Seth Rollins Injury Update, Which Bella Twin Was Called The “Fat” Twin

This past Monday on Raw saw Seth Rollins take a nasty hit when he was thrown to the police van window. The hit itself left nasty gashes and scarring on his left arm.

While it was thought that the injury would take Rollins off of live events, it seems this is not the case as Rollins is still advertised for the Alabama and Texas live events for this weekend. It looks as though the Architect will power through the arm injury and continue working the WWE events.

You can read more on Rollins injury here.

The “Fat” Bella Twin

On a recent interview with Yahoo! Finance, Nikki Bella took the time to promote the Birdie Bee brand along with the Belle Radici wine label. Nikki mentioned in the conversation that she is always being compared to her sister, Brie, but was once called the “fat” twin.

“I’ve been compared my whole life. I’ve been the bigger twin,” Nikki said. “When I got on TV 10 years ago, immediately everyone called me ‘the fat twin.’ I had always looked at myself as someone who was just healthy and I loved who I was, but there was a period of time when it really got to me.”

Seth Rollins On Who Is Responsible For “Burn It Down” In His Theme

WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins recently did an interview with NOLA.com to discuss his professional wrestling career. “The Architect” was asked about the “Burn It Down” line being added to his entrance theme.

The line was added to Rollins’ theme during the dramatic pause in his music. At first, some fans didn’t like it and prefered the pause in the song. However, eventually, it grew on everyone as they love chanting it during Rolins’ entrance.

When asked who was responsible for adding the line into the song, Rollins revealed that it was a Vince McMahon decision. McMahon didn’t like the long pause in the music and wanted to add something in to fill the void. Rollins listened to a few options and eventually decided on “Burn It Down”:

“Honestly, I don’t exactly know. I feel like it was partially a take on the commercial for the video game last year where I’m sort of an arsonist when it comes to burning down the artifacts of the past.

“Having words in the entrance was totally Vince’s idea. There was nothing in that space, a weird dead space to Vince. He thought it was a good idea to fill it with something.

“We went through a couple of options, and that one fit the best. I chose it, and the next thing you know, it’s a huge part of my character.

“Thanks to Vince for having 50 years of pro wrestling knowledge in his back pocket. It’s a fun interactive thing for the audience. That many people screaming Burn it Down at WrestleMania was insanity.”

Seth Rollins Believes IC Title Win At WrestleMania 34 Reignited His Career

Seth Rollins recently spoke with Nola.com to promote next week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in New Orleans, LA at the Smoothie King Center.

In this interview, he reflected on winning the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 34 earlier this year where he beat The Miz and Finn Balor in a triple threat match.

“It really reignited my career,” said Rollins. “It was an experience for me to for the first time really get to soak in what a WrestleMania feels like. It was cool.”

The Shield Reunion

Just last month, WWE decided to reunite The Shield (Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose). When asked about the reunion and what fans can expect this coming Monday night, he stated that The Shield always has something up its sleeve. He added that he thinks The Shield is the greatest faction of all-time or at least one of them.

Intercontinental Title History

Being the Intercontinental Champion comes with historic expectations due to the lineage of the title and those who have held it. He points out that the title has always been known as the workhorse title and that the grittier guys carry that thing.

“Look at guys like Edge and Chris Jericho and Mr. Perfect, Macho Man Randy Savage. These guys were quintessential IC champions. To be a part of that is cool. And not only to be a part of it, but when it’s all said and done, people (might) remember my IC championship reign fondly. And hopefully, I’ll be in the company of those gentlemen when the next guy comes along and is asked the same question.”

Corey Graves Reveals How The Shield Got Out Of Jail On RAW

On Monday’s RAW, tensions between The Shield and Braun Strowman’s new faction continued to grow. Strowman has now aligned himself with RAW Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. He has now evened the odds against Roman Reigns and The Shield. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose came to Reigns’ aid when Strowman attempted to cash-in his Money In The Bank (MITB) briefcase.

Now, Strowman will get his one-on-one shot at Reigns’ Universal Title inside Hell In A Cell. As we build to that, however, The Shield continue to feud with Strowman, Ziggler and McIntyre. This week the two factions collided to open up RAW.

Acting General Manager Baron Corbin ushered out the entire locker room to separate the six men. They continued to fight into the backstage area, but eventually The Shield were arrested and taken away for most of the show.

Towards the end of the night, Michael Cole announced that The Shield had been released from jail. They returned in a cop car and made their way to the ring to meet Strowman, McIntyre and Ziggler.

Before that could happen, however, all the heels in the locker room came out to ambush The Shield. The show went off-air as Rollins, Reigns and Ambrose laid lifeless on the floor.

The Explanation

Several days removed from RAW, we finally have an explanation as to how The Shield got out of jail. Corey Graves took to Twitter and suggested that WWE’s David Otunga phoned in a friend in the legal community to get The Shield released.

Here’s Graves’ Tweet:

Seth Rollins Suffers Potential Arm Injury On WWE RAW

There is some concern from fans about WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Columbus, OH at the Schottenstein Center on the USA Network, the final segment saw The Shield make their way back to the arena in a police van after being arrested earlier the show after getting into a brawl with Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew McIntyre in the opening segment. This led to the majority of the roster coming out to break up the brawl.

Once they returned, WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Rollins, and Dean Ambrose were ready to brawl with the heels once again but the heel roster came out to aid Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre then beat them down.

During the attack, there were some superstars who sent Rollins flying off the stage into the side of the police van where he smashed into a side window and broke it.

This led to it appearing that Rollins had a good sized cut on his arm from the collision. Although the injury is not likely serious, he probably needed some stitches to close the wound.

The Shield is slated to take on Strowman, Ziggler, and McIntyre at the WWE Super Show-Down on October 6 in Melbourne, Australia. Although it has yet to be confirmed, it appears that Ambrose and Rollins taking on Ziggler and McIntyre in a tag team match is the direction for the upcoming Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event.

WWE has already confirmed that Reigns will defend the Universal Title against Strowman at this show.

Seth Rollins Hypes The Shield Reunion, John Cena Shares Inspirational Message

Seth Rollins Hypes The Shield Reunion

WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins is gearing up for tonight’s (August 27, 2018) episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in Toronto, Canada at the Scotiabank Arena on the USA Network that will feature the fallout from the reunion of The Shield (Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns) as well as their attack on Braun Strowman.

Rollins took to his official Instagram account where he hyped the show and the follow-up to that angle. He wrote the following:

John Cena Shares Inspirational Message

John Cena, who has been recently promoting WWE’s Super Show Down event on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, Australia, decided to take to his official Twitter account to share an inspiring message with fans by writing the following:

Cena is set to make his return to in-ring competition for the WWE as he is slated to work the upcoming live event in Shanghai, China at the Mercedes Benz Arena on Saturday, Sept. 1 where he’ll team with Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley to face Baron Corbin, Elias, and Jinder Mahal. He has not been seen in a WWE ring since wrestling Triple H at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April.

Seth Rollins Reveals When He Found Out About His WrestleMania 31 Cash-In

Seth Rollins cashing in his Money In The Bank contract at WrestleMania 31 is one of the most iconic moments in the history of not only the Show of Shows but all of WWE as well.

However, during a recent interview with News.com.au, the current Intercontinental Champion revealed that his cash in was finalised in the last minute.

According to Rollins, he didn’t know for sure that he would be a part of the main event until the show had begun and he was told about it when we were already halfway through the event:

“I didn’t know for sure until the middle of the show (it was happening), I had a match with Randy Orton early in the day and then I was sequestered backstage and informed that would be the plan at the end of the night. It honestly was a very last-minute thing.”

Continuing on the topic, Seth Rollins revealed that the show had almost exceeded its runtime and moments before he came out, he had started thinking that the plans might change once again.

Roman Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble event and as a result, earned the right to challenge the then WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.

However, midway into their match, Seth cashed in his Money In The Bank contract and inserted himself into the bout. He went on to pin Reigns and win the World title.

More On The Shield’s Return On RAW

The Shield’s return on RAW last night really took a lot of WWE fans by surprise.

Roman Reigns was defending his Universal Championship against Finn Balor in the night’s main event. In the middle of the match, Braun Strowman hit the ring with his Money In The Bank (MITB) briefcase. He intended to cash-in on the match’s winner.

Reigns was able to pick up the win on a distracted Balor, after hitting him with a Spear. Strowman then got into the ring and downed Reigns with a big boot to the chest. Just before the referee could ring the bell to begin the match, The Shield’s music hit.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, dressed in their old Shield gear, came out to Reigns’ aid. The trio attacked Strowman and hit him with a Triple Powerbomb through the announce table. For the time being, it looks like The Shield is back together.

Reigns took to Twitter shortly after the show to comment on The Shield’s reunion:

Another interesting note, The Shield’s old Twitter account has resurfaced again. It had been two years since their last Tweet – until today. The account retweeted and commented on WWE’s photo of the trio’s reunion last night:

Discussion: What do you think about The Shield’s return on RAW last night? What do you make of their Twitter account resurfacing? And how long do you see the reunion lasting? Sound off in the comments below!

Seth Rollins Defeats Dolph Ziggler to Become Intercontinental Champion at SummerSlam

Seth Rollins brought an equalizer to the ring with him on Sunday night and he’s now a two-time Intercontinental champion after defeating Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.

Monday night saw the return of Dean Ambrose after being out of action for the past nine months due to an injured right arm but he was ringside with Rollins to help negate Drew McIntyre.

The plan worked well as Ambrose got involved towards the final few seconds of the match, delivering Dirty Deeds to McIntyre to keep him from interfering in the finish.

As for Rollins, he delivered another incredible match with Ziggler as these two hit several incredible spots as the kickoff bout for the main card at SummerSlam.

The end came after Ambrose took out McIntyre and it looked like Ziggler would still take advantage of the distraction with a super kick warmed up for Rollins.

Rollins reversed the moves as he turned around and immediately launched a super kick that clocked Zigger before nailing him with the Stomp to get the pin.

Rollins is now a two-time Intercontinental champion while putting an end to Ziggler’s latest reign. Considering the heat between these two superstars — now with Ambrose also back in the mix — it’s hard to believe we won’t see Rollins face Ziggler again in the near future.

What were your thoughts on Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler at Summerslam?

Paul Heyman: Seth Rollins Is WWE’s Next ‘Breakout Rebel’ (Video)

Paul Heyman surprised the audience of Cheap Heat Live last night in New York’s Sony Hall theatre. The advocate for Brock Lesnar took time out of a busy Summerslam weekend to speak on topics ranging from WWE’s current product to naming a modern-day version of the Dangerous Alliance.

Perhaps the most notable question Heyman answered, however, was in regards to who he feels is the next big rebel in WWE today. The audience member cited guys like Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and CM Punk as rebels who launched WWE into very successful runs for the company.

Paul Heyman knows a thing or two about rebels, counter-culture and the X-factors that lead a talent to break away from the pack. Heyman said, “Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins because he continuously comes up with moves that are politically incorrect and they have to tell him to stop doing them but they become so popular that they end up saying to him ‘alright go ahead, we’ll deal with it, go do it.'”

Heyman continued to describe Rollins’ rebellious contributions to WWE. “It’s because he’s innovative and he rebels against the system that tries to be politically correct and he continues to be politically incorrect and when he came up with the saying of ‘Burn it Down,’ he was being honest about what he thought would be the constraints of what was being put on him, that he’s going to break through that and do things his way and innovate a style that you can only see in a Seth Rollins match.”

Paul Heyman on Working For Vince McMahon

David Shoemaker then asked Heyman how he feels about working for Vince McMahon. Heyman didn’t address the answer directly but rather corrected Shoemaker regarding who he works for.

“I really don’t consider myself in the Vince McMahon business, I don’t consider myself in the WWE business,” Heyman said. “I pretty much now have found a place in life where I am in the Brock Lesnar business.”

Paul Heyman’s New Dangerous Alliance

Heyman was also asked about the lack of factions in wrestling today. He was asked to put together a Dangerous Alliance 2.0. Heyman responded that there is already a modern version of the stable, however.

“Would you like me to tell you who’s in it?” Heyman asked. “Two members: 1) Brock Lesnar 2) Paul Heyman. That is as dangerous an alliance as you’re ever going to get in WWE.”

Heyman on running a wrestling promotion & more

The first question of the evening centered around the WWE Universal Champion’s torso tattoo. Heyman took a bit of time to berate the question and the person asking it before he gave his answer though.

“Obviously (he’s) trying to insinuate that the tattoo looks like a penis,” Heyman said. “Because, of course, that’s what would attract *points out question-asker* a p***y.”

Heyman was asked about what it’s like to run a wrestling promotion. He responded with a quote he heard from UFC President, Dana White.

“I think actually the person who said it best was Dana White,” Heyman said. “That when he wakes in the morning and his feet hit the ground he knows he’s already 100-miles deep in s**t to deal with.”

Someone in the audience asked Heyman about a member of New Day going solo and winning a single’s title. Heyman used the Shield as an analogy.

“Why would you break up that group?” Heyman asked. “Why would you take a group like that and split them up? It would be like splitting up the Shie… nevermind on that.”

After some murmuring from the crowd, Heyman continued, however. “Hey, when Roman Reigns was in the Shield you guys thought he was the coolest..” the crowd disagreed with this. “Yes, you did! Yes, you did!”

Heyman continued to say New Day were the most entertaining team aside from the Usos, which got some cheers. If he was a member of New Day and collecting their merchandise cheques, Heyman said, they’d have to sue him to break that group up.

As time ran out during the live show, the Hall of Pain music hit and Mark Henry entered the stage. This spelled the end for Paul Heyman’s eventful surprise appearance in the Sony Hall Theatre.

Seth Rollins Comments On Brock Lesnar’s Current WWE Deal

Brock Lesnar has one of the best contracts in the history of professional wrestling.

Lesnar is currently the WWE Universal Champion on Monday Night RAW. He is likely the highest-paid Superstar on the roster and is only required to show up a handful of times a year. One of those appearances will happen this weekend. Lesnar will defend his Universal Title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam on Sunday.

It’s expected to be one of Lesnar’s final appearances on WWE TV for quite some time. “The Beast” will return to the UFC for a fight with Daniel Cormier early next year. Because of this, everyone expects Lesnar to lose the Universal Title in Brooklyn.

There have been plenty of those within the industry who express displeasure for Lesnar’s part-time status. Also, there are some who credit Lesnar for being able to obtain such a great deal.

Rollins On Lesnar’s WWE Deal

Intercontinental Title challenger Seth Rollins is part of the latter. “The Architect” spoke to Sports Illustrated to promote his title match with Dolph Ziggler this weekend at SummerSlam:

“I think it’s more of the latter. From my perspective, I’m not mad at Brock Lesnar for getting a great deal. The guy got a fantastic deal. In a way, it’s a challenge, it’s inspiring. Part of being inspiring is the frustration that, “I don’t have Brock Lesnar’s deal.

“I’m not the Universal Champion for 600-and-some-odd days with 12 defenses or whatever it is. You can call it jealously, you can call it envy, but at the end of the day, as long as you don’t get ugly with it, it’s just motivation to work harder.

“Lesnar’s gonna do what Lesnar’s gonna do, whether he stays or goes. I think the cool part of SummerSlam is that animosity toward him has reached a boiling point. So I think coming into SummerSlam, you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“That’s what’s interesting to me. That’s the fun part of wrestling. The worst part of wrestling is when it’s super predictable. The best part is when it’s “Honestly, I don’t know.””

Seth Rollins Believes WWE Doesn’t Need The Rock Headlining WrestleMania Again

Seth Rollins has given his take on a potential match between Roman Reigns and The Rock, which has been rumored for WrestleMania 35 that takes place on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

The former WWE Champion recently spoke SI.com to promote the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event where he is slated to challenge Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title.

Rollins noted that he would rather it be Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins instead of The Rock wrestling at the show. He is also okay with potentially wrestling The Rock because he thinks he’s great and loves everything he’s done for this business.

“But my gut, my first instinct, says we don’t need him. We don’t need him. If we’re not the guys who can main event WrestleMania, then how are we ever gonna be The Rock? How are we gonna be Stone Cold Steve Austin? We can’t hold onto these guys forever. We just can’t. To me, let’s do Seth Rollins-Roman Reigns before we do Seth Rollins-The Rock. That’s me.”

Rollins also discussed if it’s good for business to bring in that Rock audience. This is when he stated that he understands why WWE brings The Rock back as there’s nothing wrong with growing, getting bigger and putting more eyes on your product. He added that at some point, WWE needs to move on from that.

Seth Rollins Calls Dean Ambrose’s Injury “A Blessing In Disguise For My Singles Career.”

Since Dean Ambrose has been sidelined with an injury, Seth Rollins has seriously flourished in WWE.

Ambrose has been out-of-action since late last year with a tricep injury. In his absence, Seth Rollins has been taking on a big role on Monday Night RAW. Rollins has been used frequently in the Intercontinental Title picture.

“The Architect” had an amazing year with WWE. He won the RAW Tag Team Titles with Jason Jordan. Next he won the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 34 in a Fatal Four Way match. Rollins had one of the most impressive performances of the year in a Gauntlet match on RAW earlier this year as well.

Not to mention consistently putting on great matches whenever he takes to the squared circle. Rollins recently spoke to The South China Morning News during WWE’s visit to Shanghai.

In regards to Ambrose’s injury, Rollins calls it “a blessing in disguise for my singles career”:

“Not that I would wish injury on Ambrose at all, but that was something that lit a fire underneath me. It’s definitely been a blessing in disguise for my singles career.”

A Great Year With WWE

Rollins is a candidate for Superstar Of The Year thus far, but admits that SmackDown Live’s WWE Champion AJ Styles isn’t too far behind him:

“Yeah, it’s been a really good year for me. Honestly, you look at my body of work from SummerSlam last year to SummerSlam this year – I really don’t think there’s anybody on the main roster, aside from an AJ Styles give or take, that can compare with what I’ve done.

“From winning the tag team titles, to winning the Intercontinental title at Mania, to the gauntlet match performance on Raw, to some of the matches I’ve been a part of the last six months, nobody can hold a candle to what I’ve done in the ring. I definitely feel I’m back on top for sure.”

Seth Rollins On Extreme Rules Crowd Counting Down During Ironman Match

While Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler were putting on a pretty solid 30-minute Ironman match at WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view (PPV) earlier this month, the talk on social media was all about the crowd in attendance’s actions.

Throughout the match the crowd kept counting down as the clock on the big screen continued to tick down from 30 minutes. The incident threw both Rollins and Ziggler off a bit. Eventually someone in the production truck took the clock off the screen, but that just drove the crowd even more nuts, and the counting became more frequent.

Seth Rollins was the latest guest on former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory, and discussed the topic. “The Architect” seemed a bit irked by the crowd’s game, and admitted it really messed with Dolph Ziggler during the bout:

“Sometimes I don’t understand the concept of coming to a show and doing anything other than watch the show. I can’t imagine it,” Rollins said. “It is what it is. They know it’s a thirty minute match; they’re just going to get it out of their system.

“And then, somebody actually took the clock off the tron. And that was bad. It was like you were taking a toy away from a petulant child, and they’re just going to be a jerk to you about it. I know it really messed with Dolph [Ziggler].

“Like, he was super out of sync from how he normally is. I just let them do their thing. I knew we had thirty minutes, and by the end of it they’d be invested in what we were doing — and I think they were.”

Rollins also stated his interest in challenging Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam next month.

Seth Rollins Reveals Who He Wants To Face At SummerSlam

SummerSlam is less than one month away and Raw Superstar Seth Rollins has an idea about who he wants to face at WWE’s next pay-per-view offering.

Rollins was the latest guest on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast and teased that he’s looking to dethrone Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler.

“The Intercontinental Championship kinda means a lot to me here right now,” Rollins said.  “I’d like to take another crack at it with Dolph, but we’ll see what happens. SummerSlam is coming up and he doesn’t have an opponent yet. I lost my shot at the Universal t. I’d be down to give Dolph another run for his money, that’s for sure.”

Dolph Ziggler’s 6th reign as Intercontinental champion began when he defeated Seth Rollins on the June 18th edition of WWE Raw from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

WWE SummerSlam takes place on Sunday, August 19th from Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center. The main event of SummerSlam will be determined tonight on Raw when Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley square of in a #1 contender’s match to determine who will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

What Happened After Extreme Rules, The Miz On Hulk Hogan’s Return

The Miz On Hulk Hogan’s Return

Hulk Hogan being reinstated into the WWE Hall Of Fame is probably the biggest news coming out of the wrestling world in the past few weeks or so.

However the Miz, who was taking part in the MLB celebrity softball game in Washington, DC was not aware of it, until Aaron Oster of the PressSlam podcast spoke to him.

After getting the news, The former Intercontinental Champion revealed that he was a fan of Hogan while growing up and his comments were posted by Aaron from his twitter account:

What Happened After Extreme Rules

For the surprise of many fans, The 30 Minute Iron Man Match between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler ended up being the main event of Extreme Rules instead of the Roman Reigns vs Bobby Lashley bout.

The match where the Intercontinental Championship was on the line ended in a 4-4 Draw. After this, the Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced sudden death overtime and Ziggler ended up retaining the title with help from Drew McIntyre.

After the show, the former Champion Rollins received a standing ovation from the crowd and people chanted ‘Thank You Rollins’ once the PPV went off air.

Seth Rollins Reacts To Fan Chants At Extreme Rules

Seth Rollins had quite the response to the interesting chants during his latest match on a WWE pay-per-view.

As seen at Sunday’s (July 15, 2018) WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena on the WWE Network, the company decided to put the 30-minute Iron Man Match between Rollins and United States Champion Dolph Ziggler in the main event of a show that nearly went four hours.

Ziggler retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship despite the fact that Rollins was ahead of Ziggler three falls to zero at one point during their match. In the match, fans in Pittsburgh counted down from ten seconds each time another minute would wind down on the clock that was put up on the big screen for fans to see the match.

Not only did Rollins notice this trend but fans watching this pay-per-view from home as they were tweeting about it as they thought that the Pittsburgh fans were rude and apologizing for the crowd’s behavior.

This led to Rollins commenting on the situation by writing the following on his official Twitter account, which WWE has since retweeted:

Seth Rollins Reflects On How WWE Stars Reacted To Bret Hart Calling Him Unsafe In The Ring

Seth Rollins has reflected on how the harsh words from WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart went over in the WWE locker room.

During a recent interview with GiveMeSports, the former WWE Universal Champion spoke about his relationship with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon as well as the backstage reaction to the comments made by Hart back in 2016 when he called Rollins unsafe in the ring.

This came after Finn Balor suffered a shoulder injury in their match at SummerSlam to crown the inaugural Universal Champion after taking a bucklebomb to the barricade as well as his match with Sting at the 2015 Night of Champions pay-per-view event.

Rollins noted that he wasn’t sure if McMahon knew about Hart’s comments about him but did note that the talent in the WWE locker room was confused about what Hart was talking about and why he would say something like that.

“So yeah, it was here and there but most people really didn’t take it too seriously because it was so off the wall. So yeah people just make jokes about it for the most part.”

Rollins is slated to challenge current WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler for the title in a 30-minute Iron Man match at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena and will air on the WWE Network.

Kenny Omega has his eyes on a pair of top WWE talents should he execute a potential move to the professional wrestling juggernaut.

“The Cleaner” recently joined WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross’ podcast, The Ross Report, and was asked about the possibility of signing with WWE. He also touched on potential matches that await him in the promotion. Omega named two potential opponents specifically that fans would love to see him share the ring with – Seth Rollins and AJ Styles:

“When I think about the possibilities and stuff like that it does get me excited,” Omega said. “Every promotion has so many good guys – there’s no way that I would have a bad time going almost anywhere because the depths to the talent is so deep. WWE right now has a very great collection of talent.

“I would feel like it was a missed opportunity if I couldn’t work with them at some point. If I could work with Seth Rollins at some point in time that would be a lot of fun. And of course, the huge name amongst all that, is AJ (Styles). I would love to work with AJ at some point. And I would like to be able to do it while I can still move, you know what I mean?”

Seth Rollins Thinks Another Shield Reunion Will Happen

Seth Rollins is still holding out hope for another reunion with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose as members of The Shield.

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke with App.com to promote his appearance at iPlay America in Freehold on July 7. In this interview, he was asked about another potential Shield reunion after the latest comeback didn’t last long as a result of Ambrose getting injured.

Rollins noted that it started off great as he and Ambrose won the RAW Tag Team Titles. Once they brought in Reigns, it was a lot of fun and exciting.

“And then, you know, the mumps happened, and there’s nothing you can really do about that, so that threw a real wrench into the plans. And Ambrose got hurt, so what can you do? That’s part of the business, that’s part of the game.”

Rollins is excited about the idea of a potential reunion down the road because he thinks it leaves them a lot of room for future Shield reunions and different ideas involving the three stars. He thinks it would be great to have another opportunity to do that at some point in the future.

“You know, we haven’t done it and thrown it away and wasted it. But yeah man, it’s just (that) stuff happens, you can’t predict those variables of people getting sick or injured.”

Ambrose has been out of action since late 2017 when he underwent surgery to repair a high-grade triceps tendon. The surgery took place in December, but the arm injury reportedly took place at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view event back on October 22nd.

When asked about Ambrose’s recovery, Rollins responded by stating “Dean’s good, man, he’s on the mend. He’s on his way back. Hopefully sometime before the end of the year we’ll see Dean Ambrose on WWE television again.”
