved for six months.
“I think most wrestlers have a very relentless mentality. Somehow, I had to convince [Producer] Johnny Laurinaitis and the doctors there that my collarbone was not broken anymore, even though the X-rays show it was still. Somehow, I weaseled my way into a match, and the first drop kick, I shattered it. But, I finished the match. I was shelved another six months. Then I was coming back, and WrestleMania was coming up, just being in overdrive. I did a Superman punch, landed on my ankle and tore two ligaments. That was the final injury where I got the call to say, ‘All right, kid. You’re done.'”
Her training for her retirement match:
“I did training at Knox Pro Wrestling Academy, back in L.A. That first bump, woo! That s— hurts. You forget. And my body forgot. I trained for a month and a half there a couple times a week. I cried every time I was there. Whether it was because I was in pain or because I missed it, or because of facing those spirits.”

WWE Hall Of Famer Amy “Lita” Dumas recently took part in a Q&A session while in Paris, France and confirmed that there have been talks of WWE adding women’s tag team championships.
Here are some highlights of what she said, courtesy of GiveMeSport.com:
Rumors of WWE creating Women’s Tag Team Championships:
“There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division, and I think that I love that they first introduced the Money in the Bank briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture.
I would love to see these rumored tag titles appear sooner than later, but for that to happen, I hope they bring up these women that are already at NXT or some women they’ve seen on the Mae Young Classic and expand the roster.”
The pressure that she felt while commentating the Mae Young Classic tournament:
“So, when I was asked to call the action alongside JR for the Mae Young Classic, it was a big honor, and I love being able to come full circle. JR is the one who hired me initially to start my journey with the WWE so to work on that capacity on the other side behind the desk with him, I was really excited not only with that but the unprecedented history-making of a 32 women tournament is also very exciting to be a part of.
So while I was very honored, I will say that I felt a lot of pressure, and I was very nervous because I’ve watched million wrestling matches and I’ve listened to commentating but when I’m watching, I’m not talking I just go like ‘Wow, that’s cool’ and so to translate to all-of-a-sudden jump in to be a commentator … [Looks at Sylvain Guernalec] I hear you’re a commentator. Is it hard right? Because you wanna do justice to the hard work that’s happening in the ring. I had just met these 32 incredible women and tried to do justice to them and to their matches. So yes, I was honored, but at the same time I was pressured, they’re saying a lot of things to you in your ear, you’re trying to hit time queues, it’s a whole thing. Very challenging but I enjoyed it.”
Working with The Hardy Boyz again:
“I don’t think that its Team Xtreme without Lita, so all I want to say is keep your eyes open if you see a third member, whoever The Hardys are facing, messing around with them and their needs to be an equalizer potentially for a ‘One Night Only’ attraction, I think that would be fun.”
During a recent Q&A session in Paris, WWE Hall Of Famer Lita talked about a number of WWE Related topics and revealed some interesting backstage details about the plans for the Women’s Division.
She revealed that there have been talks within the company about introducing a tag team title for women and said that she loves the introduction of Women’s Money In The Bank:
“There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division and I think that I love that they first introduced the MITB briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture.”
Talking about the possibility of a Royal Rumble for female participants, the former Women’s Champion said that she would love it if there was a Women’s Rumble:
“I would absolutely love if there was a Women’s Rumble. If anybody has seen the Mae Young Classic, has watched Ring of Honor, has watched these promotions around the world, there are no shortage of entrants of who could be in that Royal Rumble.”
While it’s yet to be seen if any of these plans for the Women’s Division actually turn out to be a reality in the upcoming times, both these ideas are definitely worth exploring as the next step into the Women’s Revolution
– NXT’s Liv Morgan worked tonight’s SmackDown live event in Tampa, Florida as she teamed up with SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi and Becky Lynch in a 4-on-3-Handicap Match against Natalya, Carmella, Lana, and Tamina.

– In this interview with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, WWE Hall of Famer Lita talks about growing up in South Florida, getting started in WWE, women’s wrestling, working alongside Jim Ross in the Mae Young Classic, the WWE Performance Center, and more.
– WWE Hall of Famer Lita is rumored to be joining Jim Ross on commentary for the upcoming Mae Young Classic women’s tournament, which airs on the WWE Network this summer.
– Emma is currently out of action recovering from a shoulder injury that took place during WWE’s recent European tour. The injury is not as serious as initially thought, so she could be ready to return around mid-June.
– Former Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole remains a free agent. There’s interest from both WWE and Impact Wrestling, but he will most likely wind up in NXT.
– WWE is stacking the card for the July 7th RAW-branded live event from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Two big SmackDown “special attration” matches have been added to the show: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles. The event is being promoted as Nakamura and Finn Balor’s first appearances at MSG.

WWE Hall of Famer Lita (Amy Dumas) was the latest guest on Lilian Garcia’s Making Their Way To The Ring show on AfterBuzz TV. In an intimate discussion about her legendary career, Amy discusses how her injury in 2005 impacted the relationship she had with Matt Hardy, her thoughts towards the public split being turned into a storyline and what she did to move forward afterward.
Here are some highlights of what Lita said about:
Realizing her relationship with Matt Hardy was coming to an end in 2005: “We were slightly disconnected while I was at home recuperating because he was still 100% into his career and I was 100% out of it at the moment, because I had to be. And I remember thinking ‘Yeah we’re not gonna be together after our careers are over because that, that is our bond. The way we view life, our interests, they don’t really align you know?”
When she and Edge began bonding: “I know both of us were kind of like, ‘Oh sh*t’ you know once we started to-to realize we were more than just two bros just hanging out. And so the hard thing that has always been with this time period is, you know, we realized we were going down a path that we shouldn’t and what I mean by that is mentally, mentally.”
“We’d kissed finally and freaked out.”
She adds, “Adam was on the road and I said ‘Hey, you know what? Let’s take this as an opportunity. We need to be in our own worlds and evaluate and don’t do anything because you know, like don’t do anything for me, I’m not gonna do anything for you. I need to figure out what is right for my world. You need to figure out what’s right for your world. If we meet up on the other side, cool. If not, I support and respect whatever your decisions are. He’s like ‘Okay that seems like the mature adult thing to do’.”
The love triangle being turned into a storyline: “It became such a hot story and they said ‘They want to turn this into a story, but you guys have been professional, he hasn’t, there is money involved in this storyline, but it’s your call’.
“You know we felt terrible he lost his job over it so we’re like ’Yeah, we made our bed we’ll lie in it.’
What she learned from the whole ordeal: “I think just acceptance of me with all my flaws and acceptance of everyone else and all their flaws as well.”
