In a recent statement on social media, former WWE star Ryback voiced his concerns about the current political climate in the United States. His commentary, shared alongside a controversial video, has stirred significant attention. Here’s a deeper dive into his claims and his explicit endorsement for the upcoming election.
Ryback’s Bold Claim About Migrant Gangs
Ryback’s tweet addressed a video suggesting that “migrant gangs are targeting homes in Colorado suburbs, including Lakewood, Aurora, and Longmont.” He warned that the issue could quickly escalate, spreading to other major cities unless decisive action is taken immediately.
In his post, the former WWE Superstar stated, “This will spread to every major city in no time if not stopped immediately.”
This will spread to every major city in no time if not stopped immediately. Under Kamala this only gets way worse. They want chaos and the American people to feel as if they need the government to save them. Now just imagine when they take our guns away. Vote Trump ?? ? https://t.co/HMegE4Q59B
The former Intercontinental Champion went further, specifically targeting Vice President Kamala Harris, implying that her leadership would exacerbate the situation. He tweeted, “Under Kamala this only gets way worse. They want chaos and the American people to feel as if they need the government to save them.”
The Controversial Issue of Gun Control
Another key point Ryback touched upon was gun control. His tweet concluded with a stark warning: “Now just imagine when they take our guns away.”
By tying this issue to the scenario depicted in the video, Ryback underscores a common narrative in right-wing discourse: the importance of the Second Amendment as a safeguard against both criminal activity and governmental overreach.
Ryback’s Endorsement of Donald Trump
Perhaps the most striking part of the former WWE Superstar’s tweet was his clear endorsement for the 2024 presidential election. He urged his followers to “Vote Trump,” signaling his belief that former President Donald Trump is better suited to handle these pressing issues.
This endorsement is consistent with Trump’s tough stance on immigration, law enforcement, and gun rights. Ryback’s alignment with Trump reflects a broader sentiment among many conservative figures who see the former president as a bulwark against the perceived threats highlighted in the video and tweet.
Pro wrestling can take a lot out of someone, and Ryback understands that all too well. He walked out of WWE a number of years ago, and he hasn’t looked back except to call out WWE for their misdeeds. Although Ryback hasn’t wrestled much since his WWE departure, there is a hope that he will lock up again some day.
Ryback Talks About In-Ring Return
Ryback’s last match took place in August 2018 when Northeast Wrestling presented an event as part of their Wrestling Under The Stars 7 Tour. The event took place at Muzzy Field in Bristol, Connecticut, USA. One of the featured matches of the evening saw Ryback emerge victorious over Dylan Bostic in a hard-fought battle. The Big Guy hasn’t wrestled since then.
During a recent TikTok video, Ryback addressed his return to the ring. It seems that stem cell therapy has helped repair his back, but his shoulder still has issues. There is also a problem with the scar tissue that remains.
The one question I get all the time is ‘Ryback, when are you going back to WWE? When are you going back pro wrestling?’ The answer is that I don’t know. The reason I don’t know is in 2016, when I walked out on a multi-million dollar contract in WWE, I was told I needed a five-disc fusion and shoulder replacement at 34-years-old. See, I was able to get stem cell treatments, and they were able to regrow all five discs in my back, so that is not an issue. My right shoulder, which I have no cartridge due to negligent WWE doctors injecting cortizone into it multiple times a year and lying to me, that has been a bigger issue.
Ryback then explained that he has a massive amount of scar tissue that has built up. They are working daily to break that up, and if they can succeed, then he can make a return to the ring. Until that happens, he will keep working toward that goal.
In the meantime, Ryback said that he is happy running his Feed Me More nutrition brand of supplements. He also runs daily live shows on his social media accounts, which he doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.
We will have to see if Ryback ever makes a return to the ring. At this point, he seems to be working hard for that day to come, although he still has some more work to do.

CM Punk’s return to WWE shocked everyone, including Ryback. The Big Guy even proclaimed that he would retire from pro wrestling if Punk actually returned to WWE. That happened, but Ryback quickly took back that wager.
It appears that the legend of Ryback’s bet against CM Punk’s career is catching up to him. Now, the former Intercontinental Champion can’t even get something to eat without someone hounding him about this broken online promise.
Ryback’s Taco Bell Incident
Ryback shared on his YouTube channel, Ryback TV, a recent story about an incident at a Taco Bell. He explained his attempt to acquire food, but the situation soured when the employee, aware of his bet against CM Punk, wanted to do some trolling instead.
“I just had a horrible interaction with a Taco Bell employee. Probably the first real bad interaction I had with somebody, possibly ever. To order the food I got to the window. A woman took the order. This kid, I give him my card, and he’s literally into my car. Like not all the way into my window but like just staring at me. Like I give him my card and I go to grab my phone, I turn around and he’s just right in my face. He goes, ‘Big guy?’ I go, ‘Yeah.’ He says, ‘Probably live in Vegas,’ I go, ‘Yeah.’ He says, ‘You’re not retiring?’ I just look at him and I go, ‘What?’”
Ryback quickly realized that his little online wager about CM Punk’s WWE return followed him to this Taco Bell visit. The Big Guy said that this fan then demanded a photograph, which he didn’t get.
“He says ‘CM Punk’ and he has a little smirk on his face. He’s just trying to be a smartass and I go, ‘Alright, give me my food.’ He says, ‘Give me a picture,’ and I go, ‘No, give me my food.’ And this kid starts getting an attitude like ‘Oh, you’re mean’ and some other sh*t, and I just go off. Then this other chick comes and I tell her, ‘Get this f**king piece of sh*t away from me.’ Doesn’t even say, ‘Please can I have a picture?’ He just says, ‘Give me a picture.’”
CM Punk’s return was a huge secret, with only Triple H and Nick Khan really knowing before the world found out. WWE’s creative team didn’t even know Punk was returning, and those Superstars in the WarGames match were only informed right before they went out. Obviously, Ryback wasn’t smartened up before he bet his career.
Goldberg and Ryback never got to lock horns in the ring, but this is a dream match for some fans. Although Goldberg proved that he can get physical, Ryback hasn’t done a lot to show off his move-set in recent memory. That being said, Ryback wasn’t impressed by Goldberg’s last outing.
Since Goldberg is currently a free agent, his pro wrestling future is a big question mark. The WWE Hall of Famer’s WWE contract has expired. Speculation has arisen among fans about Goldberg’s retirement match in Israel, something that Goldberg was reportedly working on, but we haven’t heard any momentum in that direction for months.
Goldberg recently grabbed headlines by executing a massive spear on a Tom Brady fan during a Falcons game. Ryback, always ready to fuel the ongoing feud, reacted to the video on X. He confidently asserted that Goldberg could never spear him in the same manner, appending the hashtag “Hungry” to underscore his eagerness for a match.
He could never do that to me, ever! Ryback Rules!
Ryback’s verbal assaults extend beyond Goldberg, as he has also been relentless in criticizing CM Punk since Punk’s WWE return. He has also taken shots at Mark Henry, Vince McMahon, and the pro wrestling media as well.
The big question is whether Goldberg will ever respond to Ryback’s challenge. That remains uncertain, but the resolution of this ongoing one-sided feud appears unlikely as of this writing.
You can check out Goldberg’s spear and Ryback’s response below. Keep checking back with us at SE Scoops for more updates!
Former WWE superstar Ryback has a new claim regarding the company.
WWE is set to be without its top babyface on Raw for a while. Cody Rhodes has suffered a complete tear of his right pectoral muscle. He ended up gutting it out and performed at Hell in a Cell despite the fact that most of his pec and arm was bruised.
Cody ended up defeating Seth Rollins but he’ll be undergoing surgery this week. The recovery period usually takes four to six months.
Ryback At It Again
In a recent post on his Twitter account, Ryback claimed he received a call from WWE regarding a potential return to the company.
.@WWE presents a shitty settlement and has @JohnLaurinaitis call after @CodyRhodes gets injured. No thank you! All wrongs of the past must be made right. I’m going to win the RYBACK TM and can wrestle as RYBACK legally anyways. You know what you have to do @VinceMcMahon
“@WWE presents a sh**ty settlement and has @JohnLaurinaitis call after @CodyRhodes gets injured. No thank you! All wrongs of the past must be made right. I’m going to win the RYBACK TM and can wrestle as RYBACK legally anyways. You know what you have to do @VinceMcMahon.”
Ryback and WWE have been in a legal battle over name rights. It’s led to the former WWE superstar lashing out at Vince McMahon and his empire. He’s even taken personal digs at the WWE Chairman.
Despite a red hot start to the “Ryback” character in WWE, things fizzled out and the two sides parted ways back in August 2016.
“When you’re talking about somebody that you don’t know, that right there for me is taking it to another level… I have no problem or personal issues with Ryback or anything like that but I’m not someone that hides up under a rock or anything or that’s afraid to tackle a situation like this one right here. My thing is this. Ryback didn’t make it in the WWE, right? That’s a fact, he didn’t make it in the WWE.
“A person that says something like that, I just do not have a whole lot of respect for him. The thing is, if I saw him in his face, I’ll tell him, ‘I don’t have a lot of respect for you at all if any.’ Seriously, that’s just the type of person I am. I do know if I ever was to run across Ryback ever again in any form, he would not be receiving a handshake.”
Despite claiming to stand by the comments he made, Ryback has since deleted the tweet where he insulted McMahon’s mother.
Last night on Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman referred to CM Punk as the “New Ryback” during a promo. MJF was commenting on how Punk has been undefeated while facing a string of underwhelming opponents in underwhelming matches when he made the comment.
Ryback took to social media last night to respond to MJF’s comments.
“Thanks for the shoutout MJF. Now you have your big chance at being an enhancement talent working with an underwhelming opponent,” Ryback Tweeted.
MJF’s comment about Punk being the “new Ryback” comes on the heels of a line Punk used on him during their promo battle in Chicago. Punk referred to MJF as a “less famous Miz” during that show. The reference to Miz on Dynamite was then alluded to by Edge on the following week’s RAW.
“You have people on other shows saying your name just to get a cheap reaction. You live rent-free in a lot of heads,” Edge said to Miz.
"YOU have people saying your name just to get a cheap reaction. You live rent-free in a lot of heads." – @EdgeRatedR
Ryback was signed to WWE in 2005 after impressing WWE officials on Tough Enough. In 2010, he would be one of the members of the Nexus faction that invaded WWE. He was once rated as high as #13 in the PWI Top-500 rankings. Ryback is a former Intercontinental Champion and won 5 Slammies from 2012-14. He was released in 2016.

Former WWE Superstar Ryback took to Twitter recently to tell people it is “perfectly okay and responsible to not want to get a vaccine.” The 39-year-old has also been responding to people online critical of his stance as well.
“It’s perfectly ok and responsible to not want to get a vaccine. Just like the whole mask deal, don’t let ourselves get distracted and focus our attention on others. Many people haven’t been sick in years because they’ve properly built up their immune systems. Let’s live life!” Ryback wrote.
I support everyone who wants to get them and support everyone who doesn’t want to get them. https://t.co/ImgXSWBmqF
This led to him responding to several people critical of his stance.
I’m not against masks James. The post is in reference to people shaming others for personal decisions. You’re missing the entire point. The post is a positive and telling people to make a decision on what they feel is right, just as we always have. 💪 https://t.co/WWenoU81pw
I am saying I don’t judge people who choose not to get it. I’ve clearly stated this. Sit back and watch people judge over someone who is pro both sides. 😊 https://t.co/xcp4DjHu9B
Mark Henry and Ryback ended up in a back-and-forth recently regarding statements Ryback made regarding championships in wrestling. Back in January, Henry spoke about Ryback’s comments and his reputation in wrestling.
“A lot of his peers looked at him as difficult, a lot of his peers looked at him as dangerous,” Mark Henry said on Busted Open Radio
Henry also responded to comments Ryback made on Twitter regarding titles in wrestling.
“Wrestling’s fake guys and the Championships are props to market entertainers as “Champions”’ Nobody has actually ever won or lost a prop, as scripted physical entertainment is incapable of that. This tweet explains so much though on your tv deal with them,” Ryback wrote.
“The championship is the championship, it’s not a prop and he’s wrong,” said Henry on Busted Open Radio. “I’ve been a world champion in 3 sports and I consider pro-wrestling one of those. Ryback can’t take away what I achieved. You are wrong. Every wrestler that sees your face should walk up to you and say ‘hey, you’re an asshole.’ And I hope you know how to fight for real because you know and I know, there’s a lot of people that would whoop your ass.”
Henry finished by saying, “You owe the wrestling industry an apology. If you don’t, I think that pro-wrestlers all over the world should never give you respect.”
Former NWA commentator and outspoken pro wrestling personality Jim Cornette recently discussed the ongoing online ‘feud’ between Ryback and Mark Henry.
Ryback recently made comments on Championships in wrestling, saying that they are ‘props.’ “Wrestling’s fake guys and the Championships are props to market entertainers as ‘Champions’” Ryback said. “Nobody has actually ever won or lost a prop, as scripted physical entertainment is incapable of that.”
Mark Henry took exception to this, making multiple disparaging comments on Busted Open Radio towards The Big Guy. It appears as though Jim Cornette agrees with Henry, making the following comments on his Drive Thru podcast.
Jim Cornette on Ryback
“He don’t get the f*cking picture” Cornette began. “Because he’s (Ryback) got such a hard on for Vince and the WWE, because they didn’t make him a world champion. He sounds…he is a disrespectful piece of sh*t that wouldn’t have been allowed in the wrestling business 30 years ago; because the way he talks about it, thinks about it, obviously, and considers it.”
“F*ck you” Jim Cornette continued. “Just because you didn’t get to be World Champion, and you didn’t get to win the belt and you didn’t get to do whatever you wanted to do; to where you had to walk away on a multimillion dollar contract because they wouldn’t see how ‘great’ you were? You call the business phoney and fake, you tell everybody the championships are props, don’t mean anything. You were f*cking jilted by your f*cking boyfriend so you try to tear him down.”
Jim Cornette has thrown comments at Ryback in the past, but these recent words seem far more incendiary. Mark Henry does not seem interested in discussing the ‘feud’ on Busted Open further; Ryback himself has made it clear that his issues were only ever with WWE themselves and not the talent.
Mark Henry has taken offense to former WWE Superstar Ryback’s lack of respect for the wrestling business. During a recent episode of Busted Open, Henry said that many of Ryback’s peers found him difficult to work with and unsafe in the ring.
“A lot of his peers looked at him as difficult, a lot of his peers looked at him as dangerous,” Mark Henry said on the show.
Henry also took offense to Ryback stating that wrestling championships are just “props.”
Wrestling’s fake guys and the Championships are props to market entertainers as “Champions”’ Nobody has actually ever won or lost a prop, as scripted physical entertainment is incapable of that. This tweet explains so much though on your tv deal with them. https://t.co/KurkFyBISo
Henry takes pride in his accomplishments in pro wrestling and defended the value of titles.
“The championship is the championship, it’s not a prop and he’s wrong,” said Henry.
You can listen to Mark Henry’s comments about Ryback in the audio player embedded below:
. @TheMarkHenry didn't hold back his thoughts when discussing @Ryback latest comments disparaging wrestling and the Championship belt!
I was a “failure” for showing up and helping build the Punk Rock storyline according to @themarkhenry and every other time I showed up and did my job regardless of being scripted to win or lose since it didn’t involve winning the heavyweight championship. https://t.co/kLW4nJhRsC
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Kenny Omega’s storyline between AEW, IMPACT and AAA. The Big Guy would discuss how Omega and the other EVPs in AEW had to ‘make’ other talent before giving themselves the top titles in the company.
Kenny Omega is of course the AEW Champion and The Young Bucks are the AEW Tag Team Champions. Whilst Cody was previously the TNT Champion? This is the first time in the company’s short history that the Executive Vice Presidents are holding arguably the two main titles in the company.
Ryback on Kenny Omega
“I’m very intrigued, Kenny Omega has got a whole lot more interesting really quickly” Ryback would begin on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling podcast. “Everything they’re [AEW] doing is working in terms of long term. The Young Bucks, Kenny, Cody, how they they were booked early on? People kind of thought didn’t understand it. I can look at it and see that they needed to kind of help ‘make’ other people first.”
“They’re still doing it” The Big Guy Ryback would continue. “It’s the coolest thing to watch, as everyone’s getting elevated in the TV game and becoming bigger bigger stars. But Kenny now can really turn it up, and I think he’s more comfortable? Just from what I’ve seen on AEW.”
Ryback would finish by saying how he feels Omega is far better in the heel role on AEW programming. “I’m more interested in the heel Kenny Omega, I wasn’t into the babyface Kenny Omega, just from as a viewer watching that product solely. I feel like he’s more comfortable being heel.”
Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that Kenny Omega is working better as a heel in AEW? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Vince McMahon and by extension WWE’s communication as a company.
The Big Guy would compare WWE’s communication with talent with that of a professional sports team like that in the NFL. Ryback would make the point that when you aren’t performing well in a ‘real’ sport you’re pulled aside by your coaches and your path to success is laid out in front of you.
Ryback on WWE Communication
“They [WWE] don’t communicate” Ryback would begin on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling podcast. “That stems from Vince, because Vince doesn’t know how to communicate. Vince only knows how to lie. That’s done on purpose, to control things and to create that fear mentality.”
“They breed that fear and it gets passed down all the way to developmental” The Big Guy continued. “I’ve lived it, it’s something that needs to be better. It doesn’t need to exist, you know? In traditional sports? You know if you’re not performing.”
Ryback would finish by using the aforementioned football analogy. “If you’re a starting running back you know you’re going to be told exactly what you need to be doing. ‘Look, we need you need to start performing you need to do this, this and this. And then if you don’t? We’re going to take you out of this.'”
“They don’t do this in depth, and this is speaking for WWE solely” The Big Guy continued. “And it’s frustrating because it doesn’t need to be that way. It’s all just a lack of communication.”
This is not the first time that Ryback has made disparaging comments regarding WWE and or Vince McMahon. It likely also won’t be the last.
Do you think that we’ll see Ryback in the likes of AEW or NJPW? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Lars Sullivan on his Shooting Blanks Pro Wrestling podcast. It has been noted over the past several years that Sullivan has been suffering from mental health issues, and these appear to now be being brought to television for his on screen persona.
The initial segments from late October/early November showed signs of a mental health based angle, however these have ceased recently, leading some to believe that the angle was nixed.
Ryback on Lars Sullivan
“He does have psychological issues to a degree. Sullivan’s had counselling and had issues and they’re kind of putting him in that role on TV, of acknowledging the problems” Ryback would begin on the podcast. “Which is a great storyline, if you’re doing something with it.”
As mention the angle appears to have been sidelined for the time being, and Ryback questioned why the company would pull the trigger only to renege on it. “But then all of a sudden…to do that and then to [pull the angle]? There could be something to that where he goes, ‘look, I’m not comfortable doing this guys.’ Then [they say] ‘it’s okay you’re off TV until we’re gonna figure out,’ maybe they’re finding something different. That’s a very realistic scenario.”
Ryback would then praise Sullivan as a presence on the show, saying he could be a big time player in WWE. “There’s money in Lars Sullivan. “There’s money with him, to a degree. But I’m saying this, pro wrestling is the last business you need to be in if you have any mental issues, regardless.”
“[That could be] anxiety, or anything” Ryback continued. “You have to have thick, thick skin in pro wrestling on every aspect, especially in the WWE land. I think AEW in a way? It’s a friendlier environment. But the land of WWE? They can eat you alive.”
Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that Lars Sullivan could end up a big star in WWE? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently commented on the Final Farewell of The Undertaker. This past Sunday was the 30th anniversary of The Deadman, who of course made his WWE debut at Survivor Series 1990.
‘Taker took his final bow in the company in the ’empty’ ThunderDone arena. Whilst fans were visible on the screens around the ring they were of course not in Anway Center to celebrate the career of the iconic Deadman.
Although WWE and Undertaker himself have claimed that this was the final appearance? Ryback believes that we will see ‘Taker again, when fans are allowed back into arenas safely.
Ryback on The Undertaker Farewell
“Vince [McMahon] is a great businessman, regardless of my personal feelings on certain things” Ryback began on the Shooting Blanks podcast. “So what they’re doing? I promise you this…that’s not the last time we’re going to see the Undertaker.”
“That was a way to capitalise on the 30th anniversary” Ryback continued, discussing the Survivor Series 2020 ‘Final Farewell.’ “The moment there are people back [in arenas]? There will be another farewell. There’s no way you’re not going to get that, when an opportunity comes up. Even if they don’t market it as a farewell? It’s the Undertaker appearance, it will be another farewell.”
Ryback would finish by praising WWE for the ‘smart’ business decision of capitalizing on the 30th anniversary of Undertaker’s debut. “I think it was a smart business move capitalising on that, you’d be silly not to now. Did they have to say it’s the farewell? Was that necessarily? Maybe not. You could have just been celebrating 30 years, but I think it [the finality] gives it that that extra special feel. But it’s like…retiring and wrestling? It’s the least respected retirement in all of sports!”
Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that we will see The Undertaker again when there are crowds in arenas? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback has opened up about why he publicly scrutinizes his former employer. He explained his reasoning after fans questioned him about his vocal criticisms.
Taking to Twitter, Ryback had argued how the “frustration Vince McMahon has lived is empowering people.”
He explained how Vince’s “evil ways” will always ensure people leave him. Ryback then proposed that if Vince learned to “empower and love talents fully,” they would always love him in return.
Ultimately, he believes “Vince is living in fear and going up in flames for his own insecurities due to his father.”
The frustration @vincemcmahon has lived is empowering people, but through his evil ways they always leave him. If he learned to empower and love talents fully they would always love back. Vince is living in fear and going up in flames for his own insecurities due to his father
Replying to another fan, who argued that the former Superstar had built his own brand following his release, Ryback explained how WWE had “betrayed” him from the start.
He added how they “never once offered to help with the problems they were responsible for.”
According to him, WWE “suppressed my Social media and forcing me to spend lots of cash for a trademark they only renewed because it was being awarded to me.”
“It’s all my fault and I will fix it as I have. This isn’t about creative or any of the fake BS, it’s about life and I will continue to speak up for change. I get nothing from doing so, but I believe change is already happening in the business for the better.
“The Big Guy” had noted how fans don’t know the ins and outs of his personal life. He shared how he needed 16 stem cell procedures to save his back and shoulder from injuries.
Bingo. Company has betrayed me from the start and never once offered to help with the problems they were responsible for, but I fixed it. They’ve suppressed my Social media and forcing me to spend lots of cash for a trademark they only renewed because it was being awarded to me. https://t.co/g8x8IvTi4s
I’m sorry you don’t understand anything going on in my life including 16 stem cell procedures to save my back and shoulder. Last 2 years I stopped wrestling to care for my dog Sophie with disc disease and 8 surgeries. Be better, you have no clue what you speak about. https://t.co/t4MydMuYd8
It’s all my fault and I will fix it as I have. This isn’t about creative or any of the fake BS, it’s about life and I will continue to speak up for change. I get nothing from doing so, but I believe change is already happening in the business for the better. https://t.co/g8x8IvTi4s
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently invited David Benoit onto The Ryback Show podcast. During the show The Big Guy would discuss with Benoit the differences in backstage atmospheres between AEW and WWE.
When Benoit stated that AEW seemed “a lot happier” backstage, Ryback would agree. “That’s the vibe from what I’ve been told. That starts from the top down” Ryback would begin.
Ryback Talks AEW vs WWE
“Wrestling is…I feel like it’s more of a ‘team atmosphere’ right now? Everyone realizes that they all need each other to do what they’re going to do” The Big Guy would continue, before making a huge claim about All Elite Wrestling. “I think they’re (AEW) going to be the number one promotion moving forward, sooner rather than later.”
Ryback would elaborate on the point, saying how WWE’s schedule is not conjunctive to a happy working environment. “With what they’re (AEW) doing? Even with the work schedule and how they’re treating the talent? I think it’s gonna force, it already has in a way WWE, to alter things a little bit.”
The Big Guy would finish by re-iterating that WWE’s schedule needs to change. With the COVID-19 pandemic stopping extensive travel it has somewhat calmed the talent’s constant movement; but there’s no guarantee that house shows will not be back in some form in 2021. “I’m a big believer that the work schedule [in WWE] needs to change. Because it’s just not conducive to a healthy lifestyle in any way shape or form.”
Ryback has in the past made these claims about AEW overtaking WWE as the top brand in wrestling. In the last few months he has ramped up his opinions on the ‘battle’ between arguably the two biggest promotions worldwide.
Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that AEW can truly compete and actually beat WWE at some point down the road? Let us know in the comments

David Benoit recently appeared on The Ryback Show podcast. The son of Chris Benoit discussed a litany of topics during the interview, including his want to appear in the ring himself.
David has spoken at length about the difficulties of carrying his last name, following the tragic events of June 2007. These can be heard at length on VICE’s Dark Side of The Ring.
Although Benoit is still in the “early stages” of his wrestling training? He has already made a major decision regarding his professional wrestling future. “I don’t want to go to WWE” Benoit stated on the podcast.
David Benoit as a ‘Technical’ Wrestler
Benoit would also claim that he wants to be a “technical” style wrestler when he finally makes it to the ring. It’s clear that David is heavily influenced by his father, as well as Chris Benoit’s contemporaries such as Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko. David would list Jericho and Malenko as two men who have guided him thus far and are his longtime friends.
It’s been reported previously how David Benoit has been spotted backstage at both WWE and AEW. Ryback would ask Benoit if there were differences between the two company’s atmospheres backstage.
“I’d say, yes, you know?” Benoit revealed. “Because everyone seems to be more happier [in AEW] I find.” Benoit would finish by saying that “I’ve seen…I’ve seen a lot of old ex WWE employees at AEW. They’re just a lot happier.”
Do you want to see David Benoit in an AEW ring? Do you think that he will struggle to get past the baggage of his last name? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Matt Riddle and his new ‘name’ in WWE. It was recently confirmed that the former UFC star will now just be going under the name ‘Riddle.’
This move was reportedly made as Vince McMahon was concerned about Riddle’s past allegations of sexual abuse coming to light, especially on the likes of a Google search. Ryback would state how certain talents with just one name, himself included, actually benefited from the move in WWE.
“I mean the the names you just named (co-host Raj Giri named Goldberg, Rusev, Elias, Cesaro et al) they all had have had nice careers in WWE” Ryback began on the show.
Ryback on ‘Riddle’
Ryback elaborated further, saying “[or] now they are being used consistently. It would make sense that if they’re doing that [for Riddle]? There’s a reason WHY they’re doing it. Typically they wouldn’t just do that to someone they’re leaving catering every week, if that makes sense.”
The Big Guy would actually agree with WWE’s reasoning for the move. Typically, name changes in WWE (like Ali losing the Mustafa part of his moniker) aren’t universally welcomed. “I understand that from a business standpoint. And from the Googling standpoint? That makes as much sense as anything I’ve heard in a long time from them [WWE].”
Ryback would finish by pointing out one flaw with WWE’s perceived plan, in that if Riddle were to become popular enough the search results would still contain a litany of reports of the legal issues. “With that kind of stuff? If he becomes popular enough? Even if you just Google ‘Riddle?’ The first thing that’s gonna pop up is everything MATT Riddle.”
Do you agree with Ryback? Do you think that this could be another sign that WWE are looking to strap the rocket to Matt Riddle? Let us know in the comments
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed the ongoing Twitch ‘battle’ between WWE and Paige. Saraya (Paige) has been vocal about the recent third party ban that WWE has imposed on Superstars, meaning that they could no longer use the likes of Twitch and Cameo.
Ryback would discuss how Paige is in a ‘strong position’ with her recent claims that she would not be letting WWE take her Twitch channel. “I feel for Paige, I hope she doesn’t sign over to them (WWE). She actually is in a really strong position, I don’t even know if she realizes she is, but she should continue to speak up.”
Ryback on Paige
“It will only garner her more attention” Ryback would continue. “It will gain her more of a following over there. She already has an amazing following on Twitch. I can say firsthand being over there when I created the Ryback Rules account. And having now done a little bit of gaming and stuff? It’s a great community over there, like it’s a lot of fun.”
Ryback has been outspoken regarding WWE and their ‘independent contractor’ claims regarding talent ever since he left the company. “I completely understand what she’s (Paige) talking about. I sympathize with her because I understand, I had the same thing. I’d lost wrestling and had to walk away with the injuries. Granted, I’ve been lucky enough and blessed enough to be able to come back.”
Ryback then discussed Paige using her Twitch channel to ‘fill the void’ that was left as she could not longer wrestle. “She’s not at that point [of returning to the ring], and it’s very lonely. It’s a sucky feeling, and then watching and being young still and knowing ‘this isn’t my life is anymore?’ This was her outlet for right now, and I feel for her on that.”

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed the contentious AEW Dynamite segment featuring MJF and ‘Le Champion’ Chris Jericho.
The musical segment caused a ton of conversation since it aired on Wednesday, with the actual low rating for that quarter hour of the show adding to the back and forth. It would turn out that the quarter hour had an audience of 676,000 viewers.
Chris Jericho, however, would tout the success of the actual musical number, saying that the minute by minute rating proved it was a success. Jericho tweeted, “Just saw minute by minute ratings for #LeDinnerDebonair. I’m stoked that almost 800k checked out our song and dance! Fifth highest demo for #AEWDynamite as well. Add over a million views on Twitter & it looks like our experiment paid off!”
Ryback’s Take
“I watched the entire thing and was entertained by it” Ryback began on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling podcast. “It caught me completely off guard, I was not expecting that at all. I don’t know if anybody was expecting that!? We’ve ever seen it.”
“I’m not against stuff like that at all” The Big Guy would continue. “Because I think you do need to try things. I mean, that was why I asked that question ‘let’s see what the rating said and if the rating showed an increase? It’s not something you’re gonna do every week. They’re not gonna have Jericho and MJF just do Broadway’s every week you know?”
Ryback would further praise the pair for the creativity of the segment. “I think it was a way to do something outside the box in a creative way at a time where creativity is kind of. We need creativity right now with everything going on. I didn’t hate it at all and I enjoyed it. I watched the entire thing, and I go ‘whoa I’ve never seen anything like this before.’ And I thought, both of them? They pulled that off as well as they could have.”
The Big Guy would finish by discussing how the segment worked from a character standpoint. “They had the the character stuff up front, and I thought it created a really interesting dynamic and story with them. Just how they’re both kind of scumbags and dropping the girls at the same time and doing little things like that. I thought it was really cool and interesting.”

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed Cody Rhodes’ recent ‘turn’ on AEW television. The Big Guy commented on The Nightmare Family leader on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling Report podcast.
Cody came back to AEW Dynamite following the brutal beatdown by Brodie Lee and The Dark Order. Rhodes then returned sporting jet black hair and a darker demeanour overall.
“I think Cody’s gonna be his best as a heel on AEW television” Ryback began on the podcast. “I really think so, and having some people around him? I see him really elevating himself further, and he’s smart enough to know…there’s always a reason with Cody on doing things, you know? He’s very creative.”
“Changing his hair to a darker colour? Having that more sinister look? That’s for a purpose” Ryback would continue. “Whether it plays out this week or in two months? There’s something behind it.”
Ryback would also discuss how ‘time off’ is universally a good reason to make tweaks to your on screen persona. “Anytime you leave television, for like at least a month I would say? You could do it in less time but it’s better the longer you’re out with these kinds of things where you can, You can use it as an opportunity to come back in and put some tweaks on your character.”
The Big Guy would finish by praising Cody further, saying how integral he is to the overall AEW presentation. “He’s such a huge part of that show. The show’s better with him figured in. Overall they need every name on it to help continue to elevate everybody else.”

Ryback decided to go on social media and give his true feelings about Triple H and Vince McMahon.
The former WWE star made it clear in his various responses to fans that he is a fan of pro wrestling, but isn’t fond of WWE. Coming from someone who actually worked at the company, he would know how things work behind the scenes.
At one point, he went after the WWE Chairman and CEO. In fact, he thinks the world, not just the pro wrestling business, will be a better place when McMahon passes away. He did note that this opinion isn’t him having a death wish for McMahon.
“It was ALWAYS the talent. He just created a platform as a human circus that he modified from his father. The guy is a piece of shit, can’t stress this enough. World will be a better place when he passes. This isn’t wishing death, but stating an opinion I believe to be true.”
Ryback also went after Triple H, who currently oversees NXT, as “The Game” is likely the person to take over the company when McMahon does pass away.
“Pussy Paul is not the savior to anything. He will go down with the ship.”
Ryback had a successful run in the WWE that ended once he decided to depart from the company in 2016. He has since focused on his podcast and YouTube channel. You can see his tweets here:
I love wrestling, just don’t care for WWE. Fans need to stop putting the brand above the performers. You’ve all been brainwashed to think Vince is some sort of genius. The guy is as corrupt as a lot of other greedy businesses profiting for bad and need to wake the fuck up. https://t.co/1Vi3NwpsRI
Changing the business model entirely to create the biggest stars on the planet and profit off that rather than running a business that is trying to make the logo the main star for maximum profits. The fans and all involved will win and they would actually increase profits https://t.co/TCZuMkNPyz
100% it will be added into everything I’m doing. I feel better than I have in a long time. A little more work to do and I am not doing anything until full crowds are back. I would never throw away what I’ve gone through to silence. I’m an energy based wrestler and need energy. https://t.co/iEBMTW9SoX
Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed WWE laying off the majority of their Live Events department recently. The Big Guy revealed why he believes the company did so on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling Report this week.
Ryback would state that whilst on the surface WWE have had to remove Live Events due to the COVID-19 pandemic? In reality they had to cut down on dates because of the more attractive offering that All Elite Wrestling has in place.
Ryback on WWE Live Events
“We talked about this before with AEW” Ryback began on the podcast. “Either they’re gonna force WWE to change some of their business tactics, their model and improve. Or WWE is going to just keep slowly burning, because more and more talent are going to leave for this better place with money.”
“The money is just as good or close to as good and [you’re] working one day a week” Ryback continued. “I think they’re [the talent] smart enough to realize [that] because they don’t care about the talent? It’s just the way that it is. They look at this as an opportunity, they can change the business model, because of the circumstances of society in the world. But in reality? they’re changing because they have to change in order to keep talent happier.”
“With the competition, AEW, on the rise? It’s great thing for the wrestlers regardless. But they’ve never stopped Live Events, never” Ryback continued. “Since Vince Jr has taken over? They have never stopped live events, and they never would [if they could avoid it]. He [Vince McMahon] finds a way to make money regardless. Again with AEW and things changing? I think they see this is as…they have to adjust. That’s in order to keep talent happy and from losing more.”

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed his ongoing stem cell treatment and potential return to the ring. The Big Guy addressed his timetable for a in-ring training return on the Shooting Blanks Wrestling Report this week.
Ryback on Treatment
“A lot of my shoulder stuff is still scar tissue related” Ryback began on the podcast. “I see a massage therapist now for three and a half hours [a session], it’s probably going to get moved to four for the next couple weeks. Just breaking up more and more scar tissue that had built up from all that cortisone that was that was pumped into me.”
“My back is great” Ryback continued. “I’m training now, like weight training and conditioning to get ready for wrestling. I’m not going to be taking any time off, like like I did when I got it [stem cells] before. [That was] where I took like two or three months off.”
Escalating Training
Ryback would then reveal that his latest set of stem cell treatment is actually just for good measure; confirming that he is indeed not too far away from a potential return to the ring. “These are just for good measure. Get these and then the training is going to escalate further. I’d say I’ll probably give myself three to four weeks and then hopefully from there be able to get back in a ring and start doing some training low key. Just get myself in there to see how I feel.”
“I don’t, I honestly don’t think I’ll miss a beat. I’ve been out before” Ryback stated. “When I had the ankle injury [in WWE] I didn’t wrestle for a year and a half. Then I got thrown on the road, and came right back after not wrestling for a year and a half. I did dark matches and live events there for like five months but like I went back to live events, working 8, 10, 12, 15 minute matches. [That was] after not practising, nothing. People were saying ‘oh my god you got so much better!’ And I hadn’t even even been practising in-ring.”
Ryback has in the past mentioned his want to join All Elite Wrestling. The Big Guy has stated that he likes the schedule in AEW, he also has close ties to Cody Rhodes, with both having worked in WWE and travelled together for a time.

Former WWE Superstar Ryback recently discussed his ongoing trademark ‘battle’ with the company. You can check out what the full show at The Ryback Show podcast or via Patreon.
“I’m dealing with it now with the Ryback trademark” The Big Guy began on the show. “We’re going into the trademark attorney’s office, they’re going to be deciding this in the next 20 months.”
Ryback on Trademark Battle
Ryback would elaborate further, saying how the situation will be ‘held up’ by WWE to cost him as much as possible in legal fees. “This is going to be tied up, it’s gonna cost me god knows how much in attorneys fees and a lot of time. [I’m] getting the Ryback trademark so they cannot use it and profit off of it in any way. Or expose it or do anything to hurt my brand further that they’ve already done, it’s crazy.”
Ryback would also talk about WWE trying to ‘take’ his social media accounts before he left the company. “When I left there [they were] threatening me to sign over, not only all my social media, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat at the time? [They wanted me to] not change my name [legally from Ryan Reeves to Ryback] AND give them my social media. Which is absurd.”
Feed Me More
The Big Guy would also confirm that the company wanted his assets beyond this, including his podcast and website. “They wanted me to sign over the rights to my website that I owned already; ‘Feed Me More,’ ‘The Big Guy,’ the podcast. They wanted me to sign everything over to them. I was already done, but my contract had not officially expired yet so what they were doing? They were trying to get me to sign everything over to them while that term was still ongoing.”
The Big Guy would finish by discussing how WWE Superstars feel ‘worried’ about contacting him because of concerns over ‘heat’ backstage. Ryback has been public in his dislike of WWE practices ever since he left the company and he states that other performers still in WWE get flack if they’re known to be speaking to him.
“That’s why a lot of them (WWE Superstars) don’t even want to affiliate and talk with me now. Because there’s heat now in that. And there are people that speak up and tell the truth, because this is how they make their living. This is why I was so hell bent on being able to create a living outside of that screwed up world.”
