Ronda Rousey Says Why She Won’t Watch Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier

When WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, and UFC Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier, clash in the octagon, Ronda Rousey will not be watching.

TMZ reporters recently caught up with the new UFC Hall of Fame inductee. When asked, Rousey said she will probably not watch the heavyweight clash between her two friends.

Ronda Rousey on Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier

“Both of them are friends of mine so I don’t really want to pick sides,” Rousey said. “I can’t get involved on that one. That one will be hard to watch, I probably won’t watch.”

Rousey double-down on her comments and reiterated she wouldn’t enjoy watching either of her friends get hit.

“I hate watching friends of mine fight,” she said. “It’s heart-wrenching.”

Ronda Rousey on WWE Hall of Fame

Rousey was on her way home from the UFC festivities this weekend when reporters caught up with her. Rousey was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame this weekend and reporters asked her about the possibility of someday being inducted into WWE’s version.

“I don’t know, that’s up to them,” Rousey said. “I think I would have to put in a whole lot more work to be worthy of an honor like that.”

When asked if the WWE Hall of Fame was her next goal, Rousey responded, “We’ll see, I’m trying my best,” Rousey continued. “The best I can do is the best I can do.”

With Daniel Cormier winning the UFC Heavyweight Championship this weekend, Rousey was asked if she felt he is the greatest fighter in the world right now.

“I think right now, (Daniel Cormier’s) the best in the game right now,” Rousey said. “Olympic team captain, you don’t get that kind of position for nothing.”

Rousey is currently serving a 30-day suspension from Monday Night Raw. Despite the suspension, Rousey has purchased a front row ticket and will be present this Sunday at Extreme Rules.

Last week’s RAW featured Dr. Shelby making his return to WWE TV as he tried to help Banks and Bayley work out their issues with one another by being their counselor. He became popular with WWE fans him from his work with Team Hell No several years ago.

As seen on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in Boston, MA at the TD Garden on the USA Network, part 2 of this segment aired on the flagship show of the WWE but Shelby didn’t appear. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on why he didn’t appear on the show.

Ronda Rousey Works WWE Live Event In Philadelphia (Video)

WWE has really started to get the ball rolling with Ronda Rousey’s singles career inside the squared circle.

“The Rowdy One” challenged for the RAW Women’s Championship at the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) against Nia Jax. Unfortunately for Rousey, just when it seemed she had the match won, Ms. MITB Alexa Bliss attacked both Rousey and Jax before cashing in her briefcase and leaving Chicago RAW Women’s Champion.

The following night on RAW, Rousey attacked Bliss and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle out of frustration. She was subsequently handed a thirty day suspension from RAW. But, as Rousey pointed out, she is only suspended from RAW and will be at the Extreme Rules PPV as she bought a ticket to witness Bliss defend her title against Jax.

Rousey has also been competing in house shows, as she was in Philadelphia last night (Fri. July 6, 2018) and went one-on-one with Nia Jax with Alexa Bliss as a Special Guest Referee. This was one day after Rousey was inducted into the UFC Hall Of Fame for International Fight Week.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion won her match in Philadelphia and the same bout is being advertised for tonight’s show at Madison Square Garden:

Rousey On Shark Week

The Baddest Women on the Planet is tackling her next challenge, sharks!

In the special, Rousey will set out to test her courage and prove that the mentality that made her an Olympic medalist, UFC Hall of Famer and WWE Superstar will allow her to stare down any opponent, whether on land or at sea.

She’ll dive into the ocean, guided by former Navy diver and shark attack survivor Paul de Gelder, who will coach her through three rounds of survival training against the heavyweights of the sea, including the fearsome bull shark. That builds up to a historic main event, where Rousey will attempt to step outside the cage to face one of the sea’s ultimate predators – the mako shark.

Rousey will be taking on the sharks on the Discovery Channel on July 22.

Update On Ronda Rousey’s Schedule, Natalya On Bret Hart’s Birthday

Update On Ronda Rousey’s Schedule

Ronda Rousey’s schedule has been changing constantly ever since the General Manager Kurt Angle decided to suspend the former UFC Star for her actions at Raw 2 weeks ago.

At one point she was pulled but then added again to the July 16th episode of Monday Night Raw. However, she has again been removed from the episode and is not being advertised for either July 9th or July 16th episode of the Red Branded Show now.

Though it’s worth mentioning here that Rousey is still expected to appear on Live Events from July 6th to 8th and if we believe the Raw Star then she will be present at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV on July 15th as well.

Natalya On Bret Hart’s Birthday

July 2nd was the birthday of former World Champion Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and on the occasion, WWE posted a video featuring Natalya.

In the video, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion recalled the things her uncle Bret has done for her and remembered how he was at ringside for her match against Charlotte at NXT Takeover in 2014.

She also talked about how much it meant to her that the former Champion showed up for her bout at Payback 2016 despite the fact that he was going through a rough time.

In the end, the female star wished Bret Hart the best birthday ever from everyone in WWE. You can check out her comments in the video below:

Ronda Rousey Says She Will Be At WWE Extreme Rules (Video)

Ronda Rousey has vowed to be at WWE Extreme Rules.

It’s well known by now Rousey attacked Alexa Bliss on a recent episode of RAW and was later “suspended” for 30 days as a result of her actions. This comes off the fact that Rousey beat Nia Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event once Bliss attacked Rousey.

After the match, Bliss cashed in her MITB contract to win the title from Jax. WWE has already announced that Bliss will make her next title defense against Jax at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV event.

WWE’s YouTube channel has uploaded this short interview with Rousey where she spoke about her suspension and when she will return to WWE television.

Regarding her suspension, she noted that she respects Kurt Angle’s decision to suspend her because he has to uphold the rules but she doesn’t regret her actions and would do it again if she had the chance.

On the Bliss vs Jax match, Rousey noted that she is so excited to see that match that she will be buying a ticket in the front row to watch it.

Latest On Ronda Rousey’s WWE Schedule, WWE Money In The Bank Timing Note

An update on the schedule for Ronda Rousey as well as a note on the timing of WWE Money in the Bank has surfaced.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that days before the Money in the Bank show, the media was told that the goal was a 10:30 p.m. finish, which would also be for all PPV events going forward aside from Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

Thus, it would give WWE a cushion to go to 11 p.m. The PPV event ended up going off the air at 11:20 p.m. It was noted that at one point, the plan was for Alexa Bliss to cash-in her MITB briefcase at the end of the show, which means that Rousey vs. Nia Jax for the RAW Women’s Title would have been the main event.

Switching gears to Rousey’s schedule, there have been some changes.

As noted, Rousey attacked Bliss on a recent episode of RAW and was later “suspended” for 30 days as a result of her actions. Rousey is expected to be back on television next month to start the build for her match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

WWE has yet to officially announce when Rousey would wrestle Bliss but the expectation is that this match will happen sooner rather than later.

Meltzer noted that she is off the July 9th episode of RAW in Boston. Although at one point she was pulled from the July 16th show in Buffalo, she is back to working that event.

What’s interesting is that she is still scheduled to appear at the July 15th PPV event in Pittsburgh in some form whether that means she’s wrestling or just making an appearance remains to be unknown at this time.

Despite the fact that she was advertised for this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center, she didn’t appear. She is still scheduled for all the live events she’d been advertised for.

Sasha Banks Admits Thinking Ronda Rousey Signing ‘Wasn’t Fair’ At First

WWE Superstar Sasha Banks was recently a guest on CBS Sports’ In This Corner podcast to talk about several professional wrestling topics. One such topic was the current WWE run and success of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

Rousey debuted in WWE back in January after the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble and confronted Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair before pointing to the WrestleMania 34 sign. She’d go on to The Show Of Shows to team up with WWE Hall Of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle to defeat Stephanie McMahon and Triple H in Mixed Tag Team competition.

Just a few months later Rousey made her singles debut against Nia Jax with the RAW Women’s Title on the line at the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV). Rousey seemed like she was on the verge of winning the title, before Ms. Money In The Bank Alexa Bliss attacked both women and cashed-in her briefcase to win the RAW Women’s strap.

Banks has been pleasantly surprised with Rousey’s run in WWE thus far, saying The Rowdy One has been “killing it” inside the ring and she has thoroughly enjoyed watching her matches:

“She had been killing it. She’s proven all the doubters wrong, and it’s so crazy to see her matches,” said Banks. “I’m like in shock, I’m in awe. I loved her match at WrestleMania, I loved her match at Money in the Bank, and I definitely think she’s one to watch.

“I can’t believe Money in the Bank was only her second match and I am so impressed, and I hope I get to wrestle her in the future and I’m really excited for her here in the WWE and she really has been killing it.”

The Legit Boss admitted that she had her reservations about the Rousey-WWE signing at first, saying “When I first heard that she was gonna be here, I was a little like, ‘huh, that’s not really fair.”

Now, however, Banks sees that Rousey has proven herself worthy to be in the position she’s currently in with the company, and is excited to have Rousey in WWE.

Rousey’s match against Nia Jax is still a go despite her “30-day Suspension” for attacking Alex Bliss and Kurt Angle on RAW.

Ronda Rousey Posts Message To Alexa Bliss, Details Goals In WWE

In WWE storyline, Ronda Rousey is suspended until after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on July 15th, 2018. Rousey beat up several WWE referees on Raw this Monday causing Kurt Angle to suspend her for 30-days.

It seems Rousey is counting down the days until she can get her hands on Little Miss Bliss. She posted the following to her social media channels recently:

Raw Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, has not responded to Rousey. Bliss, who will face Nia Jax at Extreme Rules, posted the following graphic recently which states her MITB cash-in was the 3rd fastest in history.

Ronda Rousey’s Goals in WWE

Similar to Kenny Omega, Ronda Rousey wants to change the world through pro-wrestling. WWE.com correspondents spoke with Rousey about her goals in wrestling and what she wants to accomplish before having children.

“I feel like I have so much potential, that even though I’ve accomplished a lot I feel like I’m always capable of more. I have more to contribute to this world than I already have. The WWE seems like the most direct way to affect lasting social change that I want to happen before I bring children into this world. This is the right time, this is the right place, and I have an idea whose time has come. I don’t want my kids to put up with some of the bullshit I had to, so I’m going to change it. And this is how.”

Rousey won over even her harshest critics with her performances at both WrestleMania 34 and the Money in the Bank PPV. On Sunday, it was reported that both Rousey and Nia Jax received standing ovations backstage after the match.

WWE Creates Stephanie McMahon Themed Merchandise For Ronda Rousey

WWE is being creative with the latest t-shirt for former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

Rousey made her WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 by teaming up with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a Mixed Tag Team Match. In this match, there was a famous scene in which Rousey made McMahon tap out to her armbar finisher.

Well, WWE has decided to use a photo of that finish from that match for a new t-shirt following the success of the “Hot Ronda” t-shirts. You can check out Rousey’s latest merchandise created by the sports entertainment company here:

As we noted earlier on the site, Rousey got her revenge on WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network by attacking and sending her through a table.

The reason for the beatdown was due to Bliss attacking her during Rousey’s RAW Women’s Title Match against Nia Jax at the Money in the Bank PPV event. It was later announced that Rousey would be suspended for 30 days as a result of her actions.

Despite being suspended, it’s been reported that Rousey is still scheduled to appear at Monday’s RAW and will likely appear in a dark segment.

The sports entertainment company is advertising Rousey for the following dates including live events:

– WWE Live Event: June 24th in Anaheim, CA

– Monday Night RAW TV Event: June 25th in San Diego, CA

– WWE Live Event: July 7th in New York City

– WWE Live Event: July 8th in Bridgeport, CT

– Monday Night RAW TV Event: July 16th in Buffalo, NY

– Monday Night RAW TV Event: August 20th in Brooklyn NY

– WWE Live Event: November 3rd in Madrid

– WWE Live Event: November 4th in Barcelona

– WWE Live Event: November 10th in Rome

Ronda Rousey Might Not Miss Monday’s RAW

It looks like Ronda Rousey’s WWE suspension won’t prevent her from appearing on Monday Night RAW next week in San Diego after all. The 30-day suspension was issued out to The Rowdy One for attacking both RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle earlier this week.

A report from The Wrestling Observer suggests that Rousey is still scheduled to appear at Monday’s RAW. That could simply mean, however, that she’s scheduled for a dark segment that won’t make it to TV. Perhaps WWE could even eliminate Rousey’s suspension altogether.

Regardless, W.O.N reports that the former UFC women’s bantamweight champ will be in San Diego on Monday. Here is her confirmed WWE schedule below:

  • 6/24 – RAW live event in Anaheim, CA
  • 7/6 – RAW live event in Philadelphia, PA
  • 7/7 – RAW live event at MSG
  • 7/8 – RAW live event in Bridgeport, CT
  • 7/9 – Monday Night RAW in Boston, MA

UFC Champion Offers To Help Alexa Bliss Train For Ronda Rousey

There is one UFC star who has offered to help train Alexa Bliss for her pending showdown with Ronda Rousey.

That star is UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg, who wanted to fight the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion when Rousey was still competing as a pro-MMA fighter.

As noted, Rousey beat Nia Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event once Bliss attacked Rousey. After the match, Bliss cashed in her MITB contract to win the title from Jax.

Moving along to the opening segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network. Rousey attacked Bliss and was later “suspended” for 30 days as a result of her actions.

Rousey will be back on television next month to start the build for her match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

WWE has yet to officially announce when Rousey would wrestle Bliss but the expectation is that this match will happen sooner rather than later. Cyborg tweeted out the following:

“Let me know # @AlexaBliss_WWE if you need help training Judo takedown and armbar defense!”

Ronda Rousey Reportedly Had Food Poisoning Before WM 34

Ronda Rousey impressed a lot of people during her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 this past April.

The Rowdy One teamed up with WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle in a Mixed Tag Team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Rousey surpassed a lot of fans’ expectations and actually put on one of the more entertaining matches of the night.

In the end, Rousey and Angle emerged victorious. It turns out that Rousey was very ill in the days leading up to her in-ring debut in New Orleans. Triple H recently did an interview with GiveMeSport and revealed Rousey had food poisoning while preparing for the match.

The Game credited Rousey for her determination after she refused to stop training despite how terrible she was feeling. Triple H himself had to stop the training session in order to let Rousey get some rest before the match.

Ronda Rousey Reacts To Her WWE “Suspension”

Ronda Rousey has given her reaction to being “suspended” by the WWE.

Following the angle, Rousey took to her official Instagram account to react to the news by writing the following:

“@therealkurtangle I sincerely apologize for my behavior tonight…. Though you were the first to put hands on me, I shouldn’t have let my temper get the best of me….Despite the fact I was cheated, provoked, and disrespected by Alexa… i shouldn’t have been willing to go through you to get to her.

I’ll gladly serve my suspension … but Alexa, know that every moment you don’t see me i am thinking of you and preparing for your comeuppance. So you in 30 days #LittleMissBish.”

WWE “Suspends” Ronda Rousey In RAW Angle

Fans won’t be able to see Ronda Rousey on WWE television for the next month.

The reason for this is due to the opening segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network.

As seen in the angle that aired on the flagship show of the sports entertainment company, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Alexa Bliss would make her first title defense as RAW Women’s Champion against Nia Jax at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena.

This is when the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion hit the ring and attacked not only Bliss but Angle as well.

As noted, Rousey beat Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event once Bliss attacked Rousey. After the match, Bliss cashed in her MITB contract to win the title from Jax.

Following the segment, Angle announced that Rousey would be suspended for 30 days as a result of her actions. Rousey will be back on television next month to start the build for her match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

Backstage Reaction To Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax

The RAW Women’s Title was on the line last night during WWE’s Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) when champion Nia Jax defended her title against former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.

It was Rousey’s first singles match on WWE TV. To many’s surprise, both Rousey and Jax performed quite impressively. The action was fairly entertaining and well executed, with the exception of Rousey accidentally falling outside of the ring through the ropes.

Of course, their success was short-lived as Women’s MITB briefcase holder Alexa Bliss cashed in after attacking both Rousey and Jax. She won the RAW Women’s Title after hitting Twister Bliss on Jax.

According to sources backstage at the event, both Rousey and Jax received standing ovations when coming back through the curtain after their match.

Both Jax and Rousey certainly put on the best performances of their respective careers. Jax did an exceptional job of guiding Rousey through her first singles match, and The Rowdy One certainly impressed for it being her first one-on-one opportunity inside the squared circle.

Ronda Rousey Puts Alexa Bliss On Notice Heading Into Tonight’s WWE RAW

The first singles match for Ronda Rousey in the WWE is in the books.

However, she was not able to capture her first title in the professional wrestling business. The UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion beat Nia Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.

The finish of the match saw Alexa Bliss attack Rousey to cause the DQ. After the match, Bliss continued the beat down on Rousey and then attacked Jax.

This led to Bliss cashing in her MITB contract to beat Jax to win the RAW Women’s Title. On Monday morning, Rousey took to her official Instagram account to put Bliss on notice leading into tonight’s (June 18, 2018) episode of Monday Night RAW.

“Apparently cheaters DO prosper in the @wwe – not surprising tbh, given their leadership @stephaniemcmahon @tripleh ? I don’t know what I was doing expecting a certain degree of honor and fair sport. That was MY mistake. I won’t make it again.  @alexa_bliss_wwe_ …. you screwed over the wrong woman. See you tonight on #Raw.”

Nia Jax Comments On Having Wrestled Ronda Rousey

Last night in Chicago, Nia Jax defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey. It looked as though Rousey was en route to winning the title as she locked-in the armbar but Alexa Bliss interfered causing the match to be thrown out.

After insuring Rousey was taken out, Bliss then cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Bliss was easily able to defeat an injured Jax to win back the Raw Women’s Championship. She is now a 3x Raw Women’s Champion and a 2x Smackdown Women’s Champion.

Jax Tweeted out the following not long after Money in the Bank ended:

“Not the ending I was hoping for, but can’t help but be proud of what @RondaRousey & I accomplished tonight. She is the REAL DEAL!”

Raw Women’s Championship

Only 5 people have held the Raw Women’s Championship since its inception at WrestleMania 32 on April 3rd, 2016.

Bliss is the all-time most decorated champion in the title’s lineage, having held the belt for a combined 336 days. Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks have each won the title 4x but their title reigns have not been as lengthy. Flair has held the title a combined 246 days and Sasha Banks only 84 days. Bayley has held the title once and dropped it after 76 days. Nia Jax’s only run with the belt concluded last night after 70 days.

The Raw Women’s Division currently consists of
