  • Jim Ross Q&A: Future Ross Report Guests, Sting/WWE HOF, Damien Sandow

The following are highlights from a new website Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On his debut “Ross Report” podcast and future guests: “Austin will be back for Ross Report #2 next week followed by Mauro Ranallo, Trish Stratus, and Mick Foley. I’ve got some great guests coming on to shoot the breeze. Thanks for listening.”

On why Ron Simmons was more successful as part of a tag-team in WWE: “Hmmm…he did well in both roles especially being pivotal launching Rock from the Nation. The APA thing with JBL was good too and garnered a great deal of TV time. They were two different presentations that were both executed well.”

On whether or not Sting never working for WWE will prevent him from going into the WWE Hall Of Fame: “Absolutely not. I wold bet a case of JR’s BBQ Sauce that Sting is in the WWE HOF within 2-3 years.”

On if he feels Damien Sandow is being underutilized in WWE: “I’d agree that Sandow could be more of a force. That’s partly WWE’s fault and partly the talents. To be great it takes a partnership between company and talent.”

  • Undertaker To RETIRE This Year?, MAJOR Star To RETURN To WWE + NEW HOF Inductees …
  • Jim Ross Q&A: Warrior vs. Ryback At WMXXX?, Hogan, CM Punk/Chicago RAW

The following are highlights from a recent Jim Ross website Q&A update:

On rumors that Hulk Hogan failed to pass a WWE medical: “I’m not a big, rumor guy. Surprised that you are. I’ve endorsed Hogan to be a part of WM30 for months and never once have I said that he needed to wrestle to be an asset to the event. Hogan has horrific back problems so why put him in any risk unnecessarily? That wold make no sense.”

On why we don’t see Undertaker much outside of WWE: “He likes his privacy and is serious about protecting the overall mystique of his TV persona.”

On who should induct Ultimate Warrior and rumors of him wrestling Ryback at WrestleMania XXX: “I have no idea who will induct Warrior at the WWE HOF and haven’t thought that much about it. I also have no idea why so many think that Warrior is wrestling Ryback at WM30? Has that match been officially announced or is it more speculation?”

On the idea that Bad News Barrett’s bad news at RAW in Chicago should be that CM Punk isn’t there: “That’s been suggested by others. It might work. Or Punk might be back.”

  • VINCE MCMAHON Returning To RAW, Sting/WWE Update + Wyatt Family BREAKING UP?!
  • Jim Ross Q&A: MVP In TNA, Kurt Angle/WWE, Hogan Wrestling Again, Cesaro

The following are highlights from a new website Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On Antonio Cesaro: “Cesaro is a star who’s underutilized and is a stalwart in the locker room. Fans like him out of respect for his in ring work. Flip a switch on him and it’s done.”

On Justin Gabriel: “Not sure why Justin Gabriel hasn’t made more of an impact. Something is missing from the equation.”

On the possibility of Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns headlining a future WrestleMania: “Sure, it’s possible. Time will tell. All must remain healthy and avoid issues.”

On whether or not Hulk Hogan has one match left in him: “If true, it’s a great idea but I don’t need to see Hulk attempt to wrestle.”

On MVP working in TNA: “He’s a positive, fresh face that should help TNA if they plan long term, utilize MVP’s skills and lessen Dixie’s presence on their show. ”

On the WWE Network: “I’m WAY out of the WWE Network loop. I’m not aware of how they will deal with the many issues that are likely to pop up for the start up. I’m hopeful that the Network is successful for many reasons even though some fans will find things wrong with it just because that’s their usual MO.”

On Kurt Angle returning to WWE: “Lots of things have to happen for Angle to return to WWE including extensive medical, etc testing. His in ring days are very limited.”

  • Jim Ross Q&A: Big Show’s Career, Undertaker’s Retirement, Montreal Screwjob

The following are highlights from a new online Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On if WWE could do more with rivalries in wrestling: “For the most part more can be done for all rivalries. It’s a time consuming process and many fans and decision makers have little or no patience in allowing issues to organically evolve. Too much is over thought.”

On who he considers to be the most “over” star in WWE today: “Daniel Bryan.”

On his thoughts of Big Show’s career: “He’s had a distinguished career. He’s an attraction talent who has been forced to be an every day player which is tough.”

On how many years The Undertaker has left as a performer: “I have no idea. Not as many as he has invested.”

On the Montreal Screwjob: “I’ve addressed this SO many times here at the Q&A’s and on many blogs, etc. I was not aware of what was going to occur in Montreal. I had no idea what was to go down. Don’t recall the talks about bringing Bret back as he had health issues and a significant financial deal with Time Warner.”

  • Jim Ross Q&A: Steiner Brothers, Batista/Royal Rumble, Undertaker’s Creative Input

The following are highlights from the latest Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On those who say the Steiner Brothers never hurt anyone in the ring: “They were physical guys and the business isn’t ballet. I loved the Steiner Brothers tag team.”

On what it was like to deal with Stevie Richards and The Blue Meanie: “Really good men. Wish we had more of them. Solid citizens.”

On how much creative input The Undertaker and Paul Bearer had in their characters: “An ample amount. Always in the loop.”

On if Batista should have been kept as a Royal Rumble surprise entrant: “Key word here is hindsight. That’s the easiest thing in the world to do when it comes to many things including booking ideas. I had no issue on how Batista was handled.”

  • Another BIG WWE Return Coming, STING’s WWE Debut Info + WMXXX Rumors
  • Jim Ross Q&A: Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Bryan, WWE In Chicago Without CM Punk, Batista

The following are highlights from a new Jim Ross Q&A update:

On why fans should take Randy Orton as champion seriously after losing multiple “non-title” matches: “It’s an old school philosophy. The champion losing non title bouts gives the impression that the title holder is vulnerable and ripe for the pickings.”

On his thoughts of a potential Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle match: “If both were healthy and the match was creatively presented as it should, there is no doubt that those two wouldn’t have a great performance.”

On his thoughts on how WWE should handle the upcoming event in Chicago without CM Punk: “The show must go on and hopefully it will have enough good content to help some fans move on so as to not to negatively disrupt the broadcast to an unwatchable degree.”

On his thoughts of all the recent hatred from the fans towards Batista: “I’d guess it was merely the fall out of the Daniel Bryan situation and not directed directly at Batista.”

  • BIG Changes Made To WMXXX Plans, KURT ANGLE Coming To WWE?! + WWE HOF *SPOILERS*
  • Jim Ross Q&A: CM Punk Leaving WWE, Roman Reigns’ Future, Sting/WWE, Austin

The following are highlights from the latest online Q&A update from WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On CM Punk’s WWE exit and if it will upset viewers if “The Authority” continues to misuse popular talent: “You’re mixing fiction w/ real life which isn’t a compatible combination. No one can make all of today’s fans happy.”

On if the door is open in WWE for Sting to come in to the company: “Door has been open for years. I assume that it still is.”

On Undertaker and his WrestleMania streak: “The Streak is as big an element to WrestleMania as any thing can be. Whoever fights Taker there will be in a key spot. I like the mystery and all the rampant speculation that comes with the topic. Once a decision is made as to who Taker will perform with then the next round of complaining will likely commence.”

On if Steve Austin will ever wrestle again: “This has been addressed dozens of times. I think that it is less than 50/50 Austin ever wrestles again. It’s been over 10 years and he’s moved on to other successful projects such as his podcast.”

On potential talent in WWE that can become a future champion: “Anyone of several talents that are young including Roman Reigns. WWE is seemingly working diligently to facilitate young talents to get over to the next level. It’s an exhausting process and many talents never make it.”

  • CM Punk To TNA?!, Daniel Bryan Upset With WWE, & Sting/WWE Update
  • Jim Ross Q&A: Booking Of WMXXX, Royal Rumble Grade, Daniel Bryan, More

The following are highlights from a new online Q&A update posted by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On whether or not not including Daniel Bryan in the Royal Rumble will hurt his popularity: “How does one judge an entire storyline while it is still being played out? I’m not smart enough to do such. I do think that Daniel Bryan is more popular today and is getting much more fan attention than at any time in his career. I’m curious to see what WWE does with this matter. It’s far from over in my view.”

On if he’d like to see a special attraction six-man tag between The Wyatt Family and Hulk Hogan, John Cena & Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX: “That might work. As usual, it all depends on presentation and execution. What sounds good on paper isn’t always a guaranteed hit.”

On if they should include Daniel Bryan in the WMXXX main event to avoid a bad crowd reaction: “You might be right but the landscape can change drastically between now and April 6. I’d consider closing the PPV with Undertaker’s match assuming that he’s working on WM30.”

On the school-letter grade he would give the Royal Rumble: “Overall…B- or a C+.”

  • Jim Ross Q&A: John Cena Heel Turn, Kurt Angle WWE Return, WMXXX Matches

The following are highlights from a recent Jim Ross Q&A update:

On overcoming Bells Palsy to continue his on-camera career: “Thanks for reading my blog and for the insight. None of us should allow something like Bells palsy define us.”

On why WWE has 30 men in the Royal Rumble when only a handful of guys could potentially win: “I think perhaps this matter is being a little over thought. A 30 man show biz presentation seems to work ok. Enjoy the presentation and the ride. The same could or can be said of many matches.”

On if he feels Kurt Angle could pass the WWE physical for a potential WWE return: “I’m not a doctor nor do I know the extent of Kurt’s physical ailments, so I have no way of answering your question with any degree of accuracy. I’d hope that he could.”

On if WWE should bring back the “squash match” formula: “I have no issues with enhancement matches. I’d much rather see long arcing story lines return. Longer term planning generally equates to greater success.”

On his guesses for possible WrestleMania XXX matches: “I see Batista vs his former teammate Orton & Lesnar attempting to beat The Streak. Just one man’s take on the matter.”

On if he feels WWE will ever turn John Cena heel: “I don’t see Cena turning. He sells too much merch and is a fantastic spokesman for WWE. There’s no reason to flip him.”

  • Jim Ross Q&A: Hogan vs. Austin, Daniel Bryan/Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns/Usos

The following are highlights from a recent Jim Ross online Q&A update:

On if he feels Roman Reigns will ever work with his cousins The Usos: “I assume that any thing is possible down the road. It likely wouldn’t be often or remotely on a regular basis.”

On if it’s fair to compare today’s era against the Attitude Era: “”Fair?” It’s merely speculation and not a decree of fact. Today’s roster has some intriguing, underdeveloped pieces who need to continue to evolve plus have others added to the mix to ever approach the Attitude Era roster. I hope that they do.”

On why WWE didn’t do Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin in 2002: “Nothing serious that I recall. Rock was a better fit for Hogan at WM18.”

On if WWE talents had more creative freedom back in the late 90s and early 2000s: “Yes, somewhat. Those that could assemble their thoughts in a good way were provided some creative flexibility. Needs to get back to that.”

On if he feels Daniel Bryan will be in the Royal Rumble, and if so, should he win: “Your guess is as good as mine. He’s facing Bray Wyatt at the Rumble but that doesn’t mean that any of those talents in one on one matches can’t be in the Rumble match too. Tune in and see….that’s what I’m doing.”

The following are highlights from a recent website Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On if he wears his WWE Hall Of Fame ring often: “Yes, I’m proud of my WWE HOF ring and wear it often.”

On if there’s a chance WWE will invite Richard Sherman to WrestleMania XXX: “A chance? I assume so. However, I am not in the WWE loop any longer anddon’t have any idea as to what WM30 plans are. I do know I will do my one man show in NOLA on Thurs April 3 at the House of Blues.”

On how The Rock is as a person: “Great guy. Highly motivated…positive…goal oriented…ambitious. Has always been good to me and visa versa.”

On which version of John Cena he most enjoys: “I am a fan of today’s John Cena.”

On who had the more successful era financially: Hulk Hogan or Steve Austin: “Hard one to quantify but both men were giants within the business in different eras and with different criteria.”

On if he expects TNA to survive the next three-to-five years: “I certainly hope so. I don’t know their financial business.”

On if he was surprised by the quality of past Undertaker-Batista matches: “Not really. Both are big money players. They had chemistry. Taker’s extraordinarily special. Dave’s a beast. Great combo.”

On The Undertaker’s streak: “I’m not a fan of a The Streak ever be broken. It’s not torch passing material.”

On Hulk Hogan’s participation at WrestleMania XXX: “I see Hulk in a tag before him doing a singles bout w/ a wrecked back.”

On the possibility of a WWE Divas Tag-Team Championship: “At the moment, I’m not overjoyed by the potential of a Divas Tag Championship but I’m willing to see how it evolves over time if it happens.”

On if he considers The Undertaker a heel or a babyface: “He is without question a hugely popular, character ‘face.”

The following are highlights from another Q&A update from WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On WWE never booking a program between The Dudley Boyz and The Road Warriors: “The Dudley’s are two of my all time favorite guys to work with in WWE or elsewhere. On his thoughts of Chris Benoit as a wrestler: “Obviously, Benoit was a great in ring performer, one of the best pound for pound wrestlers that I ever saw. Unfortunately, that isn’t what he’s going to be remembered for. Please do not continue to send me more questions about Benoit. I’ve answered this the best that I can and, no, he will never be in the WWE HOF, IMO, because of the last hours of his life.”

The following are highlights from yet another Q&A update by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:

On if Shawn Michaels decided to wrestle again, should he face The Rock: “I simply don’t feel HBK is returning to the ring. I believe him when he says he’s done.”

On the chemistry he had with Paul Heyman in the announcing booth: “It was awesome. Two complete opposites who were quickly able to refine our act. Paul’s very talented.”

On rumors of Batista returning to WWE: “If Batista returns he’s obviously main event bound. Wouldn’t surprise me.”

On the way WWE is using Damien Sandow: “I can’t answer your question as I’m not involved with WWE Creative. However, I like Sandow’s persona. I think he’s getting ample TV time and it’s up to him to maximize his minutes, no matter if one thinks they are for better or for worse. That’s what pros do. If he steers the course, more often than not, he will come out the other side whole. Legit talents who persevere generally prevail.”
