Why Saraya and Ronnie Radke Ended Their Six-Year Relationship

Saraya and Ronnie Radke of Falling in Reverse were in a relationship for six years, but it came to an end in January 2025. Fans were curious about the reasons behind their breakup, and now Saraya has shed light on the matter.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, Saraya revealed that the breakup was due to the couple simply drifting apart over time.

“I’m doing great, it was meant to be. We’re good friends, though. It ended amicably. We just drifted apart in a way; we’re just better off as friends.

Saraya added that the couple’s respective schedules played a role in the split as both are “geting bigger and so much busier. While Radke was “really sweet,” the pair simply weren’t compatable any more.

We’re just better off as friends. We were friends beforehand and tried to make it work as a relationship. It worked, and then it didn’t.”

Following the breakup, Saraya responded to a fan on X asking if she was trawling for boyfriends, stating “Nope, I’m good.” Only time will tell what the future holds for Saraya, but she remains determined to make 2025 a big year for her, both in pro wrestling and in her personal life.

Saraya Reflects on WWE Career, Teases Possible Comeback

Saraya Confirms Her Current In-Ring Status

Saraya says she is ready to compete now and only waiting for the right opportunity to make her AEW return.

The former women’s champion has not wrestled for AEW since last October. After her feud with Jamie Hayter that started at All In London, the wrestling veteran took time off to focus on other projects.

In a new interview with TMZ, Saraya was asked when she would be returning to the ring. The female star confirmed that she is medically cleared to compete and they’re just waiting on the right storyline to reintroduce her on TV:

“I don’t know. I’m ready to go now. It’s just trying to find the best way to introduce me again. Which I think I would love to go against Mercedes. I think it’s important. She ended my career in a way. It’s wrestling, it happens. But coming back I feel like it’d be really great to face off against her.”

Saraya known as Paige in WWE had to retire from active competition in December 2017 after battling neck issues for a long time. Her last match in the company came at a live event where she suffered a neck injury while taking a kick from Sasha Banks now known as Mercedes Mone in AEW.

Apart from this, the former Total Divas star discussed Nikki Bella’s separation with her husband and the former champion teasing her return to WWE. She also revealed that her current contract with AEW expires later this year. You can check out her comments on the matter here.

Saraya Reflects on WWE Career, Teases Possible Comeback

During her time with WWE, Saraya was regarded as a pioneer in women’s wrestling as her ‘Anti-Diva’ persona won over countless fans. While she has been with AEW for over two years, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of returning to WWE in the future.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Saraya expressed her love and appreciation for WWE when asked about a potential return:

“Yeah, I love WWE. I appreciate everybody there. They made me. They gave me my career, and I’m just appreciative of that. One day—who knows? I love my time in AEW though. My contract’s up with AEW in September, so I don’t know, maybe I’ll stay with them, maybe not, I don’t know.”

Saraya also spoke about how much she has enjoyed her time in AEW. With her contract set to expire in September, she remains uncertain about her next steps. She may choose to stay with AEW or potentially return to WWE, keeping her options open.

Saraya’s most recent appearance was on the October 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, where she competed in a 4-Way AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Match against Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, and Nyla Rose. In 2023, Saraya held the AEW Women’s World Championship, her only title to date so far in the promotion.

Saraya Splits Up With Ronnie Radke

Saraya left WWE in July 2022 when her contract was not renewed, though Triple H did make an effort at the time to bring her back and keep her from AEW. With the Game now fully in charge of WWE’s creative vision, it remains to be seen if a return is in the works for the former Paige.

Saraya Splits Up With Ronnie Radke

Saraya Bevis, known professionally as AEW’s Saraya, and Ronnie Radke, the lead vocalist of Falling in Reverse, have ended their six-year relationship. According to TMZ Sports, the couple broke up late last year. Speculation about their split began over a month ago when Saraya notably did not post a birthday tribute to Radke on December 15, a gesture often made by public couples.

While the reasons for their breakup remain unclear, both maintain demanding schedules. Saraya is actively involved with AEW and other projects, while Radke’s band is heavily booked with gigs. During their time together, Falling in Reverse released the single “Zombified,” which Saraya adopted as her entrance theme in AEW.

Saraya has not appeared on AEW television since the October 8 episode of Dynamite, where she participated in a four-way AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator Match against Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, and Nyla Rose. At the 11th annual Reality Television Awards in November, Saraya revealed she was taking a short break from AEW.

She later addressed speculation about her absence, and said her time off was requested for personal reasons. Saraya reportedly re-signed with AEW in Fall 2024.

Saraya Hints at AEW Return With A New Character

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Saraya has teased her return to television, with a brand new character in store for fans. The 32-year-old star last competed on the October 8 Dynamite: Title Tuesday, where she was on the losing end of a four-way Women’s World Title Eliminator won by Willow Nightingale.

On X, Saraya reposted footage of herself at the 11th Annual Reality Television Awards. Teasing big things to come, the British wrestler told fans to “wait until this version” of herself is back on AEW Dynamite.

Saraya’s suggestion that she’s been working on an evolution of her on-screen persona intrigued fans, many of whom shared their excitement about a return and a new character in the comments. Earlier this month, Saraya rejected a claim that she has been out with an injury, and has instead been working on this new side to her character.

Saraya Takes Out Phoenix Suns Mascot With A Powerful Suplex

Saraya’s time in AEW has already seen dramatic changes, as she debuted as a face in 2022, and had the fans behind her thanks to her emotional return to the ring. In 2023, Saraya transitioned into being a heel, though unsurprisingly had the crowd on her side when she won the AEW Women’s World Title in her native England at All In: London. More recently, Saraya has been aligned with Harley Cameron, and despite being heels, their character work and chemistry has proven popular with many fans.

Now, fans can await a new side to Saraya when she returns to TV, though it remains to be seen when that’ll be. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Saraya as she prepares for her return to All-Elite programming.

Saraya Dismisses Fan Speculation About Her AEW Absence

Saraya joined AEW in 2022, returning to wrestling after initially retiring due to spinal stenosis. Her arrival came with high expectations from fans, who were eager to see what she could bring to the promotion. Throughout her time in AEW, Saraya has faced off against top talent and been featured prominently. She captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In 2023, marking a major milestone in her AEW career.

Recently, however, Saraya’s role within AEW has seemed less central. Her last championship match took place on the August 21 episode of Dynamite, where she lost to Toni Storm in a match lasting under nine minutes. Saraya also came up short against Mariah May during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament quarterfinals.

Saraya was engaged in a storyline with Jamie Hayter that began when Hayter made her return at All In 2024. This feud culminated in a match on the September 25 episode of Collision: Grand Slam, where Hayter scored a decisive victory over Saraya. Most recently, Saraya competed in a Four-Way #1 Contendership Match on Dynamite: Title Tuesday on October 8, facing Hayter, Nyla Rose, and Willow Nightingale. Nightingale emerged as the winner, earning a title shot against Mariah May at WrestleDream.

Since then, Saraya has been noticeably absent from AEW programming. Fans speculated about her status on social media, prompting Saraya to respond on Twitter, clarifying that she is not currently dealing with an injury.

Saraya Re-Signs With AEW

Saraya has reportedly signed a new contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), according to Fightful. This news comes two years after Saraya made her debut with AEW at Dynamite Grand Slam 2022.

Saraya is a former AEW Women’s World Champion, and has wrestled 10 matches this year. She currently leads the Outcasts with Harley Cameron.

At AEW All In, Saraya was confronted by Jamie Hayter. The two have been feuding ever since and they’ll square off this Saturday night on AEW Collision (TNT, 8/7c).

Saraya’s upcoming book, Hell in Boots: Clawing My Way Through Nine Lives, will be released March 25, 2025.

Jamie Hayter Debuts New Look In AEW All In: London 2024 Return

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter has made her return with a new look at All In: London 2024. During the event’s Zero Hour kick-off event, Saraya, joined by an entourage including her family members and Harley Cameron, attempted to hold the show hostage. Saraya refused to let the show go on due to her not being booked. The ex-WWE Superstar captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at last year’s All In: London pay-per-view.

Saraya claimed to be the best women’s wrestler to come out of England, a remark that brought out Hayter to the shock of the fans, Saraya, and her entourage. Hayter arrived with a striking new look and attacked Saraya, sending her fellow former champion running from the ring.

The appearance marks Hayter’s first appearance in AEW since last year’s Double or Nothing in May of 2023. At that event, she lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Toni Storm. Since then, Hayter has been out with a shoulder injury and there was no timeline for her return as of February of this year.

Hayter had been AEW Women’s World Champion for over six months when her injury took place, and she has been with AEW full-time since August 2021. Stay tuned to SE Scoops for the latest on Jamie Hayter and all the excitement of All In: London 2024.

Update On Saraya’s AEW Contract Ahead of All In: London 2024

More has come to light about Saraya’s current status with AEW as the former Women’s World Champion seeks a role at All In: London. Saraya’s deal with AEW extends until at least September, Fightful Select reports, and the two sides have “at least been in talks” about extending her current deal for a year.

Saraya joined AEW in 2022 after a unique exit from WWE which saw the promotion reportedly try and re-sign her after Triple H took over. Saraya’s time in AEW saw her return to the ring after a nearly five-year retirement. Saraya has since feuded with top talent including Britt Baker and Toni Storm and is currently aligned with Harley Cameron.

Saraya’s Journey to AEW All In: London 2024

At AEW All In: London 2023, Saraya captured the AEW Women’s World Championship, her first title victory in close to a decade. Her reign would come to an end mere weeks later when she lost the gold to Hikaru Shida.

Saraya isn’t booked for AEW All In: London 2024, a matter that the British wrestler has taken issue with. On this week’s Dynamite in Cardiff, Wales, Saraya will challenge Women’s World Champion ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm. A victory would ensure Saraya a place in Wembley Stadium as Mariah May will challenge for the gold this weekend. Fightful adds that Saraya does not officially have a match for All In: London at this time, but is “planned for the show.”

Saraya May Not Wrestle at AEW All In London 2024

On the August 16th episode of AEW Rampage, Saraya appeared alongside Harley Cameron, reflecting on her journey and expressing frustration over not being scheduled for AEW All In.

This led to an in-ring confrontation with current AEW Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm. The two exchanged heated words, and Storm eventually agreed to defend her title against Saraya on the August 21st episode of AEW Dynamite in Wales ahead of All In at Wembley Stadium.

What This Means for Saraya and AEW All In

The outcome of the match between Saraya and Toni Storm on Dynamite could have significant implications for AEW All In London.

While Saraya is determined to reclaim the title she once held, there is a very strong possibility that she may not be part of the All In card if she fails to capture the championship.

Toni Storm is already slated to defend her title at AEW All In against Mariah May, which leaves Saraya’s status uncertain, and there is absolutely zero chance that Toni is losing this match against Saraya on Wednesday night.

AEW All In 2023

Saraya winning the AEW Women’s Championship was a major part of the first All In show, with the former WWE Divas Champion beating Hikaru Shida (c), Dr. Britt Baker DMD and Toni Storm in a four way match.

The former Paige would then celebrate with her family in the ring after the match, so she has already had her big moment at Wembley, but it will sting if she is not able to get onto the card this year.

What COULD happen is a match between Saraya and Harley Cameron, with AEW having the chance to have Harley turn on her friend this week on Dynamite.

Saraya: ‘I Learned Of AEW Women’s World Title Win At The Last Minute’

Saraya was only informed that she’d be winning the AEW Women’s World Championship at the last minute, according to the wrestler herself. Saraya’s victory came at AEW All In: London 2023 where she won the gold in a four-way that included Britt Baker, Toni Storm, and then-Champion Hikaru Shida. Not only did Saraya win the gold in her hometown, but she had quite the entrance with her family to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You.’

Sitting down with the Broad Ideas podcast, Saraya said that before they arrived in England, the four women had no clue who was going to win, and made up finishes that’d see each woman win. It was only when Tony Khan arrived fresh from a Fulham FC match that the four finally learned the plan. [h/t POST Wrestling]

“[Tony Khan] flew in, you know, at last-second as we’re about to leave because the show was the next day and he was like, ‘Oh, you’re going over, you’re gonna win’ and I cried… With championships, you’re like, yes, it’s predetermined, right? But they trust in you to be the face of that company but I never thought I would be in this position again.”

Saraya’s victory in London marked her first championship win in close to a decade, with her previous victory seeing her regain the WWE Divas Championship at SummerSlam 2014. Given that she lost nearly five years of her career due to a neck injury, it’s not hard to see why Saraya feared her days of winning gold in wrestling had ended. Though that injury came at the hands of Mercedes Mone, Saraya isn’t afraid to get back in the ring with the CEO.

Saraya’s reign as AEW Women’s World Champion would last 44 days before she lost the gold to Hikaru Shida on Dynamite: Title Tuesday in October 2023. While Saraya holds the unfortunate honor of having the least amount of days of any AEW Women’s World Champion, capturing a title again meant a lot to Saraya who has vowed to appear at AEW All In: London 2024 this August.

Mercedes Mone: ‘Saraya Is More Than Welcome To Get Back In The Ring with Me’

Mercedes Mone is ready to take on all-comers in AEW and that could result in her stepping in the ring once again with Saraya.

The pair last competed in December 2017 as part of a WWE live event under the names of Sasha Banks and Paige. It was a dropkick by Mone that resulted in Saraya suffering a neck injury that would force her into retirement. Saraya, who has never blamed Mone for what she has called a freak accident, would only wrestle again after joining AEW in 2022.

With Mone and Saraya now both All-Elite talent, there has been speculation of a feud between the pair given their history. When asked about a possible match by The New York Post, Mone was more than ready for the challenge.

“I’m here to face everybody, every woman here. So if she [Saraya] wants to be on the list, she’s more than welcome to wrestle me.”

Could Saraya and Mercedes Mone face off in AEW?

What’s to Come?

It remains to be seen if Mone and Saraya lock horns in AEW but the CEO’s more immediate future will see her compete later today. At AEW Double or Nothing, Mone will make her AEW in-ring debut when she faces TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. Ironically, it was Mone who suffered an injury the last time she faced Nightingale which cost her a year of competition.

Their grudge match is being billed as one of three main events for AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Mone Vs. Nightingale is being promoted alongside Anarchy in the Arena and AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland Vs. Christian Cage.

Saraya Returning To In-Ring Action For The First Time In 3 Months

Saraya is set to return to the ring on next week’s AEW Dynamite.

Next week’s edition of AEW Dynamite will emanate from the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. It will be the final build before the promotion’s, Double Or Nothing pay-per-view that takes place on Sunday, May 26. It has been announced that Saraya will be teaming with Harley Cameron and face the duo of ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm and Mariah May.

This will mark Saraya’s first match in over three months. In her last match before in-ring hiatus, she teamed with Ruby Soho to take on Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale on the February 7 edition of AEW Rampage. The 31-year-old star endured not only a defeat but a betrayal from Ruby Soho in that match. Soho left the Brit wrestler in the ring during the match and it put an end to the former’s association with The Outcasts.

Saraya, who is set to co-host MTV Catfish, had formed The Outcasts by recruiting Toni Storm and Ruby Soho in January last year. However, Storm turned her back on the stable at All Out last year. She then recruited Harley Cameron, the only member currently on the former AEW Women’s World Champion’s side.

Other matches announced

More matches are lined up for the show. Konosuke Takeshita will lock horns with Matt Sydal. Meanwhile, Hook, Katsuyori Shibata, and Bryan Keith will battle in a three-way match to determine the number one contender for the FTW Championship match against Chris Jericho at Double Or Nothing.

AEW International Champion Roderick Strong will join forces with Trent Beretta and face the pair of Orange Cassidy and Will Ospreay.

Kyle O’Reilly is also set to go head-to-head with The House of Black leader, Malakai Black.

The Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson has a huge task at his hands as he will face Satnam Singh.

Ahead of his title defense at Double or Nothing, the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will take on Nick Wayne.

Skye Blue Grateful For Support After Being Harassed By Unruly Fan At AEW/ROH Event

Multiple names from Ring of Honor were commended backstage for their conduct during an unfortunate incident at the most recent tapings. ROH tapings took place after the May 8, episode of Dynamite and saw a ‘fan’ act inappropriately during a match between Skye Blue and Rachel Ellering. The man, who had a child with him, made a series of sexual comments at Blue and focused on her appearance. Blue would later tell the man to “not be such a pervert” and later told the man to “f*** off” when the action spilled to the outside, according to one live report from PWInsider

Skye Blue

While Blue and Ellering were battling on the floor, referee Aubrey Edwards spoke with security who confronted the man who grew increasingly angry. The man was ejected from the show.

Skye Blue was said to be visibly upset as she headed to the backstage area immediately after the match according to a different fan’s account of the situation shared to Reddit. AEW officials praised Skye and Ellering for keeping the match together despite the obvious distraction at ringside.

Support for Skye Blue

The clearly-inappropriate conduct from the fan has spawned a lot of responses on social media. On Twitter, Rachel Ellering said she’d never heard such vulgar comments said about a wrestler and made clear this went beyond mere heckling.

Aubrey Edwards made clear she wouldn’t tolerate such comments made at anyone, stating that inappropriate conduct has no place in professional wrestling.

Skye Blue Reacts

Skye Blue herself was appreciative of the support she received and hopes that there’ll be a time when women in wrestling aren’t treated this way.

This unfortunately wasn’t the only time lines were crossed at the taping. During the AEW Dynamite match between Harley Cameron and Mariah May, fans in the front row were heard making vulgar comments at the pair. This was pointed out on the show by Saraya. While it’s unclear if this incident was caused by the same person in Blue’s situation, Saraya made her views clear on social media.

The comments aimed at Blue and others at the taping were highly inappropriate and do not reflect the vast majority of people who attended the tapings of AEW Dynamtie and ROH. Hopefully, this will be the last time Blue, Cameron, Saraya, May, and others have to deal with this individual as his harassment was certainly not wanted at the show.

Daily Drop (4/24): AEW Women’s Locker Room Speaks Out, Unexpected Bray Wyatt Tribute Appears, New NXT Champion Crowned

Welcome to the Daily Drop for Wednesday, April 24, 2024. WWE NXT brought Spring Breakin’ Week One last night, and there is a lot to unpack all over the pro wrestling world.

Before we get started, we must acknowledge Trick Williams, the new NXT Champion. He made it to the top of NXT during Spring Breakin’ Week One, as he toppled Ilja Dragunovfrom his seemingly unbeatable perch on top of the NXT brand. Triple H also responded to William’s historic win, where he praised the new NXT Champion.

WWE:

No More No-Competes: In a landmark decision handed down on Tuesday, all non-compete contracts in the United States are banned. The Federal Trade Commission voted 3-2 to ban non-compete agreements for all workers, with the new rules effective in the next 120 days. We will keep a very close eye on this story, because WWE Superstars are considered independent contractors and not full-fledged employees. Needless to say, this could dramatically change how WWE contracts are handled.

Cameron Grimes’ Release: The former NXT North American Champion’s name was added to the recent list of released Superstars. He hadn’t appeared on WWE television in a very long time, so this cut wasn’t a massive surprise. He let everyone know about this with an emotional video message on Twitter/X. Matt Hardy, who has known Grimes since he was literally born, has been incredibly supportive on social media.

Jey Uso Speaks On WrestleMania 40 Match: While speaking to the Gorilla Position, Jey Uso opened up a bit about his match against Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania 40. He knows that some people were disappointed by the match, and he felt like he let some fans down by how their contest turned out.

“I just said this to someone. I kinda felt like we did let the people down. [Really, you feel that?] Yeah, man, cuz I wanted to go out there and have a straight up banger too. I wanted to do the wrestling part but let alone make sure the emotion part is there. It was just a time issue. You know what I’m saying? You just gotta play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though, uce, I got a singles match at WrestleMania with my brother. That’s a big picture. So, I’mma always have me and him in a face-off at WrestleMania. I’mma frame a picture, that’s always, it’s marked off our box.”

NXT Spring Breakin’ Week 2: The NXT brand announced a packed card for next week’s Spring Breakin’ show on 4/30. That included an NXT Tag Team Title match.

WWE NXT 4/30 Card:

  • NXT North American Champion Oba Femi defends against Ivar
  • NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom defend against Akam & Rezar
  • NXT Underground match: Natalya (w/Karmen Petrovic) vs. Lola Vice (w/Shayna Baszler)
  • Thea Hail vs. Jacy Jayne
  • Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe debut

Raven Shoots Hard: Raven had a lot to say about how Hulk Hogan treated him. He also shared a story or two about drugs in the pro wrestling business. You may check out the entire interview from Ten Count Media below.

Bray Wyatt Tribute: At the Cage Warriors 171 event in Glasgow, Scotland, MMA fighter Chris Bungard honored the Eater of Worlds with a tribute. Bungard entered the arena dressed in Bray’s signature Wyatt Family look, complete with hat and shirt. He also sang “The Whole World in His Hands,” a children’s song that was long-associated with the late WWE legend.

AEW:

AEW Dynamite 4/24 card:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Powerhouse Hobbs – IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Kyle Fletcher – AEW World Championship Eliminator match
  • Mina Shirakawa vs. Anna Jay
  • Willow Nightingale’s Championship Celebration
  • Chris Jericho to speak
  • Chuck Taylor to choose between Orange Cassidy and Trent Beretta

Kenny Omega’s Return: Although he is still out of action with diverticulitis, Kenny Omega is being advertised for the May 1 episode of Dynamite in Winnipeg. The past we heard, Omega may need surgery, so we will have to see how they use Omega, if he can make the show in his home city.

AEW Women’s Division Speaks Out: Saraya uploaded a third video, which she claims will be the final edition, with the AEW Women’s Division letting fans know what it’s like to be a female wrestler. A lot of the information from this video pertains to creepy fan behavior.

AEW Collision Viewership: The April 20th edition of AEW Collision attracted an average overnight viewership of 461,000 viewers, maintaining a rating of 0.13 in the 18 to 49 demographic. This represents an increase from the previous show, which had 442,000 viewers and the same demographic rating of 0.13.

Upcoming PPV’s and PLE’s:

Here are the upcoming major wrestling events

  • Saturday, May 4: WWE Backlash France (PLE)
  • Sunday, May 26: NXT Battleground (PLE)
  • Sunday, May 26: AEW Double or Nothing (PPV)

Saraya Announces New AEW Signing During Rampage

AEW star Saraya recently made an important announcement during this week’s AEW Rampage. She revealed that her brother Zak Knight has signed with AEW.

Saraya had been endorsing her brother to wrestle in AEW last year. Ahead of the December 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan gave Knight his opportunity. He went on to make his in-ring debut for ROH in a match that aired on the December 28 Ring of Honor TV episode last year. He also wrestled for the company twice in January, with matches airing on the January 11 show, and the January 25 episode.

Now, he is officially a part of the AEW roster as per Saraya.

Saraya announces signing of Zak Knight

During Friday’s AEW Rampage, the former AEW Women’s World Champion introduced her brother, who is an independent wrestling veteran Zak Knight and stated that he has inked a deal with Tony Khan’s company.

In a backstage promo with Harley Cameron & Renee Paquette, Saraya presented Knight and said that they come from wrestling royalty in the United Kingdom. She stated that she had planned to set Ruby Soho up with her brother before Soho paired up with Angelo Parker. However, Knight did not speak in the promo segment.

On a related note, the movie “Fighting with My Family,” was based on Saraya’s life in pro wrestling. The movie was released in 2019. Also, the 2012 documentary “The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family,” followed Saraya’s career and journey to WWE while also showing her brother Zak failed to make it to the same level.

We will have to wait and see what’s in store for Zak Knight, now that he has joined AEW.

Saraya Takes Out Phoenix Suns Mascot With A Powerful Suplex

AEW star Saraya recently showed her wrestling prowess outside the ring during a recent NBA game on Tuesday night.

Saraya is certainly one of the most popular stars of AEW. She has shown incredible in-ring prowess over the years. But this time around, she displayed her power outside the ring.

The former Paige made an appearance during an NBA game between Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. In a video clip that has emerged on social media, Saraya could be seen having a fun time slamming The Suns’ mascot, Go the Gorilla.

Go the Gorilla is one of the most famous mascots in the NBA. Making his debut in 1988, he has become one of the most well-known mascots in the league. His wild antics and dance moves are renowned to get the fans excited for the game and to entertain them. He is an essential element of the culture and identity of the Phoenix Suns. Before becoming the official mascot of the Phoenix Suns, he would frequently make guest appearances during games to amuse the audience.

Saraya suplexes Go The Gorilla

A video clip on Twitter/X saw Saraya on the court during the match alongside the Suns mascot. The Outcasts leader could be seen kicking the mascot before hitting a snap suplex on him. However, the mascot no-sold the move and they hugged it out following the sequence.

Saraya is currently leading The Outcasts having Ruby Soho and Harley Cameron by her side. The British star last competed on the Homecoming edition of AEW Dynamite when she teamed up with Ruby Soho, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue to face Anna Jay, Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa & Willow Nightingale in a losing effort.

Saraya’s brother wrestled before AEW Dynamite

Zak Knight has finally competed in front of an All Elite Wrestling and Ring Of Honor audience. His sister, Saraya, has been advocating for her brother to wrestle in AEW for a few months. Ahead of the December 20 episode of AEW Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan gave Knight his opportunity.

Knight shared on Twitter on December 19 that he had been in the United States for the month and was traveling with AEW. In the tweet, he spoke highly of the company and the backstage environment and thanked Khan for giving him the opportunity. This caught fans’ attention, but it was unclear when he would wrestle for the company.

The following day, he posted a photo of himself and Saraya standing at the entrance ramp for AEW Dynamite hours before the show. On Twitter, The Franchise Sports’s Sean Thurmond shared that Knight faced Peter Avalon in a taped match before the episode. The photo Thurmond shared of Knight and Avalon in action showed them wrestling for a ROH. It was also noted that the debuting talent won the match.

It’s unclear if it will be shown on a future episode of ROH on Honor Club. That said, Saraya got her wish, and Knight was able to showcase his skills in front of an AEW and ROH audience.

After making his debut and getting a win, it’s possible Knight could be making more appearances for either AEW or ROH.

What’s Next For Zak Knight?

Knight revealed that he will travel from December 28 until January 21, 2024. He has a Visa to work in the U.S. and Canada and posted on Twitter on December 10 that he is accepting bookings for January.

While he is the Shropshire Wrestling Alliance Champion, Knight is looking to explore his options next year. It’s possible that Khan could book Knight for more appearances, as his availability seems open for now.

For Saraya, she’ll likely want to see the AEW President give her brother more chances and potentially make him “All Elite” in 2024.

Saraya Cut Down On Social Media Activity To Avoid AEW Fines From Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has a lot of responsibilities in AEW, and they are not limited to the pro wrestling ring. He is also on the company’s disciplinary committee, and it was recently unveiled that he is in charge of issuing fines to talent over social media behavior he deems to put the company in a bad light.

The Backstory of AEW Fining Talent

Mike Santana was recently fined for complaining about not being on AEW television in 6 weeks. The amount of the fine wasn’t disclosed, but Bryan Danielson is behind it.

Saraya consistently finds the need to express herself, be it within or outside the wrestling ring. Sometimes those words result in a less-than-savory tweet. Regardless of her actions, fans consistently offer significant support. However, she has engaged in numerous disputes with fans on social media in recent months as well. That may not fall in line with AEW’s social media policy.

https://twitter.com/IWrestleverse/status/1733476343176663089

Saraya Explains Her Social Media Absence

On Twitter, Saraya addressed a fan who suggested that her reduced Twitter activity was due to Bryan Danielson imposing fines on AEW talent for their tweets. This fan posted a photo of Danielson, along with some funeral music, and a caption reading: “Wondered why I haven’t seen any tweets from Saraya lately.”

Saraya clarified that she merely took an extended break from social media and asserted her autonomy over her Twitter account, emphasizing that no one can dictate her actions.

I took a long social media break. Not because anyone told me not to haha. Ain’t no one telling sh*t about my twitter I can do what I want.

Saraya also used a hand-heart emoji to cap off her post. Apparently, she’s staying quiet on social media to protect herself from fines. After all, she is known for being very free-spoken.

Saraya Pulling for AEW to Introduce New Championships

Saraya may not have been with AEW as long as others on the roster, but she has big plans for new championship gold to be introduced.

Later this month, the former WWE Divas Champion will reach her six-month anniversary with AEW, after debuting on last year’s Grand Slam: Dynamite.

In that time, Saraya has returned to in-ring competition, turned heel, and challenged for the AEW Women’s World Championship.

New Championships

It was at last weekend’s Revolution event that Saraya came up short in her pursuit of the AEW Women’s World title match, her first championship match since the Summer of 2016.

In addition to being the first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Champion, the former Paige is a two-time WWE Divas Champion and plans on adding AEW Women’s Tag Gold to her collection.

When AEW celebrated International Women’s Day on Twitter, Saraya said the perfect celebration would be to introduce Women’s Tag Team Championships.

In recent weeks, Saraya has been aligned with Toni Storm, and added Ruby Soho to their clique at Revolution 2023.

Tag Team Titles

AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles haven’t been introduced yet, but it is something that has been on the mind of Tony Khan.

Speaking on the AEW Double or Nothing 2022 media call, Khan was asked by AJ Awesome about the possibility of AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles.

“Yeah, I have (thought about them). We have a lot of great wrestlers in AEW and a lot of great women’s and men’s wrestlers in AEW. I have thought about doing those and as we continue to expand the roster and hopefully get more teams and get some people who have been injury and on the shelf, back, that would be something I would love to do in the future.”

Neither Khan nor the AEW account has responded to Saraya’s tweet at this time.

Saraya Names Free Agent She Wants To See In AEW

Since its inception in 2019, the AEW women’s division has steadily grown in size and strength.

Dr. Britt Baker emerged as an early pillar, and arguable face, of the division, standing at the forefront for the majority of her tenure. The integration of a secondary title — the TBS Championship — then opened a window of opportunity for more talent to be regularly showcased on company programming. With another hour of programming added to their schedule on Rampage as well, All Elite Wrestling has allowed a vast expansion of their women’s roster.

One of those newer additions include former WWE Divas Champion Saraya. At Full Gear in November, she returned to in-ring action for the first time in nearly five years, defeating Britt Baker. On January 11, she geared up for her second match back, teaming with Toni Storm in a losing effort against Baker and AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter. While Saraya’s own appearances in AEW have garnered great buzz, “The Glampire” wants to see another talent get time in the spotlight.

“I wanna see @thetayavalkyrie in @aew” she tweeted on Sunday.

La Wera Loca In AEW?

taya valkyrie impact

Taya Valkyrie, of course, has made successful rounds on the professional wrestling circuit, especially in the past year. In 2022, Valkyrie held championships in major promotions like Impact, MLW, and AAA.

Valkyrie quickly responded to Saraya’s message, writing “Ilysm”.

Though Valkyrie’s venture into AEW is unconfirmed at this time, she previously stated she was open to competing there. Her husband, known as John Morrison in WWE, made his AEW debut last year, facing Samoa Joe in the opening round of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. He went on to accumulate two more appearances, once on Dark, and a match against Miro on Dynamite in June.

Saraya Lashes Out At “Neckbeard” Fans Hating On Social Media

AEW star Saraya recently had some choice words for her critics on social media.

Last year saw the former WWE Divas Champion made a surprise return to the ring. A neck injury sustained in the ring led to Saraya, then known as Paige in the WWE, to announce her retirement from in-ring competition.

Almost five years later, she joined AEW and quickly entered into a program with Britt Baker. Baker, arguably the face of the women’s division in AEW, put Saraya over in her return match at Full Gear in November 2022.

Since then, the Norwich-born star has continued her feud with Baker and her ally AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter.

In a recent tweet, the former Total Divas star lashed out at the hate she gets online. Over the years, Saraya has had to deal with her fair shares of trolls, many of whom have targeted controversies in her personal life.

“Lower That Blood Pressure Brothers” – Saraya On Online Haters

In the tweet, Saraya takes aim at her haters, citing more recent trolling thrown her way. Dismissing it as hate towards her finally getting to wrestle again, she ends the tweet off with some footage from a recent match. On AEW Dynamite, the former NXT ace and Toni Storm teamed up to face Baker and Hayter.

The footage shared by Saraya on Twitter shows her performing a front flip off the apron onto Hayter before screaming her signature ‘This is my house’ catchphrase.

“The amount of neckbeards lately angry sweating while they mad type underneath every post I do just because I’m happy wrestling again is nuts. Lower that blood pressure brothers. Don’t wanna pass out because of lil ol’ me. Anyways. Here’s a clip of me wrestling.”

Saraya has recently expressed interest in potentially venturing into intergender wrestling in AEW. The wrestling subgenre has enjoyed a fair bit of interest at the independent level in more recent years but is rarely brought into play by mainstream promotions such as AEW and WWE. The former Absolution leader cited Chris Jericho as the primary male star on the AEW roster she’d potentially like to work an angle with.

Saraya on Intergender Wrestling in AEW, “I’d Love to Do Matches Like That”

All Elite Wrestling superstar Saraya wouldn’t mind participating in intergender wrestling matches in AEW.

Intergender wrestling matches I’ve caused debate throughout the years between wrestling fans. Some critics may say they don’t like seeing men wrestle women. However, people that support intergender wrestling may point out that it creates equal opportunity and that men and women should be able to work together. It’s a wrestling debate that doesn’t have a right or wrong answer but could depend on a fan’s preference.

Saraya spoke about possibly facing a male wrestler in AEW on the Whoo’s House Podcast. The AEW talent shared that she’s open to having an intergender match but doesn’t think fans would like it.

“I feel like people are really sensitive in this world currently, and it’s really hard to do matches like that without someone being offended by it. I would love to do matches like that.”

Who Would Saraya Face in an Intergender Match?

Chris Jericho
(AEW)

As Saraya discussed possibly having an intergender match, DJ Whoo Kid asked about challenging Chris Jericho. She added that it is something that she has thought about with her boyfriend, Ronnie Radke.

“…It writes itself. I said even Ronnie even wanted to become part of it, like a storyline to do something against Chris Jericho,” said Saraya. Radke added that he loves Jericho, so it’s unclear if he wants to get physical with Jericho.

Saraya continued, “…He’s such a good bad guy. He plays a very good bad guy and people just love to hate him but I feel like they would have such a good storyline. I would love to wrestle one of the guys. If I have to beat up Chris Jericho, Chris Jericho I’m sure he’d be like ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ He doesn’t care, he’s very selfless worker. He’s a good guy. He’ll wrestle anybody and if he has to let somebody win he’d be like ‘Absolutely.’ There’s never an ego there, he’s always just like ‘Sure.’ He just wants to help people.

After praising Jericho’s selflessness, she joked that if they wrestled, she’d “…beat that sh*t out of him.” It’s unclear if Jericho would be interested in doing an intergender match. Fans may remember Jericho had a rivalry with WWE Hall of Famer Chyna in the 90s. However, Jericho is currently in a feud with Ricky Starks and Action Andretti.

Saraya has put the idea to the public, and it’s up to AEW and Jericho to make it happen.

Saraya Teases She’ll Have Special Guests at AEW Dynamite

Saraya is bringing back up to AEW Dynamite tonight when she teams with Toni Storm to take on Britt Baker and AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter.

This will mark Sarayay’s second match in AEW as she worked her first match since 2017 last November at the Full Gear pay-per-view event against Bakker.

The match has drawn a lot of buzz, with many expecting Mercedes Mone to be involved in some capacity. Originally, Saraya announced that she would have a mystery partner that she would pick, which sparked speculation the former Sasha Banks would be filling that role.

The former WWE star had to wait out her non-compete clause that expired on January 1 before she made her NJPW debut just days later at Wrestle Kingdom 17 when she confronted KAIRI.

The Tease

AEW later announced that Storm would be teaming up with Saraya. There’s been speculation that Mone could show up after the match. Saraya stated during a Twitch live stream today that she has used two tickets she was given b yBaker.

Saraya stated, “Britt did give me two tickets, and they were put to good use, so thank you, Britt!”

We will have to wait and see who Saraya gave her tickets to for tonight’s Dynamite from the Forum in Los Angeles, CA.

Saraya Proud of Sasha Banks for Knowing Her Worth & Betting on Herself

AEW star Saraya is proud of Sasha Banks for having the guts to walk out of WWE when she felt undervalued and mistreated.

Banks now a free agent for the first time in many years. WWE attempted to re-sign her to a new deal, but the two sides failed to reach an agreement. The Legit Boss will now embark on a new chapter in her storied career. Later this week, she’s expected to attend NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom pay-per-view from the Tokyo Dome and explore other opportunities in wrestling, the entertainment industry and beyond.

Saraya tells Alistair McGeorge of Metro.co.uk that she’s proud of her former colleague for taking her career into her own hands.

“… She knows her worth and she knows she wants to be treated a certain way, and she deserves to be treated that way because she’s done a lot for the wrestling business.”

– Saraya proud of Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks is one of the rare attractions in pro wrestling who moves the needle, in terms of ‘butts in seats’ and merchandise sales. Her army of fans tune in and pay up to see her in action. We haven’t seen Banks on television since May 2022, so there is pent-up demand to see what she’ll will do next.

Banks is now in control of her own destiny. She’ll soon be wrestling in Japan, but maintains the flexibility to work wherever her schedule allows.

Saraya says whoever gets to work with Sasha Banks will be very lucky.” She “selfishly” admits that she hopes they cross paths again.

‘Wherever she ends up, I’m gonna be happy for her, and anyone that gets her is gonna be very, very lucky,” she said. “I just selfishly hope that I get to wrestle her one day,’ she admitted.
