Don’t plan on the New Day breaking up anytime soon, the group has consistently high merchandise sales, and that doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
WWEShop.com released limited edition New Day replica tag team championship belts to commemorate the team’s historic 483 day title reign. The belts reportedly sold out quickly.
After a 483 day title reign, it can be difficult to find things for a team to do. New Day recently dropped two straight to the main roster-debuting Revival, and then were drafted to Smackdown on Tuesday.
It’s unclear if New Day will debut immediately on Smackdown. There are indications the team might take a short sabbatical. Kofi’s injury should keep him out for at least a few weeks, and Big E seems to be planning a new side project.
I may be officiating weddings in LA April 20-22. Hit me if you're weird. MarriedbyBigE@gmail.com. I'm actually not joking. For once.
Apparently anyone can apply for and receive a licence to marry people. This Boston Globe article goes into further detail about how many weddings are now being officiated by people who apply for one-day licenses to legally marry people.
Why would Big E want to do this? Big E’s manner of speaking and voice would make him a very entertaining addition to anyone’s wedding. Not a bad sidekick for 1/3 of the longest reigning WWE tag champs of all-time.
No word on if Big E has been contacted by Laurel Van Ness.
During Smackdown, it was announced that New Day are coming to Smackdown. The former Raw Tag Team Champions will make their SmackDown debut soon. The announcement was made in a short video package and New Day did not appear on the show. You can check out the video below.
It was also announced that Lana will be joining the Smackdown roster. Lana was shown dancing in a new video and will be make her Smackdown debut sometime in the near future. It was also announced that Rusev will be coming to Smackdown when he returns from injury

Vince McMahon made a surprise appearance on Monday’s post-WrestleMania RAW and dropped the bombshell that we’ll see a Superstar Shake-Up next week.
The RAW and SmackDown rosters will look very different come next Tuesday, with RAW General Manager Kurt Angle and SmackDown General Manager vying to beef up their respective rosters.
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed several names that are expected to be switching brands. It should be noted that Meltzer’s info is believed to be based on backstage sources speaking on condition of anonymity. He said,
“When I first heard about the plan, the key moves were to be Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, but I’ve been told that Roman Reigns isn’t moving but AJ Styles is moving.”
AJ moving to Raw would unite him with fellow Club members Gallows, Anderson and Finn Balor.
More Names Moving?
Meltzer continued that Raw would probably have to give up a big name to Smackdown to make up for losing AJ. He also speculated that Alexa Bliss and Charlotte will switch places, though he has not heard that is the plan.
“I’ve heard the New Day moving, which makes sense” – Dave Meltzer
Smackdown’s tag division could use a boost, considering the SD tag titles were the only main roster belts not defended at WrestleMania. Meltzer noted that that Andrade “Cien” Almas and Elias Samson are both expected to be called up to the main roster.
It should be noted that this Superstar Shake-Up is not being promoted as the official ‘2017 WWE Draft.’ AJ Styles and Roman Reigns would certainly create a number of fresh match-ups (and alliances), but we might have to wait until this summer to see a more dramatic reshuffling.
Discussion: Which WWE Superstars do you want to see switch brands next week during the Superstar Shake-Up?
The WWE has uploaded a video previewing the pyro and set for Wrestlemania 33. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E introduced the set. The New Day are the official hosts of Wrestlemania 33 which airs tomorrow night.
Last night, Kurt Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2017. Angle broke out all the hits during his speech. The WWE uploaded a video highlighting some of the best moments from Kurt Angle during the Hall of Fame ceremony.
Wrestlemania 33 is believed to be the end of Goldberg’s current WWE contract. Goldberg could always sign on for more appearances with the WWE in the future, but as of now it appears that his WWE run is coming to an end. Goldberg posted the following on Instagram:
“Call it luck…. hard work……or fate. Still trying to grasp the moment from last night. Thank you to all the fans who’ve welcomed me back during this run. Truly an honor to have my family along for the ride this time! #humbled #grateful #priceless #familyfirst The biggest #thankyou goes out to my wonderful wife who’s put up with me during this time. Also quite important is that none of this would’ve happened without the @wwe giving me the opportunity. #thankuall #teamgoldberg BTW , if you think I’m throwing in the towel you know nothing about me. Expect all hell to break loose at #wrestlemania no matter what I’m going out on my sword! If I got 1 or 50 left I’m bringing the heat!!!! #bankonit”

The New Day are the stars in a brand new Snickers advertisement. Xavier Woods isn’t himself when he’s hungry.
Last year at WrestleMania, New Day were tag team champions but would not defend their belts. Instead the trio took on the League of Nations (Rusev, Sheamus and Del Rios) and were defeated.
At WrestleMania 31, New Day were not yet the popular team they have become and lost in the opening match of the show. They were defeated by Tyson Kidd and Cesaro in a fatal 4-way match which also included Los Matadores and the Usos.
This year, New Day will be hosting WrestleMania, which in the past has proven to be a hard role to do well. Rock was the last host of WrestleMania, and would eventually get involved in the main event match between John Cena and the Miz at WrestleMania 27 that year.
– As of this writing, there are currently 93 pro wrestling events scheduled for ‘WrestleMania Week’ in the Orlando, Florida area. Check out the full list below, compiled by Josh Ketch:
We are at 93 events & this is likely the final schedule for #Wrestlemania weekend in Orlando. Please RT, share, & check out these shows! pic.twitter.com/70p0Rysob1
Opening Segment: Kevin Owens Cuts A Promo On Goldberg
Kevin Owens opened up Raw alone. There was no Chris Jericho by his side, nobody to hide behind. Instead, he sat in a chair and stated his strategy for defeating Goldberg at Fastlane. Owens vowed to outlast Goldberg. He said it is common knowledge that the longer a Goldberg match goes, the more likely it is that Goldberg will falter. Owens was going to address his attack on Chris Jericho last week but opted to drop the microphone and leave the ring. Two weeks before WWE Fastlane, the WWE wants you to take Kevin Owens seriously. He has spent months relying on others to help him win matches. If he drops the title to Goldberg, he was officially a paper champion. If he retains due to outside interference, he is the same old Kevin Owens. If he defeats Goldberg clean, then all of Goldberg’s mystique is gone heading into his match against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.
Enzo & Cass Become #1 Contenders For The Raw Tag Team Championships
After months of meaningless feuds, Enzo and Cass have finally been thrust into the Raw Tag Team Championship picture. They defeated Sheamus & Cesaro and will now face Gallows & Anderson for the titles at WWE Fastlane. Sheamus & Cesaro won the Raw Team Championships by defeating the New Day. The New Day were the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history. Sheamus & Cesaro then did nothing with the titles and promptly dropped them to Gallows & Anderson on the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show. After the match, Sheamus leveled Enzo with a Brogue Kick outside the ring. Cesaro congratulated Sheamus on laying out Enzo. Are Sheamus & Cesaro now heels? I guess those backstage segments with Bayley the last couple of weeks were pointless.
Roman Reigns Beatdown Both Gallows & Anderson
For the second week in a row, Roman Reigns was able to beat the hell out of the Raw Tag Team Champions. There has really been no explanation as to why Gallows & Anderson insist on fighting Roman Reigns. These Handicap matches have done nothing but make Gallows & Anderson look weak. Roman Reigns looks powerful, but he always has. The problem is that he has never been able to connect with the WWE Universe the way that the WWE apparently wants him to. Instead of feeding a random team like the Shining Stars to Reigns, the WWE has instead made the Raw Tag Team Champions look even weaker than they already did before this “feud” with Roman Reigns.
Looks like I picked a bad night to stop sniffin glue…
After dropping the Raw Tag Team Championships, the New Day have been in random feuds with Titus O’Neil and now Rusev & Jinder Mahal. The New Day were named the hosts of Wrestlemania 33, presumably because the WWE has nothing for them to do. The New Day are now protecting their blueprints to their ice cream that is coming out this year. Why every Superstar they face is obsessed with these blueprints I have no idea. Since losing the United States Championship, Rusev has been relegated to a comedy act. Rusev was once feared as this dominant force, now he is stuck in segments like the one we saw last night.
The Women’s Division On Raw Is The Same Thing Over And Over Again
Charlotte has never lost a match on a WWE PPV, yet is routinely beaten on Monday Night Raw. Last night, she tapped out to the Bank Statement via Sasha Banks. Last week, Charlotte lost her Women’s Championship to Bayley. It was announced that Charlotte will get her rematch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Fastlane. Instead of slowly building Bayley up, she was given the Raw Women’s Championship on a random episode of Raw. Stephanie McMahon wanted Bayley to relinquish the title due to Sasha Banks interfering in her match with Charlotte last week. If Bayley drops the title to Charlotte at Fastlane, that will make Charlotte a 5x Raw Women’s Champion in under a year.
I find it hard to believe that Charlottes undefeated PPV streak would end at Fastlane. It would make much more sense for that moment to happen at Wrestlemania. It also would have made more sense for Bayley to overcome Charlotte and The Authority and finally get her moment at Wrestlemania. Instead, we’ve already seen that moment of her winning the Raw Women’s Championship. The other option is for Bayley to retain and face either Sasha Banks or Nia Jax at Wrestlemania. The problem with that is that Nia Jax receives virtually no reaction from the WWE Universe. Sasha Banks has zero momentum right now and Wrestlemania is five weeks away. It just seems like the better story would have been to hold Bayley down until Wrestlemania. Charlotte could have screwed Bayley out of winning the Raw Women’s Championship until the biggest show of the year.
Roman Reigns Is In No Man’s Land
Roman Reigns has gotten his ass kicked two weeks in a row by Braun Strowman. Reigns will face Strowman at WWE Fastlane. If he defeats Strowman at Fastlane, people will be pissed off. If Reigns loses, what does he do at Wrestlemania? As of now, Roman Reigns is not a part of a major match at Wrestlemania. I’m not sure if the WWE thought that placing Reigns in Handicap matches would cause the audience to be more receptive to him. Whatever they were going for, it hasn’t worked at all.
Michael Cole made it a point to say that Roman Reigns sent a message after he beatdown Gallows & Anderson. I have zero clue what that message is supposed to be. Is Reigns going to face Strowman at Fastlane and then again at Wrestlemania? Reigns is a no win situation right now. If he gets thrust into the Universal Championship picture before Wrestlemania, people will get pissed off. If he is not a part of a major match at Wrestlemana, that feels like a waste. Say what you want about Roman Reigns, at the very least he generates a reaction from the WWE Universe. Right now, he seems to be in a position where the WWE Universe does not want him to succeed, yet the WWE still wants him to be a top guy.
Breakdown: The build to this match has mainly focused on Enzo Amore and Rusev. Enzo got suckered into meeting Lana at a hotel and Rusev beat the hell out of him. Big Cass now has his chance avenge his friend Enzo in a match against Rusev.
Prediction: This is a tough match to predict. Enzo and Cass haven’t really been in the Tag Team Championship seen at all recently. I wouldn’t be surprised if the WWE wants to start a singles push for Big Cass. I think Enzo and Cass are a solid tag team but once you get past the entrance, they have the same match every time. Enzo gets destroyed and then Big Cass gets tagged in and takes care of business. In a perfect world, Rusev wins this match but Big Cass has a good showing.
Winner: Rusev
Sami Zayn vs Braun Strowman (10 Minute Time Limit)
Breakdown: Sami Zayn has been obsessed with Strowman the past few weeks and Braun simply couldn’t care less. The two Superstars had a match a couple of weeks ago and Raw GM Mick Foley put a stop to it because Zayn couldn’t defend himself. Zayn demanded a rematch and finally Foley caved in and gave it to him this Sunday at Roadblock. Foley also put a 10 minute time limit on the match.
Prediction: I cannot come up with a scenario in which it would make sense for Sami Zayn to win this match. Obviously, Sami Zayn has been underutilized on Raw since the brand split. However, Raw has spent far too much time building up Braun Strowman for him to lose a relatively meaningless match against Sami Zayn. I think Sami Zayn will last the 10 minutes and that will piss Strowman off. The match will conclude with Strowman beating down Zayn after the 10 minute mark was reached. Foley may come out to try to put a stop to it and maybe Strowman will attack him as well. I think this would be a good way to show that Sami Zayn never quits and that Braun Strowman is an uncontrollable monster that the Raw locker room should fear.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match: New Day (c) vs Sheamus & Cesaro
Breakdown: This match was announced at Tribute to the Troops on Wednesday. Sheamus and Cesaro defeated Golden Truth, Gallows & Anderson and The Shining Stars in a Fatal 4-Way match to become the #1 contenders. The New Day are now the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history.
Prediction: A lot of people seem to believe that the New Day’s title reign is coming to an end. Sheamus and Cesaro got off to a rocky start when it came to crowd reactions but they have overcome that. They now work well as a tag team and are pretty much the only team on Raw that is ready to take the titles from the New Day. I think that will happen in due time. However, I do not think that will happen at Roadblock.
Winners & Still Tag Team Champions: New Day
Cruiserweight Championship Match: Rich Swann (c) vs The Brian Kendrick vs TJ Perkins
Breakdown: TJ Perkins lost the Cruiserweight title to Kendrick and then Kendrick lost it to Swann. On 205 Live, TJ Perkins submitted Rich Swann in the middle of the ring. On Monday Night Raw, Kendrick defeated Perkins easily. Perkins and Swann are friends but they seem ready to turn on each other. Kendrick’s strategy has been to play mind games with both Swann and Perkins.
Prediction: This is one of those matches that could go a million different ways. I don’t like the idea of Kendrick getting the title back so quickly. He really doesn’t need it. I think that the WWE has been dropping some subtle hints that Perkins is gearing up for a heel turn. His interactions with Swann backstage have been bizarre. I think Rich Swann is going to retain his title but Perkins is going to attack him after the match. Brian Kendrick may even join in on the attack or simply smile and cheer Perkins on.
Winner & Still Cruiserweight Champion: Rich Swann
Seth Rollins vs Chris Jericho
Breakdown: Rollins and Jericho have been battling for awhile now. Rollins was mainly focused on Kevin Owens but Jericho kept getting involved in their matches. Rollins hit a Pedigree on Jericho on top of a car a couple of weeks ago on Raw. Seth wants to defeat Jericho, take the Universal Championship from Kevin Owens and then fight Triple H. Jericho has a lot on his mind but mainly his beloved list and his broken friendship with Kevin Owens.
Prediction: The only way Jericho can win this match is by some sort of outside interference. I do not believe that Triple H will be showing up at WWE Roadblock but you never know. I think it is more likely that this match is earlier in the show and Kevin Owens tries to help Jericho out. Owens is desperate to fix his friendship with Jericho. If he can accomplish that, maybe Jericho will show up later in the night in Owens’ title defense against Roman Reigns. Even if Owens interferes, I think Rollins overcomes it and still wins the match.
Winner: Seth Rollins
Iron Man Match For The Raw Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs Charlotte
Breakdown: Sasha Banks and Charlotte have essentially been trading the Raw Women’s Championship back and forth since the brand split. Sasha Bansk won the title back on Raw recently and celebrated with Ric Flair in the ring. The following week, Charlotte pretended to apologize to her father for embarrassing him back in May on Raw. Charlotte once again talked down to Ric Flair and then beat up Sasha Banks in front of him. Ric Flair stood there helplessly as his daughter beatdown Banks.
Prediction: Charlotte is undefeated at PPVs and I wouldn’t be surprised if that continues. I think this match will be excellent and will showcase how talented both Sasha Banks and Charlotte are. However, I think the ending will involve Ric Flair helping out his daughter Charlotte. I don’t think the WWE is bringing back Ric Flair as an on-screen character for him to be in the corner of Sasha Banks. Thus, the Raw Women’s Championship will once again change hands and Charlotte will leave Pittsburgh with the title.
Winner & New Raw Women’s Champion: Charlotte
Universal Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs Roman Reigns
Breakdown: Roman Reigns has gotten the upper hand on Owens recently. Roman Reigns both want the Universal Championship. Reigns gets his shot on Sunday and Rollins battles Owens’ former best friend Chris Jericho. Reigns has already defeated Kevin Owens clean recently and that victory gave him the oppurtunity at the Universal Championship.
Prediction: Much like the Jericho and Rollins match, the only way Owens can win this match is by someone interfering. Owens has been booked as a paper champion his whole title reign. He has relied on Chris Jericho to help him retain his Universal Championship. If Jericho or Triple H does not interfere, there is no way Kevin Owens is going to defeat Roman Reigns at Roadblock. Roman Reigns is currently the United States Champion and that is the only thing preventing me from picking him this Sunday. I think the person that is going to take the Universal Championship from Owens will be Seth Rollins. I think Owens retains by getting himself disqualified, running out of the arena or outside interference.
Winner & Still Universal Champion: Kevin Owens

Monday Night Raw took place last night in Glasgow, Scotland. Raw is advertised as a wrestling show. My apologies, a “sports entertainment” show. The only problem with that is last night’s Raw contained less than 40 minutes of actual wrestling. One of the matches in the less than 40 minutes of in-ring action was between the Shining Stars and Golden Truth. Now, you can consider that a wrestling match. I’d like to call it a train wreck and a waste of everyone’s time. The crowd was silent for most of the match but mustered the energy to chant “boring!” in the middle of it.
Raw is supposed to be a three hour show but it typically goes about 15 minutes long. Lets just say that a typical episode of Monday Night Raw is between 180-190 minutes. It is completely ridiculous for a wrestling program of that length to have less than an hour of in-ring action. It could be excusable if the promos were actually entertaining. The issue is that they usually are mind-numbingly stupid and bore everyone to tears.
Last night, there was a 15 minute promo featuring the New Day dressed in kilts and bringing bagpipes down to the ring. I guess because the show was taped in Scotland that was supposed to be hilarious. Big E then recited a speech from the film Braveheart to pump up the Raw team for Survivor Series. The rest of the promo was everyone cracking jokes at the expense of Sheamus. The promo wound up leading to a quick match between the New Day and Gallows & Anderson. Amazingly, Gallows and Anderson picked up a clean victory over New Day. The WWE has conditioned their audience to view Gallows & Anderson as a joke for the past few months. All of the sudden, they are mowing through the Tag Team Champions. I don’t understand it but that is a whole other discussion.
The main point is that the match was short and hardly competitive. Big E was dominated throughout and the match. The only momentum the New Day had was when Kofi was tagged in and he got in some offense. Gallows & Anderson picked up a quick victory via the Magic Killer. There was no drama and nobody really had any reaction to Gallows & Anderson winning. It just seems like week after week, people are randomly winning matches and it is building towards absolutely nothing. The painfully unfunny promo that proceeded this match was four times as long as the match itself.
Every single promo feels like the Superstars are reading from a teleprompter. There is no life in anything they are saying. It is like the creative writing process in the WWE is to google corny jokes and assign a few of them to every Superstar to regurgitate during the show. R-Truth mistook Jimmy Buffett’s name to mean an actual buffet last night. Braun Strowman had to say the line “I’m on Team Braun!” and try to sound like a monster while doing so. It sounded ridiculous. Wouldn’t it have just been better if Strowman got up in Kevin Owens’ face and told him to get the hell out of his locker room?
Every single segment is overwritten. The idea may be humorous at first but it goes through a bunch of people with their own thoughts and what comes out is a watered down version of the original idea. There are no intense feuds anymore. The entire build to the Hell in a Cell PPV was based around jokes and lists. How was Seth Rollins going to defeat the chubby champion? Was sparkle crotch going to interfere? Rusev and Reigns had several lame promos in which people were getting tossed into a wedding cake or Rusev was showing a slideshow of his family. Meanwhile, the WWE was billing the Hell in a Cell as this demonic structure with a life of it’s own. How were people going to convince themselves they were going to see this brutal battles when the build to the show was the equivalent to a bunch of fart jokes?
I do not understand who the target audience is for Monday Night Raw. It can’t be wrestling fans because there is not enough wrestling. If it is children, why is the show three hours and what child is cracking up at a Jimmy Buffett joke? For that matter, what adult is cracking up at a Jimmy Buffett joke in 2016? It appears that the WWE is trying to cater their product to everyone. They are trying to produce a show that appeals to every gender and every age. I just picture a gigantic chart and empty suits placing segments on the chart. They put the Golden Truth in the kids section of the chart and then the main event in the adult section. They probably figure that by the time the main event airs most of the children will be asleep and the adults will be wide awake to see the match. The problem with that logic is that the ratings go down every hour because adults are changing the channel due to how awful the show is. In their quest to create a show that caters to everyone, what the WWE is left with is a show that very few people enjoy.
Monday’s RAW saw The New Day visit the Wyatt Family Compound, a segment that bore a striking resemblance to last week’s Final Deletion on TNA Impact involving Broken Matt and Brother Nero. Broken Matt took notice of the Wyatt Family Compound brawl, noting that his brilliance is trendsetting and now he has more Brother Neros to delete.
Tonight’s Destination X edition of Impact Wrestling will feature a new segment from Broken Matt’s home, with a promise that the Public Deletion is about to being. (Impact Preview)
Discussion: Which was the better segment – the Final Deletion or the Wyatt Family Compound? Which one did you enjoy more and which one do you think is better for business? An argument can be made that Final Deletion was far more entertaining, but Wyatt Family Compound was more serious and will actually lead to a high profile match that will draw money.
– A few quick notes for Extreme Rules. As you probably figured out by now, Intercontinental champion The Miz is scheduled to defend against Sami Zayn, Cesaro and Kevin Owens. There are also plans for a stipulation to be added to Dean Ambrose’s match against Chris Jericho. Extreme Rules takes place in less than two weeks on Sunday, 5/22 from Newark, New Jersey.
– No word yet on why Heath Slater was pulled from last Monday’s battle royal on RAW and then wasn’t ringside for Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings but he did not work this weekend’s house shows either.
– WWE tag team champions The New Day are now coming out with a giant box of Booty O’s at WWE live events.
– Amidst speculation that he could make his main roster debut tonight at Payback, former NXT Champion Finn Balor tweeted the following on Sunday evening. Balor has been rumored for a main roster callup some time ‘after WrestleMania.’ With Balor dropping the NXT title to Samoa Joe last week and the arrival of Gallows/Anderson, tonight would be an opportune time for him to show up.
– Don’t forget Camp WWE premieres tonight on the WWE Network immediately following Payback.
– SmackDown announcer Mauro Ranallo will be calling two matches on the WWE Payback Kickoff show: Kalisto’s US title defense against Ryback as well as Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin, which has been moved to the preshow.
Xavier Woods told IGN in a post-WrestleMania 32 interview that Kofi is the one who came up with their Dragon Ball Z-inspired outfits for the big pay-per-view. He says WWE trusts them more now than when they started to come up with their own outfits, and revealed what usually happens when Vince McMahon first sees one of their ideas up close.
“It’s funny, because we’ll always have some kind of harebrained idea, and then [Vince] sees it right before we go through the curtain, and just kind of gives a little grin and thumbs up,” Woods said.
“It’s to a point now where we kind of have a little bit more trust than we did when we started. And they know we’re not going to go out there and do something that’s going to mess up a sponsorship or anything like that. Things we do are going to do are going to be in-bounds for our PG parameters. Still be fine for kids, but then have something that’s a little bit for adults. We liken it to Shrek: we’re in PG parameters but there’s jokes in there for adults if you’re paying attention.”
WWE announced on Sunday afternoon that The New Day has been booked to defend their Tag Team Championships on Monday’s episode of RAW. The challengers will be Alberto Del Rio and Rusev of the League of Nations.
The March 14, 2016 edition of RAW is the first episode after WWE Roadblock, and takes place at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA. Shane McMahon and The Undertaker are both also being advertised for Monday’s show. We’ll have live results of the event right here on SEScoops.com.
BREAKING NEWS: #TheNewDay will defend their Tag Team Championships against @VivaDelRio and @RusevBUL TOMORROW NIGHT on @WWE#RAW!
IWGP Intercontinental Champion Kenny Omega is continuing to push for an inter-promotional super fight with WWE superstars The New Day. Along with The Young Bucks, Omega wants to put New Japan Pro Wrestling’s The Elite up against Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.
Last month after capturing the NEVER Openweight 6-man titles at the ROH vs. NJPW “Honor Rising” show from Tokyo, The Elite officially called New Day out. On Friday, this statement came out from Omega explaining why he wants to make this fight happen:
The New Day is working on a huge entrance for WrestleMania 32 that would involve (what else) – flying unicorns. The New Day wants “fly around the stadium on unicorns,” the Wrestling Observer reports
Last week, Big E told Guidelife.com teased that the tag team champions have something cooking, but they’re not sure its going to come together.
“Woods and Kofi were already telling people to look out for our entrance. So, I suppose our WrestleMania entrance is the big plan,” Big E said.
“There’s a good chance that it all gets nixed, and people are very disappointed, but we have something cooking.”
New Day’s light-up unicorn horns are back in stock on WWEShop.com after selling out several times.
WWE tag team champion Big E recently spoke with Guide Live to promote next month’s WrestleMania 32 pay-per-view. During the interview, Big E revealed that the New Day is working on something big for their entrance at WrestleMania, but they’re not 100% certain it’s going to take place.
“We’ve already kind of started getting people excited about our entrance – which I’ve kind of wanted to temper expectations, but we had some media hits this morning, and Woods and Kofi were already telling people to look out for our entrance. So, I suppose our WrestleMania entrance is the big plan. There’s a good chance that it all gets nixed, and people are very disappointed, but we have something cooking.”
He also revealed that there are two WrestleMania matches in particular that he’s most looking forward to.
“Shane and ‘Taker, for sure. I think that’s such an interesting matchup with so much on the line that a lot of people will have their eyes turned to that one. And also, I’m really excited to see what the women will do. I’m not sure what that match will be. If I had to guess, I’m assuming, possibly it looks like maybe we’re looking at a triple threat for the Divas title – Charlotte, Becky, and Sasha appears to be lining up. There’s a decent amount of pressure on those women with the whole ‘Diva’s Revolution.’ I think a lot of people are excited to see what they do to represent for all the talented women in wrestling.”

At Saturday’s ROH vs. NJPW “Honor Rising” show from Tokyo, Japan, The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) captured the NEVER Openweight 6-man tag titles from Toru Yano & The Briscoe Brothers. Backstage after the show, they issued a challenge to another popular 3-man faction, WWE tag team champions The New Day.
Also at Honor Rising Day 2, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson said farewell to New Japan Pro Wrestling. They are following AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura to WWE in the coming months.
A group of passionate WWE fans showed up to Monday’s RAW in Manchester, England dressed up in unicorn outfits to support WWE Tag-Team Champions The New Day.
The fans were told by security that the outfits were not allowed, however they ended up getting the outfits in the door anyways and noted on social media that they would be bringing them to WrestleMania 32 as well.
Below are a bunch of photos, as well as comments from all three New Day members.
