Two Big UK Names Confirmed for Rev Pro/NJPW Global Wars Events

Having already announced NJPW talents Jushin Thunder Liger, Honma and Naito for the November 10th/11th Global Wars shows, Revolution Pro have released a promotional poster featuring Will Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr who have both confirmed via Twitter that they will be appearing at the two night event.

Their opponents are yet to be named however with the event focusing on inter-promotional bouts there are bound to be some one time only unmissable match-ups.

Revolution Pro: Liger Announced For NJPW Global Wars, Vader/Ospreay Q&A, More

Revolution Pro have had a busy news week having recently made a number of huge announcements:

As reported on Sescoops recently, Rev Pro have announced 2 co-branded Global Wars shows with New Japan Pro Wrestling that take place on November 10/11th. The first name for these events has been announced and it is NJPW legend Jushin Thunder Liger

The day before their historic bout at Rev Pro’s Uprising event, Will Ospreay and Vader will be taking part in an exclusive Q&A session at the Resistance Gallery in Bethnal Green (opposite York Hall), tickets for the event  are available on revolutionprowrestling.com.

The following matches have been confirmed for ‘Live at the Cockpit 11’ taking place on August 7th. Jeff Cobb (Lucha Underground’s Matanza) will be taking on Big Damo. Marty Scurll will be facing NJPW Young Lion Jay White and Ryan Smile will be taking on Josh Bodom.

Two Top Lucha Underground Stars Announced for Rev Pro Uprising 2016

Revolution Pro have announced that Jeff Cobb (Matanza Cueto) and Ricochet (Prince Puma) will be performing at the August 12th ‘Uprising’ event.

Cobb will be taking on the current British Champion and WWE Cruiserweight Classic competitor Zack Sabre Jr, Ricochet will be facing The ‘Brusierweight’ Pete Dunne.

As previously reported on Sescoops the main event of this show sees Will Ospreay taking on Vader in a feud that started on social media over a match between Ospreay and Ricochet at the NJPW BOSJ tournament. With Ricochet booked to appear at Uprising there has been speculation that he may get involved in the main event in some capacity and potentially set up a match between himself and Vader.

Here are the full results from Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Summer Sizzler event that took place at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London.

Second Match Announced For Rev Pro Uprising 2016

Revolution Pro have announced that on August 12th Chris Hero will be taking on ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll. Hero and Scurll recently headlined PROGRESS Chapter 31 in a Match of the Year Candidate and this bout looks set to follow suit.

The main event for the York Hall show in August is Will Ospreay vs Vader.

Rev Pro Announces NJPW Young Lion for ‘Live at the Cockpit 11’

‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll will be taking on New Japan’s Jay White on August 7th at the London Cockpit. White recently left Japan to find his feet internationally, a tradition that has been observed for years in New Japan.

Rev Pro and New Japan have a unique relationship that started officially at last year’s Global Wars events in London and Reading. This business partnership continues as NEVER Openweight Champion Shibata competes for the first time in the UK at the prestigious York Hall.

 

ROH Star Booked for Rev Pro’s Summer Sizzler

Ring of Honor star ‘Moose’ has been signed to face Sha Samuels at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Summer Sizzler event on July 10th.

Other bouts already announced for the event are:

Rev Pro Announce First Match For ‘Live at the Cockpit 10’

Revolution Pro have announced that Pete Dunne will be taking on Noam Dar on Sunday July 3rd at the London Cockpit in Marylebone.

Dunne’s Cruiserweight title will not be on the line as he is booked to defend against Will Ospreay at the Summer Sizzler, Rev Pro owner Andy Quildan took to Twitter to confirm that if Dar wins the bout then he will be the number 1 contender.

Both Dunne and Dar performed for Rev Pro at the recent Angle vs Sabre Jr Supershow and had stellar matches on the undercard, both are highly experienced Cruiserweight talents on the UK scene and Dar is scheduled to appear at WWE Cruiserweight Classic later in the year. Dunne narrowly missed out on a place at the ‘Classic when he lost to ‘The Gentleman’ Jack Gallagher at PROGRESS Chapter 29.

2 Matches announced for Rev Pro’s Summer Sizzler (7/10)

During last night’s Angle vs Sabre Jr event at Bethnal Green’s York Hall two more matches were announced for Rev Pro’s Summer Sizzler card taking place on July 10th.

Former NJPW Never Openweight champion Katsuyori Shibata will be taking on Zack Sabre Jr and Josh Bodom will be facing Tomohiro Ishii.

Bodom called out Ishii after defeating Chris Hero in a brutal match that saw both men laying in stiff shots, his record for recent York Hall shows is impressive and the bout with New Japan legend Ishii could help elevate his career massively.

After the dream match with Kurt Angle, Zack Sabre looks to further cement his status as ‘the best technical wrestler on the planet’ when he takes on ‘The Wrestler’ Shibata.

The Rev Pro Cruiserweight title will be on the line when Pete Dunne defends against Matt Cross/Son of Havoc for the ‘Live at the Cockpit 9’ show on Sunday June 5th.

Dunne has also been scheduled to face Will Ospreay at the Summer Sizzler show in a match that is already being billed as a title bout, so expect Dunne to successfully defend his title on the 5th.

Having already announced Mark Haskins vs Trent Seven for the June 5th Cockpit show, Rev Pro have now released details of the following scheduled matches:

Before his encounter with Kurt Angle at Bethnal Green on June 12th; Zack Sabre Jr takes on ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey, who also features on the June 12th Supershow against Will Ospreay.

Due to the controversial finish of the Damo/Sabre Jr title match at the last Cockpit show, ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll has been scheduled to face Big Damo.
