Sasha Banks finally made her return to WWE programming after months of speculation during this week’s Raw and she instantly got involved with the ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch.

While Sasha did not say anything about her return during the segment, she made her first comments on the events of the show through a couple of interesting tweets.

The first tweet was sent just minutes before she made her return and in the tweet, as seen below, the former Women’s Champion quoted rapper Kendrick Lamar:

The second tweet was a response to Becky Lynch’s recent promo where she took some shots on Banks. Replying to a clip of the interview, Sasha posted a clip of her own in which a different woman named Becky is addressed as a “dumbass b—h.”:

Banks made her return during a segment on Raw which saw Natalya remembering her father. While at first, Banks looked to be consoling the Canadian Star, she ended up turning heel and attacking Nattie shortly afterward.

This resulted in Becky Lynch coming out and trying to make the save. However, Sasha managed to get the upper hands in the confrontation between the two and she then unleashed a vicious attack on Lynch using a chair.

The events of Raw suggest that we will be a seeing a Becky Lynch- Sasha Banks feud in the near future and it would be interesting to see how this rivalry plays out after Banks’ heel turn.

Sasha Banks has made her surprise return to WWE television. 

During Monday’s episode of RAW in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena, Banks shocked fans by making an appearance. She interrupted a promo that Natalya was doing about losing at SummerSlam and her late father, Jim Neidhart. Banks walked down to the ring and attacked Natalya. 

This led to WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch running down to make the save. They got into a brawl and left Lynch laying with a series of chair shots. Banks is now sporting blue hair. 

Banks’ status has been up in the air after it was reported that she tried to quit during WrestleMania 35 weekend.

Banks hasn’t wrestled or even been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 when she and Bayley lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles. 

She did meet with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon in late May but at the time, there was no word yet on what her future was with the company. 

Many thought that Banks would return on the RAW Reunion Special at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida last month after the arena had one point advertised her to appear but that wasn’t the case.

Dolph Ziggler is known to be a heel on and off WWE television, which is exactly what he did to a fan who told him that he was going to be speared into next year by WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. 

The two stars are just 24 hours away from stepping into the squared circle at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event. Ziggler wrote the following on his official Twitter account:

Sasha Banks’ New Look

Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Sasha Banks shared a new post on Instagram that showed off the change to her hairstyle. 

Banks, who is most known for sporting purple hair, is now blonde, as seen in these photos: 

Banks has not been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 where after the show, it was reported that she tried to quit the company. There’s still no word yet on when she’ll make a return to in-ring action. 

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch got fans talking while doing an interview with Sky Sports to promote the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event that takes place this Sunday. 

Right out of the gate, Lynch was asked about wrestling Sasha Banks, which is when things got interesting. 

“If Sasha Banks could hack it and she just didn’t get her jacket and she’s off crying like Ronda Rousey, then I would love to face her. Unfortunately, she couldn’t take losing.”

Lynch would fire up while seemingly cutting a promo by noting that Lynch lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and she was gone.

She noted that some people can’t hack losing, can’t step up and realize when you lose it’s just a chance to get better.

The champ continued by noting that it’s a chance to learn and grow. Instead, of doing that, Banks is talking about the wind and the butterflies on social media. Lynch added that Banks should come find her if she wants it.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champions Bayley recently did an interview with talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy that is set to be released on Thursday. 

McCarthy sent out an excerpt from the interview on Twitter that included Bayley’s comments on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. 

This is where she noted that she felt the company didn’t give them a fair chance with the titles during their reign. 

Bayley said, “We thought Sasha and I would be given that chance and we weren’t. We then thought the IIconics would get that chance, they didn’t really.” 

She added that she wished the best to Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss, who just won the titles, with their reign as she thinks “the titles have so much potential.”

Banks hasn’t wrestled or even been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 when she and Bayley lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles. 

Banks reportedly wanted to leave the company over WrestleMania weekend. She remains under contract with the company and had a meeting with Vince McMahon earlier this summer to hash things out. That’s the latest on her status with WWE. 

Bayley and Banks won the titles to become the inaugural champions back at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in February.

For fans who have been hoping to see former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks make her WWE TV return, some bad news has surfaced. 

Originally, the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida was advertising Banks for next week’s episode of RAW. As a result, it led to speculation that she could return next week. However, that’s not the case. 

The official website of the arena has updated its promotional material for this show and she is no longer listed.

Sasha Banks is currently visiting Japan. Photos of the former 4x RAW women’s champion have been surfacing online with the likes of Naomichi Marufuji and other notable wrestlers.

Banks has recently been spotted along with Meiko Satomura training with members of the Sendai Girls promotion.

Satomura made it all the way to the semi-finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic. She was later defeated by Toni Storm, however.

Banks responded to Satomura’s Tweet thanking her for the experience.

When Is Sasha Banks Returning?

Banks is believed to have met with Vince McMahon in May about a possible return date. It was then reported Banks would likely be returning to WWE this summer. A slip up by a venue hosting RAW in July may have given away her exact return date, however.

Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen in WWE since she and Bayley lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35. The women who would walk away victorious that night were Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, The IIconics.

This win surprised the WWE Universe, as many believed that Banks and Bayley were primed for a long run with the championships.

It appears the reason for the change was to set up a feud between The IIconics and The Bella Twins.

The news was revealed on a recent episode of The Bella Twins podcast.

“Bella Twins Were Coming Back In A Big Way”

During the show, Nikki divulged more information about her neck issues. She also spoke about the plans that had been put in place for a Bella return, post-WrestleMania.

“Brie and I, we were gonna come back and fight for the tag titles after WrestleMania and we were gonna go against The IIconics for a few months,” Nikki said.

She explained that “Deep down inside, I kept having this weird feeling that I needed to get an x-ray on my neck because, for a while, I wasn’t feeling okay. Brie knows that in December after Evolution, I just kept telling her that I feel off and my head doesn’t feel right…”

Brie added that they had gear ready, and the two of them were fully prepared for their return to in-ring action—despite only having retired weeks prior.

“We were ready,” Nikki said. “Bella Twins were coming back in a big way.”

They were meant to start the feud on the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania. Nikki Bella’s MRI results would scupper those plans after doctors informed her her neck was fully herniated. She was also told they had discovered a benign cyst on her brain. They warned her that one bad landing could lead to paralysis.

The IIconics haven’t had a notable feud since winning the championships. Though they have been competing against Asuka and Kairi Sane at Live Events, the duo have yet to defend them on a pay-per-view.

Sasha Banks may be in Japan, meeting with notable Japanese pro wrestlers and once again sporting her trademark purple hair, but it seems that she will be imminently returning to WWE programming.

The Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida recently updated their website and currently list Banks as one of the Superstars scheduled to appear when they host RAW on July 22nd.

It’s worth noting that the site has the standard “Card is Subject to Change” caveat. So, although the arena is advertising her appearance, things may change between now and the 22nd.

Time Off

Sasha Banks hasn’t featured on WWE television since WrestleMania 35, where she and Bayley lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

The two were allegedly deeply unhappy with WWE’s decision as they believed they would have a long run with the titles.

It’s been reported that she has had meetings with Vince McMahon, where she was able to air some of her grievances. Her relationship with the company is said to have improved because of these discussions.

Despite this, she was still given some time away due to her creative frustrations.

For what it’s worth, Banks was also recently in Orlando, Florida. She was working with WWE on the upcoming video game, WWE 2K20.

Sasha Banks is currently on vacation in Japan and is sporting here signature purple hair once again. The return to her ‘WWE look’ has fans excited that her inevitable return to the company will be happening in the near future.

Despite speculation about the possibility of Sasha Banks leaving WWE, company sources have repeatedly told us her return has been an a question of “when” and not “if.” She was recently in Orlando, FL working with WWE on footage for the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game.

Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks had fans talking yet again due to something that she did on social media.

On Thursday, she took to her official Twitter account to promote a tweet related to All Elite Wrestling. As seen in the screenshot, she re-tweeted a post from AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes, who promoted the latest episode of AEW’s “Road to Fyter Fest” YouTube series.

This series is done to promote the upcoming AEW Fyter Fest event. It should also be noted that Banks also liked a tweet from Cody about how fans can watch Fyter Fest in England.

The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion hasn’t worked a match or been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35. Her status has been up in the air after it was reported that she tried to quit during WrestleMania 35 weekend.

While she did meet with Vince McMahon in late May, she has yet to make a return. The latest update on Banks was the fact that the meeting could see her return this summer and that she recently filmed material for the WWE 2K20 video game.

AEW Fyter Fest is scheduled to take place on June 29, 2019, at Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida and will air live and free on Bleacher Report Live at 8pm ET. 

Sasha Banks is believed to be in Orlando today filming content for the latest installment of the WWE 2K franchise. According to a report from PW Insider, Banks is in Orlando and taking part in filming for the video game which is due to be released in the fall.

Banks’ 4-horsewomen of NXT stablemate Becky Lynch is rumored to be on the cover of the WWE 2K20. Lynch spoke with ComicBook.com about possibly being the face of this year’s game:

“It’s just a matter of being the top player, the biggest face of this company,” Lynch said. “To make your name in this business, that’s what I want. That’s what I’m shooting for, and the video game cover would be a nice little stepping stone.”

Sasha Banks continues to post cryptic messages to her social media alluding to her WWE future.

She recently tweeted a picture of her sitting alone in a ring. The turnbuckles happen to be sporting NXT branding.

The black and white image was accompanied by a caption, reading “”There was nowhere to go but everywhere…”

This isn’t the first mysterious and purposefully cryptic message that Sasha Banks has uploaded.

She has previously shared an image of herself with a caption claiming that she would finally be able to spread her wings and achieve her dreams, but only if she would be let out her cage. The lines are actually from the Kendrick Lamar song, Dumb It Down.

It’s been reported that “The Boss” has had a recent meeting with her boss, Vince McMahon. It is claimed by Dave Meltzer that after the meeting, “Things are said to be better and she could be back sometime this summer, but nothing is official.”

Sasha Banks has penned a cryptic tweet regarding her freedom following her reportedly meeting with Vince McMahon.

Banks has not been seen in the ring in almost 2 months and her last match was also a losing attempt to defend the tag titles with Bayley on April 7 at WrestleMania 35.

A recent report from the Wrestling Observer suggested that Banks met with Vince McMahon last week and she is expected to come back this summer.

Banks posted a photo of herself on Twitter with the following caption which talks about conquering dreams after attaining freedom from a supposed “cage”:

“I will conquer my biggest dreams. Once you open the cage, I bet that I’ll spread my wings”

The line, which comes from Kendrick Lamar’s Dumb it Down, clearly talks about getting freedom from restrictions and realizing what one can truly do without them.

Many on Twitter are speculating that the “cage” here is supposed to be WWE and Banks is looking to get out of it.

Only time will tell what the meaning behind the lines are. It of course doesn’t necessarily have to be about WWE. But if the Observer’s report is to be believed then Banks should be back in WWE, if not, then this is an early sign by Banks about her future outside of the company.

For what it’s worth, AEW executive Jim Ross responded to Sasha Banks’ post with the hashtag, #Money.

Sasha Banks has given a not-so-subtle seal of approval to Jon Moxley and his blockbuster appearance on Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho podcast earlier this week.

There were a lot of interesting comments that he made during this appearance, including why and when he decided to leave WWE and why he believes Vince McMahon has a “Million Dollar Man” complex.

In a show of solidarity after the interview dropped, Moxley’s wife, WWE broadcaster Renee Young, posted a photo of Instagram of them together. Several pro wrestling personalities gave supportive comments on the photo, including Brie Bella, Mickie James, Brandi Rhodes, Ryback and more.

Sasha Banks also chimed in, which you can see below. She wrote, “All good things come to those who stay true.” The former Raw Women’s Champion is on hiatus from WWE, reportedly due to her sharing the same frustrations that led to Moxley’s departure.

There have been rumors of Banks sitting out the rest of her WWE contract as talks between the two sides have been at a stalemate since she asked for her release in April. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion hasn’t worked a match or been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 35.

On Thursday afternoon, Sasha Banks posted another inspiration quote on Twitter. At what appears to be a crossroads in her career, Banks wrote, “I will conquer my biggest dreams. Once you open the cage, I bet that I’ll spread my wings”

The Money In The Bank PPV received mix reaction from fans with most of the PPV being praised by the WWE Universe with the exception of the finish of the show.

The segments which were highly praised included Bayley’s Money In The Bank Win and her successful cash in on Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

And it appears that Bayley’s former partner Sasha Banks liked this booking too and the former Women’s Champion reacted to it via the following tweet after the event:

For those who don’t know, Bayley won the Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match while Charlotte was able to defeat Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship during Money In The Bank.

However, Flair didn’t stop after winning the title and she along with Lacey Evans unleashed a post-match beat down on the Man after the bout.

This provoked Bayley to come out to help Lynch clear the ring and seizing the opportunity, she cashed in her Money In The Bank contract on Charlotte.

There has been no recent updates on Sasha Banks’ situation and currently, it’s hard to say when or if Banks will return to the WWE Programming in future.

There has been no real update on Sasha Banks’ status with WWE in recent times and the last we heard, WWE officials were planning to let her sit out her contract if the Boss decided not to return.

This has led to rumors that the former Women’s Champion might have made her mind about quitting the company, however, she is back online, denying such reports.

A fan recently sent out a tweet on Banks’ way saying that a lot of women have put her over and quitting because she doesn’t want to lose is extremely selfish.

For the surprise of the people, the former Champion actually replied to these claims by asking who said these things. When the fan implied that he has read it all on the internet, Sasha came back with a meme, mocking the reports:

Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since her loss at WrestleMania where she and Bayley dropped the Women’s Tag Titles to the IIconics.

Reports suggest that she was made aware of this title change very late and feeling blindsided by the decision, the former Women’s Champion tried to quit the company.

However, WWE decided to give her some time off to think things over. It’s not very likely that the company will grant her release request and in the worst case scenario, the officials will freeze her contract.

If Sasha Banks was upset about having to drop the tag team titles to the Iiconics at WrestleMania, neither Billie Kay or Peyton Royce noticed. The Iiconics recently took part in an interview with Express Sport and said neither Banks nor Bayley expressed any frustration with the booking of the match while they were around.

“Immediately after the match we were all in tears, all crying,” Royce said. “Just filled with emotion, we got pictures together which we then posted on our Instagram. I mean, I know there’s all these rumors going around and we didn’t see anything.”

“Everyone was super happy and excited for us,” she continued. “The rumor to us is we didn’t see anything that we’re hearing.”

Billie Kay also commented on rumours that Banks and Bayley had staged some type of protest regarding the match result.

“Yeah, we don’t really pay attention to rumors or social media and all that kind of stuff in that aspect,” Kay said. “We had a great experience with them and it holds a really special place in our hearts. You can find them [pictures], we’re all embracing each other.”

The Iiconics vs the Kabuki Warriors

The Iiconcis might have new challengers for those titles. This week on Smackdown, the newly named team of Asuka and Kairi Sane defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Royce and Kay were ringside on commentary for the match. The two teams have been wrestling each other on WWE live events lately as well.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Sasha Banks has been called out by a top star.

It’s been an interesting time for her over the last month. Banks hasn’t wrestled or even been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 when she and Bayley lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles. The reason for that is due to Banks reportedly wanted to leave the company over WrestleMania weekend.

Earlier this week, Pwinsider.com reported that there were rumblings in WWE that she might be returning from her hiatus. The belief about this situation is that she has been frustrated with her role in the company.

WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated where she spoke about a wide range of topics. During the interview, she had interesting comments for her good friend.

“Come fight me, Sasha. At one time, Sasha Banks was the top dog, she was ‘The Boss,’ but Sasha’s fallen from grace. It seems like she can’t hack it. Let’s prove something.”

Lynch would continue by bringing up having some great matches in NXT and it has been quite some time since they wrestled each other. She noted that she would love to do it again but this is a different time for her.

“This ain’t ‘The Lasskicker’ anymore, this is ‘The Man.’ I would love to go toe-to-toe, ‘The Man’ vs. ‘The Boss,’ to prove who is the top dog now.”

Sasha Banks remains in the United States as the Raw and SmackDown rosters are overseas for WWE’s latest European tour.

Over the next week, WWE’s main roster brands will hold shows in Ireland, Belgium, Finland, France, Sweden, England, Norway and Germany. Next week’s Raw and SmackDown will be taped from London.

As for Sasha Banks, the latest update on Sasha Banks comes courtesy of PWInsider. Earlier this week, there were rumblings in WWE that she might be returning from her hiatus. She was “listed internally” as one of the wrestlers who would be traveling with WWE.

Banks was also scheduled to film some promotional material for the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game, however there’s no word on whether or not she took part in that shoot.

The former Raw Women’s Champion has been off WWE television since WrestleMania last month. She nor WWE have made any public comments about her status since then. The belief is that she has been frustrated with her role in the company, including WWE breaking up her tag team with Bayley.

Sasha Banks would like to wrestle Tessa Blanchard. She expressed as much on Blanchard’s Instagram account recently. The former Knockouts Champion posted a photo of herself from the 2300 Arena and Sasha challenged her in the comments section.

Banks commented “Let’s Wrestle” underneath Tessa’s picture. Other wrestlers such as Madison Rayne, Aerial Monroe, Diamante, and multiple posts from MLW’s Salina De La Renta appear as well.

Some fans might take Banks’ comment on Blanchard’s photo as the former Women’s Champion taking note of who might be available for her to wrestle when she is contractually free from WWE. Banks has been keeping a low-profile as of late but her social media account provides some clues as to what she has been doing for the last month.

Tessa Blanchard – Impact Wrestling

Blanchard recently defeated Gail Kim at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV. The two embraced after the match leading some to speculate Tessa could be turning babyface in the near future.

Blanchard held the Knockouts title from August 12th, 2018 (TV Tapings- Toronto) to January 6th, 2019 (Homecoming). She defended the title successfully 7x during her reign.

While we’re still not sure about her future with WWE, former Women’s Champion Sasha Banks was recently spotted attending the Moontower Comedy Festival.

The event is a three days comedy festival being held in Austin, Texas, and Sasha and her former Tag Team partner Bayley are apparently friends with some of the comedians performing at the show.

One such comedian, Brad Williams posted the following photo from his Instagram account which features some other performers of the event and the two WWE Stars:

As we noted before, the situation between Banks and WWE is unchanged but it doesn’t appear that the company will be granting her release if she decides not to come back.

Word is that the Officials will let the former Women’s Champion sit out her contract in case she doesn’t want to return to WWE TV.

However, that could mean that her deal will never run out since the company can add time for the period she stays out of action.

No word yet on what Sasha is thinking about her future but if she wants to continue wrestling, the only choice for her appears to be returning to WWE and completing her contractual obligations.

So far both WWE and Banks have been pretty quiet about the situation and either of them providing an official update doesn’t seem to be very likely. We’ll keep you posted if the story develops any further.

If Sasha Banks does decide to return to WWE, Atlas believes WWE will “destroy” her career in response to what he calls her “failed power play.”

During an interview with Boston Wrestling MWF, Atlas said, “If she decides to come back, they’re going to destroy her. Her career is over. They’ll job her out.”

Amid reports that Sasha Banks ‘walked out’ due to frustrations over her booking, Atlas says Sasha Banks told WWE loud and clear that she cannot be trusted.

WWE has thriving women’s divisions on Raw and SmackDown. NXT and NXT UK are also stacked with female talent.

“You know how many women right now are kissing up to Triple H, kissing up to Stephanie and saying, ‘Who are you gonna put in that spot?'”

Atlas compared Sasha Banks’ situation to Chyna, who was ousted from the company when she started pushing for more money and outside entertainment industry projects.

“She left a spot. They’re glad she’s gone,” Atlas said of Sasha Banks.

Sasha Banks has not appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania when her and Bayley dropped the tag titles to the Iiconics. According to comments made recently on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is willing to let her sit out the remainder of her contract if that is what she wants to do.

“Sasha Banks’ situation is unchanged, they are right now at a stalemate,” Dave Meltzer said. “The word is that if she wants to sit out the rest of her contract, she can sit out the rest of her contract.”

Meltzer added, “If you know what that means, that means she’s going to be sitting out forever because they are going to add time for her not working.”

Sasha Banks’ WWE Status

Last week it was revealed that Banks and Bayley were not told they would be losing the tag titles until the day of.

“It should be noted that the decision to put the women’s tag titles on The Iiconics was not a last minute decision,” wrote Dave Meltzer. “Banks & Bayley weren’t told until the day of the show. They were also told at the time that the company was going to drop them as a tag team.”

Bayley has since been drafted to Smackdown and declared herself to be a single’s Superstar.

The Boss N Hug Connection has been broken up on WWE programming. According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plan had always been to take the titles off the team and split them up but neither Banks or Bayley were informed of this until the day of WrestleMania.

It is not known if they were told they would be placed on separate brands or not at the time.

It is believed that Banks and Bayley were told they would be given a chance to make the tag team titles matter by having a long run while defending the belts on RAW, Smackdown, and NXT.

The report would continue to say that Bayley was upset but did not quit and Banks was given a few weeks off after attempting to quit. Banks has not been booked for television but WWE is hopeful she will be back in time for the Money in the Bank PPV.
