Reactions To Seth Rollins’ SummerSlam Win Over Brock Lesnar

Seth Rollins did the impossible when he finally beat the Brock Lesnar clean and won the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam.

Rollins received some brutal beatings at the hands of The Beast during the build-up of their SummerSlam encounter and he showed effects of these attacks throughout the match as Brock manhandled him on a number of occasions.

Lesnar targeted his opponents’ injured ribs throughout the bout and at one point; he even picked Rollins up with the tape around his ribs and swung him around the ring.

However, Seth was able to come back from this and he finally defeated the Universal Champion after delivering a frog splash to Lesnar through an announce table, followed by 2 Curb Stomps.

Rollins delivered an impressive performance in the bout and he was able to turn the fans who were booing him in the beginning into his supporters by the end of the night.

The trend continued on social media as well and people reacted to Rollins’ win over Brock Lesnar with some high praise for the new Universal Champion:

Now it would be interesting to see how Rollins celebrates this hard-fought victory on Raw and who turns out to be his first opponent in his second reign as the Universal Champion.

Seth Rollins Gets Emotional After SummerSlam Victory (Video)

A lot of people didn’t like it when Seth Rollins used a low blow to win his WrestleMania match against Brock Lesnar after months of buildup with Rollins calling out Brock for being a lazy part-timer.

WWE corrected the course of this storyline at SummerSlam where Seth once again got the chance to face Brock Lesnar and this time, he defeated the Beast clean.

After the PPV, the new Universal Champion was interviewed backstage where he was asked about his victory during the show. Answering the question, the Architect got emotional and called it the greatest victory of his career:

“Wrestlemania was what it was, but that’s the Brock Lesnar I wanted. That’s the competitor I wanted. I need to know how good I am. I go out there and tell the world how good I am. That’s the proof. To me, that might be the greatest victory in the history of my career. This is everything I am. This is all I got. “

Later Rollins was also asked about a possible championship celebration on this week’s Raw and he joked that he would love to hold one if he can get to the event after the brutal beatings he has received.

There is no word yet on if Brock Lesnar will be sticking around after this loss and who is going to be Seth’s next challenger if the Beast goes on another hiatus. We should get a better idea about his future during this week’s episode of the Red Branded Show.

Seth Rollins Wins Universal Championship At WWE SummerSlam

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar didn’t have a long run with the title as he was dethroned by Seth Rollins.

Lesnar dropped the strap in his latest title defense against Rollins in the headliner of the SummerSlam pay-per-view event in Toronto, Ontario.

Seth Rollins’ Road To Gold

Back on the July 15th episode of RAW, Rollins beat Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Randy Orton, and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Big E in a Cross Brand All-Star Battle Royal.

As a result, Rollins earned the right to challenge Lesnar for his title at this year’s SummerSlam.

Lesnar became champion again once he successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event in July to beat Rollins to become champion once again.

With Lesnar working a part-time schedule, there’s no word yet on when he’ll be making his next title defense.

Historically, WWE books Lesnar to work the Survivor Series pay-per-view event. this show will take place on November 24, 2019 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

Lesnar won the Money in the Bank contract back in May and after teasing it a few times, had not been seen on WWE programming since June.

Roman Reigns Thinks Seth Rollins Was Being Generous By Calling AEW Competition

Roman Reigns recently spoke to SPORT1 in Germany where he discussed a wide range of topics including AEW (All Elite Wrestling).

The question was asked if he thought AEW is competition. This is when he brought up previous comments made by Seth Rollins when talking about Jon Moxley and how he’s now a competitor due to him being in a different promotion.

“I think [Seth Rollins] is being generous in calling them a competition. I don’t want to get too deep into this […], I said it before: It’s an option and that’s great for professional wrestlers, pretty cool for fans.”

Reigns continued by stating that before his family was WWE only they were a territorial family. Thus, he understands that people had to move and work with different promotions and territories.

He stated that he’s always going to be a pro wrestler but at the end of the day, WWE is his home. This is because it’s what he represents.

“You can see it in other shows: It’s not easy to have a clean production, you have to have a lot of experience. Our talent is top-notch, we’ve got main eventers for day, but it also is our crew.”

Reigns continued by noting that their crew works hard to get shows up and running as there are many people that make this place work. Thus, when he sees other promotions trying to do the same then he thinks fans see the flaws and it makes them respect what they do even more.

Reigns ended by noting that it’s easy to complain but at the end of the day, “Nobody will do it like WWE. Period.”

The AEW All Out pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out.

Seth Rollins Makes SummerSlam Promise, Hobbs & Shaw Box Office Results

Seth Rollins Makes SummerSlam Promise

WWE is heading into the final week before the SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place.

One of the biggest programs on television that will likely headline SummerSlam is Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Title against Seth Rollins.

Rollins responded to a tweet sent out by WWE that looks at his history with Lesnar heading into this match. He wrote the following as a promise about the showdown:

Hobbs & Shaw Box Office Results

On Friday, the “Hobbs & Shaw” film that stars former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jason Statham was released. This is a spin-off film of the Fast & Furious series.

On Saturday it was reported that the film did $55 million – $57 million at the box office, according to Deadline. It was noted the film is said to doing a bit better than initial expectations.

Moving along in an update, the film is projected to have a $60 million opening weekend domestically. Variety notes it will be the biggest opening for a domestic film this summer outside of Disney and Marvel as it’ll bring in another $120 million this weekend overseas.

It’s directed by David Leitch, who presented Deadpool 2, and a script written by longtime Fast & Furious narrative architect Chris Morgan.

Bully Ray Comments On Brock Lesnar’s Destruction Of Seth Rollins

Brock Lesnar decimated Seth Rollins during this past Monday’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

“The Beast Incarnate” interrupted Rollins’ match against Dolph Ziggler, leaving Rollins needing medical attention. However, while strapped to a stretcher inside an ambulance, Lesnar would reappear and continue his vicious assault.

On an episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray argued that the segment would have been better if Rollins had someone by his side. Namely his girlfriend, Becky Lynch.

“Where was Becky?” he asked. “If we take a look at this in a quote-unquote real life and how real people react, if they would have just had Becky go in the ambulance with Seth—she didn’t have to get in, but she should have been the last person that Seth saw before the doors closed, and then Becky walks off out of the shot…Now, as a viewer, when Brock stops the ambulance and continues to destroy Seth, now in my mind I’m like, ‘Alright, well Becky thinks he’s okay, cause she thinks the ambulance left already.'”

Bully Ray continued, “That’s not the case, Becky would have saw everything. So, not only am I confused as to why she wasn’t there for her man when he was getting loaded in the ambulance, I wanna know why she wasn’t there for her man when he was getting his ass annihilated. Even the most non-confrontational people in the world will put their body on the line and sacrifice themselves to help a loved one, right?”

He stated that either Becky Lynch or Roman Reigns should have been involved in the segment, given their personal relationships with the former WWE Universal Champion.

Becky Lynch Admits She Was “Apprehensive” Over Storylines With Seth Rollins

Becky Lynch recently featured in a storyline that saw reality and fiction blend as WWE put her real-life relationship with Seth Rollins on screens for the WWE Universe.

In an interview with TalkSport.com, “The Man” admitted she was “apprehensive” over WWE’s decision to do so. She was worried that fans would simply focus on the relationship, and not the Superstars involved in the storyline.

“Honestly, I was very apprehensive,” Lynch stated. “What I didn’t want was everybody talking about the relationship. What I wanted was two bad asses, two people at the top of their game fighting side-by-side. Not for the world to be reminded every five minutes that this is Becky Lynch’s boyfriend or that’s Seth Rollins’ girlfriend. Which, of course, they didn’t do. They were the masters of subtlety…”

She continued, “So, for that reason, I was apprehensive. But when I thought about it, I was like OK. One, we’re going to make this a badass fight, it’s going to be a great fight. No matter what, you know when you put me and Seth Rollins in a fight you’re going to get pure passion and we’re going to pull out all the stops. But in terms of having my relationship be the freaking front and centre, that’s not what I’m about. That’s not what I’ve worked towards. That’s not what I wanted.”

Lynch explained that she wanted to work with Seth not because they’re dating, but because “he’s the best in the business—you know, besides me.”

The two paired up to take on Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans during WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Although Lynch and Rollins would win this match, Rollins would ultimately lose the WWE Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar, who chose that night to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase.

Seth Rollins Did Something Special For Family At WWE House Show

One WWE fan shared a cool story about their experience with former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins on social media.

WWE held a live event on Saturday night in Oklahoma City, OK at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. A fan noted in a post on Instagram that he sent Rollins a message and told him that if the WWE star needed a place to train while in town that he could make it happen.

Rollins took the fan up on his offer and trained at a local gym alongside fellow WWE star Cesaro and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

As a thank you to the fan, Rollins managed to get the fan and his family ringside tickets to the show. Rollins defeated Baron Corbin in a street fight that served as the main event of the show.

While Rollins has caught some backlash over his recent comments ranging from thinking WWE has the best wrestling on the planet to firing back at critical fans, this was a cool experience that he did for this family.

AJ Styles On Seth Rollins Defending WWE Against Criticism

Current WWE United States Champion AJ Styles shared his thoughts on all the criticism received by WWE from the fans during the past few weeks. He also defended Seth Rollins who has recently been vocal about WWE’s critics.

In an interview with Sporting News, Styles said that he understands why Rollins was calling out fans for their negativity towards WWE. Styles believes every Superstar tries their hardest to be received well by fans and it gets aggravating when things don’t go the way that they like and then we have to hear it from somebody else. Styles also thinks it is important to not care about armchair critics.

Speaking about Rollins calling out fans, Styles said, “I totally understand where he’s coming from. We’re out there doing trying our best to entertain everyone to the best of our ability. It’s not easy to do that and then you want to be arm-chair quarterbacks. Hindsight sucks. Everybody wants to do that. You can’t do that.

Styles says that if the critics were good at what they do, they would be working in the wrestling business:

“If they were so good at what they’ve done, and I know you’ve heard this before, if these guys who want to criticize wrestling were so good at what they do, they’d have a job in the wrestling business. But they don’t. They rely on what someone else has said and whether or not they agree with that. They pick and choose what they like. You can’t do that. Either you enjoy it or you don’t. Regardless, you’re making a show about it weekly, so something must be going right. Somebody is doing something right.”

Styles then ended with a comment emphasizing the fact that WWE Superstars are trying their best to entertain and it gets frustrating when people keep pointing out things that didn’t go the way they wanted to go.

“We want to entertain. We want to do our best, so it’s aggravating when not only do we know some things don’t go the way that we like, then we have to hear it from somebody else.”

Seth Rollins Says Brock Lesnar Is “Terrible Champion” Who “Doesn’t Inspire Anyone”

Seth Rollins recently spoke with TheHindu.com where he talked about a wide range of topics including WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. This is where Rollins gave some interesting comments about “The Beast.”

During this interview, Rollins talked about their upcoming match as he challenges Lesnar for the Universal Title at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena.

Rollins brought up how he has already shown the world he can beat Lesnar when he did at WrestleMania 35 to win the title. He’s confident that he can do it again.

Rollins thinks Lesnar took advantage of him at Extreme Rules by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract just moments after he emerged from a grueling battle.

Seth Rollins’ Beliefs

“Now you tell me, is such a win befitting of a champion? No kid in the world grows up wanting to be a ‘Brock Lesnar’. He might be a great wrestler/ performer, but he doesn’t inspire anyone, doesn’t do anything for the brand or business, and most of all, he’s a terrible champion.”

This isn’t the first time that Rollins has been critical of Lesnar as he has made similar comments in past interviews back in April leading up to their match at WrestleMania.

Rollins has gone as far as calling Lesnar an industry killer for being a star who is part-time on the roster yet is pushed to the level of full-time talent. Not just with television exposure but also for being the top champion.

With being a champion in WWE, the responsibilities of that role are not just inside of the ring but also outside of it with media appearances to promote the company. With Lesnar being a part-time champion, he doesn’t make appearances at house shows and all episodes of RAW. Some people believe impacts the company in popularity.

Seth Rollins Talks About Being A Locker Room Leader, Standing Up To Critics

Seth Rollins has been a vocal advocate for WWE in recent weeks. In between Twitter feuds with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) talent like Will Ospreay, Rollins has spoken with multiple news outlets about his love of WWE and his take on their critics.

In an interview with TVInsider.com, Rollins spoke once more about WWE’s critics and the idea that WWE is simply ‘phoning in’ their shows.

“I have always been proud to work for the company,” he stated. “I just think it got to where it became cool to criticize WWE because we are so big and popular. It just sucks that this is the society we live in now, where it’s much easier to point out all the things you think is bad as opposed to pointing out all the awesome stuff that is going on in the world.”

He explained that it felt that nobody in the locker room was standing up for WWE when he claims they have so much to be proud of.

“If taking on a leadership role is what you want to call it, it’s certainly something where I stepped forward and put my foot down…The fact I had people from different departments shoot me texts to let me know they had my back because they felt I had their back. That was cool and validating. I felt really good I was representing many people who felt the way I felt.”

In regards to phoning in shows, Rollins argued that everyone is giving “a thousand per cent effort all the time” whether it’s t-shirt designs to two-minute matches.

“We try to put out the best show possible every single time. And I’m not just talking about Monday Night Raw or PPVs. I’m talking about every live event. I’m talking about every department,” Rollins said.

“Fact is everyone loves what they’re doing and wants to be the best. That’s where all the negativity I think stems from. The fact everybody wants to be so good at it and the product to be as great as it possibly can be that it’s easy to point fingers and say, ‘Well, I can do better.’ Or say things like, ‘They’re not trying hard enough.'”

He claimed that until you put yourself into their shoes, “you can’t throw stones” as, without experiencing it, there’s no way a person could understand the type of work that goes into what they do.

Seth Rollins Says WWE Will Knock AEW Dead, Surprised By Jon Moxley Jumping Ship

Seth Rollins continues to make interesting comments while doing interviews that includes him talking about the launch of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and the competition that the promotion brings to WWE.

WWE’s former Universal Champion took part in a media conference call Monday to promote SummerSlam. Rollins had some strong words for WWE’s upstart rivals and admits he was caught off guard by Jon Moxley’s surprise appearance at AEW Double or Nothing.

Here are some excerpts from that call, courtesy of John Pollock:

Seth Rollins on Jon Moxley joining AEW:

“I was surprised by it for sure. I knew Ambrose needed some time away from WWE but the thing is, he just loves wrestling, he loves the industry, he just wanted some freedom and do his own thing and that happens, you know? And that happens for everybody and I understand his position and why he wanted to go over there and that’s on him. But, now he’s competition, now he’s the one trying to take dinner off my table so good on him but we’re going to do our best to continue to be the best here at WWE.”

AEW as competition for WWE:

“Those guys want to step up to the big leagues to give it a shot? Then by all means but we’re going to knock them dead just like we do everybody else.”

Moxley departed from WWE at the end of April as he had decided to not sign a new contract with the company. WWE officials offered him a five-year contract that was more than seven figures per year, but Moxley reportedly turned it down. He would later sign with AEW.

While Rollins and Moxley were good friends in WWE, it appears that Moxley going to AEW and the comments he made about WWE during his time with the company has rubbed Rollins the wrong way as this is not the first time that Rollins has been critical of Moxley.

The SummerSlam pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena and will air on the WWE Network. At this show, Rollins will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in what could be the main event of this special.

Seth Rollins Shares What He Believes Paul Heyman Will Bring To RAW As Executive Director

The WWE Universe and WWE Superstars alike are eager to see what kind of change will come about now WWE has hired Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors.

In an interview with Newsweek, former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins commented on what he believes Paul Heyman will bring to RAW in his new role.

He stated that it’s nice having people like Heyman and Bischoff in creative roles, calling them both “super influential.”

“[…] if you want to look to the future, you’ll want to look at the past and find good examples,” Rollins claimed. “We have done a great job of collecting a lot of great minds over the last several years. Especially this past year, we have Bruce Prichard back there, Jeff Jarrett back there as well. We’re adding Paul and Eric to the mix. There’s a lot of information and brainpower in the creative department so it’ll be cool to see where things go from here.”

Risk-Taker

When it comes down to his home brand RAW, and its specific Executive Director, however, Rollins was quick to praise Heyman’s influence, creativity, and willingness to take risks.

“One thing about Paul, and it’s still true to this day, is that he’s not afraid to take risks. He’s good at taking a lot of things about the talent that people may see as weakness and turn them into strengths,” Rollins explained.

“The way he sees talent is different than other people in the creative side. So you combine that with the ability, and willingness, to take risks that other people aren’t it adds for an exciting and unpredictable three hours of RAW. And so I’m looking to see the crazy left and right turns that he’ll take us moving forward.”

Rollins recently won a Battle Royal on Monday Night RAW, earning him the chance to claim back his WWE Universal Championship from the current champion, Brock Lesnar. The two will clash once more on August 11th at SummerSlam.

Seth Rollins Admits He Isn’t A Fan Of WWE’s Wild Card Rule

Not everyone is a fan of WWE’s Wild Card rule.

One Superstar who hasn’t been a fan of the ruling is former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins.

Rollins spoke with Newsweek.com and talked openly about his critical opinion of the rule.

“The Wild Card really muddled things up, to be honest with you,” Rollins admitted. “Now you’re seeing those guys every single week. It used to feel special when I see the New Day, but now they’re eating pancakes backstage every chance they get on Monday, and I’m not a fan of that.”

“[…] I think once you see the move to Fox, it’s really going to tighten down as far as best Wild Card options and stuff like. It’s really cool to see things come together now and get these cool match-ups you might not get in October or November.”

Despite the Wild Card ruling, Rollins has remained firmly on Monday Night RAW.
Seth explains that “RAW is my gig, man” before adding that, due to SmackDown’s two hour run time, he has no intention of appearing on the show to take over segments. He also mentioned that he has no desire to deal with Shane McMahon more than he has to.

The Wild Card rule went into effect only weeks after WWE held their Superstar Shake-Up—done to freshen up their rosters in order to provide the WWE Universe with new feuds and stories.

nstead, the Wild Card rule was introduced, nullifying a lot of what the Superstar Shake-Up had accomplished.

Seth Rollins Discusses Being Separated From Becky Lynch In New WWE Storylines

WWE didn’t take long to pair up Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch into their storylines after it was revealed the two were dating in real life.

Following Extreme Rules, however, it appears that WWE may not be sending the two of them in different directions.

Speaking with Newsweek, Seth Rollins addressed their storyline pairing, claiming that they only came together on TV because of Baron Corbin.

“The stories aligned only because of Baron Corbin aligned them,” Rollins said. “It was circumstantial. It wasn’t like Becky and I thought “hey, we’re dating now, let’s be on TV together and have matches together.” So now we’re back being supportive boyfriend and girlfriend for each other.
I’m looking forward to her match with Natalya at SummerSlam, and, hopefully, she’s looking forward to me beating Brock Lesnar and winning back the Universal title.”

Seth Rollins lost the WWE Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar after Lesnar cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase at Extreme Rules. The cash in took place after Rollins and Lynch defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans.

He would subsequently earn the right to face Lesnar at SummerSlam after winning a Battle Royal on this past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Seth Rollins Comments On People “Hating” On WWE

Former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins has speculated as to why fans find it so easy to “hate” WWE.

Speaking with Yahoo! Sports, Rollins would compare WWE to mainstream sports teams such as the New York Yankees and the New England Patriots. He argues that their popularity leaves them open to easy hate and criticism from fans.

“We’re the New York Yankees. It’s easy to hate the New England Patriots. We’re those teams, we’re the dynasty,” Rollins stated. “It’s easy to hate us, but we’re still the most popular company in the world at what we do.”

“We’re so far beyond being a wrestling company that it’s very easy to point the finger and hate on us,” he continued. “That’s the cool thing to do, it makes perfect sense to me, it’s how it’s always been in sports and entertainment, you always hate the big guy. It’s fine, I’m not upset about it at all.”

He adds that he just wants “people to understand and appreciate the things we go through and the fact that we’re always trying to do our best. Nobody is taking it easy, nobody is just getting by. Everybody from top to bottom, every department in the entire company is putting in as much work as they possibly can to make this the best.”

Rollins lost the Universal Championship this past Sunday at WWE’s Extreme Rules event after Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase. This came after Rollins’ main event victory with Becky Lynch over Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans.

Seth Rollins Addresses Critics Of His Relationship With Becky Lynch

Seth Rollins has addressed the critics of his relationship with RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.

Speaking with Tampa Bay Times, Rollins discussed his relationship with “The Man” and how their relationship has impacted them.

“It’s great. We spend all of our time together anyway. So might as well add the on-screen stuff to it as well,” Rollins said.

He admitted to learning a lot from her in-ring and promo ability, adding that “Just from a performer’s perspective, I get a lot out being near her on-screen and off-screen I get a lot as well, so it works out in both places.”

When it comes to the critics, however, Rollins states that they may simply “be a little jealous.”

“I think that’s where a lot of that stems from,” he said. “I mean, if I’m a dude and I’m watching television, and I have a crush on Becky Lynch, I’m probably not going to be too fond of the guy who’s dating her either, so I get that. We have such great chemistry; I think it’s funny that people think we don’t. Either way, it amuses me.”

Becky Lynch recently trolled fans after seeing criticism, suggesting that she and Rollins have no chemistry together.

Seth Rollins Calls Baron Corbin A “Huge Contributor” To WWE

The WWE Universe may not be entirely behind Baron Corbin, but one of his Superstar colleagues appears to be.

Former Universal Champion, Seth Rollins, spoke with the Tampa Bay Times and had some high praise for his rival, Corbin.

“You know what, he’s come a long way,” Rollins stated. “For a guy who came into the developmental system with no clout, he wasn’t from the indies, and he never wrestled a match before, he stepped into the doors in Tampa, and he learned very quickly from some of the best guys we have in our industry.”

Rollins explained that Corbin wasn’t given much of a chance by people, including himself.

“He comes from a different world and sometimes you can be ostracized for that. He’s a guy who took a bit of the hazing, but he pushed through, persevered, and he grew really love the industry, and he has dedicated the last four years of his life to being on the road nonstop.”

Seth argued that Baron Corbin works just as hard as anyone else on the WWE roster. He went on to call him a “huge contributor to our roster and the product we put out every week.”

Seth Rollins On Wrestling Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam, Interesting Randy Orton Stat

Seth Rollins On Wrestling Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam

Seth Rollins has given his reaction to wrestling Brock Lesnar yet again for the WWE Universal Title. He earned the opportunity for this rematch at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Monday’s Raw.

Rollins beat Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Randy Orton, and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Big E in a Cross Brand All-Star Battle Royal on Monday’s Raw.

Rollins took to his official Twitter account where he wrote, “Its been my mission since Rumble to bring that title back to Raw and to the live events every week..and to defend it with passion. Lesnar is my Everest, and with your support….at Summerslam I reach the summit.”

Interesting Randy Orton Stat

Speaking of the Cross Brand All-Star Battle Royal, WWE’s Stats & Info Twitter account shared an interesting note on Randy Orton.

That stat was the fact that this match marked the first time since 2015 that Orton worked a match on the flagship show of the company as he has been used on SmackDown Live over the course of time. You can see WWE’s tweet with the stat here:

Becky Lynch Helps Seth Rollins After Extreme Rules Goes Off Air (Video)

Seth Rollins went through a gruesome Extreme Rules match at the PPV of the same name where he and Becky Lynch defended their Universal Championship and Raw Women’s Championship respectively.

The duo fought hard against the team of Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans who took the champions and real-life couple to their limit in the main event of the WWE PPV.

Though at the culmination of the bout, Corbin delivered an End Of Days to Becky which caused Rollins to lose control and after some brutal chair shots and two Curb Stomps, Seth was able to retain his title by pinning the former Raw GM.

However, this wasn’t the end of the night and things didn’t go Rollins’ way after this as Mr. Money In The Bank Brock Lesnar made his way to the ring after the bout was over.

Brock cashed in his contract on Rollins and after two German Suplexes and an F5, the Beast was able to defeat the Architect and reclaim the championship he lost at WrestleMania earlier this year.

After the show went off air, WWE posted the following video where Becky Lynch is seen helping the now former Universal Champion as both the stars make their way to the backstage area:

There is no word yet on what the company is planning for Rollins after this and we would have to see if he goes after Lesnar or continues his rivalry with Baron Corbin after the show.

Brock Lesnar Wins Universal Title At WWE Extreme Rules

Brock Lesnar is the new WWE Universal Champion.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Universal Champion Seth Rollins beat Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans to retain their respective titles in a Mixed Tag Team Winners Take All Extreme Rules Match at Extreme Rules. This was a blowoff match between all four stars after months of them feuding with each other.

Post-match, Brock Lesnar walks out to the ring and hit german suplexes to Rollins a few times. Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and hit an F5 to Rollins for the win. This closed the show.

This match was set up at the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event where Rollins retained the title over Corbin with Lacey Evans being the special guest referee. The finish of the match saw Evans attack Rollins which led to Lynch making the save and Rollins getting a fair referee to get the pinfall victory. Earlier in the night, Lynch retained her RAW Women’s Title over Evans.

Lesnar won the Money in the Bank contract back in May and after teasing it a few times, had not been seen on WWE programming since June. Paul Heyman had been teasing Lesnar might cash it in and that’s exactly what happened.

What are your thoughts on Brock Lesnar winning the Universal Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Becky Lynch Trolls Fans After Criticism Of No Chemistry With Seth Rollins

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had some fun with fans after receiving some criticism.

It all started when she saw the negativity from some people about how it seems like there is no chemistry between herself and boyfriend WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. You can see how the two top champions on the RAW roster responded here:

https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1146850638296506368

The company started bringing up their real-life relationship on television a few months ago that led to them being involved in storylines. The two stars have been dating since earlier this year.

WWE has already confirmed that Lynch and Rollins against Zelina Vega and Andrade in a Mixed Tag Team Match would take place on Monday’s episode of RAW in Newark, NY at the Prudential Arena.

WWE presents the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center. At this show, Rollins and Lynch will defend their titles in a Winners Take All Mixed Tag Team Match against Lacey Evans and Baron Corbin.

This match was booked due to how the main event played out at the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event.

Seth Rollins Apologizes To Will Ospreay

WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins has offered up an apology to Will Ospreay regarding some comments he made on Twitter last week. Rollins says he’s had time to reflect on the situation and believes his tweets do not align with his values.

“After a few days to sit on it, I’d like to apologize to @WillOspreay for the tweet I sent his way about comparing bank accounts,” Rollins wrote. “It was dumb of me & not in line with my values. The moment I pressed the send button I knew it was trash, but I’m too stubborn for my own good.”

“I stand firm in my sentiments that @WWE is the best pro wrestling on the planet and that I’m the best of the best doing it right now. After a helluva week of travel, our crew didn’t waver for a second. Top level humans busting their asses for the love of the game.

“I couldn’t be more proud to be a champion with this company and represent @WWE and the entire industry in the way it deserves. No more garbage tweets. I can and will be better.”

Seth Rollins and Will Ospreay

The online conflict between the two began after Will Ospreay responded to a Tweet of Rollins’. The WWE Universal Champion stated that it would be impossible to find another wrestler who performs at his level as often as he does.

“Ahhhh I’m sorry little guy,” Rollins Tweeted back. “We already have a better version of you here and he just won his first US Title tonight (Congrats @KingRicochet). Keep working hard though buddy!”

Ospreay then Tweeted out that he had, in fact, wrestled more matches in 2019 than Rollins had.

“I mean if you wanna talk numbers we can compare bank accounts too,” Rollins responded. “P.S. That’s counting a month off with a broken back…”

Baron Corbin then decided he wanted to be part of the conversation as well:

Seth Rollins Comments On Paul Heyman’s New Role

News that Paul Heyman will be the new Executive Director of WWE RAW might not be welcomed by current Universal champion, Seth Rollins. Heyman’s client, Brock Lesnar, has been involved in a rivalry with Rollins for much of the year.

Rollins had the following to say when asked on Twitter if he felt Heyman’s appointment was fair and if he would request a transfer to Smackdown.

Rollins also had the following to say in regards to Eric Bischoff’s new role in WWE:

Paul Heyman on Seth Rollins

In reality, Paul Heyman has praised Seth Rollins publicly on multiple occasions. At a live version of the “Cheap Heat” podcast held last summer, Heyman was asked who he felt WWE’s next big rebel was and answered he felt it is Rollins.

“Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins, because he continuously comes up with moves that are politically incorrect and they have to tell him to stop doing them but they become so popular that they end up saying to him ‘alright go ahead, we’ll deal with it, go do it,’” said Heyman.

“It’s because he’s innovative and he rebels against the system that tries to be politically correct and he continues to be politically incorrect and when he came up with the saying of ‘Burn it Down,’ he was being honest about what he thought would be the constraints of what was being put on him, that he’s going to break through that and do things his way and innovate a style that you can only see in a Seth Rollins match.”

Will Ospreay: “I Don’t Care About Being The Best In The World”

Will Ospreay has been involved in an online dispute with Seth Rollins in the last few days. Rollins said on Twitter that he’s the best wrestler on the planet and Ospreay noted that he should be involved in that conversation as well.

Ospreay appeared on Wrestling Observer radio recently and went into further detail regarding his opinion on who the best in the world is.

“I don’t care about being the best in the world, I just care about doing the best of my abilities,” Ospreay said when asked if he thought he was the best wrestler in the world. “If you ask me my genuine opinion who the best wrestler in the world is, I genuinely think it’s a toss-up between Okada and AJ Styles.”

Ospreay also mentioned that Kenny Omega should be included in that group as well.

“There is a list of guys that you could probably call the best in the world,” Ospreay said.

He would continue to say he just wants to do the best he can each night. Ospreay stressed he doesn’t want to let things like star-ratings matter to him.

“I just want to wrestle and I want to prove that I do belong there in that list of guys,” he concluded.
