Renee Paquette Frustrated With Jon Moxley’s Green Bubbles, Says He Doesn’t Trust Apple

Renee Paquette loves her husband Jon Moxley very much but there is one habit of him which frustrates the AEW personality very much.

The female star recently had an interview with Busted Open Radio. She talked about things such as managing her own work in AEW with the work of Mox and more.

When the topic of technology was brought up, Paquette joked that she lives in a divided home because Moxley refuses to switch over to an iPhone

“I live in a house divided where I’m an iPhone [while] my husband is an Android user, and this green text…it just causes me a lot of pain and anguish. But there’s no changing him. The man is set in his ways. It is what it is. So I can never leave him a proper voice memo. If I’m on a plane I cannot communicate with him. It’s very frustrating.”

He Wants Nothing To Do With The Cloud: Renee Paquette

The hosts mentioned that many people take the green bubble vs blue bubble difference very seriously and couples have even broken up over it. Renee then said that she doesn’t generally care about it but it does get frustrating when she can’t get hold of her husband in a WiFi only situation:

“People are very unhinged about this and while of course there are times…Listen my love for this man, what a bright light but it just gets dimmed a little when the green texts come in or it’s not even the green text, I don’t really care about that.

it’s not being able to get a hold of you if I’m in a WiFi only situation. That’s the problem. This is the father of my child. Sometimes I need to talk to him. I’m not just talking to him to ask how the day is. Sometimes I need information and I can’t get it.”

When asked if she has tried to convince Mox to switch over, Renee Paquette revealed that the AEW World Champion does not trust the cloud system:

“He wants nothing to do with the cloud. He’s not interested. He doesn’t trust it. I think he thinks something shifty is up with Apple and their products. So he’s not interested but I also think that he comes from an entire family of green texters so….it’s an inherited thing.

It’s very stressful. What if I had to tell him something? I’ve had to email him. I have to email my husband sometimes like ‘From the desk of Renee Paquette.’ What the f*ck?”

Jon Moxley will be defending the AEW title against Orange Cassidy at Saturday’s Full Gear PPV. You can check out the updated match card for the show here.

Renee Paquette On Managing Her AEW Role With Jon Moxley’s Work

Renee Paquette says she steers clear of Jon Moxley’s path when the couple goes to work for AEW.

Mox has been leading a new Death Rider faction in AEW. After taking Bryan Danielson out with a brutal attack and taking the AEW World Title from him, the wrestling veteran has declared war on AEW roster. His aim is to rid the company of its problems.

Jon’s new mission puts Renee in an awkward position as she is generally on good terms with the AEW roster. Most of the people who have been resisting the Moxley takeover are good friends of the AEW announcer.

The female star addressed the conflict during a recent interview with Busted Open Radio. She claimed that she tries to stay away from Mox’s business as much as possible:

“I don’t know, I kind of just steer clear. The truth of it is, when Jon and I go to work, we’ve always been like this, he does his job, I do my job. We’ve always been like that. I honestly don’t even see him most of the day. He’s off doing his thing, I’m doing mine.”

My Job Is Different: Renee Paquette

Renee Paquette claimed that she respects the work of her husband and it helps her understand the business better. She also loves watching Jon’s work but sticks to her own job when they’re in the arena for any show:

“I immensely respect what he does and I think that’s another level that helps me understand more of the wrestling business and always has is my relationship with him obviously.

I love watching him do what he does. But my job is different and I also really love what I get to bring to the table. So I just kind of stick to my job, I let him do his and then we reconvene at the end of the night.”

Jon Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Title against Orange Cassidy at this Saturday’s Full Gear PPV. Renee is also expected to be a part of the show. You can check out an updated match card for the event here.

Renée Paquette Praises Mercedes Moné for Pursuing Free Agency

All Elite Wrestling broadcaster Renée Paquette is proud that Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) decided to bet on herself and become a free agent.

Moné began working as an independent wrestler after ending her decade-long run with WWE at the end of 2022. She made her debut with New Japan Pro Wrestling earlier this month at Wrestle Kingdom 17, where she confronted and attacked KAIRI to set up their upcoming IWGP Women’s Championship match at NJPW Battle in the Valley on Feb. 18.

As Moné navigates the waters of free agency, Paquette expresses admiration for her bold career choice. Having left WWE herself, Paquette understands what it’s like to work outside the company. On the latest edition of her The Sessions podcast, Paquette and co-host Emilio Sparks recapped Moné’s WWE departure and NJPW debut.

“…For me, having worked with her at such an early time, met her in NXT, watched her rise through WWE, watched those ups and those downs, those times of kind of stepping out, after Wrestlemania, after losing the tag titles, having that moment, kind of leaving for a little while, spending some time in Japan,” said Paquette. “I believe she spent some time in Mexico. To seeing what she has done now from whatever exactly happened on her and Trinity(also known as Naomi in WWE) walking out from WWE, I really applaud the balls of this women.

Why Moné Deserves Praise for Becoming A Free Agent

Renee Paquette and Mercedes Mone

Paquette added that she believes Moné is a free agent because of her passion for women’s wrestling. She explained, “…It’s not easy. I know a lot of people if you want to watch from the outside and be like, ‘yeah, you know what, it’s good. Leave that company. Go do whatever.’ It’s not fu*cking easy to walk away from making a good amount of money.” Paquette did acknowledge that she doesn’t know what Moné WWE contract was, but believes she made a good salary based on her position with the company.

Paquette praised Moné for believing in herself and choosing her passion for wrestling over the comfort of staying with WWE. She also added that she has requested an interview with her and hopes to speak with her about leaving her former employer.

Moné choice to leave WWE seems to be a success as fans look forward to what she does next. After the announcement of her match at NJPW Battle in the Valley, tickets for the event have sold out. It’s unclear what Moné has planned for the future of her wrestling career. However, it is possible that Moné could become a giant star outside of WWE as a free agent.

Former WWE Superstar Loses Bet to Renee Paquette

It’s no secret that Renee Paquette is a big Cincinnati Bengals fan. In fact, she has a YouTube series with the team called Renee All Dey.

Last week, she made a deal with a former WWE Superstar who happens to be a big Kansas City Chiefs fan. Since the two teams were facing off yesterday, the two made a fun bet.

Mojo Rawley’s wager was that if the Chiefs won, Paquette would have to dress up as him and act like him on her podcast. If the Bengals won, Rawley would have to wear a hot dog costume on her show.

The Brodough app sponsored their bet. With the app, you can create bets with others while raising money for charity. Fans could get involved with this bet by using donation links and whomever raised the most money wins the challenge and the proceeds go to the winner’s charity. Rawley’s charity of choice was Mental Health America, while Paquette chose the SPCA of Cincinnati.

In the end, the Bengals held on in a thrilling victory with a final of 27-24. Paquette quickly took to Instagram to celebrate via her Instastory. She also posted a reel highlighting her day.

No date has been set for when Rawley has to pay up.

Renee Paquette Confirms She Had Talks With WWE Before Signing With AEW

AEW announced last month that Renee Paquette had signed with the promotion, and she made her promotional debut that night on Dynamite by welcoming the Toronto crowd to the show.

She is working as an interviewer for the company. This was her first wrestling project since departing from WWE at SummerSlam 2020.

While speaking to Vickie Guerrero on Excuse Me, Paquette confirmed reports that she had been talking to WWE before signing with the rival promotion.

Renee Paquette on her Talks With WWE

Renee Paquette AEW

“I had been talking to WWE, that had gotten leaked out before I debuted with AEW, I had been having conversations with WWE about all the things they have going on over there. The more I was thinking about it and figuring out what that looks like and what the future looks like, I was like, ‘No, I want to be in AEW.’ I want to be part of this company that is growing and developing.

I want to help. I want to help lend whatever knowledge I have in this space to make things good, I want to do a good job, I want to be on the road with my husband, that makes life easier. It was more so that and it was more conversations Jon and I were having. That was one of those first big moments, ‘We have to make a decision as a family.’ Not that I can’t do what I want, if that’s what I decided to do, it would have been fine, but you have family conversations about what makes the most sense for everyone,” she said.

Days before she joined the company, it was reported that WWE expected her to join AEW. Renee noted that she loves working for AEW and how things are handled backstage at AEW events.

Renee Paquette Praised by AEW Colleague: “One of Our Best Hires in a Long, Long time”

AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone wants to see AEW do more to utilize Renee Paquette.

Schiavone spoke about his new colleague on the latest episode of his What Happened When podcast. During an ‘Ask Tony Anything’ round of Q&A, Schiavone spoke very highly of Paquette. He’s thrilled to have her on board as part of the team. She is a polished performer, the consummate professional and is so good that she makes other peoples’ jobs easier.

Paquette debuted on the first-ever AEW Dynamite in Canada, over two years after departing WWE where she worked as Renee Young.

“She’s wonderful. She’s such a pro, she is so good on camera, at what she does and it prevents me from running backstage 100 times now, too. I’m just really, really thrilled about us having her, and hopefully we use her more.”

– Tony Schiavone on Renee Paquette

Paquette recently joined All Elite Wrestling nearly two years after leaving WWE. During that time, she became a mother, released a cook book and worked on several other projects outside of wrestling.

She performed several functions during her extended run with WWE. She conducted backstage interviews, hosted television and digital shows and was was the first full-time female announcer on Monday Night Raw for a short period of time.

On a recent episode of her own podcast, The Sessions, Paquette said she’s not really interested in calling matches in AEW, but did not rule that out entirely.

Capable broadcasters can make a huge difference on the overall product of a wrestling show. Paquette has only been with AEW for a few weeks, but Schiavone is already convinced she’s been an important addition to the team.

“She looks so great on camera,” he continued. “She’s so cool, one of our best hires in a long long time, she really is.”

WWE Talent On Renee Paquette Joining AEW: “Wish She Was Back With Us”

Renee Paquette made her debut last night for All Elite Wrestling and kicked off Dynamite.

She worked in WWE under the name “Renee Young” from 2012 – 2020. Renee served as a backstage interviewer, host (Talking Smack, WWE Backstage), and briefly as a commentator on RAW.

After departing WWE, Renee launched her podcast, “The Sessions” on Fox’s Colin Cowherd’s The Volume network. She also recently landed a new gig with the Cincinnati Bengals. Paquette hosts the series “Renee All Dey” for the organizations and interviews a different player every week.

Paquette got a pop from her hometown crowd in Toronto as she opened this week’s episode of Dynamite. She interviewed Christian Cage before the match between Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. Cage is also from the area but mocked the crowd as a heel during the interview.

Kayla Braxton Wishes Renee Paquette Was Still In WWE

Renee spoke about her debut in AEW on her podcast today and said she was happy to be back in the world of professional wresting.

“I’m so excited to be back in the world of professional wrestling.”

WWE personality Kayla Braxton responded to the news and said she wishes Renee was back with us (WWE). Kayla added that she is “super pumped” for Renee and congratulated her on everything she has going on.

Not gonna lie – wish she was back with us, but super pumped for this woman and all she’s got going on. Congrats @ReneePaquette you bad ass, you!

Renee’s husband, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, is set to defend the title against Hangman Adam Page on next week’s Dynamite. It will be a special Tuesday night edition of the show airing from Moxley’s hometown of Cincinnati in the Heritage Bank Center. Hangman Adam Page confronted the champion last night ahead of the title match next week.

Will Renee Paquette Commentate in AEW? No! Maybe…

Renee Paquette is confident she won’t commentate for AEW, but cannot fully rule out the idea.

Paquette made her debut for AEW on this week’s Dynamite, the first time the show has been held in Canada.

Hours before Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan had confirmed Paquette’s ‘All-Elite’ status with a tweet.

Commentary

Before coming to AEW, Paquette worked as an interviewer in WWE, before rising to the ranks of Raw commentator.

Paquette’s arrival at the desk in September 2018 made her the first female full-time WWE commentator but faced criticism from some fans.

In her first appearance on ‘The Sessions’ since her AEW status was confirmed, Paquette was asked if she’d commentate for AEW.

“No. I shouldn’t say no, but I also feel like anyone who just heard you [co-host Emilio Sparks] ask, probably had the same reaction. ‘No thanks, we don’t need that. We don’t want that.’ And that’s always how I felt about it… People had such a negative reaction to it, and it just wasn’t the thing that I wanted it to be.”

While Paquette isn’t interested in the role, she still could not fully rule out the idea of commentating.

“If the opportunity made sense and it was something that everyone was on the same page about, maybe, but I just don’t see that being what I want to do.”

Being All-Elite

Paquette’s AEW arrival comes over two years after leaving WWE, where she worked as Renee Young.

Speaking about signing with AEW, Paquette said that it was more-so her husband [AEW World Champion Jon Moxley] who made the first step.

“For as much as I’d been around a lot, I’d never really talked to Tony about coming into AEW. A lot of it, and this is probably going to sound bad, and I’m sure people are going to take this out of context. Honestly, a lot of it was talking to Jon. Of being like ‘man, I want to get back in the wrestling world. I miss being around it. I miss doing stuff.’ So most of our conversations were internally between Jon and I.

“Him [Moxley] and Tony are obviously very close. They spend tons of time talking about things, so I think it was more so them talking about it. I think a lot of people thought I was done with wrestling to a degree.”

When asked later on, Paquette said that once the discussions about her joining AEW started, it did not take long for a deal to be struck.

“It all happened really fast. It literally happened so fast. Jon and I had been talking about it, and then the next day, my manager is calling me being like ‘oh yeah, they’re reaching out. I’m getting the contract through.'”

Feeling Displaced

Paquette made her on-screen AEW debut this week, but it was hardly the first time she had been at an event.

Being married to Moxley, Paquete is said to have been a regular behind the scenes before signing.

Early into the podcast, she explained how while she enjoyed her time as a guest of AEW, she never felt quite right.

“It was always sort of an odd displaced sort of feeling anytime I went to shows with Jon. Because I’m always used to being at shows, but working and being useful and contributing. So being there for the duration of Jon being at AEW and not doing that… It’s just a different feeling going there as a guest as opposed to now.

Differences with WWE

Paquette is excited to work with AEW, and has done plenty over the past two years, but is well aware that her name was made as part of WWE.

AEW allows their talent more freedom in their work, something that Paquette is very excited for.

“This is going to be a very different situation with AEW. Because my time with WWE was very much ‘here’s the interview, here’s the script. This is what we’re going to do.’ That’s now how AEW operates, so that is exciting for me.

“Now I get to actually interview people, if that makes sense? I mean, I was reading scripts before and I enjoy doing that. But this is different, actually interviewing people about things.”

Not Taking Shots

Paquette is the latest WWE alum to be welcomed with open arms by Tony Khan, who has never shied away from taking digs at WWE.

Much like the company President, AEW talent aren’t opposed to jibes about the competition, something that Paquette wants no part of.

“People become very territorial about WWE vs. AEW and all that. I want nothing to do with any of that. I love so many people at both companies.WWE was so great to me for years. Of course, I could have my gripes about things, but who couldn’t about any job?”

Paquette’s first assignment took place on this week’s AEW Dynamite, interviewing fellow WWE veteran Christian Cage.

Renee Paquette is Officially All Elite

After some speculation that Renee Paquette was AEW-bound, it’s official. Paquette got the “All Elite” graphic when Tony Khan tweeted the news on Wednesday.

AEW Dynamite is making its live debut in Paquette’s hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada tonight.

WWE recently attempted to bring Paquette back with the shakeup of its announce teams. Paqeutte worked for WWE as Renee Young for eight years. She was a backstage interviewer and the first permanent woman on the RAW commentary team. She was also a co-host on WWE Backstage, which aired on FS1.

After leaving WWE, Paquette launched a podcast, Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette (now called The Sessions with Renee Paquette). She interviews a variety of guests from wrestling, MMA, and more.

In 2021, she released her first cookbook, Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously. Last June, she and husband, Jon Moxley, welcomed a daughter. Moxley just inked a 5-year contract extension.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced that Paquette will host a new series, Renee All Dey. The first episode is coming soon.

Renee Paquette to Sign with AEW

Renee Paquette – a popular and critically acclaimed interviewer and commentator with World Wrestling Entertainment for nearly a decade – is expected to sign with All-Elite Wrestling, according to several sources.

Paquette, who worked as Renee Young for WWE from 2012 to 2020 and was the first woman to announce an entire episode of WWE Raw, “could possibly debut … this week,” according to one source. Dynamite is in Toronto, Paquette’s home town.

AEW has been working to find women to fill some of its TV announcing roles since the company started in 2019. Paquette – who worked with The Score in Canada prior to joining WWE – is a veteran broadcaster with experience conducting interviews, commentating, and hosting pre and post-shows. She would be the company’s biggest announcing signing since Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone. AEW recently signed Saraya Jade Bevis, who is expected to bolster AEW’s women’s division and fill in on announcing duties.

Paquette left WWE in 2020. She began hosting her own podcast, The Sessions, in 2021 and video interviews on her own YouTube channel.

She interviewed several players for the Cincinnati Bengals YouTube channel and website prior to the start of the NFL season. The Bengals announced on Oct. 6 she would begin hosting her own show, Renee All-Dey for the team.

She released a cookbook in May 2021. She co-hosts Throwing Down with Renee and Miesha on Sirius XM with former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miehsa Tate.

Fightful reported WWE had reached out to Paquette about returning to the company recently, but believed she would begin working with AEW.

Paquette is married to Jon Moxley, AEW World Champion and company mainstay. AEW announced over the weekend it had signed Moxley to a 5-year contract which would include a role as a mentor/coach with the company. Moxley and AEW president Tony Khan were working on a handshake deal prior to the signing. Moxley and Paquette had their first child in June 2021. They live in the Cincinnati area.

Former WWE Talent Expected To Sign With All Elite Wrestling

Former WWE personality and commentator Renee Paquette (Renee Young) is expected to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, their sources within WWE are expecting Renee to sign with AEW. Give Me Sport’s Louis Dangoor had heard that WWE reached out to Renee about a possible return to the company but Fightful could not confirm if that was the case. Fightful also reached out to both AEW and Renee Paquette but didn’t receive confirmation that she’s signed with the company.

Renee Young exited WWE after SummerSlam 2020. She was a backstage interviewer, a commentator, and a host during her WWE career. Renee also joined the cast of Total Divas for season six and hosted WWE Backstage on Fox.

After leaving WWE, the 37-year-old launched The Sessions podcast on Fox sports broadcaster Colin Cowherd’s The Volume Network. The Cincinnati Bengals recently announced that they will be partnering with Paquette for a new series called Renée All Day. The series will feature Renee interviewing players from the team. She recently filmed footage for WWE at the Performance Center.

Renee’s husband, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, just signed a 5-year extension with All Elite Wrestling. His new contract will keep him with All Elite Wrestling until 2027 and has expanded his role in the company to include coaching.

Moxley will be defending the AEW World Championship against Hangman Page in Cincinnati on a special Tuesday night edition of Dynamite on October 18th.

Renee Paquette Set To Launch New Series With NFL Team

Former WWE personality Renee Paquette (Renee Young) has landed a new gig with an NFL football team.

The Cincinnati Bengals reached the Super Bowl last year but came up just short against the Rams. After a rocky 0-2 start, the Bengals have righted the ship and now sit at 2-2 on the season.

Today on Twitter, the Bengals have announced that Renee Paquette is working on a new show for them. The series will be called Renée All Dey and the first episode will be released soon.

Renee took to Twitter to say how excited she is to be working with the Bengals on the new series. Renee currently hosts The Sessions podcast on Colin Cowherd’s The Volume network.

So freaking psyched to join the @Bengals and have my own series with them! Renée All Dey coming soon!

Renee sat down with Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie a couple of weeks ago for an interview and the 37-year-old clearly made a positive impression on the organization.

Jon Moxley To Defend The Title In Cincinnati

Renee’s husband, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, is scheduled to have a huge match on the October 18th edition of Dynamite.

It will be a special Tuesday night episode of Dynamite live from the Heritage Bank Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jon is from Cincinnati and the married couple resides there. The AEW World Champion recently attended the wedding between Corey Graves and Carmella sporting a Bengals shirt and a fanny pack.

On last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Hangman Adam Page defeated Rush in a singles match. After the bout, Private Party made their way to the ring and it appeared like they were going to attack Hangman. Jon Moxley arrived through the crowd and Private Party retreated.

The champion paced around Hangman Page before taking a shot at him. Moxley said “you’re a sweet kid, but like a lot of kids around here you say stupid sh** that gets you in trouble. I’m going to let you off the hook this once, but this is your final warning. You’ve got 13 days, you watch your damn mouth.”

Later in the promo, Moxley vowed to prove that he’s the one true top guy in AEW and is the “best in the world” in 13 days on Dynamite.

I’m going to walk down Vine Street and show up at Heritage Bank Center, and I’m going to break your face. I’m going to choke you until you turn blue because you’re in the way of me being the one true top guy here in AEW, and the World Champion, and the best in the world.

Renee Paquette in Orlando for WWE Project (Video)

Makeup artist Lina Zunigao noted on Instagram that she did makeup for Renee Paquette, formerly known as Renee Young, while in Orlando.

She noted that Paquette is there for WWE, indicating Paquette is filming something today at the WWE Performance Center. Zunigao posted the following on her Instagram account:

Renee Paquette’s Time In WWE

After working for Canada’s Score Television Network, Paquette started working for WWE in 2012. Throughout her time with the company, she worked in various roles, including pre-show host, interviewer, and color commentator.

She hosted WWE Backstage on FS1, was a cast member for a season on Total Divas, and had her own WWE Network series, Unfiltered with Renee Young.

Young was the first woman to become a full-time announcer for Monday Night Raw in August 2018 before moving to SmackDown as a “special contributor” in October 2019.

While away from WWE, Paquette has stayed busy by being a mother to her first child with Jon Moxley and hosting her Sessions podcast. She also co-hosts a show on Sirius XM Fight Nation Channel 156 with UFC fighter Miesha Tate titled “Throwing Down with Renee & Miesha.”

Renee Paquette says AEW Needs to Spread Out which Female Wrestlers they Push

Renee Paquette has said that AEW needs to “spread some of that love” among the women’s division following Double or Nothing 2022.

At the event, Dr. Britt Baker won the first Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, defeating Ruby Soho in the finals.

After the match, Baker was presented with a championship by Owen’s widow Dr. Martha Hart.

Many have criticized AEW’s decision to have Baker win, saying that the former AEW Women’s World Champion (who has the second-longest reign with the title) didn’t need the win.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Sessions, Paquette named some other stars who would benefit from AEW’s focus other than Baker.

“When Toni Storm didn’t go over Britt on their way to the tournament, and then to have Ruby also lose, it would be nice to have one of those women in that spot. Like I’m saying, Britt is f***ing great, there’s no denying that. I think she’s fantastic, I think she is head and shoulders at the top of that division, but to spread some of that love around as they’re bulking up that division, these women are stars. Toni Storm is a star, Ruby Soho is a star… she’s amazing. Kris Stantlander is on her way up as well.”

Soho and Storm teamed up to defeat Baker and Jamie Hayter on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Renee Paquette Wishes Jon Moxley Would Stop Licking Opponents’ Blood

Renee Paquette really wishes her husband Jon Moxley would stop licking opponents’ blood during matches.

Paquette recently took to her podcast, “The Sessions,” and talked about her husband’s tendency to lick the blood of his opponents during their matches. This was in response to being asked what she’d like for Moxley to stop doing in the ring the most.

The former WWE broadcaster explained she doesn’t think the spot is necessary.

“Licking people’s blood. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I don’t get it. I hate it. That definitely ranks really, really high for me. Anytime he does it, I’m like, why?

“What is happening? Why are you doing this? I don’t think it’s necessary. That would be number one for me. I hate it.

“I also don’t like slap spots, like a slap to the head I could do without. I actually don’t like spots with chairs either.”

In a follow up question, Paquette was asked if she gets turned off to kiss Moxley later after a match in which he has licked an opponent’s blood. But Paquette doesn’t pay it too much attention in that regard.

“I actually don’t think about that at all. You would think I would think that, but at that point, I’m like, eh, some time has passed. I don’t really think about it. I worry more about the long term effects.

Moxley’s next big match will take place for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view (PPV).

He’ll team up with Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz, and Daniel Bryan to take on The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, Daniel Garcia, and Jake Hager) in a Anarchy in the Arena match.

Renee Paquette On The Treatment Of Women’s Tag Team Titles In WWE

The situation with Sasha Banks and Naomi has started the debate on the place of the women’s tag team titles in WWE. Renee Paquette believes that the championship has never been important ever since it was introduced three years ago.

The former WWE star revealed her thoughts on the whole situation on Throwing down podcast. She first discussed how plans change all the time when it comes to Raw.

Speaking about the women’s tag team titles, Renee mentioned how they have never been important. She said there has never really been a true women’s tag team in WWE:

“The women’s tag titles have only existed in WWE for a couple of years and as soon as they were brought in to the fold, they were important for about 30 seconds, and then nobody cared anymore.

There was no true women’s tag teams and they just lost their luster really really quickly.” said Renee Paquette, “I guess, best case is that they finally let these women do what they want to do and start really working on the tag division.”

The female star also talked about the future of Sasha Banks. She discussed the possibility of her going to AEW and said that the women’s roster there could use some more star power.

Though later Paquette recalled how Sasha Banks worked with Meiko Satomura in Japan the last time she took a hiatus from WWE. She said that she wouldn’t be surprised to see Banks making a similar move.

Renee Paquette Unsure If She’ll Return To Wrestling

Renee Paquette doesn’t know if her future will involve a return to the wrestling business.

Paquette had served as a host for WWE beginning in 2012. She made history by becoming the first female regular on commentary for Monday Night Raw. Paquette ended her WWE run in 2020.

Renee Paquette Talks Future

Reports surfaced throughout Renee Paquette’s run that there was interest in her from major sports networks such as ESPN. Many believed it would only be a matter of time before she was out of the industry for good.

Post-WWE, Paquette works with the NHL Network and SiriusXM. During an interview with SportsKeeda.com, Paquette admitted that she misses the wrestling industry.

“So, I’ve been really busy, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not open to the opportunity of working with another wrestling company. It just depends on what the situation was, who it was; you know, I love wrestling. It’s one of those things that I always want to be around in; I miss it. I really do miss it. I get to go to the shows with Jon sometimes, and it really makes me miss it. Just like being around the ring and being around all the wrestlers, it definitely kind of strikes that chord with me.”

She went on to say that a return to the business isn’t a lock, however.

“I honestly don’t know. I feel like that is a question that came up (return to wrestling); you know, I’ve been gone from the WWE for about a year and a half now. In that time, you know, I’ve had a baby, I’ve moved. There is so much going on that I’m busy with the podcast. I’ve got a Sirius XM show as well, working with the NHL network.”

Renee Paquette Responds to Bully Ray Comments About Jon Moxley

Renee Paquette has shared her thoughts on SiriusXM co-worker Bully Ray’s comments about her husband, Jon Moxley.

On Throwing Down with her co-host Miesha Tate, Paquette recapped Moxley’s All Elite Wrestling return at AEW Dynamite last week. She shared that she got emotional watching him talk about his absence and how proud she is of her husband. Moxley took three months off from wrestling to attend a rehabilitation program for alcohol abuse.

After praising her husband, Paquette responded to Ray’s critique about her husband’s return and that he believes that Moxley should’ve apologized to fans for taking time off. She didn’t want to address Ray’s comments, but she felt that Ray crossed the line talking about her husband.

“…The Bully Ray thing, I saw it all over my Twitter, and I was like, do I even address this? But it’s like that thing. People can talk sh*t about me all day long, whatever it’s fine. You talk sh*t about my husband. You talk sh*t about my family that becomes more personal for me,” said Paquette.

She said it also bothered her because she had a good relationship with Ray. Moxley appeared at Northeast Wrestling Wrestlefest 26 on January 22nd, which Ray also attended. However, it’s unclear if they have spoken to each other.

More on Paquette Response to Bully Ray Comments

Ray comment’s about Moxley, which bothered both wrestlers and fans. His SiriusXM Busted Open show co-worker Mark Henry also criticized Ray’s remarks about Moxley. While Ray has yet to apologize, Paquette is not expecting one. She also addressed Moxley’s decision to deal with his issues and that the wrestling business has a troubled history with wrestlers that suffered or died from addiction issues.

“…He wanted Jon to apologize to the fans, and it’s like yeah, he took time off to take care of himself. Him being there and having longevity in this business is plenty. The guy’s already put his body through the wringer with the job that he does,” said Paquette. She continued, “…Three months is also nothing in the scope of what wrestling is and also the scope of his life. Three months is nothing. So for him to go and do the things that he needed to do for himself, for our family, for our daughter, that’s for us. That’s for us, that’s not for anybody else, and I can not be more proud of him for doing that.”

“In a business that is so notorious with addiction issues, we’ve seen the untimely passing of so many wrestlers. It has been a thing that has affected the business for such a long time. It’s a stigma that comes with the business, so the fact that Jon is one of those guys in the spot that he is in, and he’s going against the grain and doing the things that he needs to do, I think, speaks volumes to the fans,” said Paquette.

Paquette made it clear that this is not an angle or a storyline. She also shared that Moxley wasn’t aware of Ray’s comments until she told him.

Renee Paquette Baffled By William Regal’s WWE Release

Renee Paquette can’t believe that WWE has cut ties with William Regal.

On Jan. 5, Regal was among the list of NXT names who were released by the company. Regal joined the likes of Road Dogg, Scott Armstrong, and others. The following day, Samoa Joe was released.

Renee Paquette Reacts To WWE Cutting William Regal

Renee Paquette was a guest on an episode of Busted Open Radio. During the show, she expressed her disbelief at the fact that WWE has let go of Regal.

“I just can’t get over the fact that William Regal has been let go by WWE. It just kills me. I just can’t wrap my head around what the thought process was of not having William Regal be a part of any wrestling promotion.

“When you think of the respect that comes from William Regal you think of the history and the knowledge. Just all of the things that sum up William Regal as a wrestler, as a mentor, on the creative side, even having him in a GM position.

“He just brings so much to the table. You keep hearing about these releases and you see different names pop up. Samoa Joe is just another one that you’re like, ‘What is happening over here?’

“It’s upsetting, it’s really upsetting and it bums me out. I know William Regal will I’m sure land somewhere happily and be able to put his services to good use somewhere and I can’t wait to see what that is.

“Maybe he doesn’t, maybe he just wants to hang out. I don’t know what William Regal’s gonna do but I think someone that was just one of the cornerstones of NXT — maybe part of what’s happened here is looking at what those cornerstones are of what has been NXT as we move forward on NXT 2.0.”

Regal seemingly already has at least one other promotion that is interested in his services. Tommy Dreamer, who works behind the scenes with Impact Wrestling, said the door is open for Regal.

Renee Paquette Details Her Epic Wedding To Jon Moxley

Jon Moxley is one of the people who lives and breathes wrestling. His wrestling gimmick is just an extension of his real-life self. This point is only proved further by the story of his marriage. Mox’s wife Renee Paquette welcomed the duo of Killer Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux on the most recent episode of her Oral Sessions podcast.

Scarlett first told the story of her engagement to Killer Kross in September this year. She recalled how both of them were having a bad day and there were no friends around. But Kross explained that together they could turn even the bad days into something special.

Naturally, the topic of their marriage was brought up and Renee asked about their preparation for it. Bordeaux revealed that they haven’t finalized anything but claimed that she would like to elope:

“I was on the road most of this month. I got to try on a couple dresses. I haven’t thought anything yet but I think I’d really like to elope. I want to go somewhere where there’s mountains. I was looking at Montana. I really just want close friends and family there because we’re talking about it and I’m like, ‘I don’t think a 100-person wedding or more people is for me. A lot of these people we might not even see in 10 years.’

I feel like I want [it] to be for us. I want to be surrounded by people who care about us. I just want to do it somewhere beautiful and have really good food. When we plan [it] it’s going to be maybe two or three weeks ahead. We’re just gonna call up our people and be like, ‘Alright, get on the flight. we’re going.'”

In response, Renee Paquette told the story of her own marriage to Jon Moxley. The couple got married in an impromptu ceremony. It took place in the early hours of April 9, 2017, at their home in Las Vegas. They had hired a 24-hour pastor from yelp. Paquette revealed that they spent a total of $500 on the marriage:

“That’s the way to do it I feel. You spent so much money trying to cater things and get people somewhere and booking a venue and blah blah blah. It’s like you really just want it to be you guys. You want it to be nice and simple.

Jon and I got married for $500 which included the tip and that was it. We called it a day. I happen to have a white dress hanging in my closet. Same thing we were like, we had a weird bad day. I went up to bed and a bit of a mood. He comes storming up after me. [He was like] ‘We’re gonna get married right now.’ [I was like] ‘Okay, shit, here we go.'”

“Hangman” Adam Page Once Suffered From Crippling Social Anxiety

While it may be hard to believe today when one sees “Hangman” Adam Page on national television as the AEW World Champion, the popular superstar once suffered from severe social anxiety.

Page spoke about becoming AEW champion, his brief reign atop the promotion so far, and his early life struggles with anxiety during a recent appearance on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette.

“I’m not a conversationalist, I don’t know,” Page began. “Anxious maybe, and maybe like… This is a story I’ve never told. In — I don’t even know if middle school, maybe high school age — I had super, super bad social anxiety, like diagnosed, medication social anxiety.

“But like, I can remember one time sitting at my desk, right, this was like, in the middle of taking a test or something and I could remember my whole body would like, turn flush red. I would start sweating, then I would become aware for, God knows what reason, like no one’s looking at me, this is happening to my body. So then, you know it gets like 10 times worse, what’s going on? Like, my eyes start watering, like I’m just sitting at my desk.”

The man who has been nicknamed the “Anxious Millenial Cowboy” went on to discuss how pro wrestling has helped him with his anxiety.

“I think wrestling helped me get out of that to an extent because, not that like, not that I had like low self-worth or anything like that,” Page explained. “But, like, wrestling was always my passion and where I felt comfortable, and what I like doing. Once I was able to do that and see some success in it, being surrounded by like 20 people to 200 people to 2,000 people, 20,000, like, as that grew, I think you get more comfortable with that and yourself.”

“I think wrestling helped me get out of that.”

Page also discussed his rise in AEW since the company launched in 2019.

“I wouldn’t even talk about, at least, my journey to the AEW World Championship as some kind of ‘grand scheme’ that was hatched on day one or something like that, because it never was,” Page said. “At least to me, it was never that way. When AEW started, and I, you know, realized I was going to be suddenly, like, I was just the guy, like, losing all the Bullet Club multi-man matches. I was, you know, not to say a nobody, but I certainly wasn’t like ‘the main event guy’ who was suddenly going to be main-eventing the first-ever title match in AEW.

“I knew people wouldn’t buy it and it didn’t matter what I said, it didn’t matter what I did in the time between. It was too fast. It was too soon. I knew people might, they would be forgiving, they would go ‘oh yeah, okay okay,’ but I knew deep down they wouldn’t buy it. It felt like I got off on the wrong foot and I wanted to rectify that, and I felt like the only way you (Hangman) can is to be vulnerable and to, you know what I mean, let that loss and disappointment come out.”

Renee Paquette Grateful For Support Shown For Jon Moxley

Renee Paquette is appreciative of the amount of support shown for her husband Jon Moxley.

Moxley is a major star for AEW. He’s been in a prominent position ever since leaving WWE in favor of Tony Khan’s promotion. He even captured the AEW World Heavyweight Championship and held it for 277 days.

Renee Paquette On Support For MOX

Tony Khan has revealed that Moxley will be entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program. Khan noted that it was Moxley who requested that this bit of news be made public.

Fans and those who work in the wrestling industry have showered “MOX” with support. Renee Paquette has let the supporters know that they are appreciated.

“Thanks for this outpouring of support. Jon is every bit of the badass we all know him to be. I couldn’t be more proud of him for getting to proper help he needs, and being given the space to put his health first. Couldn’t possibly love this man more.”

Jon Moxley had been participating in the AEW World Heavyweight Title Eliminator tournament. He made it to the semifinals where he was expected to take on Orange Cassidy. While nothing has been announced, one would imagine that Moxley will exit the tournament and miss Full Gear on Nov. 13.

Moxley is fresh off releasing his new autobiography, “MOX.” He had a book tour planned but once again, that is in doubt given the circumstances.

SEScoops will keep you posted on the latest updates regarding Jon Moxley but for now, we wish him all the best.

Renee Paquette Says She Asked For Her WWE Release 5 Years Ago

Renee Paquette left WWE after an 8-year-long stint with the company in 2020. She played a lot of roles before her departure. Though this run could have been a lot shorter had the officials granted her first release request.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with Ariel Helwani. She discussed things such as the covid-19 pandemic, her pre-WWE career, and more.

During the interview, Paquette revealed that she actually asked for her release from the promotion about 5 years ago. Though she is glad that she wasn’t given the orders:

“About five years ago, I asked for my release from WWE and I wasn’t granted it. It was before I did commentary and other things.

I’m glad I didn’t leave at that point and that I wasn’t granted my release” said Renee Paquette, “because my resume wouldn’t be what it is today if I had left.”

Explaining why she wanted to leave at the time, the female star said that she felt like she kept hitting the wall. The former Raw commentator kept being told that she cannot be a star in WWE because she wasn’t a wrestler.

Apart from this, Renee Paquette also talked about her post WWE career. She revealed whether she has had any talks with Tony Khan about potentially joining AEW.

Renee Paquette Hasn’t Talked With AEW, But She’s Open To It

While Renee Paquette is open to joining the AEW roster one day, she doesn’t have any immediate plans for it. According to her, she hasn’t talked to president Tony Khan about the possibility.

The former WWE star recently spoke to Ariel Helwani. She discussed things such as her decision to leave WWE, how she feels watching Jon Moxley in the ring, and more.

She was then asked the question everyone has in mind about a potential AEW signing, now that her WWE non-compete is up. Paquette was asked if she has had any talks with Khan, to which she replied negatively:

“No, I’ve never talked to Tony Khan about it, ever. It’s never come up, I’m sure there could be a million different things that I could do there. I’m certainly open to the opportunity.”

Paquette discussed how a lot of her friends are in AEW. She said that maybe one day the other shoe will drop and she will join the company. Though she isn’t sure when that might happen.

Sh also recently revealed her thoughts on The Undertaker’s appearance in Saudi Arabia earlier in the week. She explained why she wasn’t a fan of the dead man breaking his character to introduce Pitbull during a concert.

Renee Paquette Wasn’t Fan Of Undertaker Introducing Pitbull In Saudi Arabia

The Undertaker made a surprise appearance in Saudi Arabia ahead of Crown Jewel to introduce Pitbull during his concert. Renee Paquette was not amused with this act from the dead man. The former WWE star made an appearance on Busted Open Radio. She explained that it should have been someone else introducing the rap star:

“I just feel it should’ve been somebody else introducing him, I feel like seeing the Undertaker, in the big black hat, in full Undertaker gear, introducing ‘the 305, the Grammy Award Winning artist.’ Bringing on Pitbull that way, I feel it could’ve been somebody else.”

The female star said that she is not sure who was in the crew headed to Saudi Arabia for the WWE event. Though she suggested someone like the New Day would have been a better fit to introduce Pitbull on the show.

Renee Paquette Doesn’t Want To Be On Level Of Undertaker

Renee Paquette
Renee Paquette

Discussing why she doesn’t like The Undertaker making such appearances, Renee Paquette said that we have already lost some of the mystique surrounding his character with his multiple retirements. She then mentioned how some fans want to see the other side of the character, but she wants things to be protected:

“I do understand the social media side of things and having the documentaries and being able to see little glimpses into these superstar’s real lives and whatnot. I get the lure of that. But let’s protect things a little bit.

That’s what the business is about, right? Protecting these things, keeping these characters larger than life. I don’t want the Undertaker to be on the same level as me. He’s the Undertaker. He’s much better and cooler than me.”

Paquette also explained that we all have goldfish brains. We can forget some things to be able to remember The Undertaker in his character. However such appearances make it hard to forget the reality. She said that she could get on board with Taker introducing someone like Megadeath, Slayer or Metallica but she doesn’t want to believe that he knows Pitbull.
