As reported earlier today, Kane is currently backstage at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the site of tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, however he isn’t the only surprise name backstage at the show.
According to multiple sources, part-time WWE performer Chris Jericho is also backstage at the Toyota Center this evening.
There is no word yet as to what Jericho is doing backstage at the show, however there is some speculation that he could end up being the mystery partner for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in their six-man tag-team match tonight against The Wyatt Family.
– WWE posted the following video of The Dudley Boyz arriving to the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas for tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, where they will look to become ten-time tag-team champions by defeating The New Day.
– WWE also posted the following tweet to hype up the mystery tag-team partner of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose for their six-man battle against The Wyatt Family at tonight’s pay-per-view.
– WWE Tag-Team Champions The New Day will be fielding questions from fans during the WWE Night Of Champions Kickoff Show on the WWE Network tonight. Fans can submit questions to Big E., Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods via Twitter with the hashtag, “#SaveTheTables.”
– WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler noted via social media that he will be debuting new ring gear for his match against Rusev at tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view. Ziggler tweeted the following.

– “Mr. Money In The Bank” Sheamus is teasing that he will be cashing in his briefcase at tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view. WWE is running a poll asking fans if Sheamus should cash in or wait, and 70 percent of the votes are for Sheamus cashing in tonight.

There are some unusually long odds in at two different sports books for tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view. Usually the long odds, which come in when the late “smart money” comes in, isn’t until approximately an hour or so before the start of the show.
However, when the odds are very long, in more than 95 percent of the cases in recent years, the winners have been correct.
With that being said, below are the latest updated betting odds for tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view:
Stardust & The Ascension were 135-to-1 favorites.
Dolph Ziggler was a 135-to-1 favorite.
The Dudleys were 45-to-1 favorites.
Kevin Owens was a 45-to-1 favorite.
Charlotte was a 135-to-1 favorite.
The Wyatt Family were 135-to-1 favorites.
John Cena was a 45-to-1 favorite over Seth Rollins
WWE Night of Champions may see a major return tonight according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. He’s reporting that Kane is backstage at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the arena housing tonight’s pay-per-view. Kane has been out of action since the July 13th edition of Monday Night Raw at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. That was the show where Brock Lesnar dropped the steps on his ankle and Seth Rollins then stomped on it to turn Kane babyface.
During Kane’s last few weeks on TV, they made a point of having Paul Heyman repeatedly refer to him as “The Undertaker’s baby brother.” That seemed like foreshadowing that Kane and The Undertaker would reunite soon, though with Undertaker still programed with Brock Lesnar exclusively, that seems less likely right now.
While he was away, Glenn “Kane” Jacobs was filming the WWE Studios film “6:42,” which is the same movie that Dolph Ziggler was filming during his most recent hiatus. WWE.com describes the plot of the movie as follows:
Ray Fitzpatrick (WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler) is a tough as nails narcotics cop working the beat in Los Angeles. After a drug bust goes wrong, Ray is forced to shoot his own partner, leading to his suspension from the police force. Before you know it, Ray is dragged right back into the thick of it when a mysterious package arrives at the station addressed to him.
The package leads Ray and his colleagues to an encrypted website where an unidentified kidnapper broadcasts a threat to Ray and the entire police force. The kidnapper, it turns out, is holding a young boy hostage and unless the police department can come up with a $2 million ransom, he’ll set off a time-bomb strapped to the child’s chest.
The department, led by Lt. Cronin (WWE Superstar Kane) comes up with the payoff and Ray is tasked as the bagman. When the handover goes down, Ray is forced to shoot and kill the kidnapper before he can set off the bomb and kill the child.
With 6 hours and 42 minutes left before the timed explosive detonates, Ray and Internal Affairs agent Julia Baker (Katharine Isabelle from “See No Evil 2”) race against time to find the now deceased kidnapper’s hidden lair and save the child before it’s too late.
– For whatever this is worth, WWE is still advertising “The Viper” Randy Orton for tonight’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Sting recently spoke with The Houston Chronicle to promote his WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Seth Rollins at this Sunday’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
During the interview, Sting spoke about finally joining WWE after avoiding the promotion for so many years.
“Quite honestly, I never thought it would happen, that I’d be in the WWE, but here I am,” said Sting. “Whether I was right or wrong, I made a decision to stay with another group that came to the table with everything I was asking for.”
Sting continued, “I stayed apart from WWE, and I was fine. This year, I figured it was time.”
– Although WWE had been indicating that John Cena vs. Seth Rollins would headline this Sunday’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view, they are now talking like Cena vs. Rollins will take place prior to Sting vs. Rollins.

Sting, who’s doing his late media for this Sunday’s Night of Champions pay-per-view event, granted an interview to Rolling Stone’s Kenny Herzog that went up today. Among other topics, he talks about the promo he cut on Seth Rollins a week or two back where it seemed to some fans like he was randomly putting over Triple H at Seth Rollins’ expense. “I don’t pay attention a lot of times to what’s out there, so this is the first time I’m hearing any news of that. I don’t think there’s anyone who’s going to carry all that to Night of Champions and think about that, because the bottom line is, my focus is Seth Rollins. Triple H is Triple H, and he’s worth the put-over.”
When it comes to Sting’s promos right now, he said that “I’m working collaboratively, but there’s no one looking over my shoulder making sure this or that is being said. I am definitely allowed to ad-lib and be Sting.” Later, when asked about how he’s shown different sides of his character on his promos as of late (like tha “Joker Sting” from TNA), he answered by saying that “This is one of the things I always try to tell the younger guys when they ask for advice. I try to tell them to step outside of their comfort zones, try something different.”
Noting that some fans are always asking him to go back to the blonde spiked hair, different fans ask for the stoic, non-verbal “Crow” Sting, others ask for “Joker Sting,” and so on, he told Herzog that “You can’t please everybody all the time, that’s for sure, and I can’t say that I have blown it or failed over the years by trying different things and trying to evolve and show different sides of my character. Hopefully, it’s working.”
In the full interview, Sting discusses other topics like wrestling at 56 years old, whether he’ll ever engage fans on social media, and more.

While there was talk recently that John Cena may soon have another run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it looks like that won’t be happening until 2016 at the earliest.
Prior to the announcement that Sting would be challenging Seth Rollins for the title at WWE Night Of Champions this month, there was some speculation that Cena could be challenging Rollins for both titles.
According to F4WOnline.com, at the time it was reportedly WWE’s goal to keep Cena from the title and have the belt go to Roman Reigns and other Superstars before Cena’s shot comes back around.

The options include Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and the mysterious Sister Abigail. While Strowman came in first with 47 percent of the vote, the unknown Sister Abigail isn’t far behind with 30 percent of the vote. Oddly enough, Wyatt, the leader of the group only has 17 percent. At Night of Champions, I will defeat Seth Rollins and become the new WWE World Hvt. champion. So, come back and let’s make history together!”
