    — WWE announced Tuesday morning via Joey Styles that Randy Orton will face CM Punk in a Last Man Standing Match Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Orton cleanly defeated Punk in a fifteen minute match last night on Raw. It was a re-match from their bout at WrestleMania, which was also won by Orton.

    — After R-Truth mercilessly attacked John Morrison last night on Raw, the WWE Superstar grabbed cigarettes from an audience member and blew smoke in Morrison’s face. Earlier, The Shaman of Sexy derided his former tag team partner for his smoking habit and challenged him for his position in the title match at Extreme Rules, which he won.

R-Truth’s bit with the cigarettes did not air during the Raw broadcast in the UK.

Based on what we’ve heard from TNA sources, Hardy is trying to work an angle (that is so unlike him) and is not really injured.

    — Kurt Angle used the RKO on Jeff Jarrett during their two-out-of-three falls match at TNA Lockdown, and then went on Twitter to comment on using the maneuver, writing:

“Orton, I used Your Finish as a sign of Respect. Not to get back at U. Respect!”

Angle has continued to call out Orton. He added the following this afternoon:

“To Randy Orton, as You said- Imitation is a form of flattery. Know that I did that out of Respect. GOD Bless.”

    — Hulk Hogan wrote the following on Twitter regarding TNA Lockdown:

  • Randy Orton Tells A Story Lance Cade Going To Jail For Him

With WWE currently overseas for the WrestleMania Revenge tour, Randy Orton posted the following [short] story on Twitter about his friend, the late Lance Cade:

Tomorrow we are in Belfast, Ireland. I remember Lance [Cade] and Trevor [Murdoch] intervened just as I was about to take a shot to the face from a fan at the hotel bar. They took out 3 other threats all in about 6 seconds. We had to put our $ together to bail them outta jail the next morning. RIP Lance Cade RIP”

Lance Cade pased away last summer on August 13, 2010.

  • VIDEO: Trailer For “That’s What I Am” With Randy Orton

Earlier this week, The Hollywood Reporter website posted the first review of the new WWE Studios film, That’s What I Am, which co-stars Randy Orton. To read what THR said about the movie and Randy Orton’s first big screen acting role, click here.

The first video trailer for the movie has been released – check it out:

  • VIDEOS: John Cena Pays Tribute To Edge After RAW

After Raw went off the air, Randy Orton gave the RKO to Alex Riley. John Cena then gave the Attitude Adjustment to The Miz.

Both Cena and Orton paid their respects to Edge, who announced earlier in the show that he would never compete again due to a serious spinal condition. Cena referred to him by his real name, Adam Copeland. Cena recalled Edge winning the WWE Championship from him in the Elimination Chamber and that people thought he would never amount to more than a tag team champion.

Cena mentioned that when Edge said he was leaving due to medical reasons, he wasn’t joking. Cena asked for one more send-off from the audience so Edge could hear them backstage.

Cena placed the microphone in the center of the ring and the crowd gave Edge a standing ovation. Both Cena and Orton left the ringside area to conclude the event.

Check out these videos of what happened after RAW:

  • Previews For Tonight’s RAW, Tough Enough & DWTS

    – WWE Tough Enough will move to it’s permanent timeslot tonight at 8PM (Eastern)  on the USA Network, one hour before RAW. John Cena will be featured on tonight’s show, which is titled “Five for Flinching.”

Steve Austin wrote on Twitter over the weekend that Bill DeMott “totally destroys everthing in his path” on tonight’s show.

    – Tonight’s episode of WWE RAW takes place from the Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. As of early Monday afternoon, no matches have been announced yet for the show. With WWE’s next pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, just 3 weeks away, there’s a good chance we’ll find out that show’s RAW brand main event tonight.

The advertised dark match main event will see John Cena and Randy Orton teaming up against WWE champion The Miz and Nexus leader C.M. Punk.

WWE United States Champion Sheamus likely will not be on RAW tonight, as he was overseas in Qatar on Sunday promoting WWE’s upcoming show there. Considering the WWE crews are flying out for Europe later this week, it would be unlikely for them to make him fly back from Qatar to the United States for RAW tonight and then back out to England this week.

Unfortunately for fans of The Rock, he won’t be at RAW tonight, as he’s currently in Brazil promoting his new movie, Fast Five.

    – Chris Jericho will continue on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars tonight. He wrote the following on Sunday:

“Had the best week of rehearsals w @cherylburke yet! Really stoked for tomorrows performance. In otherwords, it’s time for maximum DANSOSITY!”

  • Randy Orton’s First Movie Reviewed, Cena-WM28 & More

    – The Hollywood Reporter has posted a review of the latest WWE Studios film That’s What I Am, starring Ed Harris & Amy Madigan, and featuring Randy Orton in a supporting role. Regarding Orton’s big screen debut, THR wrote:

“The film was produced by WWE Studios, which explains the casting of third-generation wrestling personality Orton in a decent acting debut as Carl’s manipulative dad. That this meathead is such an able negotiator, even with someone as sharp as Madigan’s principal, stretches plausibility. Too often, Pavone’s screenplay slaps contemporary perspective onto characters whose behavior doesn’t seem entirely true to their time.”

    – John Cena wrote the following on Twitter over the weekend regarding his announced match against The Rock at next year’s WrestleMania:

“CeNation. This is a new year. From 26 to 27 wasn’t exactly a banner year. Which means it time to dominate the whole f+cking game. NEVER GIVE UP. Miz. Id watch yourself if I were you. It may not be tomorrow …but u will NOT defeat me again.”

    – WWE reached a milestone on Facebook this weekend – as the company’s official fan page has over 5 million “likes.” Less than 50 companies have that many fans “liking” them on Facebook.

5 million followers .. big friggin’ deal – we’ve got almost 5,000 fans on Facebook! If you are not already a fan of the SEScoops Facebook page, click here and join the SEScoops Facebook revolution!

Everythings been done before as far as ‘moves’ go in the sports entertainment. I want to thank SCSA for the ‘Thesz Press’.

And I know for a fact that SCSA got the ‘Thesz Press’ from Dutch Mantel.

Point being, instead of taking offense to someone using your move, consider it a sign of respect.

Btw does anyone know what Ken Shamrocks finish was? I believe Jack Swagger used ankle lock outta respect for Ken?

    — Marty Jannetty, who rose to fame as the tag team partner of Shawn Michaels, was asked if he would be attending his former colleague’s WWE Hall of Fame induction on Saturday in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • Randy Orton Says He Is Uncomfortable As A Babyface

WWE RAW superstar Randy Orton spoke with Kevin Eck of The Baltimore Sun week to hype Sunday’s WrestleMania pay-per-view. Here are some highlights of what Orton said about:

Is He Comfortable As a Babyface: “Absolutely not. I’m definitely growing as a good guy, as a babyface. I’ve got to walk a fine line, Kevin, because as a bad guy, as a heel, I go so comfortable in that role, I think I eventually earned the respect of the fans. And it wasn’t some master plan to become a good guy one day. I was dead set on being a heel the rest of my career. I figured there’s no way I’ll ever be a good guy. But the fans, they’re powerful, and when they speak together like they did, I started getting positive reactions. I’d be in the ring with a babyface as a heel, but they’d be chanting for me. It’s just one of those things where I just had to make the switch. But I think where I succeeded this time, where I failed back in’04 after I became the youngest champ in history and became babyface, I didn’t change too much. I think that’s very important. That respect I earned from the fans as a bad guy, I don’t want to lose that. And if all of a sudden I’m coming out and I’m trying to be like John Cena, that typical white meat babyface, kissing babies, hugging grandmas, slapping high-five swith everybody in the front row, that’s not going to work. If I come out pumping my fist and smiling, it’s going to make people want to barf. So I really had to walk that fine line and change, but just change enough to where it works for me and my character.”

How He Feels Not Being In One Of The top Matches At WrestleMania: “It’s a good question, but I believe in every Mania, every pay-per-view, Raw, Smackdown or live event I’m in, my goal – and I would hope that everyone else’s goal on the roster – would be to the steal the show, and the pressure is always there. Whether it’s a stage like WrestleMania or another pay-per-view or just TV or a live event, you’ve still got the same fans out there. The WWE Universe is watching and you’ve got to perform. You’ve got to live up to the expectations that you have laid out. Me and CM Punk, we’re not fighting for a title, but if you look back, we’ve got a three-year story line in the making. I cost him the WWE championship back in ’08 when I was returning from a collar bone injury just after the birth of my daughter. I remember it vividly. I punted him in the back of the head backstage on a day when he was champ and was going to defend the title at a pay-per-view. He wasn’t able to even perform in the match because I kicked him in the head, cost him the title. If I was him I would have done the same thing. He came back at the Rumble, cost me the title, but as far as I’m concerned, that made us even. Anything after that, I’m sorry, Phil Brooks, CM Punk. I’m going to destroy him April 3 at WrestleMania XXVII. That’s just how it’s going to go.”

Wrestlers Having Tour Buses & How It Helps Their Marriages: “A lot of guys actually don’t travel by tour bus ; there’s five of us. I think to be able to be at a point in your career where you’ve earned it and you can afford it, I think anyone would be stupid not to do it. What the tour bus does for me – my family coming with me, that’s just the cherry on top – I don’t have to travel 200 and 300 miles a night driving till 3 or 4 a.m. looking for that Denny’s that’s open or that drive-thru at McDonald’s and getting a couple chicken sandwiches and taking the bun off and shoving it down my throat. I got a kitchen, king-size bed, a couple TVs, a washer and dryer, a shower, a bathroom, deep sinks – I’m set. I can travel anywhere around the country, and I can get flat after a match. I think the biggest thing when it comes to injuries and stuff, travel has a big part in that. Because after a match, guys hit the road and they’re in a sitting position. They’re not able to ice up or do whatever they have to do therapy-wise. Being in a car driving like that, it’s just not good on your back, and our backs take a lot of abuse with all the bumps we take in the ring. Our body in general takes a hell of a beating, and that bus allows me to recover – that’s the biggest thing right there. It’s worth every penny because I’m able to recover more than I would in a rental car. Waiting in lines, looking for hotels, reserving rental cars, just plugging in an address into your GPS and hoping that address eventually leads you to a gym and not some middle of the subdivision where the address was wrong. There are lots of things that go into that bus that make it worth its weight in gold, but the No. 1 thing for me is the recovery time that I get having the bus that I didn’t have in the rental cars.”

  • Orton Says Cena Will ‘Own’ The Rock, Discusses Babyface Role

Randy Orton participated in an interview with ESPN.com to promote THQ’s WWE All-Stars video game, which is hits stores next Tuesday on multiple gaming platforms. Highlights are as follows:

His match at WrestleMania XXVII with CM Punk: “I think really the character that Punk has become and the promo that he’s able to cut about having faith and being the leader of the New Nexus and taking advantage of his followers and the way he preaches and talks down to the fans, all of that is Heel 101. That’s the stuff that makes fans not like you.

If his goal is to “steal the show” at WrestleMania XXVII: “There is a lot of star power. Then there is the Triple H vs. Undertaker match with the 18-match streak on the line. There are a lot of things that are intriguing about WrestleMania 27, but I’m hoping when everything is over, people are talking about Randy Orton’s victory over C.M. Punk and the battle that we had.”

The Undertaker vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania XXVII: “I hate to say the obvious, but I think Triple H vs. The “Undertaker is going to be very interesting. The only thing that they don’t have going for them is the amount of time both guys have been outside of the ring the last year.

“But if there’s anyone who has been around and knows what they’re doing, nobody knows better than The Undertaker. And I think no matter what happens, this is going to be one of the most anticipated matches on the pay-per-view.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s return to WWE thus far and what people can expect when they face off this Monday on Raw: “I know them both and I know Cena a lot better than I know The Rock, obviously, but I’ve been in the ring with both cutting promos and wrestling. I have to say, though, talking about the whole ring rust thing, John Cena has had about 2,000 matches in the last seven years. The Rock? A big, fat zero. So when it comes to ring rust, I don’t care what type of athlete you are, and The Rock is obviously an athletic dude, but Cena has been in the ring. He’s been at every show and in every show and making appearances and he has been on the road with the WWE over 300 days a year for the last seven years. The Rock? Virtually nonexistent.

“You see the interviews that The Rock does and he says that he doesn’t want to be known as a wrestler. He doesn’t want to be known as a sports entertainer or a performer with WWE or a WWE superstar. He wants to be known as an actor. Now all of a sudden he’s back in our world telling the fans what they want to hear. He’s telling them, “I promise that I will never go away again. I promise that I’m back for good and that I’m here to stay.” He said that, what, six or seven weeks ago? Have we even seen him live since then? No. Via satellite. I think Cena will own The Rock. I think Cena is wittier and can go off the cuff. Cena writes his own stuff, while The Rock has stuff written for him.

“It just all comes down to who you are in the ring and what kind of performer you are in the ring, and I think Cena is 10 times the performer in the ring that The Rock is. This Monday in Chicago, he’ll prove it.”

The interview can be read here.

The official movie poster has been released for the upcoming WWE Studios film, That’s What I Am, co-starring Randy Orton.

Here’s the movie synopsis from IMDB.com:

A coming-of-age story that follows 12-year-old Andy Nichol (Chase Ellison), a bright student who, like most kids his age, will do anything to avoid conflict for fear of suffering overwhelming ridicule and punishment from his junior high school peers. Everyone’s favorite teacher, Mr. Simon (Ed Harris), pairs Andy with the school’s biggest outcast and social pariah, Stanley, aka “Big G” (Alexander Walters) on a critical term project. Sporting thick orange hair, a head too big for his body and ears too big for his head, “Big G” has been the object of ridicule since grade school.

Before long, Andy will learn that there was truly a method behind Mr. Simon’s madness as to why he teamed these two up. As the story unfolds, Mr. Simon finds himself the target of a malicious rumor after Principal Kelner (Amy Madigan) suspends a school bully for brutally beating up a female classmate who he thinks has “cooties.” When Andy watches “Big G” fearlessly confront the school bully, a series of events are triggered, which change the lives of both young men – and their teacher – forever.

Much to Andy’s surprise “Big G” is brilliant, kind, tolerant and a decent human being, who has more dignity than anyone Andy has ever encountered.

    Here’s the poster:

  • Nash Comments On Rock’s Return, Help Randy Orton

Here’s the surveillance picture taken by Randy Orton’s home security system:

  • Riley Eliminated Early During Rumble Match, Nash/Big Show Note

    — There was some confusion surrounding Alex Riley and his elimination during the Royal Rumble last night because he was not supposed to go out when he did. He was supposed to hang on to the ring ropes when he was thrown over. This explains why the announcers were asking about him after he had been eliminated. They didn’t call his elimination.

    — As Kevin Nash was getting up from the ground following his elimination from the Royal Rumble, a referee told him something. He then stared down Big Show as he was exiting the arena. It’s thought that this may have been a backstage audible due to the crowd’s receptive reaction to him and WWE planning something for him going forward.

    — The song used during the video promoting Randy Orton’s match against The Miz at the Royal Rumble is “Machine Gun Blues” by Social Distortion.
