Reason For Henry’s Absence, Khali Appearing On Reality Show

— Michael Cole noted on commentary during last night’s Raw that Mark Henry could not be on hand for the event because he was tending to personal matters. According to www.kbtx.com, the Raw Superstar’s older brother, Patrick “Shorty” Henry, is fighting for his life after suffering a stroke on Oct. 3. He has been in a medically induced coma in the intensive care unit at the College Station Medical Center in College Station, Texas since. Henry also had two brain surgeries to stop bleeding.

Friends and family are taking turns talking to “Shorty,” waiting for him to wake up.

“Keep your prayers coming. God works miracles,” says Jennifer McGrath, Patrick’s wife. “We have faith and we need him back. His babies need him.”

— The Great Khali will begin appearing on the ongoing fourth season of the Indian reality television program Bigg Boss this Friday as a wild card entry, reports www.techtipspro.com. It is the Indian version of the Big Brother format.

The WWE Superstar is replacing a contestant named Bunty, who was expelled from the program for bad behavior and breaching of house rules. The website notes that with Khali’s entry into the reality television show, lives will be difficult for those who manage the kitchen as they’ll have to spend hours cooking meals for him.

Michael Jordan To Host Future Raw?, Reaction To Henry’s Arrest

Examiner.com is reporting that WWE officials have asked basketball great Michael Jordan to host a future episode of Raw. Company sources say Jordan has yet to respond to WWE’s query.

It’s worth noting that the Jun. 14 edition of Raw will be taking place at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Jordan-owned Charlotte Bobcats play.

Following a Washington Wizards’ practice session in February 2003, Jordan was interviewed and told that Monday Night Raw would be taking place later that night at his home arena (the MCI Center, now known as the Verizon Center). Jordan responded, “Oh, wrestling’s in town?” One reporter said, “Yeah, Ric Flair just walked by.” Jordan then let out a “Whoooo!” He then noted that he grew up watching Flair. While “His Airness” is regarded as North Carolina’s most famous alum, he acknowledged that day North Carolina is “Flair Country.”

— As reported earlier, Mark Henry was arrested late one night at a bar in Belfast, Ireland while the Raw crew was stranded during their recent trip overseas. His arrest garnered attention as a local newspaper quoted a fan who claimed that the WWE Superstar threw a beverage at him and his fiancee, and challenged him to a fight. Reaction to Henry’s arrest within the company is said to be minimal as he is considered a mild-mannered individual and it is believed that the fan did something to provoke him. WWE Stars Appearing In New “MacGruber” Movie (VIDEO)

WWE superstars Chris Jericho, Big Show, MVP, Kane, Mark Henry and Great Khali will be appearing in the upcoming comedy movie “MacGruber”, in theaters April 23rd.

IMDB.com Synopsis:
Only one American hero has earned the rank of Green Beret, Navy SEAL and Army Ranger. Just one operative has been awarded 16 purple hearts, 3 Congressional Medals of Honor and 7 presidential medals of bravery. And only one guy is man enough to still sport a mullet .. Will Forte brings Saturday Night Live’s clueless soldier of fortune to the big screen in the action comedy MacGruber.

For those not cool enough to be around back in the 1980s, the MacGruber SNL character is a parody of the “MacGyver” television show, which was about a secret agent who refused to use a gun and could take down a group of terrorists with a frisbee, a banana, some duct tape and a bottle of hair spray.
