WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan recently took to Twitter to pay tribute to a ‘late’ celebrity, but it turns out that celebrity is still alive. Hogan posted a photo of Jackass star, professional skateboarder, and Viva La Bam star Bam Margera.
He captioned the photo saying “Damn Bam I wish you were still with us, I sure would love to hang out again my brother love u miss u HH”
Hogan mistakingly confused Margera with Ryan Dunn, Margera’s best-friend and Jackass co-star who in fact did pass away tragically back in 2011 in a car accident:
Hogan has since deleted the Tweet and his follow-up Tweet apologizing for the mistake.
Identity Of Nia Jax’s RAW Opponent:
The jobber working against RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax on last night’s episode of RAW was Madi Maxx. She also bills herself as “The Paris Hilton of Pro Wrestling.” She went under the name Michelle Webb on RAW and claimed to be a Judo champion.
Ronda Rousey is set to challenge for her first title in WWE, when she takes on Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Title at the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) later next month. Last night on RAW, Commissioner Stephanie McMahon hosted the contract signing between the two.
McMahon was able to manipulate Jax and Rousey into turning on each other and getting a bit hostile. Both women exchanged some heated words before shaking hands and starring down.
On Instagram earlier today, The Rowdy One had some strong words for the RAW Women’s Champ ahead of their match:
The B-Team has been causing quite the stir on Monday Night RAW. They seem to have caught the attention of one-half of the Monday Night RAW Tag Team Champions, Matt Hardy. They got into the following exchange on Twitter last night:
[EXCLUSIVE VIDEO] B-Team, be careful what you wish for..
The B in B-Team will ultimately stand for DELETE, you PUSILLANIMOUS PHARISEES. Myself & @WWEBrayWyatt are holding plots for both of you at The Hardy Compound’s Land of OBSOLETE Men. https://t.co/2mfUezBDY2pic.twitter.com/Rl8v7VZggY
The early betting odds have been released for Ronda Rousey’s second match on WWE PPV.
It’s been well established that the sports entertainment company has already announced that Rousey is slated to challenge Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Title at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. The odds are listing Jax as a -140 favorite against Rousey.
The Money in the Bank pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both RAW and SmackDown brands will be featured. Here is the updated card:
– Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Braun Strowman vs. Finn Balor vs. The Miz vs. Rusev vs. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Roode
– Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Ember Moon vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch
As we’ve previously reported, RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax will defend her title against Ronda Rousey at the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) next month in Chicago.
Charlotte Flair Tweeted out the following in reaction to the announcement, warning both women to be prepared for when she wins the Women’s MITB Ladder match:
Witnessing history. Glad to say I got to see this up close! But both of you ladies need to be prepared for when I win that #MITB contract. ? #RondavsNiahttps://t.co/945j9t7VEf
AJ Styles & Shinsuke Nakamura Hype Stipulation Match (Video)
Tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live will feature a non-WWE Title match between champion AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. The winner will select the stipulation for their WWE Title match at the MITB PPV.
Both Styles and Nakamura posted videos on WWE’s Twitter account hyping the match-up tonight. Check them out here:
Styles and Nakamura first fought it out at WrestleMania 34 this past April. Styles won that match-up but was assaulted by Nakamura afterwards. At the Greatest Royal Rumble they rematched, but that ended in a double count-out and resulted in Styles assaulting Nakamura after the match in return.
At Backlash last week, Styles and Nakamura put on what was probably their best match against each other in WWE. That ended in another double count-out, as neither men could get to their feet and answer the referee’s 10 count after exchanging low blows. It should be interesting to see how things shake out at MITB next month.
Tonight (Mon. May 12, 2018) WWE Monday Night RAW is going down from the O2 Arena in London, England. There are some Money In The Bank (MITB) Ladder match qualifying matches set to go down, in addition to Roman Reigns confronting Jinder Mahal.
It looks like, however, RAW could be missing one of its title-holders tonight. RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax was sent home early from the WWE’s European Tour, sparking some speculation that she could be hurt.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reports that Jax is fine and instead has some media obligations she needed to attend to in New York. Of course, that turned out to be true, as Jax is in New York for the NBCUniversal Upfronts.
Nia Jax is ready to give Ronda Rousey real welcome to the WWE – by giving her a title shot.
On Monday as part of the NBC upfront presentations that included the WWE, Jax revealed that she will face Rousey at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event on June 17.
The two superstars were actually next to each other on the red carpet during the presentation where the revelation was made that Jax challenged Rousey to a match in June.
“We are very civil and professional ladies, so Nia did just challenge me for Money in the Bank to come after her title,” Rousey told E! News on Monday. “I happily oblige respectfully, so I can sit next to her.
“We’re professionals, so when we get in there, there’s a job to be done. We’re outside of the ring, then we can still be respectful to each other. We all have the same goals. We’re all trying to lift the women’s division and to show people that we have more to offer than they’ve given us credit for in the past.”
Jax doubled down in the respect shared with Rousey when they’re both in public but she promises that will all change once they step into the ring together at Money in the Bank.
“We can still get along for now, but once we get in the ring, it’s over. All bets are off, right?” Jax added.
“I’ve never been in a ring with somebody like Ronda. She’s one of a kind, so there definitely has to be an alternation to my regimen and I’m looking forward to it.”
It’s been an incredibly fast rise for Rousey after signing to join WWE earlier this year after giving up her previous career in mixed martial arts. Rousey shined in a mix-tag team match at WrestleMania 34 where she teamed with RAW general manager Kurt Angle in a bout against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
After the show was over, the match was hailed as the best for the entire event despite Rousey’s relative naivety when it comes to professional wrestling.
Now it appears WWE is looking to push Rousey directly into title contention without having a single’s match on her resume.
WWE Money in the Bank goes down on June 17 from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
What do you think about Ronda Rousey getting a title shot against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank? Sound off in the comments to let us know!
WWE reported Sunday night that Alexa Bliss suffered a shoulder injury. Bliss lost a WWE Raw Women’s Championship match at Backlash to Nia Jax. Sources also stated that the injury was legitimate and not a part of a storyline.
Bliss’ shoulder was scheduled to be further evaluated at Raw on Monday. Speculation is that Bliss’ shoulder was not as bad as originally believed as Nia Jax stated on Twitter she’s scheduled for the upcoming European tour.
Haha!! If you haven’t heard. Alexa is perfectly fine. She couldn’t beat me in the ring, so she blamed it on a fake injury. Trust me, she is perfectly fine. She’s scheduled to be on tour, so you and all your troll friends can come worship your coward goddess. https://t.co/kor5YAeOLX
It’s really tough to determine who is bullying who in this storyline sometimes.
Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax
Alexa Bliss reported to the WWE Performance Center in 2013. Nia Jax would do the same the following year. Throughout that time, Bliss and Jax developed a friendship which has been referenced on WWE programming frequently.
At WrestleMania 34, Nia Jax defeated her friend to win her first ever WWE championship. For two wrestlers who went through the WWE developmental process together, wrestling in that match against one another would have been a special achievement for both.
Backlash 2018 was the 4th singles match the two have had against one another. Despite going through NXT together, they never wrestled each other on the brand. Here are the results from the 4 head-to-head matches between rivals/friends Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax:
Monday Night Raw June 5th, 2017 WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Alexa Bliss (c) defeated Nia Jax via DQ
Monday Night Raw September 18th, 2017
Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss
WrestleMania 34 April 8th, 2018 WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss (c) (new champion)
Backlash 2018
May 6th, 2018 WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Nia Jax (c) defeated Alexa Bliss
The only time Alexa Bliss has defeated Nia Jax was via DQ. Other than that, Nia Jax has won every match the two have had.
It will be interesting to see who gets the next shot at Nia Jax’s title. If Bliss isn’t injured she could still be in the running, though after dropping her title rematch it could be time for a new challenger to emerge.
You may recall back in in October 2017, Nia took a hiatus from WWE. Aa report by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated fueled rumors that she was unhappy with her role in the company, was considering leaving even said that her cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson advised her to walk out. Jax was back again on RAW after some time and is now setting the record straight about what actually happened.
The RAW Women’s Champion spoke with PopCulture.com this week and called BS on the whole narrative. Jax adamantly denies she took time off due to creative and says it’s crazy to think The Rock got involved in her fictional spat with the company.
“That was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard,” she said. “The fact that people would think that Dwayne would ever tell me to not do something for the WWE, a place that’s actually given him his start and the reason he is on top of the world, it’s completely false and hilarious,” she laughed.
The actual reason why Jax took a leave of absence was because of an injury she sustained on a flight when a bag fell on her head. “I had actually had an injury that happened to me personally on a flight—an overhead bag fell directly on top of my head while I was on a plane. I was out of it, I was completely out of it. I’m not kidding you,” she explained.
“It was just something where I had to go and make sure I was okay and rest up. It was right before a tour. All it was, was just like, ‘Hey, you’re not the storyline right now. Go take a break. Make sure you’re okay, and then come back for tour.’ That was it. That was the bottom line. That was the story,” she emphasized.
Nia Jax defends the RAW Women’s Championship this Sunday against Alexa Bliss at Backlash.
The advertised main event for last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW from Montreal, Canada was a Six Man Tag Team match between Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe, Sheamus and Cesaro.
The entire team of Joe, Sheamus, and Cesaro are now on SmackDown Live by way of the Superstar Shake-Up. Instead, Seth Rollins got on the mic after successfully defending his Intercontinental Title against Finn Balor.
The entire Bell Centre was chanting “Thank you Rollins” as he stood in the ring. Rollins said that he wasn’t lying earlier in the night when he said the travel his job requires is strenous, and he wasn’t lying when he said there’s nowhere else he’d rather be. He then said the WWE Universe is like family and they make the ring feel like home.
After winning the RAW Women’s Title from Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34 earlier last month in New Orleans, Nia Jax has finally received her custom title plates. Jax will defend her RAW Women’s Title against Bliss at Backlash this weekend:
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax made an appearance on the In This Corner podcast prior to her match with Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania 34 this past Sunday. Jax first discussed finding herself as a character in WWE and the company not having anyone like her before:
“When I grew up, I always watched the amazing women, and you’re right— I didn’t just have anyone to kind of be like ‘I want to be exactly like her’ —but I think right now within the company and with NXT, I was able to grow and figure out myself.
“I’m still, Nia Jax is still finding herself, but it’s cool because I love to show all kinds of boys, girls, men, women, you should always embrace who you are. Never allow astigmatism, or the popular thing to define you. So I’m really excited that I get to create something different and new, and hopefully continue to evolve.”
Despite their current relationship on WWE TV, Jax and Alexa Bliss are actually very good friends behind-the-scenes. She talked about being a “homegrown” WWE talent and coming up alongside Bliss in WWE:
“It’s crazy because I didn’t even think of it that way. I don’t know if you heard, but [Alexa Bliss] worked my tryout, so that’s where I first met her and we instantly connected, or I harassed her until she became my friend. [laughs]
“It’s really cool because when you walk into something so big— the [WWE] Performance Center is outstanding, you know if you haven’t been there, and I’m sure you’ve seen videos of it—it is so cool. It is an honor to walk through those doors, and when you take your first bump or do your first flip, you’re just thinking like ‘oh my gosh, how am I going to get to a full match or for ten minutes, let alone 30 minutes?
“You’re right because we are an exact product of NXT and WWE. That’s actually something that when I had tried out—I was originally going to go work with the Wild Samoans, with Afa—my cousin had said ‘you need to go actually try out for WWE because they have their own way.’ So when I did, thankfully they liked me, and the rest is kind of history now.”

Currently Jax and Bliss are embroiled in a feud with one another on WWE TV, and a large part of that storyline involves Little Miss Bliss poking fun at Jax’s size. Jax believes the reason the feud has done so well is because it’s such a relatable story:
“I appreciate the love and the reactions that they give me. When you’re initially a heel, it’s easier to be a heel. I’d rather people hate me than try to get them to love me. I’m the same way, if someone tries to force me or anything, I’m like ‘no, back up’. I love the fact that the fans have reacted so well to this story because it is such a relatable story.
“Everybody at one point in their time has experienced it on either end. I feel like this is why people are relating to it better and reacting to it and having such a —it’s funny because a lot of young kids are like ‘thank you so much for actually telling this story, because this is what I’m going through.’ They get to see me face my bully.”
Jax was then asked about her “relationship” with WWE commentator Byron Saxton. Saxton has quite the infatuation with Jax, as has been profiled on WWE Network shows such as “Ride Along.”:
“Byron Saxton is creepy. He has a relationship between me and him going on in his head. I’m not included in this personally, like I am but I’m not. He has a weird fetish with my feet, he loves to call me different kinds of names like ‘Samoan Sweetcake’ and ‘Twinkle Toes’. It goes on from there.
“I can’t respond to him, I barely open up his messages. He creeps me out.”
You can listen to Jax’s full interview on the In This Corner podcast by clicking this link here.
Last night at WrestleMania, WWE Champion AJ Styles defended his title against 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura in a “dream match” for the WWE Universe. Despite all the hype and the potential, the match has received mixed reviews from fans and pundits alike. Many described the match as slow paced without the drama and excitement Styles and Nakamura’s matches are typically known for.
While the finish was pretty creative, there weren’t any huge false finishes, ridiculous high spots, or anything else that knocked fans’ socks off. There was actually a “boring” chant from the crowd during the match. The match’s placement on the near seven hour card didn’t help matters much either, as crowd fatigue set in mid-way through the marathon show.
Nakamura’s surprise attack on Styles after the match signifies a heel turn from the Japanese Superstar and likely the continuation of this program.
– Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss last night at WrestleMania 34 to become the new RAW Women’s Champion. This comes after weeks of Bliss bullying Jax for being and looking different.
WWE posted a video of Jax after her win, who said she’s happy with the message the match sends out to young boys and girls – not to take crap from people who make you feel insecure about yourself:
– Below is the latest episode of WWE Playback with Paul Heyman re-watching Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title from WrestleMania 33:
– Kane, Aiden English, Curt Hawkins, Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable are now official for the fifth annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34. Below is the updated list of confirmed participants:
* Kane, Aiden English, Curt Hawkins, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, Primo Colon, Zack Ryder, Rhyno, Heath Slater, Goldust, Matt Hardy, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Tye Dillinger, Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Mojo Rawley, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, TBA
– Natalya revealed on Twitter that she’s filming a “Table For 3” episode with Nia Jax and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix in New Orleans. As noted, WWE will be filming several specials for the WWE Network this weekend. Natalya tweeted:
WWE RAW Superstar Nia Jax has been quickly moved up the ladder in WWE. She was positioned as a big star while she was competing in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, and when she was called up to the main roster. Slowly but surely she has gone from beating jobbers to being a big name in the women’s division on the RAWbrand.
Jax was recently interviewed by the Mirror. During the interview, she spoke about WWE using real-life issues like body-shaming in her feud with Alexa Bliss.
Jax is slated to challenge her best friend for the RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania 34 next month. Here is what she had to say:
“I think it’s amazing. I think it’s something that people know but they don’t want to talk about it, they always want to keep it hidden. I feel like we’re tackling it head-on and it should be [tackled]. Young women and young girls, and boys, should actually be hearing this and seeing the conflict that we go through and seeing somebody stand up for themselves and not have to allow somebody to bully them, because of the way they look, what their shape is, or the color of their skin is. You should always stand up for yourself. So I think it’s amazing. I’m very honored to be a part of it.”
She added, “Oh yeah. You know, growing up… it’s crazy how real this storyline is to my real life. And especially with Alexa being such a close, best friend of mine for so long, she has seen it. She [her character] has hurt me [my character], because I’ve confided in a lot of these stories that have happened to me. It surprises me that it has become such a big storyline in WWE, because it relates to me completely.
Jax has been quickly moved up the ladder in WWE. She was positioned as a big star while she was competing in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, and even when she was called up to the main roster.
Slowly but surely she has gone from beating jobbers to being a big name in the women’s division on the RAW brand. Jax recently spoke with Planeta Wrestling to talk about various topics. During the interview, she was asked about possibly being drafted to SmackDown during the Superstar Shakeup, which is rumored to take place at the upcoming Backlash pay-per-view event in May.
”I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I think SmackDown is filled with talented people. I personally enjoy watching the show on that side. There are a lot of female Superstars that I would like to work with. It would be great to go over there and switch it up. I wouldn’t mind it at all.”
Jax is slated to challenge Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34. Although the sports entertainment company has yet to finalize the match order of this event, she was asked about her take on potentially working the pre-show instead of being positioned on the main card.
“That is obviously not the ideal position that you would want to be in, but to be fair, our show is watched all around the world by millions of people, and I am pretty sure a lot of people would still catch us on the pre-show. It’s an honor to be on the card, period, but I definitely feel that the women have earned a shot on the main card. I don’t think that’ll be happening this year.”
Future advertising for upcoming WWE live events may have revealed who Asuka is slated to feud with after WrestleMania 34.
Asuka signed with WWE in 2015 and was sent to developmental in NXT. In April of 2016 at NXT TakeOver: Dallas Asuka defeated Bayley to win the NXT Women’s Championship. She continued to dominate her opponents in NXT and extended her vicious undefeated streak to over 500 days. The sports entertainment company made the decision to call her up to the main event roster and place her on the flagship show of the company, Monday Night Raw, last September.
Moving to January, she would win the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match. Now, she is slated to challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania 34.
WWE is advertising Asuka vs. Nia Jax for live events after WrestleMania including the live event on Sunday, May 27th at the Hampton Coliseum, Hampton, VA.
As always, the card is subject to change for WWE events.
– WWE Superstar Braun Strowman took to Twitter to thank 2018 WWE Hall Of Fame inductee Mark Henry for helping him break into the business of professional wrestling:
– As noted on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW by General Manager Kurt Angle, RAW Women’ Champion Alexa Bliss will defend her title against Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34. The ex-best friends took to Twitter to hype their upcoming bout in New Orleans:
I made you something and I’m gonna take it all away from you. You think you can take the #Raw Women’s Championship from me? Ha! Rude. #GoddessAboveAll
— Lexi (Kaufman) Cabrera (@AlexaBliss_WWE) March 20, 2018
They’ll tell you… Not to try. Not to dream. Not to be yourself.
– WWE posted a video of Seth Rollins doing an interview with Mike Rome after saving Finn Balor from The Miztourage on RAW. Rollins will challenge Balor and Intercontinental Champion The Miz for the strap in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania. Rollins says Balor owes him one and also said he wants a rematch with Balor before WrestleMania:
– While Dave Meltzer was discussing this week’s Mixed Match Challenge match on Wrestling Observer Radio, there was some speculation that Titus Worldwide could be over. Here’s what Meltzer had to say:
“I don’t know if Titus Worldwide is over but they certainly gave the impression that it could be. Apollo pretty much turned on Titus and Dana Brooke got destroyed by Nia Jax. We’ll have to see how that all plays out on RAW next Monday.”
Most angles from the Mixed Match Challenge don’t usually cary over into RAW or SmackDown, but Meltzer suggested this looks like a turn:
“He definitely didn’t turn badly on Titus but he definitely turned on him.”
Check out the segment here:
– Also on the mailbag portion of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer was asked about the possibility of having an NXT match on the WrestleMania 34 card. Meltzer said that due to the fact NXT TakeOver happens the night before he doubts an NXT match or NXT Title match will be put on the Mania card:
“I seriously doubt it now. They aren’t going to have enough time for what they need to have. It’s going to be one of those 7-hour shows and an NXT show the night before anyways. I would really would be surprised if they did that. They may have someone from NXT in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal or something. If they have a Women’s Battle Royal, they may have a few NXT women in there as well. As far as NXT Championship matches, I would think no.”
WWE Superstar Nia Jax recently did an interview with Dave LaGreca and Mark Henry on Busted Open Radio yesterday. During the interview Jax was asked about her thoughts on former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey signing with WWE. Jax said she’s excited for Rousey coming to WWE and claimed she’s a big part of the women’s revolution:
“I’m very excited. Ronda Rousey was a huge part in the women’s revolution around the world and part of the WWE and now she’s coming to the WWE. It’s going to be absolutely amazing. She’s so talented and has so many things to bring to us. It’s literally going to expand the women’s division and people don’t realize how much she’s going to bring to us and how far it’s going to take us. I personally am very excited for her to come. She’s willing to put in the hard work.
“I’ve seen her put in the hard work in the UFC and how hard she worked to get to where she got. I know she’s going to prove herself in the WWE. I’m very excited to step in the ring with her and see what we can do together. I have nothing but positive things to say for anyone who wants to come to the WWE because it is not an easy place to get into and not an easy place to get through, so if you feel like you can make it here and get through, I say welcome. Let’s do it.”
When Rousey does finally get to the WWE locker room, however, Jax said that the former Olympic Judoka needs to show respect:
“Respect is #1 in this business. You definitely have to walk into the door with a lot of respect: a lot of eye contact, a lot of handshakes, introducing yourself. We are a very tight-knit family at WWE. We are very protective of our family. When an outsider comes in, you want to make sure the outsider is worthy to step into the family. When Sasha Banks says she had nothing nice to say (on a previous episode of Busted Open), it’s not necessarily that she wants to go out and be mean, but rather making sure that this outsider is worthy to step into her family.”
Jax revealed that John Cena vs. The Rock at WrestleMania 28 was her inspiration for becoming a professional wrestler:
“I got to sit front row with my aunt and watch Dwayne and just see the energy not just in the ring, but the fans. At the end of the day, they are what make us who we are, and just seeing their energy and passion that they had watching that match is what gave me the bug. I said ‘oh my god, I want to do this. I want to put on a great match and I want these people to be interested in what I’m doing’.”
She also explained how impressed she was with Seth Rollins’ recent performance in the Seven-Man Gauntlet match on Monday Night RAW:
“I was standing by Gorilla staring at the screen just watching and these guys were putting on an amazing show. Seth Rollins, I think, tore the house down. All of them did, but Seth outdid everyone. Seth has always been such a great athlete. You’ve always seen that since he’s been on the road, but watching last night made me a bigger fan of his. It was really cool. I almost forgot I was on the show!”
– Paul Heyman had some high praise for Braun Strowman over the weekend. After witnessing first-hand what Strowman was capable of at the Royal Rumble last month, Heyman wrote on Facebook,
“Just for the record, this is one seriously talented and credible contender. Braun Strowman’s upside is … dare I say … MONSTROUS!”
Heyman’s official Heyman Hustle website just posted a new batch of photos (courtesy fo photographer Bruno Miguel Silveira) from the Royal Rumble that are really worth checking out.
– WWE posted a video of Nia Jax cutting a promo on the competitors involved in the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match. Jax is currently set to face first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV), and if she wins she’ll be added to the RAW Women’s Title match at WrestleMana – making it a Triple Threat match:
– RAW exclusive PPV Backlash will go down on May 6th in Newark, New Jersey from the Prudential Center. WWE has announced tickets will go on sale for the event on February 24th.
– On last night’s episode of RAW WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz qualified for the Elimination Chamber match by defeating Apollo Crews. The winner of the Chamber match will go on to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34. Miz took to Twitter to ask his doubters over the years if they ‘feel stupid yet’:
– Speaking of the Elimination Chamber match, next week’s episode of RAW from San Jose will feature a Fatal Four-Way match between Finn Balor, Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt, and Apollo Crews. All of these men lost their initial qualifying match for the Elimination Chamber.
This “Second Chance Fatal Four-Way” will determine the sixth and final competitor in the Elimination Chamber match. WWE recently posted an interview with Finn Balor; who vows to win the Fatal Four-Way, go on to win the Chamber match, and topple Lesnar at WrestleMania to regain the Universal Crown:
– Nia Jax was left out of the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match, however, RAW General Manager did but her in a match that gives her quite the opportunity. Jax will instead take on Women’s Royal Rumble winner Asuka in a Singles match. If she’s successful she’ll be thrown into the RAW Women’s Title match at WrestleMania, making it a Triple Threat match. She took to Twitter to react:
A place in the first women’s #WWEChamber match was what I wanted…
…but I’ll settle for breaking @WWEAsuka’s streak and a championship match at #WrestleMania. That’ll be just fine. #Raw
– WWE Superstar Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) made the following announcement on his Facebook page:

I am pleased to announce another special guest coming to Knoxville on February 16. – YouTube wrestling personality, Grim, of Grim’s Toy Show fat shamed WWE Superstar Nia Jax in a recently deleted video. Jax saw the video and called out Grim out on Twitter, leading to a ton of hate being tossed the YouTube personality’s way as a result:
I’m guessing he wants attention @GrimsToyShow for his horrible behavior, making fun of my weight (which is completely unoriginal ?), but what gets me is that he’s shouting degrading things toward women in front of a young girl. Good job buddy https://t.co/7kfmJXaac0
I’m so sorry @NiaJaxWWE I feel like a total piece of crap now. I hope you will accept my apology and I will remove that video. I’m a huge fan of all involved in the women’s and Men’s rumble, sometimes I get carried away “trying” to be “shocking” ?? https://t.co/RZz4WGYQAg

I messed up this time guys and I’m sorry. I’ll work very hard to be better. I sent an apology to @NiaJaxWWE and removed the video.

Before Enzo Amore was released earlier this week, he had been involved in a program with Nia Jax. Enzo and Nia were becoming something of an odd-couple love story on 205 Live and Raw. The storyline was a focal point of the 205 Live house shows which took place this weekend.
The events of this week involving Enzo Amore seemingly put Nia’s new storyline in jeopardy. It appears now, however, Nia has developed eyes for another member of the cruiserweight division.
With Enzo Amore’s departure, other changes are coming to 205 Live. On the most recent episode, Daniel Bryan announced plans for a GM to be assigned to the brand. A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has since reported the idea has been tossed around before, with Summer Rae being someone the company had once thought of for the role.
This past week on 205 Live, a match between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali is getting solid reviews.
– Dr. Phil, who has made several appearances on Monday Night RAW over the years, made a special congratulatory video for tonight’s RAW 25 episode. Phil also said he loves offering help to all WWE’s current Superstars, and his couch is always open to them – particularly Enzo Amore and Nia Jax:
– Vince McMahon took to Twitter to comment on tonight’s episode of RAW 25. Here’s what he had to say:
Nia Jax spoke with UK publication The Mirror to promote next weekend’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Topics discussed include the possibility of Ronda Rousey wrestling for WWE, RAW GM Kurt Angle naming her as the favorite to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match and which surprise entrants she’d like to see. Here are the highlights of what she said about:
Ronda Rousey Joining WWE’s Women’s Division:
“Ronda actually started a women’s revolution outside of WWE. She was the first woman to main event a UFC pay-per-view. That’s huge. Her coming over to the WWE and showing our talent what she can do here and probably showing some of us how to do different things, it would be amazing, I would definitely welcome it, you know? I don’t know if she has ever faced anybody like some of our girls, who are extremely athletic and have insane talent, so I think it would kind of be an awakening for her as well.”
Kurt Angle Naming Her As A Favorite To Win The Women’s Rumble:
“Ha ha. Oh that’s awesome. I appreciate Kurt realising my talent and appreciating I am the most dominant woman in this company. But at the end of the day, there is not just one woman I have to go against, there is every woman in the division, plus whoever else gets to come. So, I’m definitely up for the challenge and I believe I could be the last woman standing in the Royal Rumble.”
The Surprise Entrant She Most Wants To See in the Women’s Rumble:
“Oh there’s so many, but the one that I would love to see, that I would love to go up against, is Beth Phoenix. I would love for her to return. It would be something for me, kind of like a a childhood thing, growing up seeing her being such a dominant woman. I would love for her to show up and be in the ring with her.”

Just incase you missed it!… RAW is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this month, and WWE have promised some big names to join the celebration.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Nia Jax commented on who she would most like to face in a match at the 25th Anniversary edition of RAW.
Nia explained that she would love to get in the ring with Bull Nakano who was her hero growing up, and “the definition of a badass woman”. Looking back at Nakano’s wrestling matches, Nia describes them as revolutionary – but without the benefit of the spotlight that modern day superstars of the women’s division are given.
Nia Jax offered thanks to those women of Nakano’s generation, for paving the way and enabling her, and other female superstars, to access new and exciting opportunities.
Jax also expressed love for the stiff Japanese style that Nakano featured, comparing it to women in UFC:
“You have women in UFC who are kicking the crap out of each other. If you look at what they were doing back then, you wouldn’t want to be on the end of one of those backfists or the way they hit each other.”
Opinion:
Looking back at these matches, it’s easy to see a comparison between Nia Jax and Bull Nakano. But one key difference is Nakano’s use of submissions which Nia lacks. If she found or used a submission would that enable Nia Jax to become a dominant force in WWE?
