  • Sara Lee Talks Tough Enough, Possibly Feuding With Paige, Fan Voting & More

WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee recently spoke with M Live about her experience on the show. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On if she would have made it to the finals if not for the fan voting: “It’s hard to say because the show would have had a different format. At the end of the day, the WWE is about who people want to see in the ring and see who they connect with. The fans chose who they wanted.”

On if she wants to be a babyface or a heel: “I’m open to whatever, because things are constantly changing in WWE. I’d have to work on my heel character a little bit. With the right tools, I think I could put together a good heel character. Whatever is asked of me, whatever the demands are, I’m ready to try it.”

On if she sees a rivalry in her future with Paige: “I think the foundation is definitely there for a good match with her someday. Outside of the ring, Paige is really cool and everything she says to me, I don’t take it personally. She’s just trying to help me improve. I take her suggestions and criticisms and learn from them. She’s one of my favorite WWE Divas.”

  • Divas Lash Out Over RAW Crowd Reaction, How WWE Tried To Prevent It

As it turns out, WWE actually scrambled to try and prevent the crowd takeover that occurred during the Divas match at RAW on Monday night.

As reported earlier, Paige, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox took to social media after RAW to vent their frustrations about the negative crowd reactions during their six-Divas tag-team match.

Paige tweeted (and then quickly deleted), “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”

To counter the negative crowd reactions, WWE actually inserted an extra commercial break into the West Coast feed of RAW, as they actually suddenly cut to a commercial break right when Paige took Nikki into the corner of the ring and hit a shoulder block.

As a result, WWE effectively prevented most of the “boring” chants, “we are awesome” chants and the wave, from airing on the West Coast feed of the show.

It’s worth noting that unlike the aforementioned four Divas, Becky Lynch and Charlotte did not complain on social media. You can check out their reactions below.

Paige tweeted the following comment, but quickly deleted it: “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”

Below are some posts from other WWE Divas involved in the match/segment, all of which spoke about the negative fan reaction as well.

  • GiGi Says Paige Is Her Guardian Angel, Explains Why She Started Watching WWE Again

Giorgia “GiGi” Piscina, who was eliminated from Tough Enough on last week’s show, spoke to Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine. In the interview, she talks about how supportive Paige was of her.

“Early on in the competition she was giving me a little bit of heat, but I think she was just trying to see how I can do under pressure,” she said.

“Coming to the end of it, she has been my guardian angel. She saved me last week. You can see she was disappointed that I left the competition now. I know people have been sending messages and tweets where she commented on one of the videos online saying the only girl talent that was left was gone, and well done WWE Universe or something like that. She was definitely supporting GiGi, which was incredible. I look up to her for being so unique and staying true to herself. She doesn’t change for anybody, and I think that is what makes Paige so great.”

The 21-year-old also talked about watching WWE as a child, with Rey Mysterio being her favorite. She explains why she began watching the product again.

“I lost touch as I got older. Before the last year or so I’ve been watching Total Divas. I got addicted to that. It kind of brought me back to WWE because I saw their lives. So then I wanted to see them in the ring and wrestling. It kind of threw me back in. I’m glad that happened.”

Piscina also discussed her Tough Enough elimination, Lita, what’s next for her, and more. The interview is available here.

  • Paige Talks Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker, If John Cena Will Wrestle At SummerSlam, Stephen Amell

Speaking to Mike Jones of DC101, Paige discussed the Divas Elimination Match at SummerSlam, if John Cena would be ready to go at the event, Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker, confiscated food at the airport, why isn’t she the face of Doc Martens, and more. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

Helping the new NXT Divas – “I try and help them out as much as possible but luckily all the girls are great and will give them advice, give Sasha advice. They’re really lucky all the girls are super nice up here because back in the day that wouldn’t have happened.”

Stephen Amell at SummerSlam – “We were in Vancouver and Victoria this weekend and he came both days to train really hard. He’s a really awesome celebrity to have because he really wants to do it and he loves it and he’s actually really good. He’s actually one of the best celebrities we’ve had do something in ring.

“Usually our fans are not very welcoming to non-wrestling celebrities but the crowd loved him, everyone backstage loved him, he did a really good job and we’re proud of him.”

Will John Cena be ready to go with his broken nose – “Everyone thinks he’s like a superhero because he heals so quickly, quicker than anyone. I think he’s ready to go and strong enough to go so hopefully we’ll get to see the match.”

Watching Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker with the other WWE Superstars – “Some of us will sneak out in the arena because the atmosphere is so intense and awesome. I went out for the main event of WrestleMania and I’ll go out for this too!”

The audio interview is available here.

  • Paige Talks HHH’s Influence On Divas Revolution, Which Diva She Thinks Has The Most Potential

Speaking to Doug Mortman and Larry Dallas of Busted Open on the Sirius XM Radio Network, Paige discussed a number of topics including Triple H’s influence on the “Divas Revolution,” which Diva she feels has the most the potential, how the women of Tough Enough may fare in WWE, and more. Highlights from the interview are as follows.

Triple H’s influence on the Diva’s Revolution

“Just seeing him come in and completely take what was then called FCW like under his wing and make it into this huge brand to the point where it sold out in Brooklyn – 15,000 people are coming to watch NXT – that’s MIND BLOWING … and it’s all because of that guy. He really wanted to make it a success and he really did, especially with the Divas. He really did give the Divas a chance in NXT – like me and Emma, the first network show that we did – he really gave us a chance on there and it just progressed. He killed it. He knocked it out of the park with it. We’re all extremely thankful for the opportunity that he gave every single one of us.”

Which Diva Paige feels has the most promise

“Even though she’s on the opposing team, I would say Sasha Banks. I’m a huge fan of hers. And I’ve always said it. I’ve always said Sasha Banks. She’s just the full package to me. She can promo, she can wrestle, she looks good … she definitely shows the most, I think.”

On whether she sees either of the remaining two Divas on Tough Enough becoming a big name in NXT and eventually the main WWE roster

“As much as I like Sara Lee, and everyone thinks I pick on her, I would have to say Amanda – and it’s not being biased because you know how I’m like with both of them, I’m brutally honest with both of them. Amanda is kind of the full package too – she can talk, she’s really starting to get things in the ring, and she’s really embracing that heel role that she’s got going on. She really doesn’t care what people think of her and that’s cool to me, I like that, she doesn’t care about being liked or not. She’s not afraid of being different, she’s not afraid to be herself. She does great in the ring. She takes control as well, especially with her and Sara’s match she really took control of it. That’s cool. I like that about her.”

On the winners of Tough Enough and their eventual transition to the NXT roster

“It’s definitely going to be hard transition for them because they’re going to have to start working extra hard … especially because there are a lot of people on NXT that have worked their whole lives to get where they are. To be honest with you, they DO work hard, but they’re doing it on a reality show and then they get handed the contract at the end of the day. I can see a few jealous people [in NXT] but everyone is cool and cordial and they’ll be fine.”

  • Brie Bella Talks About Daniel Bryan’s Condition, Her Favorite All-Time Stars

M Live recently spoke with WWE Diva and Total Divas star Brie Bella to promote Saturday’s WWE live event at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On how Daniel Bryan is doing: “He’s doing really really good. He feels great. His number one goal is to get back into the ring and he’s doing everything in his power to make that happen.”

On her favorite WWE wrestlers, past and present: “For past superstars, for a woman, I’d have to say Melina. She had the sex appeal and I loved the way she stood out in the ring. As far as past men go, I loved Jeff Hardy. He reminds me of my husband in a way. He’s quieter, but has a presence in the ring that’s like, wow.”

“For present superstars, Paige has been really amazing in our division. I love her aggression. She just has it. For men, besides my husband, who’s injured right now, I would say Dean Ambrose. He’s a maniac. Everything about him is great. He’s fun to watch. When his matches are over, I always wish there was a little more to watch.”

  • Paige Talks About Ronda Rousey’s Influence On The Divas Revolution, Possible WrestleMania Appearance

2-time WWE Divas Champion Paige recently spoke with the The Sun about Ronda Rousey’s influence on the Divas Revolution and the possibility of the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion returning to WrestleMania next April. Here are some highlights of what she said about:

Rousey’s Influence On The Divas Revolution: “That’s the way the world’s going right now, with the whole Ronda Rousey phenomenon — and I’m proud of her for saying what she did to Floyd Mayweather … She’s a great role model for all us women — and definitely, I feel like she’s a huge part of that [the Divas’ revolution] too.”

“Just her appearance at ‘Mania really helped as well, and her main eventing UFC and just becoming such a dominant force in the entertainment and sports worlds. Yeah, I think it all the time, she’s amazing. It’s her, it’s all her!”

Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania 32: “I hope [Ronda will be involved] too, but I have no idea. I have no idea. I’m just hoping I get a match on it! If Ronda makes an appearance and Dwayne makes an appearance, that’d be great. If Stephanie wrestles, who knows?”

Just last week, WWE COO Triple H commented on the buzz that Rousey could be a part of next year’s WrestleMania 32 from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He said:

“There’s a lot of factors involved there. I think she loves what we do, we obviously are huge fans of hers. I think that the opportunity is there if she wants it to be.”

  • Paige Responds To Scott Hall Saying He Wants To Give Her A Spanking

A tweet from Scott Hall has garnered a lot of negative attention on social media for the WWE Hall of Famer.

On Saturday, Paige acknowledged a GIF of herself seductively pinning Brie Bella early in her career in WWE.

    https://twitter.com/BossOfTomorrow/status/630067045565100032

“Back when used to inappropriately touch the divas,” she remarked.

This led the WWE Hall of Famer, who is 56-years-old, to tweet Paige, “Such a naughty girl. I have a good mind to bend you over my knee and spank you.”

    https://twitter.com/SCOTTHALLNWO/status/630078047643938816

Paige wasn’t offended like some people were, though. She wrote to Hall, “People are taking this way too seriously on Twitter. It’s obviously a joke. Plus. I like it ;) haha.”

Hall then said he was joking.

  • Update On WWE Changing Divas Team Name

During RAW this past Monday it was confirmed that the team of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch would be known as the Submission Sorority.

It didn’t take fans around the world long to check out this new team name on Google which ultimately brought up thousands of results to porn videos. This has since led to WWE having to change the name.

During Thursday night’s edition of SmackDown, the WWE quietly made a change to the team name who shall now be known as ‘PCB’ and WWE confirmed this with TMZ.

TMZ reported that WWE changed the name because their TV programming is PG and they weren’t aware that Submission Sorority had ties to anything pornographic.

  • Paige, Charlotte & Becky Lynch’s New Faction Name Revealed

As noted earlier this week, WWE was forced to scrap the name “Submission Sorority” for Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch’s stable due to an adult website already using that phrase.

The trio will now be known as PCB (“Paige Charlotte Becky”). The PCB name is already showing up on WWE.com and WWE’s YouTubue channel.

“PCB’s Charlotte & Becky Lynch clash with Team B.A.D.’s Naomi & Sasha Banks.”

“After their victory over PaigeCharlotteBecky, Team B.A.D. lets the WWE universe know that they are the most dangerous tag team in the Divas Revolution.”

  • WWE Changing Name Of Diva Faction Due To Adult Website?

As seen on Monday’s edition of RAW, WWE has given the trio of Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch a team name, similar to Sasha Banks, Naomi and Tamina being called “Team B.A.D.” and the team of Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox being referred to as “Team Bella.”

Unfortunately, the team name for the babyface trio, “The Submission Sorority,” is also the name of an adult website, a fact that WWE quickly found out about after mentioning the name on national television.

A traffic analyst for the BangBros website told TMZ.com that their web traffic shot up 56% overnight, and they saw a 35% rise in subscriptions. The adult movie company plans on sending Vince McMahon a ‘thank you’ gift basket for the spike in business.

As a result of the slip up, WWE is already talking about changing the group name to “The Submission Sisters.” There was actually some discussions about giving the group the name “Horsewomen,” however the belief was that it could be seen as stepping on UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey’s toes.

  • Detailed Recap Of Paige On The “Stone Cold Podcast” On August 3rd

The following is a complete recap of Paige’s appearance on the “Stone Cold Podcast.” The show aired live on the WWE Network on Monday, August 3, 2015. The following report comes from Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net.

Steve Austin welcomed viewers and the volume of his mic shot way up whenever he raised his voice. Austin introduced Paige and asked what she thought of her match. She said it was “cool” yet said she’s her biggest critic. Austin said they both swear a lot and this should be an Unleashed show. Paige confessed she swears in the ring and has to apologize for it.

Austin noted that Paige is a ten-year veteran. A shot aired of a young Paige on the set’s video screen. Austin noted Pagie’s mother and father Ricky and Saraya Knight. A shot of Paige with her parents appeared on the screen. She noted that her brother wrestles and another brother is a referee. Paige said she was afraid of the violence because her mom was blinded six months into the business. She said she was one of the kids who tried to get inside the ring because she was so worked up.

Austin asked if Paige’s parents ever smartened her up. Paige said not when she was young, but eventually she told them she knows what it is. She said she got knocked out when she got in the ring, but she doesn’t remember what knocked her out. She guessed she didn’t tuck her chin while taking a bump. Paige said she wanted to be like Lita and Bull Nakano.

Paige spoke about being trained by her mom, and Robbie Brookside press slamming his mother.

Paige said she has scoliosis. She said she didn’t have any idea she had it until one of the trainers at NXT noticed it. She said she got an X-ray that showed she has a question mark-like spine. She said it could give her problems down the line.

Austin brought up the Youtube documentary on her family. She spoke about her family and said the idea was to show them leading up to her tryout and perhaps the film would have a happy ending if she got in.

Austin brought up Paige’s bartending and bouncing career. She laughed and talked about how her parents would go away and leave her in charge of the bar at age 15. She said she headlocked one guy, and pinned another guy up against a wall.

    https://twitter.com/davemuscarella/status/628418521333137408

Paige said the best part of her family’s promotion is that American wrestlers would come over. She spoke about meeting Jake Roberts, The Bushwhackers, and Yokozuna.

Paige said she looked up to Bull Nakano and said she modified her finisher to use as her own. She also liked Lita, Austin, and Rikishi. She also mentioned Madusa/Alundra Blayze.

Austin noted that Paige was rejected by WWE after her first tryout. She said she couldn’t bush her hair or do her own makeup properly. She said she hated the way she dressed and was not confident. She said she was timid and passive. She said she busted the lip of her opponent open during the tryout match because she was so nervous. She said she was told maybe she could come back once she had more confidence.

Paige said she came back the next time and decided to be herself. She said Jamie Noble and Goldust ran the tryout. Following a network freeze on my end, Paige spoke about her early run in NXT. She recalled hitting Summer Rae in the cheek with a shoulder tackle.

Austin asked her about transitioning to Paige. She spoke about Dusty helping her by keeping her sane. She said the job is hard whether people believe it or not. Cody told her that Dusty liked to play with the broken toys, so Dusty spent a lot of time working with her. She said Dusty spoke to her about saving her money. She was also censored when she recalled Dusty telling her he wanted chicken dinner from one of her promos and she gave him chicken shit. She recalled Dusty taking her outside and talking with her on the steps of the Performance Center for 20 minutes and telling her that she has something special and can be a star someday.

Paige said she did promos, but she didn’t realize you could tell a story in a promo. She also laughed as she told stories about her father having her work through injuries when she was younger.

Austin brought up John Cena’s broken nose and how he kept doing. Paige said good for him. She said it’s awesome and he’s old school. She said she looks at it the same way. She recalled Daniel Bryan wanting to do the same and not being allowed to. She spoke about having a broken wrist and being knocked out and still continuing through matches when she was younger.

Paige spoke about her mother being a big influence after Austin praised her mother’s work. Paige said her mom would slow her down with a shot if she was working too fast. She said she would do the same in developmental and people would tell her you can’t do that.

Austin asked Paige why she asks people why they want her autograph. She said she thinks it’s more of a low self esteem thing. She said there are all of the gorgeous superstars and she’s a girl from a small town.

Paige recalled The Rock told her to stay humble and hungry. Austin told her that fans who ask for her autograph means she struck a chord with them and maybe they live vicariously through her. Austin suggested that Paige step back when she’s not on the road and realize what she’s doing and how powerful her presence is.

Paige said the message she wants to give people is to be themselves. She said people have told her she helped them get over their eating disorder and anxiety. She wanted to tell a story about Daniel Bryan meeting her family.

Austin brought up Triple H being an influence on her. She said someone stole her identity and she couldn’t pay for a surgery. She spoke about how great he was, and they looked at a photo of her winning the NXT Championship. She said she feels the Divas revolution started because of Triple H.

Paige said she believes Triple H and Stephanie McMahon started the Divas revolution in NXT. She recalled being told that she and Emma twenty minutes on the first NXT special and they were both pleasantly surprised. Austin asked if she opened the door for the revolution. Paige said she feels like “we opened the door” and then praised Sara Del Rey as a trainer. She also praised Fit Finlay and Dean Malenko.

Austin asked who she travels with. Paige said sometimes she travels by herself. She said she used to travel with Emma. She said they used to travel five or six to a car in England.

Austin recalled someone telling him to enjoy life. He asked if she is enjoying life. Paige said she has to have a life coming out of the shows. She said she will go out to eat and go to the bars. She looked like she was worried about being scolded for mentioning the bar.

Austin asked where she feels she is in the business. Paige said she’s still learning. Austin said it’s a benchmark in terms of putting it all together. She said she feels that way some days, but there are other days when she questions whether she gets it.

Austin asked about the transition from NXT to the main roster. Paige said it’s about being bigger. She said it’s entertainment and there are millions of people watching via the camera and thousands in the arena.

Austin recalled working in front of 15-20 people in a parking lot. She said she hears people talking about 1,800 people being a bad live event crowd, but to her it’s still a lot of people. Paige said she would go out there and put on a show even if there was only one person there.

The conversation turned to Tough Enough. Paige said apparently she’s the bad guy. Austin said he enjoys the hell out of the show and he’s not just saying it for a plug. Austin said it was met with some indifference initially this year because they made changes to the format. Paige said she’s received grief (death threats?) because of the way she interacts with the contestants. Austin said she’s being honest and helping them. “My parents did that to me,” she said. Paige said they did it to other people and recalled her mom working up a woman named Bethany who wouldn’t come out of her shell. Bethany slapped her mom, and her mom said that’s the intensity they wanted to see from her.

Paige spoke about Sara Lee cutting a promo on her in week three. Paige said she is happy she picked Sara Lee for the bottom three because she stood out when she fired back at her.
