Rhea Ripley Tattoos: Former Judgment Day Member Explains Her Ink

Rhea Ripley recently opened up about the personal significance behind her tattoos in a new episode of WWE Tattooed. The former member of Judgment Day revealed the deeper meanings of her ink, reflecting her personal journey and experiences.

The Start of Ripley’s Tattoo Journey

Rhea Ripley’s first tattoo is a tribute to the pivotal moment in her WWE career, the date of WWE Evolution.

Ripley described this day as the true beginning of her transformation into “The Nightmare” and “The Eradicator,” identities that have come to define her wrestling persona.

Despite the pain of the tattooing process, Ripley was eager to start her journey into body art, considering it a thrilling experience that signified her new path in WWE:

“It was a really special day. It really was the start of my awesome career here within the WWE and my gradual change into The Nightmare, The Eradicator, the absolute brutality that you see today. It [the tattoo] definitely stung and I was a little bit thrown off with that, but I was also so excited to start this tattoo journey.”

A Symbol of Sisterly Bond

Another meaningful piece of ink Ripley has is a tattoo representing her bond with her younger sister, Calista. She explained that the tattoo symbolizes their unbreakable connection, regardless of distance or circumstances:

“We are sisters for life. It doesn’t matter how far we go in life or what the distance is between us. We’re always going to be there for each other and we’re always going to love each other. So we just wanted to have some sort of memento of our love.”

WrestleMania and the Crowned Sugar Skull

Ripley also shared the story behind her sugar skull tattoo adorned with a crown. She added the crown during WrestleMania 39 and Ripley claimed that she did so because she knew she was going to beat Charlotte Flair for HER crown:

“I added the crown to it at WrestleMania 39 because I was being cheeky. I was like, ‘I’m gonna get a crown because I’m going to take Charlotte Flair’s crown,’ so now I have a crown, and that’s exactly what I did.”

Judgment Day’s History Is Repeating

Judgment Day has had its ups and downs, but it’s telling that this faction’s show-long angle wound up threading its way through SummerSlam, one of the biggest events on the WWE calendar. Indeed, in the men’s and women’s divisions alike on Monday Night Raw, Judgment Day has been a huge force, holding its own with the World Heavyweight Championship scene and drama between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk as one of the most buzzworthy parts of the brand.

One of the more interesting aspects of the creative success surrounding Judgment Day is that their history is in many ways repeating itself. That’s not only in having the Women’s World and Raw Tag Team Championships on lock—a familiar position for the group over the last year—but also in a number of specific choices around their booking that are playing out more successfully the second time around.

Judgment Day Has Ousted Its Longest Standing Members Again

The Judgment Day
(via WWE)

One of the defining elements of Judgment Day as a unusual wrestling stable is that they kicked out their founder and first leader Edge just a couple months into the group’s run. That choice certainly appeared to hurt the group in the short-term, as they lost their lone bona fide main eventer and undisputed biggest name.

Nonetheless, Judgment Day rallied, particularly after Triple H took the reins of creative. Rhea Ripley came to dominate her show’s women’s division, while Dominik Mysterio found unlikely success as a heel fans loved to hate. JD McDonough is a talented hand who got a nice rub from joining the group and an immediate sense of identity, as opposed to getting lost in the main roster shuffle like he otherwise might have. Finn Balor was a steady de facto top name for the group, and Damian Priest grew into a role in which he arguably superseded Balor for star power. R-Truth injected some comedy, and working in a big-bodied lackey role wound up being a pretty perfect role for Carlito at this stage of his career.

Judgment Day started when Damian Priest helped Edge beat AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38, and Rhea Ripley was the next recruit. So it is that, in the group exiling Priest and Ripley at SummerSlam, they are staying true their history. They’ve booted their longest standing members and again reinvented themselves around their newer participants, not least of all including Liv Morgan enlisting in their ranks.

Dominik Mysterio Is Disloyal Again… And It Cuts Deeper This Time

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan

It can be difficult to remember now, but in 2022, Dominik Mysterio was a white meat babyface and he floundered in the role—showing little personality and facing fan backlash for the sense he only had a featured spot on account of who his dad was. His heel turn and betrayal of his father, culminating in a showdown at WrestleMania 39, completely changed fans’ perspectives of Dirty Dom.

On one hand, betraying one’s father is without question a more profound act of disloyalty than betraying one’s girlfriend. However, it’s worth noting than in terms of Mysterio’s full-time, on screen work with WWE, his partnerships with Rey and with and Rhea Ripley weren’t actually so disparate in length, each running around two years.

More important than sheer time, there’s the matter of heat. When Dominik turned on his father it was a welcome change because their partnership felt stale and fans didn’t really buy into the younger Mysterio as a face. By contrast, there’s a real case to be made that the love triangle angle Dominik worked with Ripley and Liv Morgan was the single hottest storyline WWE had to offer from the spring through the summer.

There were certainly a fair share of fans who saw it coming when Dirty Dom turned on Mami. Nonetheless, the sight of him making out with Morgan in the aisle way while a beaten Ripley seethed was positively electric. Whether it’s good creative, good performances, or a simple matter of fans being along for the ride for the entirety of the couple’s kayfabe relationship, there’s little question that instance of Dominik’s betrayal hit even harder than his first.

Judgment Day Will Get Its Comeuppance

Rhea Ripley with the Women's World Championship

When Judgment Day kicked out Edge, it became the focal point of both the group’s and the rest of The Rated R Superstar’s WWE run that they’d get into each other’s business. It all culminated in Edge besting Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 39.

There are plenty of permutations for WWE to run through in the current feud between Judgment Day and The Terror Twins. However things play out, though, it seems very likely things won’t be over until Rhea Ripley destroys Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio—probably getting her title back in the process. Meanwhile, at least one high-profile one-on-one showdown between Balor and Damian Priest also feels like an inevitability.

Whatever happens, Triple H has demonstrated a strength for booking factions who get heat, but also get what’s coming to them in the long term. Judgment Day looks set to move through that cycle once again.

Rumors Of Judgment Day’s Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

When Judgment Day booted Edge, the naysayers were quick to jump on them, suggesting the group would never last. Indeed, it did feel like they were on life support for a while as the subsequent feud with The Ultimate Opportunist got stretched thin and the stable’s successes were few and far between.

The faction bounced back with a vengeance, though, becoming one of the most provocative parts of WWE programming, particularly from WrestleMania 40 to the present moment. Coming out of SummerSlam , rumors flew again that with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest splintering, the stable might be over, or the remaining heels might rebrand under another name. Once again, the group wasn’t done quite yet, with Judgment Day vs. The Terror Twins really clicking in these weeks to follow.

It appears that this last piece—of fans sticking a fork in Judgment Day only for their part of WWE programming to reemerge, stronger than ever–has been the most defining part of the stable’s story. Who knows how much longer they’ll carry on, but the audience should understand by now never to count them out.

WWE Champ Liv Morgan Embraces the Spotlight: “I Feel Like This Is My Time”

WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan is currently riding high on her “Revenge Tour.” She kicked off her rise in the Monday Night Raw women’s roster by defeating Becky Lynch to win the title at King & Queen Of The Ring on May 25. Thus far, she has successfully defended her championship three times, including against bitter rival Rhea Ripley. The champion remains steadfast in continuing her reign and remaining on top of the women’s division.

In an interview with Sirius XM Busted Open’s Dave LeGreca, Morgan opened up about her career shift this year to being a “Heel.” She believes this is her time to shine in the company and is happy with her creative direction.

“…I feel like I’ve worked my whole for the success that I’ve had these four or five months, I’m just happy,” she said. “I really don’t know how else to put it. I’m happy. I feel like I put in the work. I feel like there is a difference between it’s your turn, and it’s your time, and I feel like this is my time.”

– Liv Morgan, Busted Open Radio

The champion noted that Grammy-nominated artist Jelly Roll told her it was her time at SummerSlam on August 3. Morgan’s latest action of stealing Ripley’s boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, and aligning with the Judgement Day(Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito & Mysterio) has sparked interest from fans on how WWE plans to continue her storyline next.

Liv Morgan On Her Ongoing Revenge Tour Storyline

Morgan’s latest title defense came by defeating “The Eradicator” at SummerSlam, with assistance from Mysterio. To add to the insult, the champion and “Dirty Dom” made out after the match to further embarrass Ripley. WWE’s decision to align Morgan with her new boyfriend and the rest of the Judgement Day has further cemented her status as one of the biggest “Heels” on the roster.

When speaking on her current “Revenge Tour” storyline, she expressed that she is happy with the reception from fans about the feud.

“…I’m just enjoying everyone watching and tuning in. I’m enjoying people loving it. I’m enjoying people hating it. It seems like it’s quite polarizing, and so it’s just fun to see how everyone reacts to what we are doing.”

Feuding with Rhea Ripley

Elsewhere in the interview, Morgan also discussed how the storyline of getting revenge is intriguing to fans because it is relatable. She pointed out that her issues with Ripley are unique because her actions could deemed justifiable because of what “Mamí” did to the champion in the past.

“…I feel like it’s something that maybe people can relate to. You know, getting revenge. Getting their lick back. Getting back at someone that hurt them. That wronged them, or maybe they didn’t get back at that person, and they wished that they did. I’m just being as true to myself as I can in this moment, and I’m just happy that everything went exactly the way that I said that it would.”

– Liv Morgan, Busted Open Radio

The WWE Women’s World Champion’s “Revenge Tour” will next involve teaming up with “Dirty Dom” to take on Ripley and Damian Priest at Bash In Berlin on August 31. The mixed tag team match will put Morgan and Mysterio’s relationship to the test against the wrath of their opponents.

Rhea Ripley Welcomes Rematch Against “Princess” Charlotte Flair

WWE superstar Rhea Ripley is ready for a rematch against her rival Charlotte Flair. In their last encounter, “The Eradicator” defeated Flair to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 on April 1, 2023.

“The Queen” is currently recovering from tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. The injury occurred during a match against Asuka on December 3, 2023, during the episode of Friday Night Smackdown. After months of rehab, Flair is getting closer to returning to the WWE.

In an interview with veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter, Ripley warned the seven-time WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion ahead of her comeback.

“…Mamí is bigger and better than ever. I beat you at WrestleMania 39, so you best believe that I can do it again. I love you, princess. Get back and be safe because Mamí is going to put you back down.”

– Rhea Ripley, WrestleBinge

After Ripley won the title in 2023, she was moved to Monday Night Raw along with Judgement Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio). WWE’s creative decision made it so they were separated by different brands and has created intrigue from fans about a rematch.

Charlotte Flair Recovery Update

On July 30, Flair posted a video of herself training in the ring at the WWE Performance Center. She was noticeably wearing a knee brace but could do in-ring exercises with seemingly little discomfort.

WWE announced in December 2023 that Flair’s timeline for her full recovery could be nine months, which would be on track for a September return. She’s listed as a free agent on the WWE website, allowing the company some flexibility to place her on Raw or SmackDown when the time comes.

Ripley is currently focused on her feud with WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and her former boyfriend, Mysterio. That said, the company could move to have Flair rekindle her rivalry with “Mamí” when she is ready to return.

Rhea Ripley Makes Comic Debut With Gil Thorp Comic Strip

Former WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has made her debut in comics.

‘The Eradicator’ was featured on the August 20 edition of the Gil Thorp comic. The edition saw the characters attending a wrestling event at the Milford Convention Center and Rhea Ripley was a performer featured at the event. The characters of the comic were delighted and praised ‘Mami’ for being the best.

“Gil Thorp” is one of the longest-running sports-themed comic strip which has been in publication since September 8, 1958. The strip revolves around Gil Thorp, who is the athletic director at Milford High School. He trains the school’s football, basketball, and baseball teams.

Rhea Ripley recently made an appearance at the inaugural Fanatics Fest NYC convention at the Javitz Center in New York City. The festival brought together some of the top stars from WWE, NFL, MLB, UFC, NHL and more. WWE Superstars and Legends participated in Photo Opportunity sessions, Autograph Sessions, stage shows, and live podcasts. The event took place from August 16 to August 18

Meanwhile, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were betrayed by the new Judgment Day at SummerSlam. The Judgment Day saga has been going on for a while and the Terror Twins are now seeking revenge on Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. The two teams will battle it out at the upcoming Bash In Berlin PLE on August 31.

Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest Promise Brutality For the Judgment Day After WWE RAW

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest are ready to wage war with the ‘New’ Judgment Day after what has transpired since SummerSlam. At the Biggest Party of the Summer, Priest and Ripley were betrayed by Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio respectively and would come up short in their championship matches.

On RAW, it was revealed that Balor, Mysterio, JD McDonagh, and Carlito have remained aligned and have added Liv Morgan to their ranks. Priest’s match with McDonagh ended in a DQ when the Judgment Day members got involved, but Ripley came to the aid of the former World Heavyweight Champion.

Speaking after the show, Damian Priest made clear that there’s more to being a true member of the Judgment Day than having the name.

“They call themselves The Judgment Day, but that whack ass group is not The Judgment Day. Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest are The Judgment Day, not those clowns.”

Rhea Ripley agreed with her ally and vowed that brutality is coming for the new Judgment Day after all that has transpired.

“After all this bloody betrayal, I don’t think they’re actually ready for the brutality that we’re going to hand them, because it’s going down.”

The saga of the Judgment Day has been lengthy and has seen multiple members be recruited and exiled from the gothic faction. Now, Priest and Ripley, two of the faction’s longest-serving members find themselves on the outside. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for more of this war of the Judgment Day.

Rhea Ripley Opens Up About Balancing Real-Life Relationships With Wrestling Storylines

Rhea Ripley says managing real-life relationships with what’s happening on TV is all about communication and respecting each other.

The Mami recently spoke to TVInsider where she talked about things such as the growing women’s division of WWE, NXT’s partnership with TNA, and more.

Ripley who has been involved in a long-running angle with Dominik Mysterio was asked what it’s like managing storylines with stuff that happens outside the world of pro wrestling.

The former Women’s Champion who got married to the love of her life Buddy Matthews earlier this year noted how the AEW star is very understanding of her situation:

“There is a level of respect. Luckily for me, Buddy [Matthews] is in the business, so he knows what goes on and is needed from us. He understands my schedule, storylines, everything. He gets it.”

I Feel Safe With Him: Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley mentioned how Buddy was involved in a similar angle during his time with WWE. The two feel safe with each other because they communicate their feelings:

“He was in the same sort of thing with Aalyah Mysterio. I feel like us keeping communication of what is going on is the level of respect that is needed between an actual relationship and an onscreen relationship. He knows I love him, and I feel safe with him. And he feels safe with me, nothing will change that.”

Speaking about Dominik, Rhea noted that they have a lot of fun together too and she loves working with the son of WWE Hall of Famer.

The Australian star’s relationship with Dirty Dom, however, seems to be over after the latter betrayed her and aligned himself with Liv Morgan at the SummerSlam PPV this past Saturday.

Though Ripley is not in the mood to let Dom get off so easily. After the events of this week’s Raw, she has promised to deliver unprecedented brutality to Mysterio and the rest of Finn Balor’s new Judgement Day.

WWE Fans Missed A Big Clue That Dominik Mysterio Would Betray Rhea Ripley

WWE SummerSlam 2024 is in the history books, and the fallout from the event will impact WWE storylines for months to come. The event perfectly balanced the start of a new era with the culmination of some long-running angles, giving us a lot to contemplate.

A number of new champions were crowned at the show who are expected to be leading the charge of the company for many years to come. On the other hand, some of the biggest talking points came from the completion of many long-running arks.

Dominik Mysterio’s betrayal of Rhea Ripley is one such storyline that has been in the making for a long time. We’ve been tracking the minute developments of this story for months. Now that Dirty Dom’s true intentions are out in the open, we can reflect on the whole thing to see the full picture.

Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan’s Master Plan

Looking back at the marquee angle of WWE Raw, we can say that the signs were always there. Liv Morgan had the remote in her hand the whole time and she had been pulling the strings to get exactly what she wanted.

The biggest sign of it came at the King and Queen of The Ring PPV where Liv originally won the Women’s World Championship vacated by Rhea Ripley. At the time it appeared that Dominik Mysterio had accidentally helped Morgan win the title when he distracted the referee.

A new slow motion video of the whole angle, however, shows that the two were always working together. In the video below, you can see Dirty Dom signaling his new associate to take advantage of the situation as he discreetly does what he is the best at:

The Devil’s In The Details

Morgan has also been in the ear of Finn Balor all this time. If you remember, Liv Morgan was the one who got Balor and JD McDonagh a rematch for the tag team championships, before helping them regain the title from The Miz and R Truth.

Even after The Mami had returned to TV to take charge of The Judgement Day, Finn and Liv were spotted together one too many times. When Liv Morgan destroyed the faction’s clubhouse, she left the things belonging to the former Universal Champion untouched:

Looking back at all the signs, it’s pretty clear that Liv Morgan has been the devil behind the details. She had been causing all the mayhem to fulfill her promise of taking everything that belonged to Ripley on her revenge tour.

Now that she has successfully taken the group apart, the big thing to see will be how Rhea Ripley reacts to this betrayal and what she has in store for the Women’s Champion now.

Stay tuned with SEScoops as we continue to follow the top storylines of the wrestling world and provide details to help enhance your pro wrestling experience.

WWE SummerSlam 2024 News: Injury Spots, Ref Cam And More

WWE SummerSlam 2024 is in the books with a lot of interesting storyline developments coming out of the latest Premium Live Event.

Fightful Select has provided some backstage updates on topics such as the top merch sellers coming out of the PPV and more.

According to the reports, the Intercontinental Championship match between Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker was allotted 10 minutes.

The bout in which Breakker defeated the wrestling veteran to win his first title on the main roster ended after only 5 minutes and 42 seconds.

Cody Rhodes was the top merch seller for the company at the WWE Superstore in Cleveland and the merch stand at the Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Roman Reigns reportedly didn’t crack the top three but that’s expected to change with his return. The $600 custom WWE Championship belt for Reigns on the company’s online store did end up selling out within 24 hours.

A very interesting new addition to WWE programming was the ref cam. It was first tested at the performance center and they tried to fine-tune it before Saturday.

Though everything did not go as planned for the company as the battery pack of the camera fell out during the CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre match. Seth Rollins ended up making the decision to remove the camera afterward. The concept is expected to continue.

There were multiple spots at the event which made fans worried about the health of the participating wrestlers. The most notable was Jacob Fatu’s leg injury during the main event which was said to be preplanned.

The spot with Rhea Ripley’s shoulder during her match with Liv Morgan was also planned in advance. The nasty landing of Logan Paul during the superplex spot with LA Knight was the one thing that wasn’t expected, but the YouTube star was said to be okay afterward.

Rhea Ripley Reveals Unlikely Basis of Friendship With Childhood Idol The Miz

Rhea Ripley has always been a fan of The Miz and her time in WWE has given her the opportunity to form a friendship with the A-Lister over a shared interest.

SEScoops correspondent Ella Jay caught up with The Mami during SummerSlam 2024 media day. They discussed topics such as the female star’s WrestleMania 40 entrance, Damian Priest’s world title run, and more.

The former Women’s Champion has always been open about looking up to The Miz. Now that she will be competing in an event hosted by the hometown star in Cleveland, we asked Ripley how her dynamic with the wrestling veteran has changed.

The Judgement Day star revealed that she has actually formed a friendship with the former WWE Champion, after they bonded over music:

“It’s funny because I don’t think I’ve actually talked to him about it. Yeah, so I think he obviously knows, because all the interviews that I’ve done putting him over, but I feel like we’ve actually started to have a friendship as well, which is nice. We bond over music. He’s always showing me different bands and different songs.”

Long Road Trips, Loud Music and Headbanging

Rhea Ripley revealed that they got the opportunity to strengthen their friendship while spending the long hours of WWE tours singing and sharing their favorite songs:

“We had a few road trips where we’d be on the same bus for hours, and we’d end up just like, blasting music and head banging the whole trip. He’s like, screaming. It was him, me and [Damian] Priest, and we were just going, absolutely ham, just screaming all the lyrics, singing and head banging.

We were, like, all drenched by the end of it, just sweating absolutely grossly. But I feel like our friendship has blossomed over music, which is really cool, because it’s something that I didn’t think we would blossom a friendship over which is weird. But yeah, I think it’s good.”

The Mami is set to compete against the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at the event from the Cleveland Browns Stadium tonight. You can check out her final message for Morgan before the PLE here.

Rhea Ripley Sends Final Message To Liv Morgan Before SummerSlam Encounter

Rhea Ripley is not only fighting to score a victory over Liv Morgan tonight at the grand stage of SummerSlam, but she is also looking to eradicate the current champion for everything she has done.

SEScoops correspondent Ella Jay caught up with The Mami before the upcoming WWE PPV. They talked about Damian Priest proving himself as a champion, her WrestleMania 40 entrance and more.

When asked if she has any final messages for her SummerSlam opponent before their encounter in the Cleveland Browns Stadium tonight, Ripley told Morgan that there is no more hiding:

“You want to manipulate my family, and you want act like you’ve done nothing wrong. You want to play the victim. You want your fans to put over this little ‘victim mentality’ story of yours. Well, it all comes to an end at SummerSlam. There’s no more running, there’s no more hiding.”

You Can’t Escape The Nightmare: Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley hasn’t forgotten how Liv Morgan tried to win over Dominik Mysterio and the rest of The Judgement Day in her absence due to an arm injury. She pledged to absolutely eradicate the Women’s World Champion for everything she’s done:

“You can’t escape the nightmare that I’m gonna put on you, and when I walk out with my Women’s world Championship, then your little revenge tour? It ends. So say goodbye to everything you know and love, because you know me. You know me better than a lot of people and I will stop at nothing to absolutely eradicate you.”

While Rhea Ripley will be looking to take back the title she never lost in a match, the rest of The Judgement Day might find themselves hanging in the balance.

There have been indications that the group will be torn apart when they have to choose between the two female stars and this implosion may very well come at the PPV tonight.

WWE SummerSlam 2024 will kick off at 7 PM ET for US audience. For international start times, you can check our guide here.

Rhea Ripley: Everything You Need To Know About The WWE Superstar

Rhea Ripley has rapidly ascended the ranks of professional wrestling to become one of WWE’s most beloved superstars in modern times.

Known for her powerful in-ring presence and striking look, Ripley has captivated audiences worldwide, earning a litany of Championships across RAW, SmackDown, NXT and NXT.

Here, we delve into the key phases of her career, personal life, and the milestones that have shaped her into the iconic Superstar that she is right now.

Early Wrestling Career

Rhea Ripley, born Demi Bennett on October 11, 1996, in Adelaide, South Australia, began her professional wrestling career on the independent circuit in 2013.

Competing under her real name, she quickly made a name for herself in promotions like Riot City Wrestling and New Horizon Pro Wrestling.

NXT UK

In 2017, Ripley joined WWE and participated in the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Though she didn’t win, she would end up joining the original NXT UK roster.

In August 2018, she made history by becoming the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion, defeating Toni Storm in the finals of a tournament to crown said Champion.

Ripley held onto the title for 139 days, showcasing her dominance and paving the way for future successes in WWE.

NXT

After her tenure in NXT UK, Ripley moved to the NXT brand in 2019. She quickly established herself as a top contender and won the NXT Women’s Championship by defeating Shayna Baszler in December 2019.

Ripley would then make history by defending the title at WrestleMania 36 against Charlotte Flair in the first time that a Royal Rumble winner (Flair) would challenge an NXT Champion with their guaranteed title shot at ‘Mania.

Main Roster

Ripley made her main roster debut on Raw in March 2021, challenging Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37.

Throughout her main roster journey, Ripley has held the Raw Women’s Championship, WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which was later renamed the Women’s World Championship.

Personal Life

Rhea Ripley Husband

Rhea Ripley is married to fellow wrestler and AEW star Buddy Matthews, whose real name is Matthew Adams.

The couple, both hailing from Australia, announced their engagement in August 2023 and tied the knot in June 2024.

Rhea Ripley Wedding

Ripley and Matthews’ wedding was a significant event, and the couple shared their big day on social media, with Ripley captioning a photo of their kiss with “Til death. ?23.06.24.”

The wedding featured a gothic theme, with both dressed in black.

Rhea Ripley Return

Rhea Ripley made a surprise return to WWE Raw in July 2024 after a hiatus due to an injury.

Her return was kept a secret, with WWE going to great lengths to maintain the element of surprise. Ripley was hidden from the roster and flown to the event on a WWE corporate jet.

Rhea Ripley Injury History

Throughout her career, Ripley has faced several injuries. Her most recent injury occurred in April 2024, leading to her vacating the Women’s World Championship and Liv Morgan then becoming the new Women’s World Champion.

Reunited: Looking Back On Dominik-Rhea Love Story

WWE’s resident Bonnie & Clyde are back together as Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio reunited during the July 22, edition of RAW. Despite months of Liv Morgan trying to woo ‘Dirty Dom’, Mysterio made clear this week that Morgan means nothing to him, leaving the reigning Women’s World Champion in tears. Ripley on the other hand, was delighted by this revelation and proved all was forgiven with a lick of Mysterio’s face.

With that in mind, here are some of the defining moments of the pair’s relationship.

Love at First Sight?

Ripley and Dominik’s first interactions did not suggest that the pair would become a power couple in WWE. In 2022, Ripley, fresh off a heel turn and a member of the Judgment Day, began targeting Dominik during the faction’s feud with Rey Mysterio and Edge. These segments routinely saw Ripley get the upper hand on Dominik, often using her impressive strength to literally manhandle the young babyface.

Coupling in Cardiff

At WWE Clash At The Castle 2022, Rey Mysterio teamed with Edge to defeat Finn Balor and Damian Priest. The real shock came after the match though, as Dominik low-blowed Edge and betrayed his father, aligning with the Judgment Day in the process.

Mami Is Born

As part of the Judgment Day, Dominik would mirror much of Eddie Guerrero’s mannerisms and make reference to Eddie’s feud with Rey that saw Guerrero declare ‘I’m Your Papi.’ To compliment the character, Ripley was dubbed ‘Mami’ and her ‘I’m Your Mami’ shirt would add another twisted layer to the couple’s relationship.

Love Behind Bars

On Thanksgiving 2022, Dominik and Rhea crashed the Mysterio’s family meal and sought to repeat this nefarious act the following month at Christmas. This time, however, the plan would backfire as Dominik would be arrested. This resulted in Mysterio becoming a (self-professed) hardened criminal and Rhea stuck by her ex-con boyfriend.

A Championship Couple

By July 2023, Ripley had been dominating as the WWE Women’s World Champion for months and it was time for Mysterio to also hold a title. On the July 18, edition of WWE NXT, Ripley, alongside Finn Balor and Damian Priest, aided Mysterio in winning the NXT North American Title from Wes Lee. This ended Lee’s record-setting 269-day reign and would mark Mysterio’s first singles title in WWE.

Living with Liv

When Rhea Ripley was injured in April 2024, an act that ended Rhea’s time as Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan wasted little time in trying to win over ‘Dirty Dom.’ A one-woman kind of man (admittedly if you ignore his real-life marriage,) Mysterio refused to be won over as we saw on the latest Monday Night RAW.

What’s to Come?

With all forgiven between herself and Dominik, Rhea Ripley can now focus on WWE SummerSlam 2024 where she will challenge Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship. After leaving RAW in tears, Morgan’s days with the gold may be numbered now that Dominik has made his allegiances crystal clear.

Liv Morgan Breaks Down In Tears Backstage After Dominik Insults Her

WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan is heartbroken after Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio publicly humiliated her.

‘Dirty Dom’ has had enough of Morgan. He hasn’t reciprocated the feelings despite Morgan pursuing him for weeks. In a Raw Exclusive, Liv Morgan could be seen crying in the backstage area after Dominik Mysterio insulted her.

On the latest edition of Raw, Dominik came across Liv Morgan in the backstage area. When Rhea Ripley came to know about it, she angrily brought Dominik to the ring. ‘Mami’ called out Morgan, who was in the audience.

Liv Morgan once again expressed her feelings for Dominik and said men like Dominik prefer girls like her over Ripley. Dom stopped a furious Rhea Ripley before hurling insults at Morgan. He made it clear that he hated Morgan and that she meant nothing to him. This left the champ in tears.

Last month, Liv Morgan had shocked the fans when she locked lips with Dominik. In the following weeks, Morgan continued to flirt with Dominik. However, the situation got interesting when Rhea Ripley returned from a shoulder injury and interrupted Morgan, who almost kissed Dom again. Last week, ‘Mami’ continued to ignore Dominik but later in the show, she forgave him.

Morgan is all set to put the WWE Women’s World Championship on the line against Rhea Ripley at next month’s SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

Watch: Rhea Ripley Brings Mami Energy To Call of Duty Season 5 Trailer

WWE’s resident ‘Mami’ Rhea Ripley is bringing the firepower in the latest trailer for season five of the latest Call of Duty video game.

In the trailer, Rousey appears in her wrestling attire as an in-game playable character and uses an assortment of guns as well as a sledgehammer. The trailer also features a wrestling ring and a variety of wrestling moves.

It was confirmed earlier this month that WWE would be “bringing its best” to Call of Duty season five which will be released on July 24. It’s currently unclear if other WWE Superstars will be a part of Call of Duty season five.

WWE’s Current Video Game Crossovers

Rhea Ripley in Call of Duty isn’t the only unique crossover that WWE is embarking on right now. It has been confirmed that characters from Street Fighter will be part of an upcoming event in WWE Supercard. A trailer also revealed that Rey Mysterio, Xavier Woods, and Zelina Vega will receive custom cards inspired by Street Fighter characters.

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne will be a part of WWE Champions as part of the upcoming ‘Summer of Darkness’ event. Osbourne, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, will be a character in the game and players will have the chance to collect Ozzy-themed items to progress in the Madman Collection Contest.

WWE Superstars In Non-Wrestling Games

We don’t know if any other Superstars will appear in Call of Duty but there are some wrestlers who have appeared in non-wrestling games. Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, John Cena, and The Rock have all appeared in Fortnite. Lynch and The Undertaker also had customized skins for characters in Rainbow Six Siege.

Jey Uso Shoots His Shot With Rhea Ripley: I’ll Take Her To Waffle House!

Rhea Ripley could be in store for all the waffles she could eat should the Judgment Day member take Jey Uso up on his offer of a date.

On the July 15, edition of Raw, Ripley confronted Dominik Mysterio about his ‘relationship’ with Liv Morgan. Despite Mysterio’s attempts to be forgiven, including dozens of black roses, Rhea wanted no part of it and slammed a door in the face of ‘Dirty Dom.’

Jey Uso Wants A Date

Raw also saw Jey Uso tease an interest in Ripley and even gave the former Women’s World Champion the hand-sign to ‘call me.’ Speaking after Raw in a WWE Digital Exclusive, Jey shared what could be in store for Rhea if she answers his call.

“I think she deserves better [than Dominik Mysterio.] If she needs a shoulder to cry on, holla at your Uce. You know what I’m saying? We can take it slow. Go to Waffle House. You probably ain’t never been to Waffle House, though, but you need to come this way, Rhea. It’s a little cheap, but it’s good. The quality’s good.”

Jey also predicted what Rhea would order if the pair stepped foot in one of the 1,900 locations of the popular restaurant chain that has been open since 1955.

“She looks like she would eat ten egg whites and a chicken, but I’m all about that triple hash-brown life, Uce. Double waffle, chocolate-chip cookie, Uce. We gonna get along just fine.”

Jey Uso & The Judgment Day

Ironically, this is not the first time that Uso and Ripley have been linked. In the summer of 2023, Jey moved to Raw and quickly found himself approached by the Judgment Day. The group went to great lengths to try and win over Jey and it was even suggested that Rhea would be ‘interested’ in him if he joined.

Ultimately, Jey rejected the faction’s advances and ended up feuding with the Judgment Day. Now, Uso is the one pursuing Ripley in the latest twist of the compelling love triangle that has proven to be one of Monday Night Raw’s most intriguing stories.

Dominik: ‘Rhea Ripley’s Been Avoiding Me, I’ll Try To Fix Things On Raw’

Dominik Mysterio is hoping to fix things with Rhea Ripley on the next episode of Raw following the climactic ending to this week’s show.

In the main event, Dominik and Liv Morgan defeated Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega, marking Dom’s first WWE victory over his father. After the match, it appeared that Dominik was ready to give in to Morgan’s advances until Rhea Ripley returned and confronted her ‘Dom Dom.’

Making Things Right

While Mysterio is well and truly in the ‘doghouse’ the former NXT North American Champion is ready to fight for his (on-screen) relationship with Rhea Ripley. Speaking to ESPN, Mysterio gave his happiness on a scale of 1-10 during the Raw main event.

“I had finally beaten that deadbeat, I was about a ten. I was about a solid 9.5-10. Not even taking Liv into consideration. Just the fact that I had beaten that deadbeat. Once Mami’s music hit and everything happened afterward, I felt like I was at about a two, maybe a one.”

When asked about his current situation with Ripley, Mysterio admitted that it’s been tough to talk to her in recent days, but he’s confident thing will work out.

“I tried my best to communicate with her. She’s kind of avoided me as of now, but she kind of has no choice but to see me on Mondays. So, I’m going to fix things. I’m going to do my best to fix things on Monday.”

What’s to Come?

We don’t know what will be said between the two on next week’s Raw but fans won’t have to wait long. It’s been confirmed that Rhea will open the show and fans will no doubt be intrigued to hear what she has to say in her first promo since vacating the WWE Women’s World Championship.

As for Liv Morgan, she’ll likely continue to try and play Ripley and Dominik against one another. While Liv quickly ran from the ring when Ripley returned, backstage footage suggests that she is happy to see Rhea back (and at odds with Dominik.) With SummerSlam around the corner, some have predicted a Ripley-Morgan title match but that has yet to be confirmed. Until then, fans will remain gripped by what has become one of the most popular love triangles we’ve seen in years.

Liv Morgan Very Pleased To See Rhea Ripley’s WWE Raw Return

Liv Morgan may be more pleased to see Rhea Ripley return to WWE TV than she let on during the July 8, 2024, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

In the show’s main event, Morgan and Dominik Mysterio teamed to defeat the LWO’s Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega. After the match, it appeared Dominik was going to give in to Morgan’s advances until Ripley made her return after months off of TV. Her comeback saw Morgan scurry to the back while Raw went off the air with a tense face-off between Ripley and Dirty Dom.

Liv Morgan Reacts to Rhea Ripley’s Return

The WWE Women’s World Champion was able to avoid a run-in with Ripley and seemed somewhat pleased to see her nemesis back on TV after Raw went off the air. In a backstage clip, Morgan was seen smiling as she watched Ripley verbally lay into ‘Dirty Dom.’

Could Morgan be grinning at the tensions between Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley that fans saw at the end of the show? Morgan has hardly been subtle in her efforts to woo Dominik and these tensions could see Mysterio fall closer in line with the Champ. The question, however, remains as to whether Liv genuinely cares for Mysterio, or if her affections are merely a plot to take even more from Rhea Ripley.

Ripley’s return comes after suffering a shoulder injury in April during a backstage attack by Liv that also ended Ripley’s tenure as WWE Women’s World Champion. Ironically, Morgan herself missed months of action due to an attack by Ripley and has therefore shown no remorse for causing the Australian’s injury. All we know for certain now is that this unlikely love triangle will be a focal point going forward on WWE Raw.

Rhea Ripley Returns & Liv Morgan Flees, What Happened After WWE Raw

In a dramatic conclusion to Monday’s WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley made her long-awaited return, bringing the simmering tension between herself, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan to a boiling point. The climax of the evening saw Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio team up against Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega, which ended in their victory. As the duo celebrated their win with a passionate embrace in the ring, Rhea Ripley’s music hit and the arena erupted.

Mami made her way to the ring and business picked up in a big way. Morgan, seemingly aware of the impending confrontation, quickly fled the scene, leaving Dominik alone in the ring. The tension was palpable as Ripley approached Mysterio.

Her demeanor was far from welcoming, a stark contrast to the celebratory mood moments earlier. When Dominik attempted to greet her with a hug, Ripley’s cold response spoke volumes. As RAW went off the air, fans were left with the image of a clearly displeased Ripley.

What Happened After Raw

The USA Network feed cut off early, but we can see here just how displeased Ripley was.

What’s Next?

Expect to see Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan at SummerSlam, one of our five WWE SummerSlam 2024 card predictions. This dramatic return sets the stage for what promises to be an explosive summer ahead as the next chapters in this ongoing saga are written. We’re now wondering:

  • How will Ripley address Dominik’s closeness with Morgan?
  • What are Morgan’s true intentions?
  • Where do Dominik’s loyalties truly lie?

Storyline Explainer: Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan’s Love Triangle

Liv Morgan Throws Out The First Pitch At Fenway Park

Morgan throws first pitch at Fenway Park ahead of her upcoming title defense.

WWE superstar Liv Morgan is enjoying the lifestyle of being the WWE Women’s World Champion. She won the title by defeating Becky Lynch due to interference by her current love interest, Dominik Mysterio, at King & Queen Of The Ring on May 25. Since then, Morgan hasn’t seen much competition and defended her championship once. On the July 1 episode of Monday Night Raw, she’ll finally put her gold on the line against Zelina Vega.

The event will occur at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Morgan initiated the feud by interfering in Mysterio’s tag team match alongside Carlito and JD McDonagh against World Wrestling Entertainment Braun Strowman & LWO (Dragon Lee & Rey Mysterio) on the June 10 episode of Raw. Vega would get into an altercation with the champion, and their issue would continue for the next two weeks. Their match on the upcoming episode will allow them to settle their difference.

While preparing for her title defense, Morgan made a special appearance today at Fenway Park during the Boston Red Sox and San Diego Padres game to throw the first pitch. The champion did a good job throwing without issue, showing off her arm strength compared to other celebrities. MLB captured the moment on X and decided to tag Mysterio to tease him.

Morgan also spoke with NESN and was asked by Adam Pellerin about what it means to perform in Boston. She spoke highly of the city and the energy the fans bring to WWE events when the company is in town.

Preview of Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega

The champion may need the energy when she faces her challenger on the July 1 episode. Since Morgan has been out of action on TV, she could deal with some issues in her title defense. Vega will seemingly have the speed advantage over her opponent and will be motivated to showcase her skills in a rare title match.

That said, Morgan is seemingly favored to retain her championship and continue to torment her rival, Rhea Ripley. ‘Mami’ is currently out with an injury due to Morgan’s attack on the April 8 episode of Raw. It’s unclear when Ripley will return to action. However, it’s possible WWE may have Morgan remain champion until she can defend it against the Australian superstar.

Regardless, the upcoming episode of Raw should be a fun show, and the crowd in Boston will be in for a treat to witness Morgan’s second title defense.

Till Death: WWE’s Rhea Ripley & AEW’s Buddy Matthews Are Married

WWE’s Rhea Ripley and AEW’s Buddy Matthews have officially tied the knot after marrying in an all-black ceremony this month. Ripley shared a photo of herself and her new husband on social media, announcing they tied the knot on Sunday, June 23. Forgoing tradition, Mami wore a black wedding dress for the ceremony while Matthews’ garb matched this macabre theme. Ripley posted this photo on Instagram with a caption that reads,

Til death. ? 23.06.24

This huge news unsurprisingly had the wrestling world talking with several wrestlers offering their best wishes. Matt Cardona offered his congrats in the comments section, as did Samantha Irvin. The WWE Raw ring announcer called the situation, ‘perfect”.

Staying on theme, WWE veteran Natalya shared several black heart emojis. The couple’s Instagram post also spawned over 130,000 likes in the first 30 minutes of it being uploaded to the platform. Meanwhile, Ripley’s close friend Dominik Mysterio dropped a few ‘black heart’ emojis to express his approval.

Rhea Ripley & Buddy Matthews

Ripley and Matthews began dating in 2022, which came after the latter’s exit from WWE. In August 2023, the couple shared that they had gotten engaged. This real-life relationship, however, did not stop WWE’s storyline from tying Ripley to her ‘Dom Dom’ Dominik Mysterio.

Ripley is currently out of action after suffering an injury that forced her to relinquish the WWE Women’s World Champion. Interestingly, Buddy Matthews was recently written off TV with an attack by The Patriarchy, and there have been questions as to whether reports of an injury were real or for the storyline. Either way, the couple will have plenty of time to enjoy their honeymoon period after marrying this month.

Liv Morgan’s Romantic Pursuit Of Dominik Mysterio Continues On 6/3 WWE RAW

Liv Morgan shocked the WWE Universe when she defeated Becky Lynch in a steel cage match on RAW last week. Then she doubled-down on that by kissing Dominik Mysterio. They opened this week’s show by continuing that storyline.

The WWE Women’s World Champion started RAW by welcoming fans to the Liv Morgan Revenge Tour. She said that while some claim revenge isn’t as sweet as it seems, she disagreed. Morgan gloated about taking out Rhea Ripley and becoming Women’s World Champion. She added that she put Becky Lynch into early retirement last week, and the cherry on top was kissing Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik’s music hit, and he made his way out. The injured Judgment Day member said he didn’t know what game she was playing, but Rhea Ripley wasn’t playing it.

He also said that The Nightmare will “kill” her when she comes back. Morgan replied that Ripley will probably “kill” Dominik, too. This is interesting, because the term “kill” has been on WWE’s banned words list for a long time, because that’s just a promise you can’t deliver on in a pro wrestling match if you expect to keep making money in the business.

Liv Morgan then asked how long Dirty Dom would keep lying to himself. Morgan followed up as she said Dominik came to the ring last week to be closer to her. She moved closer to him, saying she wanted to take everything from Ripley, including him. Dominik backed away as Morgan flirted with him. Liv said that she meant it when she said she is going to take everything from Rhea Ripley, and that includes Dominik Mysterio.

Suddenly, Finn Bálor entered the ring and told Morgan that Dominik and Judgment Day wanted nothing to do with her. Morgan asked Bálor “what if Dominik didn’t want her to leave,” but agreed to exit the ring. Morgan flirted with Dominik once more by playing with his hair before she left.

This is obviously not the end of this storyline, as things are just heating up. Rhea Ripley is out of action with an A/C joint injury, which usually takes two to three months to recover. So, Morgan may not have much longer to play her games until The Nightmare returns.

Later on, in a backstage segment, Finn advised Dominik to not play with fire. When WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest asked about the situation, Finn assured him that it was taken care of. Dominik Mysrterio said that he has spoken to Rhea, and he’s giving Mami “her space.”

After WWE RAW was over, Morgan carried on with her Dirty Dom obsession. While quoting Katy Perry’s breakout hit, the WWE Women’s World Champion proclaimed that she kissed a boy, and she liked it.

Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan Share VERY Different Reactions To WWE Raw Kiss

Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan may have locked lips on Raw but the two have had very different reactions to what has transpired.

On the May 27, episode of WWE Raw, Morgan retained the WWE Women’s World Championship against Becky Lynch in a steel cage match. Morgan’s victory came about after ‘accidental’ interference by Mysterio who it seems had come out to help Lynch but ended up costing The Man. After the match, Morgan kissed Mysterio though the former North American Champion did not appreciate her affections.

Dominik and Liv React

Morgan has been relishing in yet again being the talking point on WWE Monday Night Raw. On Twitter, the WWE Women’s World Champion has been retweeting various clips and gifs of her kiss with Mysterio. Liv has even gone as far as to make the image of the kiss her timeline cover image.

Liv Morgan shocked fans with her kiss on Dominik Mysterio.

Dominik Mysterio on the other hand hasn’t been happy with the kiss, especially as he is part of an (on-screen) relationship with Rhea Ripley.

More Reactions

The kiss heard around the world has proven to be a talking point in the wrestling world. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T was certainly surprised to see Morgan and Mysterio lock lips on Monday Night Raw.

Noelle Foley, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, was similarly shocked by what had transpired.

Not everyone was entirely surprised by what happened in the closing moments of Raw. WWE/TNA Hall of Famer Bully Ray had predicted on Busted Open Radio weeks ago that a kiss was coming. On Twitter, Bully was pleased to have been proven right.

What’ll transpire next in Liv Morgan’s title reign now that she has kissed Dominik Mysterio? And what will Rhea Ripley have to say when she eventually returns to the ring? Keep checking in with SE Scoops for all the latest news and updates.

Liv Morgan Kisses Dominik Mysterio During Closing Moments Of 5/27 WWE RAW

Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio’s storyline is generating significant buzz. Fans have speculated about a potential hidden relationship between the two, and recent events have added more fuel to the fire.

This week’s WWE RAW ended with Liv Morgan defending the WWE Women’s World Title against Becky Lynch. The match saw Dominik Mysterio get involved, similar to his interference at King & Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia.

During the match, Dominik came out to open the cage door, seemingly to help Becky win. Braun Strowman then appeared to chase JD McDonagh away, who, along with Finn Balor, tried to reason with Dominik. Dominik explained he needed to help Becky win the title back for Rhea Ripley.

As Strowman chased JD around the ring, he accidentally shoved Dominik into the open cage door just as Becky was exiting. This caused Becky to fall back into the ring, allowing Liv Morgan to crawl out of the cage and secure the win.

The RAW broadcast on the USA Network ended with Liv Morgan staring down Dominik. However, those watching on a different feed saw Morgan grab Dominik’s face and kiss him. Dominik resisted and walked away, adding more intrigue to their storyline.

Becky Lynch’s Contract Status

Becky Lynch’s loss is also significant, as her WWE contract expires on June 1. If she doesn’t reach a new deal, this match could mark her final appearance on RAW.

Lynch made it very clear that she wanted to evoke her rematch clause, and they hot-shotted that match to the very next episode of RAW
