Matt Riddle Wishes He Could Have Finished The RK Bro Run In WWE

Matt Riddle would have loved to finish his story with Randy Orton.

When the Superking of Bros was released from his WWE contract in September 2023, it also effectively ended his run with The Viper. Randy had been on the shelf due to a prolonged back injury at the time, so Riddle did not get an on-screen chance to explain the end of RK Bro.

During a recent interview with the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Matt Riddle discussed his tag team with the wrestling veteran and commented on the abrupt end of his WWE run. He noted how Orton had to take time off a lot during that period:

“I wish I would have been able to finish the run with Randy, with his injuries and then when we first started teaming up, he got COVID and was out for a couple months, he got it really bad. Then with the injuries, he’d have to take weeks off here and there. I was honestly waiting for him to come back.”

It’d Be Nice To Finish That: Matt Riddle

The former US Champion claimed that the run of RK Bro was a storyline he would have loved to finish in an on-screen capacity. Even if it was something as simple as Randy Orton turning heel and attacking him:

“The one that I really wanted to finish was RK-Bro. RK-Bro has some untied ends, some loose ends if you will. It’d be nice to finish that, even if it’s just me getting punted, whatever. It’d be nice to put a period at the end of it.”

Riddle noted that despite the way his WWE run ended, him and Randy are still friends. He said that the Legend Killer still texts him all the time and that’s good enough for him.

Matt Riddle Says WWE Creative Originally Laughed At The Idea Of RK Bro

Matt Riddle has revealed that the WWE creative originally laughed at the idea of the RK Bro tag team and it only came to fruition after Randy Orton himself pushed for it.

The Original Bro recently spoke to Johnny I Pro Show for an interview. He discussed things such as his favorite wrestlers growing up, why he hesitated in choosing pro wrestling as a career at first, and more.

The Birth of RK-Bro

Riddle’s team with WWE’s Apex Predator was easily the most entertaining part of his run. He was asked how this pairing originally came about.

The former WWE star revealed that Randy Orton pushed for doing more work with Matt Riddle after they had a singles match during the March 19, 2021 episode of Monday Night Raw:

“Randy was supposed to wrestle Braun Strowman one night and I was supposed to tag with Drew against Mace and T Bar you know when Retribution was still around.

I don’t know what happened but Randy and Braun didn’t end up wrestling and they switched Braun with me. So I got to wrestle Randy instead. After we worked Randy spoke very highly of me. He’s like ‘I want to do something else with him’ and they already had plans that we tag.”

Though the former WWE star also claimed that he got laughed at when he originally pitched the idea of teaming with The Legend Killer:

“Weeks before this I suggested we tag as RK Bro and the writing team just kinda laughed at me. Which most of my ideas they laugh and then like 2 weeks later they’ll be like ‘Hey I think we gotta do this’ and I’m like ‘Sounds awesome.’ I don’t even bring it up to them.”

Matt Riddle first pitched the idea of a tag team to Randy Orton on the same episode of Raw where they locked horns for a singles match. Orton had originally dismissed the idea but he accepted the proposal after losing to Riddle in the bout.

RK Bro saw a lot of success and they had two reigns with the Raw Tag Team Championships in their 13-month-long run together. Their stint came to an abrupt end however as Riddle got released from his contract in September 2023, at a time when Orton was on the shelf rehabbing his back injury.

WWE’s Abandoned Plan For Randy Orton & Matt Riddle’s RK-Bro Breakup Revealed

Matt Riddle previously stated that he has no hard feelings over his WWE release. Matt Riddle raked up over two dozen different infractions during this time with WWE, but it was his team with Randy Orton that many fans remember most.

Matt Riddle’s Claim About Plans For RK-Bro

During an appearance on Signed by Superstars, Matt Riddle discussed WWE’s intentions for him and Randy Orton before his departure. Without providing extensive details, considering the potential for a WWE comeback, the King of Bros mentioned the existence of plans for a storyline featuring a heel turn for one of the RK-Bro team members.

”Plan was — well we were hoping it… I don’t wanna really say how, because if I do return and then we do the story — yeah, I would say eventually all teams eventually turn on each other. I don’t wanna give the spoiler of who was gonna turn on who.”

Riddle and Orton lost the RAW Tag Team Titles to the Usos in a title unification match on May 20th, 2022. Then The Viper needed to take his hiatus for back fusion surgery.

Exclusive Insight Into RKO-Bro’s Breakup Plan

I asked around about this plan for RK-Bro, and I was told that this was actually true. It was always WWE’s intention to break up the team, but they never got to run that angle due to Orton’s back injury.

A tenured member of the creative team told me that, “There was always the plan for Orton to turn on Riddle.” So, the plan was going to see The Apex Predator turn heel on the Original Bro.

Matt Riddle and Randy Orton’s tag team was not intended to be a long-term angle. They were supposed to split after a very short time, as the King of Bros was supposed to eat an RKO outta nowhere and that would be the end of their team. However, they took off in popularity, and Vince McMahon never broke them up for good on television.

I was told several times in the months leading to Randy Orton’s return to the company that an RK-Bro reunion was never discussed. Then, Riddle was released in September, two months prior to Orton’s Survivor Series return on November 25th.

What’s Next For Randy Orton & Matt Riddle

You can never say never about a WWE return for Matt Riddle. CM Punk proved that anyone can come back. Still, Riddle left WWE with a lot of issues, as he had burned all of his chances with upper management who previously stood up for him.

Riddle is now working for MLW and NJPW. He is also taking indie dates, so he will be busy. Of course,

Randy Orton is back in WWE, and in a fatal four-way for the Undisputed Universal Title against Roman Reigns, LA Knight, and AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble on January 27th. The King of Bros may not be at the Royal Rumble event, but odds are he will be cheering on for Randy from home.

Matt Riddle Reveals Creative Plan To Dismantle RK-Bro Team In WWE

WWE released Matt Riddle from his contract in September, and while that was a surprise, many fans are now wondering what could have been. RK-Bro won’t get another run, but there were apparently plans to end their team anyway.

The Rise of RK-Bro in WWE

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle formed an unconventional tag team in 2021. Although Orton tried, Riddle was persistent, and it created some television gold for WWE.

Originally slated to be a very short angle, RK-Bro caught fire. Soon, fans all over were cheering for the team as they carried on their weekly soap opera storyline.

Initially, The Viper and The Original Bro had a dysfunctional dynamic, but their chemistry evolved into a cohesive tag teams. After winning the RAW Tag Team Titles, they had a nice run as champions before losing a title unification match to The Usos, and then Orton took off for 18 months.

Original Plan For RK-Bro’s Breakup

During an appearance on Signed by Superstars, Matt Riddle was asked about WWE’s plans for him and Randy Orton before his release. While being cautious not to divulge too much information, given the possibility of a WWE return, the King of Bros did reveal that there were plans for a storyline involving a heel turn for one of the two members of the RK-Bro team.

”Plan was — well we were hoping it… I don’t wanna really say how, because if I do return and then we do the story — yeah, I would say eventually all teams eventually turn on each other. I don’t wanna give the spoiler of who was gonna turn on who.”

Riddle did not specify who would be turning heel in that scenario. Orton went out of action with a back injury, one that required back fusion surgery; and that injury for the Apex Predator ended the RK-Bro team. So, a heel turn was never needed.

Exclusive Insight into RK-Bro’s Reunion Plans

After Matt Riddle was released, I reached out to inquire about RK-Bro, because I was curious. I was told by members of the creative team that there was never any plan to reunite RK-Bro.

There was never any talk of getting Matt Riddle back together with Randy Orton after The Viper’s return. Of course, Riddle was fired in September, two months prior to Orton’s Survivor Series return, where he snapped that 18-month hiatus from in-ring competition.

Top Superstar’s Injury Forced WWE to Unify Tag Team Titles (Report)

WWE’s Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships would have likely never been unified had it not been for Randy Orton’s injury.

The two titles were unified less than a year ago when The Usos (SmackDown) defeated RK-Bro (Raw) on the May 20, 2022, edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX.

Since then, the Usos have retained against the likes of the Banger Bros., the Brawling Brutes, the New Day and the Street Profits

Unifying

The titles being unified came as a surprise to fans, as WWE hurried into making the two tag titles into one championship.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained WWE’s original plans had Randy Orton not gone down with an injury.

“The tag titles were not going to be unified, and then… that’s when Randy Orton’s career almost ended.

“Riddle and Orton were just gonna stay at as the Raw champions… So without Riddle and Orton, RK-BRO, who are a hot team…they just went with The Usos to hold both belts.”

Dave Meltzer.

The Viper has not competed since the unification match due to a severe back injury with concerns growing that he could be finished in the ring.

De-unification

WWE may not have intended to unify the titles, and the gold will be split soon.

On Raw, the Judgment Day earned a shot at the Usos last week and it was specified that this is for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

A tournament will start on this Friday’s SmackDown to determine the number-one contenders for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Riddle Hints At The End Of RK-Bro Amid Randy Orton’s Absence

Riddle opened the May 23 episode of WWE Raw with an emotional promo.

He told the WWE Universe that Randy Orton had back problems going into the tag team title unification match, which was held on the May 20 episode of SmackDown. The Usos ended up winning all the gold thanks to assistance from Roman Reigns.

Riddle went as far as to say Orton was barely able to walk ahead of the match. He then said he doesn’t know about the future of RK-Bro due to Orton’s lingering issues.

“Randy’s been having a really hard time with his back lately. Before our Tag Team Title Match, he could barely walk. I knew Randy wouldn’t let me down because he knew how much it went to me. And he knew how much it meant to you.”

Of course, this could be a part of the storyline between The Bloodline and RK-Bro. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer had reported last week that Roman Reigns is expected to take on Randy Orton either at Money in The Bank or Summerslam.

Reigns is also internally set to meet Riddle one-on-one at some point in July. It’s important to note that these plans are not set in stone.

Update On WWE Unifying Tag Team Championships

WWE has unified the Tag Team Championships despite initial reports.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer had reported that WWE was going to inevitably do a tag team title unification match with The Usos and RK-Bro but that things wouldn’t end with undisputed champions.

To Bryan Alvarez’s credit, he did say there was a possibility that the titles could be unified but expected it to be short-lived.

Ultimately, The Usos defeated Riddle and Randy Orton on the May 20 episode of WWE SmackDown to unify the gold.

Meltzer took to Wrestling Observer Radio to say that the decision to have The Usos win the undisputed gold was a last-minute move.

He said that ultimately, the feeling was that it had been built up for so long that a winner had to be crowned.

Dave also noted that the post-match attack The Bloodline dished out on RK-Bro was always part of the plan.

WWE May Have Spoiled Outcome Of Tag Team Title Unification Match

The official Twitter account of WWEUK may have jumped the gun.

Tonight (May 20), a big title unification match is set for Friday Night SmackDown. It’ll be Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro taking on the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. This is being promoted as “Winner Take All.”

Hours before the big match occurs, WWE might have botched.

Undisputed Tag Team Champions Spoiled?

The official Facebook account of WWEUK made the following post, which was quickly deleted, appearing to reveal the outcome of tonight’s tag team title unification match:

This could have very well just been a “What If” post that didn’t get the green light but it has already got people talking.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter had reported that WWE planned to go through with the tag team title unification match without actually unifying the titles. Bryan Alvarez speculated that if WWE does crown undisputed tag team champions, the reign will be short-lived.

Update on Plans for The Usos vs. RK-Bro, Will There Be A WWE Tag Team Title Unification?

WWE is reportedly still planning on having a title unification match for the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships but does not plan on unifying the titles.

At WrestleMania Backlash, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and Roman Reigns defeated Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre in what was originally announced to be a tag title unification match.

It was later reported that WWE had always planned for a six-man tag at the Premium Live Event.

On this week’s Raw, Randy Orton and Riddle said they will still unify the titles and will appear on this Friday’s SmackDown.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said WWE is building to a title unification match, but this will not actually see one team hold both titles (via WrestleTalk).

“They are going to do the match, but as of right now, and I was also told this can change, but, they are not planning on actually unifying the titles.”

Dave Meltzer

Meltzer speculated that WWE could use a DQ finish to avoid unifying the titles in a title unification match.

WWE’s Empty Promises

WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2022: Full match-card predictions
Brock Lesnar had been advertised for WrestleMania Backlash but never booked for the show, in one of the growing number of broken promises by the company.

Should WWE go through with this plan, not unifying the titles would be the latest in a string of empty promises by the promotion.

Before WrestleMania Backlash, it had been announced that the titles would be unified despite WWE never having any plans to do that at the time.

WrestleMania Backlash had featured promotional material of Brock Lesnar, who not only did not appear at last Sunday’s event but had never been booked for the show.

Lesnar had been featured prominently in posters for the show before WrestleMania 38, to not give away that he was going to lose to Roman Reigns at the two-night April event.

During this same edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that while Roman Reigns has been confirmed for upcoming Premium Live Events including Money in the Bank, Summerslam, and Clash in the Castle, there’s no guarantee he’ll appear.

WWE Never Planned For Tag Team Title Unification At WrestleMania Backlash (Report)

WWE reportedly never had plans for a tag team title unification match at WrestleMania Backlash.

When The Usos first started their feud with RK-Bro, it was centered around trying to unify the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Roman Reigns specifically gave Jimmy and Jey an order to lay claim to the Raw tag team gold.

While the stage was set for The Usos vs. RK-Bro at WrestleMania Backlash, Reigns interrupted the contract signing. Randy Orton and Riddle were ambushed, and the contract was destroyed. Drew McIntyre then hit the ring and sent Reigns packing with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

Now, it’ll be a non-title six-man tag team match. The Bloodline will take on McIntyre and RK-Bro.

Title Unification Never In The Cards

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE never had the intent of booking a tag team title unification match. Simply put, WWE didn’t have a challenger lined up for Reigns at the WrestleMania Backlash event.

It had been reported previously that WWE didn’t want to rush a Reigns vs. McIntyre program.

WrestleMania Backlash will take place inside the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on May 8. Here is what the lineup looks like just a couple of days away from the event:

  • The Bloodline vs. Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro
  • WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey (“I Quit” Match)
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
  • Edge vs. AJ Styles
  • Bobby Lashley vs. Omos
  • Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss

Riddle On What He Has Learned From Randy Orton

Riddle couldn’t have asked for a better mentor to take his WWE career to next level than Randy Orton. The Apex Predator has gone through many of the phases the former UFC star went through early in his WWE journey. Randy also got into trouble and upset many veterans early on before growing up and earning the respect of his peers. Now he is using that experience to help the young star navigate the waters in WWE.

RK Bro spoke to Give Me Sport during WWE’s UK tour. When asked what he has learned from the Legend Killer, Riddle mentioned how Randy has been helping him understand the landscape of WWE:

“What haven’t I learned? You know, I feel like I’ve learned a lot about the business side of things and handling myself. Not just in the world of wrestling but in the world of WWE. Because I feel like each promotion, each company I’ve worked for kinda has a different landscape. From the UFC to the WWE, to the independence scene and everywhere.

I feel like he’s really helped me guide through the waters as smoothly as possible. At least for me because I kind of ruffle feathers all the time. He’s been helping me out a lot with that.”

‘It’s Night And Day’

RK-Bro Raw Champions

Randy Orton is regarded as one of the best in-ring workers of the current generation. Riddle mentioned how just watching him work makes you better:

“And of course, in ring ability, just watching Randy every night do what Randy does best, you are gonna get better. Your timing is gonna get better, your confidence is gonna go up. Your swagger goes up on the microphone, everything goes up.

From day one to day now, at least from my point of view it’s night and day. The transition and changes I have made. And I would say maybe, from outside looking in, it’s harder to see. From being on the inside looking out, it’s night and day like I said. My job has gotten drastically easier and more fun working with this guy.”

Dude! RK-Bro 4:20 T-Shirt on Sale at WWEShop

WWE Raw tag team champions RK-Bro have a festive new t-shirt available at WWEShop.com.

To commemorate April 20th (“4:20”), WWE is now selling an RK-Bro t-shirt inspired by Stone Cold Steve Austin’s iconic Austin 3:16 shirt.

The shirt reads, “RK-bro 4:20” in green text on the front and “… says I just smoked your asssssss” on the back.

According to Randy Orton, it “took some work” to get the shirt made. The RKBro 4:20 shirt is on sale today only and begins shipping on May 5th.

In case there was any uncertainty about what the shirt is referencing, an image at WWEShop promoting the gear depicts Orton and Riddle surrounded by a puff of smoke. Click below to pre-order:

Marijuana is a banned substance under WWE’s talent wellness policy, but that hasn’t stopped various Superstars from partaking in the illicit activity.

During a 2020 interview with Ariel Helwani for ESPN, Riddle shared his views on marijuana.

“I’m a supporter of it, you know, it’s medically legal in most states. And I know most companies, aren’t you know, punishing people [for it] anymore. I know since my stint with WWE I’ve had no problems. You know they understand my situation, they know I’ve fought in UFC, they know I’ve had multiple surgeries, they know I bump all around the ring and I take damage and everything else and I’m 34 years old.

“And as long as I am not hurting anybody or doing anything they make sure they test me all the time. They know everything about me. They test us for everything all the time. So its like, you know, I’m well taken care of and I’m good. They understand who the Bro is.”

Last year, Randy Orton revealed that he got high with Snoop Dogg backstage at WrestleMania 24. The Viper made sure to clarify that wasn’t the first time he had used marijuana, just the first time he smoked with Snoop.

RK-Bro Set for Tonight’s SmackDown Live

It looks like WWE RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro will be on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.

Currently, Orton and Riddle seem to be embroiled in a feud with SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos. Riddle confirmed he and Orton’s appearance on tonight’s SmackDown on Twitter, and Orton retweeted it with the following response.

Shortly after WrestleMania 38, WWE Unified Universal Champion Roman Reigns ordered The Usos to go and take the RAW Tag Team Titles from RK-Bro, and bring them to The Bloodline. Reigns is hell-bent on collecting as much gold for The Bloodline as possible after unifying the World Titles at WrestleMania by defeating Brock Lesnar.

On Monday Night RAW, The Usos defeated The Street Profits with RK-Bro at ringside. The pair stared each other down to end the show. Now, after The Usos invaded Monday Night RAW this week, RK-Bro is ready to return the favor. Both teams are extremely hot right now coming out of WrestleMania 38. The Usos successfully defended their SmackDown Live Tag Team Titles against the team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs in the Night One opener.

RK-Bro then retained their titles by topping The Street Profits and Alpha Academy in a Triple Threat Tag match to open up Night Two. With both teams on such a tremendous roll at the moment, including Orton seemingly revitalizing his love for wrestling while working alongside Riddle, an eventual match between the two teams should be a treat to watch.

Make sure to follow along with us at SEScoops tonight for live coverage of tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live from the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

RK-Bro Retains Raw Tag Team Titles At WWE WrestleMania 38

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) put the titles on the line against The Street Profits (Chad Gable & Otis) and Alpha Academy (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) in a triple threat match at WWE WrestleMania 38 event in Dallas, Texas at AT&T Stadium.

The match started off slow and picked up. Orton with back suplexes to Gable and Ford on the announce tables. Dawkins blocked an RKO with a spinebuster to Orton. Riddle hit a spring board RKO to Ford. The finish saw Gable go for a dive off the top rope and Orton hit the RKO for the win.

Post-match, Street Profits and RK-Bro went to celebrate with Gable Steveson, but Gable smacked the cup out of Steveson’s hand. Gable told him told Steveson to shut up and Steveson hit a belly-to-belly suplex.

In early march, RK-Bro regained the Raw Tag Team Titles by defeating Alpha Academy and Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens in a triple threat match where Alpha Academy were the champions. They had won the titles from RK-Bro in January.

The Street Profits confronted RK-Bro on Raw and challenged them to a title match at WrestleMania as they brought up that they had defeated Orton & Riddle in a tag match before RK-Bro won the titles.

Alpha Academy then inserted themselves into the match by interrupting a singles match between Riddle and Ford. They also had a rematch clause.

Riddle Says RK-Bro Was Only Supposed To Last One Night

Matt Riddle said in a recent interview with Mark Andrews that his team with Randy Orton, RK-Bro, was not supposed to be a long term deal. In fact, Riddle says the original plan called for Randy Orton to turn on him the very first night.

“I’ll tell you this, I guess it’s just my luck with tag teams because now I’m tagging with Randy Orton, doing the RK-Bro and bro, same thing happened. It was supposed to be a one — he was supposed to turn on me night one,” Riddle said.

“Like literally, he was supposed to turn on me night one and then Vince and the crowd and everybody liked it so much they’re like, ‘You guys willing to see if this works?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah’ and Randy was like, ‘Yeah, we’re willing to see.’”

“You know, we like working with each other, we’re friendly, it’s been crazy. Randy was gone for three months, I just kept the team afloat. Always talking about Randy. They’re like, ‘Oh man, he’ll be back soon.’ I had no idea when he was coming back.”

Where Is Randy Orton?

Randy Orton
Randy Orton

Randy Orton appears to be taking time away from WWE again, although it is not clear how long he will be gone for. Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that the Viper will be away for “a little while” although the reason for his absence is not clear.

Orton entered into the Royal Rumble match at #29 and only lasted a little over 2 minutes before being eliminated by Brock Lesnar. He then missed this week’s RAW even though he had been scheduled to take part in the scooter race along with Riddle against the Alpha Academy. It’s not clear if Orton will be on RAW next week for the Quiz Bowl with RK-Bro, Chad Gable and Otis.

WWE Delays RK-Bro-Nament Finals Due To Injuries

WWE has announced that its final match in the RK-Bro-Nament has been pushed back.

The Dec. 13 episode of Raw was supposed to feature a tag team match between Rey & Dominik Mysterio and The Street Profits. The winners would’ve been guaranteed a shot at Randy Orton and Matt Riddle for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

As plans will be, plans will go awry.

RK-Bro-Nament Finals Rescheduled

WWE’s Sarah Schreiber has announced that due to injuries on both teams, the mini-tournament has been pushed back to Dec. 27.

“I have some breaking news for you. The finals of the RK-Bro-Nament between Rey and Dominik Mysterio and The Street Profits have been postponed for tonight due to injuries on both set of teams.

“But we have it rescheduled in two weeks to find out who will earn the Raw Tag Team Championship opportunity on December 27th on Monday Night Raw.”

There is no word on exactly who suffered injuries. It should be noted that Montez Ford of The Street Profits did not appear at the house show events this past weekend. His partner, Angelo Dawkins, was in singles action.

Riddle Says Randy Orton Was Upset He Didn’t Get To Ride A Camel At Crown Jewel

As RK-Bro made their ring entrance at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, Riddle rode atop a camel. Orton just walked to the ring as per usual, however. According to comments that Riddle would make recently to Metro UK, his tag-team partner was upset that he didn’t get to ride a camel as well.

“The camel was a good time! I highly recommend, if you haven’t ridden a camel, get yourself a camel, get yourself the opportunity to ride one,” Riddle said.

“You know who wasn’t happy about it though, because they didn’t get to ride a camel either? Randy. Randy wanted to ride a camel and Vince wouldn’t let him,” Riddle continued. “He goes, ‘Randy, that’s not your character, riding a camel.’ He’s like, ‘What does that mean, man?! My character doesn’t ride a camel?!’”

Riddle then says he tried to make his partner feel better about the situation.

“I’m like, ‘Randy, I’m sorry bro, sometimes you’re just not the dude that rides camels.’”

RK-Bro RAW Tag Team Championship Reign

Randy Orton and Matt Riddle won the RAW tag team championships at SummerSlam from AJ Styles and Omos. They then successfully defended the titles against Bobby Lashley and MVP on an episode of WWE RAW. Their second title defense was against the former champions, Styles and Omos, at Crown Jewel when the above mentioned camel riding took place. They’ve since defended the titles a 3rd time on RAW against the Dirty Dawgs team of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

They are the 66th team to win the titles since their inception in 2002. Their victory to win the titles at SummerSlam was the 85th title change in the championships lineage.
