    – After Monday’s Raw broadcast at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, went off the air, Sheamus recovered from his pinfall loss to CM Punk to challenge Big Show to a Last Man Standing Match. The two brawled after Sheamus called Big Show “yellow,” with the bout culminating with a Brogue Kick.

    – Randy Orton was among the lumberjacks advertised in WWE’s promotional graphic on Raw for the CM Punk vs. Sheamus match, but did not appear. Orton noted on Twitter in the morning that production for 12 Rounds: Reloaded in Vancouver, British Columbia, wrapped up the night before. The WWE Championship Match at Hell in a Cell was made official tonight on Raw as Vince McMahon decided that CM Punk will defend his belt against Ryback. After both competitors signed their Hell in a Cell contract, Ryback delivered the Shell Shock to the WWE Champion.

As a result of the growing animosity between Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio, it was also announced that the two competitors will face off at the pay-per-view event. The Viper gave a surprise attack to Del Rio on SmackDown last week before RKO’ing Ricardo Rodriguez onto the announce table.

The announced card for Hell in a Cell, which takes place Oct. 28 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, is as follows:

    * WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Ryback

  • Randy Orton Heel Turn Update, Dolph Ziggler Talks About Cashing In MITB

    – Randy Orton has been very outspoken in recent months about his desire to play a heel character on WWE television again. Orton, who is currently out filming “12: Rounds: Reloaded” for WWE Studios, was asked by a fan on Twitter about his favorite gimmick or storyline of his career. Orton replied, “Where I’m a HEEL.”

As previously reported, WWE has been holding off turning Orton heel until they feel comfortable that World Heavyweight champion Sheamus can carry the brand as the top babyface. According to WWE sources, Orton will be getting his wish and turning heel some time this fall.

WWE.com has an article up looking at Dolph Ziggler’s comments on Friday’s SmackDown that he plans to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE Hell in a Cell and “guarantees” that he will be World Heavyweight champion by the time the night is up. The article speculates that Ziggler might be bluffing:

“Yet another possibility is that Ziggler’s guarantee is simply a red herring and he has no intention of making a major move Oct. 28. Just because The Showoff said he will cash in his contract at WWE Hell in a Cell does not mean he necessarily will cash in the contract. (Bryan pulled a similar ruse last year, first promising to cash in his contract at WrestleMania, only to pull the trigger at WWE TLC.) Despite his guarantee to take the title Oct. 28, might Ziggler choose to survey the situation in Atlanta before taking any drastic measures?”

  • Randy Orton Once Again Indicates He Wants To Be A Heel, Bobby Eaton Hospitalized In Arkansas, Today’s Birthdays

  • Randy Orton Addresses His 60-Day Drug Suspension From WWE, Online Battle For Privacy

Randy Orton addressed his recent 60-day suspension for his second violation of WWE’s Talent Wellness Program during an interview with WWE Magazine. He admits that the numerous reports published online regarding the suspension made it difficult for him, though not because of how he may be perceived by fans and his parents.

“That was really hard for me,” Orton says of the suspension. “Not because of how fans would look at me or how my folks would look at me. To be honest, my mom and dad were happy that I had 60 days off. I was worked to the bone for the last four years. What really hurt most about this suspension is that, when my [4-year-old] daughter’s older, she can go back and [read about me online].”

Save for the occasional Twitter post, Orton refrains from using social media due to the venom some people have directed toward him and his family online. He now regrets revealing his family life in last year’s WWE DVD release on his career, The Evolution of a Predator.

“I look back at my DVD that came out last year, and I had my wife and daughter on there,” Orton said. “I really, really, kick myself for doing that. It was a good story, but it just gives people ammunition. For all the good that me doing what I do has done for my family, there are just as many negatives.”

There are numerous pages on social media outlets Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter, and other websites, dedicated to Orton and his private life. Some, however, are quite venomous and publish false information, which is his main source of contention. In his battle for privacy, Orton has taken matters into his own hands by personally contacting websites that have published alleged accounts of his outside-the-ring affairs and demanded that it be taken down.

He says of this new age of social media where wrestlers’ personal lives are exposed, “Instead of being able to tune in a few hours a week and watch us on TV, they can talk about us, claim to have knowledge about every aspect of our personal lives, type this knowledge, and then it’s written as truth.”

  • Announce Team For Monday’s Raw Confirmed, What If John Cena Reformed The nWo?

    – Jim Ross announced on Twitter Sunday evening that he and Michael Cole will call Monday’s Raw at Times Union Center in Albany, New York.

    – The official WWE website has an article looking at seven classic factions and reimagining them with current Superstars and Divas. One dream sequence includes John Cena betraying fans to reform the nWo.

Article writer Kevin Powers states, “Who could possibly comprise the modern incarnation of the most notorious faction of all time? It would take a major betrayal of the WWE Universe akin to Hulk Hogan’s original collusion with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The only Superstar capable of such an impactful move would be none other than John Cena.

“When Hogan deceived WCW, he was as polarized as Cena. Some still loved the classic red and yellow, others were tired of it. Judging by Cena’s reactions in various arenas all over the country, the same can be said for his creed of “hustle, loyalty and respect.” The Cenation leader could eventually just have his fill of “Cena sucks” chants, grab a can of black spray-paint and really give the WWE Universe something to “boo” about.”

Powers recreates the New World Order with Randy Orton and Christian in the role of a veteran tandem similar to The Outsiders, Big Show as a returning member, Michael McGillicutty following in the footsteps of alumnus and father Curt Hennig, David Otunga as a legal adviser, and Michael Cole fulfilling Eric Bischoff’s role as a loud and obnoxious mouthpiece.
