WWE has announced the first ever “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge” for this coming Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW.
Scheduled to compete in the “Beat The Clock Challenge” on Monday night in Tampa, Florida are Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch. There is currently no word regarding their opponents.
The Diva who wins her match in the shortest amount of time will earn a shot at WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella at the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
– It appears WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella has responded to online reports that her boyfriend John Cena has used his influence behind the scenes to keep the title on her until she becomes the longest reigning Divas champion in history. Nikki tweeted this week:
When you are succeeding, everyone will talk about you and your success. Good or Bad. Don't believe everything you read. N
– Japanese women’s wrestler Kanna did in fact sign with WWE two weeks ago, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. No word yet on whether she’ll be wrestling or if she’ll be working as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center.
As reported recently, there have been rumors going around that claim WWE had plans for Charlotte to defeat Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship early into her main roster debut, however Bella’s boyfriend, John Cena, reportedly had those plans squashed.
A fan asked Dave Meltzer about the story on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, however he claimed he did not know if there was any truth to the rumors. He did say that Cena’s relationship with Bella is part of the reason why she is having such a lengthy title reign. He claims to have heard no discussions about the Charlotte rumor, but added that it doesn’t mean there isn’t any truth to the rumors.
It was also mentioned that Cena has spoken up in the past when Bella was set to lose the WWE Divas Championship, however Meltzer noted that he isn’t sure if Cena has done that in the past few weeks.
As it turns out, WWE actually scrambled to try and prevent the crowd takeover that occurred during the Divas match at RAW on Monday night.
As reported earlier, Paige, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox took to social media after RAW to vent their frustrations about the negative crowd reactions during their six-Divas tag-team match.
Paige tweeted (and then quickly deleted), “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”
To counter the negative crowd reactions, WWE actually inserted an extra commercial break into the West Coast feed of RAW, as they actually suddenly cut to a commercial break right when Paige took Nikki into the corner of the ring and hit a shoulder block.
As a result, WWE effectively prevented most of the “boring” chants, “we are awesome” chants and the wave, from airing on the West Coast feed of the show.
It’s worth noting that unlike the aforementioned four Divas, Becky Lynch and Charlotte did not complain on social media. You can check out their reactions below.

Well Brooklynch. I'll love you and leave you. You were a beautiful boisterous bunch. #RAW
Several of the WWE Divas who worked last night’s RAW expressed their frustration with the fans in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, particularly with how they reacted during the Team P.C.B. vs. Team Bella match.
Paige tweeted the following comment, but quickly deleted it: “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”
Below are some posts from other WWE Divas involved in the match/segment, all of which spoke about the negative fan reaction as well.
WWE Diva and Total Divas star Natalya recently spoke with Newsday about a number of current topics. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On WWE Divas getting more exposure these days: “It’s very very cool to see the girls get some serious recognition. Because for most of my WWE career I think when people think of Nattie, they think Nattie kind of embodies women’s wrestling. For me, I was never a model. I was a wrestler. I wrestled in Japan, I wrestled for my family, I’ve done jiujitsu and martial arts — I wouldn’t say I was ever involved in MMA, but I did train in Brazilian jiujitsu and just tried to make myself as well-rounded as possible so I could be as best as I could be in the ring. So to see the Divas actually getting a chance, it’s great.”
On watching the current Divas Revolution storyline from backstage: “Watching the girls, in some ways it’s a little bittersweet because I watch them and I’m so proud of them and so excited for them and I would love to get back in the ring with the Bellas and get in there with Charlotte and Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch and some of the new blood. But with WWE, you have to just let the world unfold and everything happens for a reason and we tell stories. So maybe they’re saving the best for last.”
An anonymous veteran wrestler who is considered very respected within the industry when it comes to analyzing matches, noticed several interesting things about the current “Diva Revolution” in WWE.
One of the problems is that the women get worse in the ring on the main roster because three nights a week they are doing five-to-eight minute multiple-person matches, which means they generally do a couple of their regular spots and moves, as opposed to actually “working.”
He also noted that because Team Bella flip-flops from heel to babyface so often, it’s hard for a fresh new act like Sasha Banks to get over in a match working with someone like Nikki Bella as the established act that is supposed to help get her over to the main roster audience.
Finally, the person saw what was basically a promo from Becky Lynch and Charlotte on Twitter, and noted that it was a considerable amount better than their RAW promos because they were just being themselves.
It was reported last month that Nikki was working through a partially separated shoulder that was causing her some pain and discomfort but would not require time off.
Nikki is scheduled to compete at Sunday’s SummerSlam PPV in the 3-team Divas Elimination Match. She’ll be teaming up with Brie and Alicia Fox as part of Team Bella against Team B.A.D. and PCB.
– In the past, Paul Heyman and Jim Ross have told stories about Vince McMahon having a pet peeve about sneezing. Heyman recently sent the following tweet to a fan, referencing the story again.

– As previously reported, the recent episode of the WWE Network show “Unfiltered with Renee Young,” which featured WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella, lasted 30 minutes. The show is now back to being a 15-minute program, starting with this week’s episode, which featured SummerSlam star and “Arrow” actor Stephen Amell.
WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella spoke with FOX Sports recently and spoke about John Cena badly breaking his nose during his match with Seth Rollins on WWE RAW.
“I was so scared,” said Bella. “When you see someone’s nose on the side of their face, just gushing blood, and then when you love the guy and you care about him; I was just like, what’s going on, why is he not coming back?”
Bella continued, “But you know John’s Superman. So he finished the match. But I was still scared and I stayed with him in the hospital that night. He had emergency surgery. I was his nurse all week. But he’s doing amazing. He’s 100 percent now. And I just honestly have never seen anyone in my life heel like John. He heels so fast and he’s so strong but that was pretty scary.”
Roman Reigns and Nikki Bella appeared on Fox Sports’ The Buzz with Jimmy Traina to hype WWE SummerSlam and discuss WWE’s charity auction taking place at CharityBuzz.com/WWE.
Reigns spoke about the fan who threw the MITB briefcase into the ring, his worst in-ring injury and memories of Roddy Piper and Dusty Rhodes. Nikki spoke about John Cena’s recovery from a broken nose, the Divas revolution and more.
Reigns revealed that he found out that he wouldn’t be winning the WWE World Heavyweight championship at WrestleMania 31 the night before the show, after the Hall of Fame ceremony.
He also commented on the possibility of his cousin The Rock making an appearance at SummerSlam next Sunday.
“I wanna tell you, but I don’t want to give anything away.”
You can read a more highlights from the podcast at FoxSports.com.
As seen on Monday’s edition of RAW, WWE has given the trio of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch a team name, similar to Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina being called “Team B.A.D.” and the team of Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox being referred to as “Team Bella.”
Unfortunately, the team name for the babyface trio, “The Submission Sorority,” is also the name of an adult website, a fact that WWE quickly found out about after mentioning the name on national television.
A traffic analyst for the BangBros website told TMZ.com that their web traffic shot up 56% overnight, and they saw a 35% rise in subscriptions. The adult movie company plans on sending Vince McMahon a ‘thank you’ gift basket for the spike in business.
As a result of the slip up, WWE is already talking about changing the group name to “The Submission Sisters.” There was actually some discussions about giving the group the name “Horsewomen,” however the belief was that it could be seen as stepping on UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey’s toes.
– As previously noted, the next episode of “Unfiltered with Renee Young” on the WWE Network will air tonight and will be a 30-minute interview with WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella.
A preview for the interview is shown above, it appears that even Renee herself wasn’t aware that the episode was going to air for 30-minutes after she tweeted at the beginning of the month:
– The WWE website has a poll asking if John Cena should accept Seth Rollins’ “Winner Takes All” match at SummerSlam later this month.

– WWE’s Canyon Ceman, William Regal and Seth Rollins were at the PWG event in Reseda, California to scout talent last week. The three were said to be particularly impressed with AAA star Angelico, who is currently under a multi-year agreement with Lucha Underground, as long as they continue running shows, and also has a deal with the AAA promotion in Mexico.

– The mild concussion that Alicia Fox suffered during her tag-team match with Nikki Bella against Charlotte and Becky Lynch on RAW took place when Charlotte delivered a regular leg-sweep to Fox. Fox reportedly took the bump high on her head and beck area.

WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella spoke highly of WWE’s diversity in a new statement released by E! following the Hulk Hogan racism controversy.
“We just love to celebrate individuals who come from different walks of life,” said Bella. “At WWE alone, we have such a diverse set of talent, of employees, of fans and you know, that’s one of the things that makes WWE so unique and not only WWE but Total Divas.
The WWE Divas Champion continued, “Look at our cast [on Total Divas]. Our cast, very diverse and you know, everyone’s from a different background, different nationality, and I think that’s what makes our show so interesting…as you see all these girls from different backgrounds come together and empower women.”

– Here is the synopsis for Total Divas airing on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 9/8 CT on E!: “Alicia, anticipating that her ex-boyfriend may be single again soon, toys with the idea of confessing her love to him; Jonathan takes heat for Eva’s bruises; and Paige is offended by Nikki’s classy take on her home turf.”

WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella recently spoke with The Straits Times about approaching a record setting WWE Divas Championship reign, her future goals and more. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On being the second longest reigning WWE Divas Champion and her future goals: “My number one goal right now is to be the longest reigning Divas champion. I know it’s going to be tough to beat AJ Lee’s record of 295 days which means I have to keep it till after Night Of Champions (a WWE per-per-view on September 21). It’s going to be really tough.
Another goal is make this championship mean something. I want to leave a legacy, to make the Divas division amazing. I hope I get more opportunities to do this and that the people upstairs, the bosses continue to listen, because there’s so much I would love to do with this championship.”
On if she prefers to be a heel or babyface: “The bad girl is so much more fun. You can have so much more personality and get really creative. When I see the kids out there, the Bella army, they make me want to play the good girl. But overall, being bad is so much more fun.”
Michelle has two other daughters: AkiAnne Rose, born May 2010, and Ryumi Grace, born October 2012.

As things stand right now, there is no WWE Divas Championship match officially scheduled for Sunday’s WWE Battleground pay-per-view. Originally, WWE had planned to have Nikki Bella defend the WWE Divas Championship against Paige at Battleground, however that was before the angle was shot on Monday’s RAW where the NXT Divas were called up to the main roster.
Speaking of Sunday’s Battleground event in St. Louis, as of Wednesday, WWE had sold only 10,500 tickets for the 14,600 seat setup they have for the show. This marks the weakest advance for a regular WWE pay-per-view this year, not counting Elimination Chamber, which was originally a live event in a smaller venue that wasn’t promoted as a pay-per-view at first.
– NXT Diva Becky Lynch is out of action for a few weeks due to a hip flexor injury that she suffered during her NXT Takeover match with Sasha Banks. Lynch had continued to work through the injury, however she is now taking some time off to recover.
