Seth Rollins Explains His Beef With CM Punk

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins recently decided to spill the tea on his growing frustration with CM Punk.

CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames PLE and it sent shockwaves through the industry. The pro wrestling fraternity was left stunned and saw some wonderful reactions to his comeback as many had ruled out his return to the company.

Fans were ecstatic to witness ‘The Best In The World’ return to Chicago except for Seth Rollins. ‘The Visionary’ was livid to see Punk and in a fan-recorded footage, Rollins was even spotted flipping off Punk and had to be held back

Soon, the fans speculated the reason behind Seth’s outrage towards ‘The Second City Savior.’

Speaking with Sports Illustrated Media, Seth Rollins explained the reason behind his reaction at the show.

‘The Visionary’ claimed that Punk badmouthed him for years and made some harsh remarks that did not sit well with Rollins. He further said that he felt insulted by the way Punk treated him. Here is what he said:

“He (CM Punk) said some really bad things about me. Talked down about me for years, and the company (WWE), for years. I’m talking some really bad stuff. Called me a bootlicker and crap like that.
You don’t know me. You don’t know what I stand for. I’m a loyal person, and I felt pretty insulted by a lot of the ways he treated me, treated the place I work for, treated friends that I worked with.
I don’t need to get into any of the stuff with Colt Cabana if you want to look at that kind of stuff, that’s out there”

This week, Punk will appear on the Tribute to the Troops edition of WWE Smackdown. He will then appear on next week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw and will receive a contract from Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce. This will put an end to his current free-agent status and officially join the red brand.

It will interesting to see the development of the feud between Rollins and Punk.

As it stands, it’s just the beginning of their feud. If recent reports are to be believed, Punk could be in line for a feud with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as well.

Edge Names Former WWE Universal Champion the “Rated-R Superstar of Now”

Edge may have established himself as the ‘Rated-R Superstar’ but he now believes that a current WWE Superstar is deserving of the moniker.

In late 2005, Edge debuted his nickname as the Rated-R Superstar, and alongside Lita would perform more and more headline-grabbing actions on TV.

Perhaps the most infamous came in January 2006, when Edge and Lita had a ‘live-sex celebration’ that was interrupted by both Ric Flair and John Cena

The Rated-R Superstar of Now

In 2021, Edge, just over a year after his return from retirement, began a feud with Seth Rollins, with the two men trading victories.

That feud saw Edge win at that year’s Summerslam, while Rollins would get his win back during an episode of SmackDown.

In the rubber match, Edge would return to Hell in a Cell, besting Rollins inside the barbaric structure at Crown Jewel 2021.

Speaking on the latest episode of the After The Bell podcast, Edge heaped praise on Rollins, calling him worthy of the Rated R moniker.

we’re so damn similar. We look at things in a very similar way. You know, he’s carved his own path.

To me if I look at it, and if I make the comparisons to rosters of yesteryear, like he is the Rated-R Superstar of now, he is firmly his own thing.”

Edge.

Continuing the Feud

Edge and Seth Rollins haven’t faced off in years but that doesn’t mean that a fourth match between the pair could not happen.

On the show, Edge explained that he remains open to a match against the former Universal Champion.

Seth Rollins is a guy that we’ll never fully be through with each other.

“I just you know, to be honest anytime I can get in there with him I know what it feels like we both know what feels like the minute we touched I was like ‘Ooh okay, all right, we got something here. So hell yeah, I mean I do that in a heartbeat,’ you know, we had a trilogy that doesn’t mean can’t be more.”

Edge.

If Edge is planning a rematch, then the window of time is running out, as the Hall of Famer teased last year that he will be retiring the next time WWE comes to Canada in 2023.

Jon Moxley Pays Tribute to Seth Rollins at AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View

Jon Moxley may have become the heart and soul of All Elite Wrestling, but the former World Champion has not forgotten about those he worked with in WWE.

Moxley arrived in AEW mere weeks after his departure from WWE and would become the second World Championship of the promotion.

The former Dean Ambrose now holds the records for the most AEW World Championship reigns (three, or four if you include his interim reign) and most days as AEW World Champion.

Revolution Tribute

Long before he was taking it to the likes of MJF, Kenny Omega, and the Young Bucks, Moxley was a staple of WWE, being introduced to the main roster as part of the Shield in 2012.

During last night’s Revolution Pay-Per-View, Moxley once again showed his violent side in his Texas Death Match against fellow former World Champion ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.

In one spot, Moxley had Page’s head prone on some bricks, and in what fans online have called a nod to Seth Rollins, hit a stomp on the Cowboy.

Despite this brutal move, it would be Page who would win the match, getting the submission victory over Moxley after 24 minutes.

Seth on Moxley

Moxley and Rollins haven’t shared a ring in many years, but the Architect has continued to keep a close eye on his friend and former rival.

Speaking in an interview with Ariel Helwani last year, Rollins praised Moxley’s work in AEW, and said there have been no issues between them in the years since Jon left WWE.

“Never any animosity. He’s great, he’s at the top of his game doing his thing over in AEW. So nothing but the best.”

Seth Rollins.

Rollins is expected to face Logan Paul at WWE WrestleMania next month.

“The Business Is Dead” – Seth Rollins On Logan Paul

Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins has weighed in on controversial YouTuber-turned-wrestler Logan Paul once again.

Rumors continue to swirl of a Paul vs. Rollins bout at WrestleMania. Back at the Royal Rumble, ‘The Maverick’ sent ‘The Architect’ packing from the match. During a later interview with Pat McAfee, Rollins proceeded to trash Paul.

Collage Maker 03 Feb 2023 05.05 PM

To top it all off, Logan Paul cost Rollins last month’s US Champion Elimination Chamber bout. The feud has continued to bubble away on RAW, as ‘The Monday Night Messiah’ has butted heads with The Miz over his connection to ‘The Maverick’ from last year.

Rollins’ disdain for the PRIME Hydration co-founder is only growing, as evidenced by his recent appearance on After the Bell.

Seth Rollins Questions The “Long-Term Value” Of Logan Paul

When asked about Logan Paul, Rollins was immensely critical of vlogging as a whole. Questioning what entertainers such as Paul actually bring to the table, Rollins expressed concern with its potential impact on professional wrestling.

“This idea that you can just, poof, pop on your camera, film yourself, do some crap on social media, and become a star and have some worth in the world is for me, maybe I’m a crotchety old man, but I don’t understand what value you’re giving back to the world. And the Logan Paul situation, I don’t understand what long-term value he’s gonna be able to give back to us.”

Seth Rollins

‘The Visionary’, who owns a wrestling school, opined that Paul’s unconventional entry into pro wrestling could set a bad precedent. He explained that he’d much rather his students enter the business in a more traditional, ring-focused way, steadily working their way up the card.

“That [having a contract] doesn’t make you an ambassador for the business. That’s not what wrestling is. And I don’t want my students, I own a wrestling school, I don’t want the next generation of kids coming up in the business thinking that’s how you make it in professional wrestling because if everybody follows that model, the business is dead.”

Seth Rollins

While it’s likely much of this was in kayfabe given their angle on TV, Rollins’ words are scathing nonetheless.

Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins Channel Batman & The Joker for WWE WrestleMania 39 Trailer

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have shown off their acting chops for the first movie parody trailer to promote WrestleMania 39.

This year’s two-night event will take place in Los Angeles, which previously hosted WrestleMania in 2005 and 1991, and was one of three host cities in 1986.

For WrestleMania 21 in 2005, the show’s tagline ‘WrestleMania Goes Hollywood’ resulted in the stars of the time parodying films including Braveheart, Taxi Driver, and Forrest Gump.

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins

With WWE returning to Hollywood, this year’s WrestleMania has leaned heavily into the glitz and glamor of the silver screen.

During last night’s WWE Elimination Chamber event, a parody of Joker (2019) was aired, featuring Seth Rollins in the titular role.

Recreating one of the most iconic scenes in the film, Rollins could be seen dancing down steps to a remix of his WWE entrance theme.

Unfortunately for Seth, his dance is cut short by Lynch, doing her best impression of the gravelly voice used by Christian Bale for the Dark Knight trilogy by director Christopher Nolan.

Lynch confirmed that she is parodying Batman by speaking about going to her ‘Man-Cave.’

WrestleMania Plans

As two of WWE’s biggest stars in years, it should come as no surprise that Rollins and Lynch are expected to compete at WrestleMania 39.

For Rollins, it has been reported that he will face Logan Paul this April, who eliminated Seth from last month’s Men’s Rumble match and helped eliminate the Architect during last night’s Men’s Elimination Chamber match.

As for Lynch, her WrestleMania future is far less certain, though her current feud with Damage CTRL has led to rumors of a six-woman tag in which Lynch would team with Lita and Trish Stratus.

Watch What Happened With Seth Rollins After Raw Went Off Air

Seth Rollins was a busy man during tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw. He took part in a talk show segment during the show, competed in a dark match afterwards and also cut a promo later on.

The former Universal Champion first appeared on The Miz TV during the broadcast. He opened up about his hatred for Logan Paul during the segment.

Rollins tried to attack The Miz towards the end of the segment but Austin Theory interfered. The Visionary did manage to deliver a Curb Stomp to the A-Lister but Theory then took him out.

What Happened After Raw

The Architect returned to the ring later in the night after the cameras stopped rolling. He first shared a moment with Becky Lynch who competed in the main event of Raw.

Seth Rollins then wrestled in a street fight with Theory. Rollins won this bout after he put the US champion through a table and then delivered a Curb Stomp for the pin.

After the match, Seth addressed the Brooklyn crowd. The former champion thanked the fans and led them to sing a tune to end the night:

Seth Rollins and Austin Theory will meet again this Saturday at the Elimination Chamber PPV. Theory will be defending his US Championship against Rollins and four other competitors inside the steel structure.

Seth Rollins ‘Slighted’ He’s Not Involved In WrestleMania Main Event

Seth Rollins feels “slighted” that he’s not involved in the WrestleMania 39 main event this year.

This year’s Royal Rumble match was won by none other than Cody Rhodes. Meaning, Rhodes will go on to headline this year’s “Show Of Shows” against Roman Reigns, challenging for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

One of the last men eliminated from the Royal Rumble match, just missing out on punching their own ticket to WrestleMania, was Seth Rollins. Rollins was eliminated by Logan Paul from the match, setting up a likely feud between the pair moving forward.

With that being said, Rollins recently did an interview with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling‘s Stew Myrick at Super Bowl LVIII. During the interview, Rollins was asked about missing out on the main event this year.

While Rollins admits he wants that spot very badly, he also understands why two superstars as hot as Reigns and Rhodes at the moment have been given the nod. He even acknowledged that someone like Sami Zayn might even be a candidate that should’ve gotten the opportunity as well.

“I want that match, I want that spot. I want that title and I do not have it. There’s a lot of salt in the wound of having to talk about it. It’s difficult for me to analyze. I will say you’re looking at a rock and a hard place.

“You’ve got Roman Reigns, who is on an incredible run, but you’ve got Cody Rhodes, who is riding a lot of momentum. When those two guys meet, if that is the match — it could be Sami Zayn in that spot, we’ll see after Elimination Chamber — it’s going to be a generational main event at WrestleMania.”

Seth Rollins RAW sk

Rollins added that it’s hard to feel anything other than “slighted” by being left out of the main event, but will support his fellow WWE Superstars regardless, and suggests the bout will still be one to remember.

“Again, it’s hard for me to feel anything but slighted by it, so that is what it is. But, I will take a page out of [fellow guest Renee Manfredi’s] book and I will support my family, my brothers regardless of the outcome.

“It’s not about winning and losing, it’s how you play the game. It’s going to be an incredible main event at WrestleMania no matter what it is.”

Despite not being involved in the WrestleMania main event this year, Rollins is still undoubtedly one of WWE’s biggest stars. He could very well head into WrestleMania with some gold around his waist.

Rollins is scheduled to challenge for the WWE United States Title inside the Elimination Chamber on February 18 against defending champion Austin Theory, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Damian Priest, and Montez Ford.

Seth Rollins: It Pains Me To Have To Say Negative Things About CM Punk

Seth Rollins has doubled down on his recent comments about All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star and ex-WWE Champion CM Punk.

Prior to the Royal Rumble, Rollins was asked in an interview about his thoughts on Punk potentially returning to WWE. Rollins was completely against the idea, calling Punk a “cancer” and telling him to stay away.

He also went as far as saying he flat out doesn’t like Punk, calling him a “jerk.” Recently, Rollins was a guest on Covino & Rich to discuss several professional wrestling topics. During the conversation, Rollins was asked about his comments on Punk.

Rollins explained that his dislike for Punk is similar to Logan Paul, labelling both as selfish in their intentions.

“Look, the bottom line is it’s the same thing as with Logan Paul. Punk and Logan Paul are two different personalities, but they’re both as selfish as it comes. If you’re not going to help, then I don’t want you to be part of our industry. I don’t want you to be part of our company, and that’s all that there is to that.”

CM Punk in WWE
(WWE)

“The Architect” did give Punk credit, however, for what he has done for the industry in the past. He explained that it pains him to speak ill of Punk, especially after how nice he was to him early on in his career. However, the past several years Punk has been in a different headspace.

“Here’s the thing, I will say one thing about Punk, I’ll end it on a positive note with him. That guy has given my career so much that it pains me to have to say bad things about him because he helped me out. He really did.

“He’s been a good guy to me for a lot of my career, but for whatever reason, the past maybe six, seven years, he’s in a different headspace, and we’re not on the same page and to see kind of what he’s done and taken and taken, it’s always been about him.

“I’m not a fan. I’m just not a fan of it. There’s a place for him, man. He’s got a lot to give. I just wish his head was in the right spot.”

Rollins is currently gearing up to challenge for the United States Championship inside the Elimination Chamber. The action goes down at the Elimination Chamber PLE on February 18 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Potential Spoilers on Plans for WWE U.S. Title at Elimination Chamber 2023 (Report)

Fans eager to see a new United States Champion crowned at WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 may be in for a disappointing night in Montreal.

WWE Elimination Chamber will be the promotion’s next stop on the road to WrestleMania 39, and the first Montreal PLE since Breaking Point 2009.

The show will be headlined by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defending against Sami Zayn.

United States Championship

For the first time in history, the WWE U.S. Title will be decided inside an Elimination Chamber match.

Current and two-time champion Austin Theory will defend against Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Montez Ford, Damian Priest and Bronson Reed.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is reported that Theory has filmed content for WWE that is due to air in March and is holding the U.S. Title in the footage, making a title change unlikely.

Meltzer said that while the footage does not rule out a title change entirely, the line-up in the chamber does not suggest a title change will happen. He adds:

“Gargano and Ford are unlikely to win unless the plan is to split up the Street Profits, which has been talked about but unless they have a major plan for Ford there is no reason to do so. Reed is a longshot but they could and probably will try to portray him in a manner to become a bigger star. Priest could win at this stage and would probably be the favorite aside from Theory.”

WrestleMania 39

Theory may be leaving the Elimination Chamber as United States Champion, but there will be no rest for the wicked.

Current plans for WrestleMania will see Theory face John Cena, in a match that was teased throughout 2022.

Meltzer noted in his report that Cena Vs. Theory does not need the United States title, though it was John’s first title he won in 2004.

Seth Rollins: Logan Paul Only Cares About Himself

Seth Rollins isn’t buying into Logan Paul’s supposed love for WWE and professional wrestling.

“The Architect” was recently a guest on The Pat McAfee Show where he was asked about Paul eliminating him during the Royal Rumble match last month. Since, Rollins has been speaking ill on Paul whenever he gets the chance.

While McAfee was praising Paul for his dedication to his in-ring work, Rollins explained he believes Paul is only using WWE to boost his own brand.

“He’s in it for himself. He’s in it for his own gain. So, I don’t want you in my business if you’re going to leech off it and you’re going to take from it. Great if you’re going to help out and you’re going to make everything as good as you can, but if you’re going to come and do it for you…look I can only judge what he’s done in the past.

“His own history, that’s foretelling for the future, and that’s why I don’t like the guy. That’s why I don’t dig the guy and he’s going to go rub it in on social media. He’s going to talk his talk, but he don’t want to say nothing to my face.””

Paul has certainly been impressive inside the ring since joining WWE. His tag team match alongside The Miz, as they took on The Mysterios, at WrestleMania last year was very well received.

The YouTube star has received great feedback for his in-ring ability since debuting inside the squared circle. Paul also challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE World Championship at Crown Jewel last year.

Although his challenge was an unsuccessful one, the match itself received great reviews. Now, after eliminating Rollins at the Royal Rumble, it seems like WWE is angling for a match between the pair at WrestleMania 39 in Las Angeles later this year.

Currently, Rollins is slated to challenge for the United States Title inside the Elimination Chamber later this month.

Seth Rollins on Vince McMahon’s WWE Return: “You Ever Seen Succession?”

Seth Rollins has had an interesting take to the McMahon family and recent changes in WWE, comparing the situation to the hit series ‘Succession.’

The comedy-drama series, now in its fourth season, tells the story of the Logan family and the power struggles when their father steps down from controlling an influential media company.

Succession

Like the Logans, the McMahons are no stranger to personal drama, as seen with the return of Vince McMahon earlier this year.

When asked about Vince’s return to power by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Rollins found the comparison to Succession to be apt.

“Have you ever seen the show ‘Succession’? If you need an explanation, there you go. You have three seasons of it, I think on HBO, so that’s again, all above my head. I’m a pro wrestler, I show up, I put in the work in the ring, try to do my best to entertain the people who buy the tickets and watch us on TV, and that’s all I can focus on. If I start worrying about the other stuff, I’m gonna lose my cool so, I gotta keep my cool, my friend.”

Seth Rollins.

Vince Vs. McMahon

WrestleMania 16 in 2000 was sold on the promise of ‘a McMahon in every corner’ for the main event, but Vince’s issues with his own kin aren’t just for show.

Following Stephanie’s resignation last month, it was reported that she and her father struggled to work together, with Nick Khan acting as a peacemaker between them.

Daddy’s Little Girl isn’t the only McMahon to draw Vince’s ire, as Shane McMahon was fired last year due to his actions backstage at the Royal Rumble.

Shane’s behavior was so egregious that Vince claimed at the time that his son would never receive another pop from the crowd at a WWE event.

With his biological children out of WWE, Vince’s sole relation still working for the promotion is his son-in-law Triple H, and reports of conflict between the two have cropped up over the years.

Seth Rollins on Logan Paul: “I Don’t Really Need Him in my Locker Room”

Both Seth Rollins and Logan Paul worked this year’s 30-Man Royal Rumble match as Paul entered the bout at the 29th spot.

It was a surprise return for the YouTuber after he was injured in his match with Roman Reigns at the 2022 Crown Jewel event.

Paul eliminated Rollins from the Royal Rumble match after Rollins had been in the match for 37 minutes.

Rollins Sounds Off

While speaking on Instagram Live, Rollins went off on Paul in storyline and noted that Paul is not a real wrestler and he’s only in the WWE to further his popularity.

“Alright, look. I was going to avoid this topic but since I’ve seen a few of you guys asking so far about Logan Paul, I don’t know. I don’t know about Logan Paul. All I know is that I don’t really like Logan Paul. I’ll just say it. A lot of us don’t really like Logan Paul. We don’t. I don’t like Logan Paul, I don’t really need him in my locker room, in my space. Great, the guy is ultra talented as far as athletic ability is concerned.”

Rollins noted that it was his fault that Paul eliminated him from the bout because he took his eyes off the ball.

“It’s probably the coolest thing Logan’s ever gonna do in his life. I just advise him to stay in his lane. He’s had what, three or four matches? Again, athletic freak, no doubt about it. But, at the end of the day, he’s just not a wrestler. He doesn’t want to be a wrestler. He just wants to be famous, he doesn’t care about the industry. He’s not a wrestler. It’s best for him to just stay in his lane, whatever his lane is, I don’t know, buying counterfeit Pokémon cards. If that’s your lane, stay in that lane. Don’t come knocking on my door cause I’ll knock you out.”

Rolllins said that Paul doesn’t have his brother as backup because he’s about to get cooked in his upcoming boxing ring. He said that Paul shouldn’t be bragging about the Rumble elimination.

All signs point to Rollins wrestling Paul at WrestleMania. For Now, Rollins will compete in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match for the United States Championship on February 18.

Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania Opponent Becomes Apparent at WWE Raw

Seth Rollins won’t have to wait until the day of WrestleMania to find out his opponent this year, as who he’ll face this April is abundantly clear.

This year’s show will mark Rollins’ 10th WrestleMania appearance, after making his Mania debut with the Shield back at WrestleMania 29 in 2013.

WrestleMania 39

At last weekend’s Royal Rumble, Rollins hoped to win his second Men’s Rumble match (his first win coming in 2019) but that was thwarted by Logan Paul.

Rollins entered the match at #15 and scored two eliminations in his 37 minutes in the match, before being the 27th person eliminated.

In a backstage interview at Raw, Rollins was his usual confident, cocky, self, but his mood completely changed when asked about Logan Paul.

Paul has impressed so far, and Rollins is a great opponent for him, as the former Universal Champion is a veteran who can push Paul to be his best in a fast-paced match.

WrestleMania 39

It had previously been reported that WWE’s plans called for John Cena to face Logan Paul but that obviously isn’t the direction anymore.

It has been reported that scrapping the Cena-Paul match is due to the belief that Cena will not have time to train and rehearse a match with the talented, but inexperienced YouTuber.

More recent reports state that the plan now is for Cena to take on WWE United States Champion Austin Theory in the former’s first WrestleMania match since 2020, and his first non-cinematic WrestleMania match since 2018.

During this week’s Raw, it was confirmed that Cody Rhodes will challenge Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns this April.

2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match winner Rhea Ripley also declared that she will challenge SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39.

Kurt Angle: Seth Rollins Should Be Where Roman Reigns Is

WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle believes WWE should utilize Seth Rollins more.

Angle recently took to his podcast, “The Kurt Angle Show,” and was asked about who he’d like to share the ring with if he got to have one last match. The Olympic Gold medalist chose Seth Rollins as a prime option, heaping a ton of praise on “The Architect.”

In fact, Angle explained that he doesn’t believe WWE utilizes Rollins to his potential, believing he should be in a similar spot to that of Roman Reigns.

“I really, really like Seth Rollins. I love the character he’s doing right now, the flamboyant thing,” Angle said. “He is such a great wrestler, such a great talent. I know the company has utilized him a lot the past couple of years. But I think they don’t utilize him enough. I think he should be where Roman Reigns is  — on top all of the time.”

Rollins participated in this past weekend’s Men’s Royal Rumble match and put on quite the performance. However, he was eventually eliminated by Logan Paul. Rollins is still featured as one of the top stars on Monday Night RAW at the moment.

With WrestleMania 39 right around the corner, it will be interesting to see what plans the professional wrestling juggernaut have in store for the former World Champion at “The Show Of Shows.”

Seth Rollins Doesn’t Want CM Punk Back in WWE: “Stay Away, You Cancer”

Seth Rollins doesn’t sound too interested in having CM Punk back in the WWE locker room.

Rollins is currently in San Antonio, Texas for the Royal Rumble. WWE has been hosting a series of media events over the past few days, including one on Saturday to promote the upcoming launch of the WWE 2K23 video game.

Nick Hausman of WrestlingInc caught up with Rollins, who was dressed up as a “Dripping Cowboy” to honor the local heritage. The 2019 Rumble winner scoffed at the idea of Cody Rhodes being the odds-on favorite to win this year’s match.

Hausman asked Rollins about a few potential free agents, and whether or not he’d like to see them [back] in WWE.

Regarding FTR, Rollins was all about it. “Yeah, great talents, hell of a tag team,” he said. “[They’re] good guys, always had a hell of a relationship with them, I’d love to see them come back if they’d like to come back with us.”

As for CM Punk, not so much.

“Aww, Philly Phil, stay away! Stay away, you cancer. Get away from me forever.”

– Seth Rollins on CM Punk returning to WWE

Hausman was surprised by the answer, which led Rollins to double down. “I don’t like Phil, he’s a jerk. Oh, did we just figure that out? Everybody in the room is like, ‘Oh no, did he say that?’ Yeah, he’s a jerk, we figured that out over there [AEW], we knew it over here [WWE]. I don’t want him back. Go do something else. Bye-bye! See ya later!”

Rollins says the new WWE 2k23 game looks sick. The next-gen systems have the graphics looking unreal, the gameplay is incredible and he’s eager to try out the new WarGames match. Most importantly, he and his wife (Becky Lynch) look great, so “it’s all a win.”

WWE 2K23 is due out Tuesday, March 14. You can pre-order the game now at Amazon.

Will Ospreay Would ‘Love’ Match With Seth Rollins

Will Ospreay still wants to share the ring with WWE’s Seth Rollins.

Ospreay has been very vocal about his desire to wrestle against WWE’s “Architect” in recent weeks. He was asked about these aspirations during a recent appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette.

Despite the fact that both men are currently wrestling for different promotions, Ospreay says he wants to make it work while the potential window for such an arrangement is still open.

“I would love to do it. I liked Seth before he was Seth. I liked him when he was Tyler Black. I used to think he was a good wrestler in Ring of Honor, and I think he still is a good wrestler. So if there was a chance of making it work, I’d absolutely love to make it work.

“It’s just, we are bound by contractual obligations that say that we can’t do it. But I don’t know. I feel like the doors are slowly opening to other exports, and maybe things can happen here and there. But I don’t know. A little bit, like someone opened a window, but not the good window, like that little small bathroom [window].”

Seth Rollins
(via WWE)

The history between the two men began back in 2019, when a Twitter feud between Ospreay and Rollins broke out. Since, Ospreay himself has said that he’s put that behind him, however, he can’t ignore that there’s a story to be told inside the ring given the history.

However, given the current state of confusion surrounding WWE at the moment, any such crossover bout likely won’t be in the cards any time soon.

Seth Rollins Wants to Main Event WWE’s Biggest Event of 2023

WrestleMania is drawing nearer and there’s been rumors swirling about who will be there. John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and The Rock have all been the subject of these rumors.

One Superstar that wants to be in the main event is Seth “Freakin'” Rollins. He took to Twitter to say “really feel like main eventing WrestleMania this year.”

Memorable Mania Moments for Seth Rollins

Cody Rhodes Vs Seth Rollins WrestleMania

As a member of The Shield, Rollins made his WrestleMania debut in 2013. They took on Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Big Show. The “Hounds of Justice” were victorious. At WrestleMania 30, The Shield defeated New Age Outlaws and Kane in under three minutes.

Since winning his first WrestleMania match as a member of The Shield, he has moved to 6-3 overall. An interesting stat is that “The Architect” is undefeated in tag team matches at “The Show of Shows”.

His first WrestleMania loss would come at ‘Mania 31 against Orton. It’s perhaps remembered for what many think is the best RKO ever. Rollins was going for the Curb Stomp when Orton reversed into the RKO and promptly followed up with a pin. That same night, Rollins would cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase during Reigns and Brock Lesnar’s match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins would be victorious.

John Cena Filmed Additional Segment for WWE at SmackDown

Other big moments include defeating HHH in a non-sanctioned match, beating The Miz and Finn Balor to become Intercontinental Champion for the first time, and facing Cody Rhodes in his return to the company after seven years.

Perhaps if he wins Royal Rumble, “The Visionary” will get his wish to headline “The Grandest Stage of Them All”.

Will Ospreay Discusses Potential Crossover Match With Seth Rollins

Will Ospreay seems to be interested in a crossover match with WWE’s Seth Rollins.

Ospreay recently spoke with Sportkeeda’s WrestleBinge on a variety of topics, including a potentially crossover match with WWE’s “Architect.” He noted that Rollins is more than welcome to make the trip over to Japan to settle their differences.

“I think it would be good to — I mean, obviously all the smoke is cleared between myself and Seth. But like, there’s always that desire or want to see two guys just beat the crap out of one another, right? So if Seth’s still got a bit of an issue, then I’ve got a bit of an issue. So he’s more than welcome to come over to Japan.”

Seth Rollins

Back in 2019, Rollins and Ospreay found themselves in a Twitter back-and-forth that apparently developed some bad blood between the pair. Ospreay has seemingly noted that the issues have now subsided, but a match between them would still be interesting.

Recently, Ospreay dropped the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 17. As for Rollins, he failed to capture the United States Championship from Austin Theory on Monday Night RAW this week.

He also apparently suffered an injury during the bout, meaning any potential matchup between Ospreay and Rollins won’t be happening anytime soon.

Seth Rollins Possibly Injured During Latest WWE Monday Night Raw

The future looks uncertain for WWE Superstar Seth Rollins who appeared to suffer an injury during this week’s Monday Night Raw.

For the first Raw of 2023, Rollins battled United States Champion Austin Theory, who dethroned the Visionary at Survivor Series: WarGames.

Theory had previously cashed in Money in the Bank on Rollins for the U.S. Title (the first non-World Championship cash-in) but failed to win the title.

The Injury

The match between Rollins and Theory was going fine until the Architect injured his leg during the match.

During the closing moments of the match, Rollins attempted the Stomp which Theory evaded, and he hit a low blow and a chop-block.

Some have suggested that this chop-block is when the injury happened, and Theory would go on to hit A-Town Down to get the win.

After the show, Rollins was seen struggling by the live crowd and collapsed to the ground when he put too much pressure on his leg.

WWE has not publicly commented on Rollins’ potential injury at this time.

History Repeats Itself

Rollins may be dealing with a knee injury and if so it won’t be the first time something like this will have happened.

At a Dublin, Ireland WWE Live event in late 2015, Rollins suffered a knee injury during a match with Kane, which would result in him forfeiting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins would have to undergo surgery to repair his knee and would be out for six months, and would miss WrestleMania 32.

Seth Rollins is Sports Illustrated’s #1 Wrestler of 2022 – Roman Reigns at #4

Seth Rollins has added another accolade to his impressive wrestling career, being crowned the #1 wrestler of 2022 by Sports Illustrated.

The list, published this week, commends Rollins as having “wrestled the most compelling, convincing, and effective matches” for the past 12 months.

Rollins’ promos and character work have “brought him to a whole new level of greatness” according to the article.

In his Instagram Story, Rollins reacted to the ranking, saying “Thanks for the love. An honor to be a part of this list.”

Seth Rollins in 2022

Seth’s year started off strong as he challenged Universal Champion Roman Reigns and got a DQ win over the Tribal Chief, the only person to get a PLE victory over Reigns since his 2020 heel turn.

From there, Rollins would have an epic feud with the returning Cody Rhodes, and losing on three Premium Live Events did not damage Rollins’ stature at all.

After failing to win Money in the Bank, Rollins would engage in a deeply personal rivalry with Matt Riddle, and their postponed match for Summerslam would take place at Clash at the Castle.

Rollins defeated the Original Bro in Cardiff but would lose to Riddle by submission in the Fight Pit at WWE Extreme Rules.

In October, Rollins became a two-time U.S. Champion, defeating Bobby Lashley, a title he would hold until Survivor Series: WarGames, where he would lose to Austin Theory.

The Architect will challenge for the title on the first Raw of 2023.

The Rankings

Rollins may be number one, but Sports Illustrated had some difficult picks for the rest of the list.

The full ranking is as follows.

  1. Seth Rollins
  2. Jon Moxley
  3. WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair
  4. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns
  5. IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay
  6. AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter
  7. AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo
  8. IWGP World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood
  9. IWGP World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler
  10. Masha Slamovich

Seth Rollins Paid Tribute to Brodie Lee at WWE Show from Rochester, NY

On Saturday night, WWE had a house show in Rochester, NY. That is the hometown of the late, great Brodie Lee.

After a match with Austin Theory, an emotional Seth Rollins paid tribute to his late friend. “Mr. Brodie Lee, aka Luke Harper, was from here and he passed away a couple years ago, about this time. This is the first time that I’ve been here with a microphone in my hand, in this city to tell him much I miss him and how much I love him.” The crowd began chanting, “Brodie. Brodie. Brodie.”

“The Architect” continued with, “I just wanted to say tonight was for him. Every single time we’re in Rochester, in my heart, that means we’re here for him. It’s Saturday and you know what that means.”

Brodie Lee’s Death

As Rollins mentioned, it’s getting close to the anniversary of Lee’s untimely death. He passed away December 26, 2020. Lee’s wife, Amanda, detailed his health issues that started in October 2020. His health declined rapidly and he was not approved for lung transplants. On Christmas Eve, they began preparing him for end of life care.

A funeral was not held due to COVID-19. AEW’s “Celebration of Life” episode was his funeral, according to Amanda.

Amanda now works for AEW in their Community Outreach department. Negative 1 still appears on AEW programming, including the Black Friday edition of Rampage where his mentor, Preston “10” Vance, turned on Dark Order and threw the mask his father gave him down at his feet.

AEW Star Responds to Seth Rollins’ Shot at Cody Rhodes During WWE Raw

United States Champion Seth Rollins was interviewed tonight during WWE RAW ahead of his title match this Saturday at Survivor Series WarGames.

  • WWE Survivor Series 2022 Preview

The Visionary will be putting the title on the line against Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match at the premium live event. Last week on Raw, Austin Theory attacked Seth Rollins after his successful title defense over Finn Balor in the main event.

On this week’s edition of RAW, Seth claimed that Austin Theory made a massive mistake by attacking him. He noted that Theory didn’t make a mistake by attempting the cash-in, but crossed the line last week. Seth reminded everyone that he was the superstar that put Cody Rhodes on the shelf and said he will do the same to Austin Theory.

Cody returned to WWE at WrestleMania 38 as former CEO Vince McMahon’s handpicked opponent for Rollins. The American Nightmare defeated Seth three times in a row before tearing his pectoral muscle while training for WWE Hell in a Cell 2022.

Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory then brawled in the ring and the All Mighty dominated. Theory hit Bobby with a chair but Lashley no sold it. He chased Austin backstage and Theory threw Mustafa Ali in the way. Theory had just beaten Ali in a singles match and Bobby inflicted more punishment on Mustafa with the Hurt Lock as Austin escaped.

During Seth’s promo on Raw, Cody Rhodes’ brother and All Elite Wrestling star Dustin Rhodes took to Twitter to respond to Rollins’ shot at the American Nightmare. Dustin tagged Seth and hit him with the middle finger emoji in response to the promo.

Seth Rollins to Defend US Title, Multiple Matches Changed Ahead of Tonight’s WWE Raw

Seth Rollins attempted to have an Open Challenge for the United States Championship last week and Finn Balor accepted.

However, The OC interrupted and Mia Yim made her return to the company to battle with Rhea Ripley. Rollins retreated out of the ring but issued the Open Challenge once again and it was accepted by Mustafa Ali backstage.

Bobby Lashley then attacked Seth Rollins and accepted the Open Challenge. Rollins won the US Title from Lashley after The Beast Brock Lesnar attacked The All Mighty. Lashley got his revenge on Rollins last week and attacked him instead of having a match.

Austin Theory took the opportunity to cash-in his MITB contract on Seth but it backfired. Bobby got Theory in the Hurt Lock and Rollins capitalized with a Stomp for a pinfall victory.

US Title Match Added to WWE Raw

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor were originally supposed to square off in a non-title match against each other tonight on the red brand. RAW correspondent Byron Saxton took to Twitter and announced that the bout tonight was now for the United States Championship.

Hello everyone, we are just a couple of hours away from Monday Night RAW.

We have some breaking news, tonight in Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center, Seth “Freakin” Rollins is now going to defend his United States Championship against the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor.

It is going to be a jam-packed evening tonight on Monday Night Raw.

Matt Riddle’s Match Changed Before Tonight’s Show

Matt Riddle was scheduled to team up with Elias tonight but that match has been changed. The duo were supposed to face American Alpha tonight on the red brand but Riddle will battle Chad Gable in a singles match instead.

WWE posted a preview for the tag team match earlier in the week that read:

Ever since returning, Elias has had a tough time, most recently suffering a loss to Otis. He has, however, found a fan in Matt Riddle, who keeps insisting they form a band. With Elias’ musical talents and The Original Bro’s superb bongo ripping, the two would light up an audience.

Now, they get to do just that as they team together for the first time to take on Otis and Chad Gable of Alpha Academy, who will look to make Nov. 14 the day the music died.”

The preview has since been replaced for the singles match between Riddle and Gable tonight.

Will Ospreay Has Been Contacted by WWE – Has Dream Opponents in Mind

Could Will Ospreay step through the Forbidden Door and compete against some of WWE’s biggest stars?

Ospreay is currently signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling and is in his first reign as IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion.

In June this year, Ospreay made his debut for AEW and defended his title against Orange Cassidy at the AEWxNJPW: Forbidden Door event.

Stepping Through the Forbidden Door

In addition to New Japan and AEW, Ospreay has competed for Progress Wrestling, Rev Pro, and Ring of Honor, among other promotions.

Ospreay has yet to compete in a WWE ring, but as he told Tokyo Sports, it is something he’s considering.

“I’ve been approached by them, so I have a lot to think about.”

Will Ospreay.

This year has seen WWE work more with other promotions, including having Impact’s Mickie James at the Women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

AEW stars were allowed to appear on Raw in June to mark the 20th anniversary of John Cena’s debut, and it is reported that the Good Brothers will compete for NJPW up until Wrestle Kingdom in January.

Opponents

If Ospreay does compete for WWE, there’s no shortage of potential Superstars for him to face.

In the interview, Ospreay discussed possible opponents, including a first-ever match and reuniting with an old foe.

“I’ve mentioned Seth Rollins’ name many times… Also, considering my history, it would be a dream to fight Ricochet again. I think that because I think we have become completely different wrestlers than when we fought in the past.”

Ricochet and Ospreay have faced off a total of 13 times according to Cagematch, which their most recent bout being in August 2017.

Dana Brooke Explains Her Fiery Response To Seth Rollins

Dana Brooke has explained the fiery response she had for Seth Rollins last month.

On an episode of Monday Night RAW last month, Seth Rollins was a guest on commentary and discussed the possibility of Austin Theory cashing in his Money In The Bank contract for the United States Title.

Rollins said that Theory “has a better chance cashing in on Dana Brooke!” Brooke didn’t appreciate this much, taking to Twitter to issue a fiery response to Rollins and his comment.

“Talk is CHEAP!! I work my a** off every single day & will not tolerate this sh*t anymore! I can promise you I am the hardest working WOMAN around, never have I taken off work, always worked through injuries, proved multiple times I can fit any position given & DO IT W/ A SMILE!”

Having been poked fun at on TV before by others such as Corey Graves, Brooke seems to be tired of it.

Speaking in a recent interview with NBC Sports Boston, Dana explained why she got so heated in her response to Rollins last month.

“I’ve taken it many times, Sam Roberts, Corey Graves, and now Seth Rollins. They don’t see what I do behind the scenes. It’s always about an opportunity and I’m waiting on that opportunity to come out there and show them what I can do.

“But behind the scenes, I’m working 24/7. I’m in the ring here. I’m working out at the gym. I do boxing classes. I work on promo skills, acting classes, everything. I’m doing it all and never missed a day of work ever. I’ve had deaths in the family.

“I’ve showed up to work that following week just because I want that opportunity. I really do. People always see what is showcased out there in the ring or what’s on TV, but they never see how someone is working behind the scenes.

“I promise you I’m the hardest working woman. I said talk is cheap because I have that aggression. I have that pent up, you know, anger inside that I’m just ready to let out and show the world that I can do it.

“Trust me, I can do it. I’m just as good and as equal as every other woman on the roster. At the end of the day, my time will come.”

Brooke has been signed to WWE since 2013. Throughout that time, she has won only the WWE 24/7 Title 15 times, currently holding the strap.
