Paul Heyman Talks About Brock Lesnar’s WWE Schedule

Brock Lesnar made his surprise return to WWE during the recent Money In The Bank pay-per-view on May 19th. He would end up victorious in the ladder match, securing the briefcase containing a year-long championship opportunity.

Since then, Lesnar has appeared on Monday Night RAW in order to tease which champion he will be cashing in against. To some, he has already appeared more frequently on WWE than they might have initially guessed.

In an interview with TVInsider.com, Brock Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, hinted that the WWE Universe may be seeing a lot more of Lesnar in the future—especially in contrast to the number of appearances “The Beast” made during 2018.

“I think you’ve already seen more of Brock Lesnar than I think people had any right to expect by the middle of May. Certainly, nobody called this shot. Since Brock Lesnar is about to announce the title he is going to focus on, I think you’re going to see more of Brock Lesnar in 2019 than you did in 2018. How much more? Again, why spoil the surprise?”

Brock Party

When asked whether he would prefer to see Brock challenge Seth Rollins or Kofi Kingston, Heyman responded that he would rather see his client take on both Rollins and Kofi in a handicap match.

“Beat them both, unify the titles and hold them both over his head and hop on a private jet to go to the greatest steakhouse in the world—which I will not reveal because I don’t want people bothering us when we go out to dinner. Unfortunately, WWE would like to protect its investment in either Seth Rollins or Kofi Kingston, knowing that Brock is going to F5 and take them to “Suplex City” and conquer at least one of them. Unfortunately, they won’t let us cash in on both at the same time. Knowing the ability of Brock Lesnar, that would be my preference.”

It’s likely that Brock Lesnar will be cashing in against RAW Universal Champion, Seth Rollins, for a championship opportunity at WWE’s next Saudi Arabia show, Super ShowDown—despite apparently just discovering he has a year in which to cash in his opportunity.

Paul Heyman Discusses Potentially Taking Over WWE SmackDown Creative

Paul Heyman addresses potentially taking over the creative end of WWE SmackDown Live.

This idea came about earlier this month when WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray made it known that Heyman should take over as head writer of the show when it airs on FOX in October.

Heyman spoke with ComicBook.com about a wide range of topics including this possibility. While he didn’t answer the question, he did seem somewhat interested in a role like that.

“I have interest in anything that serves the product.” He would note whether that’s performing with Brock Lesnar, or producing Lesnar, or working with Ronda Rousey. He would add that includes any of the new talents that are about to explode in 2019 and 2020.

“I serve at the pleasure of the WWE audience and so that everyone knows I’m not just paying lip services with that statement. Please note, I didn’t give the politically correct, public relations statement of ‘I serve at the pleasure of the WWE Universe.’ I meant what I said, I serve at the behest and the pleasure of the WWE audience.”

Heyman noted that anything he can do to deliver to fans or a better product that “would be a more forward-thinking presentation, a more innovative approach to what WWE should be moving forward then that’s what I’m interested in being involved in.”

Paul Heyman Sends Message To Top WWE Champions

Paul Heyman recently took to his official Twitter account where he sent a message to WWE Champion Kofi Kingston and WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. He wrote the following:

This is playing up the storyline that will be finished on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Kansas City, MO at the Sprint Center on the USA Network.

This is where Heyman and Brock Lesnar will reveal who they plan on cashing in the Money in the Bank contract on whether that be Rollins or Kingston.

Lesnar and Rollins are both advertised but have yet to be given opponents for the Super ShowDown pay-per-view event that takes place on Friday, June 7th, 2019 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

At this show, Kingston will defend the WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler. With that being said and although not confirmed, there is speculation that Rollins will make his next title defense against Lesnar at this event.

Lesnar won the contract for a title opportunity at the WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view event in Hartford, CT at the XL Center. Rollins and Lesnar have a history as Rollins beat Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35.

Paul Heyman Wants Credit For WrestleMania Prediction, John Cena Trolls Baron Corbin

Paul Heyman has made it known that he was the man years ago during a Q&A session to predict that Charlotte Flair would be in a WrestleMania main event during her career in WWE.

The company has already confirmed that WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Flair will headline WrestleMania.

Heyman shared a link to a video from his WrestleMania 33 Axxess Q&A where he made this prediction as well as tweeted out the following:

John Cena Trolls Baron Corbin

John Cena continues to have fun at the expense of Baron Corbin. The former WWE Champion shared a photo of Corbin last week and did so again this week on his official Instagram account. This is all due to the backlash from fans about the fact that WWE decided to have Corbin face WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle at the upcoming WrestleMania 35 event.

This will mark Angle’s farewell match, and Corbin will serve as his final opponent, which didn’t sit well with people due to the legendary career that Angle has had in the pro wrestling business. Cena shared a photoshopped image of Corbin’s face on his body while in the ring with Angle.

This image is actually from Cena’s in-ring main roster debut where he battled Angle on an episode of SmackDown in 2002 where they wrestled a match. You can see it here.

Paul Heyman Hypes Brock Lesnar’s RAW Appearance, Drew McIntyre Sends Warning To The Shield

Paul Heyman Hypes Brock Lesnar’s RAW Appearance

Paul Heyman is fired up and took to his official Twitter account where he hyped WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar appearing on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW where he’ll continue the build of his program with Seth Rollins heading into WrestleMania 35 where he’ll make his next title defense against the RAW star.

Heyman wrote the following on Twitter, “Heading to meet up with the Reigning Defending Undisputed @WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion @BrockLesnar to discuss our approach to this situation involving @WWERollins. Consider this HANDLED as of tomorrow night, #RAW LIVE from #Chicago! @USA_Network @WrestleMania #Advocate.”

Drew McIntyre Sends Warning To The Shield

Former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre has fired a warning to The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose) through the power of social media. He did so when he sent this message to the fan favorite group:

This comes after he attacked Reigns prior to his first match on the flagship show of the company in several months and then when he beat Ambrose in a Falls Count Anywhere Match on last week’s show. Now, he’s set to face Rollins on tonight’s show.

Paul Heyman Segment Not Shown On RAW Last Night (Video)

Shelton Benjamin attacked Seth Rollins last night on RAW. His actions led to a match between the two competitors.

WWE has recently posted what happened during the commercial break which led to Benjamin and Rollins having a single’s match.

Shelton Benjamin and Paul Heyman on RAW

During the segment, Benjamin was named as Brock Lesnar’s “assistant coach.” Heyman also referred to him as Lesnar’s former training partner. Rollins said that the Shelton Benjamin he knew wouldn’t hit and run but rather stay and fight him.

Shelton Benjamin

43-year-old Shelton Benjamin was first brought into Ohio Valley Wrestling nearly 20 years ago. He made his main roster debut alongside Charlie Haas as members of Team Angle in 2002. After his 2010 release, he signed with NJPW in 2012. As a part of Suzuki Gun, he left NJPW with the faction for Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2015.

Benjamin re-signed with WWE in 2017. He’d been on the shelf for about a year following surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff.

Benjamin was an All-American at the University of Minnesota in 1997 and 1998. He and Lesnar won the OVW tag-team championships 3x. Benjamin is a former 3x Intercontinental champion, 2x WWE tag-team champion (along with Charlie Haas), and a former 1x United States champion.

Lynch Rips Rousey Promo, Heyman Praises Lio Rush

Lynch Rips Rousey Promo

On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Women’s Royal Rumble winner Becky Lynch confirmed her WrestleMania intentions. She will be challenging RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. Lynch interrupted Rousey and Bayley after their RAW Women’s Title bout. However, it looks like a big change could be coming to that match.

Rousey struggled in her promo early on, as the crowd was giving her a hard time. WWE sent Bayley out early to begin their match. Afterward, Lynch came out and went face-to-face with “The Rowdy One.” They jawed off at one another before the segment came to an end. Earlier today (Tues. January 29, 2019) Rousey took to Instagram and issued out a message to Lynch:

“One big difference between me and you @beckylynchwwe – everything you said last night was fantasy make believe. And every word out of my mouth was a fact. ”

Lynch responded by taking a shot at Rousey’s botched promo:

“No, I believe you’re a killer, Ronnie. You were murdering that whole segment until The Man bailed you out.”

Heyman Praises Lio Rush

Also on RAW this week, Lio Rush took shots at Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor, on behalf of his client, Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley. He followed up on Twitter by once again calling Lesnar and Balor out:

“Just so we’re clear…..Bobby > Brock on any given day. That little twerp Finn wouldn’t stand a chance in hell against

https://twitter.com/itsLioRush/status/1090092056536469504

Heyman responded by praising Rush, saying he has a huge future ahead of him. However, he also pointed out that he spelled Lashley’s moniker wrong:

“I like . He has a huge future. Tremendous talent, super young, only going to get better and better and better. But if you’re going to call out on behalf of your client, at least spell your own client’s nickname correctly. IT’S ON YOUR SHIRT, LIO!”

Paul Heyman Praises Tommaso Ciampa, Nia Jax On Randy Orton’s RKO

Paul Heyman Praises To Tommaso Ciampa

Paul Heyman recently gave some high praise to NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa through the power of his official Twitter account. The advocate for WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar on WWE television saw Ciampa successfully retain the title against Aleister Black in the headliner of the NXT TakeOver: Phoenix event in Phoenix, Arizona.

Heyman brought up how everyone should want to stand out like Ciampa, and he’s the level you need to compete with.

Nia Jax On Randy Orton’s RKO

WWE fans are still talking about the decision to have Nia Jax steal R-Truth’s #30 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match and taking some finishers from three WWE stars.

Dolph Ziggler hit a superkick to the former WWE RAW Women’s Champion then Rey Mysterio followed up with a drop kick and the 619.  Finally, Randy Orton connected with an RKO. She reacted to the spot when she stated on Twitter that she’s okay with it as she tweeted this photo of the RKO.

https://twitter.com/NiaJaxWWE/status/1089930628626169856

The spots have gained quite the interest online and attracted a lot of views from this video that WWE posted on their official YouTube channel.

Paul Heyman: “Brock Lesnar Rewrote The Bible At Royal Rumble”

Last night at the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar defeated Finn Balor to retain the Universal Championship. The match appeared to be going Balor’s way after he rammed the champion’s midsection into the corner of the announce table. Lesnar was able to secure the submission and the victory, however, after locking in a Kimura after kicking out of the Coup de Grace.

Paul Heyman was asked in the backstage area if he was ever worried Lesnar was going to win the match.

“Tonight, you and the entire WWE universe got to witness history,” Heyman said. “My client, the reigning, defending, undisputed, Universal heayvweight champion, Brock Lesnar revised, re-wrote, re-imagined the bible itself,” Heyman said. “And if you, the WWE Universe, the God or the Devil has a problem with it then take it up with Brock Lesnar.”

Brock Lesnar Universal Championship Reign

Brock Lesnar is in the midst of his second reign as WWE Universal Champion. He first won the title at WrestleMania 33 from Bill Goldberg. He would defend the title 6x over the course of his 503-day reign with the belt. Lesnar then dropped the title to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam this year. He would regain it at Crown Jewel on November 2nd, however, when he defeated Braun Strowman for the title Reigns was forced to vacate earlier.

Goldust Injury Update, Paul Heyman Calls Out Gimmick Infringement

Goldust Injury Update

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Goldust underwent double knee surgery this past summer. After undergoing surgery in Alabama, Goldust is expected to make a full recovery.

He joined the “WINCLY” podcast last week to discuss his status. The 49-year-old noted he has been undergoing a lengthy rehabilitation process. Goldust thinks he’ll be good to return to the ring after an evaluation at the WWE Performance Center this week :

“Wednesday at the Performance Center is my next evaluation and I believe we’re gonna probably get me cleared that day,” said Goldust. “So I’m hoping. They put stem cells in both knees and my knees feel a lot better. I’m feeling pretty good.”

Paul Heyman Calls Out Gimmick Infringement

The Cricket World Cup recently used a play off WWE’s Paul Heyman’s “Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat” catchphrase. They Tweeted out “Eat. Sleep. Finish games. Repeat.” in reference to Indian cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni:

Heyman responded to the Tweet by saying he and Brock Lesnar will take their royalties in cash, check, stock, or cryptocurrency:

“My most (in)sincere compliments to for promoting the amazing by paraphrasing my mantra for . Our royalties may be paid in cash, check, stock or cryptocurrency.”

The Cricket World Cup account responded by saying they’ll give Lesnar and Heyman free tickets to the game:

“How about tickets to the for you and ?”

Heyman responded by saying the Cricket World Cup was “exploiting” the fame of himself and Brock Lesnar. An appearance by himself and “The Beast” would also cost the Cricket World Cup around eight figures in appearance fees:

“. Thank you for your interest in expanding your global audience even further by exploiting the fame/notoriety of and the reigning defending undisputed Universal Champion . I look forward to your 8 figure appearance fee offer.”

Ronda Rousey Working With Paul Heyman Behind The Scenes

Ronda Rousey cut a memorable promo on Becky Lynch this past week on Raw. In whats been dubbed the “Millennium Man” promo, Rousey laced into the SmackDown Women’s Champion for being an avocado-toast eating snowflake. It seems some of that material came may have been inspired by none other than Paul Heyman.

Rousey keeps a YouTube channel where she uploads a weekly video blog. In latest video (filmed on Sunday), the Baddest Woman on the Planet revealed that she was getting ready to meet with Heyman to work on ideas for Raw.

“After a long, I don’t even know how long flight, I’m going to chill out and finally get to Kansas City,” Rousey said on the video. “And then meet up with Paul Heyman and we’ll go over some ideas for tomorrow. Then Raw’s tomorrow!”

Opinion: The prospect of Ronda Rousey and Paul Heyman working together in any capacity is intriguing. Heyman’s aptitude for professional wrestling is unrivaled and countless performers have credited him with enhancing the trajectory of their careers. One has to wonder what Paul Heyman’s future holds once Brock Lesnar finishes up with WWE. Some fans might love the idea of Rousey being a Paul Heyman Girl, but the real money is in Paul Heyman guiding a slew of challengers to rid WWE of Ronda Rousey once and for all.

Rousey & Becky Lynch’s Trash Talk

“Becky, you are so hypersensitive,” Rousey said on Monday’s Raw from Kansas City. “You aren’t just the man, you are the millennial man. You are the skinny jeans wearing, V-neck sporting, avocado toast munching, winged-shoe wearing, millennial man, with a bubble-wrapped ego and a porcelain self-perception. Someone needs to tell the man that I am not Charlotte Flair, Raw is not Smackdown, and being offended doesn’t make you right.”

Lynch responded to Rousey on social media. The Man tweeted, “When you’re babbling on about avocados, I’m main-eventing my show AND your show. Did you hear that last night, Ronda? That’s the sound they make when The Man comes around.”

Renee Young Reflects On Paul Heyman’s Support And Advice

Renee Young made history recently by becoming the WWE’s first ever full-time female commentator when she joined the RAW commentary team.

Turns out that she had a number of supporters backstage who were rallying for her success, one of whom was none other than Paul Heyman.

Speaking with Bleacher Report, Renee mentioned how Heyman had always been a vocal supporter of hers, ever since she first signed with the company back in October 2012.

“He’s had my back from the get-go,” she admitted. “He did not need to do that. For whatever reason, he [Heyman] and I have always been close when it comes to talking about being better and wanting to be the best.”

Young also revealed that Heyman gave her advice before her RAW commentary debut, remembering that “he just kind of gave me advice on how to be a little more succinct, how to create those little punchlines.”

“You’ve gotta think about what this is going to sound like in a video package,” Young elaborated. “Make sure you’re saying their name instead of he or she. Just little nuggets like that that you might forget. And I do forget. Sometimes, I might be out there and catch myself saying, ‘Oh, he just speared him’ instead of ‘Roman Reigns just speared Braun Strowman.'”

Paul Heyman Calls Out NFL Team For “Stealing” Catchphrase

Paul Heyman is not a happy man.

The longtime WWE personality is recognized as one of the greatest professional wrestling minds in history. With that being said, it’s no surprise he struck gold when he innovated Brock Lesnar’s “Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat” mantra.

It took off so much that Lesnar even has merchandise that sports the exact phrase. Now, one NFL team has decided to “borrow” the phrase. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released a new shirt that says “Eat, Sleep, Bucs, Repeat.”

Heyman took notice of this and immediately called out the NFL franchise on social media. He noted that after five years of saying the phrase on TV, major companies and teams are still “borrowing” it.

He said the use of the mantra is “blatantly stealing” and demanded royalties from the Tampa Bay Bucs:

“It’s nice to know that almost 5 years since I said as the mantra for on , major companies and teams like the are still “borrowing” (blatantly stealing) the catchphrase. Send us our royalties, please!”

Rumor Killer On Kevin Owens & Paul Heyman

There seems to be a rumor floating around that WWE is considering pairing up Kevin Owens and Paul Heyman.

Currently Owens is in a storyline in which he has “quit” WWE. After his unsuccessful bid for the Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins on Monday’s RAW, Owens said he “quit” before leaving the ring.

There is a ton of speculation as to what is going to happen to “KO.” Will he join SmackDown Live? Perhaps turn babyface? The possibilities are endless. Somehow a pairing with Paul Heyman seemed to get into the rumor mix.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter‘s Dave Meltzer reports that this is not true. “The story going around that Heyman will return to manage Owens has no validity to it,” Metlzer wrote. Owens’ WWE status remains unclear.

He is currently advertised for live events in October. Owens will team with Elias against John Cena and Bobby Lashley. If this remains the case, it looks like Owens won’t be off TV for a long time.

The reason so many people seemed to believe the Heyman story was because it actually makes sense. Heyman is now without an advocate with Brock Lesnar losing his Universal Title and departing to the UFC.

Lesnar will challenge Daniel Cormier for the UFC heavyweight title in the beginning of 2019. A pairing between Heyman and Owens would certainly be an entertaining one, but it doesn’t seem to be in WWE’s plans as of this writing.

Paul Heyman Praises Maria Kanellis As Most Underrated Creative Mind In Pro Wrestling

Paul Heyman has given some high praise to Maria Kanellis. On his official Twitter account, Maria’s husband, Mike Kanellis, had an interaction with a fan and in that discussion, Mike dared the fan to ask Heyman what he thought of Maria.

This is when Heyman gave the praise to her by stating that he thinks she is “the most underrated creative mind in the industry” and “has been since 2005 when I witnessed it myself in WWE.” You can see his tweet here:

If you recall, Maria and Mike made their debut as a couple on WWE television at last year’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event by cutting a promo about how everyone would know what the Power Of Love was all about.

It’s been an exciting time for the married couple since then as Mike is now approaching one-year of sobriety and they had their first child, daughter Freddie Moon. When Maria announced that they were expecting, she was taken off the road with the sports entertainment company.

She was last seen on WWE television during the RAW 25 Anniversary show back on January 22, 2018 where WWE honored her as well as Jacqueline, Trish Stratus, Bella Twins, Maryse, Kelly Kelly, Lilian Garcia, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool, Terri Runnels as women who contributed to the company’s success.

Earlier this month, Kanellis revealed that she suffered a broken wrist while training for her return to the ring and would be in a cast for six weeks. Kanellis added that she will be recovered in time for the WWE Evolution pay-per-view on October 28.

Jim Ross Reveals The Unlikely Genesis Of His Friendship With Paul Heyman

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and Paul Heyman have been friends for decades. The duo worked together multiple times over the years, first in WCW and later in WWE. On the latest episode of the The Jim Ross Report podcast, JR revealed their friendship actually formed after Ross was arrested for DUI (driving under the influence).

“I’ve mentioned before that I’ve had a DUI.” Ross said. “I’m not proud of it. I lost my drivers license for, I think, three months or six months. I’m not sure, but I know my driver was Paul Heyman, which let me get to know Paul and we started working together.

“And you see how that has worked out over the years, very good. It’s funny how sometimes a calamity can bring people together. And the volatile ‘Happy’ Heyman and I became connected through my stupid DUI.”

Today, Ross is featured on WWE TV from time to time. Heyman has served as the Advocate for Brock Lesnar in recent years. Following Brock Lesnar’s loss to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam, it remains to be seen whether or not he will remain with the company.

Last summer, Paul Heyman made a surprise appearance at the Ringside with Jim Ross show during SummerSlam weekend. Heyman gave an emotional speech about JR’s late wife Jan, who had been killed by a reckless driver just weeks earlier.

Update On Paul Heyman’s Future With WWE

With Brock Lesnar seemingly being done with WWE after his SummerSlam loss, there are questions about Paul Heyman’s future with the company as well.

The latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter provides some update on his situation, and it reveals that there has been talk of keeping him on Television as a performer.

While the Newsletter doesn’t elaborate what role Heyman may be given in future, the most likely scenario is that he will end up managing someone on the main roster.

One name that has been discussed in the past for the position is none other than the former UFC Star Ronda Rousey who is the female counterpart of Lesnar in many ways.

It has been reported previously that Ronda hoped to be paired with the former ECW owner when she came to WWE, and the idea was discussed before Lesnar extended his contract past WrestleMania 34.

However, with the Women’s Champion seemingly reigniting her feud with Stephanie McMahon on this week’s Raw, it wouldn’t make sense for her to be paired with Heyman anytime soon.

To have Paul as her manager will mean that Ronda will be turning heel and the general feeling is that it’s too early for the former UFC Star to portray a villain in the company.

If the company does decide to pair him with a current star, who would you like to see becoming the next Paul Heyman guy in WWE? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Paul Heyman: “I’m In The Brock Lesnar Business”

For as long as anyone can remember, Paul Heyman has always stood at the side of Brock Lesnar.

This past weekend Lesnar dropped his Universal Championship to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Now, Lesnar will prepare for a UFC heavyweight title opportunity against Daniel Cormier.

He’s expected to return to the UFC early next year. Lesnar’s advocate, Heyman, did an interview with Sports Illustrated over the weekend to promote SummerSlam. During the discussion, Heyman made a rather interesting comment.

The Brock Lesnar Business

Heyman claimed that he’s not in the business of WWE, professional wrestling or sports entertainment. Paul Heyman is in the Brock Lesnar business:

“I think there are a lot of people who would argue that I have not been in the WWE business, the pro wrestling business, the sports entertainment business, et al for quite some time, and that I’ve arrived at a place in my career where I am in the Brock Lesnar business. Please feel free to develop your own conspiracy theories based on that.

“Evolution is the DNA of a continued existence. Those who don’t evolve become the subject of a ‘Whatever Happened To’ story. I can only hope that I’m a very different person and performer, some would suggest the different person aspect is most important, but I digress, than I was a decade ago.

“And I hope to be a much different person and performer a decade from now as well. I’ve been blessed with a long enough career that I’ve been allowed to grow into this role..

“The concept? Keep a Brock Lesnar experience as a rare occurrence, so when it happens, it’s not only ‘Can’t miss’, it is ‘Must see!’, and hopefully, that takes us back to the WWE/UFC business philosophy of Brock Lesnar, which then translates into ‘Must pay!’

“Let’s keep in mind, whether it’s WWE, UFC, boxing, Major League Baseball, the NFL, NHL, NBA; it’s a business. And it’s a business of rights fees and box office.”

Paul Heyman: Seth Rollins Is WWE’s Next ‘Breakout Rebel’ (Video)

Paul Heyman surprised the audience of Cheap Heat Live last night in New York’s Sony Hall theatre. The advocate for Brock Lesnar took time out of a busy Summerslam weekend to speak on topics ranging from WWE’s current product to naming a modern-day version of the Dangerous Alliance.

Perhaps the most notable question Heyman answered, however, was in regards to who he feels is the next big rebel in WWE today. The audience member cited guys like Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and CM Punk as rebels who launched WWE into very successful runs for the company.

Paul Heyman knows a thing or two about rebels, counter-culture and the X-factors that lead a talent to break away from the pack. Heyman said, “Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins because he continuously comes up with moves that are politically incorrect and they have to tell him to stop doing them but they become so popular that they end up saying to him ‘alright go ahead, we’ll deal with it, go do it.'”

Heyman continued to describe Rollins’ rebellious contributions to WWE. “It’s because he’s innovative and he rebels against the system that tries to be politically correct and he continues to be politically incorrect and when he came up with the saying of ‘Burn it Down,’ he was being honest about what he thought would be the constraints of what was being put on him, that he’s going to break through that and do things his way and innovate a style that you can only see in a Seth Rollins match.”

Paul Heyman on Working For Vince McMahon

David Shoemaker then asked Heyman how he feels about working for Vince McMahon. Heyman didn’t address the answer directly but rather corrected Shoemaker regarding who he works for.

“I really don’t consider myself in the Vince McMahon business, I don’t consider myself in the WWE business,” Heyman said. “I pretty much now have found a place in life where I am in the Brock Lesnar business.”

Paul Heyman’s New Dangerous Alliance

Heyman was also asked about the lack of factions in wrestling today. He was asked to put together a Dangerous Alliance 2.0. Heyman responded that there is already a modern version of the stable, however.

“Would you like me to tell you who’s in it?” Heyman asked. “Two members: 1) Brock Lesnar 2) Paul Heyman. That is as dangerous an alliance as you’re ever going to get in WWE.”

Heyman on running a wrestling promotion & more

The first question of the evening centered around the WWE Universal Champion’s torso tattoo. Heyman took a bit of time to berate the question and the person asking it before he gave his answer though.

“Obviously (he’s) trying to insinuate that the tattoo looks like a penis,” Heyman said. “Because, of course, that’s what would attract *points out question-asker* a p***y.”

Heyman was asked about what it’s like to run a wrestling promotion. He responded with a quote he heard from UFC President, Dana White.

“I think actually the person who said it best was Dana White,” Heyman said. “That when he wakes in the morning and his feet hit the ground he knows he’s already 100-miles deep in s**t to deal with.”

Someone in the audience asked Heyman about a member of New Day going solo and winning a single’s title. Heyman used the Shield as an analogy.

“Why would you break up that group?” Heyman asked. “Why would you take a group like that and split them up? It would be like splitting up the Shie… nevermind on that.”

After some murmuring from the crowd, Heyman continued, however. “Hey, when Roman Reigns was in the Shield you guys thought he was the coolest..” the crowd disagreed with this. “Yes, you did! Yes, you did!”

Heyman continued to say New Day were the most entertaining team aside from the Usos, which got some cheers. If he was a member of New Day and collecting their merchandise cheques, Heyman said, they’d have to sue him to break that group up.

As time ran out during the live show, the Hall of Pain music hit and Mark Henry entered the stage. This spelled the end for Paul Heyman’s eventful surprise appearance in the Sony Hall Theatre.

Bobby Lashley Reflects On Being Mentored By Paul Heyman, His Main Roster Debut

Bobby Lashley has reflected on being mentored by Paul Heyman as well as making his debut on WWE SmackDown in 2005.

The former ECW Champion recently made an appearance on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia to talk about various topics including what Heyman told him just moments before making his main roster debut.

Lashley started out the story by stating that he wasn’t supposed to debut on that episode of the blue brand as there was nothing going on for him but rather he was just one of the OVW talents who were on the road with the main roster at the time and they allowed him to work a few dark matches at house shows.

This is when he was backstage and in catering when someone came up to him to tell him that he was working a match that night. He was taken back by that news then he walked over and there was Paul Heyman.

“As crazy as this is, he came and talked to me because he mentored me back in OVW when I was in OVW, he was a writer there and he was the one that talked to me and got to know me. He just walked over to me with that smug little grin that he always has on his face and looked at me and goes, ‘You nervous?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah I’m nervous, what are you talking about? There’s 17,000 people here! I just started wrestling!’

Lashley continued the story by stating that Heyman told him that the only thing that messes you up is this whole anticipation act. He noted that Heyman told him once they call his name, then he will have to go out and will do great. Heyman reassured that he is going to be excited then once coming back from the ring, he would think about ‘man why did I kill myself before?’ Lashley added that if you can handle this stuff now, the rest is easy.

The WWE RAW Superstar brought up his future goals in the WWE where he stated that he wanted to be a household name and future hall of famer in wrestling as he wants to pay his dues, travel the world and have an impact on people while he wins titles and set records.

Lashley added that “I want to have the respect from some of the people that I wrestled with and say, ‘You know what, I really enjoyed wrestling with Bobby.’ I want to have the fans come and say, ‘You know what, that was awesome what he did. He left, came back 10 years later and still was on the top, still set records, and was able to get back afterwards.’”

Lashley also talked about being portrayed as a heel, his love for pro wrestling and much more. You can listen to the full episode here:

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw Paul Heyman being interviewed by Renee Young backstage where Heyman said that Roman Reigns doesn’t stand a chance against Brock Lesnar.

However, the company later posted an extended cut of the video from their YouTube account. In the video as seen below, Heyman says the same line but extends his comments by saying ‘unless’ before leaving:

What does this mean for the upcoming Universal Championship bout is yet to be seen but Paul Heyman’s comment is sure to start some speculation about Lesnar and the SummerSlam main event.

The New Day Celebrates With AJ Styles

The main event of this week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw The New Day defeating Sheamus and Cesaro ‘The Bar’ in the finals of the Tag Team tournament in a highly praised match.

This victory earned the trio the right to challenge Bludgeon Brothers for their SmackDown Tag Team Championships at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

After the episode got over, WWE posted the following video where the New Day is seen celebrating their victory on the show with the WWE Champion AJ Styles:

More Information On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Status

Brock Lesnar’s current run with the WWE is beginning to wind down.

Before he takes off to challenge Daniel Cormier for the UFC heavyweight title, Lesnar needs to fulfill some obligations as WWE Universal Champion. He will do so when he defends his strap against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

As for “The Beast’s” current WWE schedule, he is being advertised for one more Monday Night RAW before SummerSlam. That would be the go-home edition of RAW before the pay-per-view (PPV) in Greensboro, North Carolina in two weeks.

There are also rumors going around that Paul Heyman helped put together some of Lesnar’s segments on last night’s RAW. Lesnar refused to come out of his locker room until the end of the show. Upon doing so, he attacked both RAW General Manager Kurt Angle and his own advocate Paul Heyman.

After the show Lesnar also attacked WWE interviewer Mike Rome. With Lesnar now back in the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) drug testing pool, fans also noticed Lesnar is looking a tad smaller.

SummerSlam goes down live on PPV from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19, 2018.

Jazz Discusses Paul Heyman Advising Her Against Breast Implants

Former WWE head of security Jimmy Noonan recently interviewed two-time WWE Women’s Champion Jazz on his podcast, Noonan Speaks. Jazz first talked about getting her start in 1998 in ECW and praised both Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer:

“I was in ECW in ’98 and I had my first pay-per-view match.” Jazz recalled, “I was doing house shows and all that and I was part of Justin Credible’s entourage at pay-per-views before the single’s match. I debuted my single’s pay-per-view match against Jason Knight at Heat Wave in ’99.

“And that was the birth of ‘The Female Fighting Phenom’. That did it.” Jazz added, “I always give props to Paul E. and Dreamer for seeing something different in me and something that I had to offer to the [pro wrestling] business, so I owe a lot of credit to Dreamer and Paul E.”

Jazz credits Heyman for being the most influential person in her professional wrestling career. She revealed that Heyman actually advised her against getting breast implants because she didn’t need them to stand out:

“I always put Paul E. over in every interview.” Jazz explained, “I always put him over because, first, at the time, there [were not] many African American women in the business, especially on that level. He saw something in little old me and he gave me an opportunity. And he knew I was different.

“He told me, ‘please, no matter what you do, you don’t need [a] boob job. You don’t need this and that. Like, you’re totally different and that’s going to make you different. That’s going to set you out and make you look different from any other girls. Never, ever consider getting boobs or any of it.’ And that’s why he came up with the motto of, ‘my T and A [does not] stand for t–s and ass.

“My T and A stands for talent and ability.’ So Paul E., he knew what he was doing with me and he set the tone of who Jazz is and he turned me into ‘The Female Fighting Phenom’. Like, Paul E. Heyman, and Dreamer, he had a great mind for the game as well. They still do. Do you know what I’m saying? And this is what they saw in me and they gave me my first opportunity to showcase what I can offer to the business.”

Paul Heyman Rather Watch Commercials Than RAW, Seth Rollins Calls Out Drew McIntyre (Video)

Heyman Rather Watch Commercials Than RAW

Glenn Rubenstein of Wrestling Inc. Tweeted out a mention to Paul Heyman during last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, asking if The Advocate was watching the show.

Heyman responded by saying that RAW is built around challengers instead of a once in a lifetime athlete like Brock Lesnar. Heyman then said that the commercials were actually the best part of the show:

Rollins Calls Out Drew McIntyre

Last night Seth Rollins was on the verge of recapturing the Intercontinental Championship from Dolph Ziggler. Rollins and Ziggler main evented the show and were putting on an absolute classic.

Initially McIntyre accompanied Ziggler to the ring but was thrown out backstage by the referee during the match. Just when it looked like Rollins was about to win the match, McIntyre came out to break things up and attacked Rollins. The Architect won the match via disqualification, however, the title could not change hands.

Backstage WWE pulled Rollins aside for an interview. Rollins said he’ll stomp on McIntyre’s face and knock his teeth out for standing in his way of the Intercontinental Title:
