Seth Rollins Calls Weekly Three-Hour RAWs ‘Obnoxiously Long’

Although Seth Rollins thinks WWE is the world’s premier wrestling organization, he’s not a fan of the three-hour weekly episodes of Monday Night RAW. Rollins was speaking on the SI Podcast recently and was asked about RAW being three hours every week. Rollins called three hours “obnoxiously long” for a weekly wrestling program.

“I think a three hour show is just obnoxiously long every week. Everything gets stretched out, you know, and you’ve got to cram — you got to fill three hours of television, there’s just nothing to be done,” Rollins said (via WrestlingNews.co). “You know, that’s just how it is. So I think two hours is a beautiful kind of number for a pro wrestling show. And I think it’s easier to make everything mean a little bit more.

“You know, on SmackDown when I was there last year, I hardly ever wrestle on television and so it was kind of a big deal. You look at Roman [Reigns], he hardly ever wrestles on television, I think maybe a handful of times in the last year. So when he has matches at these pay-per-views, they feel like big deals and on Raw I’ve wrestled in like 26 five-star matches in the last two months.

“It’s just been wild the amount of actual wrestling that I have to do and I’d love to avoid that but it is what it is. I like the fact that I get a lot more screen time on Mondays because you have the extra hour but yeah it’s a apples to oranges type thing. I do think three hours is just a lot to ask every week of a viewer.”

Rollins seems to be in agreement with a large portion of the professional wrestling community. One of the biggest critiques fans have had for WWE is the three-hour-long runtimes for Monday Night RAW. As Rollins mentioned, three hours is certainly a lot to ask of a viewer. However, it doesn’t seem like that formula will be changing for WWE anytime soon.

As for “The Architect,” he comes off of a great matchup against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 38 this past weekend in Dallas. Although Rhodes was the one to emerge victorious from the matchup, both men put on what was one of the best matches of the action-packed weekend.

There doesn’t seem to be any lingering issues between the pair, however, as Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes shook hands on Monday Night RAW earlier this week.

Seth Rollins Proclaims WWE As “Premier Professional Wrestling Company” In The World

If you’re in the professional wrestling business, WWE is where the big boys come to play, according to Seth Rollins. Rollins recently did an interview with the Gorilla Position podcast prior to Monday Night RAW last night, touching on a number of topics. During the interview, Rollins was asked about Cody Rhodes leaving All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and returning to WWE.

When asked who else Rollins would like to see make the jump to WWE, “The Architect” noted that anybody who wants to work in the “big leagues” and establish themselves as the best in the world needs to be under the WWE’ banner.

“Oh man, anybody who wants to come work in the big leagues,” Rollins said (via WrestlingNews.co). I said it to him, I’ve said it before, this is the premier professional wrestling company on the planet. I know, ‘Oh don’t say professional wrestling,’ doesn’t matter. We have the best in the world and now we have Cody Rhodes on top of that and he is joining that club. So if you want to be the best, don’t go play rinky-dink, come here, do your thing here.

“We are the best, top-notch, across the board. I’m not taking anything away from anybody else who is anywhere else, I love it, do what you do, you guys are tremendous and there are great talents out there, but this is where you are the best. This is where you find out if you can hack it on the top top top level.”

Rollins was one-half of one of the best matches of WrestleMania 38 weekend. Cody Rhodes was revealed as Rollins’ mystery opponent for the Dallas event, and the pair put on a tremendous matchup. Rhodes left WWE back in 2016 before helping establish AEW to where it is today. After becoming a free agent earlier this year, however, “The American Nightmare” decided to return to WWE, where he has his sights set on becoming World Champion.

As for Seth Rollins, despite taking the loss to Rhodes at “The Show Of Shows,” the pair shook hands following Rhodes’ promo on Monday Night RAW last night, seemingly putting an end to their short-lived encounter.

Seth Rollins: “I Am The New Mr. WrestleMania”

The storyline of Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent has been one of the most hyped stories of WrestleMania this year. Though some recent reports of an old WWE name coming back have thrown a curveball in people’s way. It has made many wonder if Seth’s opponent will not be who people think it is. Rollins himself is promising that people won’t be disappointed, because he is capable of delivering on the promise himself.

The Architect recently appeared on the Sports Illustrated Media podcast. During the interview, he was asked if he believes his mystery opponent will live up to the hype. Replying to it, Rollins promises that it’s definitely going to be a big moment. Reminding people of his WrestleMania history, Seth said he is a moment in himself. He claimed that after Shawn Michaels he is the new Mr WrestleMania:

“I think, yeah, Saturday, Sunday, either way, I think it’s going to be a moment. One thing that I’ve learned on this journey of trying to find my way to WrestleMania is that I am Seth freaking Rollins. I am the moment. You look at WrestleMania over the last nine years, eight years, ten years, that I’ve been a part of it.” said Seth Rollins, “And all I do is make moments. It doesn’t matter who I’m in the ring with or what we’ve got going on. I find a way to make moments and so I am the moment. I am my own Main Event at WrestleMania.

Anybody who’s lucky enough to share the ring with me has a good chance to steal the show. You can run down a laundry list of my past WrestleMania accomplishments; we can do that all day but it’s right there in front of you. Took me a little while to see that but I am WrestleMania. I am the new Mr. WrestleMania. Shawn, he had his time. He’ll always be the original Mr. WrestleMania, but [if] you look at the track record in the last decade. They don’t get no better than me, baby!”

Seth Rollins Believes AEW’s WWE Mentions ‘Reek Of Desperation’

AEW is known to not pull any punches when it comes to referencing WWE. Many AEW stars regularly take shots at the rival promotion and people like CM Punk are known to try and put the company down whenever they get the chance. However, Seth Rollins finds the constant references very tacky and low-brow.

The Monday Night Messiah discussed the difference between WWE’s and AEW’s approach of acknowledging the competition during his appearance on Sports Illustrated Media Podcast. He discussed his own mention of Jon Moxley during his recent feud with Roman Reigns.

Seth Rollins claimed that nobody said anything about it to him backstage. Everybody knows that Mox is a part of WWE’s history and the story of both Seth and Roman. The Architect then compared the moment to CM Punk’s mentions of WWE. He explained that references are fine when they are useful in a story. He went on to describe how AEW’s approach is very different:

“The other side of that coin is the way that it can be used by those guys. They can do whatever they want. I find it very tacky and low-brow, personally. I think it looks and reeks of desperation. I don’t think it’s anything on our television show that we need to go there and talk down about those guys.”

The former world champion later acknowledged that AEW is successfully doing their thing and said that he is very happy for them. Though he noted how Tony Khan’s promotion has a long way to go before they catch up with them. From Rollins’ perspective, it’s a step down for them to use this fact as an insult.

We Won’t Know Seth Rollins’ Opponent Until He’s in the Ring at WrestleMania

Seth Rollins is going to WWE WrestleMania 38 and as expected, his opponent won’t be confirmed until he’s in the ring at the show.

WWE previously announced over the weekend that Rollins would be meeting with Vince McMahon this morning. WWE released a video of the meeting on social media where McMahon informed Rollins that he’ll have a match on the WrestleMania card.

Rollins wanted to know who it would be, but McMahon didn’t name the person. He did say it would be someone of McMahon’s choosing and Rollins will learn his opponent when his opponent is introduced the night of the show.

It’s expected that Cody Rhodes will be facing Rollins at WrestleMania as Rhodes has signed with the company. It had been reported that WWE holding off on Rhodes’ return until WrestleMania was the plan.

Rollins has been involved in a storyline over the last few weeks where he’s failed to find a path to WrestleMania. He lost matches against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles in attempts to get on the WrestleMania card.

Following a loss to Styles, Rollins threatened that tonight’s Raw wouldn’t get started unless he gets his WrestleMania moment.

Seth Rollins Reveals His Mt Rushmore Of Money-Drawing Wrestlers

People usually pick names for Mt Rushmore based on their wrestling abilities, but Seth Rollins has a different approach to selecting his picks.

The Visionary recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show. During the talk, he was asked which names he would put in his Mt Rushmore of wrestling.

Answering the question, Rollins put his picks in two categories. He first revealed his choices based on their ability to draw:

“Are we talking wrestling or are we talking drawing money because those are different things. Well, in our business, which is the entertainment business, money-drawing is the biggest thing.

So, if we’re talking there, you got to start with [Hulk] Hogan, [John] you got to put Cena in there, Rock, and [Stone Cold Steve] Austin. Top four.”

Though later he also revealed his picks based on the in-ring wrestling abilities and he named people such as Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart:

“In-ring, all time? Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, Bret The Hitman Hart. Number four, controversial pick because he’s still active, Bryan Danielson,

I actually think, in-ring, is one of the greatest of all time. And I think when all’s said and done, he’ll be up there with the guys.”

Seth Rollins is currently scheduled to compete in the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match at the namesake PPV on Saturday, February 19.

Seth Rollins On Mentioning Jon Moxley In Recent Promo: ‘I Couldn’t Ignore The History’

The war of words between WWE and AEW has heated up in recent times. Both the companies have acknowledged each other on air multiple times. The most recent example of it was when Seth Rollins remembered the third member of the Shield in Jon Moxley during one of his recent promo battles with Roman Reigns.

The Architect opened up about his promo during his most recent interview with TalkSport. He claimed that it was an easter egg for the fans:

“It’s an just an easter egg, I think, for some of the fans that have enjoyed [The Shield] and stuck around, followed us for years and stuff like that.”

Seth Rollins then explained that it would be very easy to tell the story of The Tribal Chief versus The Visionary for those who watch their programming on a weekly basis. However, he couldn’t ignore the history they have with the third member of the Shield:

“If you follow the industry and you pay attention and you know where we came from, you know there was a third guy in the mix. I’m not going to sit here and ignore that history, I’m going to bring that up because I think that’s important. And I think people who care about that appreciate it.”

Seth Rollins is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal championship at The Royal Rumble PPV on January 29. You can check out the betting odds for the PPV here.

Seth Rollins Wants To See A Surprise Winner For Men’s Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble this year is one of the most wide-open rumbles in the history of the event and Seth Rollins wants an underrated star to win the battle royal this year. The former Universal champion recently had an interview with Alex McCarthy of TalkSport. Among other things, he discussed the upcoming PPV event.

Rollins first mentioned how winning the women’s Royal Rumble last year catapulted Bianca Belair into superstardom. He said that he would love to see that on the men’s side this time around:

“You look at Bianca Belair on the female side, winning the Rumble catapulted her into superstardom. I’d love to see that on the men’s side. I think there’s a lot of guys bubbling and we always need new top faces. I’d love to see someone come out of nowhere and win.”

Seth Rollins then explained that he would love to see a surprise winner at the men’s Royal Rumble this year, someone who the fans can get behind:

“I’d love a real surprise Rumble winner for people to get behind. Tons of guys on the RAW roster could; Finn Balor is someone who is right there. Chad Gable. Matt Riddle. Montez Ford.”

The 35th annual Royal Rumble will take place at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri on January 29, 2022.

Top WWE Stars Pulled From MSG Event Amid Covid-19 Outbreak

WWE is making some major changes to tonight’s live events in New York City and Tampa, all while the company continues to deal with a Covid-19 outbreak with their performers and staff. While we can’t say for certain that the changes are due to the outbreak, four big names are not present tonight at Madison Square Garden who were advertised previously, and further changes are also being made to the main event tonight in Tampa.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins vs. Big E in a triple threat steel cage match and Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch in a steel cage match were advertised for the MSG show tonight. According to PWInsider, Rollins, Lynch, Big E, and Belair are not at the show. The report notes that Edge is now being brought in for the show as a replacement, and he is now scheduled to work a match on the show. Natalya will also now be appearing.

Madison Square Garden did announce this afternoon that an NXT title match between Tommaso Ciampa and Pete Dunne has been added to the show. However, it should be noted that that match has previously been planned for the Raw tour this week.

The PWInsider report also notes that changes are in store for the WWE live event in Tampa tonight as well. The advertised main event there has been Roman Reigns and The Usos vs. Drew McIntyre and The New Day. Plus, a women’s match featuring Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks in a Street Fight. We’re not aware of what changes are set to be made as of right now.

WWE’s ticket sales for the MSG show tonight in particular have been disappointing, with the live attendance looking to be WWE’s lowest at the venue since 2004. As of this afternoon, only about 51% of the tickets had been distributed based on the setup for the show. Post-Christmas shows at the Garden have typically been hot tickets in years past.

Seth Rollins on His Current Character: “If The Joker Were A Narcissist Going Through A Midlife Crisis”

Seth Rollins believes his current character is similar to if the Joker going through a midlife crisis. This is according to comments he made to Z100’s Josh Martinez recently.

When asked to describe his current character, Rollins had the following to say:

“God, it’s as if — it’s as if this crazy — if The Joker were a narcissist going through a midlife crisis. I guess that’s the best way to really put it,” Rollins said. “I don’t really know any other way to do it. But yeah, it’s a lot. It’s a lot happening but the cool thing about the character is it can kind of go any which way. There’s a lot of unpredictability with it and I think that’s fun, you know?”

“You can have matches like a Hell In A Cell match with Edge, but you can also have television segments where I just laugh with my best friend Bayley for five minutes. So, you know, I just think that there’s not a lot of characters on our television program that can do all these different things and so, that’s kind of just my approach to where I’m at right now.”

WWE recently celebrated Rollins “Year of the Drip” with the following video posted to social media:

Rollins will be part of the fatal 4-way match for the WWE Championship on the Day 1 PPV. Big E will also defend the title against Bobby Lashley and Kevin Owens in that match. Last night on RAW, Owens and Rollins continued to be loosely aligned as they orchestrated a post-match attack on Bobby Lashley.

Should Rollins win the title on January 1st, it would be his 3rd time holding the WWE Championship. Rollins is also a 2x Universal Champion and the inaugural NXT Champion. He’s also a 6x tag team champion, 2x Intercontinental champion, and 1x United States champion.

Rollins comments can be heard in the player below.

Ric Flair: Crazed Fan Clearly Got The Better Of Seth Rollins

Ric Flair doesn’t believe Seth Rollins held his own in the midst of a fan attack.

On the Nov. 22 episode of Monday Night Raw, Seth was in for an unpleasant surprise. A fan, who has been identified as 24-year-old Elisah Spencer, hopped the barricade and tackled Seth on the ramp.

Seth had a guillotine choke position but he lost it before security grabbed a hold of Spencer. The fan was escorted out of the Barclays Center and arrested by the NYPD for attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs.

Ric Flair Talks Seth Rollins-Fan Incident

During an episode of the Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Ric Flair said he’s seen a lot of fan incidents with wrestlers but he’s never seen the fan get a clear upper hand the way he feels Spencer did on Seth Rollins.

“In all fairness, I could say a lot of cute things, but I’m not going to. Every time I say something, I have to involve other people and they have to endure the consequences, so I’m just going to say this. I’ve seen that happen, but I’ve never seen it where I recall the mark, the fan, clearly was getting the better of the individual.”

Flair went on to say that he feels Seth didn’t exactly make himself look good by telling TMZ that he was “terrified” of the situation.

“My problem with Seth is if you’re a top guy in this business, and you know anything about the psychology of what the fans think and feel, which they really do, you never, ever, ever, get off an airplane in L.A.and say, ‘I was terrified.’ Terrified of what? Terrifying is being in an airplane crash. You were terrified or horrified by a wrestling fan? Come on man.”

Flair went on to say that Rollins essentially admitted to getting his “ass kicked.” He was also dismissive of the notion that Seth wanted to avoid legal troubles, which was suggested by WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray.

It’s been said that the crazed fan had been catfished by a Seth Rollins impersonator. The impersonator allegedly scammed Spencer into buying Amazon gift cards.

Title Match Announced For WWE Day 1

Big E, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins are set to face off on New Year’s Day for the WWE Championship.

On Monday’s episode of Raw, Seth Rollins confirmed in a promo that he will challenge Big E for the WWE Title at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. This marks the first match to be confirmed for the PPV event.

Rollins then beat Finn Balor in a singles match on the show. Rollins earned this title match by becoming the number one contender when he won a fatal four-way ladder match on Raw five weeks ago as he beat Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and Rey Mysterio.

However, Big E went one-on-one with Owens in a non-title match with the stipulation was that if Owens won, he would be added to the WWE Title. That happened so now it will be a triple threat match.

Big E has held the WWE Championship since cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Bobby Lashley this September.  Since that time, he had successful title defenses against Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Austin Theory.

WWE presents the Day 1 pay-per-view event on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia at the State Farm Arena that will air on Peacock. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks.

Dominik Mysterio Was Shocked WWE Booked Him To Face Seth Rollins

Dominik Mysterio couldn’t believe WWE booked him in a match with Seth Rollins at a major event so soon.

Rollins had a lengthy feud with Rey and Dominik Mysterio in 2020. At the Summerslam PPV that year, Dominik went one-on-one with Seth in a street fight.

Dominik Mysterio Gets An Unexpected Booking

On an episode of The Kurt Angle Show, Dominik Mysterio. recalled his father Rey telling him that he’d be facing Seth Rollins.

“Oh, most definitely. I was excited, I thought it was a joke at first. When he told me I thought my dad was kidding but they were serious and it ended up becoming one of my favorite matches, and I’ve only had a year [laughs].”

Dominik went on to say that despite his father expressing worry over the timing, he felt ready for the moment.

“When he asked me he’s like, ‘No, it’s serious.’ I told him, ‘Alright, let’s do it.’ I thought I was ready.

“I had been training already for a little over two years. So, if there was gonna be a time, now is the time. I wasn’t gonna skip on this opportunity.”

Dominik was praised by many for coming through in a big spot despite not having much time in the ring. Of course, Rollins also received credit for being the seasoned veteran and future Hall of Famer that he is.

Seth Rollins’ Attacker Explains Why He Tackled Him On RAW

Elisah Spencer jumped the guardrail and tackled an unsuspecting Seth Rollins this Monday night on RAW. The 24-year-old recently spoke to the New York Daily News about why he did what he did. He is now facing criminal charges for his actions.

“I apologized to the WWE for my actions,” Spencer said. “I had a legitimate beef but as a grown man I could have settled it a different way … If I saw him today I wouldn’t attack him. I’ve moved on.”

He would continue to explain that he ended up being “catfished” online by a fake Seth Rollins account. The fake Seth Rollins asked him to send money and Spencer felt that he could work his way up in the business as a wrestling blogger in exchange.

“He was asking me to send him gift cards in exchange for money, mostly $500 or more to see if I was loyal,” Spencer said. “He asked me to be a wrestling blogger for him. I wanted to work my way up.”

According to comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio, Spencer asked his girlfriend to write the checks since he didn’t have the funds. His girlfriend’s checks then bounced and she was arrested.

Spencer also continued to say that not only was he seeking revenge on Rollins for the money that was sent, he also wanted to help Finn Balor. On RAW, Rollins had just attacked Balor in a segment.

“My plan was to help Finn Balor. I’m a fan,” Spencer continued. “I like his aura, his attitude, I like everything about his charisma, I like everything about him.”

https://twitter.com/Machobeard4life/status/1463251158861066249

The attack occurred in the Barclay’s Arena, the same venue where Bret Hart was tackled during the Hall of Fame ceremony in 2019.

More on Seth Rollins being tackled by a fan on RAW:

Seth Rollins Comments On Fan Attack During WWE Raw

Seth Rollins has given his first public comments regarding the attack he dealt with on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw by 24-year-old Elisah Spencer.

It happened just after Rollins had beaten down Finn Balor. As Rollins was walking up the ramp, the man jumped the barricade and tackled Rollins, who proceeded to put him in a guillotine choke. Rollins let go of the fan as a referee and later security took the man away. Rollins never hit the fan.

TMZ caught up with Rollins at the airport and asked him about the situation.

“It’s terrifying, brother,” Rollins said, providing a play-by-play of the incident. It happened very quickly. I was mostly just reacting and hoping that our security would come and do their job. Which they did very quickly. And then was just trying to detach and move on. Hope that everybody is okay.”

Aside from a bloody lip, Rollins said he didn’t suffer any major injuries.

“No, no serious injuries. Nothing like that. I was safe, we were safe. Everything was okay.”

As a result of his actions, the man faces charges of attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting live sporting event),

Bully Ray Defends Seth Rollins For Not Striking Fan During Attack

Bully Ray has come to the defense of Seth Rollins from some online detractors following a fan attack.

On the Nov. 22 episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE ran an angle where Seth left Finn Balor laying in the middle of the ring. As Rollins walked up the ramp, a fan tackled him to the floor.

During the attack, Rollins slapped on a guillotine choke but didn’t tighten it up and the fan ended up pulling on his hair as seen in several fan-recorded videos.

Seth kicked the man, who has been identified as 24-year-old Elisah Spencer, to break free. Afterward, Rollins had some strong words for the fan as he was escorted out of the arena.

Bully Ray Responds To Seth Rollins Critics

Some fans have taken to Twitter to sound off on Seth Rollins for not giving the fan a beatdown. Even Chavo Guerrero insinuated that Seth looked weak.

On an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray expressed his belief that Rollins did exactly what he was supposed to do in that situation.

“People chiming in on social media, ‘Oh Rollins is a punk for not beating the sh*t out of him.’ No, he’s not, he’s a pro. You can’t fire back because then they sue you, then they sue the company, then they sue the arena, then they just get sue happy.

“And then the jury looks at you like, ‘Well Seth, you did get away from the guy. Did you really have to go back and punt him in the face?’

“‘Yeah, but the guy jumped me.’ ‘Yes, we understand. The guy jumped you and that’s what arena security is there for and that’s what WWE security is there for. It’s their job to control the guy and get him out of there, not your job to kick him in the face after you got away.’

“That’s why you don’t do that. Seth saved the company a lot of headaches last night. Most guys wouldn’t have that kind of self-control. I’ve seen it a hundred times. The boys just salivating to get that one shot in.”

The fan was arrested by the NYPD for attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs. It was discovered on social media that Spencer had been scammed by a Seth Rollins impersonator online.

Fan Who Attacked Seth Rollins On WWE Raw Was Catfished

The fan who tackled Seth Rollins on WWE Monday Night Raw got duped.

After Rollins laid out Finn Balor in the middle of the ring on the Nov. 22 episode of Raw, he made his way up the ramp.

Before he could get backstage, a fan charged at Seth and tackled him to the ground before being pulled off and escorted out of the Barclays Center.

Crazed Fan Scammed By Seth Rollins Impersonator

The fan in question is 24-year-old Elisah Spencer. He was arrested by the NYPD for attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (h/t Marc Raimondi of ESPN).

Many people on social media have figured out the cause of Spencer’s attack on Seth Rollins. As it turns out, he was scammed by someone pretending to be Seth online.

https://twitter.com/mntgmrybrwn/status/1463252244397240322

WWE issued the following statement to several media outlets.

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

There was another incident during a dark match following the TV taping that led to one fan reportedly being escorted out of the building as well. That situation was far tamer, however, and didn’t get physical.

WWE Releases Statement On Seth Rollins’ Attacker

WWE has released an official statement on the fan who jumped Seth Rollins during this Monday’s episode of Raw from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The company released the statement to media outlets when reached out about the incident. They revealed that the attacker has been turned over to NYPD:

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

The Architect was supposed to have a match with Finn Balor on tonight’s episode of the show. Though he attacked Balor before the bout could begin.

As Rollins was heading to the ramp after the segment, a fan jumped the barricades and attacked the former Universal champion before the security took him down.

The former Shield member seemed to be fine when he reappeared on the show during the main event WWE championship match between Big E and Austin Theory.

Rollins, who is expected to challenge for the WWE title next, interfered in the bout. Though he wasn’t successful in his attempt to cost Big E the title. Seth Rollins ended up taking a big ending from E after the match was over.

Watch: Seth Rollins Attacked By Fan On WWE Raw

A crazed fan jump the barricade and attacked Seth Rollins at Monday’s episode of WWE Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

At the top of the second hour, Rollins was cutting a promo in the ring about being the sole survivor for Team Raw in the men’s elimination tag team match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.

Finn Balor came out to interrupt Rollins, who proceeded to beat him down. When Rollins was making his way up the entranceway, a fan attacked him and the camera quickly cut away.

Fans in attendance noted on social media that security quickly jumped into action and Michael Hayes was seen on the stage. The announcers avoided talking about the fan.

Eventually, Rollins got up and was rightfully talking some trash to the fan, who was taken away right before the camera was back on Rollins, who had a bloody mouth as a result of the attack.

The fan will likely be banned from attending future WWE events because of his actions. Fans should never jump the rail and try to attack a wrestler who in the case of Rollins, was simply doing his job by being a heel on television.

Seth Rollins praised for being easy to work with behind the scenes

Seth Rollins often plays a smarmy, grating heel on television, but former WWE producer Lance Storm says that image couldn’t be farther from the man he knows.

Storm recently took part in a Q&A session for Figure 4 Daily and said Rollins is a total professional who is a pleasure to work with behind the scenes.

“I can’t say enough good things about Seth Rollins.”

“I produced a lot of segments with Seth,” said Storm. “A lot of times with Seth, it was me and Michael Hayes. It was at the time where Seth was a big frickin’ part of the show.”

“You get the Seth Rollins segment, and it’s like, ok, he has two backstage segments, he has an in-ring promo, then he has a promo before his match. The dude has like eight segments. He’s running full tilt all day and very easy to work with.”

Multitasking with a great attitude

Seth Rollins

Things can get chaotic on days when WWE is taping television. Scripts are rewritten and talent is getting pulled in 10 different directions. Everyone is multitasking and Lance Storm says virtually nobody could handle the pressure like Rollins.

“There’s times where he’s doing so much that he’s going out there and still doesn’t know a lot of key elements, and it’s like, ‘I’ll talk to you on the headset, go out there’, and he gets the job done. He was incredibly great to work with.”

In addition to his ability to multitask, Storm also praised Rollins for being agreeable when other wrestlers might not be.

“No matter how much crap you threw at that dude, he could catch it with one hand and keep it juggling while he was doing everything else. Being able to do that, and then also having that vision that if we disagree, it’s not me vs him. We’re both trying to get the product out there on time and good. He was incredibly great and easy to deal with.”

Storm went on and on about Rollins’ ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a great attitude.

“So, a guy like that, that can both multitask, be humble enough to take advice when it’s given, and smart enough to also do so much and do it so well, he was again, of all the guys I had to produce there, I can’t say enough good things about Seth Rollins.”

Hell In A Cell Match Announced For Crown Jewel, Updated Card

WWE has announced that Seth Rollins will be facing Edge in a Hell In A Cell match at the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV from Saudi Arabia.

These two have been feuding since the Money In The Bank PPV. The Rated R Superstar challenged the Universal champion Roman Reigns for his title at the show.

However, Edge couldn’t win the title due to interference from Rollins. This led to a few weeks of confrontations between the two before WWE announced that they will be meeting in a match at SummerSlam.

The Attitude Era star managed to win this match against the Architect via submission. Though their rivalry continued and last week’s episode of SmackDown saw Rollins invading the home of Edge.

Edge then proposed a Hell In A Cell stipulation for their rematch during the final segment of this week’s episode of the blue brand. The match was made official after Seth accepted the challenge.

Seth Rollins Reflects On Creative Differences With WWE

Seth Rollins has looked back on the one time he strongly disagreed with the direction of his character.

Many have viewed Rollins as a team player. He often defends WWE publicly and has called the promotion the best wrestling company in the world. You never really hear about Rollins causing a fuss internally with WWE management.

With that said, disagreements are bound to happen. Back in 2016, Rollins returned from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered in late 2015. Fans were excited to see Rollins return at the conclusion of the Extreme Rules PPV, nailing Roman Reigns with a Pedigree.

At the time, Reigns was the top babyface while Rollins was the heel. Despite knowing that he’d get big reactions upon his return, Seth Rollins remained a heel.

Appearing on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, Rollins admitted he felt WWE missed the boat on turning him face at that time.

“They [WWE Universe] had not fully accepted Roman as the top babyface champion yet. They still weren’t ready for it. I come back for the title I never lost, and so it made perfect sense. I thought for sure I’d be coming back as a babyface but the company had other plans, and that didn’t jibe with where I was mentally. I had envisioned myself as a babyface coming back. I had started to see momentum kind of pick up as I was coming back. I was like, ‘Okay, they’re gonna cheer me.’”

Rollins eventually did turn face, feuding with Triple H. “The Game” had turned his back on Rollins, hitting him with a Pedigree during a WWE Universal Championship match. This allowed Kevin Owens to pin Rollins and lay claim to the gold. Rollins got his revenge on Triple H, pinning him at WrestleMania 33.

Do you agree with Seth Rollins on how WWE should’ve handled his 2016 comeback from injury?

Triple H Didn’t See Anything Special In Seth Rollins At First

Triple H wasn’t initially impressed by Seth Rollins.

Rollins is one of the biggest stars in WWE today. He is a multiple-time world champion under the WWE banner. Things weren’t all rosy for Rollins in the early going, however.

Speaking to WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin on Broken Skull Sessions, Rollins detailed the time Triple H scolded him for not following the WWE ideology.

“Hunter took me aside and was like, ‘Look, I don’t see anything special in you. If you don’t want to play ball and don’t want to work with us, you can go back to Ring of Honor and do things your way, but you need to start doing things our way.'”

Seth Rollins went on to say that he later told Triple H that he wanted to become the first-ever NXT Champion. Rollins got his wish but it may have been his final chance to prove himself.

“Three months later, I’m sitting in a room with Hunter and I’m saying, ‘I want that NXT Championship. I want to be the first one to hold that title. Put it on me and this brand is off and running. If you go in another direction with it, I don’t know where you’re going to be in a couple of years.’ I told him that, ‘I’m the right guy for this. You know that, I know that, let’s bury this hatchet and make this work.’ It was close, it was a lesson I had to learn the hard way. It was one more slip up from, ‘that’s it for you.'”

Today, Rollins views Triple H as a mentor. At one point, Rollins even used the Pedigree as his finisher. He credits “The Game” with his ability to grow and do things by the book. Along the way, Rollins has also been able to mix in his own style and hasn’t had trouble switching up his character over the years. It’s why he has remained a top star for so long.

Prior to entering the WWE Universe, Rollins competed as Tyler Black in ROH. He even captured the ROH World Title. Rollins appeared to be on his way to TNA Wrestling, but he decided to sign with WWE instead. The rest is history.

Seth Rollins Didn’t Earn Brock Lesnar’s Respect Right Away

Seth Rollins learned that earning the respect of Brock Lesnar wasn’t easy.

Rollins and Lesnar have had their share of matches in WWE. It was Rollins who stole the WWE Championship from Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 back in 2015 with his Money In The Bank cash-in. Just two months prior, the two were involved in a highly-praised triple threat match that also included John Cena at the Royal Rumble.

The two ended up meeting again at WrestleMania 35 back in 2019. This time, Rollins was the face challenging heel Lesnar for the WWE Championship. Rollins ended up winning the match.

During an appearance on Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, Rollins admitted that Lesnar didn’t respect him immediately.

“It took some time. He’s a guy who is not just let you come in and, on a shoot, can take anybody in the locker room. It takes time to earn his respect. It took me a cold pack of Coors Light in his locker room after [WrestleMania 35].”

Seth Rollins also revealed that it was Lesnar’s call to have their 2019 match open up the WrestleMania 35 card. Lesnar’s reasoning was that he felt having back-to-back world title changes to close out the show would hurt both matches. Lesnar vs. Rollins was initially set to take place right before the women’s triple threat title match between Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte.

Rollins admitted that at first, he was bummed out that he didn’t get the call to headline WrestleMania 35. On the flip side, he was elated for Becky Lynch, who is now Rollins’ wife.

Seth Rollins On The Original Plans For The Shield’s Breakup

Seth Rollins shocked the world when he turned on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns to end the Shield during the June 2, 2014 episode of Monday Night Raw.

However, during his recent appearance on the Broken Skull Session, Rollins revealed that WWE originally intended to break the faction up a lot earlier.

Rollins claimed that WWE had discussed breaking up the Shield back in January 2014. The plan was for it to lead to a match between Ambrose and Reigns at WrestleMania:

“What happened was, they wanted to break us up back in January [2014], maybe December. They wanted to go to Ambrose and Roman and at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. I was left out. Maybe a special referee or something.'”

Explaining how the plans got changed, Seth Rollins revealed that they went to talk to Triple H. They explained how they were on the cusp of a face turn and breaking them up would mean the loss of a lot of merchandise money.

Apart from this, the former Universal champion also talked about his 2019 Hell In A Cell match with Bray Wyatt and recalled being furious with Vince McMahon for it. You can check out his comments on the matter at this link.
