Matt Hardy Vows To Totally Reinvent Himself

WWE star Matt Hardy posted his latest video blog after last night’s SmackDown TV taping from San Jose, California and vowed to reinvent himself this year and become the wrestling superstar that he’s destined to be. Hardy says:

“I promise you – I promise you, I promise you! – in 2010, I’m going to get into the shape of my life. 2010 is going to be the year of Matt Hardy. I have so much more to contribute to the professional wrestling business. I would say sports entertainment, but to hell with that, it’s pro wrestling. That’s what I do. I’m a pro wrestler. I’m going to make a change. I’m going to blow everyone’s minds.”

Hardy called out his “haters” and said he’s going to train harder than he’s ever trained before. “It’s time for me to totally reinvent myself; reinvent my moveset; reinvent my gameplan,” he said. “Special things are getting ready to happen.”

Jeff & Matt Hardy Talk About WWE NXT (VIDEO)

Matt and Jeff Hardy posted a video online talking about WWE’s new NXT show, which debuts Tuesday night on Syfy.

Matt says he thinks NXT is a cool concept with potential. He said the ECW that was on Syfy was not the real ECW, and the guys on the roster will wind up on RAW and SmackDown.

Matt said he will be coaching Justin Angel/Gabriel on NXT and he’s heard he’s like the “FCW Version of AJ Styles.” He also commented on the controversy surrounding The Miz coaching Daniel Bryan and said that will make for some interesting television.

Up next, Jeff Hard teased what his next career move will be. He said you might need some training and show up in NXT. He might return to WWE, or he could join Hulkamania in TNA. He then said maybe he’ll show up in Ring of Honor, but then he and Matt looked at each other and agreed that wasn’t a great idea.

“I’ve been working on my future autobiography here & there-it’ll be an amazing look into my career & the business.. It’ll totally be REAL.. And for the record, the book would be something that would happen WAAAY down the road.. So don’t get overly excited, HaHa!”

Matt Hardy Involved In Jericho-Helms Arrest Incident

TMZ.com is reporting that WWE star Matt Hardy was also involved in the Wednesday morning incident that led to the arrests of Chris Jericho and Greg Helms, according to law enforcement sources.

Witnesses told police that Hardy was in a taxi with Jericho, Helms and several others, when Helms allegedly struck three people (including a female).

Matt Hardy allegedly took off on foot with Helms. After they bailed, the cab driver called 911.

Helms returned to the scene and was arrested along with Jericho. Police are not pursuing any sort of action against Hardy.

Matt Hardy Says Jeff Is The Victim Of A Corrupt Scam

This morning, Matt Hardy posted several items on his Twitter account regarding his brother Jeff’s future. Matt wrote:

“A year or so from now, Jeff will be a bigger star and celebrity than he’s ever been-we locked him into a major project this week.”

“Nothing is gonna happen to Jeff, he’s a victim of a corrupt scam-the truth is coming out, and will come out in it’s entirety in the future.”

Interestingly enough, the comments have already been removed.

While this news does seem pretty juicy, let’s wait and see if anything materializes. Knowing Matt, he’ll follow up with an “AHA!” post how we’re all idiots for thinking he was talking about Jeff HARDY, when he was actually talking about his neighbor Jeff Jones, who was wrongfully accused of painting his house the wrong color.

Jeff Hardy was arrested back on September 11th after a search of his Cameron, N.C. residence yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine and items of drug paraphernalia. He was charged with felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Matt Hardy Playing More Games With Wrestling News Sites

Earlier this week, Matt Hardy posted a message on his Twitter page that said he’s tired of “being punished because of someone else’s sins.” Since Matt was only been on WWE television once since his brother’s Jeff’s arrest on September 11th, some speculated that Matt’s Twitter remarks were implying that he was being punished by WWE for Jeff’s behavior.

After a few sites out there took the bait, Matt posted a message on his MySpace blog

Last night, since almost every WWE personality was in Boston for The Decade Of Smackdown show, we all went out to eat after the show last night. A huge tab ended up being comped, which was very cool. Everyone was gonna leave generous tips because the meal was free obviously, and we wanted to take care of our servers. I was one of the last ones to leave, and was figuring up the tip. The tip wasn’t as good as I would have liked it to have been from a couple of the guys. So I left an extremely large tip at the end before leaving. I joked and said it was a sin that I had to pay for other people’s mistakes and cheapness. I bet a couple of my closest WWE friends that if I posted a tweet rephrasing the situation as “I am exhausted from being punished because of someone else’s sins”, that the wrestling media would pick up that comment and run with it as something completely different. Low and behold, almost every site did.

While there may be a few copy and paste “newz” sites out there that reported Matt was in fact talking about Jeff, most reputable sites did what we did – posted Hardy’s comments and allowed readers to connect the dots themselves.

Jeff Hardy’s MySpace & Twitter Pages Taken Down

— In the wake of Jeff Hardy’s 9/11 arrest for drug trafficking, the former WWE superstar’s MySpace and Twitter pages have been taken down.  Jeff posted a message on his Twitter the day of the arrest assuring fans that he would tell his side of the story and make a statement “later,” but now that his primary outlet for speaking to his fans is gone, we’ll see if that ever happens.

— It’s also worth noting that the Twitter account of Beth Britt, Jeff Hardy’s fiance, is still active, all the content has been removed. It appears they have shut the accounts down due to the attention stemming from Hardy’s arrest.

— There were rumors over the weekend that Matt Hardy had been sent home by WWE management. After speaking with a source within WWE, we can confirm those rumors are false. Matt was backstage at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings from Hamnilton, Ontario but was not used on television.
