Roman Reigns Praises Baron Corbin, Talks About How John Cena Changed The Game

Roman Reigns had favorable words for his rival Baron Corbin whilst talking with After The Bell host Corey Graves. He talked about how Corbin “rubbed everybody a certain way” including other WWE Superstars, and that he would leverage that for his in-ring work.

“Even with the boys back then he got a reaction,” Reigns said. “He rubbed everybody a certain way, and when he got into the ring, he picked it up. He’s a big guy with good timing.”

Reigns continued, “It’s one of those things, and you’ve seen it a billion times – including likely with me – guys will just get it. There would be a point in time where two left feet just becomes good footwork and it just clicks. In the past couple of years, that transition has happened for him and ever since he cut that hair off and got real stupid and cocky, it started working for him.”

He reflected on how every time Corbin is in the ring, the crowd openly “despises” him. Reigns joked how it makes his job a lot easier because “He makes it so that the crowd wants another guy to come out there and kick his ass.”

“The Big Dog” admitted that there several Superstars ready to break out in the locker room. He stressed how it’s one thing to get into a top position, and another thing entirely to stay there. Reigns pointed to John Cena as a top WWE Superstar who was able to achieve that longevity.

“You can’t just have one good month or one good year. In this day and age, your run has to be pretty significant to really make waves. John Cena changed that whole game for us,” he said.”

“It was a lot different for Rock and Steve [Austin] as it seemed like it was a transition into the next guy. You’ve gotta be able to hold it down for a while because there’s no offseason. The only way to show your value nowadays is through consistency but that’s in everything, not just this business…”

Roman Reigns is scheduled to compete at this year’s Survivor Series event. He is joined by Mustafa Ali, Braun Strowman, King Corbin and Shorty G on Team SmackDown. They face off against both Team RAW and Team NXT on November 24.

Tommaso Ciampa Fires Back At Roman Reigns With Interesting Message

Former WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa had some fun with Roman Reigns on social media.

With WWE incorporating NXT talent at this year’s Survivor Series event, the company did NXT invasion angles on last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Part of WWE doing those angles was due to the majority of the WWE crew being stuck in Saudi Arabia and not being able to make it to the show.

Ciampa took to Twitter with a harsh response to words from Reigns over the weekend. Reigns was one of the top stars who missed SmackDown due to flight delays.

Reigns took to social media where he talked about how NXT stars shouldn’t get too comfortable in his yard. This is when Ciampa responded by disrespecting The Big Dog’s yard in a big way.

Ciampa made another tweet today where he wrote the following:

“If there’s gonna be a war, I know who my first choice is on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and every day in between.”

Continuation of NXT stars being on both RAW and SmackDown is expected to take place over the next few weeks leading up to Survivor Series.

Roman Reigns Apparently Hurt During Live Event

WWE recently confirmed that the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods suffered an injury during Sunday’s Live Event from Sydney but it appears that he is not the only star who got hurt during the night.

The main event of the Sydney show was a tag team steel cage match between the teams of Roman Reigns & Daniel Bryan and Luke Harper & Erick Rowan and fans in attendance noted that Roman appeared to have suffered some damage during the match.

Fans noted that the former World Champion took a bump between the cage wall and the ropes during the bout. While he did finish the match, Reigns appeared to be hurting on his way back to the ramp.

The Big Dog also signaled a medic and a WWE Official about his injury and the two spoke to him as the former Shield member made his way to the backstage area.

Xavier Woods also suffered an injury while competing in a tag team match at the show and WWE has since confirmed that he suffered an Achilles injury and due to it he will not be able to complete the current tour of Australia.

However, so far WWE has not acknowledged Reigns’ injury officially and there have been no other updates on the matter either so it’s hard to say if it’s serious. We’ll keep you posted on his status.

Roman Reigns On Possible Singles Match With The Rock

Roman Reigns recently had an interview with TVinsider to promote the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game releasing on October 22 and the former World Champion discussed a number of things during his interview.

We are almost 6 months away from WrestleMania but fans have already started speculating about the possible bouts on the show and one of the most interesting matches which have been rumored is between Roman Reigns and The Rock.

When asked about possibly stepping foot inside the ring with the Great One, Reigns said that they would do well as a tag team but fans would have to be overwhelming about it if they want to see a one on one encounter between them:

“It would have to be something the fans are just overwhelming about, they have to make it very clear this is the matchup they want. Then we have to take into account our family and the way that affects us and the way we’d tell our story.”

During the interview, Roman also talked about being around the People’s Champion and learning from him, saying that he is a wealth of knowledge and a great person to rely on.

Apart from this, Roman Reigns also talked about Becky Lynch being the cover star of WWE 2K20, his leukemia diagnosis and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Roman Reigns vs Shinsuke Nakamura Booked For Smackdown

Roman Reigns will challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Intercontinental championship this Friday on SmackDown. A short build to the match occurred today on Twitter.

Earlier today, Sami Zayn noted on Twitter that he and Nakamura were drafted in the third round and lamented that they should have been picked ahead of Roman Reigns.

Reigns then responded to Zayn’s tweets with the following challenge.

Not long after Roman Reigns issued the challenge, Nakamura responded and invited the big dog to come into his yard.

WWE then confirmed the match will take place on Friday:

Roman Reigns vs Shinsuke Nakamura

This will be the first time that Roman Reigns and Nakamura have ever wrestled each other in singles competition. The only time the two have been in the same match together was the 2018 men’s Royal Rumble match. Nakamura won the Rumble that year.

As of this writing, Nakamura has been the Intercontinental champion for 95 days. He first won the title on the Extreme Rules 2019 kickoff show from Finn Balor. He’s defended the title twice on WWE programming. The first time against Ali on the WWE Network Smackville special this summer and then most recently at Clash of Champions against The Miz.

Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch & Other WWE Superstars Offer Advice To Unhappy Fans

Several WWE Superstars including Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Luke Gallows and Drew McIntyre recently spoke with Forbes‘ Brian Mazique. They were asked to share their thoughts about fan opinions, and how they feel regarding the backlash a lot of WWE programming has been receiving.

Roman Reigns addressed the negative reaction to the main event of WWE’s recent Hell in a Cell pay-per-view between WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt. The match ended in a referee stoppage.

“I think you should express your opinions, but it doesn’t hurt anybody if you have a shred of respect,” Reigns said. “Have a little respect for the performers who were out there killing themselves for you. I didn’t like the Hell in a Cell finish either, but I wasn’t about to cuss some guys out who got hit in the head over and over. Bray Wyatt put his health on the line to entertain some fans to the best of his ability. I didn’t like it, but I respect Bray’s effort and willingness to go out there and do what you have to do. So, if you can, just a little bit of respect.”

RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch added, “It’s hard being a wrestling fan sometimes. We’re all just going out there doing our best to entertain you guys. We care about you guys. We want you to enjoy yourselves and it hurts when you don’t like it. We feel your pain. We’re all in this together. I’ll do all I can. Just tune into my Twitter. I’ll be entertaining there.”

“If You Love Wrestling, Just Let It Play Out”

O.C. member, Luke Gallows, also spoke about the Hell in a Cell main event. He recommended that fans try to just enjoy the product and that they should trust that Vince McMahon knows what he’s doing.

“There are 52 weeks of episodic television,” Gallows stated. “There was controversy over the pay-per-view (HIAC) the other night. Guys, the story continues on Monday. It continues on Wednesday, Friday, and then on and on. My advice would be to enjoy it. In a movie, there has to be an antagonist. There has to be a negative to turn into a positive. So, in my opinion, if you like what we do, it’ll turn out the way you want it to. We’re in a culture of complainers.”

He continued, “[…] I think you just have to let the story play out. WWE has been in business for how long? The company has been master storytellers. Vince [McMahon] obviously knows what he’s doing. There’s got be a reason for certain things that happen. If you love wrestling, just let it play out.”

Drew McIntyre offered that society seems to be obsessed with living in a negative culture. He pointed to social media as a tool that allows people to wallow in their negativity.

“It’s like every aspect of life, people are very negative,” McIntyre said. “You see them complain on social media. When I was younger, I became complacent and deserved to get fired. Because I forgot I was living a dream. You have to realize, you can’t always be in the lead. If you work hard, you’ll get your opportunity. Look at Chad Gable. He’s getting his opportunity. I don’t remember seeing him on social media every minute saying, ‘I’m not getting the opportunity I deserve, brother.’ He just worked hard until he got it.”

Roman Reigns Calls R Truth One Of The Greatest Of All Time

Former World Champion Roman Reigns recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated where he offered some high praise to the current 24/7 Champion R Truth.

While the initial reactions to the introduction of the 24/7 title were largely negative, Truth along with some other stars have turned the championship in one of the most interesting things on WWE television in the past few months.

Talking about the Raw Star, Reigns revealed that R Truth, real name Ronnie Killings is one of his best friends and he went on to say that he is happy to see the recognition the current champion is getting for his work with WWE’s newest title:

“Ronnie is my best friend. He’s right there with the Usos, he’s like blood to me, we’ve been tight for a long time, and he’s one of the greatest of all-time.

I know our very passionate, hardcore fans are very familiar with his talent and they’ve seen his body of work, but it just makes me so happy that everyone is getting to see it now, Truth can be silly, he can be serious, he can do it all. “

Roman Reigns also talked about getting back up from leukemia saying he had people in life who helped him when he got knocked out and he is going to do the same.

Roman has been involved in a feud with Erick Rowan in recent times but their rivalry seemingly concluded at the Hell In A Cell PPV and currently, there is no word yet on what the company is planning for his future.

Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns With Big Draft Stakes Set For WWE SmackDown

The first match has been announced for WWE Friday Night SmackDown and it’s a big one as it will involve top talent.

Universal Champion Seth Rollins (representing RAW) faces Roman Reigns (representing SmackDown) in the opening match. The winner will earn the first overall pick for the corresponding brand.

This has been the only confirmed match for this show, which is expected to be loaded as it kicks off the latest Draft of the company.

It also marks Rollins’ first match since the controversial finish in his latest match. This contest took place the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event.

This is where Rollins retained his Universal Title over Bray Wyatt. The contest ended in a match stoppage once Rollins hit Wyatt in the head with a sledgehammer.

Details On WWE Draft Rules, Several Celebrities Confirmed

The draft will start on the SmackDown episode in Las Vegas on Friday, October 11. It will continue for RAW as the second night of the draft will then take place on Monday, October 14 in Denver.

The reason behind doing the draft is a way to freshen up both shows both with talent and in other ways during October.

This is a way to capitalize on the exposure as it’s the second episode of SmackDown on FOX.

Roman Reigns Talks Seth Rollins Rubbing Fans The Wrong Way With His Comments

Roman Reigns recently spoke about WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins while doing an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated

This comes just days removed from the backlash over how Rollins’ match with Bray Wyatt ended at WWE Hell in a Cell.

“There is a lot to being the face of WWE,” said Reigns. “It’s not only about being in the ring. It’s about how you represent, and that is a 24-7, 365 job. You’ve got to be on all the time for 52 weeks a year. But I’m telling you now, my brother is legit.”

Bully Ray Breaks Down Seth Rollins Vs Bray Wyatt From Hell In A Cell

Reigns brought up how proud of Rollins he was after beating Brock Lesnar for the strap at SummerSlam. He brought up Rollins having a rough week where the Twitter machine and the Internet went nuts on him but praised him for being able to bounce back and answer the call.

Reigns noted that Rollins was “born for professional wrestling” but admits that Rollins can be blunt sometimes, which makes it rub people the wrong way.

The reason for that is due to Rollins loving WWE and people can misread some of the things he says or the ways he delivers it.

“He’s a workhorse. Yeah, he’s a little live at the mouth sometimes, but he’s got a heart of gold, trust me. Whether he’s on Raw or SmackDown, the WWE is in good hands with him as champion.”

Most notably, Rollins got into a public exchange with Will Ospreay this year that upset fans over Rollins bragging about having more money in his bank account.

Daniel Bryan Releases Statement Regarding Roman Reigns Attacks

Daniel Bryan has released a statement to WWE.com regarding the recent attacks on Roman Reigns. At one point, Bryan had been claiming that a person who looked much like Erick Rowan was to blame for the attacks but now Bryan is pointing the finger at the real Rowan.

Bryan’s statement reads as follows:

“Roman Reigns speared me last week and I understand his frustration. I know how it looks. I know a lot of people don’t like me and I know I seem guilty by association, but that doesn’t make me a liar. Erick Rowan is the one to blame and I have had nothing to do with this. Therefore, I still deserve an apology from Roman Reigns.”

Reigns released footage live on Smackdown last week which appeared to show Rowan walking away from the scene of one of the attacks.

Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan have met 3x in single’s matches on WWE programming not including house show events. They met twice in 2013 with each wrestler winning once via DQ. Bryan and Reigns wouldn’t meet again until 2015, when Reigns defeated Bryan in a a match for the #1 Contendership to the WWE World Heavyweight title at Fastlane 2015.

Roman Reigns On If There Is A Way To Prepare For WrestleMania Main Event

Roman Reigns recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated to promote the upcoming WWE 2K20 Video game where he talked about a number of things.

Reigns first discussed being the cover star of the latest edition of the WWE game with Becky Lynch and said that sharing the cover with her makes the experience even more special.

Talking about Becky’s achievement including her recent WrestleMania main event with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair, the Big Dog claimed that Lynch was phenomenal and that her larger than life character motivates him.

Roman, who is no stranger to WrestleMania main events himself, was then asked if there is any way to prepare for such a bout and the former Champion said that you are going to have the doubts and insecurities until you get through it:

“You have those nerves, you have those doubts and insecurities, all until you get through it, then you’re never the same again. You’re a main-eventer for the rest of your life.”

He went on to say that in that position you are going to fight for everything and the moment and the experience you get from such a match cannot be replaced.

Roman Reigns’ rise to main event status began in 2014. He then went on to main event the 4 WrestleMania’s which followed starting from WrestleMania 31, before his leukemia forced him to stay out of action during the early WrestleMania season this year.

Due to his absence, the storylines that were planned for the former Universal Champion were dropped and this opened the opportunity for other stars to take over the spot.

Becky Lynch was one such star who rose to the occasion. Her heel turn at SummerSlam last year led to her becoming one of the hottest stars in the company and this resulted in her main eventing this year’s edition of the Show Of Shows.

Roman Reigns talks about the possibility of WWE fans turning on him again

WWE Confirms Roman Reigns’ New Contract, Reigns Comments

Earlier this week, we published a report that Roman Reigns has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. The company has since confirmed the news and provided a quote from Roman Reigns himself

WWE released a short press release on their official website and confirmed that the Big Dog has signed a multi-year contract to stay with them:

“The Big Dog is here to stay. Roman Reigns has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE. Reigns is one of WWE’s most decorated Superstars, having held the WWE, Universal, Intercontinental, United States and Tag Team Championships during his career. Earlier this year, Reigns won the first-ever WWE Moment ESPY after his return to the ring from battling leukemia.”

Reigns also commented on his new contract after the news was made official and he sent out a tweet claiming that he has plenty of big fights left:

Roman Reigns Staying With WWE

There is no word yet on the length of Roman Reigns’ new contract but since AEW has started scouting talents, WWE has been trying to secure stars with 4 to 5 years deal.

However, for a big star like Roman who has been built as the next face of the company, it’s possible that the extension is even longer.

Reigns is currently involved in a mystery attacker storyline and we are expected to see a major progress in the angle next week.

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw Buddy Murphy accepting that he lied about Rowan being the attacker. Daniel Bryan then promised to reveal the real culprit behind the attacks on next weeks’ episode of the show.

Roman Reigns Signs New Multi-Year WWE Contract

Roman Reigns isn’t going anywhere as he is locked down with WWE for the near future.

According to a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, “The Big Dog” recently inked a new WWE contract. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how long the deal is for but was noted as a multi-year deal.

It’s no secret that WWE has been re-signing talents to four and five year contracts as of late with the launch of All Elite Wrestling and their weekly television show on TNT this October.

Roman Reigns reportedly signed the new contract in July. Other stars who have recently signed new WWE deals have reportedly got double the money to stay with WWE.

Reigns, who is currently a member of the SmackDown brand, continues to be a top star for the company. He returned to action back in February from his second battle with leukemia back in February.

Recently, WWE put him in a storyline where he was attacked by a mystery person that led to him getting into a brief feud with Buddy Murphy, Rowan, and Daniel Bryan.

This has set up a match between the two stars on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live. It’s been reported that this storyline will lead to a match between Reigns and Bryan.

Daniel Bryan Lashes Out At Accusations Against Rowan

Last night on Smackdown, Roman Reigns confronted Blake Murphy in regards to the recent attacks he has faced. After being shoved against the wall, Murphy implicated Rowan as having been at the scene.

WWE.com correspondents recently caught up with Daniel Bryan and asked him about Murphy implicating Rowan in the attacks. Footage of the interaction was posted as a WWE.com exclusive:

Daniel Bryan On Murphy Implicating Rowan

“This is typical media spin, this is typical media spin. And I like how you guys don’t try to put any of the blame on Roman Reings. What happened when Roman Reigns asked Buddy Murphy, what happened? What did he say he saw? He said he saw no one and only when he had his head forced against the wall by Roman Reigns did he say anything about Rowan,” Bryan said.

“What would you do if I pinned your head to the wall and I said you couldn’t leave until you gave me a name? I guarantee you, you would give me a name. I don’t know Buddy Murphy, I don’t care about Roman Reigns, all I know is Rowan has nothing to do with this.”

Roman Reigns Warns Rowan After SmackDown Revelation

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw Roman Reigns finally finding out his mystery attacker during the main event segment of the show.

The main event of this week’s episode of the show was a match between the team of Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan and the New Day which ended with the team of Big E and Xavier Woods picking up a disqualification win.

After the match was over, the cameras cut to the locker room area where Roman Reigns confronted Buddy Murphy, asking him if he knows about the attacker.

While Murphy initially refused to answer Reigns, the Big Dog was finally able to get a name out of him after attacking the 205 Live Star.

The name Buddy Murphy revealed was of Erick Rowan and the episode ended with Daniel Bryan and Rowan standing in the ring, watching these events unfold.

After the show went off air, Roman Reigns took on his Twitter account and commented on the development, saying that he will have no problem beating an apology out of Rowan:

WWE has already been advertising Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan for several Live Events after SummerSlam and the latest developments only support the reports of this rivalry.

Though so far the company hasn’t announced any match for either Reigns or Bryan at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV. With only days remaining to the show, we’ll have to wait and see if these two get a spot on the card of the event.

Roman Reigns On If He Will Be Mad If Fans Started Booing Him Again

Roman Reigns has been a polarizing figure for the majority of his WWE career. However, things have changed in the past year. Since his return after successful cancer treatment, the Big Dog has been getting a more positive response from the crowd.

During a recent interview with Sport1, the former World Champion talked about a number of things, including Becky Lynch, the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game and more.

When asked if he will be mad if fans started booing him again, Reigns responded negatively, saying that they have paid their money so they can do whatever they want to do:

“Nah, I don’t care what they do in this case. They paid their money – their hard-earned money – to get to the show. They can do what they wanna do. Everybody’s situation is different, we enjoy every way our fans are expressing themselves. As long as you make noise, it doesn’t matter to me if it’s cheers or boos.”

Roman continued with his explanation and said that it doesn’t matter if it’s cheers or boos as long as the crowd is making noise. The last thing he wants is silence.

Apart from this, Roman Reigns also discussed being a locker room leader, the evolution of wrestling and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Samoa Joe Comments On Helping Roman Reigns After Hit & Run

Samoa Joe was rushing out to the parking area to confront Roman Reigns last night when a car narrowly avoided hitting Roman in a hit-and-run incident. It was the second straight narrow escape from disaster for Roman, who was almost crushed by falling steel beams on Smackdown last week.

When RAW returned back from commercial, Samoa Joe could be seen helping Roman and calling for a medic. WWE.com caught up with Joe and asked him why he helped Roman after the incident.

Samoa Joe On Why He Helped Roman Reigns

Joe as asked what was going through his head after seeing the car almost hit Roman.

“A lot of things. One of them, some of the fans out there were so quick to point a finger at me,” Joe said. “One of them is, I’m known to bend the rules, to take things to a leval that may be uncomfortable, but that is something different. It needs to be dealt with differently.”

“What are my thoughts?” Joe continued. “My thoughts are, I hope somebody finds who’s doing what they’re doing before I find them. My thoughts are don’t doubt me because who was the first guy out there pulling Roman out of the wreckage?”

Roman Reigns Thinks Seth Rollins Was Being Generous By Calling AEW Competition

Roman Reigns recently spoke to SPORT1 in Germany where he discussed a wide range of topics including AEW (All Elite Wrestling).

The question was asked if he thought AEW is competition. This is when he brought up previous comments made by Seth Rollins when talking about Jon Moxley and how he’s now a competitor due to him being in a different promotion.

“I think [Seth Rollins] is being generous in calling them a competition. I don’t want to get too deep into this […], I said it before: It’s an option and that’s great for professional wrestlers, pretty cool for fans.”

Reigns continued by stating that before his family was WWE only they were a territorial family. Thus, he understands that people had to move and work with different promotions and territories.

He stated that he’s always going to be a pro wrestler but at the end of the day, WWE is his home. This is because it’s what he represents.

“You can see it in other shows: It’s not easy to have a clean production, you have to have a lot of experience. Our talent is top-notch, we’ve got main eventers for day, but it also is our crew.”

Reigns continued by noting that their crew works hard to get shows up and running as there are many people that make this place work. Thus, when he sees other promotions trying to do the same then he thinks fans see the flaws and it makes them respect what they do even more.

Reigns ended by noting that it’s easy to complain but at the end of the day, “Nobody will do it like WWE. Period.”

The AEW All Out pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out.

Roman Reigns Disagrees With Jon Moxley’s WWE Creative Comments

ESPN has released an article with Roman Reigns following the news that he’ll be on the cover of WWE 2K20 alongside WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

Reigns was asked about the critical comments made by Seth Rollins on social media and interviews towards fans as well as Jon Moxley’s comments after leaving WWE over him being unhappy in the company.

Reigns talked about how Rollins is an emotional person because he’s passionate about WWE.

“I love this place. I’ll tell you straight-up: I disagree with what [Dean] Ambrose said about the creative process. I love the guy. I love him to death. He’s my brother. And wrestling ain’t gonna stop that.”

Jon Moxley: “Vince Is The Problem”

“The Big Dog” brought up how on a personal level, he and Moxley can hang out and just talk about various things then they go through periods where they don’t talk. That’s just their relationship.

He continued by bringing up how the key to the creative process in WWE all comes down to communication and that there are instances where talent needs to let their boss know how they feel about a storyline or angle.

He stated that talent works hard for the company and Vince McMahon respects that so he wants to know their opinions. He added that he’s now in a spot where McMahon listens to everything he has to say.

Staying Friends

Reigns talked about how when talent is first on the roster they don’t have any equity with McMahon and do what he says but over time, you will earn equity with him then get the keys to the car. Reigns thinks Ambrose was in that top spot and have the right to speak up for himself and do what’s right for him.

“Regardless, I love the dude, man. We came from the bottom and got to where we are now, and he’s a huge part of that. No type of business rivalry or any of that crap will ever affect the personal relationship I have with either Seth or Dean. We’re all gonna do our thing. We’re having fun. I’m enjoying where I’m at. I enjoy being with the WWE. I’ll never be anywhere else.”

Since his departure from WWE, Moxley has signed deals with AEW (All Elite Wrestling) and NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling). He is currently the IWGP United States Champion under the NJPW banner.

Moxley is slated to take on Kenny Omega in a singles match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event that takes place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL, which has already sold out.

Although WWE has yet to officially announce Reigns’ opponent at SummerSlam, he does have a match booked and it will likely be announced on SmackDown Live this Tuesday.

Drew McIntyre Releases Statement On Roman Reigns Incident

Drew McIntyre has taken to social media to release a statement regarding what happened in the closing moments of last Tuesday’s Smackdown. Roman Reigns had been scheduled to make a challenge for a match at SummerSlam in the closing segment but a bunch of steal beams ended up falling in his direction, almost crushing the multi-time world champion underneath.

WWE would later issue a statement that the incident was due to “forklift driver error.” This explanation hasn’t satisfied some who feel that there might actually be a WWE Superstar behind what happened, however.

Drew’s statement can be viewed below:

Drew McIntyre Statement On Roman Reigns Incident

“Even though they couldn’t get the job done, this whole Roman Reigns situation has become something of a ‘Who done it?'” said McIntyre. “Was it Drew McIntyre? Was it Elias? Could it be Ric Flair? Maybe it was Ryan Shamrock? My god, it could be Eric Bischoff’s new assistant, you know? The one with the peg leg? Does this all sound ridiculous to you?”

McIntyre then continued to say that WWE contacted him and asked him to make a video professing his innocence.

“I’m going to put this to bed right now,” McIntyre continued before giving 5 reasons as to why he is not the person who attacked Roman:

“1. I don’t give a damn.
2. I wouldn’t have missed.
3. I really don’t give a damn.
4. Has anyone watched the product the past, I don’t know, 5,6,7 months? I love beating up Roman Reigns and bragging about it, and I would do it to his face.
5. Do you see those damns floating around that I give? No you don’t, because there aint any.”
