Maxxine Dupri Names The Most Uplifting Person In WWE Locker Room

Maxxine Dupri has explained why the whole WWE locker room is genuinely happy for Chelsea Green over her Women’s US Title win.

The duo of Dupri and Cathy Kelley recently appeared on Lightweights Podcast. They discussed things such as WWE Raw moving to Netflix, the upcoming Royal Rumble event, Tiffany Stratton’s Money In The Bank cash in, and more.

During the interview, the duo was asked about the most uplifting member of the locker room and Maxxine named Chelsea Green without any hesitation:

“I think for me, definitely Chelsea. Chelsea is someone that, and I’ve seen it time and time again with people that she’s close with, people that she’s not close with. If someone needs something or is struggling, that girl will call the President of the United States, and be like, ‘I have the girl for you.’ She will uplift you.”

She’s So Secure: Maxxinne Dupri

Maxxine Dupri went on to tell a story about how Chelsea lent her wrestling boots for last year’s Royal Rumble. She explained that Green’s personality is the reason why everyone is happy for her on becoming the Inaugural Women’s US Champion:

“Literally, we were texting today. This is my favorite. We were texting today about the rumble, and she’s like, oh, I have the perfect boots for you that you could wear,’ Like her wrestling boots.

And she did that for me last Rumble. Last rumble she let me wear her boots because they matched my gear. She just has no sense of jealousy. She’s so secure in who she is, rightfully so, she’s 10 out of 10 human in all categories.

But it makes it so fun to be such close friends with her, because she constantly lifts everyone up around her. I think that’s the reason that you see the entire roster is so happy for her. It’s not just like, one person. We are all like, ‘She’s so, so deserving of this moment.'”

Maxxine Dupri Confirms Engagement To NXT’s Anthony Luke

WWE star Maxxine Dupri has confirmed her engagement to NXT’s Anthony Luke.

The Alpha Academy member announced the news with a new post on Instagram. Luke went all out with his proposal. As seen in the photos below, the NXT star brought Maxxine to a beach and even had a flower art made for the occasion:

Luke has a background in College football and the couple have been dating since before the company signed Anthony to a development contract last year.

The 28-year-old made his in-ring debut for the Gold & Silver brand in April this year. He’s been working live event matches since then. Luke was recently included in the WWE LFG taping where he went up against the debuting Elijah Holyfield.

Dupri on the other hand joined the company following a successful tryout in August 2021. She worked as a valet in NXT and her career was sped up when she was called up to the main roster in July 2022 as the manager for Maximum Male Models.

She continued working on her in-ring skills while being active on the main roster. After joining Alpha Academy in mid-2023 Maxxine would go on to make her wrestling debut as part of a mixed tag match during the July 3, 2023 episode of the show.

Another Halloween has come and gone, and for the Superstars of WWE, they once again have had the chance to dress up for the season. The Superstars are hardly strangers to portraying colorful characters on TV every single week and that has been the case with this year’s Halloween costumes.

On X, WWE showcased some of the Superstars in this year’s costumes. Otis and Akira Tozawa made quite the pair of Dudley Boyz while Maxxine Dupri portrayed the ‘Duchess of Dudleyville’ Stacey Kiebler. R-Truth dressed as his childhood icon John Cena while Chelsea Green and Piper Niven did their take on WWE GMs Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce.

Mia Yim channeled her inner Lita while Zelina Vega represented her LWO ally Rey Mysterio from his WCW days post-unmasking. Byron Saxton gave a royal replication of King Booker and, Indi Hartwell learned how to be Chelsea Green from the self-prescribed Hot Mess herself.

Halloween is always a fun time in wrestling, with WWE leaning into the spooky season with the recent NXT Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE as the company prepares for major changes, including Raw’s move to Netflix, in the coming months.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match Added To Clash At The Castle

WWE Clash at the Castle is set for June 15 in Glasgow, Scotland. Sami Zayn will be there with an Intercontinental Title match.

On this week’s WWE RAW, Sami Zayn appeared, soon joined by the Alpha Academy. Maxxine Dupri read a note from Gable, who didn’t show up himself. Zayn then booked an IC Title match against Gable at Clash at the Castle.

Gable then attacked Zayn, leading to chaos. Akira Tozawa and Maxxine were knocked off the apron, and Otis acted like he would stand up to Gable. This gave Sami time to recover and get his revenge.

After the segment, Alpha Academy was shown backstage, with Chad Gable the only happy one. Maxxine Dupri and Tozawa sold their injuries, while Otis looked conflicted. Gable kissed Otis on the cheek, saying they will come together at Clash at the Castle to ensure he wins the IC Title.

With Gable’s WWE contract nearing its end and this storyline heading to the premium live event, it seems the Alpha Academy’s meltdown will happen in Scotland.

Christian Cage Says “They All Want to be Me” After Candice LeRae Brings Up Maxxine Dupri’s Dead Brother

Imitation is considered the sincerest form of flattery, and Christian Cage certainly felt flattered during a segment on this week’s WWE Monday Night Raw.

The segment in question saw LeRae scold Dupri during this week’s Raw. In her tirade, LeRae referenced an incident at a a WWE live event in which a fan mercilessly booed Dupri. With that said, LeRae’s most shocking comment was left to the end.

“You know why everyone boo’s you? You don’t belong here. You think the internet hates you? You should hear what the girls in the locker room say. It’s a good thing your dead brother isn’t here to see what an embarrassment you’ve become.”

Christian Cage Weighs In

LeRae’s comment about Maxxine’s brother has spawned a debate about whether WWE went too far in the name of entertainment. Plenty of people have taken to social media to share their take on the situation. In a tweet of his own, Christian Cage didn’t mention the segment by name, but said how everybody wants to be him. As the comments showed, it’s clear that the AEW TNT Champion who has a tendency to bring up dead relatives was talking about LeRae’s comment on Raw.

Wyatt Zmrzel passed away at the age of 22 after a life of numerous challenges. Wyatt was born with adrenoleukodystrophy; a rare genetic condition that affected his ability to use the right side of his body and left him prone to seizures.

Due to adrenoleukodystrophy, Wyatt relied on car services for transportation. In December 2017, a Lyft driver made a turn onto a highway at a rural intersection. The Lyft vehicle collided with a Toyota 4-Runner, killing Zmrzel.

Maxine Dupri Receives Support From Rhea Ripley and More

WWE and other superstars are standing up for Maxxine Dupri after her recent performance at a live event. A video circulated recently of the Alpha Academy member being booed and ridiculed after a match during a WWE house show tour. This led to the WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley being among the first superstars to speak out for her peers.

Pushing Back Against Negativity

On Twitter, Ripley called out the fans in attendance for their actions. She also noted that wrestling is still new to Dupri but that she is actively trying to learn and improve.

“I really wish that some of you got booed and ridiculed in the public eye while being new at your job. Learning and getting better is all apart of being human. Be better as humans,” wrote Ripley.

As the video started circulating on social media, other wrestlers and fans publicly supported Dupri. Zelina Vega shared her thoughts on the situation on Twitter and spoke highly of the new WWE superstar.

“This is absolutely horrible. She doesn’t deserve that. She’s such a kind soul and works really hard. I would love if the bad parts of the biz don’t harden her heart. They probably just mad cuz they can’t drink your bath water Maxxine,” wrote Vega.

All Elite Wrestling superstar Britt Baker also supported Dupri, leaving a 100 emoji under Ripley’s Twitter post.

Although fans may be critical of Dupri’s in-ring ability, it’s worth noting that she just started wrestling last year.

More On Maxxine Dupri’s WWE Career

WWE fans may recall that Dupri’s initial introduction to the company involved being a manager for Maximum Male Models (ma.ce & man.soor) in 2022. After the group fizzled, she started working as a manager for Alpha Academy last year and gained fan interest.

Her popularity alongside Alpha Academy made them collectively featured ‘babyfaces’ on WWE TV. After a few months as solely a manager, WWE began to involve her in a feud with her faction against The Viking Raiders (Erik, Ivar & Valhalla). She would finally make her in-ring debut teaming with Gable and Otis in a Mixed Tag Team win against The Viking Raiders at WWE Monday Night Raw on  July 3, 2023. Although she seemed limited in-ring for her debut, fans accepted Dupri and showed appreciation for her efforts.

Since then, she has only competed in 12 matches, according to Cagematch. While she may believe she could be better in-ring, she has less than a year of experience and room to improve. Hopefully, the support for other superstars like Ripley will give fans a different perspective and allow Dupri to grow as a performer.

Netflix & Chill? WWE Superstars Reveal Their Favorite Shows to Binge (Exclusive)

The Superstars of WWE are kept plenty busy in the ring, but they also find the time to unwind by binging their favorite Netflix shows.

Last month, it was announced that Raw will move to Netflix as part of a $5 billion deal with the streaming giant. Fans in the U.S. will have access to Monday Night Raw each week, while those outside of the States will receive Raw, SmackDown, WWE NXT, and Premium Live Events. Netflix will not cover monthly PLEs in areas where deals are already in place with other distributors, such as India.

The Superstars’ Favorite Shows

Alpha Academy’s Maxxine Dupri said that she had just finished The Crown, the historical drama series based on the lives of the British Royal Family. The show’s sixth and most recent season addresses 1997 to 2005 and covers the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, the early relationship of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. Dupri said the show was “so good” and that she was “obsessed.”

‘Big’ Bronson Reed has been enjoying an Australian show called Boy Swallows Universe. The story revolves around Eli Bell, a working-class youth who enters Brisbane’s underworld to save his mother from danger. It is based on the semi-autobiographical novel of the same name by Trent Dalton. When not watching that, the former NXT North American Champion enjoys the relaxed competition of the Great British Bake Off.

Ivy Nile enjoys documentaries but has also been watching You, which the Raw Superstar admits is not her typical kind of show. The four-season show follows Joe Goldberg, a bookstore manager who obsessively follows a woman he becomes infatuated with in the show’s first season.

Nia Jax loves stirring up some drama, so it makes sense that she enjoys Safe. The show focuses on Tom Delaney (played by Dexter’s Michael C. Hall) who uncovers a web of secrets as he frantically searches for his missing 16-year-old daughter. Jax also enjoys Peaky Blinders. the period crime drama about the Birmingham, UK-based gang of the same name and their escapades following World War 1.

New Character Debuts on SmackDown, Max Dupri Character Done

A WWE NXT star has made her main roster debut.

The July 22 episode of WWE SmackDown was held inside the TD Garden in Boston, MA. Dominating the headlines going into the show was the fact that Vince McMahon retired earlier in the afternoon.

While the show was rewritten due to Brock Lesnar leaving the arena amid the Vince news, some plans will be going ahead as scheduled.

That much is clear from the newest character serving as a mouthpiece for Maximum Male Models.

Maxxine Dupri has arrived.

Who is Maxxine Dupri?

There was a lot of speculation on which NXT star would don the Maxxine Dupri character. The real answer was revealed on Friday night.

In a backstage segment, NXT 2.0 star Sofia Cromwell was revealed as Maxxine Dupri. Her character is the sister of Max Dupri, who wasn’t seen during tonight’s episode.

The planned 2022 beachwear collection showcase for Maximum Male Models has been pushed back to the July 29 edition of SmackDown.

Max Dupri Character Scrapped

Max Dupri

Maxxine Dupri is now leading Maximum Male Models, so what about the group’s original figurehead, Max Dupri?

According Pro Wrestling Torch, one of Vince McMahon’s final duties as the head of WWE creative was to scrap the Max Dupri character, portrayed by the man formerly known as L.A. Knight.

The decision was made after Max Dupri was “rubbing people the wrong way” behind the scenes. Sofia Cromwell’s debut as Maxxine Dupri was WWE’s way of writing Max Dupri out of storylines.

New WWE Character to Debut on SmackDown Next Week

A brand new character will be seen on the July 22 episode of SmackDown.

In the world of wrestling, new gimmicks are seen all the time. This is especially true in WWE, where characters of all kinds are found.

One new faction has been formed on the blue brand and it has been quite polarizing, to say the least. While some find the group to be quirky, others believe it’s dead in the water.

Regardless, the Maximum Male Models will stick around for now.
