  • WWE RAW Pros And Cons (2/16/15)

As the entire northeast freezes under a mountain of snow, the WWE decided to dip down to Orlando in an attempt to heat things up heading into Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view. The show featured eight matches, as well as appearances from Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes. Without further ado, here are the pros and cons from this week’s episode of Raw.

    Pros

Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler was pure gold. Before the match, the two engaged in a hilarious back and forth, with Rollins laying down some burnsauce by telling Ziggler: “I know you fancy yourself a comedian but the only thing funny about you is that joke you call a career.” It was also hilarious to hear Ziggler question whether J&J getting him the wrong chocolates ruined his Valentine’s Day. Something tells me his Valentine’s Day was ruined for other reasons… As for the match, it was fast paced, full of spots, and exactly what you’d expect from two of the best workers in the business. Other than the J&J interference and non-finish, this was pretty much perfect on every level. I suspect a match between these two will be added to Fastlane after Smackdown. Here’s to hoping they give these guys 15 minutes and let them tear the house down. Highlight of the night by far.

I enjoyed the Dusty Rhodes backstage segments. The match between the New Day and Gold and Stardust was also nice, as it served as a nice juxtaposition between the brawling opening contest between Ambrose and Harper. Following the match, Stardust attacked his brother and called Dusty a “polka-dotted freak of a father.” I’ll admit, they’ve dragged this out forever and I wasn’t too excited at first, but I’m now getting into it.

Roman Reigns was the man last night. He sounded like a completely different person during his backstage interview before his match with Kane. His calm, confident, and collected demeanor is a stark contrast from the nervous guy we saw out there a few weeks ago talking about beanstalks while stumbing over every other word. His match with Kane was actually decent too, with Reigns winning via countout after hitting a big Spear. Daniel Bryan was on commentary during the match, with he and Reigns playing off of one another very well. It was also humorous to hear Michael Cole state: “Daniel Bryan is trying to steal Roman Reigns’ thunder. Roman Reigns just beat Kane, guys!” That means about as much as beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015.

For a comedy segment, the Paige bit was actually hilarious. The outfit was funny, it actually served some sort of purpose in furthering her feud with Nikki Bella, the fans seemed to be enjoying it, and the match with Summer Rae was good for the time they were given.

The Dean Ambrose “weekend update” promo, where the Lunatic Fringe was parked at a desk looking like a shady used car dealer, was also entertaining. His match with Luke Harper featuring some nice, brawling action and was a good opening contest. JBL’s “we’ve got an air psycho” line had me cracking up, and his plot to force Barrett to sign the contract for Sunday was perfect. Nobody in the midcard deserves the IC Title more than Ambrose, and it looks like he’s going to find a way to capture the gold on Sunday.

Bray Wyatt’s promos are starting to become a bit repetitive, but I still enjoyed his work this week. He once again attacked the Undertaker, stating: “You’re an empty shell, and any fear that I once of you has turned into nothing more than putrid, hateful pity.” I can’t wait to see this program.

  • Prime Time Players Reuniting? Naked Paige Trends During RAW & More

    – “Naked Paige” was trending worldwide on Twitter last night during RAW after the Bella Twins stole her ring gear. WWE even acknowledged the trend:

Speaking of Paige, she’ll be making her second appearance on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast this week.

    – WWE NXT coaches including Bill DeMott, Norman Smiley and Robbie Brookside were all used in the pull-apart between Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns at the end of RAW. DeMott and Brookside were holding back Reigns as RAW went off the air.

    – Last night on RAW, Titus O’Neil saved Darren Young from a beatdown at the hands of The Ascension, leading many fans to wonder if we were seeing the reformation of the Prime Time Players. With both men’s careers floundering in recent months/years (and the Rhodes Brothers breaking up), this doesn’t sound like a half bad idea. In this RAW Fallout video, Darren Young questioned whether or not he’s ready to team up with Titus again.

  • Paige On Which NXT Diva Should Be Called Up Next, Why It’s Hard For Her To Go On Social Media

Two-time WWE Divas Champion Paige recently appeared on “The Josh Podcast,” which is part of “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show.” The WWE Diva spoke out on a lot of topics in the professional wrestling industry, including NXT, the passing of Drew McDonald, “Total Divas,” social media and much more.

The 22-year-old spoke on the impact Drew McDonald had on her wrestling career:

“First of all, he was an absolute legend in the UK and European scene in general. I grew up around him. I’ve known him since I was literally a very small child. He meant so much to me. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here. He was literally like an uncle, as well as someone who gave me the chance to have my dream job.”

“He always said be aggressive. I used to do a lot of wrestling moves, but instead he would say, ‘no you need to be more aggressive, you need to be more angry’. That’s where my head-butts come in, and this is where my knees come in.”

Additionally, the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion addressed the Divas division in NXT, and who she feels should be next to be promoted to the WWE main roster:

“I’m best friends with Bailey, but Sasha Banks is the full package. Like everything about her, she’s got a character; she’s got the moves. Backstage, she is so sweet and professional and actually amazing.”

Paige is quite popular on social media, with over one million combined followers on Twitter and Instagram. Despite this, she reveals that it can be an unpleasant experience.

“It’s so hard to read the comments. I try to, and people get so angry at me. I cant help it there are a lot of comments. A lot of them wind up being extremely rude or extremely sexual or something, I’m just like I can’t respond to that. I’d get in trouble if I tell a guy who says I suck like, ‘F you’.”

Paige also discusses her time in high school, “Total Divas,” among other topics. The audio interview is available here.

  • WWE Issues Statement Regarding Passing Of U.K. Wrestling Legend, Several WWE Stars Comment

WWE issued the following statement regarding the passing of U.K. wrestling legend Drew McDonald.

WWE is saddened to learn that U.K. wrestling legend Drew McDonald has passed away following a battle with cancer. Born in Scotland, McDonald competed throughout the 1980s, ‘90s and ‘00s, and fought against the likes of William Regal, Finlay and Robbie Brookside.

Paige, who McDonald helped recruit into WWE, paid tribute to him on last night’s Raw, wearing the script “RIP Drew McDonald” on her forearms.

“He’s the one who got me here, so that’s only the littlest bit of what I can give back to him,” Paige told WWE.com. “I wanted people not to forget him. I wanted people to know his name.”

Below are several tweets from many of WWE’s European talent regarding McDonald’s passing:

  • WWE RAW Pros And Cons (2/9/15)

The Road to WrestleMania took a brief detour last night, stopping at THE Ohio State University for Raw. Sting finally answered Triple H’s challenge, and the show was bookended by a pair of nearly identical matches. Without further ado, here are the pros and cons from last night’s episode of Raw.

    Pros

The highlight of the night was easily Dolph Ziggler vs. Bray Wyatt. These guys have competed over the past two weeks, and have exhibited amazing chemistry on both occasions. There were a number of impressive spots in this one, including Wyatt delivering a brutal blow to Ziggler’s midsection and a devastating clothesline outside the ring that eventually set up Sister Abilgail for the win. Wyatt later cut another promo, presumably directed toward the Dead Man.

Triple H calling out Sting was a close second. The video package, which featured Sting’s makeup being transposed onto Triple H’s face, was both eerie and entertaining. The only downside to this was the absolutely dreadful Sting doppelganger they sent into the ring. With that said, I absolutely can’t wait to see what these guys have planned for Fastlane.

The Usos squared off with Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. Kidd and Cesaro put in some decent heel work by crashing the dinner party on SmackDown, and it’s certainly nice to see them getting some television time.

Rusev continues to improve on a weekly basis, in my opinion. I loved his promo, where he made claims such as, “You don’t want me. I am a hero.” His brawl with Cena was also entertaining and helped further their feud heading into Fastlane.

    eDJxbXduMTI=_o_katie-vick-segment-featuring-triple-h

The opening promo was also entertaining, but nothing to really write home about. Reigns seems to be more confident on the mic each week, despite a minor flub. It was also nice to see Bryan on the mic, taking a humorous shot at Triple H for his involvement in the Katie Vick storyline.

It’s nice to see Axel getting more time on the mic. His promo was humorous, even if he was quickly dispelled after being hit with Dirty Deeds. Barrett’s new BNZ segment could also be entertaining, but I’m not totally sure how much shelf life it has.

Finally, the main event helped further the tension between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan. The match was nothing incredible, by any means, but there were a few memorable moments, including Dolph Ziggler getting involved at the end. Roman’s spear to Bryan was also the perfect way to end the show. It seems like the next step in Roman’s evolution will be to turn him heel and possibly pair him with Heyman following WrestleMania.

  • WWE RAW Pros And Cons (2/2/15)

After being postponed last week due to snow, the good ole live, in-ring version of Raw was back last night, emanating from the Mile High City. The company was back in full force, with Triple H making a “major announcement” and a big main event between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan. Without further ado, here are the pros and cons from last night’s episode of Raw.

    Pros

The clear highlight of the night was the main event between Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan. Anytime you get two guys with this type of talent in the same ring, you know you’re in for a treat. They certainly didn’t disappoint either, pulling off a number of impressive spots and exhibiting impeccable chemistry. The spot of the match was probably Rollins countering Bryan’s Running Knee finisher into a Powerbomb. In the end, Bryan picked up the win and will face Roman Reigns at Fast Lane for a chance to go to WrestleMania (more on this later).

The second best part of the night was probably the segment involving Curtis Axel and Dean Ambrose. It’s sad when the first thing Axel has to say when coming out is, “Don’t change the channel.” It’s like he’s a mind reader or something. Anyway, it was hilarious to see Ambrose quickly toss Axel over the top rope before telling him he’s now eliminated. Even more exciting was that Ambrose called out Bad News Barrett. This is a program that really needs to happen, as Ambrose is the type of guy who could bring some prestige back to the Intercontinental Title after the company has played hot potato with it over the past few years.

Bray Wyatt had a big night. His match with Dolph Ziggler was incredible, and it was nice to see two guys who don’t work together much get a chance to shine. Wyatt hit a devastating Sister Abigail that Ziggler sold better than anyone to end the match. Later in the night, he cut a promo saying things like, “I am the new face of fear” and, “We cannot wait to see you again.” It looks like they are going with the rumored Wyatt/Taker program for WrestleMania and I, for one, cannot wait. If only they had gone this route last year instead of wasting the streak on a part-timer…

Rusev’s beating of Rowan and post-match promo was money. I absolutely love this guy and he played off of the Russian flag miscue perfectly. Please push this guy to the top and don’t feed him to Cena.

Jimmy Uso and Cesaro looked great together. The highlights were a Cesaro Swing into a Half Crab and a brutal uppercut to end the contest. It was nice to see Cesaro pick up a victory, but the only downside was that they are already teasing tension between Cesaro and Kidd. I’d like to see these guys stick together for a while and get a run with the titles.

Finally, the Miz/Mizdow promo was absolutely hilarious. It was nice to see the Miz berate his now former stunt double and put the wheels in motion for a breakup. Here’s to hoping for a payoff at WrestleMania.

  • Documentary On Jake “The Snake” Roberts Premieres, Paige Talks About Her Menstrual Cycle

The Resurrection of Jake the Snake, a documentary on WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts’ battling his past demons in a struggle to reclaim his life and the family that has given up on him, premiered this weekend at the 2015 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The Salt Lake Tribune has published an article on the documentary, which began as an intervention staged by Diamond Dallas Page and director Steve Yu, a longtime fan.

“Dallas and I didn’t go into this thinking, ‘We’re going to help this alcoholic and drug addict,’?” Yu said. “We knew that Jake had kind of lost hope in his life and that he needed some help with his health. It turned into something we didn’t expect it to.”

    – A cameraman for TMZ.com caught up with Paige at Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday-Paige was arriving to New Jersey for a live event that evening in Trenton—who asked her what the worst part about being a woman is.

“You don’t have to get periods,” said Paige about what men don’t have to go through. “You don’t have to go for the menstrual cycle monthly, and that makes you want to choke everyone out.”

The Total Divas star was then asked whether this makes it more difficult for her to wrestle.

“No, it just makes you more aggressive,” she said. “It probably helps out a little bit, you a scream a little bit louder.”

  • 2015 WWE Royal Rumble Preview And Predictions

Poll: Who Will Win The 2015 WWE Royal Rumble?

Tonight, fans will be treated to perhaps the most exciting sixty-plus minutes of action all year. Bodies will be flying, dreams will be shattered, and ultimately, one man will punch his ticket to WrestleMania. However, there are still many questions to be answered before we start discussing ‘Mania. Most importantly, here is how I believe this Sunday’s Royal Rumble will play out.

The New Day vs. Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Adam Rose

Screen shot 2015-01-23 at 3.33.36 PM

It’s sad to see Kidd and Cesaro once again relegated to the pre-show, but at least they are getting some airtime, I suppose. On one hand, I expect Adam Rose to find a way to screw things up and cost Kidd and Cesaro the match. With that said, the New Day got the upper hand on Raw by picking up a clean victory, so based on WWE logic, it’s Kidd and Cesaro’s turn to win.

Winners: Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Adam Rose by pinfall

The Usos (Tag Team Champions) vs. The Miz and Damien Mizdow

Screen shot 2015-01-23 at 3.32.49 PM

Am I going crazy, or have we seen this matchup way too often in recent months? It seems unlikely that Miz and Mizdow would pick up the titles shortly after dropping them, especially as they continue to tease tension between the two. I think Miz once again tries to steal the show and refuses to tag Mizdow, eventually costing the team the match. This will further tension between the partners, eventually resulting in a breakup and payoff match at WrestleMania.

    Winners: The Usos by pinfall

Paige and Natalya vs. The Bella Twins

Screen shot 2015-01-23 at 3.33.01 PM

This was basically slopped together so there’s not much to analyze or discuss. Either Paige or Natalya (whichever they want to challenge for the Divas Championship next month) forces Nikki to submit for the win.

Winners: Paige and Natalya by submission

  • One Year Ago: The 2014 WWE Royal Rumble

A lot can change over the course of a year, especially in the WWE. At last year’s Royal Rumble, Batista earned the opportunity to headline WrestleMania, going from fan favorite to Bootista in a matter of moments.

It will be Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, and a whole slew of others hoping to earn that opportunity this time around, as the card for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble appears to be officially set. Here is a look at the superstars who have taken a leap forward over the past year, as well as those who have taken a step backward.

    Progression

    1. The Shield

    the-shield

Nobody has progressed over the past year more than the three men who formerly comprised The Shield. Roman Reigns set the record for the most eliminations at last year’s Rumble, although he was never really seen as a serious threat to win it all. This time around, he’s the odds-on favorite to win the Rumble and headline WrestleMania.

Reigns eliminated his former partners at last year’s event as a means to tease tension between the former Hounds of Justice. Both of those men have moved onto better things. Seth Rollins will be challenging for the title this time around, and Ambrose is seen as one of the most credible entrants in the Royal Rumble match. Believe that.

    2. Brock Lesnar

    lesnar-gold

Lesnar destroyed Big Show’s back at last year’s Rumble, walloping him with a chair about 50 times in a match that lasted two minutes. His character’s direction was unclear at the time, having engaged in various feuds in 2013 that didn’t really go anywhere, largely due to Lesnar’s limited schedule.

A few accomplishments have been added to his resume since last time around. Most importantly, he apparently broke some sort of WrestleMania undefeated streak that fans held dear to their hearts. Cena and Rollins will attempt to slay the Beast this year, as he comes in as WWE World Heavyweight Champion and undisputed top dog in the company.

  • Two New Matches Announced For This Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble PPV

On Monday’s WWE Royal Rumble “go-home” edition of RAW, two new matches were announced for this Sunday’s pay-per-view event.

In what will be the WWE Royal Rumble “Kickoff Show” match, the New Day faction, which consists of Kofi Kingston, Big E. and Xavier Woods, will compete in a six-man tag-team match against Tyson Kidd, Cesaro and Adam Rose.

Also announced for this Sunday’s Royal Rumble show is a Divas tag-team match, which will feature The Bella Twins vs. Paige and Natalya.

Make sure to join us here on the website this Sunday night for live WWE Royal Rumble play-by-play results coverage.

  • Paige Talks About Her WWE Debut, Her Pot Brownie Rib On Natalya & More

WWE Diva Paige was recently interviewed by Chuck Carroll of for The Turnbuckle Weekly. You can listen to the full interview at Washington.CBSLocal.com.

She spoke about a number of topics, including her first WWE Divas Title win and the truth behind the “pot brownie” prank she pulled on Natalya on the season premier of Total Divas.

Paige said when she reported to the arena in New Orleans the Monday following WrestleMania 30, she had no idea she was going to wrestle her first match on the main roster, let alone dethrone AJ for the Divas Title. Paige said she was told  about the title win very informally and casually.

As for the “pot brownie” rib she pulled Natalya, she said it was a spur of the moment thing and wasn’t suggested by producers.

Paige also discussed what it has been like working with AJ Lee, WWE locker room cliques and who she hangs out with, why some new characters fall flat with fans and more.

  • Another Possible WWE HOF Inductee, More On Naomi Being Taken Off Total Divas

    – Pat Patterson is reportedly pushing for his former tag-team partner, “The Crippler” Ray Stevens to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year, particularly because of the fact that it is located in Northern California, where Stevens was a major star during the territory days.

    – One of the reasons WWE Diva Naomi was taken off of the cast of Total Divas this season is because of the belief that the show can only have so many storylines centered around married couples having issues. The decision was made to take her off of the show in favor of two single women, Paige and Alicia Fox.

  • Preview Upcoming “Total Divas” Episodes, Poor Attendance To SmackDown, Melina Speaks

    – The next two all-new episodes of Total Divas will center on Eva Marie. The synopsis for this Sunday’s show is as follows: “Eva blindsides Jonathan with news that she should have delivered before they got married. Also: Rosa’s job is threatened; and Nikki retaliates.” It is titled “Baby Not on Board 312.”

The synopsis for the all-new episode airing on Sunday, January 18 reads “Eva is faced with a life-threatening medical issue; Paige gets a bit too close to Nattie in the ring; and what starts out as a friendly competition between Nikki and John escalates into a serious fight.” It is titled “Twin Leaks.”

    – Attendance at last night’s SmackDown and Main Event tapings in Laredo, Texas was said to be very poor.

    – Former WWE Divas and Women’s Champion Melina, who has not granted many interviews since parting ways with WWE in 2011, spoke to Jim Ross on Tuesday for a Ross Report podcast that will be released next month on PodcastOne.com.

  • Randy Savage Reportedly Set For WWE Hall of Fame Induction, Nikki Bella Reacts To Raw

    – There has been a lot of talk behind the scenes in WWE over the past couple weeks regarding “Macho Man” Randy Savage being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

During an interview with Steve Austin last month on the WWE Network, WWE Chairman and chief executive officer Vince McMahon said that the legendary wrestler will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Although McMahon revealed during the podcast that Savage will receive an induction at some point, he did not say exactly when the former WWE Champion will receive the honor.

    – As seen last night on Raw, Natalya rode a distraction from Paige and defeated Nikki Bella in a reverse of last week’s result, Paige then ran to her Total Divas castmate’s aid and saved Natalya from an after-the-bell ambush by the Divas Champion. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Paige will square off with Nikki in a non-title match. Following last night’s events, Nikki offered her thoughts via Instagram.

She wrote, “As I have had time to think.. To get lost in my thoughts.. Last night on RAW was a disgrace. A kick in the face is a lack of respect. It’s a dishonor to your champion, to your Queen. If you don’t have the WWE Network I suggest you get it bc tonight I will destroy PAIGES of what I thought was my next chapter. Main Event just got heated up. It just got FEARLESS! #FearlessNikki #MainEvent #RackAttack @wwe.”

  • Divas Match Announced For This Week’s Edition Of WWE Main Event

It was announced on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW, the first episode of the show in 2015, that a Divas match will be taking place on this week’s edition of WWE Main Event on the WWE Network.

After an angle on Monday’s RAW that saw Paige attack Brie Bella during a match between Natalya and Nikki Bella, it was revealed that Paige will be taking on WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella on Main Event. They did not say that the match would be for Bella’s Divas Championship.

  • Note On WWE SmackDown Name Change, Alicia Fox Talks Joining Total Divas

    – With WWE switching SmackDown to Thursday nights, the show will no longer be referred to, or listed as “WWE Thursday Night SmackDown” in any cable systems. Instead, the show will simply be called “WWE SmackDown.” The change officially went into effect on some cable systems this past Friday night.

    – WWE Diva Alicia Fox recently spoke to E! Online about joining the cast of Total Divas alongside Paige and Rosa Mendes. Below is an excerpt from the interview.

“It feels amazing. I feel so lucky because it’s just so cool hanging out with Paige and Rosa is amazing. We’re mixing some things up, it just feels really quite cool. I’m a good bit nervous because I’ve worked with some the girls quite a while, so I’ve got some really good relationships with the girls. But nervous, of course! Excited nervous! Between Paige, Rosa and I, whenever we have a disagreement we call it ‘going to the hood.’ We’ve gone there before and some things may be shown on Total Divas. We’re all pretty independent, spicy women so even within a group of friends there will be tears.”

You can check out the complete interview at EOnline.com.

  • Rosa Mendes On Her Relationship With Paige & Alicia Fox, Managing Fandango & More

The following are highlights of a new Latina.com interview with WWE Diva and Total Divas cast member Rosa Mendes:

What can viewers expect in the next half of season three? “Well my two best friends, Paige and Alicia Fox, got added to the cast. We’re all really, really alike. We’re all free-spirited [and] we don’t have filters. When we all hang out together we’re so comfortable in front of each other that we are able to act like ourselves and not be shy. We’re not judgmental towards one another. So it’s really, really cool that they got added because now I can be around other Divas that are more like me, which is a lot easier for me.”

Speaking of Paige and Alicia, we heard your clique rivals the Bella Twins and Cameron. How will this change the dynamic? “Well we call ourselves the three amigas and we’re very, very close. We’re very protective of one another, and we’re very tough and truthful to one another. When a problem arises we’re not afraid to call each other out and it can get very intense [Laughs] to say the least. If I get in a confrontation with other Divas, like let’s say Ariane, I’ll kind of be more reserved and I won’t voice how angry I am because she and I are not as close. I respect her and I respect her work, but we’re not as close so I won’t tell her exactly what’s pissing me off. Whereas with Paige and Alicia Fox, they’re so close to me that we’ve actually gone nose-to-nose. We never touched each other because we never do that, but it gets very, very heated [Laughs]. And after that we make-up, we hug it out, and everything’s fine but it gets to the point where we’re like, wow that was really intense.”

You’ve had a lot of success in leading other Superstars and Divas to the spotlight, how do you plan to shift the focus back to you? “Actually, right now I’m managing Fandango. This is a totally new thing for me and it’s really, really cool because Fandango is extremely talented in the ring and he’s also like the hottest Superstar we have. So I might get to be very close to him and kiss him, and it’s really… [Laughs]. It’s like a Diva’s dream come true and I’m single too, so it’s nice. We dance together, and it’s a very heated flamenco dance so this just started a couple of weeks ago. We’ve been working very closely with each other and I’ve got to say I’m enjoying it very much [Laughs].”

We’ve learned a lot about you already, but do you think coming back for the second half of the season will be different than the first? “Oh yeah, absolutely. Having two new cast members brings a whole different dynamic. I am very close with Natalya, but that was kind of the only person that I was really, really close to last season and now I have Paige and Fox. So that brings a totally new world to the show. We do everything together. We go on adventures together, we learn new things together, we go on trips together, and all three of us are single and looking for love. Well not really looking for love, I’m looking for love [Laughs]. But all three of us are single and very, very adventurous so it brings a totally new kind of thing to the show.”

  • Paige Explains Why WWE Wanted Her On Total Divas, Her Relationship With AJ Lee

The following are highlights of a new Miami Herald interview with WWE Diva Paige:

On why officials wanted her on Total Divas: “That’s the thing about ‘Total Divas’ because you don’t expect me on it; so it brings something new to the table. That’s pretty much why they wanted me on it in the first place. They wanted me a while back. At first, I was like, ‘No.’ It was wrestling, wrestling, wrestling. After a while, I spoke to my family about it. Then when the opportunity came again, it was like, ‘You know what. Yes. I’m going to do it.’ It was an opportunity I didn’t want to regret later on. These are girls I work with all the time, and they are great people. So I thought, ‘Why wouldn’t I want to work with them on a reality show, too?’ The only thing I was worried about is that I shut off from my personal life. I’m not good at opening up with people. It took me a while on the show to do it, but when you see it you will say, ‘Okay. That’s the reason why.’”

On what to expect from her on the show: “You’re going to see me be very blunt with people. You’ll see me have some kind of confrontation, whether it be physical or verbally. You’ll see me make terrible decisions. You know what though; that’s me. I just like people can see it. They can see I am completely different than the rest of the girls. I change the whole dynamic. You’ll see me open up. I’m going to share a lot, which I never do. I’m going to share a lot of my background and a past relationship. You’ll see a lot of that, but then you’ll also see the crazy stuff I’m up to because I try to make the most out of my days off. When we are home, you run errands typically. But I’m like, ‘No, I’m going to do this or that.’ I’m a little bit of an adrenaline junky. I’m doing a lot of crazy stuff, and I drag Foxy [Alicia Fox] and Rosy [Rosa Mendes] along for the ride.”

On her relationship with AJ Lee: “She is actually one of my best friends. She knew I was coming up, and this was my debut. Here is me, this girl from NXT that wins the championship on her first day. AJ was so sweet and so humble, and she helped me every step of the way. She was incredibly nice. She gave me tips. Before she went away for a little bit, she told me what to do and how to react. She helped me with promos. I would go to her and say, ‘Hey, what do you think about this?’ Then she would say, ‘That’s good, but what if you did it this way?’ She is so helpful. We travel together. I’m so lucky to have her and work with her. She has always been this different diva, kind of like the anti-diva. I really looked up to her. I’m happy to have had a storyline with her.’”

  • Paige Talks About Joining The Cast Of Total Divas

E! Online has published a new interview with WWE Diva Paige, who joins the cast of Total Divas when the new season premiers this Sunday night. Here are some highlights of what Paige said about:

Joining The Cast of Total Divas: “I’ve always wanted to do it. People behind the scenes always said they wanted to get me on the show because they need a different kind of Diva. The cards got moved around a little bit and they asked me if I’d take part and I said, ‘Hell yes!’ It helped because I already knew the girls, but they were all so great and they helped me through it. It was different going from WWE TV to a reality show. You have to be you and I’m not used to being me. I’m used to being Paige on TV. I opened up a lot and became myself. It was great.”

Her Family’s Reaction To Her Doing Reality TV: “To be honest, my family is so supportive of everything I do and the more opportunities I get, the more happy they are for me. You’ll get to see a little bit of my dad on the show and I will tell you, he gets mad at me over the decisions I make, but overall they’re happy for me.”
