Michelle McCool Confirmed for WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025

WWE legend Michelle McCool is the second entrant of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2025, as announced on ESPN’s Get Up.

The announcement was made by WWE creative head Triple H as both Michelle and her husband The Undertaker appeared at the show. The Game first discussed how Taker was involved in surprising him with the news of H’s own HOF induction earlier.

The King of Kings joked that as the head of the company, he has the opportunity to get the last laugh, before announcing Michelle for the 2025 class:

“I wanted to come here today to take a moment to say, Michelle, The WrestleMania season is upon us, which means the Hall of Fame season is upon us. And I would like to tell you right now that you’ll be inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame.”

Triple H credited McMcool’s influence on the advanced state of women’s professional wrestling, calling her “one of the women that transformed what we do.”

Michelle McCool’s WWE Career

Michelle McCool is a WWE veteran who is considered a trailblazer for women’s wrestling. A multi-time woman’s champion, the wrestling icon is the idol for many of the current WWE stars.

Having found her way into the business in 2004 through Divas Search, McCool quickly became a fan favorite. She was considered one of the top female stars of the Ruthless Aggression Era before she retired from active competition in 2011.

The retired wrestling star made history when she became the inaugural WWE Divas Champion at the 2008 Great American Bash event. Not only did she have a long reign with the title, but she also went on to win the Women’s Championship in 2009. Michelle then unified both the belts, securing her name in the history books as the first and so far, the only Unified Divas Champion.

SEScoops would like to congratulate Michelle McCool on the well-deserved induction.

Michelle McCool Discusses Fan Harassment At Airports: People Just Don’t Have Boundaries

Michelle McCool has opened up about her own experience of dealing with obsessive fans at the airports.

The transgression of fans when approaching talents in public has been a topic of discussion recently. Especially for female talents it has become a huge problem in recent times. Stars such as Asuka have had to publicly condone such actions, making people concerned about their well-being.

The wrestling veteran also opened up about facing such troubles during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. Michelle McCool called such fans awful and noted how people don’t leave stars alone even when they’re with kids:

“People recognizing we were traveling on the road all the time. But man, it’s crazy. People just don’t have boundaries. It’s like, you appreciate and love the fans. You hear it from even the superstars today, but when you’re getting chased or followed and your kids are around, especially, it’s just like, Dude, come on.”

The former Women’s Champion is not the only one who has spoken about such issues in recent time. Sonya Deville who was victim of an attempted kidnapping in 2020 recently discussed how stalking laws don’t provide a lot of protection to celebrities and called for a change.

Apart from this, Michelle McCool also talked about the early backstage reactions to her relationship with The Undertaker and expressed regret on being part of a cruel WWE storyline. You can check out what she said about the matter here.

Michelle McCool Reveals WWE Backlash Over Undertaker Relationship

On the Insight podcast, Michelle McCool opened up about her marriage to WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker. McCool shared that while dating within WWE wasn’t uncommon, her relationship with the Deadman made her a target for criticism in ways others weren’t.

“I just know that I wasn’t the only one dating guys around there, and I definitely didn’t see that from anybody else.”

The pair began dating in the late 2000s, coinciding with McCool’s lengthy reign as WWE Women’s Champion. While some may suspect that her relationship with the WWE icon gave her advantages, McCool was adamant that she always fought her own battles.

“I actually am so stubborn, I don’t ever need any type of help to fight any battle, to fight a storyline, to pitch a storyline… I can look in the mirror and just say that’s never happened.”

On the podcast, McCool recalled an incident with a colleague, andshared that she had to “beg” The Undertaker not to escalate the matter, fearing it’d look bad on McCool’s part. Though she avoided naming names, McCool shared that writers within WWE took issue with her relationship.

“There were writers that literally threw up their papers. ‘If she wasn’t The Undertaker’s girlfriend…’”

McCool also battled two-faced individuals within WWE, sharing that people treated her very differently once they learned of her relationship with the Phenom. Michelle recalled making clear to someone that she was the same person she was ten minutes ago, before they’d learned of her relationship.

Despite these experiences, McCool remained steadfast in proving herself through hard work and resilience. Her insights provide a rare glimpse into the backstage dynamics of WWE and the challenges that come with being in a relationship with one of the most respected women in WWE history.

I Hated It: Michelle McCool Reflects On Being Part of Cruel WWE Storyline

Michelle McCool has opened up about being part of the Piggy James storyline.

In 2009, the former Divas Champion was involved in a demeaning storyline with fellow legend Mickie James. The storyline saw McCool, alongside her tag team partner Layla bullying James for supposedly being overweight and nicknaming her Piggy James.

The retired wrestling star opened up about the feud during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet. Michelle McCool noted that she hated the whole thing and revealed that she used to apologise to Mickie constantly for it:

“The whole Piggy James storyline, me at heart hated it, just because of what it was. You’re bullying somebody, supposedly that they’re supposedly overweight, and that has never been me. Every week I’d go up to her, ‘Mickie, I’m so sorry. This is what they want us to say’.”

Michelle McCool Praises Mickie James

Michelle McCool later gave praise to Mickie James for never complaining about it or trying to change the story like other talents. She also expressed the belief that the storyline is what got the LayCool tag team off the ground:

“Complete professional. Not once did she try to change things, which often girls did. Not once. She’s like, ‘No, it’s good. It’s cool.’ She knew that took two to tango. She knew what her role was. She knew what our role was, and she really, I think, put us on the map with that storyline.”

Apart from this, Michelle McCool talked about a potential Hall of Fame induction. She said that being inducted individually will be an honor but she hopes that LayCool also gets inducted as a team.

WWE Legend Teases Return for Women’s Royal Rumble

WWE fans may see former Divas Champion Michelle McCool return to action in the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match. McCool, who retired in 2011, recently teased a potential one-off comeback through a Twitter post.

The speculation arose after McCool shared a fan-made graphic of potential entrants in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble, which listed her at the #10 spot. While McCool has never pursued a full-time return to wrestling, the concept of a single appearance piqued her interest. In her tweet, McCool wrote:

“REAL TALK – since retiring, I’ve never been in any ‘serious talks’ with anyone about another run….not saying it wouldn’t be nice?!?! Confident I can go, so here’s my question: All ya gotta do is ‘declare yourself’ these days for the Rumble?!? #FLAWLESS Sorry y’all, saw this & truly made me wonder! #wwe #royalrumble #isitreallythatsimple #whodoicall”

McCool, who made a brief appearance on this week’s SmackDown, was shown in the crowd during the broadcast. Notably, her husband, WWE legend The Undertaker, was also present at the event, though he remained backstage.

The Women’s Royal Rumble, now in its eighth year, has a history of welcoming returning legends. McCool’s potential involvement would be a major draw for fans eager to see the former champion back in action, even for just one night.

McCool’s New Look

Michelle McCool recently made a change to her appearance, signaling a possible new chapter in her life post-retirement from professional wrestling.

Michelle McCool’s Pro Wrestling Career

Michelle McCool’s journey in WWE started in 2004 when she participated in the Diva Search competition. Although she didn’t win, her talent caught the attention of WWE management, leading to a developmental deal and training in Deep South Wrestling and OVW.

In 2006, McCool made her debut on the main roster as a villainous character with a teacher gimmick. Over the years, she underwent various character transformations and found success, notably forming the LayCool tag team with Layla in 2009 before retiring from wrestling in 2011.

Despite retiring from in-ring competition, McCool made a special appearance at the 30-Woman Royal Rumble in 2023, where she had a memorable entrance and participated in the match, lasting 13 minutes before being eliminated by Rhea Ripley, who was the eventual winner.

Michelle McCool and The Undertaker are enjoying married life at this point, as they are both retired. They are raising a daughter, and seem very happy with this stage of their life. Although Taker and McCool have retired from in-ring competition, you can never say never when it comes to seeing them again in WWE.

The Undertaker’s Whereabouts Before WWE Royal Rumble Confirmed

The Royal Rumble event is going down at Tropicana Field on January 27th, and the big day is upon us. Big names are expected for the event, and now we know where The Undertaker is.

The Undertaker’s Current Whereabouts

The Undertaker wrestled his final contest at WrestleMania 36 as he faced AJ Styles in a Boneyard match. Although the Deadman hasn’t competed since then, he has made a few appearances on WWE television.

The WWE Hall of Famer may not be publicly announced for the 2024 Royal Rumble event, but he is around. Sean Ross Sapp noted on Fightful Select that Taker is in Tampa.

The Undertaker is in Tampa.

Michelle McCool’s Royal Rumble Status

You never know who will show up at the Royal Rumble. Since we’re speaking about The Undertaker, that brings up a natural question about his wife, Michelle McCool. She already noted on Twitter/X that WWE didn’t send her an invitation for the big match.

This year’s WWE Royal Rumble could be a historic night for the company, for many reasons. Not only are there huge rumors about The Rock’s return, but this huge event is also going down one day after Vince McMahon resigned from the company after a bombshell lawsuit brought a slew of terrible accusations to the forefront.

SE Scoops will have ongoing coverage of the 2024 Royal Rumble event. Keep checking back for constant updates as we provide the biggest headlines from this year’s event.

Michelle McCool Clarifies Status For 2023 Royal Rumble

Former WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool has clarified her status for the upcoming 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match.

The event will go down from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on January 28. As per tradition, the winner of the women’s Royal Rumble match will go on to headline WrestleMania against the World Champion of their choice.

Every year the WWE brings back familiar faces to participate in the match, providing some exciting surprise returns for fans. One name that has already returned for the Rumble back in 2018 is none other than Michelle McCool.

The former WWE Women’s Champion took to Twitter and responded to a fan question about whether or not we can expect her in this year’s Royal Rumble match. However, McCool admits that WWE hasn’t contacted her about getting involved in the match.

McCool is a two-time WWE Women’s Champion and two-time Divas Champion. She retired from professional wrestling full-time in 2011, but has made sporadic appearances for WWE over the years.

These include matches at WWE’s Evolution pay-per-view (PPV), as well as her appearance in the 2018 Women’s Royal Rumble, where she had the highest number of eliminations on the night at five.

It remains to be seen if WWE will ultimately decide to reach out to McCool to get her in the match with just a little over a week to go.

Legendary WWE Diva Open to Returning: “I Stay Ready”

Charlotte Flair may have one of her wishes come true regarding a dream match that she recently talked about.

Flair made a recent return to WWE television as she won the SmackDown Women’s Championship on her first night back against Ronda Rousey on December 30.

Fans are looking forward to seeing “The Queen” work against some of the current talent on the roster such as Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez. However, there are some names from the past that she’s interested in stepping into the ring with. Flair recently spoke to WWE’s The Bump about several legends she wants to face.

The Tweet

Mickie James, Lita, and Michelle McCool were all names that she mentioned. McCool made it clear on Twitter that she is open to the idea of them working a match against each other.

She let Stephanie McMahon and Triple H know as she said, “Real Talk….RESPECT! Oh…..& I stay ready for anytime @wwe @TripleH or @StephMcMahon call! #FlawlessQueen.”

McCool wrapped up her full-time career in 2011, but has since worked one-off matches for the company. The first being in 2018 at the Royal Rumble as the former two-time Women’s and Divas Champion. She followed that up by competing in the 20-woman battle royal at WWE’s Evolution premium live event and then was part of the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match.

The Undertaker Once Squashed Michelle McCool WrestleMania Storyline

The Undertaker once put a stop to a WrestleMania storyline involving his wife, Michelle McCool.

Freddie Prinze Jr. recently took to his podcast, “Wrestling With Freddie,” to share the story from his days as a member of the WWE writers team.

Prinze noted that he was once tasked by Stephanie McMahon to write a WrestleMania storyline involving the then-WWE newcomer Awesome Kong (real name Kia Stevens). The storyline would culminate with a WrestleMania match between Kong and Beth Phoenix.

The plan was to have Kong go on a tear through the women’s division, taking out names such as Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, and the then-WWE Divas Champion, Michelle McCool.

Kong was to win the title off McCool at the Royal Rumble. This would then open up the door for a title match between Kong and Beth Phoenix at WrestleMania 28.

However, Michael Hayes later informed Prinze that word about the storyline made it to The Undertaker, who put a stop to it after speaking to Vince McMahon.

“So I write this up. I give it to Steph and she really likes it and Michael Hayes really likes it. It goes all the way to the top.

“It goes to Vince and it’s approved. But the WrestleMania match is not guaranteed. That’s the goal.”

(Some time later), “Michael Hayes tells me, ‘There’s a problem with your Diva storyline and we need to talk about it.’ I said, ‘What’s the problem?’

“He said, ‘It’s gone.’ I said, ‘What happened?’ He said, ‘Well, Michelle (McCool) said that you and her talked and she didn’t really like the story, so it’s gone.

“She talked to Undertaker. Undertaker talked to Vince. The story is gone.’”

Michelle McCool would not end up competing at WrestleMania 28. Instead, the only women’s match on the card would be a tag team match, seeing Kelly Kelly and Maria Menounos defeating Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres.

Michelle McCool Names Current WWE Star She Is Interested In Facing

Michelle McCool has wrestled in a few battle royals since her 2018 return. What she hasn’t done is participate in a singles match and she appears to be eying a current women’s champion for the same.

The former Divas champion recently appeared on Wives Of Wrestling podcast. She talked about things such as the different eras of wrestling and more.

Speaking about potential opponents if she were to wrestle another singles match, McCool said that she would love to work with Raw women’s champion Bianca Belair:

“If I were to ever come back, I would love to work with Bianca. It’s just crazy, she’s just crazy strong, she’s just crazy talented, but I really had fun with some of the newer girls this past Rumble,

Liv Morgan, I really enjoyed working with, Zelina, but I think Bianca.” said Michelle McCool, “Becky would be fun just to talk trash with, but yeah, I think Bianca would be the one.”

The wrestling veteran also praised Belair for her in-ring abilities. She called the EST of WWE the most athletically gifted human she has ever seen.

McCool most recently wrestled at the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble. She entered at #10 and lasted over 20 minutes before being eliminated by Mickie James.

Michelle McCool Explains why The Undertaker is Afraid of Cucumbers

The Undertaker may have spent three decades terrifying his opponents and fans alike, but there is one thing that leaves the recently-inducted WWE Hall of Famer shaking in his boots.

It’s a little-known secret that The Undertaker is afraid of cucumbers and goes to great lengths to avoid the creeping vine plant.

This week, The Undertaker’s wife Michelle McCool explained on the latest episode of the Wives of Wrestling podcast, the power that the humble fruit has on the former WWE World Champion:

“We can’t even have one in the room. Every birthday, [daughter] Kaia gets cucumbers. She’ll like put them under his pillow, she’ll put them in his car. Cucumbers, he can’t even smell them … can’t even be around it. He ate so many cucumbers one day that he got sick, and ever since then, it was just game over.”

“He ate so many cucumbers one day that he got sick, and ever since then, it was just game over.”

Getting pranked

The Undertaker may have commanded the respect of every Superstar in WWE, but there was one man who was willing to have fun at “The Deadman’s” expense.

Throughout his career, Owen Hart was known as a serial prankster, and even the legendary “Phenom” wasn’t safe.

On an episode of Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard, the veteran WWE personality recalled a story of The Undertaker getting pranked by Hart:

“Owen put cucumbers in the bottom of the iced tea so that when Taker drank the tea and drank it back, he didn’t realize the cucumbers were in there until it was looking at his face. Sometimes Owen would hide them in his tights and then put them in Taker’s face during a headlock. It was always fun to place cucumbers in odd places for Taker. Just like a cucumber on top of his bag would freak him out.”

Quote: Michelle McCool Gave Undertaker Peace In His Life

One WWE legend believes that The Undertaker has found an angel in Michelle McCool.

Undertaker and McCool married back in 2010. Taker had been in a prior marriage that ended in 2007. A good friend and fellow industry icon believes that Undertaker has changed for the better ever since being in a relationship with McCool.

“Touched By An Angel”

Taking to his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said The Undertaker has been calmer than ever.

“I think with The Undertaker, once he had that peace in his life, man, I think the rest of it has been easy for him. I don’t think I’ve seen dude as happy as he’s been over the last few years ever.

“I don’t think I’ve seen him, honestly as spiritual as I’ve seen him over these last few years because he’s been touched. He was touched by an angel and her name was Michelle McCool.

“Like I said, us grunts, us guys that’s out there in the trenches all the time, we need that soft touch to make us who we are sometimes. I think she’s the perfect match for him.”

McCool recently made a return appearance for WWE. She participated in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

The Undertaker took his last bow inside the ring at the Survivor Series event back in Nov. 2020. Booker T has said that he thinks Undertaker will want to have one last match before truly wrapping up his career.

Michelle McCool Explains How Royal Rumble Spot Came To Fruition

Michelle McCool will be in the Royal Rumble match this year but it wasn’t a lock the minute she was contacted.

McCool has been announced for the match along with the likes of Knockouts Champion Mickie James, Lita, and others. The Royal Rumble is known for delivering on nostalgia and this year is no exception.

Michelle McCool On Entering Royal Rumble

Michelle McCool appeared on Busted Open Radio and told host Dave LaGreca and Mark Henry that at first, she didn’t know whether or not she’d accept the invitation.

“So, I got a phone call from talent relations right about Christmas time. John Cone [Senior Manager of Talent Relations] called and he said, ‘Hey, we’re doing a Rumble and just wanted to gauge and see if you had any interest doing it.’

“I thought, ‘We’re about to go to Colorado for 10 days, which sets me back in my training. Uh, let’s see. Let me think about it, I’m very honored and flattered. Let me see.'”

McCool says ultimately it was her kids who served as motivation to go through with an appearance at the Royal Rumble.

“So, I thought about it. I talked it over with Mark. I was like, ‘You know what? You don’t get this opportunity too much.’

“I’m super grateful for it and it gives me a chance to really show my daughter Kaia and my son Colt that I’m a little scared but we can be scared and still go out there and be brave and do things and overcome challenges. So, that was kind of the motivation behind it.”

The Royal Rumble event will take place on a Saturday this year. It’ll be held inside The Dome at America’s Center on Jan. 29.

Michelle McCool Says She Didn’t Want The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak To End

Michelle McCool sides with WWE fans over the belief that The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania shouldn’t have ended.

Of course, Taker suffered his first loss at the event in 2014 at WrestleMania 30 to Brock Lesnar, which at the time had shocked the world.

While doing an interview with Digital Spy, McCool noted that she didn’t want the streak to end, but understands that it was a business decision. Despite this, she was shocked that it was decided upon by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

“The streak is just so big to me and as a fan being selfish, I didn’t want the streak to end like a lot of other people. Obviously, it’s business. There were no questions asked when they asked Mark to do it and obviously he’s a consummate professional. But it was shocking. I think I was just as shocked as a lot of people, it was so crazy.”

The Undertaker’s most recent contest and possible last bout came at this year’s WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event in a Boneyard Match against AJ Styles. The legendary pro wrestler went over the former WWE Champion.

Since that time, there’s been speculation as to whether this was the retirement match for “The Deadman.” Time will tell, but we could get that answer when the fifth and final episode of Taker’s docuseries on the WWE Network airs this Sunday.

Bully Ray: “Undertaker’s Promo Was Good, Edge’s Promo Was Great”

WWE Hall of Famer and co-host of Busted Open Radio Bully Ray recently discussed the events of the Monday Night RAW. This week’s episode was once again filmed with no live audience, and a lot of the promo work was shot ‘backstage.’

Bully would compare the work between the ‘big 4’ promos on the show; notably Kevin Owens, Edge, Undertaker and Paul Heyman.

Bully Ray on Edge and Undertaker

“‘Takers promo was good, Edge’s promo was great,” Bully Ray began. “They were all [the big four], you know, all of them did a phenomenal job. But there was a reason why Edge’s was better. But man, all of these people talking to us. Edge made me want to put my hands in my pocket and pull out money to plop down on a pay per view.”

This will of course be Edge’s first singles match back in a WWE ring since 2011, following his return from a neck injury that kept him out of action. It was originally believed that Edge would never be able to return, but seemingly he has the fire and passion to cut some of the best promo work of his career over the past few months.

Selling Fans on a PPV

“And whenever I’m teaching students at the Team 3d Academy, and I’m teaching them about the art of the promo? I say I tell them you have one job at the end of this promo” Bully Ray elaborated.

“That one job is that when you’re done talking, no matter what you say, and no matter how long you say it for. Whether that’s one second, one minute, or five minutes. The idea is to make the fan want to put their hands in their pocket and plunk down 20 bucks for a T shirt. Plunk down 50 bucks for a pay per view, plunk down whatever for a ticket. And those four promos last night from ‘Taker, Edge. Owens and Paul? They all made me want to do it.”

“The only part I don’t think I liked? Is when ‘Taker said: ‘you mentioned her.'”

– Bully Ray

Bully Ray would then go into why he felt Edge’s promo was better, citing the fact that Undertaker’s may have felt a little bit more ‘scripted’ in execution. “Taker had me hook line and sinker” Bully began. “The only part I don’t think I liked? Is when ‘Taker said: ‘you mentioned her.’ [He] was telling AJ ‘you mentioned her,’ I knew that he was talking about his wife Michelle. But then when he had to go ahead and say her whole name Michelle McCool? I went, ‘Ah, don’t tell me her whole name I know her whole name already!’ that felt a little forced to me.”

Styles Clash vs Faithbreaker

Ray would then move on to the fact that Undertaker was trying to bring the Styles Clash vs Faithbreaker conversation into the story. With Michelle McCool seemingly ‘borrowing’ AJ’s move in the early 2010’s.

“Bringing up the name of the finish that Michelle McCool used, which is basically the styles clash, I guess she had given another name? That felt a little bit forced.”

“I personally never saw Michelle McCool use the finish. I know they showed me maybe footage once of it. I’m really not associating Michelle McCool with the Styles Clash, so it almost came across to me like Undertaker was really pushing his wife. To get over her. That part right there felt like a little bit of a round peg in a square hole. So that’s why I said his stuff was good because I loved everything that he did. And I especially loved his holy trinity line.”

The overwhelming feeling from both Bully Ray and co-host Dave LaGreca was that the promos from Monday Night RAW were more than enough to convince people to purchase WrestleMania 36 this weekend. For the first time ever the event is being held over two nights, and will now be available to purchase on FITE TV.

Do you feel that Edge’s and Undertaker’s promos were enough to get you to watch WrestleMania this weekend? Let us know in the comments

Michelle McCool Likes Tweet On Undertaker Returning Over Low Ratings

Michelle McCool, former WWE Divas Champion and The Undertaker’s wife, got fans talking over an action that she did on social media involving her husband.

She liked a fan tweet that was posted on Monday night where the fans stated that she thought WWE was pressing an “Undertaker” button because “WWE RAW RATINGS SUCK.” You can see the screenshot here:

“The Deadman” shocked fans by making a surprise appearance on Monday’s episode of RAW to make the save for Roman Reigns from a beatdown thanks to Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre during their 2-on-1 Handicap Match that was taking place.

While the fan may not be wrong in their opinion, from a factual standpoint, it should be noted that WWE never advertised The Undertaker for this show. This is against the normal routine for the company as they usually advertise the future WWE Hall of Famer for appearances a week in advance.

This return eventually led to a match announcement of Taker and Reigns vs. McMahon & McIntyre at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center.

Michelle McCool Says WWE’s Top Women Should Demand Equal Pay

When Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey main event WrestleMania 35 next weekend, Michelle McCool hopes they get paid as much as men who have main event’ed the same show. TMZ caught up with the former Divas and WWE women’s champion recently and she talked about WrestleMania.

“I do think the women should get paid, a main event is a main event,” McCool said when asked if the women should get paid as much as the men.

McCool didn’t hesitate with her reply. “I hope they do and think they should.”

Due to the secretive nature of WWE’s bonus system, it will be difficult to know if the women are compensated in a similar manner to main event wrestlers of WrestleManias past.

McCool also spoke about how much she’s enjoyed the WrestleMania storyline. The TMZ interview can be seen in the player below:

Equal Pay In Pro Wrestling

With women’s wrestling growing in popularity inside and outside WWE, the topic of equal pay has come up with regularity as of late. Chief “Brandi” Officer for AEW, Brandi Rhodes, has said that wrestlers across genders in the promotion will be paid equally in regards to their position in the company.

“Equal pay means equal opportunity regardless of sex. It does not mean that everyone will be paid the exact same salary regardless of their position. It means the gender pay gap does not apply. An entry level woman won’t make less than an entry level man because of her gender.”
