Nikki Cross pulled off quite the unique counter when she battled Scarlett during a recent eight-person tag-team match. At WWE’s Boxing Day live event in Madison Square Garden, Cross and the Wyatt Sicks answered the open challenge made by the Final Testament. When Scarlett sought to add insult to injury by delivering a stinkface, Cross bit back, literally, by sinking her teeth on the buttocks of the ‘Smokeshow.’
This match was certainly one to remember for Scarlett, who currently boasts a 5-7 record in WWE matches. Despite her team’s loss, the event held personal significance for her, as it coincided with the 15th anniversary of her debut in pro wrestling.
As we close out the day after wrestling a WWE Event at MSG, I wanted to share a story. Dec 26th is a very special day for me because 15 years ago at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Chicago, IL I made my wrestling debut at AAW. I wasn’t allowed to watch wrestling my entire life and went… pic.twitter.com/GVUhvW7bQT
Scarlett and her allies are deep into their feud with the Wyatt Sicks, and it was the Final Testament who handed Uncle Howdy’s group their first loss ever on the December 9 Raw. While Scarlett has yet to go one-on-one with Nikki Cross on TV, fans won’t be surprised if Scarlett wears some extra padding going forward, lest Cross decides to take another bite out of her posterior.
Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Scarlett and the ongoing battle for supremacy between the Wyatt Sicks and the Final Testament.
WWE boasts one of the largest and most impressive rosters in all of wrestling, constructed of talented individuals from across the globe. Now, one name fans can expect to see much more of in WWE from here on is The Wyatt Sicks’ Nikki Cross.
The 35-year-old from Glasgow, Scotland has signed a new contract with WWE, Fightful Select reports. Negotiations between the two sides had been ongoing since spring, the report adds, before the debut of The Wyatt Sicks on Monday Night RAW.
While Cross hasn’t wrestled for WWE since November of last year, her role in the Uncle Howdy-led faction has ensured her regular TV time. The group
There’ll be no shortage of people in WWE pleased to see Cross re-sign with the company. Sources within WWE who spoke to Fightful have had positive things to say about her. During the pandemic, numerous extras reached out to Fightful to speak about how welcoming Cross had been.
WWE Re-Signings
Cross is the latest notable name to put pen to paper and reportedly re-sign with WWE this year. In June, fellow Scotland native Drew McIntyre re-signed with WWE after lengthy speculation that he could be leaving. McIntyre’s new deal was publicly confirmed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson of TKO’s Board of Directors, who gifted McIntyre a sword.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Randy Orton has re-signed with WWE. With a reported five-year length, this new contract will keep the 14-time WWE World Champion on the roster until summer 2029. Angel and Berto signed new contracts with WWE. The pair currently appear on SmackDown as part of Legado Del Fantasma.
WWE continues to build toward a huge angle with QR codes. The trend continued during this week’s episode of RAW.
During Ilja Dragunov’s entrance before his match against Ricochet, another QR code appeared on the screen. Michael Cole, once again, pointed it out, saying, “there’s that damn QR code, again.”
The QR code this week led to a video featuring a woman who had been reported missing. In the video, she spoke about her captor, stating she was never in any harm and was happy that he “set her free.”
A lot of hype is growing about Uncle Howdy’s new stable, with Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross, and Erick Rowan reportedly involved. Fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of this new faction.
The teases began at the end of the Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary, suggesting someone might continue Wyatt’s legacy. With Bo Dallas taking on the Uncle Howdy character, Wyatt’s story may carry on in this way.
WWE has strategically placed these hints across various platforms, including their WWE 2K24 video game. We will continue to monitor for any new updates on this unfolding storyline.
Something is stirring in the WWE Universe, and the cryptic clues keep coming. The company’s Twitch stream, already a target for mysterious messages, saw another ominous interruption today.
A new hint has emerged about the rumored Bo Dallas-led faction in WWE. This only adds to the growing intrigue surrounding their anticipated arrival.
During a live Twitch stream on WWE’s official channel, viewers saw a series of mysterious visuals and messages. This concluded the stream for the day, and the clip immediately went viral.
The strange portion of the broadcast started with two notes shown on screen. One said, “I can’t wait to meet you,” as the other read, “I will see you all soon.” Then, hands wearing fingerless gloves appeared, holding a note with the message “REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE” along with displayed coordinates. They left this note on a doorstep before running away.
Four other names are expected to be part of this new faction. Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan are all slated to join the new Wyatt Family fold.
Each of these Superstars has experience as faction members. Cross was part of Sanity, Gacy leads The Schism, Lumis was a member of The Way, and Rowan was an original member of The Wyatt Family.
Uncle Howdy hasn’t been seen on WWE television since he was involved in Bray Wyatt’s story with Bobby Lashley during the build toward their WrestleMania 39 match that never happened. WWE is obviously planning something, and fans will seemingly have an answer to all their questions soon.
A new Wyatt Family may be on the horizon, but when and who will exactly show up representing the renewed faction?
A lot of actual signs in the form of QR codes and trailers greatly indicate that Bo Dallas will be returning to WWE television, perhaps in the form of himself or the mysterious Uncle Howdy. However, a new report from PWInsider has a list of names rumored to join the late Bray Wyatt’s younger brother.
As of now, currently on tap to be in the new faction (whatever they may be called) are four other names. Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy and Erick Rowan are all slated to be in the new Wyatt Family fold. All of those mentioned names have previous experience as faction members with Cross being apart of Sanity, Gacy leading The Schism, Dexter Lumis as a member of The Way and Rowan of course as an original member of The Wyatt Family.
The Codes And Rumors Surrounding Bo Dallas’ Return
WWE started a cryptic campaign in the weeks up to WrestleMania 40 with the first teaser of a Bo Dallas return being at the end of the Bray Wyatt documentary trailer. Ever since, QR codes have popped up for fans to scan and an ominous tune titled “Nightbird” has began playing before and during WWE live events.
The most recent reference was quite direct for Bo Dallas as a QR code appeared on the 5/3 episode of WWE SmackDown. The code directed fans to a Backlash trailer before turning into something creepy that had the quote ‘He opened his arms. Our pain became his. We were reborn. Because we BOlieved.’
Nikki Cross may be aligned with Damage CTRL, but the group isn’t ready to welcome her as a member just yet.
Cross returned to WWE programming on the October 24, 2022 Raw, reverting to the unhinged persona she had used in NXT.
The former Raw Women’s Champion has ditched her Superhero character and the Nikki A.S.H. name.
Damage CTRL
Despite attacking Bayley during her return, Cross has been on the same side as the Role Model and Damage CTRL since then.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Cross interfered to help Dakota Kai and IYO SKY recapture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Alexa Bliss and Asuka.
Fightful Select reports that on WWE’s internal listings before this week’s Raw, Cross was not listed as a member of the stable.
On this week’s Raw, IYO SKY defeated Dana Brooke, while Bayley, Kai, and Cross were ringside, though Cross did not seem interested in what was going on in the ring.
WarGames
Cross is not an official member of the Damage CTRL stable, but she will soon be entering WarGames with Bayley, Kai, and SKY.
On Raw, it was confirmed that Rhea Ripley will be joining the four for WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event.
The group will face Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and one final teammate yet to be named.
While it is believed that Candice LeRae will be the final member of the group, that has yet to be confirmed on TV.
One burning question since RAW went off air has been answered: WWE’s 24/7 Championship has been officially retired.
After making quick work of Dana Brooke in the ring, Nikki Cross became the 24/7 Champion. In a move that hurt the former champion more than anything that just happened, Cross pulled a Madusa and threw the 24/7 Championship into the trash can. There was immediate speculation that the title was no more.
On Wednesday, WWE confirmed the news by updating the WWE Championships section of their website. Underneath the 24/7 Championship, it has the dates 2019-2022.
The Legacy of the 24/7 Championship
R Truth as the WWE 24/7 Champion
The 24/7 Championship was initially viewed as a negative by fans. Eventually R-Truth would change that perception. He made it fun while people chased him all over to try to win the title. Some Superstars would win it, only to immediately lose it to him. He held the title a total of fifty four times. Overall, Truth held the title for an astounding 425 combined days.
A number of non-wrestlers were 24/7 champions including Bad Bunny (who took it with him to Saturday Night Live), Rob Gronkowski, Doug Flutie, Enes Kanter, Kyle Busch, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton.
No Way Jose claims that he came up with the idea of the championship. “I might have the year wrong, but in December of 2018, I wrote to my writer, and I, word for word said, ‘What if we do a 24/7 Championship?’ I’ll pull it up right now. What if we do a 24/7 title that gives everybody something to do.”
R.I.P. 24/7 Championship. You had a good run while it lasted.
The November 7th edition of WWE RAW is in the books and what an eventful show it was.
RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring fresh off her victory over Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel. She was accompanied by former Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Asuka.
Asuka and Alexa Bliss captured the Women’s Tag Team Champions on last week’s RAW but lost them back to Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL at the premium live event on Saturday. The trio called out Damage CTRL and suggested a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Nikki Cross attacked from behind and a brawl broke out.
Bianca, Asuka, and Alexa have to find two partners before Survivor Series: WarGames on November 26th. Damage CTRL will add one more superstar before the match.
Later on RAW, Damage CTRL spoke to Nikki backstage and wanted her on their WarGames team. Bayley added that Nikki doesn’t have to wait until Survivor Series, she can get her aggression out tonight against Dana Brooke.
Nikki cackled and made her way to the ring. She proceeded to demolish Dana Brooke as Bayley watched on from commentary. Cross hit a Swinging Neckbreaker and pinned Dana Brooke to win the 24/7 Championship.
After the match, Bayley draped the title on Nikki’s shoulders as she walked backstage with a crazed look in her eyes. Nikki then thew the title away in a trash can (or at least attempted to) and kept walking with Damage CTRL behind her.
Nikki Cross just tried to throw the 24/7 Title in the trash can, and missed. I'll have an update on that title this week on Fightful Select. I think it speaks volumes, though

Rhea Ripley was on Team RAW at the Survivor Series this year. At the time, she was one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions along with Nikki ASH. They have since lost the belts to Carmella and Queen Zelina, however. Nikki was not on the Team RAW Survivor Series team. Rhea Ripley recently commented to Sportskeeda that she felt the snub was a little disrespectful.
“I think I am more disappointed than Nikki is because she’s such a positive person,” Ripley said about Nikki not being on the Survivor Series team. “Yes, I know she’s upset. But I am very upset for her because I know that she’s worked so incredibly hard for everything that she’s accomplished. She’s been in this business for a lot longer than I have.”
“To not have her on the team is a little bit disrespectful,” Ripley continued. “To have one half of your Tag Team Champions on the team and not the other half, it seems a little bit silly to me. We obviously work well enough together to be champions, so why not half Nikki on the team with us? I think we could really make some magic. I’m just disappointed, I really am.”
Ripley and Nikki won the WWE Women’s tag-team titles on the September 20th, 2021 edition of WWE Raw from Natalya and Tamina. It was the 3rd time Nikki has held the titles, as she twice won the belts along with Alexa Bliss as “Bliss Cross.” Ripley and Nikki would hold the belts for 63 days before dropping them to Queen Zelina and Carmella on the November 22nd edition of RAW. Nikki is the only wrestler to hold the titles 3 times.
In the span of 24 hours, the WWE Raw Women’s Title has changed hands twice.
In the main event of Monday’s episode of Raw, Charlotte Flair retained the title over Ripley via DQ in Dallas, TX at the American Airlines Center on the USA Network.
After the match, Ripley laid out Flair by tossing her into the ring post. This led to Nikki A.S.H aka Nikki Cross coming out and cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase. She hit a splash off the top rope and pinned Flair to become the new champion.
Flair had just beaten Ripley on Sunday night at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena.
At this same show, Nikki won this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match as she beat Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Tamina.
With a DQ finish between Flair and Ripley then a new champion being crowned, it will be interesting to see where WWE goes from here heading into the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Saturday, August 21 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Allegiant Stadium.
Nikki won this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match as she beat Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Tamina at the pay-per-view event on Sunday night from Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena
Just like the men’s contest, will have a contract that she can cash-in anytime that she wants within a year from this pay-per-view event.
Bliss had Morgan trapped in the corner and did a creepy walk up the ladder. This was after Bliss acted like she was going to use her super powers to have the briefcase lowered. Naomi suplexed Nikki on the ladder then did a leg drop. Nikki did a dive off a ladder on the floor into the ring to take everyone out. The finish had everyone fighting on top of ladders then Nikki just grabbed the briefcase to win it.
Asuka won the briefcase last year in the match that was held at corporate headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. She never had to cash-in the contract as Becky Lynch vacated the title and gave to Asuka due to her being pregnant at the time.
The new Superhero gimmick of Nikki Cross caught a lot of people off guard. It has received mixed reactions from the fans online so far. During her recent appearance on Espanol’s El Brunch De WWE, the former Sanity member opened up about her new character and revealed the inspiration behind it.
Cross revealed that the idea was being discussed since the Royal Rumble PPV back in January this year. She then discussed how she used to watch superhero cartoons as a child and explained how it inspired her to create the character:
“The idea started to form right about the Royal Rumble, for me, I’ve always taken a lot of inspiration, a lot of comfort, a lot of escapism from superhero movies and superhero television shows in Scotland as a little girl. I would always watch the X-Men cartoon, the Spiderman cartoons.
For me, I really wanted to come up with something that was really inspirational to little girls and boys and something that is a very positive message. To me, the whole message is that I don’t have super powers,” said Nikki Cross, “I don’t have super speed, I don’t have super strength, I can’t fly unfortunately but it’s so you don’t need superpowers to be a superhero.”
The former NXT star continued by saying that she wanted to share the message that you can be a superhero by being good to people and standing up for those in need around you. Apart from this, Nikki Cross also talked about choosing the costume for her new persona. She claimed that she wanted to create something which people can replicate easily.
Nikki Cross was drafted to Raw brand in the 2020 draft. While still being seen on WWE TV every now and then, Cross hadn’t been part of any meaningful storyline since then. The former champion debuted her new superhero gimmick called ‘The Spirit’ during the June 21 episode of Raw last month.
WWE Superstar Nikki Cross took to social media to react publicly to her husband Killian Dain being released from WWE yesterday.
Dain had been part of the NXT brand over the past year, where he was teaming with Drake Maverick. The duo had adopted an ‘odd couple’ type of gimmick, with Maverick of course being the far smaller of the pair and more of comedy type character.
“The whole world is waiting for you my love” Nikki Cross tweeted in reaction to Killian Dain being released. “I have seen your talent, your experience, your versatility, your work, your passion, your dedication, And your heart, first hand and up close.”
“I have the best seat in the house, I can’t wait to watch you unleashed. My man [heart emoji]” Cross would conclude.
Nikki Cross on Killian Dain
Nikki Cross and Killian Dain were both previously part of the Sanity stable in NXT. The group had a successful run on the gold and black brand, but notably they were underutilized and discarded quite quickly on the main roster of WWE.
With Dain now gone, Nikki Cross remains the only member of Sanity still contracted with WWE, as Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe were also previously released from the company.
Prior to signing with WWE, Killian Dain/Big Damo was a mainstay on the European independent scene, topping the card for the likes of Rev Pro, What Culture Pro Wrestling and OTT.
Damo issued his own response to the release, saying that “chip is back on my shoulder” and that his email was open for media and booking enquiries.
The now former Killian Dain also confirmed that he has a 90-day no compete clause, whereas some of the other talent that were released had either 30-60.
Nikki Cross revealed a new ‘superhero’ character on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw. The former Sanity member discussed the new gimmick and her reunion with Alexa Bliss on the RAW Talk post-show.
Cross and Bliss teamed to take on Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler in a Money In The Bank qualifying match, with Bliss and Cross getting the win and heading to the PPV event in July for the ladder match.
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have history in WWE, with the duo previously being a full time tag team for a good chunk of time on WWE programming.
“With me and Alexa, so much has happened over the last 6 months,” Cross began on RAW Talk. “She’s been through a lot, and I have been on a different journey. For tonight, the goal was just to win the match. The whole point was to qualify for the Money in the Bank match, and we achieved that goal. And now, fire, baby!”
Nikki Cross’ Superhero Gimmick
Cross also discussed her new superhero gimmick, saying “do I have superpowers? I know I don’t. I know I can’t fly or don’t have super strength. But the thing is, when I put on this outfit, I feel like I can do anything. I’m gonna keep trying and keep getting back up. All anyone can ever do is believe in themselves.”
So far, Asuka, Naomi, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross have already qualified for the Money In The Bank match, and 4 more SmackDown Superstars are set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
Nikki Cross posted the following on Instagram. “Bringing THIS to life has given me such joy,” she wrote. “The roll I have been on the last few weeks gave me the boost I needed to unveil this to the world, that everyone has that spark and they can try anything they want to, just listen to your heart.”
WWE decided to change up Nikki Cross’s gimmick as she is now sporting a superhero character.
On Monday’s episode of Raw, Alexa Bliss & Cross reunited to take on Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler with the winning team qualifying for the Women’s Money in the Bank match.
Before the match, WWE had Cross do a promo about how she’s been inspired by her big wins on Raw as of late over the likes of Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair so she decided to wrestle with a superhero mask over her eyes and a new costume.
Many fans picked up on how this is similar to the Mighty Molly gimmick from the early 2000s as Molly Holly also had a similar in-ring pose and mannerisms. It’s been reported that the WWE Hall of Famer has been working as a producer backstage for the company.
Bliss and Cross went over in the match. Also on this show, Asuka & Naomi beat Eva Marie and Doudrop to also qualify for the match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena.
The 2-time Women’s Tag Team Champion competes against Naomi on this week’s edition of Main Event.
She was drafted the the Raw brand back in October 2020. She last appeared on WWE television on February 1st, when she lost a singles match to Alexa Bliss.
WWE Main Event airs Thursdays on the Hulu streaming service.
Nikki Cross: Underutilized
Nikki Cross remains a fan favorite, despite WWE’s reluctance to feature her prominently. Back in January, she cut an impassioned promo expressing her anger and annoyance that she has “no momentum” in WWE.
“It may not be now, it may not even be in the near future, but one day, you’re all going to realize what exactly it is about me that got me to this point. So let me finish with this. I’m gonna be around in this industry for a very long time and I’m gonna go down as one of the best. And I am so done and I am so finished with not realizing that myself!”
WWE announced on the Clash of Champions Kickoff show that the scheduled women’s tag-team title match would not take place on the show. Champions Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax were set to defend their title against Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan, the Riott Squad.
It was announced that both Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax were not cleared to compete on the PPV. According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer, they were removed from the show due to COVID-19 concerns.
“Nikki Cross and Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax were all called…they were not medically cleared,” said Dave Meltzer.
“The actual issue is, you know it’s the COVID situation,” he continued. “I know at least one of the three and I think two of the three do not have COVID but they were in contact with someone who does. It might even be all three. But I know for sure one and I think two but it’s still they were afraid of a COVID spread.”
He would continue to say that at least two of the three wrestlers are not unhealthy.
“I don’t know how all their healths are but at least two of the three are not unhealthy as we speak,” Meltzer continued.
WWE has announced Nikki Cross vs. Bayley for the SmackDown women’s title at the Clash Of Champions PPV tonight but some latest developments have started speculations about the status of the former Sanity member.
The female challenger did not appear on this week’s episode of SmackDown despite it being the PPV go home episode of the show and Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that she was not backstage either.
The wrestling journalist further speculated on Cross’ availability for the PPV tonight, revealing that he did not get a clear answer when he inquired about it:
“If she’s there [at Clash of Champions], she’s there. I asked [on Saturday] morning if she was going to be there, and nobody got back to me, which is your answer,”
The standard company protocols call for a person to be quarantined for at least 14 days if they test positive, making them unavailable for active competition.
Though the company doesn’t reveal the name of any person who tests positive so the speculation about the SmackDown star are only rumors at this point and we should get a better idea about her status during tonight’s PPV event.
WWE Superstar Nikki Cross recently appeared on the Gorilla Position podcast in the UK. The Scottish born Superstar discussed a number of topics regarding her WWE career thus far, including her WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship win at WrestleMania 36. Over the past year Cross has been teaming with Alexa Bliss, in a team that many fans believed would be short lived. Nikki Cross would discuss how the team came together, and how her and Alexa Bliss are now best friends beyond the ring as well.
Nikki Cross on WrestleMania 36
Discussing her WrestleMania 36 win, Nikki Cross would say “to do it alongside Alexa, who’s someone that I could see speak all day about? And just have wonderful things to say about? To get to do it with her and to get to do it with my best friend? Was just fantastic.”
Teaming With Alexa Bliss
Cross would then move on to how the team was formed. “So it was almost a year ago now. Yeah, May last year. You know, we both had ideas that kind of involved involved the other [person], we had ideas to work together” Cross revealed. “And then we kind have on screen and off screen kind of developed [in a] very similar way. We became closer, you know, initial conversations and then it turned out a longer conversation that then turned into ,travelling together. You know sat next to each other as we’re waiting for the plane to board the plane. During the drives together; these four hour drives, and three hour drives together. You know, checking into the same hotel you know? It kind of just grew. Whatever you saw on screen was very much what happened off screen.”
Carmella and Dana Brooke challenged the new Tag Team Champions on SmackDown this week, you can check out the video for that below.
Do you think that Bliss and Cross will remain a team for the foreseeable future? Let us know in the comments
WWE Superstar Nikki Cross recently appeared on the Gorilla Position podcast. The Scottish born Superstar won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 36 this past weekend alongside her partner Alexa Bliss. Nikki Cross discussed this during the interview, describing the feeling of winning the belts for the 2nd time in front of an empty Performance Center.
Nikki Cross on WrestleMania 36 Moment
“It was such a fulfilling moment” Nikki Cross began. “It was, so emotional like, I mean i think it was funny. I was watching it back and I saw the photos, and there’s this hilarious moment. I’m just on my knees and the referee has given me the Championship title, and I can’t get up! I’m just like…I was just overwhelmed like you know? I think you can see it in my face. It was [also] on Alexa’s face you know? It was so emotional for both of us. Because we’re still connecting with fans, it’s just the fans are in a different location. And they’re all safe in their homes and they’re watching it through their television.”
Women’s Tag Team Division
The WWE Women’s Championships have seemingly taken a backseat over the past few months, whilst the Kabuki Warriors of Asuka and Kairi Sane are extremely talented and entertaining there just hasn’t been a viable push for the belts in recent memory. Nikki Cross would however say that her and Alexa Bliss care greatly about the division and want to see it thrive.
“We’re all striving to make this division special”
Nikki Cross
“We care so much about the women’s tag team division” Nikki Cross stated. “And we’re striving to make that the best we can. Because we’re nurturing that [division], it’s like a newborn baby. And you know, we speak, so many of the girls feel that way. That we’re all striving to make this division special and the best division it can be. Winning the championship from the Kabuki warriors…getting to compete against them in a match? A match I’m very proud of? It was, it was so so emotional and the emotion, everything was still there.”
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Bliss and Cross stepped into the squared circle against The Kabuki Warriors in the opening contest of the WrestleMania 36 – Night 1 pay-per-view event in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the WWE Network.
At the show, Bliss and Cross dethroned Asuka and Kairi Sane to win the titles.
It turns out that Sane and Asuka beat Cross and Bliss to win the titles at the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event in Sacramento, California at the Golden 1 Center last year.
This was a last-minute match addition as the company only announced it a few hours before the show went live on WWE’s streaming service.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when Sane and Asuka will get their rematch for the titles. This marks the second reign as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles for Bliss and Cross together.

Nikki Cross was recently interviewed by The Scottish Sun. During their conversation, she was asked about her marriage to NXT Superstar Killian Dain. She also addressed her partnership with Alexa Bliss, and what it’s like to have inspired others.
Marriage
Regarding her marriage, Cross admitted how both of them being in the business has been beneficial to their relationship. She noted that their fundamental understanding of the industry helps them make “sacrifices that are necessary.”
“The way we look at it, one day we will be 60 years old and be together every night,” Cross explained. “But we met through wrestling, love wrestling and understand that we’re both on the most amazing journey right now.”
She continued, “It helps a lot because there are times where one of us will leave for 10 days and we don’t see each other. He is in Florida and I’m on the road with Smackdown so it’s important when we do have time together we make sure it is quality time connecting and talking. I always have loads to catch him up on.”
Nikki Cross’ 2020 Goals & Inspiring Others
Cross reflected on how last year was “incredible” for her. She highlighted her partnership both on-screen and in real life with Alexa Bliss, sharing how they’ve become “really, really good friends.” Cross noted how her main goal for their team this year is to recapture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
On being a role model, Cross brought up other Scottish Superstars like Piper Niven and Kay Lee Ray. She spoke with pride about the women’s Evolution show and how she is thrilled that she can help inspire girls and Superstars.
“When I broke into wrestling there were lots of women I’d look up to. There are so many women from other generations that helped us get to this stage and contributed so much. And now it has got to the point where we’ve had a women’s only pay-per-view and see multiple matches on each show. It’s an empowering feeling and I’m so happy that girls can be inspired by that.”
Nikki Cross will be one of the competitors in this Sunday’s 30-woman Royal Rumble matchup.
Nikki Cross has reportedly signed a multi-year contract extension with WWE.
According to Squared Circle Sirens, Cross has signed a new deal that will see her stay a part of the company for an undisclosed number of years.
Cross, who is a SmackDown Superstar following this year’s 2019 WWE Draft, originally signed with the promotion in 2016. She made a name for herself amongst the WWE Universe as a member of Sanity during her time in NXT. She made her official main roster debut last year. Recently, Cross has been teaming with Alexa Bliss. The two are former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, holding those belts for 62 days before losing them to the current champions, The Kabuki Warriors.
Nikki Cross is scheduled to compete at this Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. She joins Sasha Banks, Carmella, Dana Brooke and Lacey Evans as a part of Team SmackDown. They compete against both Team RAW and Team NXT in a 5-on-5-on-5 traditional Survivor Series elimination match. Team RAW is comprised of Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Asuka, Kairi Sane and Sarah Logan. At the time of writing, the members of Team NXT have yet to be announced.
Survivor Series takes place Sunday, November 24th from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.
There is a new #1 contender in the WWE SmackDown women’s division and that’s Nikki Cross. This will be the next feud for Bayley.
During Friday’s episode of SmackDown in Indianapolis, IN at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on FOX, WWE held a match that would determine who is next line for a title shot.
A Six-Pack Challenge Match featuring Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose took place with the winner becoming the next challenger to SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.
As seen in the match, Cross ended up winning it. As a result, Cross has earned a future title match against Bayley. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on when this contest will take place.
How about that hug, @itsBayleyWWE? NIKKI wants to play with you.
WWE could save it for next week’s episode as that is a special episode for two reasons.
First up is the fact that it will mark the first time that SmackDown will air on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) due to the MLB Playoffs. Also, it will serve as the go-home show for the SmackDown brand for the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event.
This show will feature only male talent as female stars are not allowed to wrestle at the show.
Smackdown tonight emanates from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Yesterday, WWE booked an Intercontinental Championship match between Roman Reigns and champion Shinsuke Nakamura for the show. Today, WWE has added two more matches to tonight’s lineup.
The promotion has booked a 6-pack challenge for tonight. The winner of the match will earn a future shot at the Smackdown Women’s Championship. The match will feature the bulk of the newly drafted Smackdown women’s division including Carmella, Nikki Cross, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose. The only members of the division not in the match are Alexa Bliss, Tamina, and champion Bayley.
Also booked for tonight’s episode of Smackdown, is a match featuring the members of Smackdown’s tag team division. In the lead-up to the tag-team turmoil match at Crown Jewel, New Day will team with Heavy Machinery to take on the Revival, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode tonight.
