Court Bauer over at MLW Radio has provided an exclusive update on the incident involving Paige following Sunday’s Money in the Bank PPV in Las Vegas.

On episode 232 of MLW Radio (co-hosted by Mister Saint Laurent & Konnan), Bauer detailed what actually went down, as told to him by Alberto Del Rio. After Money in the Bank, Paige & Del Rio went out to a show. There was a drunk couple at the venue heckling them, which led ADR to called over security. The rowdy couple was ejected and they went on with their night. When the show let out, that same couple was waiting for them outside. An altercation occurred Paige was physically involved. As per multiple reports, Paige ran into the street.

Police were close by and quickly got the situation under control. Paige was handcuffed and taken for an evaluation. She was cleared and no arrest was made. The general feeling feeling from the ‘powers that be’ is that the incident was handled properly.  She wrestled against Charlotte the next night on RAW and was part of the Sasha Banks return angle, so it doesn’t seem like any disciplinary action will be taken.

  • Update On Paige’s Incident In Las Vegas After Money In The Bank

    pge

We’ve got new information regarding an incident involving Paige and Las Vegas police last night after WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view. After investigating the situation and receiving a tip from a reader close to the situation, here’s what we know:

This was not a segment for Total Divas and there was no camera crew present. Paige and Alberto Del Rio were arguing outside of Cesar’s Palace hotel & casino. Paige tried to run across the street on Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd. Police were present and Paige was handcuffed ‘for her own safety.’

She was then sent to a local medical facility (either UMC or Sunrise Hospital) for a mental evaluation (often referred to as “Legal 2000”), which allows authorities to detain someone who may be a danger to themselves or others.

No charges were filed against Paige. She is not currently in the hospital. WWE is still investigating the matter.

Thanks to Tony Rea for help with this story.

Paige’s Mother Denies That Paige Was Arrested Last Night (Photos)

On Monday afternoon a rumor began circulating that Paige was arrested last night after WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view after a dispute with Alberto Del Rio. Twitter user @Roman_Empire_76 posted these photos depicting Paige and Del Rio talking to a police officer. Paige appears to be handcuffed in two of the photos.

At this time, there is no reason to believe that Paige was actually arrested. If there was an arrest, a police report would have surfaced by now, TMZ would have been all over it and WWE would have likely issued a statement.

Some people speculating that it was a Total Divas storyline, who knows, but here are the photos that are going around:

    – While WWE announced Saturday that Adam Rose and Konnor have each been suspended 60 days effective immediately for a second violation of the company’s Talent Wellness Program, it was the first time WWE had announced a suspension for either wrestler.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Konnor’s first suspension was in 2006, a year before WWE announced that all violations of the Talent Wellness Program would be made public — he was working as a developmental wrestler at the time in Deep South Wrestling. Meltzer also says Rose was suspended in 2013. WWE, however, never made a public announcement about that suspension. Like Konnor, Rose was a developmental wrestler at the time of his first suspension.

    – Paige sounds off on a number of topics in Hot Topic’s “Hot Minute.” When asked about her most awkward fan interaction, she said a fan at WrestleMania Axxess wanted to shake the hand she (Paige) just wiped her nose with.

  • Paige: Has No Idea What WWE Is Doing With Her Character, Thinks Reigns Should Be Heel

Paige was at Wizard World Madison on Sunday and took part in a Q&A panel. Here are some highlights, courtesy of Reddit user @Lukeazade11134:

    – She has no idea what WWE is doing with her character. She doesn’t know if she’s a heel or a face and doesn’t know if she’ll be used at RAW tomorrow.

    – If she could wrestle an intergender match against any man on the WWE roster, it would be Seth Rollins. She also said she’d like to work with Dean Ambrose and the Wyatt Family.

    – She loves the new Women’s Championship belt.

    – If she could change anything about the Women’s Division, she said she’d have more storytelling behind the matches. She let fans know that this will be changing soon and “there are storylines coming that you guys will see.”

    – Her favorite women to work with are Sasha Banks, Nikki Bella, Emma and AJ Lee.

    – She thinks Roman Reigns would be better off as a heel champion:

  • WWE Increased Security For WrestleMania, But Paige’s Stalker Still Got In?

WWE issued the following statement this morning with regards to the issues getting fans into AT&T Stadium for WrestleMania yesterday:

To ensure the safety of WWE fans, increased security measures were put in place tonight. We apologize that it may have taken some fans longer than usual to get into AT&T Stadium.

Fans in line at the stadium were told that the delays were caused by issues with the stadium’s Wi-Fi bringing down their wireless ticket scanning system. Given the two conflicting stories, it came off as at least curious.  Then this exchange happened on Twitter this morning:

    https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/717013496865533954

That’s not a good look either way, but more so if they had increased security.

It’s not the first time WWE talent, female or otherwise, have had issues with stalkers. Most recently, as far as it going public, there was the man who was shot by police outside the WWE Performance Center. Previously, TMZ had reported on Maryse having her own problems with a stalker, and Tough Enough Season 3 contestant Lisa had infiltrated the backstage area repeatedly after being removed from the show when she had some kind of breakdown. Ric Flair also had numerous run-ins with a stalker over many years, as did Bret Hart, who wrote about the topic in his book.

  • Another Divas Match Taking Place At WrestleMania 32?, Dylan Miley Returns To The Ring (Photos)

    – At WrestleMania 32, Charlotte will defend the Divas Championship against Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat Match. This may not be the only Divas contest on the show as Julie Youngberg, a costume designer and seamstress for WWE, indicated on Twitter that Paige and Brie Bella will be competing at WrestleMania as well.

“Had a brainstorming session today @BellaTwins Brie, @RealPaigeWWE and @BeckyLynchWWE are gonna b having their own fight 4 the best dressed diva for mania,” she wrote Saturday. “So happy w what I’m doing :) thanks girls 4 making this fun for me I’m excited.”

Youngberg added, “No hints….Mania must b a surprise. But I’ll take plenty up close pics and after they walk down the ramp I can show them all the madness!”

    – Rarely seen NXT talent Dylan Miley faced Apollo Crews on Saturday at the WWE Experience event at the 2016 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio. • Paige Says The Divas Butterfly Belt Sucks, But The Term Diva Means A Lot To Her

Paige Says The Divas Butterfly Belt Sucks, But The Term Diva Means A Lot To Her

Paige appeared at the Portland Comic Con event this weekend and shared her thoughts about WWE’s Divas Championship belt. Many WWE and NXT women’s wrestlers have been very outspoken about the belt, expressing universal disdain for the “butterfly” championship belt. Some have also taken issue with the ‘Divas’ terminology itself, which has a negative connotation and doesn’t exactly represent the “championship wrestler” that WWE’s female competitors strive to be.

Paige thinks the current WWE Divas Championship belt “sucks” but takes pride in what it means to be a WWE Diva, something that is different than working for companies like TNA.

“As much as before I came here I was like ‘I wanna change that,’” She said, “When you think about a WWE Diva, you think of us girls in WWE, not like the girls that are in the indies, the girls in TNA or in other different companies. So yeah, the word Diva means a lot to me. Just redesign the Diva belt, because that butterfly sucks.”

Many have lobbied for WWE to retire the Divas Championship and resurrect the WWE Women’s Championship that WWE Hall of Famer Madusa dumped in the trash on WCW Nitro back in 1995.

  • WWE 2K16 Apparently Getting The Tokyo Dome In Next DLC Pack

WWE 2K16 Apparently Getting The Tokyo Dome In Next DLC Pack

At a couple different points tonight, the official WWE Games Twitter account tweeted these animated GIFs to hype Tuesday’s release of the Hall of Fame downloadable content pack for WWE 2K16, which is out this Tuesday:

It was already known that 1991 versions of Ric Flair and Tatsumi Fujinami plus a relevant match replay mode were in the Hall of Fame pack, but they had two matches that year. It seemed like it made more sense for 2K to base it off their match from Superbrawl in St. Petersburg, Florida, but from the above footage, it looks like they didn’t. Instead, 2K picked the OTHER Flair-Fujinami match, from the NJPW Tokyo Dome show that year, which is known as both WCW Japan Supershow and NJPW Starrcade ’91 In The Tokyo Dome. So that means that the arena that comes in the pack is an ersatz Tokyo Dome, faithfully recreated by 2K Sports. They can’t call it that (and I don’t believe WWE games ever name real venues), but 2K does a great job with the presentation of the arenas and this should be no exception.

Here’s the full lineup for the DLC pack, which, if this is any indication, should also include at least two more WCW arenas and some early ’90s WWF arenas along with period appropriate versions of the wrestlers:

    • “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Jake “The Snake” Roberts
    • Rikishi vs. The Rock
    • Alundra Blayze vs. Paige
    • Larry Zbyszko and Arn Anderson vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and Dustin Rhodes
    • Tatsumi Fujinami vs. Ric Flair
    • The Bushwhackers (Butch Miller and Luke Williams) vs. The Natural Disasters (Typhoon and Earthquake)
    • The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) vs. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray)

  • Paige Praises Nikki Bella, Heat With Total Divas Newcomer Mandy Rose & More

Paige recently spoke with TooFab.com to promote tonight’s Total Divas season 5 premiere on the E! Network. Here are some highlights of what he said about:

Her Fiancé Kevin Skaff & Being Petrified Of Marriage:

“We definitely have a conversation and then throughout the season we definitely have more conversations [laughs], all ups and downs. It gets juicy, but I definitely think you have to tune in … Marriage still petrifies me. It’s something that I don’t want to do for a long time [laughs]. I still feel exactly the same way. I don’t think that’s going to change for a long time.”

    Total Divas Newcomer Mandy Rose:

“There’s a new girl this season called Amanda, which we were on a show prior to this together called ‘Tough Enough’ and I was a judge and she was competing to be a WWE superstar/Diva. So we definitely butted heads on that show because I felt like she had a terrible attitude and when she was welcomed on this show it definitely shocked me. But, you know, I’ve gotten to know her and she is awesome but we do clash sometimes.”

    Praise For Nikki Bella:

“She just gets better and better every time she steps in the ring… She’s a deserving girl. I only have positive things to say about Nikki, so it’s hard to be mean about her.”

  • Paige Out Of Action Due To A Concussion

During a recent interview with Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine, Paige revealed that she has been out of action due to a recent concussion:

“WWE has been absolutely great with the wellness program and wanting to make sure I’m back on my feet and completely healthy before getting back in the ring again,” Paige said. “I’m losing my mind because I’m not at work right now, so it’s been a few straight weeks of not leaving the house. I do go to the PC and get back in the ring there and see the doctors to make sure I’m a good kid and taking as much ImPACT tests as I possibly can.

As for when she’ll be back in action, Paige downplayed the severity of the situation and said she hopes to be back soon.

“I hope to get back in the ring soon. It’s just a slight concussion. No big deal. Not a crazy one but WWE is obviously very protective of their talent. I’m like, ‘I’m fine. I promise.’ They’re like, ‘No, we have to make sure you are 100 percent.’ They are like parents.”

Paige’s most recent match was at a WWE live event on December 29th from Providence, Rhode Island. She took the pinfall in a triple threat match for the Divas championship featuring Charlotte and Becky Lynch.
