We now know a bit more about Renee Young’s RAW commentary future.
Young made history earlier this week on Monday Night RAW. She was the first woman in WWE history to join the red brand’s commentary table for the whole show. The 32-year-old is also one-half of the commentators for this year’s Mae Young Classic tournament.
She has previous experience calling episodes of WWE Superstars and NXT in the past. Young held her own alongside veteran commentators Michael Cole and Corey Graves. In fact, some fans on social media actually said they preferred Young over Jonathan Coachman.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that there are currently no plans to have Young become a regular member of the RAW commentary team. She did, however, impress WWE brass with her performance.
Young also reportedly expressed interest in doing more commentary in the future if the opportunity arises. It will be interesting to see what becomes of Young’s commentary future in the WWE after her RAW performance.
Discussion: How do you feel Young did commentating RAW this week? Would you like to see her as a regular member of the RAW or SmackDown Live broadcast team? Sound off on the matter in the comments below!
Renee Young made history on Monday night by becoming the first woman to do commentary for a full episode of RAW.
WWE cameras caught up with Renee backstage after the show to discuss her big night. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is known for being a very hands-on producer of his commentators. Former announcers such as Mick Foley, JBL and Taz have spoken about Vince being “in their ear” throughout broadcasts. Renee revealed that Vince actually gave her a lot of freedom, but did provide one piece of advice in her headset.
“Yeah, [Vince] told me to slow down on a couple spots but that was it,” she said. “And, geez, if that’s the only note that I get from him tonight, hallelujah, I’ll take it.”
Renee joked that Vince was ‘kind of letting her get away with’ a few things on the mic.
In addition to her Raw commentary debut, it was also a big night for Renee due to her husband Dean Ambrose’s return to WWE. Renee said she had goosebumps for Ambrose’s return, because she knows first-hand what he went through during his recovery.
“Seeing his recovery and all of the obstacles he had to go through to get back in the ring, I had goosebumps the entire time,” she said. “It was so exciting.”
Watch Renee Young talk about her WWE RAW commentary debut:
Renee Young will be added to the Raw commentary team next week. WWE has just announced the 32-year-old will serve as guest commentator for the entirety of the next episode.
Young was also recently announced as a member of the team who will be broadcasting the second edition of the Mae Young Classic. She has previously done commentary work on NXT and WWE Superstars as well.
BREAKING: As first reported by @espn, @ReneeYoungWWE will make history this Monday night as guest commentator for the full duration of #RAW! https://t.co/0CVjshUZAL
It is not clear if Young is auditioning for a permanent role or if this will be just a one-time deal. Booker T has done a similar guest commentating spot in the past earlier this year.
Reactions To Renee Young as Commentator
Several wrestling personalities have chimed in to offer their support for Young. In particular, Paul Heyman offered up his praise for the commentator.
I applaud @WWE for the decision to have @ReneeYoungWWE sit in this coming Monday as a guest commentator on #RAW. The entire program has just been handed an instant upgrade. Bravo! A most worthy recipient of this extraordinary opportunity! https://t.co/ct3xOXt6IO
Renee was on Lillian Garcia’s podcast recently. She spoke about how appearing on Total Divas was difficult due to her marriage to Dean Ambrose.
“It was hard, it was really hard and even now when I see the girls and their on the road, and you’ve got a camera in your face, and you’re taking these vacations that aren’t really vacations, it’s exhausting, it’s really a lot of work,” Young said. “I commend them all for doing it. For the people that it’s great for, its great for, but I think the problem that I essentially ran into was that I’m not a private person and my husband is.”
Renee Young recently made an appearance on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia to talk about various topics including her experience on Total Divas as she has been a guest star for the majority of the run of the series on the E! Network and was even a main cast member for seasons four and five.
Young noted that it was a cool experience but once she was in the middle of it, she knew she would have to broach this subject with her significant other as she stated that she might not have been on the show if it was just because of her but rather because of her relationship with Dean Ambrose.
“It was hard, it was really hard and even now when I see the girls and their on the road, and you’ve got a camera in your face, and you’re taking these vacations that aren’t really vacations, it’s exhausting, it’s really a lot of work. I commend them all for doing it. For the people that it’s great for, its great for, but I think the problem that I essentially ran into was that I’m not a private person and my husband is.”
She added that didn’t want to make him do something that he didn’t want to do. Speaking of her relationship with Ambrose, she was asked how they got together as a couple and later married.
She brought up how they were always talking and connecting as friends and how she didn’t know that he doesn’t talk to anybody but rather just her.
“As soon as we actually like hung out, he came and met me in Orlando. We were on like neutral territory, I was down there doing NXT, because there was times when he said he was going to come to New York and I’m like, “You’re not staying in my apartment! What do you think that means?!” So he came to meet me in Orlando and we hung out and we’ve literally been together since.”

– Hulk Hogan is teasing a big announcement for October 27.
On Saturday, “The Hulkster” appeared at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Cleveland, Ohio and while firing up a large crowd of fans, the WWE Hall of Famer teased a big announcement.
“All the brothers out here with the nWo shirts on, something really special is going to be going down,” Hogan said.
“Just remember, the date, October 27. Go to HulkHogan.com, something very special is gonna happen October 27.”
On the front page of HulkHogan.com, there is a message from Hogan (or Hollywood Hulk Hogan) that reads:
“Something big is coming and it’s going to be 2 sweet brother – Hollywood HH
Save the date, October 27th.”
Hogan also addressed his reinstatement into the WWE Hall of Fame during his speech.
“There’s a lot of stuff going on. WWE put Hulk Hogan back in the Hall of Fame,” Hogan said to a rousing ovation.
“That means I get to go back and beat Vince McMahon up one more time.”
– WWE.com has added a profile on the newest member of NXT’s broadcast team, Sarah Schreiber.
Schreiber began working for WWE in April at WrestleMania Axxess and quickly became a fixture at NXT live events in Florida as she often serves as a ring announcer and host. She recently began appearing on NXT television in a role similar to Renee Young.
Renee Young has worked commentary before. She was a color commentator on NXT from 2013-14 and also worked on Superstars alongside Tom Phillips.
There was some talk of Young returning to the commentary booth after JBL’s departure from the company. Young, however, was quick to point out she might not be the best replacement.
While I truly appreciate all of the support on this,I would just like to remind everyone that I was never very good at commentary for NXT 😳😂 https://t.co/aQpysHDx6o
The 32-year-old started her entertainment career by studying at Toronto’s Second City Training Center. From there she joined theScore.com which formerly aired WWE Raw and Smackdown in Canada before being purchased by Sportsnet.
Young hosted the show “Right After Wrestling” which would later be named “Aftermath”. Other WWE personalities who have been associated with the post-wrestling show include Santino Marella, Mauro Ranallo, and former referee, Jimmy Korderas.
She was signed to WWE in 2012 after working at theScore for 3 years.
Young married Dean Ambrose in a private ceremony on April 9th, 2017. Fans only realized the two had officially tied the knot when Ambrose was seen wearing a wedding ring on television that week.
Smackdown General Manager, Paige, and WWE host, Renee Young, recently decided to play a prank on Becky Lynch. The orange-haired Lass-Kicker arrived backstage at Smackdown but was surprised to learn that wrestlers in the back had tampered with her luggage.

Becky Lynch’s Bag Smells Great
Somehow, the moral of this story turned out to be that Becky Lynch’s bag seems to smell great.
The topic of luggage was clearly still on Lynch’s mind when she Tweeted out the following:
Lynch made Billie Kay of the IIconics tap out last night to her armbar submission finish.
Praise for Becky Lynch
Lynch earned some praise recently from WWE Hall-of-Famer, Bubba Ray Dudley.
“Every time she climbed that ladder, those people were on their feet. They’re invested in her, they wanted to see her win. Hopefully, the people in the back are listening.” – Bubba Ray Dudley
Lynch was the inaugural Smackdown Live Women’s Champion, having won the title shortly after the brand extension in 2016. She won a 6-Pack Elimination Challenge at Backlash that year to win the title. She would lose the title that December at the TLC pay-per-view to Alexa Bliss, however. Lynch dropped a tables match and then a steel cage rematch to Bliss due to interference by Mickie James. She then fell out of the title picture altogether.
Married couple, Renee Young and Dean Ambrose, live in Las Vegas. They have both been seen supporting the NHL’s expansion Las Vegas Golden Knights franchise this season as well. The Golden Knights have made it all the way to the Stanley Cup finals and both Young and Ambrose were there in person for game 2 last night.
Rather than sit in private box, however, the pair spent a portion of the evening riding atop the arena’s Zamboni.
Wrestling fans in attendance for the game made note of their appearance. Ambrose appears to have grown in a beard and gotten a haircut too.
Ambrose has been out with a triceps injury since December. Although this hasn’t been confirmed, speculation is there have been several setbacks in his recovery.
Kurt Angle addressed Ambrose’s extended stay on the DL during a Q and A session on his Facebook page last month.
“LISTEN EVERYONE. Dean is healing nicely. He will be back soon!!!!! I get this question every week. I know how popular he is but asking me when he will return will not make him return any sooner than he can. He will be back soon. Promise.”
At the time of his injury, Ambrose was taking part in the Shield reunion storyline. In Ambrose’s absence, Roman Reigns has gone back into single’s action and Seth Rollins has since won the Intercontinental Championship.
WWE personality Renee Young was recently a guest on former Tag Team Champions Edge and Christian’s podcast, E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, to talk about several professional wrestling topics. Young discussed being a pro wrestling fan as a child but losing interest as she got older:
“So I was [a pro wrestling fan growing up]. I was when I was younger, when I was a kid, but I had fallen out from watching it. I mean, I was always playing a bunch of sports growing up. I was always a busy kid doing stuff, so I did fall out from watching it. But yeah, once I kind of resubmerged myself in it, I got back in it seeing who was still around, what was going on, what the storylines were, and everything.” Young added.
“I knew enough about it, but I didn’t know everything about it. I wasn’t like the voice of wrestling by any stretch at that point, so yeah, I had to figure some stuff out.”
Young also admitted that she had some initial reservations about leaving her Canadian TV gig with The Score Television Network in Canada, however, she knew she wanted her next step to be in the U.S. She had several offers from other outlets, including a great audition with ESPN:
“Yeah, I definitely did – I certainly had some reservations in the sense that I was winding down at The Score no matter what, so I was looking for my next step. And I knew that I wanted my next step to be in the U.S.
“And I did, at the time, have a couple of different offers on the table or a lot of different career path opportunities.” Young recalled, “but the week of my audition at WWE, I think it was later in the week or maybe it was a Monday to a Monday kind of situation, but the week prior, I had gone to ESPN because they were really heavily considering bringing me in to take over SportsNation when Michelle Beadle first left.
“Yeah, so I was down there, went in, had a great audition, like, you know when you have a s–t audition, but this was like a good audition, everyone was giving me high-fives.”
She then got an audition with WWE, which she believes didn’t go great, but ended up being offered the job:
“The next week, my agent was like, ‘hey, WWE wants to bring you in.’ I was like, ‘okay, cool,’ went down, had, like, not a great audition with WWE by any stretch,” Young acknowledged. “I went for my audition, went and did commentary with [an unnamed former WWE commentator], which was brutal, brutalious, it was quite heinous.
“And I was like, ‘wait, what am I doing? What?’ And it was just a feeling of a lot of pressure figuring out what doing commentary does, which I still haven’t figured out, and they gave me a battery and they were like, ‘sell this to me.’ They put me through the gauntlet, so I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Lo and behold, here I am and I got the job, you guys.”
When she joined WWE initially, the company pitched Renee (real name Renee Paquette) the name “Renee Sterling” for her WWE name. This caused some tension for Young, as she had already established herself with the Paquette name on TV and didn’t realize a name change was required:
“When I got the job, it was still a weeks weeks after that and I was going back and forth from like Stamford [Connecticut] to Toronto, and figuring out my visa, blah, blah, blah, whatever.” Young remembered, “and I got an email with my new name change, which was Renee Sterling and I was so stressed out about this.
“Yeah, it was Renee Sterling. I didn’t know that my name was going to change and that kind of threw me for a loop because, as [Edge and Christian] said, I was working in Canada before and had been on TV before, so I felt very odd about changing my name. And then, they let me give a few other name options and I ended up with Young.”
Young said that nowadays ring names likely aren’t required for WWE commentators anymore:
“Yeah, it’s super odd and, like, I do get it in the way of like, it’s different now. A lot of people got to keep their name.” Young explained, “we’ve hired a few other people that are down in NXT now and they’ve all got to keep their name, so it seems like that may be dying off, but I felt like that kind of put me into the machine of WWE for all rights and whatnot for them to just own the name.
“But yeah, that was the biggest thing I had reservations about. I just felt like I didn’t know that was going to be part of the deal and it threw me for a loop. And it was not met with good reception when I didn’t want to change my name, but that was somebody else who also doesn’t work here.”
You can listen to Young on E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness by clicking this link here.
A recent report suggested that WWE could be looking to make a change to its commentary tables, adding women to color commentary on both RAW and SmackDown Live. There are a few candidates who have been mentioned by speculative fans such as Lita and Beth Phoenix.
Another possible name is Renee Young, who actually has some experience at the commentary booth. Young recently took to Twitter to address the possibility, saying she’d be open to doing color commentary but doesn’t seem interested in play-by-play:
Thanks for the love guys! I feel like the more I get asked about this the more I feel like I’d be open to trying it again. In the right circumstance. But honestly, any woman that could step up and fill that role would be huge for WWE. ⚡️❤️ https://t.co/vQc6VBKT57
– USA Network made a major error during last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW in some parts of the country. After RAW General Manager Kurt Angle announced that a Triple Threat match for the Intercontinental Championship will be happening between The Miz, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor at WrestleMania 34; RAW abruptly went off the air.
USA Network then began to air the next episode of “UNSOLVED: Who killed Biggie and Tupac?” Many fans missed Paul Heyman’s promo with Roman Reigns that closed the show. USA Network eventually realized the mistake and cut back to the live feed in Milwaukee while Heyman was in the middle of his promo.

Reby Hardy took to Twitter to shut those rumors down, claiming she filmed those clips herself last Tuesday:
– Backstage interviewer Renee Young was noticeably absent from last night’s RAW. A fan took to Twitter to ask Renee why she wasn’t there and she admitted that she was sick and had to miss the show. Young confirmed she’ll be at Fastlane and everything else after that:

Renee Young’s thoughts on joining the SmackDown Live commentary team
Earlier this week, JBL announced that he will no longer be on the weekly SmackDown Live commentary team. JBL stated that he wanted to devote more time to at-risk youth and communities in Bermuda.
JBL will continue his relationship with WWE and will appear at marquee events such as WrestleMania and Tribute to the Troops.
Gorilla Position’s Twitter account suggested that Renee Young make history and join the SmackDown live commentary team. Young responded with the following:
While I truly appreciate all of the support on this,I would just like to remind everyone that I was never very good at commentary for NXT ?? https://t.co/aQpysHDx6o
On last week’s episode of WWE RAW, Jeff Hardy won a Battle Royal to become the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship. Jeff Hardy will face The Miz tomorrow night on RAW for the title. Yesterday, The Miz asked both Matt and Jeff Hardy to join The Miztourage instead of having the match tomorrow night.
The Hardy Boyz responded and at first joked around that they were going to accept The Miz’s offer. They then declined and Jeff Hardy said that he will take the Intercontinental Championship on Monday night and that The Miz will become obsolete.
– WWE has announced that Renee Young will be working both RAW and SmackDown television from this point forward. The move comes after WWE scaled back on her weekly Talking Smack show and the discontinuation of her ‘Unfiltered’ WWE Network series.

Take this for what you will, but both Daniel Bryan and Renee Young are claiming they will be hosting a new show after Smackdown tonight. According to them “Smacking Talk” actually will debut tonight on Tout.
In 2012, WWE invested $5 million in Tout, a social media blogging and video platform. It is unclear what percentage of Tout WWE owns. They would sometimes even use “touts” from wrestlers on their programming.
WWE stopped using their Tout channel in 2014. Unless Daniel Bryan and Renee Young are trolling everyone, that will change tonight after Smackdown!
As reported yesterday, WWE are changing the scheduling of Talking Smack. The show’s weekly slot has been removed and the popular talk show will now air after Smackdown Pay Per Views on WWE Network.
This news puzzled many, including the show’s host Renee Young. Renee took to Twitter to confirm that she was not told of the change and she is seemingly not too pleased about it:
Are you a fan of Talking Smack? Do you watch weekly? Why do you think the show has fallen down the Network rankings recently? Let us know in the comments
Renee Young was asked by a fan on Twitter if she would be a part of the cast for season seven of Total Divas. Young responded to the fan and announced that she will not be returning for new season of the show.
@ReneeYoungWWE please tell me your still on Total Divas !! 🙏🙏🙌🙌 I LOVE YOU AND YOU MAKE IT WORTH WATCHING
YouTube channel 8 Bit Universe has released their version of Bobby Roode’s “Glorious Domination”. 8 Bit Universe has also created 8-bit versions of other popular WWE Superstar’s themes, including Becky Lynch and Shinsuke Nakamura. Renee Young has revealed some interesting details about her recent wedding to Dean Ambrose. During an interview with EOnline.com, Renee confirmed the wedding took place on Sunday, April 9th and the whole thing came together spontaneously.
“I wouldn’t even really say that we were engaged. We’ve been together for three and a half years and we knew that we wanted to have a Vegas wedding, because we live in Las Vegas we just figured we’d do it there and we’d just do it super low-key.”
They got their marriage license about six months ago when WWE had a live event in Reno, Nevada. They matter-of-factly walked up to City Hall, got the license and knew they could officially tie the knot whenever they wanted to. Earlier this month, Renee and Dean were laying in bed one night when Dean presented her with a ring. They decided to get married that night and found a 24-hour pastor to marry them at 1am in their backyard!
“We were going to bed! We were going to bed and he like busted out the ring and we were like, ‘Oh man I guess we should do this now.’ So we ended up going on Yelp and we found a 24-hour pastor to come to our backyard. It was so handy and his name was Pastor Pete and he lived around the corner from us, so he was there.
They were very concerned by the way because it was 1 o’clock in the morning, so technically it was Sunday and they were very concerned about us calling, they were like, ‘Is everything OK? Have you guys been drinking? What’s happening?’ We’re like, ‘It’s fine, you can come down.’ So we had to get a witness and we called and woke up a friend of ours and got it done.”
Renee said she and Dean are very non-traditional, which is why they didn’t feel the need to have a typical engagement and big fancy wedding. “It was so perfect and so us. There’s not a single thing about it I would change.”
It appears WWE Intercontinental champion Dean Ambrose and WWE broadcaster Renee Young have officially tied the knot. Both Dean and Renee wore their wedding rings on WWE television this week, which saw Ambrose moving to RAW during the Superstar Shake-Up.
The couple began dating in late 2013. Their relationship has been acknowledged on WWE television for some time and has been featured on Total Divas.
The marriage was referenced by Kevin Owens on last night’s Talking Smack. Owens congratulated Renee, but didn’t specify what he was congratulating her for. Both Renee and Shane McMahon acted confused, with Shane saying, “I don’t know if we’re talking about that.”
A WWE fan dug up this public record indicating that Dean Ambrose and Renee Young filed for a marriage certificate in Nevada back in October.
Daniel Bryan announced that The Miz and Maryse will be fined $5,000 for Maryse slapping Renee Young earlier on Smackdown.
Baron Corbin was the first guest on the show. It was announced that Corbin will face John Cena next week. Corbin claimed that Smackdown beat Raw in the ratings last week because he was in the main event. Corbin said that he is looking past John Cena and focusing on the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania. Daniel Bryan didn’t think it was wise to look past John Cena. Corbin said that there is no way a part time wrestler can beat him. After Corbin left, Daniel Bryan praised Corbin’s confidence and said that he didn’t disagree with Corbin that he had a major part in the ratings for Smackdown. Bryan also said that Baron Corbin looked dominant last week in the main event of Smackdown and he wouldn’t be surprised if Corbin won the Royal Rumble match.
Daniel Bryan discussed part time wrestlers and said that Ambrose has wrestled the most matches this year. Bryan said that Ambrose has been main eventing almost every WWE live event and he understands why wrestlers may be angry with part timers that show up and take the best matches at Wrestlemania. Carmella and James Ellsworth then joined Talking Smack. Renee Young questioned that their relationship was legitimate. Ellsworth tried to apologize to Daniel Bryan about interfering in Carmella’s match earlier in the night but Carmella stopped him. Daniel Bryan thought it was absurd that Ellsworth interfered in a women’s match. Renee asked what do Carmella and Ellsworth do for fun? Carmella said that Ellsworth is really great at holding the bags when they go shopping. Carmella was also wearing the James Ellsworth shirt and at one point called him “Jimmy”. Renee Young continued to question the relationship between Carmella and Ellsworth after they left. Daniel Bryan then said that Ellsworth might be bringing something to the table that we don’t know about. Bryan then added that Ellsworth might be bigger than we think he is.
The Miz then stormed the set and angrily stared at both Renee Young and Daniel Bryan. The Miz chastised Daniel Bryan for allowing Renee Young to get involved. The Miz also complained that the referee should have disqualified him because Maryse slapped Dean Ambrose. The Miz also ranted that Dean Ambrose didn’t deserve the match in the first place. Daniel Bryan claimed that The Miz only thinks that Superstars don’t deserve matches because he knows that they are better than him and he cannot defeat them. The Miz then completely lost his mind and went on a crazy rant. His face was completely red and he started slamming on the table. The Miz claimed that he was the best wrestler in the WWE. Talking Smack ended with The Miz whipping his microphone across the set while shouting that he was sick of this company and everyone plotting against him. The Miz then stormed off and the show abruptly ended.
John Cena joined Renee Young and JBL as the first guest on Talking Smack. Cena complimented the current roster of the WWE and stated that they haven’t had this much talent in 15 years. JBL stated that he agreed with Michael Cole that John Cena was the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. JBL stated that Cena used to bash The Rock for being a part time wrestler. JBL asked Cena if he was now a part time performer and Cena didn’t really answer the question. Cena instead stated that he was wrong to say those things about The Rock because he is now the highest paid actor in Hollywood and has transcended the wrestling business.
Cena once again stated that he is not leaving the wrestling business and he is sick of the rumors floating around that he is. AJ Styles then showed up and interrupted. Styles stated that Cena tried to big league him tonight by shaking his hand. Styles claimed that he already defeated Cena when he was at his best at Summerslam. Cena stated that he was still recovering from a shoulder injury and that wasn’t his best shot. Styles laughed off the comment and said that Cena was just making excuses.
Styles stated that he is going to do what he does best and that is “beat up John Cena”. Cena went on to claim that Styles’ WWE Championship reign will be coming to an end at the Royal Rumble next month. Styles made fun of Cena’s hat and walked off the set. Cena stated that he feels like the other Superstars have a lack of respect for him now because he is filming movies and exploring other projects. Cena also claimed that he is stronger than he has ever been and that he is fed up with the new era and people claiming that he is done. Cena said that 2016 was not a good year for him and that he has something to prove in 2017. The segment ended with Cena laughing at the fact that Styles believed that he had already taken Cena’s best shot.
American Alpha joined the show to discuss becoming the Smackdown Tag Team Champions tonight on Smackdown. JBL commented on how many people American Alpha came out during a commercial break and hugged. American Alpha apparently gave out a bunch of tickets to family and friends for tonight’s show. Jason Jordan stated that their victory tonight over the Wyatts helps solidify them as a team and when it is all said and done, American Alpha wants to be considered one of the best teams of all time. Chad Gable claimed they won the match tonight because he and Jordan are tag team specialists and the Wyatts are not. JBL compared American Alpha to the Steiner Brothers. JBL also stated that Gable’s catchphrase “ready, willing and Gable” was stupid and told him to stop saying it. JBL apparently hates all catchphrases and wants American Alpha to act like badasses. Gable wound up saying that he would stop using the phrase at the end of the segment.
Dean Ambrose joined the set and stated the he discovered that he looked really good in collared shirts. JBL made fun of Ambrose’s previous attire. Ambrose said that he would “slap the piss out of JBL” if JBL continued to insult him. JBL asked Ambrose if he thought it was inappropriate that Renee Young slapped The Miz last week. Ambrose said that it wasn’t inappropriate and The Miz deserved it. Renee Young asked Dean Ambrose to sit down and he did for a minute or two and then stood back up. Ambrose claimed that he would rather wrestle Bray Wyatt than be locked in a room with an angry women. Ambrose also claimed that his grandmother sent the dog after him once because he stole a popsicle out of the freezer. Talking Smack ended with Ambrose stating that he will knock The Miz’s teeth out of his mouth in their Intercontinental Championship match. Ambrose also stated that The Miz is quietly putting together a Hall of Fame career but that Ambrose is going to “maim” him next week on Smackdown.
Renee Young was trending on social media last night after slapping The Miz during an in-ring interview on SmackDown. Renee asked Miz about his obsession with Dean Ambrose and Miz replied with a comment about Renee sleeping with Ambrose. Renee appears in this backstage video and says everyone knows about her relationship with Ambrose but Miz crossed the line with the way he called her out, and she had to stand up for herself.
Renee later appeared on Talking Smack and apologized for what happened. She says she knows it was the wrong thing to do but Miz crossed a line, so she crossed one too. Video from that segment is below:
Rhyno was dressed as Santa Claus last night for the entire episode of Talking Smack. He creepily hit on Renee Young the entire show and it was glorious.
Natalya was also a guest on Talking Smack and she continued to take shots at Nikki Bella. Natalya stated that she is wrestling royalty and Nikki Bella was handed everything because she was pretty. Daniel Bryan took exception to this given the fact that he is married to Brie Bella. Natalya claimed that the Bella twins were not in her class because she is a member of the Hart family.
Becky Lynch appeared on Talking Smack and she was still dressed as La Luchadore. Becky stated that she was ashamed that the Women’s division was represented by Alexa Bliss on Smackdown. Rhyno Claus started acting naughty again and rubbed a chocolate chip cookie on his chest in an effort to impress Becky Lynch.
Baron Corbin went on Talking Smack and claimed that he was the biggest threat in the Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship next week on Smackdown. Corbin went on to say that Styles would pay for the four chair shots he gave to Corbin last night on Smackdown. Corbin didn’t seem to worried about Dolph Ziggler or AJ Styles. Corbin was also frustrated that Daniel Bryan made a match to determine the #1 contender to the WWE Championship while Corbin was away accepting his award for Most Metal Athlete of 2016.
It would be shocking if Baron Corbin won the WWE Championship next week but there is no denying that he will be in the main event picture in 2017. Corbin has been on Talking Smack several times and he has done well every time he has appeared on the show. On Smackdown, Corbin’s promos sometimes feel forced. I’m not sure if it is because the promos are scripted or if Corbin simply tries too hard during Smackdown. Either way, Corbin has the potential to be great once he puts everything together. He is well on his way to becoming WWE Champion and one of the biggest stars on Smackdown.

– Bubba Ray Dudley took to Twitter this week and offered his thoughts on President-elect Donald Trump appointing Linda McMahon as the head of the Small Business Administration and as you can imagine, Bully’s comments didn’t go over well with many fans:
If liberals were pissed and crying about @realDonaldTrump winning, wait till they see @VinceMcMahon struttin through the White House. 😂🇺🇸
