Seth Rollins Explains What He Thinks Fans Take For Granted

With such a big event like WrestleMania 35, WWE sets up various WWE stars to do interviews to promote the big event. That includes newly-crowned WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins as he spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated.

Rollins was able to get back on top of the RAW brand when he beat Brock Lesnar to win the Universal Title in the opening match of the main card of the show.

Rollins spoke about a wide range of topics during this interview including putting on great matches at events, which brought up him being asked if he viewed himself as the best in the world.

“Best in the world?” asked Rollins. “Who knows what that means. But there are only a handful of guys who understand what we do, and doing at my level—as often as often I do—there is probably nobody else. That’s my opinion.”

Rollins also noted that he thinks by having great matches on television or other events, they have been overlooked because he always puts on good matches when he steps into the ring. Thus, he thinks fans might be taking that for granted.

“I’ve gone out and had great matches the past couple years that people have taken it for granted, to the point where a great match on Monday night doesn’t even get a sneeze because I do it so regularly. I just don’t think there’s anybody else out there that has as many incredible matches, with different opponents and different styles, as I do. I don’t think anybody’s resume’ can speak as loud as mine can, so I have no problem calling myself the best performer in the entire world.”

Becky Lynch To Bring Both Belts To RAW Tonight (Preview)

Becky Lynch is the new WWE RAW and Smackdown women’s champion. The Champ Champ will bring both titles to RAW tonight inside Barclay’s Center. The “RAW after Mania” tonight promises to create new storylines where old ones have been concluded.

WWE RAW 4/8 Preview

In addition to Becky Lynch, several other newly crowned champions will be on tonight’s show. Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Zach Ryder, & Curt Hawkins all have new championships as a result of their matches at WrestleMania and all will be on RAW tonight.

Becky Lynch Brings Both Belts To WWE RAW

Becky Lynch will bring both belts to RAW tonight. While WWE is giving little away as to what Becky will be doing on the show tonight, there will likely be some type of ceremony to honor her accomplishment.

Becky’s segment tonight raises other questions, however. For instance, will either Charlotte Flair or Ronda Rousey be on-hand? Or will Flair stick to Smackdown and Rousey ride off to the sunset? There are still a lot of unanswered questions at the top of WWE’s women’s divisions and we might get some answers tonight.

Seth Rollins Returns To RAW

Seth Rollins is the new Universal champion. He slew the beast at WrestleMania and now that beast has flown home and reportedly has more interest in Daniel Cormier’s title belt than the one Rollins now holds.

Rollins has promised to be the opposite kind of champion Brock was. The Architect plans to be a fighting champion which could mean he puts the title on the line tonight.

Drew McIntyre Not Expected To Go Away Quietly

Despite losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania on Sunday, Drew McIntyre is not expected to drop his rivalry with the Big Dog. McIntyre controlled much of his match against Reigns and sources are saying he plans on pursuing another match with the former Universal champion. We’ll likely find out more about this tonight.

Finn Balor’s 2nd Intercontinental Championship Reign Begins Tonight

Much like with Rollins, Balor says he plans to be a fighting champion. To that end, we could even see Balor put the title on the line tonight.

Balor won the Intercontinental championship by defeating Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania. He did so, however, as his demon gimmick. Balor could likely have to prove he can defend the title without the demon sooner rather than later, however.

The Streak Is Broken

For the first time in 5 years, the RAW after Mania will also feature the fall-out from a long streak ending. Instead of the Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak coming to an end at WM30, however, it’s Curt Hawkins long losing streak coming to an end at WM35.

Hawkins and Ryder pulled off the upset over the Revival last night. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder will likely be looking for a rematch soon, however, so time will tell how long the new champs can keep their current winning streak alive.

Seth Rollins Wins Universal Title At WWE WrestleMania

Seth Rollins has returned to being on top of the mountain in the WWE, and the reign of Brock Lesnar being the Universal Champion has come to an end.

Rollins conquered “The Beast” in one of the main events of the WWE WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ. This served as the opening match.

He earned this title match once he won this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match back in January. Rollins outlasted the likes of Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, and plenty more Superstars at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

As a result of beating out 29 other stars, he earned the right to be in one of the main events of Mania and had the chance to go after one of the top titles in the company that was held by Lesnar, who retained the title over title contender Finn Balor at this same show. This marked the last match before Mania that Lesnar worked.

Lesnar won the title when it was vacant back in November against Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel event at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

What are your thoughts on Rollins winning the title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Chris Jericho Explains Why He Thinks Brock Lesnar Is Winning At WrestleMania

Although Chris Jericho is no longer under contract with the WWE as he has signed a deal with AEW (All Elite Wrestling), he’s keeping an eye on the product that the company serves its fans.

Thus, he previewed WrestleMania 35 on his podcast, Talk is Jericho, and gave his picks for some of the matches. One of the top matches on the card is Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Title against Seth Rollins.

In his mind, WWE potentially booking three straight changes in World Title matches has him thinking that Vince McMahon may not do that.

The belief is that Kofi Kingston will beat WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Becky Lynch beating WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Jericho brought up how he loves Rollins and Lesnar is good with working with smaller talents. Thus, he thinks this is going to be a hard-hitting match and Lesnar will control the majority of the contest.

“I think Seth Rollins has to win, except for one thing. Jericho stated. “I feel really hard pressed to believe that Vince is going to have three World Championship change hands in three consecutive matches. I’m afraid we’re going down the same worm hole we went in last year, as to where Brock is going to sign another deal the morning of WrestleMania. Another few million bucks to stay another couple matches, or maybe he’s staying already, I don’t know. Everything tells me I want Seth Rollins to win, except for I know how the WWE and Vince McMahon books and I’m gonna say Brock is gonna win. Ah! I hate even saying that!”

Becky Lynch Thinks Seth Rollins Needs To Beat Brock Lesnar For Future Of WWE

Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will be cheering on Seth Rollins when he challenges Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35.

Lynch, who is set to share the ring alongside WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in the headliner of this show, spoke with GQ to promote the event.

This is where Lynch made it known that she thinks Rollins needs to beat Lesnar for the future of WWE.

“For the future of the business, Seth Rollins needs to take that championship off of Brock Lesnar. It needs to be defended on shows. It’s not fair that it’s being held hostage. If Seth Rollins is the champion, then we’re going to see that, because that man works his a** off and delivers every single time. He deserves to be the champion and the people deserve to have him as champion.”

Lynch would bring up Rousey while talking with Lesnar about being champions on a part-time schedule and handed everything because they have a name.

“They’re champions who don’t show any respect for the business and don’t care about the future of it. That’s the difference between Seth and myself and Brock and Ronda: Seth and I care. We love this industry, we love this business.”

Seth Rollins Believes Brock Lesnar Is An “Industry Killer”

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins did a recent interview with Yahoo Sports where he talked about a wide range of topics that include WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

Rollins is set to challenge Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania 35. While doing various interviews, Rollins has made some interesting comments about the top champion on the flagship show of the WWE, Monday Night RAW. Part of this is due to further build their program

In this interview, Rollins talked about how in his mind he thinks people are sick of Lesnar and that he thinks Lesnar isn’t an industry builder but rather a killer as a result of his part-time status.

“I think people are just sick of it,” Rollins said. “You’ve seen and heard it every single week. They want to see a champion who is going to be there, that’s going to represent them, that’s a champion they can be proud of and one that inspires people. Brock Lesnar doesn’t inspire anybody. He’s an industry killer, not an industry builder. He cares about no one but himself and he’ll tell you that, it’s been that way his entire life.”

Rollins added, “He was given the opportunity years ago to carry the mantle here in WWE but it was too tough for him and he walked away. Granted, he’s been able to come back and do things on his own terms, but his own terms only serve himself.”

Seth Rollins Says Dean Ambrose Leaving WWE Breaks His Heart

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins did a recent interview with Cathy Kelley for WWE.com where he talked about a wide range of topics that include the impending departure of Dean Ambrose.

Ambrose will be departing from the WWE at the end of April as he has decided to not sign a new contract with the company. WWE officials offered him a five-year contract that was more than seven figures per year, but Ambrose reportedly turned it down.

Rollins said, “It breaks my heart. I get it. I understand this place can be frustrating.”

He brought up that Ambrose has been wrestling for several years and sometimes you just need to step away and take care of yourself. He wishes him luck in what he wants to do next. Ambrose marches to the beat of his own drum and Rollins knows how he feels about his creativity.

“Sometimes when it pulls him in a different direction, that’s just how he’s gotta be.” Rollins added that he never thought the three of them (himself, Ambrose, and Roman Reigns) working anywhere else or not being in WWE at the same time.

Lesnar & Rollins RAW Segment Reportedly Changed Last Minute

Seth Rollins hit Brock Lesnar with a low blow last night to close their segment on RAW. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, however, what happened last night was as a result of a last-minute booking change. Originally, Brock Lesnar was supposed to be the one standing tall at the end of the segment.

“That segment was originally written to go the other way,” Dave Meltzer said of the Lesnar/Rollins segment. “It was right before the show started they switched it. It was a Vince call and it was the right call.”

Highlights from the segment can be seen in the player below:

Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins – WrestleMania 35

Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar have wrestled in single’s action just once on WWE programming. They wrestled to a no-contest draw at Battleground in 2015. Rollins was defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the match.

Lesnar and Rollins have met twice in multi-person matches. At the 2015 Royal Rumble, Lesnar won a triple threat match against John Cena and Rollins to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins then beat Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the title at 2 months later at WrestleMania 35.

The match will be just the 2nd title defense for Lesnar after having won the title at Crown Jewel last November. The champion defeated Finn Balor at Royal Rumble 2019.

Seth Rollins Explains How He Got The Curb Stomp Unbanned

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins spoke to The Wrap to promote the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event where he discussed various topics. During the interview, Rollins talked about getting his finisher, The Stomp unbanned by WWE.

It turns out that Rollins had to talk with WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon about getting to use the finisher again.

“It was a conversation that I had to have with [Vince McMahon]. It was something where he had his reasons for why he wanted to get rid of it at the time. “That was a fine and dandy, but I was having trouble getting a finisher that I was happy with and he was happy with.”

Rollins, who is slated to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at this show, brought up having to use The Pedigree and the Ripcord Knee but he understands that The Stomp is what he’s known for as his finishing move.

The Monday Night RAW star continued, “When it came down to it, I just went and asked him a few years later. I said, ‘Hey look, I want to do this. Give me reasons not to and I will tell you why you’re wrong and hopefully, we can meet in the middle,’” Rollins recalled. “He was on my side, I caught him on a good day. Luckily it’s back and hopefully, it’s not going anywhere.”

Seth Rollins Recalls Previous Match With Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles Responds To Finn Balor’s Photo

Seth Rollins Recalls Previous Match With Brock Lesnar

Seth Rollins is all set to face the Beast Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at the upcoming WrestleMania PPV, and he hopes to dethrone Lesnar to inspire people backstage.

However, this won’t be their first one on one encounter as Rollins previously faced Lesnar at the Battleground PPV on July 19, 2015. There he was able to retain his WWE Championship thanks The Undertaker’s attack on The Beast.

Seth recently made a Tweet where he recalled his last match with Brock. The Artitecht revealed that he has had a poster of their Battleground match in his office for the past 4 years due to a very specific reason:

AJ Styles Responds To Finn Balor’s Photo

Finn Balor recently posted a photo of himself and former WWE Champion AJ Styles talking somewhere backstage during a WWE Show with a thinking emoji. Styles also responded to it, claiming Balor is his brother:

These two had a match at TLC 2017 where AJ had replaced Bray Wyatt after Wyatt was ruled out of the event due to an illness. This bout was won by the former NXT Champion.

AJ Styles is currently scheduled to face Randy Orton in a one on one match at the upcoming WrestleMania PPV. On the other hand, Finn Balor will be facing Bobby Lashley and he is rumored to bring out his Demon Persona for this bout.

Seth Rollins Explains Why He Wants To Beat Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar doesn’t usually participate much in the buildup for any of his matches, so mostly it’s up to his opponent to try and sell their bout against the Beast Incarnate.

The same is the case this time and while Brock is probably resting in his home, his next opponent Seth Rollins is here, telling people why he wants to dethrone the Beast.

Rollins recently spoke to Sporting News in the spree. He expressed his feelings towards the current Universal Champion, saying that he wants his champion to be headlining all the events.

Continuing on the topic, Seth explained that a champion like Brock doesn’t inspire people and it’s frustrating for him as a fan to see the top belt of the company being held hostage:

“He’s in it for the money and he’ll tell you that. It’s just frustrating for me as a fan of our industry to see it kind of be held hostage by someone who only cares about themselves and making their own money.”

Elsewhere, the Architect also recalled trying to carry the mantle of being an inspiring champion with the IC title but explained that the prestige carried by the Universal title makes it the championship. And so he wants to beat Lesnar.

So far there is no news on what WWE is planning for this Universal Championship match. While Seth Rollins has been building this feud for a while, at this point nothing is set in stone and the odds can turn in the favor of either of the competitors.

Seth Rollins Provides Update On Back Injury

It was reported a while back that Seth Rollins was dealing with a back injury and after this WWE had removed him from all Live Events leading up to WrestleMania.

While it was said that Rollins will be ready to go for the Show Of Shows, fans were still concerned about his health and whether or not he will be at his 100% for the fight against Brock Lesnar.

However during a recent interview with Sporting News, the former World Champion provided an update on his status. The Architect revealed that he has been cleared by the WWE Doctors and he feels good:

“I did have a lingering back issue that I was dealing with. (but) I’ve been cleared by our doctors. I had to take a few weeks to rest but it looks like I’ll be fine moving forward. I feel good. I’ve ramped up training in the gym and at my school. I feel healthy and, hopefully, I’ll be able to pick that guy up and throw him around a little bit so I’m not the only one getting tossed around.”

Apart from this Rollins also talked about his knee injury in 2015, why he wants to beat Brock Lesnar and more. You can check out some more highlights from his interview here.

Seth Rollins is currently scheduled to challenge Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at the WrestleMania PPV. Click here to check out an updated match card for the event.

Seth Rollins Discusses Recently Being Sidelined With Injury

Seth Rollins has discussed the exact injury that caused him to be sidelined from in-ring competition under the WWE banner.  He did so while talking with Brian Fritz of Sporting News where he noted that it was a back injury that put him on the shelf for about a month.

WWE gave Rollins time off for the month of February but still had him making appearances on their flagship show, Monday Night RAW.

He returned after last wrestling in late January when he teamed up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to do a reunion for a six-man tag team match against Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, and Bobby Lashley at the Fastlane pay-per-view event. The company would then book him in matches against Shelton Benjamin on March 11 and March 18 against McIntyre on RAW.

WWE gave Rollins time off from in-ring competition as he had February off from wrestling but still appeared on television. He returned to in-ring action at the Fastlane pay-per-view event to work a six-man tag team match alongside Shield members Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. He would also work matches against Shelton Benjamin and Drew McIntyre on episodes of Monday Night Raw this month.

“Yeah, I did have a lingering back issue that I was dealing with,” Rollins said. “At the end of the day, I’m able to compete. I’ve been cleared by our doctors. I had to take a few weeks to rest, but it looks like I’ll be fine moving forward. I feel good. I’ve ramped up training in the gym and at my school (Black and Brave Wrestling Academy). I feel really good. I feel healthy and, hopefully, I’ll be able to pick that guy up and throw him around a little bit, so I’m not the only one getting tossed around.”

Rollins is slated to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 35.

Seth Rollins Looking To Change The World At WrestleMania 35 Against Brock Lesnar

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins has one of the biggest matches of his career in front of him. He’s looking to reclaim the right to call himself the top star on the Monday Night RAW brand and must get past Brock Lesnar in order to do so.

WWE has already confirmed that he’ll challenge Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. They actually have history at this event and wrestled a singles match back at WWE Battleground 2015.

If you recall, back in 2015 at WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara, California at Levi’s Stadium, Lesnar was wrestling Roman Reigns in the main event. This was when Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase during the match that allowed him to win the WWE Title.

Rollins took to his official Twitter account over the weekend to express his focus as he wrote the following:

“I’ll be in Boston signing at @HotRodShows from 12-2ish tomorrow! Then Monday it’s #Raw at @tdgarden. With Mania only two weeks out, I’ve never been more focused or prepared in my life. I’m ready to change the world, again.”

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019, in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network.

Jim Ross Blasts Seth Rollins’ Portrayal On Raw

Seth Rollins is set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal title at WrestleMania 35. As such, it was surprising to see the babyface challenger pinned in the main event of Monday’s Raw.

Rollins was distracted by Lesnar’s entrance music being played, then ate a Claymore Kick from Drew McIntyre, leading to the pinfall.

Jim Ross takes issue with Rollins’s portrayal in his loss to McIntyre, and lays out his reasoning on this week’s Jim Ross Report.

Jim Ross on Drew McIntyre Defeating Seth Rollins on RAW

“I didn’t like the way that Raw went off the air, where, again, a music interruption causes the decision of a match to be determined,” says Ross.

“It happens over and over again: Interrupt, distraction, screwjob. Interrupt, distraction, screwjob.”

Ross continues, saying that Rollins was made to look foolish, in a way that the top babyface stars of another era would not have been.

“Can you imagine Steve Austin or The Rock falling for that music interrupt piece of business? No. Because it wouldn’t happen,” says Ross.

JR goes on to discuss the perils of trying to maintain parity among talent.

“I have a big problem with trying to protect everybody on the roster,” Ross says.

“It’s not a game of protection. It’s a game of execution. If you can execute well, and you’re given the tools to execute well, there’s absolutely no reason that a loss to a talent that is already ‘over’, is going to significantly damage the persona of that individual.”

“Seth Rollins was made to look silly,” says Ross. “His best side was not on display there.”

“Seth is a magnificent athlete, we all can see that. And his match with Lesnar at WrestleMania can be a classic.”

“But you can’t make your babyfaces, your heroes, your protagonists, look dumb, and get them over to the top of the mountain,” Ross says.

Do you agree that Rollins was made to look foolish on Raw?

Dean Ambrose Saves Seth Rollins After Raw Goes Off Air (Video)

The main event of this week’s episode of Raw saw Seth Rollins taking on Drew McIntyre after McIntyre attacked both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose on last week’s episode of the show.

However, things didn’t go as Rollins may have planned and thanks to an interruption from Brock Lesnar, the Scottish Psychopath was able to defeat the Architect.

The segment didn’t end there as after Lesnar went backstage and the show went off air, Kurt Angle’s WrestleMania opponent Baron Corbin came out and tried to attack Seth.

Though he wasn’t successful as Dean Ambrose who wasn’t part of this week’s episode of Raw made the save and both the Shield members then hit their finishing maneuvers on the Lone Wolf.

The segment ended with the members of the Shield standing tall and you can check out a video of the whole thing WWE posted on YouTube below:

Seth Rollins is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at the upcoming WrestleMania PPV while Dean Ambrose doesn’t have an announced match for the show yet.

On the other hand, Kurt Angle announced on this week’s Raw that Baron Corbin will be his opponent for his farewell match at the upcoming PPV.

Seth Rollins: Brock Lesnar Is Notoriously Selfish, Only Cares About Money

Seth Rollins says Brock Lesnar is notoriously selfish and only cares about money.

Rollins challenges Lesnar for the Universal Championship in less than four weeks at WrestleMania. During a visit to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh this past Monday, he spoke with reporter Justin LaBar about his love for professional wrestling, which he believes is a sharp contrast to Brock Lesnar’s motives.

“I just have a lot of passion for it and a lot of love for the industry, and I feel like when people come in and disrespect our industry, it’s like a little bit of a slap in the face to me,” he said.

Rollins said people need to understand that being a top WWE Superstar is not something you can just ‘walk in and you’re great at it.’ It takes years of sacrifice and hard work to reach the top of sports entertainment. For all of his passion and commitment to WWE, Rollins says Lesnar is “notoriously in it for himself and in it for the money.”

“That’s never been my gig, I’ve never been in it for myself or the cash,” he said. “I’ve been in it for the love of the industry, and to inspire people to feel like I did when I was a young kid. It’ll be a very interesting clash of styles, in more ways than one.”

You can check out a clip of Seth Rollins’ comments about Brock Lesnar here:

Seth Rollins Issues Warning To Brock Lesnar

Seth Rollins has sent a warning to WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar before they meet next week on an episode of Monday Night RAW.

This is the latest development in building their program to a match that will take place at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

“The Architect” is slated to challenge The Beast” for the strap as one of the main events of the show. Rollins earned this title opportunity when he won this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match at the pay-per-view event this past January. At that same show, Lesnar successfully retained the Universal Title over Finn Balor.

Rollins took to his official Twitter account to send a warning to Lesnar. He wrote, “Lesnar on #RAW next week….Chicago, I hope you’re down to do the talking for me because I’m ready to do the fighting for all of us. Time to let ‘em know.”

Lesnar will return to the flagship show of the company alongside his advocate Paul Heyman in Chicago, IL at the Allstate Arena. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on any other segments or matches taking place on this show.

Seth Rollins Opens Coffee Shop, Kane Channels Dr. Seuss, Shawn Spears

Seth Rollins recently opened a coffee shop in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa. Brewing up craft coffee experiences, 392Dport is located right next to his Black & Brave wrestling academy.

On the latest edition of the WWE Now YouTube series, Rollins spoke about the new entrepreneurial venture. Rollins explains that he decided to open the cafe after developing an appreciation for coffee shops while traveling the world with WWE.

– Former WWE Superstar Tye Dillinger, now wrestling as Shawn Spears, has booked his first post-WWE independent match. Spears will wrestle for Create A Pro Wrestling on Friday, May 31st in Lynbrook, New York.

– Finally, this week is Read Across America week, a national campaign to promote literacy. Knox County, Tennessee Mayor Glenn Jacobs (Kane) visited Hopewell Elementary school on Friday morning, dressed up as Dr. Suess’ Cat in the Hat character and read “Oh the Places You Will Go” to dozens of students in honor of Dr. Seuss’ 115th birthday.

Mayor Jacobs hosted a birthday party for Dr. Seuss Friday afternoon at the Bearden Branch Library. You can see Kane dressed up as the Cat in the Hat below:

Seth Rollins In-Ring Status Forced RAW Changes This Week

It looks like 2019 Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins was the cause of a few changes to this week’s Monday Night RAW. Rollins was expected to get physical on RAW this week but was not cleared to compete, per Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer. As a result, some re-writes to the show were made.

Rollins was initially to be heavily featured on Monday night. Instead, he did an interview segment with Charly Caruso backstage. RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey had been penciled in for a squash match with Alexa Bliss. She instead headlined the program opposite Ruby Riott in a more long-form contest. Re-writes reportedly began around 1 or 2 P.M. local time when Vince McMahon arrived at the arena.

The actual script wasn’t complete until 30 minutes after RAW had already begun. Changes were still being made an hour and a half into the program.

Rollins’ Injury

Rollins has been dealing with back issues for some time now. The injury does not require surgery, only rest, and, likely, stems. “The Architect” is close to being cleared to return to action, but was unable to do so for this week’s show. He’s still scheduled for all RAW TVs until WrestleMania, but is not being advertised for house shows. Rollins hasn’t wrestled a match since facing Dean Ambrose on the post-Royal Rumble episode of RAW.

What do you think about Rollins not being cleared forcing changes to RAW?

WWE Star Talks Why He Thinks Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins Should Main Event WrestleMania

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJP has given his take on which match he thinks should headline WrestleMania 35. This event, which goes down on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium, is regarded as the biggest event of the year for the company.

As of this writing, only two matches have been announced for this show. Those matches are WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey defending against Charlotte Flair and WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar defending the title against Seth Rollins.

Since then, talk of which match should headline WrestleMania 35 continues by not only fans but stars as well. This includes the 205 Live star, who spoke about it during a recent appearance on the Wrassle Rap podcast.

This is where he pitched Rollins vs. Lesnar as the main event. It has nothing to do with Lynch or Rousey but rather, “I think they’re gonna have an amazing match. I said that I would want that because I really like every match that Brock is having, everything.”

This is where he brought star ratings for matches and how he doesn’t rate matches involving Lesnar because it comes down to how many fans want to see Lesnar lose. It’s a situation where you either love or hate him.

Seth Rollins Injury Update

Seth Rollins has been dealing with a back injury in recent times and due to it the Architect has been kept away from in-ring competition since his victory at the Royal Rumble PPV.

His status has kept fans worried with many wondering if the company could call his WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar off, if the former Champion is not cleared to wrestle at the show.

Though Dave Meltzer has now provided some more update on his situation and talking about him in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter. “His back has been hurting for some time. Leading into the Royal Rumble, he knew he needed to take time off after the show for it to heal.”

He continued, “[Rollins] could wrestle right now if needed, but it’s felt it’s better for him to rest and heal than to make it worse given his position at WrestleMania. The idea is they want him as close to 100 percent as possible for WrestleMania.”

Meltzer provided a similar update on Rollins’ condition on Wrestling Observer Radio, claiming he “could wrestle tomorrow” if needed by the company.

With this update, it’s clear that Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar is not in jeopardy and it’s only a matter of time before he is back into the ring.

Seth Rollins Takes Jab At Becky Lynch Over Social Media Usage

Former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins appeared to take a shot at former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The reason for the jab was due to Rollins’ comment about the adult language that Lynch uses through the power of social media as she continues to advance her character.

It all started once Lynch stated, “Complete and utter bulls–t” as a response to her storyline suspension.

For those who may have missed it, during Monday’s episode of RAW, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon announced that Lynch would be “suspended” for 60 days. Thus, Charlotte Flair will now take her role in one of the biggest female matches in the history of the company.

Originally, Lynch, who won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, was slated to challenge WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey for the strap at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

The belief is that this would’ve served as the headliner of the show, which also would’ve meant that they would make history. However, with Lynch being suspended for 60 days, Flair will now take on Rousey at the show.

There’s speculation after it’s been reported that it will turn into a Triple Threat Match with Lynch vs. Flair vs. Rousey. Back to Rollins, he took to his Instagram account where he took a jab at Lynch for using such language on social media:

Seth Rollins On His WrestleMania 31 Shocker, Facing Brock Lesnar At WM35

Seth Rollins booked his ticket to WrestleMania 35 after winning this year’s Royal Rumble matchup. This victory will see him go up against “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.

It’s not the first time, however, that Rollins will be sharing the WrestleMania stage with Lesnar. Back at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, Seth would cash in the Money In The Bank contract, inserting himself into the main event of Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar. This cash in would see him leaving California the new WWE Champion.

Speaking with Edge and Christian on their podcast, E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Seth Rollins reflected on that momentous cash in and discussed his upcoming match-up against Brock Lesnar in April.

He recalled that he won the Money In The Bank briefcase after turning heel against his then-stablemates in The Shield. WWE had no immediate plans for him using his opportunity, so he decided to come up with one himself: the WrestleMania 35 cash in.

“Why The Hell Not”

His mindset regarding the pitch was “why the hell not” justifying it by explaining that it had “never been done, and strangely, I had a little bit of foresight in the sense that I saw how the momentum with Roman [Reigns] was shifting toward going into that WrestleMania.”

Seth foresaw the WWE Universe turning against Roman, especially after he won that year’s Rumble. His prediction would quickly come true.

“[…] I remember the next day, again, having the conversation with Hunter for the second time because I had pitched the idea a little bit at the end of the year before, and I just wanted to remind him that I have this idea on the table. I think it’s a pretty good one and even if it’s not the idea, it could easily be a contingency plan if the main event at WrestleMania doesn’t come together how you see it. Just, keep it in the back of your head, ya know? Yeah, I pitched the idea and I strongly felt like it was a good one. I felt like I was the guy. Again, I went to him and said, ‘I want the ball.’”

“This Is The One I Want”

Looking to the future, Rollins admits he “can’t wait” for his scheduled clash against Lesnar at WrestleMania 35.

“This is the one that I wanted,” he stated. “And whether or not we’re the main event or Ronda [Rousey] and Becky [Lynch] is the main event, to me, this is the one I wanted. When I was fourteen years old and I said, ‘I’m going to main event WrestleMania,’ this is the one.”

Rollins continued, “I’m almost thirty-three, so to be able to have that, and to be able to go in to the next couple months to build to that moment, and to have the audience on my side, have them really just want me to take that title off of Lesnar, it’s really an exciting time and I’m looking forward to making some magic with him. He’s one of the people, love him or hate him, he’s one of the best performers in the WWE.”

Seth Rollins Looks Back On Turning Heel, Breaking Up The Shield

With Roman Reigns sadly battling leukemia and Dean Ambrose leaving WWE after WrestleMania 35, that leaves Seth Rollins as the only Shield member to be on WWE’s roster post-April.

Speaking with Edge and Christian on their popular podcast, E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, “The Architect” opened up on his time in the trio. A major point in The Shield’s history is the moment Seth Rollins would turn heel on his teammates, ruthlessly attacking them. His actions would split the group as Rollins aligned himself with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon within The Authority.

Rollins confessed that he wasn’t ready for the heel turn and eventual fallout of his character change. He recalled that when WWE informed him that he would be “pulling the trigger” as the heel within The Shield, he almost wanted to decline the turn.

“I was almost like, ‘No, I was a babyface in NXT. I’m the babyface; [Dean] Ambrose is the heel. It’s not the other way around. It doesn’t make any sense. I don’t know how to do this.’”

Turning heel had a learning curve for Rollins, who admitted it “took some learning” to adjust his characteristics to match his new persona. “I’d been a heel in Ring of Honor, but it’s just a different world here. It’s a different animal and you’re working with different guys.”

“[…] it took me a little while to get in my groove trying to figure out who is Seth Rollins? What is this character when he’s not in The Shield? It took me a little while to grow into who that person was, and figure him out, and try on different skins, and sometimes they didn’t work.”
