Nia Jax On Her Tribute To Roman Reigns At Evolution
We noted before how the Usos paid a tribute to Roman Reigns on SmackDown last week. Both Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka did something similar during Evolution.
Both were part of the Evolution Battle Royale. During the match, they did Roman’s signature ‘howl’ gesture as a tribute to the former Universal Champion:
After the show, Nia was interviewed backstage and talking about the spot, she said that Reigns’ battle with Leukemia wasn’t the only reason for this tribute. According to Nia Jax it was also a gesture of appreciation for always supporting the female wrestlers:
Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman Team Up After Raw
Both Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman were involved in different segments during the latest episode of Raw. While they didn’t wrestle on the show, the two Raw Stars teamed up after cameras stopped rolling.
They both faced Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in the dark main event and defeated the former Tag Champs to send the crowd home happy.
Braun Strowman will fight Brock Lesnar for the vacant Universal Championship at the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV while Seth Rollins will compete in the World Cup Tournament during the show

Nia Jax won the battle royal at Sunday’s (October 28, 2018) WWE Evolution pay-per-view event in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network. As a result of this win, she has earned the right to challenge for the Women’s Title at a later date.
Zelina Vega, Torrie Wilson, Asuka, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Lana, Carmella, Naomi, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Ember Moon, Dana Brooke, Tamina Snuka, Michelle McCool, WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze, WWE Hall of Famer Ivory, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, and Maria Kanellis also competed in the match.
It’s possible that Jax will challenge Ronda Rousey for the WWE RAW Women’s Title at the next WWE PPV event. The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets.
WWE could have Rousey and Nikki Bella continue their program after this show and book a rematch at Survivor Series which would delay Jax getting the title shot. Time will tell what WWE intends to do next.

– Not only did Ricochet celebrate his 30th birthday at last night’s NXT live event in Saint Charles, Missouri, he also debuted new ring gear. Instead of wearing long tights, the NXT North American Champion competed in traditional wrestling trunks.
– Nia Jax is wrestling at a house show tonight for the first time since her return from a reported leg injury on Raw on September 17. The former Raw Women’s Champion revealed on social media that she’s working this weekend’s tour starting with tonight’s show in Syracuse, New York.

Jax last wrestled at a house show on July 22 in Pikeville, Kentucky, losing to then-Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss in a Triple Threat Match that also included Natalya.
Nia Jax has spoken about various topics including who she would like to wrestle against at the upcoming Evolution pay-per-view event. The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion recently spoke withTV Insider to promote the return of Total Divas on the E! Network that aired on Wednesday.
Potential Match
Jax noted in this interview that she would be interested in teaming Tamina Snuka to face Natalya and Beth Phoenix at WWE Evolution because it would feature four powerful women and two powerhouse teams against each other.
Wanting to get back RAW Women’s Title
She had been out of action due to a leg injury but returned on this week’s RAW. Before this return, her last match came against Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event where she was unsuccessful in regaining the title in an extreme rules match. Now that Jax is back as a full-time in-ring competition, she has her sights set on getting back the Women’s Title and facing the champion, Ronda Rousey.
“I’ll be at Evolution for sure. Now people are saying I’m doing so well, I feel I owe it to them to keep it up. The pressure. I got to go get it back from Ronda.”
The Evolution pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and will air on the WWE Network.

Nia Jax made her in-ring return on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Dallas, TX at the American Airlines Center on the USA Network when she teamed with Ember Moon to defeat Mickie James and Alicia Fox in a tag team match. The reason for her absence was due to her being out of action with a leg injury.
Before this return, her last match came against Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on the WWE Network where she was unsuccessful in regaining the title in an extreme rules match.
WWE’s YouTube channel has released this video of Cathy Kelley talking with Jax about her return where she noted that the fans welcomed her back with such a loud cheer, which warmed her heart to hear.
Shinsuke Nakamura Doesn’t Recognize Rusev Day
WWE has already announced that Shinsuke Nakamura would be defending the United States Title against Rusev on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the BOK Center on the USA Network. To hype his next title defense, Nakamura sent out the following Twitter after the match was announced by SmackDown General Manager Paige.
He wrote, “The United States of #NakaMerica doesn’t recognize #RusevDay. But if Her Majesty pleases, I will gladly defend the #USTitle.”
A lot of people would think that being the Rock’s cousin would have helped Nia Jax to get into WWE but if we believe the WWE Star then it wasn’t the case, and she had asked his brother not to disclose their relation to anyone in the company.
Nia recently had an interview with Yahoo where she talked about how sports has helped her in loving her body, living her dream in WWE and more.
While talking about her WWE tryouts, the former Raw Women’s Champion revealed that she had asked the Rock to make sure nobody knew they were related because she wanted to have a fair shot:
“I specifically asked him, ‘Please make sure that nobody knows we’re related.’ I wanted to go in and have a fair shot. [when she got there] Every girl had makeup, hair done. I was like, Oh my gosh, I’m not going to get signed. I thought for sure they’d laugh me out of the building.”
Continuing on the topic, Nia Jax also recalled how WWE coaches told her that she was their top priority after the tryouts, and how she was not able to believe it.
As noted before, there were a lot of rumors about Nia’s recent absence from WWE programming but a recent report revealed that she is dealing with a leg injury.

There has been some speculation from fans as to why Nia Jax hasn’t been on WWE television as of late. The reason for her absence is due to her being out of action with a leg injury.
Since suffering the injury, she had been doing physical therapy on her leg. The latest news on Jax is from Pwinsider.com, which is reporting that she s now training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando this week. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when she’ll be back on the flagship show of the WWE, Monday Night RAW.
Her last match came against Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on the WWE Network.
If you recall, Jax started a feud with Ronda Rousey where they would later have a title match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event that would see Jax lose the title once Bliss interfered and cashed in her Money in the Bank contract that she had won earlier that night. This led to Bliss pinning Jax to win the title.
At Extreme Rules, she was unsuccessful in regaining the title in an extreme rules match and has not been seen on WWE television since.

During Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, Luke Gallows announced on Twitter that he and fellow Superstar Nia Jax are dating. WWE broadcaster Renee Young congratulated the couple and wrestling fans seemed to relish at this romantic pairing.
It almost seemed too good to be true. The idea of Gallows being romantic. The possibility of his courtship unfolding on a future season of Total Divas. Well, it now seems like we got worked and this whole love affair was a big ruse.
Just 24 hours after announcing that he was one half of WWE’s hottest new couple, Luke Gallows dropped a bombshell on Twitter. Citing the rigors of ‘high profile relationships,’ Gallows broke the news during Raw that his wild fling with Jax was just a #onedayrelationship.
The rigors of high profile relationships are grueling, it’s with a heavy heart that I have to announce that @NiaJaxWWE & I have mutually decided to part ways. Thank you for respecting our privacy during these trying times. #onedayrelationship#sadday
We’ll keep you posted if these two love birds ever link up again. You know how these volatile relationships can be. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Neither Luke Gallows nor Nia Jax competed at SummerSlam. Nia Jax lost the Raw Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank earlier this year to Alexa Bliss, who was cashing in the MITB briefcase she won previously that night. Jax was about to be locked in an armbar by Ronda Rousey at the time Bliss cashed in the briefcase.
Jax was given a rematch against Bliss at Extreme Rules but again lost to her longtime rival. She had previously defeated Bliss at both WrestleMania 34 and Backlash 2018.
As for Luke Gallows, the Club failed to defeat the Bludgeon Brother for the Smackdown tag-team championships on two successive occasions this year. The last time Gallows and Anderson wrestled was in a dark match on Tuesday night. They teamed with their fellow club member, AJ Styles, and defeated Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Samoa Joe after 205 Live.
We noted before how Nia Jax was tweeting during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw and she seemingly reacted to the announcement of Ronda Rousey’s singles Raw debut next week.
Jax has been away from the WWE programming since the Extreme Rules PPV and at the point; there was no news on why the company has kept her away from TV.
However, in a recent Instagram story, Nia noted that she is ‘reading and rehabbing’, seemingly indicating that she is suffering from an injury. There is no word yet on what kind of injury she is dealing with but we’ll keep you posted:
Top Ten Raw Moments
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured the return of the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and the former UFC Star Ronda Rousey among other things.
After the show, WWE released a top ten moments video from the Raw episode featuring the match between Braun Strowman and Jinder Mahal, Dolph Ziggler’s post-match attack on Seth Rollins and more.
The list which is topped by the main event segment featuring the Universal Champion where Lesnar F5ed Kurt Angle, can be seen below:
Its been a while since we’ve seen Nia Jax on WWE TV.
Jax’s last appearance came at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV). She lost her RAW Women’s Title rematch against Alexa Bliss. The RAW women’s division has since been dominated by a feud between Bliss and Ronda Rousey.
Next month at SummerSlam Rousey will challenge Bliss for the RAW Women’s Title. During last night’s episode of RAW, Jax Tweeted out the following – likely in response to being left off the show again:
Jax worked with Rousey at the Money In The Bank (MITB) PPV earlier this year. It was Rousey’s first WWE Title match of her career. Just when it looked like Rousey was on the verge of winning the title, Bliss attacked both women and cashed in her MITB briefcase.
She left Chicago as the new RAW Women’s Champion, setting up her current feud with the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion.
After staying away from programming for months, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar finally made his return to the WWE Television this week on Monday Night Raw.
The Beast was shown backstage a number of times before he came out in the final segment of the show and delivered an F5 to Raw General Manager Kurt Angle while also shoving Paul Heyman.
After the show went off air and Lesnar went backstage, Mike Rome tried to interview the Universal Champion and Brock said that he will kick Roman Reigns’ a*# at SummerSlam:
Nia Jax Reacts To Ronda Rousey Announcement?
Nia Jax has had a strange year with WWE where the former NXT Star has been featured on the programming on an irregular basis and it’s not clear if the company has any long-term plans for her.
Jax was last seen during the Extreme Rules PPV on July 15. She lost the Raw Women’s Championship to Alexa Bliss on the night and there is no word yet on why she has been kept off TV since then.
Though while Nia was not on Raw, she was tweeting during the show. She posted the following eye rolling gif after WWE made the Ronda Rousey vs. Alicia Fox match official and it’s believed to be her reaction to the announcement:
– WWE has launched a new line of T-shirts that are specifically designed to enhance a women’s figure.
Calling it the “Curvy Collection,” WWE’s new Curvy Fit Women’s T-shirts are “softly shaped to complement a plus-sized woman’s curves – making it perfect for lounging around the house or wearing out on the town.”
The line features Nia Jax, Ronda Rousey, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, AJ Styles, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton.
Jax reacted to the news with the following:
I’m beyond happy that this is now a thing!! I’m glad we are including all shapes and sizes ??? https://t.co/GpdHyAlji4

– Former WWE star Chris Nowinski was backstage at Raw on Monday at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. In this Instagram post, he mentions catching up with Natalya.

– Tucker Knight is now on Instagram @tuckerknightwwe. The official Instagram account of WWE NXT is following Knight, thus confirming its legitimacy.
The WWE Raw Women’s Championship match set to take place at Extreme Rules was spiced up with the Extreme Rules stipulation yesterday, and the challenger Nia Jax has some thoughts about it that she shared on her Twitter:
It isn’t about just about winning the #Raw Women’s Championship back. It’s about putting an end to this. An #ExtremeRules Match means I can use ANY means to make you pay for what you’ve done. This ends the #MomentOfBliss.
Cody Rhodes revealed on Twitter that Deonna Purrazzo will not be making an appearance at the All In event after he was asked who she was going to face. Deonna Purrazzo is currently signed to WWE’s developmental territory NXT.

Deonna is unable to do All In. We love her. She’s phenomenal. She’s kicking ass/breaking arms no matter where you see her.
At Extreme Rules on July 15th, 2018, Alexa Bliss will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Nia Jax. Last night on Raw, it was announced that the match between Bliss and Jax will be an Extreme Rules match.
Renee Young caught up with Bliss backstage to get her comments on the news.
“I’m fine, I’m happy it’s an extreme rules match,” Bliss said. “You being nervous, because I can tell your nervous and it’s really throwing me off.”
Not long after the show ended, Bliss Tweeted out the following:
I have turned every single opportunity into a championship. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I hope everyone enjoys this long, wonderful #MomentOfBliss…because it’ll only continue after #ExtremeRules.

“I have turned every single opportunity into a championship. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I hope everyone enjoys this long, wonderful #MomentOfBliss…because it’ll only continue after #ExtremeRules.”
Rousey has been counting down the days until her suspension is over and she can get her hands on little Miss Bliss.
Also announced last night on Raw, Ronda Rousey will be front row for the match between Bliss and Jax. Raw General Manager, Kurt Angle, suspended Rousey for 30 days from Raw but evidently, Rousey will be in attendance in Pittsburgh on July 15th. This was revealed recently via a WWE.com interview given by Rousey.
Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss have wrestled each other on television 5 times previously. Bliss won the first match by DQ, Jax won the next 3, and then Bliss technically defeated Jax at Money in the Bank after cashing in her newly won briefcase.
Bliss is the most successful Raw women’s champion of all-time. She’s held the title for 351 combined days across 3 reigns. That’s over 100 days longer than the next person on the list, Charlotte Flair. Jax’s one reign with the title lasted 70 days, the shortest in the title’s lineage. Only 5 people (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Alexa Bliss) have ever held the championship.
What do you think of the Alexa Bliss/Nia Jax/Ronda Rousey angle? Let us know in the comments section below.
Last year in August current RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss teamed up with Nia Jax at a Live Event. Little did they know that one of the most viral videos of the year in professional wrestling would be recorded after their match.
When the match was over Jax slung Bliss over her shoulder and carried her backstage. As she was being carried backstage a young WWE fan managed to slap Bliss on the butt. Jax’s reaction was priceless but we couldn’t really see how Bliss reacted to the slap.
In a recent interview with GiveMeSport, Bliss detailed her reaction after what had happened. Bliss asked Jax if it was her who had done it, and Jax told Bliss it was a kid from the crowd. They pair laughed things off backstage and didn’t seem to make a big deal of it:
“Well when had happened- I asked Nia because she was carrying me over her shoulders. I was like ‘Was that you?’ and she was like ‘No!’ And like we just walked back and laughed it off.
“But it was still one of those… I was very shocked it happened. I was like “Oh my gosh, was that you?” and she was like “No!” It was just a little kid, kids do what they want.”
Nia Jax reflected on her biggest moment thus far in her career with the WWE.
During a recent interview with KUSI Newsto to promote this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center on the USA Network, Jax talked about various topics including her match at WrestleMania 34.
If you recall, she beat Alexa Bliss to win the RAW Women’s Title at the show that took place in April. She gave The Rock credit for getting her into the pro wrestling business after watching him wrestle John Cena at WrestleMania 28 in Miami, Florida a few years ago.
She spoke about her WrestleMania match against Bliss where she noted that she was not expecting to win the title that night.
“To be able to go to WrestleMania in New Orleans, and the crowd is so hot and it’s so much fun” said Jax. “I didn’t expect to win that night, and when I was told that I was winning, and I [hit] the Samoan Drop off the second [rope], emotions just came over me and I just balled my eyes out and looked like a hot mess.” She also credits The Rock’s mom as she noted that she was the person who inspired her to start working for the sports entertainment company. “She was the one who actually told me that the company needs somebody like me to be here to show young boys and girls that no matter what size, shape, race, color, you should be following your dreams,” Jax said.
Jax will have her rematch against Bliss at the upcoming Extreme Rules event for the RAW Women’s Title. H/T to Wrestling Inc for the transcribed quotes.

Prior to his WWE release, former Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was scheduled to be current RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax’s Mixed Match Challenge partner. Unfortunately Amore fell ill just before he needed to film a bunch of footage for the Facebook show and was replaced by Apollo Crews.
WWE teased a romantic relationship between Jax and Amore on TV for a few weeks. The conclusion to the angle between Amore and Jax was never brought to light, however, as he was subsequently released by the company. Amore recently appeared on the Store Horseman podcast to discuss this.
The Realest Guy In The Room revealed the conclusion would have resulted in Jax finding out that he was hooking up with Alexa Bliss on the side:
“I was getting so much heat it was awesome that people probably won’t appreciate it until five, ten years from now,” Amore said. “Like a babyface transition that I made and on a marketing level too it was crazy and Vince wanted me in that grey area though. He didn’t want me full-blown. He had plans to make me full-blown that nobody else knew about, not even the other people that were involved in it.
“I mean look at that Nia / Alexa Bliss WrestleMania blow-off. What do you think was gonna happen? How else could I get full-blown heat? Enzo Amore with the grey area trying to get full-blown heel real, real f–king heat. How do you do that? I’m using Nia as a heater to keep my title and I get caught hooking up with her best friend backstage. Bang, that’s how you do it. Nia didn’t know that. Alexa didn’t know it. I knew that because Vince told me […] I was just toying along with her I wanted her to win me matches, I wanted her to be like Chyna.

The RAW Women’s Title was on the line last night during WWE’s Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) when champion Nia Jax defended her title against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
It was Rousey’s first singles match on WWE TV. To many’s surprise, both Rousey and Jax performed quite impressively. The action was fairly entertaining and well executed, with the exception of Rousey accidentally falling outside of the ring through the ropes.
Of course, their success was short-lived as Women’s MITB briefcase holder Alexa Bliss cashed in after attacking both Rousey and Jax. She won the RAW Women’s Title after hitting Twister Bliss on Jax.
According to sources backstage at the event, both Rousey and Jax received standing ovations when coming back through the curtain after their match.
Both Jax and Rousey certainly put on the best performances of their respective careers. Jax did an exceptional job of guiding Rousey through her first singles match, and The Rowdy One certainly impressed for it being her first one-on-one opportunity inside the squared circle.
Discussion: How did you feel about Jax and Rousey’s match last night?
Last night in Chicago, Nia Jax defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey. It looked as though Rousey was en route to winning the title as she locked-in the armbar but Alexa Bliss interfered causing the match to be thrown out.
After insuring Rousey was taken out, Bliss then cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Bliss was easily able to defeat an injured Jax to win back the Raw Women’s Championship. She is now a 3x Raw Women’s Champion and a 2x Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Jax Tweeted out the following not long after Money in the Bank ended:
Not the ending I was hoping for, but can’t help but be proud of what @RondaRousey & I accomplished tonight. She is the REAL DEAL! #MITB
“Not the ending I was hoping for, but can’t help but be proud of what @RondaRousey & I accomplished tonight. She is the REAL DEAL!”
Raw Women’s Championship
Only 5 people have held the Raw Women’s Championship since its inception at WrestleMania 32 on April 3rd, 2016.
Bliss is the all-time most decorated champion in the title’s lineage, having held the belt for a combined 336 days. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks have each won the title 4x but their title reigns have not been as lengthy. Flair has held the title a combined 246 days and Sasha Banks only 84 days. Bayley has held the title once and dropped it after 76 days. Nia Jax’s only run with the belt concluded last night after 70 days.
Nia Jax was portraying the character of a bullied babyface during her feud with Alexa Bliss; however, she has started showing colors of a heel after the announcement of her Money In The Bank match against Ronda Rousey.
This behavior from the Raw Women’s Champion has confused people and many wonder if the former NXT Star should be considered a heel or a babyface.
During a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Nia answered the question everyone has in mind, and when asked if she is a heel or a face, the Champion said that she is simply Nia Jax:
“It’s funny because everyone is asking ‘Oh my God, is she heel or is she face?’ Nia Jax is Nia Jax. That’s something that I have been trying to get across. I am who I am in the moment. I’m not a heel, I’m not a babyface, I’m Nia Jax.”
Continuing on the topic, Jax explained how everybody is in love with Rousey already despite the fact that she is so new in the business and while it may be seen as a heel or cocky maneuver, Jax said that she has worked hard and is pretty darn good herself too.
Apart from this, Nia also talked about having her weight announced before every match, her upcoming bout with Ronda Rousey and more. You can check out her full interview here.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax is preparing for the biggest match thus far in her pro wrestling career.
The sports entertainment company has already announced that Rousey is slated to challenge Jax for the RAW Women’s Title at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena, which will air on the WWE Network.
Jax was interviewed at the WWE For Your Consideration 2018 Emmy nomination campaign.
During the interview, Jax was asked about facing the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion for the strap at this event. She explained the importance of it by stating the following (transcript courtesy ofWrestlinginc.com):
“It puts everything into perspective, I used to watch Ronda Rousey kill it in the UFC and she’s considered the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’ and now I get to face her, I challenged her for [the title] at WWE Money in the Bank,” Jax said. “It gives me goosebumps about what’s going to happen and I don’t even know what’s going to happen.”
Although Jax rose to the top of the women’s division on the red brand quickly, she still has several stars she would like to work with both on the main roster and in NXT.
“I’d love to work with Charlotte Flair, she’s the best athlete in our company,” Jax responded. “Some girls down in NXT, we have Bianca Belair and Aliyah. One of the newcomers, Ember Moon, she’s killing it as well. Anybody from the Riott Squad.”

One segment and two matches have been announced for next Monday’s WWE RAW.
The sports entertainment company has announced that there will be a face to face segment in the ring between Ronda Rousey and WWE RAW Women’ Champion Nia Jax to promote their title match at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event later this month.
Also, Alexa Bliss vs. Natalya vs. Sasha Banks vs. Ember Moon, as well as Bobby Roode vs. Finn Balor vs. Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens in Fatal 4-Way Matches, have been confirmed for the flagship show of the WWE.
WWE holds next week’s show in Little Rock, AR at the Verizon Arena. As of this writing, no other matches for RAW have been announced.
What are your thoughts on these matches? Sound off in the comment section below.
The baddest woman on the planet has her first singles title match at MITB, but WWE officials are reportedly not sold that she’s ready to be working full-length singles matches.
Original Plans For European Tour
With the European tour behind us, it was originally planned for Rousey to face Mickie James during the duration of the tour. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials felt that Rousey was “not ready” for singles competition and opted to stick her in six women tag matches for the remaining tour.
Rousey was scheduled to face Mickie James in singles matches on the WWE European tour that just wrapped up but plans changed at the last minute and Rousey teamed with Ember Moon and Natalya to defeat Mickie, Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan in six-woman matches. Dave Meltzer said that the matches were changed because officials did not feel like Rousey was ready for a singles match with Mickie.
What’s next for Rousey?
With that in mind, it seems that the WWE has jumped the gun by placing Rousey in a title match at MITB. While her Wrestlemania/in-ring debut was considered a classic by many, that match was a mix-tag and included great ring technicians such as Kurt Angle and Triple H but, was heavily scripted move for move. Her singles debut against Nia Jax is expected to draw attention due to the fact that John Cena or Brock Lesnar are not on the card.
While there is some time between now and MITB, it will be interesting to see how Rousey will fair against the current Raw Women’s Champion.
– Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax are doing their best to get fans invested in their match.
The sports entertainment company has already announced that Rousey is slated to challenge Jax for the RAW Women’s Title at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event.
Following their staredown on this week’s episode of RAW, Rousey and Jax took to their Instagram accounts to hype the upcoming match.
