On tonight’s edition of NXT on the WWE Network, William Regal was revealed to be the new NXT General Manager. As a result, Regal will be overseeing the upcoming NXT Takeover 2 live special on the WWE Network, which is scheduled for September 11th.

Additionally, new NXT GM Regal announced the main event for the Takeover 2 special, which will see Sami Zayn vs. Tyson Kidd vs. Tyler Breeze vs. Adrian Neville for the NXT World Heavyweight Championship.

– Both the NXT Takeover 2 live special and the NXT television tapings on September 11th and 12th, respectively, at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida are both sold out.

– Former WWE Superstar Yoshi Tatsu, who was released as part of the most recent massive talent cuts, is expected to head to New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) for a lengthy run this fall.

– El Torito was kept off of WWE’s recent Australian tour due to the many budget cutbacks the company has been making.

– Following the third NXT live special on the WWE Network, “NXT Takeover 2,” which takes place on September 11th, the next live NXT special isn’t expected until early January 2015 or later.

August 7th in Melbourne, Australia drew 12,000 fans
August 8th in Sydney, Australia drew 15,000 fans
August 9th in Perth, Western Australia drew 9,000 fans
August 9th in Abbotsford, British Columbia drew 4,000 fans
August 10th in Yakima, Washington drew 3,000 fans
August 11th in Portland, Oregon for RAW drew 9,500 fans

– Tickets for the NXT Takeover 2 live special on September 11th are apparently going pretty fast. All of the ringside tickets are said to be sold out, and as of late Thursday night, there were only a few hundred general admission seats available.

– On a related note, it has been confirmed that WWE will hold a set of NXT television tapings the night after the Takeover 2 live special.

– E! has released the first video trailer for season three of WWE Total Divas, which premieres on the cable network on Sunday, September 7th. You can check that out below.
