Reigns is currently serving a 30-day suspension for his first WWE Wellness Policy violation.
– Paige VanZant’s manager confirmed to FOX Sports that WWE recently approached them about having the UFC and DWTS star appear in some capacity at SummerSlam. Negotiations are ongoing as VanZant plots her UFC return.
– Thanks to DDP Yoga, Mick Foley has lost 68 pounds in 6 months. He’s now weighing at 270 pounds, which is his lightest since 1990. He tweeted the following on the day before his 51st birthday:
– WWE posted this video with Seth Rollins looking back at his history with Roman Reigns ahead of their upcoming WWE Championship Match at MITB on 6/19:
– In Nielsen’s nightly Twitter TV ratings for series & specials, WWE Extreme Rules had 268,000 tweets with 50,000 unique authors. The show ranked #3 for the night, behind the Billboard Music Awards and Game of Thrones.
– We noted earlier that Charlotte and Seth Rollins made the Sports Illustrated “Fittest 50” list. Charlotte came in at #24 on the women’s list while Rollins came in at #24 on the men’s list. SI wrote these blurbs:
“Ashley Fliehr, aka Charlotte, has athletic abilities that extend well beyond WWE. She competed internationally in gymnastics for seven years; won three cheerleading national championships, played volleyball and basketball and did swimming, diving, ballet and track and field. Fliehr uses everything from kettlebells to pull-up bars and more to sculpt her physique.”
“Colby Lopez, better known by his ring name Seth Rollins, is one of WWE’s top stars and an all-around freak athlete. He suffered a knee injury in November but has been rehabbing for months to return, using tools such as the SkiErg (a machine that mimics Nordic skiing movements), the rowing machine and, of course, some heavy weights.”
– Mick Foley posted a meme on WWE couple Paige and Alberto Del Rio but says he asked them how they felt about it before posting. Below is the meme and what Foley said in the comments section:
“I actually asked both Paige and Alberto how they felt about it a few minutes before the post even went up – and they were both very good sports about it.”
Mick Foley wrote a Facebook blog on Roman Reigns after the Extreme Rules match against AJ Styles:
THE GUY
Roman Reigns is THE guy. There, I said it. I’m sure I will get heat for saying it too. But Roman Reigns has found his groove. He’s having great matches, and it is not an exaggeration to label his series of matches with AJ Styles as epic. The chemistry between AJ and Roman was electric. You cannot predict or create that type of chemistry; it either exists or it does not. When great chemistry is lacking, two superstars can still have very good matches, but they tend to fade from memory fairly quickly. When it’s there, that rivalry becomes electric, and energizes everything it comes into contact with – from breathing new life into the Usos, to establishing Gallows and Anderson as players in WWE.
The same mannerisms that drove me crazy when he was being forced upon fans as the good guy – the crooked smile, the dismissive laugh – are incredibly effective heat-getters when facing someone like Styles – and as I’ve long maintained, he is as believable an ass-kicker as I’ve seen when angered. Now, with the return of Seth Rollins, I am looking for even bigger things from Roman Reigns, and for an electric atmosphere that will energize everything they come into contact with.
Let me know what you think. Feel free to disagree.
HEY, TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT! ME AND SHANE-O MAC ON #?WWENetwork, right after #RAW?

– Mick Foley recently took to Facebook to comment on this Sunday’s Extreme Rules PPV. The WWE Hall of Famer wrote about the “Asylum” match between Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho, saying it may be a “big break” for Ambrose.
Could this AsylumMatch at ExtremeRules be exactly what Dean Ambrose needs? Experience has taught me that a big break is often a series of smaller breaks – like a ball peen hammer tapping away at that glass ceiling everyone talks about…until finally, it shatters. Could this match it be another breakthrough for Ambrose? Couldn’t potential he steal the show – a tall task given the chemistry between AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns in their last outing.
– The Extreme Rules pre-show starts at 7:00 PM ET this Sunday, and the actual pay-per-view will begin at 8:00. Join us for live play-by-play results from the event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday evening.

– “Mean” Gene Okerlund noted that his longtime broadcast colleague Bobby Heenan is currently hospitalized after taking a fall earlier today. Keep “The Brain” in your thoughts.

WWE sent out a programming alert on Tuesday announcing the next “podcast” special. The “Shane McMahon Tell All Podcast” hosted by Mick Foley premieres on the WWE Network on Monday, May 23rd immediately following RAW.
Starting in August, Foley and his daughter Noelle will star in their own WWE Network series, Holy Foley. For more information on that show, click here.
For those that witnessed Monday Night Raw last night, the WWE opened the show with a graphic of Chyna under complete silence. Then, nearly two-thirds into the show, the WWE finally aired a tribute video to Chyna, which was very-well done.
The response from the WWE Universe was welcomed, especially after the flack the company got for not making Chyna’s recovery a priority in the darker days of her life.
After complaints about how the WWE wouldn’t even mention Chyna, the new conversations is beginning Chyna not getting into the WWE Hall of Fame. While that’s still several months away, it’s only a hot topic right now because she passed away.
While being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is a huge honor, it doesn’t define the wrestler. That’s what Mick Foley said on his Facebook page when asked if Chyna should be inducted next year.
“Joanie”, I said. “Being inducted into the Hall of Fame was one of the greatest nights of my life – but it doesn’t define me. Don’t let it define you. You’re a legend in our business, no one can ever take away from you the things you’ve done. Don’t let anyone have the power to tell you whether or not your career was worthy of the Hall of Fame. It was! There will never be another Chyna”
So next year, when the announcements are made, if Chyna is not an inductee, don’t be sad. The real Hall of Fame is inside all of us. It’s a Hall of Fame based on the way superstars made us feel, the smiles they produced, the memories they created for us, the legacies they forged that will stand the test of time. By that standard, Joanie Laurer – Chyna; the 9th Wonder of the World was inducted into the Hall that really matters – our hall of memories – a long, long time ago.
Is the Hardcore Legend right? As an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, he has every right to comment on this situation.
Whether Chyna gets inducted or not, that doesn’t take away from the impact she had on the WWE, as well as women in pro wrestling.
Despite what you may have heard, I really don’t believe Triple H dislikes me, as my son Mickey implied on his live stream – from which point the story took on a life of its own. Keep in mind, that my son Mickey is on the autism spectrum and while he is a bright and beautiful child, he doesn’t always speak with the same type of filter that most of us naturally have – and as a result, he is much more likely to say exactly what comes into his mind.
Sure, it created something of an awkward position for me – but nothing that is said or done will ever take away from the bond Triple H and I share; the bond of great matches as we were moving up the card in 1997 and 1998, and when we were on top of the card, on top of the cell – and figuratively, on top of the world in 2000. Rumors will come and go. But memories like the ones Triple H and I created will last a lifetime.
It’s been said in the past that Triple H would disparage Foley in creative meetings. Here is what I reported in June 2012 about the rumor:
Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer was asked by a reader during his radio show why WWE has not utilized Mick Foley on television more frequently since his return to the organization in November 2011. He said this is due to Triple H’s lobbying, who is resentful of “The Hardcore Legend.”
Meltzer says Triple H deprecates Foley whenever his name comes up in creative meetings. While Brian Gewirtz, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Creative Writing, feels Foley is creative and a good performer, Triple H thinks otherwise. He says Foley ‘doesn’t look tough’ and can’t be taken seriously as an in-ring performer.
A former WWE creative writer told Power Slam magazine in 2008 under the condition of anonymity that Triple H would disparage Foley whenever he appeared for the company, and in the process, diminish his value in the eyes of Vince and Stephanie McMahon.
“Foley is an out-of-shape nobody,” Triple H was reported as saying by the writer. “No one cares about him at all. Funaki puts more asses in the seats than Foley does. He should pay us for coming on our shows.”
Meltzer believes the real reason Triple H still holds Foley in contempt is because he gets irritated over the consensus of his closest co-workers that his memorable matches with Foley in 2000 “made him a star.”
During his appearance on Steve Austin’s live Stone Cold Podcast from WrestleMania AXXESS, hardcore legend Mick Foley revealed that he’s dropped 50 pounds since December 2015. Foley noted that he trimmed down by swimming, utilizing low impact aerobics and practicing DDP yoga. Early Wednesday, Foley posted a Facebook message elaborating on his path to weight loss, going from 338 lbs. all the way down to 288.

WWE announced on Thursday that Holy Foley, a new docu-series starring Mick Foley and his daughter Noelle, will premiere on the WWE Network in August.
Produced by Trooper Entertainment in association with Lionsgate, Holy Foley will offer “a comedic, behind-the-scenes look into the life of WWE Hall of Famer, husband and father Mick Foley and his unique relationship with his daughter Noelle.”
The 10-episode, 30-minute family reality series is slated to premiere in August 2016.
“I am excited to give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the Foley family life,” said Mick Foley in a press release. “Holy Foley will be filled with surprises, lots of drama and moments that will make you laugh out loud.”

However, unbeknownst to Mick, Noelle has decided she wants to follow in her father’s footsteps, and has been secretly training to join WWE. Just when Mick thought he was out of the ring, Noelle is leading the charge to pull him back in.
As if Noelle’s aspirations weren’t enough, Dewey, Mick’s oldest son, recently landed his dream job as a writer’s assistant on the WWE creative team.
In Holy Foley, real-life antics and laugh-out-loud moments will unfold as cameras follow two generations of Foleys trying to make it in life – and at WWE.”

Mick Foley’s daughter Noelle will be heavily featured in the show, so this appears to be her formal introduction to the WWE Universe.
Mick Foley says he’s going to try to add to the excitement of WrestleMania this year. In an interview with Sports Illustrated to promote his charity sweepstakes, Foley commented on rumors of an appearance at WrestleMania 32.
“There is a rumor that I will be participating in the show,” Foley said. “I’m not sure how just yet, but I’ll try to add to the excitement of WrestleMania.”
The first-ever WWE Hardcore Champion also revealed his favorite WrestleMania moment, and sang the praises of the late “Macho Man” Randy Savage.
“Savage-Steamboat from WrestleMania III,” Foley answered when asked about his favorite ‘Mania moment. “It had the ability to cast an impression that’s lasted thirty years. I haven’t mentioned Savage much, maybe because he came up in-between the Jimmy Snuka years and the Terry Funk/Bruiser Brody years, but when I entered pro wrestling, Savage was my favorite guy. I was really impressed, not only by his character, but also with his work ethic. I understood even at 19 years old that there was so much more to Savage than the character. He was an extremely hard worker, and I admired that.”
Foley is expected to be on RAW next week and appear on a live WWE Network Stone Cold podcast on the road to WrestleMania. WrestleMania 32 takes place on April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley posted a message on Facebook about the tragic death of Japanese wrestling legend Hayabusa.
RIP HAYABUSA
Pro wrestling lost another great with the death of Hayabusa (Eiji Ezaki) at age 47 from complications of a subarachnoid hemorrhage. I remember this gifted and Innovative high-flyer so well – from the pages of Japanese wrestling magazines, where he would seemingly do the impossible on a regular basis. He work for FMW in Japan, while I worked for IWA Japan- so we were, in a sense, competitors – but I had nothing but respect for him, and was pleased to meet him at the two FMW events was part of – in 1996 and 1997. Hayabusa was paralyzed in 2001, following a springboard moonsault attempt, in which he slipped off the ropes, and landed on his head, cracking two vertebrae in his neck – never to wrestle again.
But, if in death, a man can inspire others in life, than truly that life has been one worth living. Please take a look at this video that captures his most remarkable moment – in 2015, surrounded by his peers, fans, and loved ones, Hayabusa walks to the ring for the first time since his accident.
