A video of Roman Reigns laughing while in a Kevin Owens headlock went viral this week and Reigns responded, taking the time to crack a joke at how much money Owens makes off merchandise. Below is the video and Reigns’ response:
John Cena was watching and apparently didn’t approve of Reigns’ tweet poking fun at Owens’ pay. Cena wrote, “While @WWERomanReigns was making fun of what people earn I was at @GeorgiaTechFB to #EarnTheDay #recognize”
WrestleMania rumor season is picking up and according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena vs. The Undertaker and a multi-woman match for the RAW Women’s Championship are new probable matches.
In regards to Cena vs. Undertaker, Vince McMahon has not decided on the match but it’s being considered. Another opponent being discussed for Taker is Roman Reigns but there’s a feeling that Reigns is the future of the company while Cena vs. Taker doesn’t do anything for the future. This could be Taker’s last match and the last chance to do Taker vs. Reigns on the big stage.
With Reigns and Cena both receiving championship shots at the Royal Rumble, it’s possible Taker gets a Universal Championship or WWE Championship shot at WrestleMania. That would indicate Taker having a spot in the Royal Rumble main event
The Observer noted that Braun Strowman, who is another favorite to win the Rumble, could end up facing Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens looks to be another WrestleMania match but The Observer reports that as of this week, only three matches are considered to be a lock for the big event:
-Triple H vs. Seth Rollins
-Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar
-Big Show vs. Shaq
With less than 100 days until WrestleMania 33, WWE officials have not locked down plans for current US Champion Roman Reigns.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that several ideas are being discussed but nothing has been finalized. One idea involved a huge surprise and while Meltzer did not elaborate on that surprise, he did say it likely won’t be happening.
There’s been speculation on WWE doing another big coronation with Reigns and the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania but that is not one of the ideas being discussed. Meltzer speculated that the coronation may come at the Royal Rumble, where Reigns will face Universal Champion Kevin Owens with Chris Jericho hanging above the ring in a shark cage.
The WWE released a video where Superstars revealed what they wanted for Christmas.
The WWE also released a Love Actually parody starring The Miz and Maryse.
Bill Goldberg has been a key figure in the WWE this year. He demolished Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in less than 90 seconds. Goldberg went on to announce that he will be a part of this year’s Royal Rumbe and that he believes that he has one more title reign left in him. Most people remember Goldberg for his run in WCW. He was dominant there and it took Scott Hall using a stun gun on Goldberg for him to lose a match. Since Goldberg is back in the WWE, I thought it would be a good time to point out the best work of his career.
Goldberg has always been dominant in the ring, but was he dominant on the big screen? Eleven years ago, a Christmas film was released that changed the world. It wasn’t your ordinary Christmas film. It starred a professional wrestler as Santa Claus. I know, Hulk Hogan already made Santa With Muscles but this film was different. It was Bill Goldberg, an American hero, as an evil Santa Claus. It was called Santa’s Slay and remains one of the best/worst films of all time.

It is almost 2017 and people are coming up with their New Year’s resolution. Hopefully the WWE’s New Year’s resolution is to make Monday Night Raw great again. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, whatever you are celebrating this time of year I hope it is awesome. Roadblock: End of The Line takes place from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
You may have noticed that the main event on Raw brand WWE live events at the moment is Roman Reigns defending his WWE United States Championship against WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens. Reigns is winning clean in the middle every night, retaining his title while getting decisive wins over the WWE Universal Champion. To some, beating the world champion clean every night doesn’t sound like a great idea, so a number of fans have been curious as to WWE’s reasoning for this move.
On this past weekend’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio for F4WOnline.com subscribers, Dave Meltzer laid out exactly what’s going on. Essentially, WWE wanted Owens-Reigns to be the main Raw house show program, and rightfully so, as it hasn’t been overdone on television and pay-per-view yet. The problem, though, is that WWE prefers to have the babyface win on house shows, as they are about a night of family fun that doesn’t really count in WWE television continuity. So as not to disqualification or count-out non-finishes in every main event around the horn, the main events were made as U.S. Championship matches to protect the Universal Championship, if not the champion.
Roman Reigns took to Twitter this week and responded to a fan who doesn’t like how he carries the WWE United States Championship. You can see their exchange below. Reigns responded and said it’s not about how you hold the title, it’s about how you defend it.
@WWERomanReigns Just watched RAW, and it seems disrespectful to me the way to carry a title belt like a book bag. Show more respect for it
Reigns also had an exchange with a fan who asked when he will be as phenomenal as WWE World Champion AJ Styles. As seen below, Reigns cited his two wins over Styles:
United States Champion Roman Reigns has been pulled from the current WWE European tour, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. Reigns did not work Thursday’s house show in Vienna. He had been defending the US title against Rusev on the tour, but Rusev wrestled (and lost to) Big Cass in Vienna instead.
Meltzer says Reigns has been pulled and will not be on any shows for the rest of the week but he is not injured and has not failed a Wellness test. Meltzer said Reigns is fine and there’s nothing to be concerned about.
Reigns is scheduled to be part of Team RAW at Survivor Series and will challenge Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in the main event of December’s RAW-exclusive Roadblock pay-per-view.
Was pulled off the rest of the tour. won't be at any shows rest of week. Don't know reason but not an injury. https://t.co/waigyZNhgq

After his successful United States Championship defense at Hell in a Cell, Roman Reigns stated his intention to pursue a second championship. On the RAW Talk post-show, Reigns said, “I’ve got two shoulders, God made them broad. I’ve got one strap, I’m looking for another.”
According to a report by F4wonline.com, Reigns will get his shot later this year when he is slotted to feud with Universal Champion Kevin Owens.
The current plan is for Reigns to work with Owens after Survivor Series, with the two likely facing off in the main event of December’s Roadblock PPV (12/18) from Pittsburgh, PA.
Discussion: What do you think about the planned Reigns vs. Owens feud and Roman Reigns already returning to the ‘world’ title picture on RAW?

– You knew Roman Reigns wouldn’t be satisfied with ‘only’ the United States Championship forever. After a successful title defense against Rusev at last night’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, Reigns appeared on the new RAW Talk post-show and gave a hint about what’s next for him. Reigns stated that he’s got ‘two shoulders’ and plans to succeed where Seth Rollins failed last night – referencing Kevin Owens’ WWE Universal Championship.
– After last night’s Hell In A Cell broadcast ended, fans at the TD Garden Arena reported that Charlotte walked straight backstage with her new Women’s Championship belt, while Sasha Banks sold her injuries in the ring. Banks eventually got up and was helped to the back to a large ovation from her hometown crowd.
– While they did not appear in the ring during tonight’s RAW from Minneapolis, Rusev and WWE US Champion Roman Reigns worked the post-show dark main event. Reigns won the match. The two will face off at Sunday’s Hell In a Cell PPV inside the Cell.
– WWE has announced non-title matches with Universal Champion Kevin Owens taking on Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat, and Tag Team Champions The New Day taking on Cesaro and Sheamus.

– As seen on RAW, Bill Goldberg returned to WWE TV for the first time in more than 12 years and accepted the challenge for a rematch against Brock Lesnar. In the video below, Goldberg is in no mood for questions after being asked what he thinks about Lesnar being on RAW next week to respond:

– Retired WWE Superstar Tyson Kidd posted the following on Twitter, showing off how far he’s come since undergoing surgery last year for a life-threatening broken neck.
Roman Reigns will defend his United States Championship against Rusev inside Hell in a Cell later this month. The match was made on RAW after Lana issued the challenge to Reigns on behalf of her husband. Reigns told Lana to have Rusev issue the challenge to his face, which brought out the Bulgarian Brute. The two men brawled, with Rusev ultimately getting the upper hand. Rusev took possession of the United States championship and held it high on the stage, but Reigns snuck up from behind and laid him out with a Superman punch. Reigns accepted the challenge of Lana and Rusev, but said the match will take place inside the demonic structure in less than 4 weeks.
The RAW brand’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view takes place on Sunday, October 30th from Boston, MA.
Prior to capturing the United States Championship from Rusev at Sunday’s WWE Clash of Champions PPV, Roman Reigns spoke with Inquirer.net about The Shield. Reigns says the trio helped pave the way for the current “New Era” of WWE.
“It’s not talked about too often because of NXT and how big that product became and just the wave of new talent from NXT. It really shined through. But something a lot of people missed was The Shield is actually kind of the beginning of the new era. We kind of paved the road and took the bumps and made this process a lot smoother for those guys as well.”
“We had to deal with the older guys who had been here, rooted in, and had the system their way. And we came in and did a good job of leading those in the new generation. People could say what they want, but no matter what, the three members of The Shield will lead the way.”
Reigns also did not rule out a possible reunion with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the future. He said:
“I think those guys have a deep love and respect for what The Shield did for us and what it represents. For me, there are times I miss it, the six-man matches were having, the tag team matches, it seemed like were doing it every night with the new cast on the other side, but it’s really good every single time. For me, that’s a good place to learn and grow and push myself to be ready for the spot I’m in right now. As The Shield, we felt like we dominated the main event and we’re still doing that. We’re very proud of that.”
“I would never say never. I think we’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s going to take something drastic, something huge in the WWE to bring The Shield back. I think nothing’s impossible in the WWE. As we always say, stay tuned.”
