Another Halloween has come and gone, and for the Superstars of WWE, they once again have had the chance to dress up for the season. The Superstars are hardly strangers to portraying colorful characters on TV every single week and that has been the case with this year’s Halloween costumes.
On X, WWE showcased some of the Superstars in this year’s costumes. Otis and Akira Tozawa made quite the pair of Dudley Boyz while Maxxine Dupri portrayed the ‘Duchess of Dudleyville’ Stacey Kiebler. R-Truth dressed as his childhood icon John Cena while Chelsea Green and Piper Niven did their take on WWE GMs Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce.
Mia Yim channeled her inner Lita while Zelina Vega represented her LWO ally Rey Mysterio from his WCW days post-unmasking. Byron Saxton gave a royal replication of King Booker and, Indi Hartwell learned how to be Chelsea Green from the self-prescribed Hot Mess herself.
Halloween is always a fun time in wrestling, with WWE leaning into the spooky season with the recent NXT Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE as the company prepares for major changes, including Raw’s move to Netflix, in the coming months.
Several WWE superstars (and one former talent) are the next contestants on Celebrity Family Feud. The latest WWE installment of the show airs this Tuesday, August 20, on ABC at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT and will also stream on Hulu. The episode features men vs. women, with Bobby Lashley, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford), Austin Theory, and LA Knight taking on Mia Yim, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, and Sonya Deville.
The episode was taped back on April 13. At the time, Lashley was in a faction with The Street Profits as The Pride and was coming off a win over The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam & Rezar) at WrestleMania 40 on April 7. His last televised match was a loss alongside Santos Escobar to LA Knight in a triple-threat match on the April 12 episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
Another notable example of the episode being taped is that Theory is pictured with the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship. He and his partner Grayson Waller would lose the titles to DIY(Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) during Friday Night Smackdown on July 12.
The upcoming Celebrity Family Feud will give fans a different look at the WWE superstars outside the ring as they compete to answer the right questions. However, Lashley’s appearance in the episode will remind wrestling viewers that he is no longer with the company and put a spotlight on him as he enters free agency.
Bobby Lashley’s Next Moves
Lashley’s contract with WWE expired on August 16. He and his former Hurt Business ally, MVP, were moved to the company’s alumni section. In an Instagram post on the day of his WWE departure, Lashley shared a video of him working out with the caption,
“Every day is a new opportunity to push the limits and show the world what you are made of. I’ve got so much fight left in me, and I’m just getting started.”
Both are currently available to sign with any promotion with the expectation by fans that they will work together. It was also revealed that a company linked to MVP named Totally Harmless Concept, LLC, recently registered the trademark The Hurt Syndicate. Lashley is dealing with an arm injury but has openly shared that he wants to continue his wrestling career.
Time will tell who Lashley will compete for next. However, his appearance on Celebrity Family Feud gives him more exposure as he navigates free agency.
The Superstars of WWE have been having fun in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia ahead of the WWE King And Queen Of The Ring Premium Live Event.
The May 25 event will be WWE’s latest event in Saudi Arabia as part of the lucrative decade-long deal between the two parties. The show will also serve as the first Premium Live Event bearing the name of the tournament since WWE King of the Ring 2002. In addition to the King And Queen of the Ring event, the May 24, episode of WWE SmackDown will also take place in Jeddah, which will be a first for WWE.
WWE Superstars in Jeddah
With two stacked nights of WWE programming to come, the Superstars have already arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On Twitter, the official WWE account shared several videos of the Superstars making their arrival.
WWE SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green shared what her day has been like in Saudi Arabia so far. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion will face Bayley at WWE SmackDown.
Woke up this morning in beautiful Riyadh! Ate my high protein breaky, brushed my luxurious extensions & headed for a lift that @itsBayleyWWE could NEVER complete! Life is so good when you’re me ????? See you in 2 days Bad juju Bayley. xo pic.twitter.com/Lhrp1R9IdW
Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair, alongside Liv Morgan and ‘Michin’ Mia Yim were having fun in the sun at Oia Beach ahead of this weekend’s festivities.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque tweeted his excitement for the SmackDown and King And Queen of the Ring shows, alongside a photo of himself boarding the WWE jet.

Mia Yim just took a big towards becoming NXT’s first North American Women’s Champion and she snapped a 477-day losing streak in the process.
WWE announced 12 women will compete in qualifying matches on NXT TV, with the six winners advancing to a ladder match at NXT Battleground to crown the inaugural Women’s North American Champion. Battleground takes place Sunday, June 9 from Las Vegas at the UFC Apex facility.
The new NXT Women’s North American Championship belt
On this week’s 5/7 edition of NXT TV, Yim defeated Arianna Grace to advance to the championship ladder match at Battleground. This win has been a long time coming for Yim, who returned to television last week . Prior to defeating Grace, Yim’s most recent televised win hadn’t taken place since WWE Raw on January 16, 2023 when she faced Iyo Sky.
Yim was brought back to WWE in late 2022 after being let go the previous year. While fans had high expectations for her, especially after she joined The O.C., her 477-day streak shows that not everyone brought back to WWE has been used effectively.
Backstage after her win, the former O.C. member spoke about how much it would mean to hear to be the first woman to hold this new championship.
Since returning, Yim has had just one singles title opportunity, which ironically saw her be beaten by SKY in January 2024. With her first TV win in a long time, it remains to be seen whether Yim can capitalize on this and become the first NXT Women’s North American Champion.
Keep checking into SE Scoops for all the latest from WWE NXT as the gold brand continues forward on the road to NXT Battleground.
WWE NXT Battleground 2024 will be a historic night for the gold brand as the show will see the crowning of the first NXT Women’s North American Champion.
During the April 30, episode of WWE NXT, General Manager Ava announced that the title will be on the line at NXT Battleground on June 9 in a six-woman ladder match. Before that match though, there will be qualifying matches to determine the entrants in the much-anticipated ladder match.
This announcement brought out Jaida Parker, who declared that she wanted to be part of the qualifying matches. She was joined in the ring by Sol Ruca and Arianna Grace who had similar intentions. Up next it was ‘Michin’ Mia Yim, who despite being on the SMackDown roster, wants to be part of the Women’s North American Championship hunt.
The four women brawled before the rest of the NXT Women’s roster came out which led to a bigger brawl in the ring. The qualifying matches are set to begin soon but the entrants have yet to be revealed.
NXT Battleground won’t just be historic for its introduction of the Women’s North American Championship. The event will take place at the UFC Apex and in partnership with WWE’s sister company under TKO Group Holdings. It will be WWE’s first event hosted at the Apex and shows WWE’s commitment to cross-promotional endeavors as part of TKO.
Women’s Mid-Card Championships
WWE will soon have a women’s mid-card title, but this isn’t a new idea. Here are some recent articles about having such a title in wrestling:
Big E’s future in pro wrestling may remain uncertain but the New Day member will be traversing what’s next in his life with his new partner Kris Yim.
On Instagram, Big E shared the big news, stating “My neck is broken but my heart is whole.” The former WWE World Champion also shared a hilarious photoshoot with Kris, who he also tagged.
In the comments, several names from the world of professional wrestling were excited to see the relationship made official. Mia Yim was pleased to see things “publicly official” while the caption ‘broke’ Mia’s husband Keith Lee. Naomi called the pair “My fav couple” while Renee Paquette said that the pair of Big E and Kris are “perfect” for each other.
Who is Kris Yim?
While best known to WWE fans as the sister of Mia Yim, Kris is also an avid dog lover as seen on her social media profiles. In the bio for her Instagram, Kris has a link to Oakland Animal Services which encourages people to adopt otherwise unwanted dogs instead of shopping for a new puppy.
Kris is also quite the traveler and has made several trips to Europe as well as Jamaica and other destinations. She was the maid of honor to Mia Yim when the SmackDown Superstar married Keith Lee in a ceremony officiated by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley in February 2022.
This budding romance is great news for Kris and Big E, the latter of whom continues to be out of action after suffering a broken neck in March 2022. Big E recently admitted he’s not sure if he will ever be cleared to wrestle again, but has said that he is happy and living without pain which is very important.
The Superstars of WWE will be able to flex their game-show muscles as part of an upcoming episode of Celebrity Family Feud.
Taking to Twitter, Bianca Belair shared some photos from the taping and revealed that she is the captain of her team which consists of Belair, Jade Cargill, ‘Michin’ Mia Yim, Sonya Deville, and Zelina Vega.
The quintet of women will be up against Belair’s husband Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Bobby Lashley, SmackDown Tag Team Champion Austin Theory, and LA Knight.
In a tweet of his own, Austin Theory was his usual cocky self at the Celebrity Family Feud taping.
It’s also worth noticing that Sonya Deville was part of the taping and did not need any sort of leg brace. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion has been out of action since June 2023 with an ACL injury, and the fact that she was able to do this taping unimpeded suggests that a return to the ring may be in the near future.
WWE On Game Shows
WWE appearances on Family Feud date as far back as 1992. In 2022, Rey Mysterio led a team of his family against The Miz. Team Mysterio would feature Dominik mere months before he turned on his Hall of Fame father to join The Judgment Day.
WWE Superstars have also appeared on The Weakest Link, with Triple H, Kane, and Xavier Woods proving their mental superiority in separate episodes. Superstars have also appeared on Wheel of Fortune.
The fact that WWE Superstars are set to appear on the show is another sign of the promotion’s ongoing popularity in the mainstream. With WWE firing on all cylinders right now, expect more big moves by the Superstars both in and out of the ring.
WWE has a history of fantastic stables, and some of them last a long time, forging an undeniable impression with fans. The O.C. has definitely been through a lot in WWE, with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows’ release in between the stable’s runs with the company, but they may be nearing an end.
Possible Issues In The O.C.
The turmoil within The O.C. is still going, and cracks are starting to show. Uncle Allan might be growing impatient with Michin in the process.
A digital exclusive from WWE showed Michin seeking advice from Styles after her loss to Women’s Champion IYO SKY last week. She wanted to ask him if he had any advice for her after seeing the match.
Styles only asked, “Did you win?” and walked away after she shook her head to indicate that she was unable to pull down victory.
The issues within The OC arose when Styles took a two-month hiatus after an attack by Solo Sikoa. He was originally slated to team with John Cena at Fastlane, but then he was replaced by LA Knight.
Start Of Possible Issues For The O.C.
Styles returned on December 15th, and he was placed on top of the card. He first showed up to help Knight and Orton against The Bloodline, but then he made it clear that he’s all about his own success after attacking Knight.
At SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution, Styles ignored The O.C. when they greeted him, because he was upset about their lack of support when taken out by The Bloodline months earlier. The stable is not fully disbanded, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see a dismantling eventually.
These developments suggest a potential split within The OC, but WWE has teased similar scenarios in the past, only to provide wrestlers with a fresh start. It remains to be seen if The OC will strengthen or if plans are in motion to dissolve the group. Those words from AJ Styles might also just be tough love from AJ Styles as he motivates Michin to continue her way up the women division’s ranks.
AJ Styles is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble in a Fatal 4-Way match. That match will also include Randy Orton and LA Knight. Perhaps this situation with the O.C. will escalate further at Tropicana Field.
Cathy Kelley and Kevin Owens have both appeared on WWE programming countless times, and now the pair have their own show.
On YouTube, WWE shared the first episode of the new show, which is yet to receive a name. Naming the show was quite the talking point among the pair with Kelley rejecting Owens’ suggestion of ‘Rising Phoenix.’ Mia Yim, who was nearby also had a less than favorable response to the name. Owens admitted that the name was one of the worst ideas he’s had, and said he was ‘inspired’ by a wall at the arena.
The duo also discussed the Australian-ness of Grayson Waller and the merits of seedless grapes against their seeded equivalents. The pair also discussed the recent return of Randy Orton and while Owens did not hug the Viper, Kelley made sure to give him a warm embrace.
What’s Next?
When not presenting this yet-to-be-named show, Owens can be found competing on WWE SmackDown. The former Universal Champion is currently in the United States Championship Contenders Tournament. Owens defeated Austin Theory in the first round of the tournament, and will face Carmelo Hayes on tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Click here to find out the results of that match and this week’s show that was taped last week. The winner of the tournament will earn a title shot against Logan Paul. The Maverick won the title at WWE Crown Jewel against Rey Mysterio.
WWE has many ideas floating around, but not every concept comes to fruition within the company. One such discarded idea involved a faction inspired by Antifa, which WWE swiftly abandoned.
Mace joined WWE in 2016 and marked his main roster debut in 2020 as part of the Retribution faction. Unfortunately, the plans for this group, led by Mustafa Ali, were inadequately conceived.
During a conversation with Denise Salcedo on Instinct Culture, Mace shed light on the initial concept behind Retribution. He disclosed that WWE initially envisioned the group resembling Antifa but decided against it due to the potential controversy that would have ensued.
“[Where did the pitch come about? When did you think of it? How did you feel being part of Retribution?] There was no pitch. If you remember correctly, the initial appearance of Retribution was a bunch of extras because there were a bunch of like really small guys at the time. That’s why, that’s actually how I ended up being in it. There were a bunch of little small guys that were extras. They had no idea who they wanted them to be from what I understand. And I think they were trying to do an Antifa thing. I think that was the idea.“
“But at the same time, it’s a very big company. There’s not really much room for controversy anymore. So, at some point they were like, ‘Yeah, maybe we shouldn’t. But we already did this big angle and we need to kind of finish it in some capacity.”
What Is Antifa?
Antifa is short for “anti-fascist.” The group emerged with roots in various political ideologies, united by a shared opposition to fascist and far-right ideologies. Operating primarily in response to perceived threats of fascism and white supremacy, Antifa often employs direct action methods to counter such ideologies.
Members of Antifa groups emphasize decentralized, grassroots organization, with no formal leadership structure. The movement’s tactics include protest, direct action, and, at times, confrontations with those they perceive as promoting fascist ideologies.
WWE may have considered making Retribution fall in line with this idea, but they went in a different direction.
WWE’s Wild Booking Of Retribution Stable
WWE didn’t make Retribution a politically-charged angle on television, but that doesn’t mean they had a plan in mind.
WWE started that Retribution angle during the pandemic, with no live crowds or pay-out planned. This stable was a Vince McMahon vision from the beginning, and it did create interest during their early stages.
I was told at the time that Vince McMahon was mostly writing the angle on a week-to-week basis. This is why things changed so much about the faction, how many members there were, and who were even under the masks, until the big reveal.
Notable members included current AEW talent Mercedes Martinez, NXT standout Dijak, former NJPW star Shane Haste, and SmackDown’s Michin. Despite their introduction in August 2020, the faction disbanded seven months later with very little fanfare, and without giving Mustafa Ali much of a chance to really lead the stable.
WWE is set for SmackDown in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and that episode could include a big return. This is your official spoiler warning, because this article is full of them.
Spoiler for 12/15 WWE SmackDown
PW Insider reports that, “AJ Styles is expected to return tonight at Friday Night Smackdown,” This return has been a long time coming.
AJ Styles has been out of action as he sold a beatdown from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. At the time, Styles was set to be John Cena’s tag team partner at Fastlane against the Bloodline, but then LA Knight took Styles’ spot.
It was further noted that, “AJ Styles had initially been planned for a return several weeks back, but WWE decided to hold off on the return.” It is reported that this week is more of a sure thing, as Styles will return to the road for WWE.
Status Of The OC In WWE
AJ Styles’ OC stablemates, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, returned to the ring several weeks ago, but they have only worked live events. Their television hiatus may end with Styles’ return
Fans can probably expect AJ Styles’ return to WWE SmackDown during the December 15th episode. With the Royal Rumble coming up on January 27th, that event will mark 8 years since he shocked the word by finally landing in WWE after a career outside the company.
Exclusive Insight into AJ Styles’ WWE Return
I was told on several occasions over the past 30 days that AJ Styles is set to return “imminently.” This is something that they have held back on for some reason, but it appears the Phenomenal One will be joining the company to close out 2023.
Tonight’s WWE SmackDown will also be a double taping. So, AJ Styles can get two weeks’ worth of tapings out of the way on one night to really jumpstart his comeback.
Mia Yim posted a photograph with United States Champion Austin Theory earlier today. Austin was holding Mia up in the photo and it spawned a bizarre reaction from the Twitter mob that drove Yim off the social media platform.
For some reason, a bunch of fans equated a photograph taken during a WWE photo shoot as Mia not respecting her marriage with AEW star Keith Lee. The absurd reaction is the latest example of fans not knowing how to interact with public figures on social media.
The fact how people made Mia Yim deactivated her Twitter over the picture with Austin Theory is ridiculous. Do people seriously think that just because she's married she's not allowed to take photos with her friends that are men? pic.twitter.com/hfx05ZNt5Q
Mia Yim sent out a final post this morning before deleting her Twitter account.
“Ok, block button ready to go. Apparently I can’t take pics or get excited about seeing people I haven’t seen in a while. I love my husband and only have eyes for him. Apologies for any disrespect. Men and women can be friends without it being sexual.”
the last tweet before mia yim deactivated.. some of you are so weird and unnecessary, she never needed to apologize. i really hope she’s okay. 💙 pic.twitter.com/c5fCBO5zHj
Mia Yim returned to the company on the November 7th edition of RAW as The OC’s answer to their “Rhea Ripley problem”.
The 33-year-old was interviewed following her return on RAW Talk and said it was good to be back after a year away. She was released in November 2021 after a brief main roster run as “Reckoning” in the failed RETRIBUTION faction.
Oh my gosh, it feels so good to be back. It took me a year to try and find myself but now I’m ready. I’m ready to go. I’m ready to kick some ass and get my retribution. But the boys are waiting on me so I’ll see ya later.
Mia Yim has a new name just a few short weeks after making her return to WWE during an episode of Monday Night Raw where she was paired with The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) to even the numbers against The Judgment Day and to offset Rhea Ripley.
Since then, Yim has been referred to by the announcers and even referred to herself as ‘Michin.’
“Michin is living proof that hard work and dogged determination pay off. Long considered one of the most talented women in the independent ranks, Michin first turned heads in WWE during the inaugural Mae Young Classic in 2017. Her true breakout moment, however, came in the following year’s Classic, when Michin’s gutsy performance in the Quarterfinals earned chants of support from the WWE Universe. Their pleas did not go unanswered, as WWE COO Triple H immediately offered Michin an NXT contract after the match.”
Yim is slated to be part of the women’s WarGames match this Saturday at Survivor Series when she teams with Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, and a mystery partner to face Bayley, Nikki Cross, Rhea Ripley, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.

Mia Yim made her return to in-ring competition on this week’s WWE Raw, but some fans were far more interested in her husband.
Yim returned to WWE last week by attacking Rhea Ripley and has aligned herself with the O.C. in their war with The Judgment Day.
Formerly Reckoning of Retribution, Yim was released from WWE in November 2021 as part of mass releases due to ‘budget cuts.’
Yim on Raw
After returning to Monday Night Raw last week, Yim faced Tamina Snuka in her first match back this week.
During the match, some fans in attendance in Louisville, Kentucky chanted for Swerve in Our Glory, referencing Keith Lee’s AEW tag team with Swerve Strickland.
Lee, a former NXT and NXT North American Champion was also released in November 2021 over budget cuts.
Later in the show, Yim would be announced for Team Belair at Survivor Series WarGames.
The chants for Swerve in Our Glory can be heard at 1:28 and 1:54 in the video below.
Yim Outside of WWE
Mia Yim is back with WWE, but did plenty during her time away from the promotion.
In February 2022, Yim married Lee in a ceremony officiated by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.
Yim returned to Impact Wrestling in May 2022 at the Under Siege event, having previously worked for the company as ‘Jade.’
Yim would challenge for the Impact Knockouts World Championship on multiple occasions but would always come up short.
Yim’s final match saw her face Taylor Wilde in a losing effort, mere weeks before her WWE return.
Mia Yim made her shocking return to WWE tonight on RAW. She was released from the company on November 4th last year and spent some time in Impact wrestling before her return tonight.
Seth Rollins issued an Open Challenge for the United States Championship on this week’s edition of the red brand. The Judgment Day’s music hit and the group surrounded Seth Rollins outside the ring. Finn Balor was about to accept the match when The OC interrupted.
AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson showed made their way to the ring as Seth Rollins escaped backstage. A brawl broke out and Mia Yim showed up as The OC’s answer for Rhea Ripley. The OC beat Judgment Day down and the heels retreated to end the segment.
After WWE RAW went off the air, Cathy Kelley caught up with Mia Yim backstage for a WWE Digital Exclusive interview.
The 33-year-old member said that it took her a year to try and find herself but now she’s ready to get her “retribution”. Mia Yim had a brief stint as “Reckoning” in the now disbanded RETRIBUTION faction in WWE.
Oh my gosh, it feels so good to be back. It took me a year to try and find myself but now I’m ready. I’m ready to go. I’m ready to kick some ass and get my retribution. But the boys are waiting on me so I’ll see ya later.
Mia Yim is back in WWE as she returned to the company during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Yim made a comeback as a member of The OC and the equalizer that AJ Styles had mentioned. WWE United States Champion Seth Rollins entered the ring to begin his open challenge.
The Judgment Day cut him off, and shortly after that, The OC entered the ring. A brawl broke out between the two factions as Yim emerged from the crowd and attacked Rhea Ripley, with The OC standing tall in the ring to end the segment.
WWE released Yim in November 2021 after a run on WWE Raw as Reckoning, and in between, being swapped between brands without appearing anywhere. Yim didn’t wrestle any matches for 15 months while being sidelined by WWE and having her non-compete run out.
She spent five months with Impact Wrestling until parting ways with the promotion following their set of Bound For Glory tapings last month when she was free to wrestle once her non-compete clause expired.
WWE was reportedly interested in bringing back Yim after the expiration of her contract with Impact. WWE recently welcomed Emma (Tenille Dashwood) back to the company after years of being away.

WWE has an interest in bringing back yet another wrestler as Triple H continues to look to shape the women’s division in his own way.
Fightful Select reported today that WWE is interested in bringing Mia Yim back to the company. The report noted that while there’s no word yet on a potential start date, she’s expected to be brought back soon.
WWE taped tonight’s SmackDown a week ago so that it won’t be then and not likely in Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel, but Monday’s Raw or next week’s SmackDown is possible.
Mia Yim’s Journey
WWE released Yim in November 2021 after a run on WWE Raw as Reckoning, and in between, being swapped between brands without appearing anywhere. Yim didn’t wrestle any matches for 15 months while being sidelined by WWE and having her non-compete run out.
When she could wrestle again once her non-compete clause expired, she spent five months with Impact Wrestling before wrapping up with the company after their set of Bound For Glory tapings last month.
Fightful was told that WWE was aware that her agreement with Impact was coming up and had an interest in anticipation of it. WWE brought Emma (Tenille Dashwood) back to the company after years of being away last week.

Mia Yim is no longer officially a member of the IMPACT Wrestling roster.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Yim has wrapped up her contractual obligations with IMPACT. Her contract has now expired and she opted not to re-sign or extend the deal, thus making her a free agent.
Yim returned to IMPACT this past spring, where she signed a short-term deal that ran through Bound For Glory. After opting not to extend, the contract ran out this past weekend. IMPACT is said to have left the door open for her to return.
Her time with IMPACT was said to have gone well, as she had a good relationship with everyone backstage and in the locker room. Yim has been competing in professional wrestling since 2010 when she began with Combat Zone Wrestling.
Mia Yim
She has also competed for organizations such as SHINE Wrestling, Shimmer, Full Impact Pro, and WWE. After wrapping up her first run with IMPACT in 2017, Yim signed with WWE in 2018, joining NXT.
Yim had a brief run on the main roster in 2020 but was released from her contract the following year. Now a free agent, it will be interesting to see where she opts to sign given the wealth of options at her disposal.

Impact Wrestling officials will be looking to re-sign several of its talent as their contracts are slated to expire.
It was previously reported that Mia Yim’s deal was slated to expire this year. Chris Sabin is under contract with Impact Wrestling through this year.
The Names
Fightful Select reported today Yim has been under a short-term deal with Impact carrying her into October. The exact date is October 9th, which would make her a free agent after that date. This would mean she is under contract through next month’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
Also, Maria Kanellis, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taven’s deals are currently set to expire soon.
Yim previously worked for Impact from 2015 to 2017 under the ring name of Jade, where she won the Knockouts Championship. Yim also became the Queen of the Knockouts in 2016 prior to signing with WWE in 2018.
Yim was among the names to be released by WWE last November, including her husband Keith Lee.
Yim made her return to Impact Wrestling this past May at the Under Siege event, where she saved Taya Valkyrie from a post-match beatdown at the hands of Deonna Purrazzo.

Impact Wrestling officials are entering an interesting time for the promotion as several talent contracts are slated to expire.
Fightful Select reports Mia Yim’s contract is due in October, while Maria Kanellis confirmed that she is signed with the promotion through Bound For Glory.
Maria has stated that she has had talks with WWE, AEW, and Women of Wrestling (WOW). Her contract isn’t the only wrestler whose contract may be up as Matt Taven and Mike Bennett’s current deals expire soon.
These two stars are the current Impact Tag Team Champions. Sabin is under contract with Impact Wrestling through this year.
The Good Brothers also dropped their titles when their deals went up with Impact Wrestling after helping multiple tag teams become better.
NJPW Strong Tag Team Champions Aussie Open will take on the Motor City Machine Guns on this Thursday’s Impact Wrestling, with the winner earning an Impact Tag Team Title shot at October’s Bound For Glory.
This will be the go-home edition of Impact for Friday’s Victory Road special. Digital Media Champion Brian Myers defending against Bhupinder Gujjar in a ladder match and Jordynne Grace vs. Zicky Dice are the other bouts confirmed for this show.

At one point, Keith Lee was seemingly on the cusp of being WWE’s next breakout Superstar, starting off 2021 with a WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre.
After a lengthy hiatus from the ring, partly due to COVID-19, Lee returned in July 2021, but was released from the promotion that November.
Body Shape
Since his release, there has been speculation about why Lee fell from prominence so quickly, and was eventually cut from WWE.
A popular theory is that Lee was cut before of his weight, with some claiming that Lee refused to lose weight, forcing WWE to end their push of the ‘Limitless’ one.
In April 2022, Lee denied a claim that his weight was a factor in his release, describing the idea as a “fallacy.”
Many fans have compared Lee’s situation to Gunther, who lost a considerable amount of weight during his WWE tenure.
Gunther was called to the main-roster earlier this year and is currently the Intercontinental Champion, which fans have cited as proof that Lee’s WWE run would have been better had he lost weight.
Responding to a tweet comparing Lee and Gunther, in which it was again claimed that Lee “refused” to lose weight, the Limitless One’s wife Mia Yim fired back.
Yim, another WWE alum, said that even if Lee’s weight was a factor, that his medical issues during his WWE time could have cost him his life.
Yim explained that doctors told him that he could die if he elevated his heart rate, so working out wasn’t an option.
Walter is awesome.
“What keith Lee refused to do” When we weren’t sure if he was going to LIVE, the doctors told him if he elevated his heart rate, he could literally die. So working out, even jogging wasn’t an option. But go off about how he chooses to be fat and lazy. https://t.co/Eiqmp1su1z
Keith Lee did not find the success on WWE’s main roster many expected for him, but he has bounced back in AEW.
In February 2022, Lee joined AEW, defeating Isiah Kassidy to qualify for the “Face of the Revolution” Ladder match at Revolution, which was won by Wardlow.
In July, Lee, alongside fellow WWE alum Swerve Strickland, captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Last night, many notable pieces of news emerged from the July 7 episode. We have collected some of the news and updates from last night’s episode.
Killer Kelly To Return
During the July 7 episode of IMPACT, a vignette aired that announced the return of Killer Kelly to IMPACT Wrestling.
In November 2020, Killer Kelly made her IMPACT debut. She competed in the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament where she teamed with Renee Michelle. Unfortunately, Michelle and Kelly lost to Jordynne Grace and Jazz in the first round of the tournament.
Mia Yim is the new number one contender for the Knockouts Championship.
Yim and Deonna Purrazzo battled in the main event of the July 7 episode of IMPACT Wrestling. Yim was able to defeat Deonna to become the next person to challenge the Knockouts Championship Jordynne Grace.
The former AEW wrestler Alan Angels made his IMPACT Wrestling debut on the July 7 episode of their TV.
The tapings for this episode of Impact Wrestling TV took place just days after Angels’ AEW contract expired. Alan’s full-time AEW deal expired recently, but he decided to turn down a part-time deal.
It is unclear whether or not Angels has signed a contract. As Alan is from Georgia, where the tapings took place, this could be a one-off appearance.
Alan answered “Speedball” Mike Bailey’s open challenge for the X-Division Championship. On the Against All Odds pay-per-view, Bailey issued the open challenge. On the next night at the tapings, Alan Angels showed up to answer his call.
KUSHIDA is set to make his debut at the IMPACT Derby City Rumble.
IMPACT Wrestling has recently announced that at their next TV tapings the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and current NJPW star KUSHIDA will make his debut for the promotion. The TV tapings will take place in Kentucky on July 15 and 16.
The tapings will happen at Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. Tickets for the event are currently on sale here.
Wrestlers have dealt with many unforeseen circumstances in the ring and bowel movements are no exception.
We’ve seen wrestlers admit that they once dropped a deuce while in the ring. Back in late 2013, CM Punk did indeed take a number two during a WWE SmackDown match with The Miz.
In the case of Mia Yim, it was her opponent who had some loose fluid.
Mia Yim’s Opponent Pees Mid-Match
During an interview with Metro, Mia Yim revealed that an unnamed wrestler once peed on herself during their match at an independent show.
“I mean, as far as embarrassing stuff, I wrestled a match – this was many, many years ago and it was on the independents – where a girl peed in my match, and it was weird. Yeah, that was really weird. But it’s okay!
“It happens, you know? It happens. It’s one of those things where you just don’t bring attention to it, just don’t think about it, let’s get through this, and then let’s clean ourselves up.”
Yim currently performs for IMPACT Wrestling. She realigned with the promotion after being released by WWE last year.
Former WWE Superstar Mia Yim made her return to Impact Wrestling at last night’s Under Siege 2022 event.
After Taya Valkyrie retained her AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Deonna Purrazzo, an irate Purrazzo blindsided Valkyrie with a post-match attack but was stopped by the returning Yim.
Yim attempted a package piledriver on Purrazzo, who escaped before taking the move.
After the event, Fightful reported that Yim’s appearance wasn’t a one-off but that she has signed a new deal with the promotion.
Last night marked Yim’s first televised appearance at a wrestling event since her release from WWE in November 2021.
Her last match in WWE was a four-minute loss to Nikki Cross during a December 2020 taping of WWE Main Event nearly a year before her release.
In February 2022, Yim married Keith Lee, who was also released from WWE last November.
She made her return towrestling at the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow on March 31, where she defeated fellow WWE alum Athena (Ember Moon.)
Mia Yim In Impact
Yim wrestled for Impact Wrestling as Jade from 2015 to 2017 and signed with WWE in 2018.
Debuting as part of ‘The Dollhouse,’ a heel faction led by Taryn Tarrell, the group would split in March 2016 and Yim would win the Impact Knockouts Championship the following month.
Her last match in Impact was on the January 12, 2017 Xplosion tapings, losing a Last Woman Standing match to Rosemary.
