What Serena has been doing since her WWE release. (0:42)

Will Serena keep her hair short going forward. (1:56)

Her reaction to being asked to shave her head by WWE. (3:13)

Her love of traveling and wanting to wrestle in Japan, as well as getting the famous “Ribera” jacket. (8:22)

Her new schedule and how its improved her family life. (13:28)

What is the best way to get a response from Serena on Twitter? (14:41)

When asked whether she had to maintain a straight edge lifestyle while on the road, and whether she was asked to, she replied with the following:

“They were big on that (living a straight edge lifestyle outside the ring) and understandably so. It was a really hot angle and an important stable in the company so they definitely wanted that image to be maintained outside of the ring as well. It was more or less implied, never really said. It was just one of those implications.”

“WWE as a company is such a global phenomenon and there is so much media attention surrounding the company. We all know the media is always looking for ways to bash pro wrestling. I think it’s one of those things that they want the employees to maintain a professional image in the public because it’s such a huge company, it’s the messiah of pro wrestling.”

  • Serena Comments On Her WWE Run & Shaving Her Head

Former WWE Diva Serena was recently interviewed by Serena-Deeb.com and spoke about her short-but-memorable run in WWE.

Here are some highlight of what Serena said about:

    Her Future in Pro Wrestling:

“I still have many goals in wrestling that I haven’t fulfilled yet. Wrestling in Japan would be the biggest of those. The respect for wrestling over there is a precious thing and I would be honored to wrestle in front of those crowds. I also think it’s something that I want to prove to myself because not everyone can wrestle that style. The best times in my career so far were my times spent overseas, so I also would love to do more tours abroad. Mexico would be great because I am fluent in Spanish so I would be able to use that skill as well. I want to continue to focus on professional growth, as well as personal. I am still very young with a lot I haven’t seen in the world. We owe it to ourselves to become a better person with each day. The world hasn’t even seen how talented I am yet, but I promise that it will.”

Shaving Her Head As Part Of The Straight Edge Society:

“I was approached with the idea of shaving my head and although it took some thinking (being a woman with long hair my whole life), when you are given an opportunity to live your lifelong dream, you will do almost anything. I have no idea if others were asked to do it or not.”

The entire interview can be read here.

  • Aloisia Reportedly Tied To Escort Service, Serena Resurfaces

    — Former WWE Diva Serena made a surprise return to the ring at Saturday’s SHIMMER DVD taping in Berwyn, Illinois. The former Straight Edge Society member defeated Kelly Skater in what was described as a “great match.”

  • SmackDown Star Out For Several Months – Contains Spoiler

Joey Mercury will be out of action for several months after undergoing surgery over the weekend to repair a torn pectoral muscle. It’s considered a six month recovery process.

Despite the injury, Mercury is expected to remain on television since he had his arm on Monday’s Raw just days after surgery. Many feel that with Serena’s recent release, it wasn’t a good time to remove Mercury from television since the Straight Edge Society wouldn’t be much of a group with two people. However, Punk and Gallows broke up at the following night’s SmackDown television taping, so the injury may have been the catalyst to disband the group.

Following initial reports on Monday evening, we can confirm that SmackDown diva Serena has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment. She had made her WWE in-ring debut during last week’s SmackDown, defeating Kelly Kelly in a mixed tag match.

The decision to cut the Straight Edge Society member was made shortly after last week’s SmackDown tapings. An official announcement has not yet been made by WWE and likely will not be made until the weekend. She appeared at last Wednesday’s SmackDown tapings (set to air this Friday night) and accompanied Luke Gallows to the ring for his match with the Big Show.

While we are awaiting confirmation as to the “final straw” that led to Serena’s release, two WWE sources have informed SEScoops.com that her recent conduct on the road was major factor. Unlike Straight Edge Society leader CM Punk, who lives his substance-free gimmick in real life, Serena liked to be party and it got the attention of WWE management. After being warned several times, there was a recent incident (which we’re still getting that details on) that led to her being released.

WWE had reportedly been planning a romantic angle between Serena and CM Punk int he coming weeks.

    — World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Joe Anoa’i to a developmental contract, reports the Wrestling Observer. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika, the younger brother of former WWE star Rosey and the cousin of Rikishi and the late Umaga. He’s listed at 6 foot 3, 280 pounds. It was largely expected Anoa’i would enter the world of professional wrestling in case he didn’t make it in the NFL. He was a first-team All-ACC defensive tackle at Georgia Tech in 2006, his senior year. After going undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft, he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings. Upon being released by the Vikings, he was signed by the Eskimos, and accepted a spot on the team’s practice roster.

The wrestler known as Paige Webb is none other than WWE Diva and Straight Edge Society member Serena. Her character’s background in Wrestlicious is that she runs a website.

The wrestler known as Amber Lively is actually TNA Knockout Madison Rayne performing a cheerleader gimmick. In a coincidence, she was paired with fellow “Beautiful People” member Lacey Von Erich long before the two joined forces in TNA as these initial episodes of Wrestlicious: Takedown were originally taped in August of 2008.

  • Punk Shaves Diva’s Head At SmackDown Taping (PICTURE)

    WWE Diva Serena Deeb
    WWE Diva Mia Mancini

On this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, CM Punk converts a member of the WWE Universe to the Straightedge Society for the third week in a row, shaving his new recruit’s head as a symbol of his transformation from his “past transgressions” into a new way of life. In this case, the latest member of his society happens to be female and under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment.

WWE developmental wrestler Mia Mancini (a/k/a Serena Deeb) portrays a fan trying desperately to reach Punk, going as far to make it up the ramp before a security guard stops her. However, Punk tells the guard to let her go and allows her to enter the ring. Following his trademark long-winded speech, Punk proceeds to shave her head bald.

Given that she’s under contract to WWE, it would appear that this was Deeb’s official debut on the main roster, but that has not yet been confirmed. Although, Mickie James posted a note on Twitter this morning regarding her, writing: “Welcome 2 the dance!”

Here’s a picture of the lovely Mia Mancini after getting her head shaved by CM Punk:
