WWE NXT Recap & Results (1/17)

Sabbatelli & Moss vs Heavy Machinery

Dozovic and Sabbatelli started off the match. Tino connected with a Dropkick which was quickly shrugged off by Dozovic. Otis leveled Tino with a shoulder tackle and then caught Tino’s attempt at a Crossbody and slammed him to the canvas. Tucker Knight tagged in and beat down Sabbatelli some more.

Tino finally was able to tag out but Moss was launched across the ring by Knight. Dozovic tagged back in and dropped Moss with a Belly to Back Suplex. Knight tagged back in and got rolled up by Moss. Riddick had his feet on the ropes for leverage during the cover but the referee didn’t notice and counted to three.

Winners: Sabbatelli & Moss

Undisputed Era cut a backstage promo with their theme music playing throughout. Adam Cole commented on NXT GM William Regal’s announcement that his match against Aleister Black at NXT TakeOver Philadelphia is an Extreme Rules match. Cole stated that it being an Extreme Rules match is not an issue and is ready for the challenge.

Roderick Strong vs Fabian Aichner

Roderick started off the match in control and caught Aichner in a Headlock. Aichner wiggled free and the two Superstars got into a brief battle of submission holds before Fabian decked Strong with a shoulder tackle. Strong went for a Crossbody but the ridiculously strong Aichner caught him in midair and connected with a Powerslam as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Aichner connected with another slam but Strong responded with a Backbreaker. Strong lifted Aichner up onto his shoulders in a Fireman’s Carry but Aichner wouldn’t let go of the top rope. Aichner then hit a tilt-a-whirl Backbreaker and made his way to the top rope. Aichner leaped off the top for a Clothesline but Roderick countered into the Strong Hold for the submission victory.

Winner: Roderick Strong

After the match, Roderick Strong called out Lars Sullivan and vowed to put an end to his path of destruction.

TM61 had a backstage promo before a highlight reel was shown. There will be another video shown next week.

Aliyah vs Lacey Evans

Evans applied a Wrist Lock early but Aliyah was able to escape. Evans knocked Aliyah to the mat and connected with an Elbow Drop. Evans locked in an Arm Bar and used the ropes for leverage. Lacey remained on the attack and connected with a Bronco Buster in the corner. Aliyah battled back and planted Evans with a Northern Lights Suplex. Evans quickly took back control and hit Aliyah with a Jawbreaker. Evans then hit a big time right hand that knocked Aliyah out. Evans covered Aliyah for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Lacey Evans

After the match, Evans cut a promo and claimed that she was going to clean house in NXT. She mentioned NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon but was interrupted by Shayna Baszler. The two Superstars stared at each other in the ring, but Baszler turned her attention to Aliyah. Shayna choked out Aliyah in the ring as the officials hopelessly tried to break it up. NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon sprinted down to the ring and just like last week, Baszler got out of the ring before Moon could reach her.

Moon grabbed a microphone and challenged Baszler but Shayna said that she wasn’t in her ring gear and that Moon would have to wait. Moon told Baszler to name the time and place and Shayna suggested NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia and for that the match would be for the NXT Women’s Championship.

NXT GM William Regal was interviewed backstage. Regal made the match official for NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. Zelina Vega interrupted and claimed that Gargano has taken Velveteen Dream’s rightful spot in the NXT Championship match against her client, Andrade “Cien” Almas.

Johnny Gargano then stormed to the ring and grabbed a microphone. Gargano stated that he was sick of all the noise and claimed that he is not a fluke. Gargano said that this was his time and that nobody was going to stand in his way. Johnny announced that he will put his title shot on the line against Velveteen Dream next week on NXT.

Authors of Pain vs Street Profits (NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match)

Akam and Rezar took turns beating the hell out of Montez Ford early in the match as he was trapped in their corner. NXT went to a commercial break with Ford still getting dismantled by the Authors of Pain as Dawkins looked on from the apron.

When NXT returned, Ford was still trapped in the ring and couldn’t tag out. Finally, Ford was able to escape and tag in Dawkins. Dawkins cleaned house for a bit and connected with a flurry of Dropkicks and uppercuts. Ford recovered and tagged back into the match and hit a Dropkick. The Authors of Pain quickly regained control as Paul Ellering shouted instructions from ringside. Akam and Rezar hit the Super Collider and the Last Chapter for the pinfall victory. The Authors of Pain are now the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (1/10)

NXT kicked off with a backstage segment with Undisputed Era. Fish, O’Reilly and Cole stated that they will prove that they are the baddest team on the planet in 2018. Fish and O’Reilly said that they will put an end to SAnitY tonight when they defend their tag titles against them. Cole vowed to end anyone that gets in his way of becoming the next NXT Champion.

Shayna Baszler vs Dakota Kai

The NXT crowd chanted “Shayna’s gonna kill you!” as Baszler backed Kai into the corner. Baszler applied a Wrist Lock in the middle of the ring and then drove her foot into Dakota’s shoulder. Baszler booted Dakota in the face and then stomped on her elbow.

Kai screamed in pain and the referee called a stop to the match. Baszler was declared the winner as Dakota Kai was deemed unable to continue in the match. After the match, Baszler choked out Kai in the ring.

NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon rushed to the ring and Baszler laughed in the corner of the ring. Moon started shouting at Baszler as Shayna posed in the ring before leaving.

Winner: Shayna Baszler

The Authors of Pain cut a promo backstage with Paul Ellering. AOP wants their titles back and they don’t care who they have to go through to get them.

Christy St. Cloud tried top interview Baszler backstage. NXT GM William Regal immediately  interrupted and stated that he saw right through Baszler’s games. Regal noted that Baszler will not earn an NXT Women’s Championship match if she continues to attack people from behind. Baszler simply said “are we done here?” and walked away.

Kassius Ohno vs Raul Mendoza

Ohno and Mendoza shook hands before the match started. Mendoza applied a Headlock but Ohno reversed it into a roll-up for a one count. Ohno launched Mendoza towards the corner but Mendoza took down Ohno with a Headscissors for a one count. Raul hit a couple of kicks to Ohno’s chest and went for a third but Ohno caught him and booted him in the face.

Kassius delivered a chop that echoed throughout the arena and followed it up with a elbow to the face for a two count. Mendoza rolled up Kassius for a one count. Ohno connected with a Senton and went for the cover but Raul kicked out at the last moment. Menoza hit an Arm Drag but Ohno got right back up and launched Mendoza towards the corner. Raul leaped off the rope and hit a corkscrew Arm Drag. Mendoza followed it up with a springboard kick for another two count.

The crowd chanted for Ohno as Mendoza leaped onto Kassius’ shoulders. Ohno launched Mendoza into the ropes and hit the High Tension Elbow Strike for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kassius Ohno

Zelina Vega was interviewed backstage and she claimed that Gargano got lucky in earning a shot at the NXT Championship. Vega stated that Johnny Wrestling is a lie and that Andrade “Cien” Almas is reality. Vega added that Almas is ready and that they are taking their title defense against Gargano very seriously. Almas will defend his NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th.

Christy St. Cloud interviewed Johnny Gargano backstage. Gargano was interrupted by Velveteen Dream and demanded that Gargano thank him. Velveteen Dream stated that Gargano got lucky and poked fun at it taking Gargano twenty minutes to defeat Kassius Ohno. Dream added that Gargano didn’t earn his spot and that that he deserves his spot. Dream also claimed that Gargano has no shot against Andrade “Cien” Almas at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.

Street Profits were shown walking around backstage for an episode of “Street Talk”. They joined NXT GM Willliam Regal in his office and brought up the fact that they were undefeated. Ford and Dawkins asked Regal when they would get a shot at the gold. Regal announced that next week the Street Profits will face the Authors of Pain to determinte the #1 contenders for the NXT Tag Championships.

Lio Rush vs Lars Sullivan

Sullivan missed with his attacks early as Lio Rush kept escaping. Rush connected with a rolling heel kick and went for another but Sullivan grabbed him by the throat and slammed Rush into the top rope. Sullivan launched Lio into the turnbuckle and then charged at him but Rush escaped once again.

Lars charged at Rush again in the corner but Rush leaped out of the way and Sullivan crashed into the ring post. It didn’t matter though as Sullivan recovered quickly and decked Rush with a ridiculous Clothesline. Lars then hit the Freak Accident for the quick pinfall victory.

After the match, Sullivan grabbed a microphone and stated that all of his opponents have fallen by his hands. Lars said that he dealt with a force two weeks ago that he has never felt before. Sullivan added that it brought him joy because it is a force that he wants to destroy. Sullivan then challenged Killian Dain and delivered another Freak Accident to Lio Rush off the second rope.

Winner: Lars Sullivan

The cameras quickly cut backstage as the Undisputed Era was shown beating down SAnitY backstage. Officials broke it up and Cole, Fish and O’Reilly walked away.Undisputed Era then made their way down to the ring with gigantic smiles on their faces and grabbed a few microphones.

Cole, Fish and O’Reilly joking asked “where is SAnitY?” and Bobby Fish wondered if maybe forgot about the match. Cole said that they kicked the chaos out of SAnitY and Nikki Cross sprinted to the entrance ramp as officials held her back. Cross essentially had to be tackled and dragged backstage by the officials as the NXT crowd chanted her name.

Cole tried to continue the promo but NXT GM William Regal interrupted and came down to the entrance. Regal said that this was ridiculous and that Fish and O’Reilly will be defending their NXT Tag Team Championships tonight. Roderick Strong interrupted and said that he will fight Undisputed Era and will head backstage to find a partner. Aleister Black’s music hit and Black joined Strong on the entrance ramp. The crowd chanted “Aleister!” as Black stared at Undisputed Era. Black stated “as will I” and the two rushed the ring.

NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) (c) vs Aleister Black & Roderick Strong

Strong and Black rushed the ring and knocked Fish and O’Reilly out of the ring as NXT went to a break. When NXT returned, the match started with Black and O’Reilly in the ring. Black controlled the match early and Strong connected with a Dropkick to Bobby Fish outside the ring. Black locked in an Arm Bar on O’Reilly in the center of the ring.

Strong tagged in and dropped O’Reilly with a kick to the face for a two count. Strong delivered a chop to O’Reilly’s chest and followed it up with a Backbreaker for a two count. Strong remained on the attack and applied a Chin Lock. Strong quickly tagged Black back in and Bobby Fish took out Black on the ring apron as NXT went to a another break.

When NXT returned, Fish and O’Reilly were in control of the match. Fish tagged in and beatdown Black in the corner. Fish hit a Senton on Black and went for the cover but Aleister kicked out at two. Fish and O’Reilly trapped Black in the corner and took turns beating him down. O’Reilly tagged in and blasted Black in the face with a few jabs while he was on the mat. O’Reilly tagged in Fish and then knocked Strong off the ring apron.

Bobby Fish planted Black with an Exploder Suplex and went for the cover but Strong leaped into the ring to break up the cover. Fish applied a rear Chin Lock in the middle of the ring but Black quickly battled up to his feet. Black broke free and kneed Fish in the face and both Superstars fell to the canvas.

O’Reilly and Strong were tagged back in and Strong beat the hell out of the champions for a minute. Strong connected with a Dropkick to O’Reilly and then slammed O’Reilly into Fish in the corner. Strong hit O’Reilly with a Backbreaker and then delivered a Belly to Belly Suplex to Fish and Bobby landed on top of O’Reilly. Fish recovered and knocked Black off the ring apron. Strong launched Fish out of the ring and then connected with a massive knee strike to Kyle O’Reilly’s jaw. Black leveled Fish with a boot to the face outside the ring and then tossed O’Reilly back into the ring.

Adam Cole punched Black in the face outside the ring but Aleister shrugged it off. Cole escaped through the crowd but Aleister Black followed him. Back in the ring, Fish and O’Reilly connected with the Total Elimination for the pinfall victory. Adam Cole chuckled on the stairs in the crowd as Black ran back to the ring. Black connected with a couple of kicks to Fish and O’Reilly but Cole joined the party in the ring. Cole launched Black into the ring post and instructed Fish and O’Reilly to hold Black back. Cole taunted Black and then booted him in the face.

Fish and O’Reilly then leveled Black and Cole stood over Aleister in the ring. Cole told O’Reilly to bring a chair into the ring and then continued to taunt Black. Cole lifted Black up in a Fireman’s Carry and then dropped Black spine-first into the steel chair. Cole put his boot on Black’s chest as Undisputed Era posed with their NXT Tag Team Championships.

Winners & Still NXT Tag Team Champions: Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly)

After the match, NXT GM William Regal came down to the entrance ramp and announced that Cole’s match against Aleister Black is now an Extreme Rules match. Cole got right in Regal’s face but Regal didn’t back down. Undisputed Era eventually backed away and made their way backstage as NXT went off the air.

WWE NXT (1/3) Year In Review Episode Highlights: McIntyre vs. Cole, Ember Moon’s Journey & More

WWE NXT aired a two hour Year in a Review episode of NXT tonight. Highlights of 2017’s biggest feuds and matches were shown, as well as some new interviews as we head towards NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th.

Footage from the NXT Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Adam Cole from an NXT live event in San Antonio on November 17th was shown. Shawn Michaels was the special referee for the match and wound up on the receiving end of a Superkick by Adam Cole. Michaels also hit Kyle O’Reilly with Sweet Chin Music later in the match. McIntyre retained his NXT Championship against Cole, but lost it the following night at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. McIntyre tore his bicep during the match against Andrade “Cien” Almas and will be out for some time.

NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega were interviewed and discussed Almas defending his title against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th. Almas and Vega stated that Gargano isn’t even worth their time and Almas vowed to break him at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.

Gargano stated that he is going to walk out of NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia as the new NXT Champion.

NXT’s competitive women’s division was highlighted during the show in the following video. Shayna Baszler was featured in the video and she is set to make her in-ring debut next week.

NXT’s tag team division was also covered during tonight’s two hour special. Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly are the current NXT Tag Team Champions.

NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon discussed her journey to WWE and the obstacles she had to overcome to arrive in NXT.

WWE NXT 2017 Year-End Awards Details, Categories & Nominees

On tonight’s episode of WWE NXT it was announced that the winners of the 2017 NXT Year-End Awards will be announced the night of NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th. The winners will be announced across all digital platforms and on the WWE Network. You can vote now by using the hashtags on Twitter.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (12/27)

Street Profits vs Kris Starr & Riley Apex

Ford and Dawkins won this match with ease after Ford connected with a Frog Splash. It was a squash match. After their victory, the Street Profits went into the crowd and dissed the Authors of Pain, the Undisputed Era and SAnitY. They then vowed to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships in 2018.

Winners: Street Profits

NXT Women’s Championship: Ember Moon (c) vs Sonya Deville

Deville controlled the match early and tried to lock in a Knee Bar but Moon escaped. Moon connected with an Arm Drag and then the two Superstars traded shots in the ring. Moon hit a Dropkick that knocked Sonya out of the ring. Ember launched off the ring apron and connected with with a Cannonball as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Sonya Deville was back in control of the match. Deville locked in a Bear Hug while Moon was on the canvas. Ember broke free and sent Deville into the corner. Moon connected with a big springboard Dropkick and then quickly hit The Eclipse for the pinfall victory.

Winner & Still NXT Women’s Champion: Ember Moon

Kairi Sane came down to the entrance ramp with her spyglass. Sane looked at Ember’s title and Moon seemed up for the challenge. Shayna Baszler then appeared out of nowhere from behind Sane and choked her out. Officials rushed to the entrance ramp to break it up.

Paul Ellering cut a promo about the history of Authors of Pain. Rezar and Akam were shown pissed off behind him. Ellering stated that the Undisputed Era will not write their next chapter and that Cole, Fish and O’Reilly are on borrowed time.

Christy St. Cloud interviewed NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon backstage. Moon was asked about what happened tonight and Moon stated that she knew she would have a target on her back once she won the title. Moon insisted that she was ready for whoever wants to challenge her and noted that she didn’t care if it was Baszler or Sane.

Fatal 4-Way To Determine The #1 Contender For NXT Championship: Aleister Black vs Johnny Gargano vs Killian Dain vs Lars Sullivan

The match started out with a bang and Black knocked the gigantic Lars Sullivan out of the ring. Black connected with a kick on Dain and went for a Moonsault but was caught and launched to the ring apron. Gargano attempted a Moonsault as well and suffered the same fate. Dain connected with a Suicide Dive onto Sullivan as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Dain was beating the hell out of Johnny Gargano in the corner. Sullivan tossed Aleister Black into the announcer’s area and then casually threw Gargano on top of him. Sullivan cleared off the announce table and tried to Powerbomb Gargano but Johnny escaped.

Black and Gargano formed a brief alliance and slammed Lars through the announce table. Dain tried to leap onto them but Black and Gargano got out of the way and Dain landed on Sullivan and the table crumbled. The action returned to the ring with Black and Gargano. Black connected with a kick but Johnny quickly locked in the Gargano Escape. Dain hit them both with a Senton and the hold was broken.

Gargano and Black formed another brief alliance and Powerbombed Dain off the top rope. Sullivan woke up from his slumber as the rest of the Superstars were laid out in the ring. Sullivan launched Black out of the ring and hit Gargano with the Freak Accident. Dain broke it up. Sullivan and Dain battled for a bit before Aleister got into the ring and hit Black Mass on Sullivan. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly ran to the ring and grabbed Black. Aleister took them down but Adam Cole made his way to the ring.

Black tried to knee Cole but missed and hit the ring apron. Adam Cole then delivered a Neckbreaker to Black outside the ring. Gargano leaped onto Cole and  rolled Aleister Black back into the ring. Gargano connected with a massive DDT to the beaten down Aleister Black for the pinfall victory. The crowd went nuts when Gargano won the match. Gargano will now face Andrade “Cien” Almas at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27th for the NXT Championship.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (12/13)

This week’s episode of NXT aired on the USA Network at 7 PM Eastern and then on the WWE Network at 8 PM.

Andrade “Cien” Almas vs. Fabian Aichner

Andrade connected with a Dropkick right when the match started. Fabian battled back and hit a Backbreaker. Aichner remained on the attack and planted Almas with a Tornado DDT. Aichner followed it with a Powerslam and went for the cover but Almas kicked out at two. Almas got frustrated and slung Aichner into the steel steps outside the ring. The action returned to the ring and Almas quickly hit the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas

A vignette was shown for Aleister Black. He will face Adam Cole later during the show.

A vignette of Ember Moon’s journey to capture the NXT Women’s Championship was shown.

Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch vs. Authors of Pain

Danny Burch and Akam started off the match and Akam quickly took control. Lorcan was tagged in and he knocked both Akam and Rezar to the canvas. Burch joined Lorcan in beating down Akam and Rezar. AOP then turned the tables on Lorcan and Burch and planted them both with Death Valley Drivers. Akam and Rezar followed it up with the Super Collider and then hit the Last Chapter for the easy pinfall victory.

It was announced that the UK Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championships will be defended next week.

SAnitY cut an ominous promo from an unknown location. They will be defending their titles next week against Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.

Shayna Baszler was revealed to be the Superstar hyped up last week with the spades vignette.

Adam Cole vs Aleister Black (Fatal 4-Way Qualifier)

Adam Cole controlled the match early as he took Black down to the canvas. Cole taunted Black and that pissed him off. Aleister launched Cole across the ring and connected with a flurry of kicks that knocked Cole out of the ring. NXT went to a commercial break with Aleister Black sitting in the middle of the ring as Cole was on the outside.

When NXT returned, Cole was back in control of the match and had a Chin Lock applied in the middle of the ring. The crowd cheered on Black as he fought through the pain and slowly made his way towards the bottom rope. Cole then stomped on Black several times while talking trash at the same time.

Cole backed off his attack and allowed Black to get back up to his feet. Black used the opening to hit Cole with some ridiculous kicks and then Aleister followed it up with a springboard Hurricanrana. Aleister went for the Black Mass but Cole was able to dodge it. Black connected with a kick for a two count. Cole planted Black with a Backstabber for a two count.

Both Superstars traded punches in the middle of the ring. Cole got the upper-hand and connected with a Neckbreaker for a two count. Cole attempted to knee Black in the face but Aleister blocked it. Cole then went for a Superkick but Black once again blocked it. Cole once again started barking at Aleister and wound up getting caught with Black Mass for the pinfall victory.

Ember Moon vs Peyton Royce

This match was shown on the WWE Network broadcast. Ember won the match but was attacked by Billie Kay after her victory. Peyton Royce joined in on the fun and started beating down Ember Moon as well. Nikki Cross came down to the ring to save Ember Moon.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (12/6)

NXT GM William Regal announced that the #1 contender for the NXT Championship will be determined by an 8 man tournament and two matches will be happening tonight. There will be four matches and the four winners will qualify for a Fatal 4-Way to determine the #1 contender. Killian Dain will face Trent Seven. Regal added that Kassius Ohno was supposed to face Velveteen Dream tonight in the tournament, but Dream cannot compete due to injury. Regal stated that he has found a suitable replacement for the match later tonight.

NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega came down to the ring for a championship celebration. Zelina Vega instructed the crowd to rise for their champion. Almas grabbed the microphone and shouted “I told you” and then shouted “I am the new NXT Champion” to the crowd on every side of the ring. Almas then jokingly apologized for hurting Drew McIntyre and posed with the title.

Lars Sullivan vowed to destroy Roderick Strong in their match in two weeks and advance in the tournament to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Championship.

Killian Dain vs Trent Seven (Fatal 4-Way Qualifier Match)

Dain connected with a massive Dropkick to start off the match that knocked him to the mat. Dain followed it up with a Body Slam for a one count. Seven battled back and planted Dain with a DDT. Dain hit Seven with the Divide (Crossbody) for a two count. Trent connected with the Seven Star Lariat for a two count. Dain slammed Seven to the mat and hit followed it up with a Senton and a Vader Bomb for the pinfall victory.

Trent Seven is now eliminated from the tournament and Killian Dain has advanced to the Fatal 4-Way match to determine the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship.

Ruby Riott vs Sonya Deville (No Holds Barred Match)

Deville started off the match in control and planted Riott with a Gutwrench Suplex. Riott battled back and beatdown Deville in the corner. Sonya knocked Riott to the canvas and applied an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Riott eventually broke the hold but clutched her leg in pain as NXT went to a commercial.

When NXT returned, Deville poked Riott in the eyes and then booted Ruby in the midsection for a two count. Deville remained on the attack and connected with a sliding knee to Riott’s back for a two count. Deville then hit a Clothesline for another two count.

The crowd chanted “Ruby!” as Deville locked in a Triangle submission hold in the middle of the ring. Ruby broke free and planted Deville with an STO. Riott elbowed Deville in the face and then connected with a springboard DDT for a two count. Deville rolled out of the ring and Riott hit her with a Suicide Dive. Riott brought Sonya back into the ring but Deville booted her in the face on the ring apron. Deville locked in a Triangle choke while Riott was hung up on the bottom rope. Riott couldn’t escape and passed out.

Ember Moon was interviewed and Moon said that she wanted to be the best NXT Women’s Champion of all-time. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce interrupted and said that Ember didn’t pin her at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. Kay and Royce then started arguing about who will face Ember Moon next week. Royce won the argument after saying she had unfinished business with Moon. Kay asked Royce not to beat up Moon too badly because she wants to finish her off.

A vignette was shown for a new Superstar coming to NXT in the near future.

Kassius Ohno vs Johnny Gargano (Fatal 4-Way Qualifier Match)

Dueling “Johnny Wrestling!” and “Kassius Ohno” were chanted throughout the crowd as the two Superstars stared at each other. Ohno extended his hand and the two shook hands before the match started. Ohno launched Gargano across the ring to start off the match. Gargano quickly got back up and hit Ohno with a Dropkick.

Gargano went for a slingshot Spear but Ohno caught him and connected with a forearm that knocked Johnny out of the ring as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Ohno was still in control of the match. Gargano fought back for a brief moment but Kassius booted him right in the face for a two count.

Johnny escaped a Suplex attempt by Ohno and then hit a Hurricanrana off the second rope. Gargano followed it up with an Enziguri that knocked Ohno out of the ring. Kassius got back into the ring and Gargano connected with the slingshot Spear for a two count. Gargano missed with a kick and Ohno connected with a Senton. Gargano rolled to the ring apron and Ohno shouted “you’re done” at Gargano. Ohno then hit a massive kick that knocked Gargano out of the ring.

Ohno tried to flip onto Johnny outside the ring but Gargano avoided it and Kassius landed on his feet. Gargano then connected with a Tornado DDT onto the entrance ramp. The action returned to the ring and Ohno hit the Cyclone Kick but Gargano kicked out at two. Ohno lifted Gargano up onto his shoulders but Johnny escaped with a roll-up for a two count.

Ohno connected with another massive kick and followed it up with a ridiculous forearm but Gargano somehow was still able to kick out. Gargano connected with a Superkick and then hit a flying Headscissors into the Gargano Escape for the pinfall victory in a terrific match. Gargano advances to the Fatal 4-Way and Kassius Ohno is eliminated.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (11/29)

Street Profits vs Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss

Dawkins and Moss started off the match. Moss shoved Dawkins and then rolled out of the ring and had a conversation with Sabbatelli. Moss got back in the ring and leveled Dawkins with a shoulder tackle. Moss followed it up with a Body Slam and started to trash talk Dawkins.

Dawkins connected with a shoulder tackle and a slam of his own and then tagged in Montez Ford. Montez locked in a Headlock but Sabbatelli was able to tag himself in. Sabbatelli connected with a Crossbody and then started barking at the crowd. Ford got back up and hit Sabbatelli with a Dropkick. Moss sprinted in the ring and the Street Profits knocked him back out of the ring with a Clothesline and posed in the ring as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Ford booted Moss on the ring apron but Sabbatelli connected with a forearm that knocked Ford to the floor outside the ring. Sabbatelli brought Ford back into the ring and hit him with a flurry of right hands. Sabbatelli once again got distracted by the crowd for a moment but still launched Ford into the corner.

Moss was tagged in and he hit a Splash onto Ford in the corner. Moss stood over Ford and started dancing like the Street Profits. Moss hit Ford with a right hand and started taunting Dawkins on the ring apron. Moss connected with an elbow for a two count and then punched Ford in the face a few times.

Moss applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring and the crowd started chanting “lets go Profits!”. Ford slowly powered to his feet and connected with a couple of punches to Moss’ ribs. Ford tried to leap across the ring to tag in Dawkins but Moss blocked him and sent him to the corner. Moss charged at Ford in the corner but missed and slammed into the ring post.

Sabbatelli and Dawkins were tagged in and Dawkins planted Tino with a Bulldog. Dawkins connected with a Splash to both Moss and Sabbatelli. Dawkins leveled Sabbatelli with a right hand and went for the cover but Moss broke it up. Dawkins launched Moss out of the ring and went for a roll-up on Tino but Sabbatelli kicked out.

Moss hit Dawkins with a forearm and then Tino went for the cover. Moss tried to hold Dawkins’ feet down so he couldn’t kick out but the referee caught him. Ford booted Moss in the face from the ring apron and then the Street Profits teamed up on Sabbattelli. Dawkins slammed Tino to the mat and then Ford hit a Splash off the top rope for the pinfall victory.

Mark Andrews stated that he was teaming up with Pete Dunne tonight under one condition. Andrews said that if they win, he will become the #1 contender for the UK Championship. Dunne and Andrews will face Trent Seven and Tyler Bate later tonight.

Kairi Sane vs Peyton Royce

Billie Kay accompanied Peyton Royce down to the ring for this match. Royce connected with a forearm that knocked Sane to the mat to start off the match. Royce planted Sane with a Hip Toss and went for another one but Sane reversed it into a roll-up for a two count. Sane connected with a Dropkick for a two count.

Billie Kay distracted Sane and Royce connected with a spinning kick for another two count. Royce went for a Suplex but Sane countered into another roll-up and Royce kicked out at two as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Royce was in control and had Sane in a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring.

Sane broke free but Royce knocked back to the canvas with a kick. Royce launched Sane into the corner and charged at her but Sane ducked and Royce bounced off the turnbuckle. Sane connected with a Spear and both Superstars fell to the mat. Both Superstars got back up and Royce went for a punch but Sane blocked it and hit a Blockbuster.

Sane then marched to the corner of the ring and connected with a sliding forearm as Royce was leaning against the bottom turnbuckle. Kairi leaped off the top rope but Royce got out of the way and hit a running knee for a two count. Sane knocked Royce to the mat and beat her down with a series of stomps. Billie Kay hopped up onto the ring apron but Sane quickly knocked her to the floor with an elbow to the face. Sane then climbed to the top rope and hit the Insane Elbow for the pinfall victory.

Ruby Riott versus Sonya Deville in a No Holds Barred match was announced for next week’s episode of NXT.

There will also be a celebration for new NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas next week.

Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs Pete Dunne & Mark Andrews

Bate and Dunne started off the match as the crowd chanted “UK!”. Dunne wrestled Bate to the mat but Bate escaped and both Superstars got back to their feet and stared at each other. Dunne pretended that he was going to tag in Andrews but instead turned around and clocked Bate in the face. Dunne then did tag in Andrews and Bate greeted him with a Dropkick.

Bate connected with an uppercut and tagged in Trent Seven. Bate leaped off of Seven’s shoulders and hit a Senton Bomb. Seven went for the cover but Andrews kicked out at two. Andrews connected with a Dropkick for a two count and then locked in an Arm Bar on Seven. Dunne tagged himself in and started twisting Seven’s fingers.

Seven hit a chop and then a DDT for a two count. Dunne elbowed Seven in the face and tagged in Andrews. The referee didn’t see the tag and prevented Andrews from getting the ring. Seven was distracted by this and Dunne leveled him with a Clothesline as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Andrews was tagged in and he locked in the Arm Bar again on Seven. Andrews launched Seven to the corner and tried to leap onto him but Seven caught him. Dunne tagged himself in and planted Seven with a Backstabber for a two count. Dunne stomped on Seven’s shoulder as he screamed in pain. Dunne then hit Double Knees into Seven’s lower back.

Andrews tagged back in for a moment but Dunne slapped Andrews in the back to tag himself back into the match. Dunne booted Seven in the face and stared at Andrews on the ring apron. Seven leveled Dunne with the Seven Stars Lariat and crawled across the ring to tag in Tyler Bate.

Bate connected with a series of uppercuts and then planted Dunne with an Exploder Suplex. Bate hit a standing Shooting Star Press for a two count. Andrews tagged back in and hit a Double Stomp onto Bate’s midsection. Andrews charged at Bate in the corner but Tyler blocked it and kneed Andrews in the chest. Both Superstars were on the top rope and Dunne tagged himself in.

Andrews hit a Frankensteiner on Bate and Dunne caught Bate in midair and planted him with a Powerbomb in an absolutely ridiculous sequence. The crowd chanted “fight forever” as Dunne and Bate traded shots in the ring. Seven was tagged in and he connected with a Suplex. Bate was quickly tagged back into the match.

Dunne hit an Enziguri to Seven that knocked him out of the ring. Bate lifted Dunne in the air and Andrews tagged himself in. Bate planted Dunne with a German Suplex and Andrews connected with a Splash off the top rope for a two count. Bate lifted Andrews up onto his shoulders and spun around several times. Dunne tagged himself back in and went for a roll-up but Bate kicked out at two. Bate hit a massive Clothesline and followed it up with the Tyler Driver 97 for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Dunne attacked Mark Andrews from behind and knocked him to the canvas with a forearm to the back of his head. Dunne went to walk backstage but sprinted back into the ring and hit Andrews with the Bitter End as NXT went off the air.

Ruby Riot vs Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville made her main roster debut on RAW this past Monday as a part of Paige’s entourage. Ruby Riot also debuted on the main roster last night during SmackDown. Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan attacked Becky Lynch, Naomi, Natalya and Charlotte last night during SmackDown.

The match started out back and forth. Deville got the upper-hand and attacked Riot’s knee as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Deville was still in control and had Riot trapped in the corner. Riot attempted a roll-up but Deville kicked out and then planted Riot with a Spinebuster for a two count.

Deville connected with a roundhouse kick to Riot’s midsection and then went for the cover but Riot kicked out at two. Riot connected with an elbow but Deville knocked her to the ring apron. Riot leaped back into the ring and planted Deville with a DDT and both Superstars fell to the canvas.

Ruby hit a series of chops and then followed it up with three Clotheslines in a row. Riot followed it up with an STO and a Senton for a two count. Deville knocked Riot to the mat with a knee and followed it up with a Shining Wizard. Sonya applied the Triangle Arm Bar and then transitioned into an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring.

Riot slowly made her way towards the bottom rope and broke the hold. Deville flipped out at the referee and took her focus off of Ruby Riot. Ruby then hit a roundhouse kick for the pinfall victory.

Lars Sullivan was interviewed following his victory over Kassius Ohno at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. Sullivan challenged anyone to step in his way and they to will be destroyed by his hands only.

Ember Moon was interviewed after capturing the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver WarGames. Moon said that this was a dream come true for her and that all her hard finally work paid off.

Drew McIntyre was interviewed after losing his NXT Championship and also suffering an injury at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. McIntyre said that he knowns his injury isn’t good and that he won’t know how long he will be out until he talks to his doctor. McIntyre vowed to return and reclaim his NXT Championship.

Moss and Sabbatelli versus Street Profits was announced for next week. Kairi Sane versus Peyton Royce was also announced for next week’s episode of NXT.

UK Championship: Pete Dunne (c) vs Johnny Gargano

Dueling “Johnny Wrestling!” and “Bruiserweight!” chants echoed throughout the crowd in Houston as the match started. Dunne connected with a big time punch and followed it up with a chop. Gargano hit a Dropkick that knocked Dunne out of the ring. Gargano followed it up with a Cannonball off the ring apron onto Dunne outside the ring.

Gargano went for a Tornado DDT off the ring apron but Dunne reversed it into a Suplex of his own and Gargano crashed off the ring apron as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Dunne was still in control and stomped on Gargano’s fingers in the ring. Gargano Suplexed Dunne into the turnbuckle and followed it up with a chop.

Gargano connected with a slingshot Spear from the ring apron for a two count. Dunne rolled out of the ring and Gargano leaped onto him and planted Dunne with a DDT outside the ring. The action returned to the ring and Gargano went for another slingshot DDT but Dunne caught him and slammed Gargano to the canvas for a two count. The crowd chanted  “NXT!” as Dunne made his way back to his feet.

Dunne lifted Gargano up but Johnny countered it into a DDT. Johnny then applied the Gargano Escape in the middle of the ring. Dunne took out his mouthguard and started biting Gargano’s fingers until he broke the hold. Dunne went for the Bitter End but Gargano reversed it into a roll-up for a two count. Dunne hit an Enziguri but Gargano bounced off the ropes and leveled Dunne with a Clothesline.

The crowd chanted “this is awesome” as Gargano had Dunne’s mouthguard in his hand. Gargano grinned and then connected with a Superkick to Dunne’s face for a two count. Dunne and Gargano traded punches in the middle of the ring. Dunne threw Gargano to the ring apron. Gargano tried to leap onto Dunne from the apron but Dunne caught him with a forearm to the face. Dunne then connected with the Bitter End for the pinfall victory.

Street Profits vs Tino Sabbatelli & Riddick Moss

Dawkins and Sabbatelli started off the match. Dawkins connected with a shoulder tackle and tagged in Montez Ford. Dawkins and Ford Dropkicked Moss out of the ring. Sabbatelli clubbed Ford in the back of the head and then tagged in Moss who had made his way back to the ring apron. Moss planted Ford with a Belly to Back Suplex and then posed for the crowd.

Sabbatelli was tagged back in and continued the beatdown of Ford. Sabbatelli took a break to mock Dawkins on the ring apron. Ford leaped across the ring and tagged in Dawkins. Sabbatelli got distracted by Ford on the ring apron. Tino knocked Ford off the ring around but turned around into a big time punch from Dawkins for the pinfall victory.

Winners: Street Profits

Raul Mendoza vs Lars Sullivan

Lars trapped Mendoza in the corner and connected with a massive Splash. Sullivan followed it up with a ridiculous Powerslam and then stood over Mendoza. Lars lifted Mendoza up by his head and bashed him in the face several times. Sullivan then slammed Mendoza to the mat and covered him for the easy victory.

After the match, Lars grabbed Mendoza again but Kassius Ohno came down to the ring. Lars laughed in Ohno’s face and left the ring. Sullivan and Ohno will battle at NXT TakeOver: WarGames this Saturday night.

Gargano was shown backstage with NXT GM William Regal. Johnny Gargano versus Pete Dunne for the UK Championship was announced for next week.

Mercedes Martinez vs Ember Moon

Moon and Martinez locked up to start off the match. Martinez got the upper-hand and applied a Headlock. Moon broke free but Martinez knocked her to the canvas with a shoulder tackle. Martinez locked in another Headlock on the mat in the middle of the ring. The crowd cheered Moon on as she powered to her feet. Martinez broke the hold and punched Moon in the face. Ember responded with a boot to Martinez’s face.

Ember connected with a Dropkick for a two count. Moon launched Martinez into the turnbuckle and hit a Clothesline. Moon charged at Martinez but Mercedes was ready and planted Ember with a Spinebuster for a two count as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Moon went for a roll-up but Martinez kicked out at two. Moon missed with a kick and Martinez hit a chop that echoed throughout the arena. Moon fell to the mat in pain and Martinez picked Ember back up and planted her with a Suplex. Martinez didn’t let go and followed it up with two more Suplexes for a two count.

Mercedes went for another Suplex but Moon blocked it and connected with an Enziguri. Moon followed it up with a Hurricanrana then sent Martinez out of the ring. Ember then hit a Suicide Dive as the crowd chanted “NXT!”. The action returned to the ring and Moon climbed up to the top rope. Martinez got back up and booted Ember in the face. Martinez connected with the Tower of London for a two count. Martinez quickly went for another cover but Moon kicked out again.

Martinez went for another Suplex but Moon reversed it into a roll-up for a two count. Martinez got tangled up in the ropes and Moon connected with a knee that knocked Mercedes to the canvas. Moon then hit the Eclipse for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce and Kairi Sane appeared as Moon stood in the ring. Those four Superstars will compete for the vacant NXT Women’s Championship in a Fatal 4-Way match at NXT TakeOver: Wargames.

NXT Champion Drew McIntyre came down to the ring. McIntyre grabbed the microphone and congratulated Almas on getting his title shot at NXT TakeOver: Wargames. McIntyre said that Almas and Vega are now in trouble. McIntyre wondered if Almas was ready for the big stage at WarGames. Drew then challenged Andrade “Cien” Almas to come down to the ring and face him like a man. McIntyre joked that Zelina Vega may not let Almas off the her leash for the night.

Zelina Vega then came down to the entrance ramp and twirled her hair while staring at McIntyre. Almas finally joined her and he quickly took off his suit jacket and charged the ring. McIntyre took off his shirt and launched it into the crowd. McIntyre and Almas traded shots as Vega climbed up to the top rope. Vega leaped onto to McIntyre but Drew caught her. Almas chop-blocked McIntyre in the knee and then planted him with the Hammerlock DDT. Vega then grabbed the NXT Championship and shouted at Almas that the title will be his. Vega then tossed the title on top of McIntyre and exited the ring with Almas.

Drew McIntyre will defend his NXT Championship against Andrade “Cien” Almas this Saturday at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (10/25)

NXT GM William Regal announced that Nikki Cross will get another oppurtunity to qualify for the NXT Women’s Championship Fatal 4-Way at NXT Houston during tonight’s Battle Royal. Cross was cost the chance to qualify due to outside interference from Taynara Conti, who was manipulated by the Undisputed Era to come down to the ring during the match. Regal added that SAnitY will face the Authors of Pain next week and that the member of SAnitY that does not compete in the match will be banned from ringside.

Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan vs Riddick Moss & Tino Sabbatelli

Lorcan chopped Moss across the chest and then connected with a Dropkick to start off the match. Burch was then tagged in and Moss beat him down and drove him to the corner of the ring. Sabbatelli entered the match and launched Burch into the corner. Tino charged at him but Burch was ready and connected with a quick Dropkick off the second rope.

Sabbatelli leveled Burch with a Clothesline and then tagged in Moss. Riddick brought Burch back to the corner and connected with a flurry of punches. Tino entered the match again and hit Burch with a Dropkick for a two count. Tino applied a Chin Lock but Burch quickly broke free. Tino connected with a knee to Burch’s midsection and then tagged in Moss.

Burch was finally able to escape and leaped across the ring to tag in Lorcan. Oney went crazy and connected with several uppercuts and then a Blockbuster to Moss. Riddick knocked Lorcan to the mat and then in Sabbatelli. Moss lifted Lorcan up on his shoulders and Tino drove him to the canvas with a Running Bulldog for the pinfall victory.

Nikki Cross sprinted towards Taynara Conti to start off the Battle Royal. Cross knocked Conti to the ring apron and then shoved her out of the ring to eliminate her. Conti dragged Cross under the bottom rope and then threw her into the barricade. Conti was then escorted backstage by a referee. Peyton Royce ran down to the ringside area and threw Cross into the steel steps.

Rhea Ripley and Zeda were then eliminated by Bianca Belair as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Dakota Kai was eliminated by Sage Beckett. Aliyah was next to be eliminated as Nikki Cross scaled the turnbuckle and leaped onto several Superstars in the ring.

Cross started headbutting everyone in sight and then eliminated Vanessa Borne and Sage Beckett. Cross then eliminated Abbey Laith and Santana Garrett. Sarah Logan was then eliminated by Mercedes Martinez. Lacey Evans was eliminated by Candice LaRae. Bianca Belair and LaRae traded punches as Candice was perched up on the top turnbuckle.

Belair then lifted LaRae above her shoulders and walked to the center of the ring. Belair then threw LaRae and we are now down to four Superstars left in the Battle Royal. Belair battled with Billie Kay near the ring apron as Peyton Royce was shouting ringside. Kay grabbed Belair’s hair to keep from being eliminated and then bounced Bianca’s head off the turnbuckle.

Bianca then hair-whipped Kay several times and then Martinez attacked Belair from behind. Nikki Cross leaped onto Billie Kay and the two Superstars tumbled out of the ring through the ropes. Belair tied her hair in a not and tried to eliminated Martinez. Mercedes broke free and connected with a couple of strikes.

Belair was then perched up on the top rope and Martinez hit a big boot that knocked Belair to the ring apron. Martinez went for a Spear but Beliar caught her and brought her over the top rope onto the ring apron. The two Superstars trades punches on the ring apron and Nikki Cross sprinted into the ring and knocked Martinez and Belair off the apron and they were both eliminated. Billie Kay tried to eliminate Cross from behind but she prevented it and then eliminated Kay. Nikki Cross now joins, Kairi Sane, Peyton Royce and Ember Moon at NXT TakeOver: Houston in the Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Women’s Championship.

After the match, Ember Moon came down to the ring and joined Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross who were arguing in the ring. Kairi Sane joined the party and made her way to the ring as NXT GM William Regal held the NXT Women’s Championship in the ring.

Winner: Nikki Cross

Drew McIntyre was interrupted by Zelina Vega while being interviewed. Vega asked why Almas hasn’t gotten his contract for an NXT Championship match. McIntyre told Vega the same thing he said last time, Almas needs to ask McIntyre for the match himself and he would gladly give it to him. Drew then walked away as Vega angrily looked on.

Aleister Black came down to the ring for a match but was attacked from behind by Velveteen Dream. Dream rose up from behind Black while he was making his entrance. Velveteen Dream brought Black to the ring and tied him up in the rings. Dream demanded that Black say his name and then slapped him in the face. Black didn’t say a word and Dream slapped him in the face again. Dream charged at Black and Aleister broke free and booted Dream in the face. Aleister went for the Black Mass but Dream avoided it and retreated up the entrance ramp.

Andrade “Cien” Almas vs Roderick Strong

Vega cut a promo before the match about still waiting for a contract for an NXT Women’s Championship match. Zelina said that Drew McIntyre is ducking Almas because he knows that he is not man enough to breath the rarified air of a champion.

Almas and Strong traded shots to start off the match. Almas applied a side Headlock but Strong broke free. Almas leveled Strong with a shoulder tackle but Strong bounced right back up and drove Almas to the corner. Strong then planted Almas with a Backbreaker for a one count.

Almas got back to his feet and Roderick greeted him with a chop across the chest. Andrade and Roderick battled on the ring apron. Almas connected with an elbow and then slammed him to the ring apron. NXT went to a commercial break with Almas raining down punches to Strong’s face while he was on the mat.

When NXT returned, Almas was still in control and connected with a chop to Strong in the corner that was so hard that it knocked Strong to the canvas. Almas applied a Triangle Arm Bar while Strong was caught up in the rope and then broke the hold before the referee counted to five.

Strong hit a Dropkick and then followed it up with an Enziguri but Almas didn’t fall down. Strong then connected with a leaping Clothesline that knocked Andrade to the mat. Roderick hit a pop-up Gutbuster but didn’t capitalize and Almas booted him in the face. Almas and Strong once again battled on the ring apron. Strong connected with an Enziguri and then slammed Almas back-first on the ring apron. Strong brought Almas back into the ring and went for the cover but Andrade kicked out at two.

Roderick perched Almas up on the turnbuckle and delivered a chop. Almas leaped off the turnbuckle and connected with a Tornado DDT for a two count. Almas followed it up with a spinning elbow and then Double Knees for a two count. Vega shouted “finish him” from ringside as Almas got back to his feet. Andrade went for the Hammerlock DDT but Strong escaped.

Almas then hit another big time spinning elbow that knocked Strong to the canvas. Almas went for the Double Knees but Strong powered out of the corner and kneed Almas in the face. Strong then hit an Olympic Slam, Clotheslined Almas out of the ring and hit a Dropkick through the ropes. Vega then leaped off the apron and connected with a Hurricanrana on Strong that launched him into the steel steps. Almas capitalized on Vega’s interference and planted Strong with the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas

After the match, Vega went to the announce table and called out Drew McIntyre. Vega stated that Almas will meet Drew face to face next week. Almas grabbed the microphone and said that Drew is scared of him. Vega and Almas celebrated on the entrance ramp and then exited backstage.

Roderick Strong was then shown in the ring recovering from the match and yet another loss. The Undisputed Era (Cole, Fish and O’Reilly) then came down to the ring. Adam Cole approached Strong and said that Roderick was not a loser. Cole said that Strong needs to join them because he is a winner. The crowd chanted “yes!” as Cole took off an Undisputed Era armband and presented Strong with it. Strong took it and Cole told Strong to think about it. NXT went off the air as Strong watched Cole, Fish and O’Reilly exit the ring.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (10/18)

NXT Women’s Championship Qualifying Match: Sonya Deville vs Ember Moon vs Ruby Riot

All three Superstars locked up to start off the match. Moon tried to rolled up Deville but Sonya kicked out. Deville then knocked Ember out of the ring and leveled Ruby Riot with a Clothesline for a two count. Riot connected with an Arm Drag and followed it up with a Dropkick for a two count.

Ember got back into the ring and knocked Deville off the ring apron. Moon hit a springboard Crossbody for a two count and Deville got back into the ring. Deville connected with a series of kicks that knocked Ember to the canvas as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Deville was still in control of the match. Deville planted Moon with a Gutwrench Suplex and then hurled Ruby Riot across the ring. Riot booted Deville in the face but Moon tossed Ruby out of the ring. Ember went for a quick cover on Deville but Sonya kicked out at two.

Moon springboarded off the second rope and jumped into a massive Spear from Deville for a two count. Riot got back into the ring and was greeted by a flurry of punches from Deville. Sonya went for a knee but Riot got out of the way and Deville tumbled out of the ring. Riot went for a Suicide Dive onto Deville outside the ring but Sonya was ready and punched Ruby in the face as she reached the ropes.

Deville leaped off the ring apron towards Ember Moon but Ember leaped as well and booted Sonya in the face. Riot hit a Crossbody onto both Moon and Deville outside the ring. Ruby landed hard on her ankle on the entrance ramp. Back in the ring, Sonya Deville locked in an Ankle Lock and Ruby Riot. Ember Moon leaped off the top rope and hit the Eclipse on Deville and then pinned Ruby Riot for the victory.

Winner: Ember Moon

NXT GM William Regal announced that there will be a Battle Royal next week to determine the final Superstar in the Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Houston.

Aleister Black vs Raul Mendoza

Velveteen Dream came down to the ring just before the match and grabbed Black’s vest and put it on. Mendoza capitilized on the distraction and knocked Black to the canvas for a two count. Black quickly took control of the match and connected with a series of kicks. Aleister then connected with the Black Mass for the quick victory. After the match, Velveteen Dream stared at Black from the entrance ramp. Velveteen Dream walked backstage and Black finally looked towards him as he was walking away.

Winner: Aleister Black 

Christy St. Cloud interviewed NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. Drew discussed things not working out when he originally signed with WWE. McIntyre stated that he was released four days after getting his apartment with his wife. Zelina Vega interrupted and asked Christy to leave.

Zelina stated that McIntyre has a target on his back now and there is no threat bigger than Andrade “Cien” Almas. Vega accused McIntyre of avoiding Almas. McIntyre told Vega that Almas should tell him he wants the match face-to-face instead of sending his business partner to ask for it. Vega then walked away.

Cezar Bononi vs Kassius Ohno

Bononi connected with a couple of shots to start off the match. Ohno responded with a few chops to the chest but Bononi shrugged them off and hit a Dropkick for a two count. Kassius battled back and connected with a Senton. Ohno charged at Bononi in the corner but Cezar was ready and booted Kassius in the face.

Ohno connected with a big boot that knocked Bononi out of the ring. Kassius then hit a Wrecking Ball Dropkick through the ropes and then brought Bononi back into the ring. Ohno then hit a sloppy looking rolling elbow to the back of Bononi’s head for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kassius Ohno

SAnitY vs Undisputed Era

Bobby Fish and Alexander Wolfe started off the match and locked up. Wolfe shoved Fish into the corner and went for a punch but Fish avoided it and connected with a kick. Fish went for another kick but Wolfe caught him and headbutted him in the face. O’Reilly was tagged in and Wolfe greeted him with a giant Body Slam.

Eric Young was tagged in and hit an Elbow Drop onto O’Reilly. Killian Dain was tagged in and he continued the beatdown on O’Reilly. Young got back into the match and O’Reilly finally escaped and tagged in Bobby Fish. Bobby booted Young into the corner and then connected with a roundhouse kick that knocked Eric Young out of the ring as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Adam Cole was in the ring and had Eric Young in a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. Young battled to his feet as the crowd cheered him on. Cole launched Young into the turnbuckle and then tagged in O’Reilly. Kyle continued to attack Young and then tagged in Bobby Fish.

Bobby Fish went for a cover but Young powered out at two. Fish then brought Young back to the corner and tagged in Adam Cole. Cole booted Young in the chest and Eric fell to the mat. Cole then hit a knee and then sent Young back into the corner. O’Reilly and Fish then connected with a double Suplex and O’Reilly went for the cover but Young kicked out at two.

O’Reilly slung Young into the turnbuckle and then booted Wolfe off the ring apron. O’Reilly then tried to leap on Young against the turnbuckle but Eric got out of the way and O’Reilly slammed into the ring post. Bobby Fish was tagged in and he leaped across the ring and prevented Young from tagging in Dain. Young escaped Fish’s grasp and tagged in Dain who cleaned house.

Dain connected with a big Dropkick to O’Reilly that sent him flying into the turnbuckle. Dain lifted O’Reilly onto his shoulder and Fish went for a Crossbody but Dain caught him as well. Dain then hit a Samoan Drop and a slam to Fish and O’Reilly at the same time. Dain then hit a Vader Bomb onto Bobby Fish.

Wolfe and Young hit a jumping Neckbreaker onto O’Reilly. Wolfe, Young and Dain surrounded Adam Cole and Dain threw him back into the ring. They were about to slam Cole the canvas but the Authors of Pain’s music hit. Rezar and Akam came down to the ring and beatdown SAnitY as Undisputed Era retreated up the entrance ramp. AOP hit the Super Collider onto Wolfe and Eric Young and then celebrated with the NXT Tag Team Championships in the ring.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (10/4)

Billie Kay & Peyton Royce vs Ruby Riot & Nikki Cross

Billie Kay started off the match with Ruby Riot. The NXT crowd chanted “let’s go Ruby” as the two locked up. Billie wrestled Ruby to the mat and locked in an Arm Bar. Ruby battled to her feet and connected with a Dropkick. Peyton Royce was then tagged in and Ruby went for a roll-up for a two count. Riot Body Slammed Royce to the mat and then shoved Billie off the ring apron.

Billie Kay was then tagged in and went for a Clothesline but Riot reversed it into a roll-up for a two count. Kay planted Ruby with a Side Slam and then beat her down in the corner. Royce got back into the match and continued to beatdown Ruby. Royce mocked Ruby for not having a tag partner and then slung her into the turnbuckle.

Billie was tagged in and slammed Ruby to the mat for a two count. Nikki Cross emerged from the crowd and showed up next to the ring with a grin on her face. Back in the ring, Royce was back in the match and had Ruby in a Chin Lock. Nikki hopped up on the ring apron as Ruby Riot broke out of the Chin Lock.

Ruby Riot slowly crawled to the corner and Nikki reached out her hand. Nikki was tagged in and she leveled Billie Kay with a forearm. Nikki then attacked Royce on the ring apron and hit a Crossbody onto Billie. Nikki hit a Scorpion Death Drop onto Kay but Peyton broke up the pinfall. Billie and Peyton teamed up and hit Nikki with a Bulldog and a knee to the face  for a two count.

Ruby Riot dragged Royce out of the ring and then tagged herself in. Back in the ring, Ruby hit a double Dropkick onto both Billie and Peyton. Ruby then connected with a Pele Kick for the pinfall victory.

Winners: Ruby Riot & Nikki Cross

Lars Sullivan was interviewed earlier in the day at WWE’s Performance Center. Sullivan said that he is always in control and gave some advice to Danny Burch in regards to their match next week. Sullivan said that Burch needs to be in control of his fear.

Zelina Vega was interviewed about Gargano’s rematch against Andrade “Cien” Almas. Vega said that Gargano was is still haunted by Ciampa betraying him. Vega stated that she is a puppet master and knows how to play on Gargano’s heart strings. Vega added that she didn’t touch Gargano during his match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Zelina claimed that Almas won the match fair and square. Vega stated that every time Almas defeats Gargano, that will get him closer to an NXT Championship opportunity and then walked away.

Lio Rush vs Aleister Black

Velveteen Dream attacked Lio Rush before the match started. Velveteen climbed to the top rope and connected with the Purple Rainmaker Elbow Drop. Black made his way to the ring as Velveteen Dream slid around on his knees in the ring. Black hopped in the ring and Velveteen Dream rolled out of the ring. Dream then said “hey Aleister, what is my name?” Dream then shouted “acknowledge me!” on the entrance ramp and vowed to make Black say his name. Velveteen Dream then retreated backstage.

Kairi Sane vs Aliyah

Sane got a great reaction from the crowd as she made her way to the ring. Sane was introduced as the winner of the Mae Young Classic. Sane dominated early but Aliyah connected with a Backbreaker to slow down her momentum. Sane battled back and connected with a Spear for a two count. Sane hit a flurry of kicks and chops to Aliyah. Sane continued to dominate and threw Aliyah into the corner and followed it up with a Splash. Sane ended the match by connecting with the Insane Elbow for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kairi Sane

NXT Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs Roderick Strong

The two locked up to start off the match and Drew drove Strong to the corner. McIntyre casually launched Strong into the corner and stood tall in the middle of the ring. Strong applied a Chin Lock and tried to bring McIntyre to the mat but Drew blocked it. McIntyre then leveled Roderick with a shoulder tackle as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, McIntyre was still in control and connected with a Dropkick for a one count. McIntyre sent Strong into the corner and connected with a Belly to Belly Throw that sent Strong rolling out of the ring. McIntyre followed Strong out of the ring and connected with a chop that echoed throughout the arena. McIntyre lifted Strong above his head and dropped him onto the barricade.

Strong connected with a kick and then hopped up onto the ring apron. Strong connected with a knee to the face off the ring apron. McIntyre shoved Strong into the ring apron and then dragged him up the steel steps to the ring apron. Strong lifted McIntyre up and dropped him back-first onto the steel steps.

The action returned to the ring and Strong connected with a Backbreaker and a Basement Dropkick for a two count. Roderick hit another Backbreaker for a two count. Strong stomped on McIntyre several times in the corner. Strong kneed McIntyre in the back and then applied the Abdominal Stretch.

Drew battled back to his feet but Strong remained in control for a moment. McIntyre stopped Strong’s momentum by hurling him into the turnbuckle. McIntyre climbed to the top rope and tried to leap onto Strong but Roderick connected with a Dropkick while McIntyre was in midair for a two count.

Strong connected with another Dropkick and went for the cover but McIntyre kicked out at two. Strong hit Drew with a knee and then tried to lift him onto his shoulders but McIntyre escaped. Strong hit an elbow but McIntyre responded by connecting with a Suplex as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, McIntyre connected with a Clothesline and went for another one but Strong escaped. McIntyre connected with a big boot and then hit another kick to Strong in the corner. McIntyre then slammed strong to the canvas face-first for a two count. Strong blocked the Future Shock DDT and planted McIntyre with a Fireman’s Carry Slam for a two count.

McIntyre connected with a Pop-Up Spinebuster for a two count. McIntyre perched Strong up on the top rope and delivered a chop to his chest. Strong escaped and connected with an Enziguri. Strong climbed up to the top rope and hit a Superplex on McIntyre for a two count.

Both Superstars got back to their feet and traded chops. The chops turned into punches and Strong got the upper-hand. Strong planted McIntyre with a Tiger Bomb for a two count. Strong pulled McIntyre to his feet by his hair and Drew exploded with a headbutt that knocked Strong to the canvas.

McIntyre crawled to Strong and then lifted him in a Fireman’s Carry and started climbing up the turnbuckle with Strong on his shoulders. McIntyre planted Strong with an Avalanche Celtic Cross off the second rope and went for the cover but Strong got his foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall.

McIntyre stomped on the mat and geared up in the corner. McIntyre went for the Claymore but Strong connected with three high-knees in a row. Strong slammed McIntyre to the mat and followed it up with the Sick Kick for a two count.

McIntyre and Strong traded shots on the ring apron. Strong knocked McIntyre off the apron and tried to jump onto him but Drew caught him and Powerbombed him into the ring post. McIntyre brought Strong into the ring and connected with the Future Shock DDT. McIntyre then hit the Claymore for the pinfall victory in an excellent match.

After the match, McIntyre and Strong shook hands in the middle of the ring. Strong said that this isn’t over and McIntyre nodded his head. Cole, O’Reilly and Fish approached Strong on top of the entrance ramp. Cole said something to Strong and Roderick nodded his head. They then walked away and Strong left a moment later as McIntyre shouted “you are better than that!” from the turnbuckle. NXT then went off the air with McIntyre posing with the NXT Championship.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (9/27)

NXT GM William Regal started off the show and announced a Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Houston. Kairi Sane is already in the match due to winning the Mae Young Classic. The final three Superstars will be determined in a series of matches starting in two weeks.

SAnitY came down to the ring through the crowd. Eric Young said that he was going to take Adam Cole to the edge of sanity tonight in their match.

Lars Sullivan vs Oney Lorcan

Sullivan leveled Lorcan with a shoulder tackle to start off the match. Oney connected with a Dropkick but Lars was unfazed and threw Lorcan out of the ring. Lorcan rolled back into the ring and knocked Sullivan off the ring apron with a couple of uppercuts. Lorcan then went for a Suicide Dive but Sullivan caught him and dropped him face-first onto the ring apron.

Back in the ring, Lorcan connected with a couple of chops across Sullivan’s chest. Lorcan slapped Sullivan in the face several times and then went for an uppercut but Sullivan leveled him with a Clothesline. Lars finished it off with a Side Spinebuster for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Lars Sullivan went to attack Lorcan again but Danny Burch ran down to the ring and made the save.

Ruby Riot was interviewed backstage about Nikki Cross teaming up with her in a match against Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Ruby Riot added that if Billie and Peyton want a fight, she is happy to give it to them. Riot stated that if Nikki Cross shows up again, she had nothing to do with it.

Heavy Machinery vs Dimitrius Bronson & Patrick Scott

Tucker Knight and Patrick Scott started off the match. Knight dominated and Dimitrius Bronson was tagged in. Otis Dozovic was then tagged in and he leveled Bronson with a shoulder tackle. Bronson locked in the Sleeper Hold but Otis slammed him into the turnbuckle to break the hold. Bronson hit two Dropkicks and then went for a Crossbody but Dozovic caught him and threw him across the ring.

Scott was tagged in and he was immediately knocked to the canvas. Otis hit an Elbow Drop and then a Splash to Scott in the corner. Tucker Knight was then tagged in and he leaped on top of everyone as Otis slammed Scott on top of Bronson. Knight then pinned Scott as he laid on top of Bronson.

Winners: Heavy Machinery

William Regal informed Johnny Gargano that he will have a rematch against Andrade “Cien” Almas in two weeks.

Roderick Strong was interviewed at the WWE Performance Center about his match next week against Drew McIntyre. Strong claimed that McIntyre was rattled and that McIntyre lacked the tenacity to beat him.

Liv Morgan vs Vanessa Borne

Borne avoided a Suplex from Liv Morgan to start off the match. Borne went for a Clothesline but Morgan avoided it as well. Borne hit a Suplex and then slammed Morgan’s face off the canvas several times. Morgan went for a roll-up but Borne kicked out at two and knocked Morgan to the mat with a Clothesline. Morgan connected with a Facebuster and followed it up win an Enziguri. Liv then hit a running Bulldog and followed it up with Double Knees to Borne’s face for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Liv Morgan

Aleister Black was shown training in a ring at the Performance Center earlier today. Black was asked about Velveteen Dream and Black stated “in this age of individuality, there is always one of that thinks he or she is more unique. There is always one that thinks that they are special. I refuse to acknowledge a child that throws a tantrum. If Patrick thinks he can get my attention by being bizarre, he is mistaken”.

Fabian Aichner vs Kassius Ohno

Ohno locked in the Cravate to started off the match but Aichner broke it up and connected with an uppercut. Ohno hit a big boot than knocked Aichner out of the ring. Ohno went to flip onto Aichner outside the ring but Fabian got back into the ring and Ohno caught himself on the ropes. Aichner hit a Backbreaker and Ohno fell to the floor outside the ring. Aichner then hit a springboard Crossbody off the top rope onto Ohno outside the ring.

Back in the ring, Aichner connected with a Suplex and a series of forearms to Kassius’ back. Aichner went for a Powerbomb but Ohno countered it into a roll-up for a two count. Aichner hit another uppercut and then planted Ohno with a Powerslam. Aichner went for a springboard Moonsault but Ohno rolled out of the way and Fabian crashed to the canvas. Ohno hit an elbow and then a kick to Aichner’s face. Kassius planted Aichner with a Cravate Suplex and followed it up with the Cyclone Kill (spinning big boot) for the pinfall victory.

Drew McIntyre was interviewed backstage about defending his NXT Championship next week against Roderick Strong. McIntyre said that Strong is very good and would be NXT Champion is McIntyre wasn’t in his way. Drew added that next week might be his first NXT Championship defense, but it certainly won’t be his last.

Adam Cole vs Eric Young

Fish and O’Reilly accompanied Cole down to the ring. Cole grabbed a microphone before the match and asked how NXT survived without the Undisputed Era. Cole told the crowd to close their eyes and take this moment in and feel it. Cole stated that what you feel is change, a shock to the system. Cole added that they are Undisputed and that this is our era.

Eric Young came down to the ring with the rest of the members of SAnitY. Cole shouted “fight me” at Young as the bell rung. Young shoved Cole to the corner and the referee broke it up. Cole punched Young in the face and shouted ” Adam Cole bay-” but was interrupted by a right hand from Eric Young.

SAnitY and the Undisputed Era started arguing outside the ring. Young was distracted by the argument and Cole took advantage and bounced Eric’s face off the top rope. Cole launched Young into the turnbuckle across the ring and then applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring.

Young battled to his feet to break the hold but Cole kneed him in the chest and threw him to the ring apron. Cole hit a roundhouse kick that knocked Young to the floor outside the ring. Cole brought Young back into the ring and went for a cover but Young kicked out at two. Cole kneed Young in the spine and then applied a Chin Lock once again.

Young once again fought to his feet but Cole locked in a Sleeper Hold. Young connected with a Belly to Back Suplex to break the hold. Young connected with a Clothesline and followed it up with a Neckbreaker to Cole. Young climbed to the top rope but Fish and O’Reilly hopped up on the ring apron. SAnitY attacked Fish and O’Reilly.

Young then leaped off the top rope onto Fish and O’Reilly outside the ring while Cole was on the canvas in the ring. Young got back into the ring and Cole hit a Shining Wizard for the victory.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (9/20)

Johnny Gargano vs Tino Sabbatelli 

Riddick Moss accompanied Sabbatelli to the match. Gargano defeated Moss last week, despite being dominated for most of the match. Sabbatelli taunted Gargano to start off the match and pushed him around the ring. Sabbatelli said that Gargano isn’t on his level and then planted him with a Dropkick. Tino remained on the attack and beatdown Gargano in the corner.

Sabbatelli applied a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring and continued to taunt Gargano by saying that he wasn’t on his level. Gargano battled to his feet and broke the hold with an Arm Drag. Gargano connected with a couple of left hands and connected with a kick to Sabbatelli’s head. Gargano tried to leap on Tino from the ring apron but Sabatelli caught him and connected with a Powerslam. Tino continued to taunt Johnny but it backfired as he got locked in the Gargano Escape. Sabbatelli quickly tapped out in the middle of the ring as Riddick Moss shook his head in disbelief ringside.

Roderick Strong approached NXT GM William Regal backstage. Strong asked for a shot at Drew McIntyre and Regal gave it to him. In two weeks, Roderick Strong will face Drew McIntyre for the NXT Championship.

Sonya Deville cut a promo backstage and said that Asuka left NXT because she knew that she couldn’t defeat her. Deville claimed that she will become the NXT Women’s Champion soon.

Lacey Evans vs Bianca Belair

Belair controlled the match early and knocked Evans to the mat with a shoulder tackle. Belair grabbed Evans by the hair and sent her back to the canvas. Belair then lifted Evans and slammed her face-first into the mat for a two count.

Evans tripped up Belair and connected with a slingshot Elbow Drop for a two count. Bianca battled back and hit a Suplex for a two count. Belair stomped on Evans in the corner but Evans responded with a massive Clothesline that knocked Belair to the corner. Evans hit a Bronco Buster and followed it up with a swinging Neckbreaker for a two count. Belair whipped Evans with her hair and then connected with a reverse Powerbomb for the victory.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Aleister Black came down to the ring as the crowd at Full Sail sang along to his theme song.

Black said “Fifteen years ago, I started a journey. Fifteen years ago, I started a journey that led me here to NXT. In those fifteen years I traveled the world and experienced a lot of things. I put all of those experiences on my skin in the form of these scars, simply because I wanted to remember from the heart on my throat to the devil on my back. My journey in NXT is far from done and I know now what I need to do because the next step…”

Black was then interrupted by the Velveteen Dream. Dream said that “Everything that fades to black must come into the light. NXT Universe, here we have Aleister Black. The man who for fifteen years walked through darkness, only to be blinded by the light that is your Velveteen Dream. With all this blinding light surrounding the Dream, I still don’t see it. I don’t see any of it. I mean, Aleister, where are your scars? Aleister, the Dream doesn’t see scars, what I see is a man who is hurt. I see a man who is in pain and if I couldn’t tell by looking you in your eyes, I can definitely tell because it is scribbled on your skin like lies. That is not your biggest problem though, your biggest problem is fear. You look afraid to me. You seem afraid to show emotion, but most importantly, you are afraid of the light. No matter what you try to tell anyone Aleister, I know that you have a heard. It is just in the wrong place.”

Black then hit the Black Mass and kicked the microphone out of  Velveteen Dream’s hand and sat on the canvas. Velveteen Dream then dropped to his knees and looked right at Black, only to slowly slither oout of the ring. Velveteen Dream then crouched on the entrance ramp and stared at Black before exiting the ring.

Dakota Kai cut a promo backstage. She said that she knows how to handle herself in the ring and stated that she is not afraid to kick heads in to capture the NXT Women’s Championship.

No Way Jose vs Lars Sullivan

Jose charged at Sullivan right when the match started and connected with a flurry of elbows. Jose continued the attack and connected with a Crossbody but Sullivan remained on his feet. Sullivan knocked Jose to the mat and kneed him the ribs several times. Sullivan casually threw Jose out of the ring and then ran him into the ring apron. Sullivan lifted Jose up over his shoulders with ease and then dropped him face-first on the ring apron.

Back in the ring, Sullivan leaped onto Jose against the turnbuckle. Jose leaped onto Sullivan’s back and applied a Chin Lock. Sullivan broke free by slamming Jose into the turnbuckle. Jose hit a Clothesline but Sullivan didn’t go down. Sullivan leveled Jose with a shoulder tackle and then climbed to the top rope. Sullivan hit a diving Headbutt off the top rope and then slammed Jose to the canvas for the pinfall victory.

Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish

Adam Cole accompanied Fish and O’Reilly to the ring for the match. O’Reilly and Bate started off the match and locked up in the middle of the ring as the crowd chanted “Mustache Mountain!”. Bate connected with a Dropkick and then sprung back to his feet and tagged in Trent Seven.

Seven slammed O’Reilly to the mat and Bate leaped onto O’Reilly off of Seven’s shoulders for a one count. Fish was tagged in and Seven knocked him out of the ring. Seven was going for a Suicide Dive but O’Reilly got in the way on the ring apron. Fish used the distraction to his advantage and got back into the ring and leveled Seven to the canvas.

Fish hit a rolling Senton on Seven and then tagged in O’Reilly. Fish and O’Reilly hit a double Suplex and then Fish was tagged back in. Seven connected with a chop to Fish’s chest and tried to tag in Bate but Fish blocked him. O’Reilly was then tagged in and sprinted across the ring and booted Bate off the ring apron. O’Reilly wrestled Seven to the mat and locked in an Arm Bar.

Seven quickly got his foot on the bottom rope to break the hold and Adam Cole hopped up on the ring apron. Bobby Fish then Speared Trent Seven into the barricade surrounding the ring as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Bobby Fish connected with a Side Slam onto Seven for a two count.

Fish beatdown Seven in the corner as Adam Cole shouted “more!” ringside. Seven connected with a lariat and both Superstars fell to the canvas. Cole shouted at Fish to get up and he obliged and tagged in O’Reilly. Seven finally tagged in Bate and Tyler connected with a European Uppercut off the second rope onto O’Reilly.

Bate caught O’Reilly when he tried to leap onto him in the corner and planted him with an Exploder Suplex. Bate then hit a Shooting Star Press but Fish broke up the cover. Back in the ring, Bate and Seven teamed up for a Powerbomb onto O’Reilly for a one count. Seven hit a Suicide Dive onto Bobby Fish outside the ring. Bate went for the Tyler Bomb but O’Reilly countered it into a Guillotine choke. Fish took out Seven outside the ring and then got back into the ring as O’Reilly was holding Bate in the air. Fish booted Bate in the back of the head as O’Reilly connected with a vertical Suplex. Bate got his foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall.

Seven was tagged back in and he slapped O’Reilly in the face. O’Reilly applied an Arm Bar in the middle of the ring. Adam Cole took out Tyler Bate ringside. Bobby Fish was then tagged in as O’Reilly had Seven in a Sleeper Hold. O’Reilly let go and they both connected with roundhouse kicks to Seven at the same time for the victory.

After the match, Drew McIntyre came down to the ring and Cole, O’Reilly and Fish retreated through the crowd. Cole, O’Reilly and Fish taunted McIntyre and SAnitY showed up behind them. SAnitY attacked them and beat them down. McIntyre then posed in the ring as SAnitY taunted Cole, O’Reilly and Fish as they retreated backstage.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (9/13)

Billie Kay & Peyton Royce vs Ruby Riot & Nikki Cross

Ruby Riot asked NXT GM William Regal for a Handicap match against Billie and Peyton last week. Regal asked Riot to find a tag partner for the match and he will make it official.

Ruby Riot came down to the ring and didn’t have a tag partner. Kay and Royce took turns beating her down to start off the match. Nikki Cross was then shown making her way to the ring through the crowd as Billie Kay stomped on Ruby in the corner. Peyton Royce was then tagged in as Cross was leaning up against the barricade outside the ring.

Royce beatdown Ruby some more and tagged in Billie Kay. Peyton and Billie slammed Ruby face-first to the mat for a two count. Peyton accidentally punched Billie Kay in the face and Ruby Riot escaped to the corner. Nikki Cross then leaped up on the ring apron and tagged herself in.

Nikki Cross attacked both Peyton and Billie and then planted Kay with a Neckbreaker. Nikki then tagged in Ruby Riot and walked away through the crowd. Ruby Riot climbed to the top rope and hit a Senton onto Billie Kay for the pinfall victory.

No Way Jose was interviewed backstage about the issues he has been having with Lars Sullivan recently. Jose said that Sullivan was crazy and that somebody has to teach him a lesson. No Way Jose then challenged Lars Sullivan to a match next week.

Last week on NXT, Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli interrupted an interview with Johnny Gargano and started poking fun at him for his loss at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. They said that Gargano will not be able to cut it on his own and needs to find another partner. Gargano said that he wanted to face either of them in a match next week. It was announced tonight that Gargano will face Riddick Moss.

Johnny Gargano vs Riddick Moss

Tino Sabbatelli accompanied Moss to the ring for the match. The NXT crowd broke out in a “Johnny Wrestling” chant as the bell rang. Moss wrestled Gargano to the mat to start off the match and focused his attack on Gargano’s arm. Johnny battled to his feet and locked in a Headlock. Moss broke free and leveled Gargano with a shoulder tackle.

Moss casually lifted Gargano up on his shoulders and tossed him to the mat. Moss once again picked up Gargano and threw him across the ring. Moss missed with a Clothesline but connected with a massive elbow to Gargano’s face. Moss punched Gargano in the chin and then launched him into the turnbuckle as NXT went to a commercial break.

When NXT returned, Moss was still in control and had Gargano locked in an Abdominal Stretch. Johnny broke free but once again got thrown into the turnbuckle. Riddick beat the hell out of the Gargano in the corner and took a break to taunt him. Sabbatelli cheered Moss on from ringside as Riddick stomped on Gargano’s chest in the corner. Riddick threw Gargano into the turnbuckle two more times and shouted that Gargano was “nothing without DIY”.

Gargano got pissed off and connected with a flurry of punches. Johnny connected with a kick and then Clotheslined Moss out of the ring. Gargano got fired up and connected with a Baseball Dropkick to Moss outside the ring. Johnny then flipped onto Moss outside the ring as the crowd cheered.

Sabbatelli grabbed Johnny’s leg as he tried to get back into the ring and Moss attacked him. Johnny quickly countered into the Gargano Escape submission hold but Moss was able to get to the bottom rope to break the hold. Gargano couldn’t believe that Moss didn’t submit and began to question himself. Moss capitalized and planted Gargano with a Fallaway Slam. Gargano regrouped and booted Sabbatelli in the face from the ring apron. Gargano then launched himself through the ropes and connected with a Spear to Riddick Moss for the pinfall victory.

Street Profits vs The Ealy Brothers

Dawkins and Ford danced their way to the ring as the crowd danced along with them. Gabriel and Uriel Ealy slowly made their way to the ring and flexed on the ring apron. Dawkins and Uriel Ealy started off the match. Uriel shoved Dawkins to the corner and taunted him. Angelo Dawkins shrugged it off and the two Superstars locked up. Uriel ripped off Dawkins headband and Angelo got pissed off and leveled Uriel.

Montez Ford was tagged in the Street Profits beatdown both Uriel and Gabriel Ealy. Gabriel leveled Ford with a Clothesline and then tagged in Uriel. Uriel threw Ford into the corner and went for a Splash but missed and crashed into the turnbuckle. Ford leaped across the ring and tagged in Dawkins as Gabriel was tagged back in. Dawkins hit a Splash onto Gabriel and then tagged in Ford. Montez hit a Splash off the top rope onto Gabriel Ealy for the pinfall victory.

A recap of Asuka’s final NXT appearance was shown with highlights of her brilliant NXT career. Ember Moon, Corey Graves, Bayley, Charlotte and Carmella were shown during the video giving props to Asuka. A vignette was shown on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW that revealed that Asuka was joining the RAW roster in the near future.

NXT GM William Regal was interviewed about the vacant NXT Women’s Championship. Regal said that he will reveal the plans for the title over the next few weeks. It was revealed after the conclusion of the Mae Young Classic last night that Kairi Sane has earned a shot at the vacant title at NXT TakeOver: Houston on November 18th.

It was announced that Aleister Black will speak next week on NXT. Wolfgang was interviewed backstage about his UK Championship match tonight againt Pete Dunne. Wolfgang vowed to leave tonight as the new UK Champion. Pete Dunne was then interviewed backstage about the match. Dunne didn’t say a word, instead he put the title in his mouth and made his way to the ring.

UK Championship: Pete Dunne (c) vs Wolfgang

Dunne came down to the ring as the crowd chanted “bruiserweight!”. Wolfgang stood confidently in the corner as UK Champion Pete Dunne posed in the ring. Dunne scowled at Wolfgang before the match started.

The bell rang and the two Superstars locked up in the middle of the ring. Dunne tried to target Wolfgang’s wrist but Wolfgang slammed him to the mat. Dunne persisted and applied an Arm Bar. Dunne raked his boot across Wolfgang’s face and then bent Wolfgang’s fingers back.

Wolfgang battled to his feet but Dunne remained focused on Wolfgang’s arm. Dunne then elbowed Wolfgang in the face and connected with a series of kicks. Wolfgang wrapped his arms around Dunne and connected with a Gutwrench Suplex. Wolfgang hit a Splash on Dunne in the corner and climbed to top rope. Dunne met him up there and once again bent Wolfgang’s fingers back. Dunne then hit a DDT to Wolfgang onto the ring apron as NXT went to a break.

When NXT returned, the action had returned to the ring and Dunne was in control with a Wrist Lock applied. Wolfgang powered out of the hold and planted Dunne with a Suplex. Dunne connected with a kick in the corner and went for another one but Wolfgang leveled him with a Spear.

Dunne rolled out of the ring and Wolfgang flipped onto him. Wolfgang brought Dunne back into the ring and hit a Moonsault off the second rope for a two count. Wolfgang went for a Suplex but Dunne countered it into a release Suplex of his own. Dunne climbed up to the top rope but Wolfgang met him up there with a right hand to the face. Wolfgang connected with a Superplex and both Superstars crashed to the canvas.

Wolfgang was the first Superstar to his feet and returned to the top rope. Wolfgang went for the Howling Senton Bomb but Dunne countered it into an Arm Bar.

Wolfgang broke free and connected with a pop-up Powerslam for a two count. Dunne connected with a German Suplex but Wolfgang bounced to his feet and leveled Dunne with a Clothesline. Dunne quickly got back to his feet and connected with the Bitter End for the pinfall victory.

Winner & Still UK Champion: Pete Dunne

After the match, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly sprinted to the ring and surrounded Pete Dunne. Pete faked like he was going to exit the ring but instead attacked them. O’Reilly, Cole and Fish started beating Dunne down. Wolfgang came to his rescue and Pete Dunne rolled out of the ring. Dunne then faked like he was going to get back into the ring and help Wolfgang, but instead he just ran to the ring and grabbed his UK Championship.

Adam Cole hit Wolfgang with a Shining Wizard as OReilly and Fish held him up. The trio then posed in the ring and then exited through the crowd. Trent Seven and Tyler Bate came down to the ring to check on Wolfgang and stared at Cole, O’Reilly and Fish in the crowd as NXT went off the air.

Bate and Seven then challenged O’Reilly and Fish to a match after the attack on Wolfgang and Pete Dunne.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (9/6): Asuka Says Goodbye

Andrade “Cien” Almas vs Cezar Bononi

Zelina Vega joined commentary for the match. Almas started out the match in control and chopped Bononi across the chest. Vega said that Almas’ recent success should be attributed to her. Bononi leveled Almas with a Clothesline and then delivered a chop of his own to Almas’ chest. Bononi hit a Dropkick and then posed for the crowd.

Almas connected with an elbow and that charged at Bononi in the corner. Almas then hung up Cezar between the ropes and planted him with a Backbreaker. Vega shouted for Almas to finish him and Almas hit the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Andrade “Cien” Almas

NXT General Manager William Regal was backstage and had a message for Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. Regal said that if Fish, O’Reilly and Cole want to be a part of NXT, they will have to compete in the ring. Regal stated that he will not tolerate any more attacks from the trio.

Christy St. Cloud was outside Asuka’s locker room but was quickly interrupted by Velveteen Dream. Dream said that he will speak when the ambience is right. Dream claimed that he will speak soon.

Lars Sullivan vs Three Jobbers

Lars demanded that all three competitors get in the ring at the same time. Sullivan casually threw the men across the ring. Sullivan then hit a Splash onto all three men in the corner. Lars slammed all three men to the mat one-by-one and covered one of them for the victory.

After the match, Lars continued to beatdown one of the met. No Way Jose came down the entrance ramp and said that Lars put a stop to the biggest conga line that Brooklyn has ever seen when he attacked him from behind. No Way Jose made his way to the ring as the crowd chanted for him. Jose wanted to see how tough Sullivan was when he was looking him in the eyes.

No Way Jose punched Sullivan in the face and then proceeded to get his ass kicked. Sullivan clubbed Jose across the chest and then lifted him up on his shoulders and slammed him to the canvas.

Winner: Lars Sullivan 

An interview with Johnny Gargano was shown from earlier in the week at the WWE PC. Gargano said that he lost focus in his match against Almas at NXT TakeOver: III. Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli interrupted and started poking fun at Gargano. They said that Gargano will not be able to cut it on his own and needs to find another partner. Gargano said that he wanted to face either of them in a match next week.

SAnitY addressed Fish, O’Reilly and Cole attacking them in a video promo. Eric Young said that they will get their revenge as Nikki Cross cackled in the background. Alexander Wolfe then got in front of the camera as Young said “the only thing we are interested in” and Wolfe shouted “chaos!”.

Zeda vs Sonya Deville

Deville wrestled Zeda to the mat to start off the match. Zeda escaped but Sonya Speared her to the canvas. Zeda rolled out of the ring but Deville followed her out there and threw her back in the ring. Deville connected with a kick to the face and then applied an Arm Bar for the submission victory.

Winner: Sonya Deville

Footage from the WWE Performance Center earlier today was shown. Ruby Riot approached William Regal and asked for a Handicap match against Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Regal said that he did not want to make that match instructed Ruby to find a tag partner for the match next week.

No DQ Match: Kassius Ohno vs Hideo Itami

Itami rolled out of the ring right when the bell rang. Ohno followed him out there and Itami quickly got back in the ring. Ohno slammed Itami to the mat and connected with a Leg Drop. Ohno chopped Itami across the chest and then planted him with a Suplex for a two count.

Ohno chopped Itami across the chest again but Itami battled back and knocked Ohno to the apron. Itami bounced Kassius’ head off the ring post and Ohno fell back-first onto the steel steps. Itami continued the attack and slammed Ohno’s face into the steps a few times. Hideo climbed up the steps and shoved his boot against the back of Kassius’ head while it was pressed up against the steps.

Back in the ring, Itami hit a flurry of kicks on Kassius in the corner of the ring. Itami then hit a Dropkick to Ohno in the corner and went for the cover but Ohno kicked out at two. Itami grabbed a steel chair from under the ring and brought it into the ring. Ohno and Itami fought over the chair for a moment before Ohno threw the chair in the air and Itami caught it. Ohno went for a spinning elbow but Itami held the chair up and Ohno elbowed the chair and fell to the mat as NXT went to a commercial break.

NXT returned and Itami was kicking Ohno in the face as he rested against the ropes. Ohno got back to his feet and booted Itami in the face. Kassius connected with a couple of Clotheslines and then hit a Shining Wizard. Itami lifted Ohno up for the GTS but Kassius blocked it and lifted Itami up onto his shoulders. Ohno then threw Itami across the ring and Hideo landed on his feet. Ohno leveled him with an elbow and Itami rolled out of the ring.

Ohno connected with another elbow to Hideo’s face on the entrance ramp. Kassius set up Itami for a Suplex but Itami blocked it and connected with a Suplex of his own that sent Ohno crashing onto the entrance ramp. Itami shouted at the crowd to show him respect as the action returned to the ring.

Itami stomped on Ohno in the corner and then set up a chair across his face while Ohno’s head was on the bottom turnbuckle. Itami connected with a Dropkick to the chair against Kassius’ head for a two count. Ohno went for an elbow but Itami poked Ohno in the eye. Itami went for the GTS but Ohno escaped. Kassius then delivered a low-blow to Itami and then leveled him with the Roaring Elbow for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Kassius Ohno

Asuka says goodbye

William Regal came down to the ring and introduced NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. Asuka came down to the ring with the title and grabbed a microphone. The crowd chanted “Asuka!” as she stood in the ring with Regal. Asuka said that she has been in NXT for almost two years and the crowd started to chant “thank you Asuka!”.

Asuka stated that she has fought so many great Superstars and that she loves NXT. Asuka said that she grew so much here and that she is grateful for NXT. Regal said that since Asuka has become NXT Women’s Champion, she has done nothing but defend that title with honor. Regal stated that Asuka is one of the greatest champions in WWE history.

Regal stated that he and Asuka have started negotiations with Daniel Bryan and Kurt Angle. Regal announced that Asuka will be stepping down NXT Women’s Champion. Regal said that this is a wonderful opportunity for Asuka. The NXT roster came down to the entrance ramp and clapped as the crowd chanted “thank you Asuka!”.

Asuka said that wherever she goes now, NXT will come with her. Asuka waved to the crowd as the roster and Regal clapped. Ember Moon then came down to the ring and extended her hand. Asuka went to shake it but Moon pulled her hand away and laughed. The two then hugged in the ring.

Triple H came down to the ring with flowers and gave Asuka a hug. Triple H gave Asuka the roses and took the NXT Women’s Championship off Asuka’s shoulder. Triple H introduced Asuka one final time in NXT and Asuka raised her hand as everyone cheered. NXT went off the air with the crowd chanting “thank you Asuka!”.

WWE NXT Recap & Results (8/30)

NXT opened up this week with SAnitY surrounded by security as Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly appeared to have attacked them outside. Percy Watson states on commentary that he believes Cole, Fish and O’Reilly were behind the attack. Nigel McGuinness then defended his fellow ROH veterans and stated that this is America and you are innocent until proven guilty.

NXT Champion Drew McIntyre comes down to the ring. McIntyre raised the title and said that this was the culmination of his career, but he is aware that he now has a target on him. McIntyre said that if Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly or anyone else in the NXT locker room want a shot at him, they should come down to the ring and face him like a man.

Roderick Stong then came out and said that he doesn’t care about McIntyre being attacked at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. All he cares about is himself, his family and the NXT Championship. Strong stated that when he is finished with Bobby Roode tonight, he is coming after that title. Drew McIntyre said that this is what he is talking about. Strong stepped up like a man and asked for a shot. McIntyre said that he hopes that Strong is ready to get knocked out like a man as well.

Peyton Royce vs Ruby Riot

Royce controlled the match early and connected with a knee to Riot’s face before throwing her outside the ring as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Royce was still in control and had Riot in a Chin Lock in the middle of the ring. Riot escaped and connected with a Dropkick. Riot then hit a Powerbomb for a two. Riot tried to pick up Royce but Peyton grabbed the ring apron. The referee then started shouting at Royce, which allowed Billie Kay to boot Riot in the face while the referee was distracted. Peyton Royce then hit the Fisherman’s Suplex for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Peyton Royce

NXT GM William Regal was interviewed in his office backstage. Regal discussed the attack on SAnitY that opened up the show but was quickly interrupted by Kassius Ohno. Kassius said that he wanted another shot at Itami and he wants it to be a NO DQ match. Regal made the match official for next week.

Heavy Machinery vs Camian Awield & Edwin Negran

This was a squash match. Heavy Machinery hit The Compactor quickly for the victory.

Winners: Heavy Machinery

Lars Sullivan was shown in William Regal’s office. Regal stated that Sullivan has attacked three men recently and that his actions have consequences. Regal announced a 3-on-1 Handicap match for next week. Sullivan smiled and walked away.

Roderick Strong vs Bobby Roode

The match opened up with the Full Sail crowd chanting “thank you Bobby” as Roode’s time in NXT is coming to an end. Roode shouted at Strong that he was a failure and that NXT will always be his. Roode went to pose in the ring but Strong shoved him down. Strong started out in control and connected with a series of chops. Strong then hit two Backbreakers in a row on Strong as the crowd started to boo Roderick.

Roode and Strong battled on the ring apron. Roode got the upper-hand and sent Strong flying back-first into the steel steps next to the ring. Roode then planted strong with a Spinebuster as NXT went to a commercial break. When NXT returned, Roode was back in control of the match. Roode took a break from beating down Strong to pose in the ring as the crowd cheered.

Strong battled back and leveled Roode with a Clothesline. Roode responded by knocking Strong out of the ring and then planting him with a Neckbreaker when he tried to get back into the ring. Roode went for the Glorious DDT but Strong escaped and connected with a running knee for a two count.

Roode and Strong battled on the top rope. Strong gets knocked down to the mat but quickly got back to his feet and connected with a kick to the side of Roode’s head. Strong then hit the Suplerplex but Roode was able to kick out at two.

Both Superstars made their way back to their feet as the crowd cheered. Roode and Strong then traded punches. Roode got the official in the way and then capitalized by hitting the Glorious DDT.

Roode went for the pinfall but Strong was able to get his foot on the bottom rope. Roode started insulting Strong which wound up costing him. Strong pumped himself up and connected with a flurry of knees to Roode. Strong then hit a Backbreaker, blew Roode a kiss and then planted him with another Backbreaker for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Roderick Strong

After the match, NXT Champion Drew McIntyre made his way to the ring. He pointed at Roderick Strong and then raised the title. As McIntyre was posing, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly attacked him from behind. They knock down a few security guards as well before NXT GM William Regal arrives on the scene. Cole, Fish and O’Reilly taunted Regal before exiting the arena.

NXT Highlights: Aleister Black vs. Kassius Ohno

NXT this week featured a main event clash between strikers Aleister Black and Kassius Ohno. The episode also featured the return of Ember Moon from a shoulder injury.

1. Peyton Royce vs. Ember Moon

  • This was Moon’s first match back from a shoulder injury that kept her for challenging for the title at Takeover.
  • She was on offence when Peyton changed the tide by ramming her shoulder into the post.
  • Moon battled back and took out Kay on the outside before beating Royce with the Eclipse.

Winner: Ember Moon

2. Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe (Sanity) vs. the Ealy Brothers

  • No highlights of this match were posted.
  • While the Ealy brothers would get in a fair amount of offence, this was mainly a showcase match for Sanity.
  • Perhaps Young and Wolfe will be forming a tag team for the foreseeable future.

Winners: Sanity

3. Sonya Deville vs. Rachel Evers

  • Deville wrestles a very MMA based style, and this was evident here.
  • All of her striking is MMA focussed, and she won with a wrist-lock type submission.
  • Deville looks to be in line for a push in the NXT women’s division.

Bobby Roode and Roderick Strong Backstage Incident

  • Roode was doing a photo shoot when he started taunting Strong and his family who were passing through the area, leading to a fight.

4. Aleister Black vs. Kassius Ohno

  • This was an excellent back-and-forth match between two guys looking to move closer to an NXT title shot.
  • Ohno had gained the advantage with a flipping face-first suplex, but as he charged forward to deliver the discus forearm, Black counted with the Fade to Black roundhouse kick, and pinned him.

Winner: Aleister Black
