Dana Brooke Fires Back At Seth Rollins For RAW Comment

Dana Brooke has fired back at Seth Rollins for his comment about her on Monday Night RAW this week.

During the show last night, while on commentary, Rollins addressed the possibility of Austin Theory cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase on him for the United States Championship.

Rollins said that Theory “has a better chance cashing in on Dana Brooke!” Brooke definitely caught wind of this, and was seemingly not happy about it. She took to Twitter to fire back at Rollins, saying the following.

“Talk is CHEAP!! I work my a** off every single day & will not tolerate this sh*t anymore! I can promise you I am the hardest working WOMAN around, never have I taken off work, always worked through injuries, proved multiple times I can fit any position given & DO IT W/ A SMILE!”

Brooke, who is no stranger to being poked fun at on live TV by her peers, has been with WWE since 2013, having worked on both RAW and SmackDown Live. Throughout that time, Brooke has yet to win a championship title outside of the 24/7 Championship.

As of this writing, Brooke is a 13-time WWE 24/7 Champion, and currently holds the title, which is what Rollins was referencing in his comment last night.

Seth Rollins Set To Defend US Title Against Bitter Rival On WWE RAW

Seth Rollins captured the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley last week on RAW and is already scheduled to put the title on the line this week.

The Visionary won the US Title in controversial fashion last week on the red brand. Seth was attacked Bobby Lashley two weeks ago following his successful title defense against Mustafa Ali.

The All Mighty responded to the attack and issued a challenge for a title match against Seth last Monday. Seth was coming into the bout at a bit of a disadvantage as he had just lost to Riddle two days prior in a Fight Pit match at WWE Extreme Rules.

However, Brock Lesnar made his way to the ring and attacked Bobby Lashley before the match. The Beast planted Bobby with a couple of F5s and left him laying in the ring. Seth capitalized on the attack and easily defeated a weakened Lashley to become the new champion.

Seth Rollins To Defend The Title Against Matt Riddle On WWE RAW

The bitter rivalry between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins has not come to an end. WWE announced that Seth will put the United States Championship on the line against Matt this Monday night on RAW. The rivalry between Matt and Seth had gotten extremely personal as of late, with Rollins making references to Riddle’s struggles with his family life.

UFC legend Daniel Cormier was named the special guest referee for the Fight Pit match between the two at Extreme Rules. Matt won the match via submission and posed with Cormier at the conclusion of the PLE.

Positive Update on Cody Rhodes’ WWE Return Timeframe

Cody Rhodes triumphantly returned to WWE back at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year, where the American Nightmare was quickly featured as one of the company’s biggest stars and top babyfaces. He went on a miraculous win streak in that time, including victories over Kevin Owens and an insane trilogy with new United States champion, Seth Rollins.

Unfortunately for Rhodes he would hit a roadblock. Prior to his Hell in a Cell showdown with Rollins at the beginning of June he tore his pectoral muscle while weight training, leaving him with a bruise that the entire WWE Universe would see as he still competed at Hell in a Cell in a critically acclaimed matchup. Once the injury occurred several reports surfaced stating that he would be on the shelf anywhere from 6-8 months.

Ahead of Schedule

Rhodes is recovering from his injury well, and is even slightly ahead of schedule from his original timetable, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It is mentioned in the report that he has been working alongside WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page during this time, and has been taking it easy with upper body weights.

As for a return…the Royal Rumble is said to be “looking good,” but there is also some speculation on him returning in time for Day 1 as that event is in his childhood hometown of Atlanta. Either way WWE will be attempting to keep it a secret so there can be a surprise pop whenever it does happen.

Rhodes told the WWE Universe when he returned that his goal is to do what his father, the great Dusty Rhodes couldn’t do in WWE, which was hold a world title.

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Attend Thursday Night Football Game

United States Champion Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch attended tonight’s football game in Chicago.

Seth Rollins captured the United States Championship from Bobby Lashley this past Monday night on RAW.

The Visionary had attacked Bobby Lashley on the RAW before WWE Extreme Rules. Lashley had just successfully defended the United States Championship against Mustafa Ali. Seth attacked after the bell and planted the champion with a Stomp.

On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Bobby Lashley was ready to defend his title when The Beast Brock Lesnar’s music hit. Brock attacked Lashley and hit him with a couple of F5s. Seth then goaded Lashley into still having the match by questioning his courage. Rollins capitalized on a wounded Lashey and defeated The All Mighty to capture the title.

Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch Attend Chicago Bears Game

The Chicago Bears are currently playing the Washington Commanders on Thursday night football. Ahead of kickoff, the Bears’ official Twitter account sent out a photo of Seth and Becky at the game. Seth had the United States Championship around his shoulder in the photograph.

The post had the caption “we love football” above the image. Rollins often tweets out “I love football” or “I hate football” depending on whether the Bears won the game or not.

Becky Lynch last wrestled at this year’s SummerSlam PLE. Big Time Becks battled for the RAW Women’s Championship but lost to Bianca Belair. After the match, Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai) arrived and surrounded the champion. Becky turned babyface and stood by The EST’s side and Damage CTRL retreated.

The following night on RAW, Damage CTRL attacked Becky to write her off of television as she recovers from a separated shoulder suffered at SummerSlam. Lynch posted about attending tonight’s football game and you can check that out below.

Seth Rollins Wins WWE United States Title

Seth Rollins has dethroned Bobby Lashley as the WWE United States Champion.

On Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Rollins was supposed to challenge Lashley for the title. However, before he did, Brock Lesnar made his return and attacked Lashley by hitting him with a few F5s and locking in the kimura submission hold.

Lashley was being helped from ringside by some referees when Rollins walked out, got into the ring to cut a promo in typical heel fashion, and talked down to Lashley as a way to try to fire him up and accept the match despite being injured.

Seth Rollins is a Champion Again

Lashley bit on the bait and accepted the match. Rollins managed to get some near falls with a pedigree and a frog splash off the top rope. WWE kept Lashley strong and had him connect with a few moves before Rollins laid him out with the stomp to become the new champion.

Rollins just lost to Matt Riddle in the Fight Pit Match at Saturday’s Extreme Rules, with UFC Legend Daniel Cormier serving as the special guest referee.

Seth Rollins Blacks Out Twitter Account After Another Loss At WWE Extreme Rules

Seth Rollins lost yet again at a WWE Premium Live Event and doesn’t appear to be handling to it too well.

He battled Matt Riddle in the main event of Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit match UFC legend Daniel Cormier was the special guest referee for the match. Matt had the advantage as a former MMA fighter and tapped out Seth to win the match. After the match, the lights went out and Bray Wyatt returned. You can check that out here.

Rollins has only won two matches at Premium Live Events this year. The Visionary defeated Reigns via DQ at the Royal Rumble in January. He also defeated Matt Riddle last month at WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales.

Seth Rollins Blacks Out Twitter Ahead Of US Title Match On WWE RAW

Seth and Liv Morgan both had similar reactions following their losses tonight at Extreme Rules. Liv blacked out her Twitter account and now Seth Rollins has done the same as seen in the image below.

Seth Rollins Twitter

The 36-year-old will have to put this loss behind him fast because he’s scheduled to face Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship on RAW. On last week’s episode of the red brand, Seth Rollins brutally attacked Bobby Lashley following his successful title defense against Mustafa Ali.

Bobby was interviewed in the trainer’s room following the attack and challenged Seth to the match scheduled for Monday at the Barclays Center. During Extreme Rules, the champion took to Twitter and took a shot at Rollins.

Matt Riddle Wins Fight Pit Match at WWE Extreme Rules

Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins met in the Fight Pit Match with former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Daniel Cormier serving as the special guest referee at Saturday’s WWE Extreme Rules premium live event from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.

The Fight Pit is a unique stipulation and had never been done on the main roster until now. The ring is surrounded by a steel cage-like structure. It’s different from the traditional steel cage match because one cannot win by escaping. A wrestler can only win by knockout or submission, which makes a Fight Pit match more MMA-bout-like.

The match saw Riddle did the Showtime Pettis kick off the cage. Rollins with a frog splash off part of the cage. They went onto the platform above the ring and brawled. Rollins with the buckle bomb into the cage. Rollins with the pedigree on the platform. Riddle with an RKO on the platform then a floating bro off the platform into the ring. The finish saw Riddle put him in a choke and Rollins tapped out.

Before tonight, it had only taken place under the banner of NXT, where it was first introduced. The first-ever Fight Pit match saw Timothy Thatcher defeat Tomasso Ciampa in January of 2020. The second one Riddle, where he fought Thatcher in a losing effort.

Matt Riddle: Personal Insults from Seth Rollins have been “Therapeutic”

Matt Riddle has no problem with Seth Rollins airing some of the Original Bro’s ‘dirty laundry’ to millions of WWE fans each week.

Rollins and Riddle have been feuding for months, with Seth making reference to Riddle’s recent divorce.

Riddle’s now ex-wife Lisa divorced the WWE Superstar in March 2022, when Matt admitted to having a consensual affair with wrestler Candy Cartwright, who accused Riddle of sexual assault.

Therapy

It was during the August 29, 2022 Raw, that Rollins brought up Riddle’s divorce, saying that Lisa “took your kids and they don’t want to see your b*tch a** anymore.”

Speaking on the latest After the Bell, Riddle explained why referencing his real-life situation has been a blessing in disguise.

“I think he [Rollins] realizes what I bring to the table. What I’m willing to do to get reactions from the crowd. You know, when we go personal, we talk about things we probably shouldn’t be talking about. But I’m like, bro, I don’t care. I do pay child support. Things are rough for me. And for me, I honestly see this as more of a therapeutic thing because anybody who knows me knows what I’m going through.

“I do pay child support. Things are rough for me… I honestly see this as more of a therapeutic thing.”

Matt Riddle on personal feud with Seth Rollins.

“[People] are like ‘I can’t believe. If he would have said that to me. If I was going through that.’ Everybody who’s been in that spot, in that moment, can relate.”

Making it Real

Riddle’s willingness to bring up real-life situations has made his feud with Rollins a highlight of Raw in this post-Vince McMahon era.

Speaking about his feud with Rollins, Riddle said that making things seem real is incredibly important to him.

“I want people to relate. Everybody can relate to being the smaller brother or friend who just wants to be cool and have the other brother like him. That’s me and Randy. With Seth, it’s just two guys who don’t like each other and Seth has talked some crap that he shouldn’t have been talking.

“For me, the more real it is, the easier it is and the better it is. And that’s what makes me working with Seth so good. Because he’s the same way. He likes to go all in.

Riddle and Rollins will face at tomorrow night in the Fight Pit match at Extreme Rules 2022, with special guest referee Daniel Cormier.

Who Convinced Daniel Cormier to Make WWE Extreme Rules 2022 Debut?

Daniel Cormier’s impending WWE debut would likely not have transpired if not for the actions of Seth Rollins.

Cormier will be at this Saturday’s Extreme Rules Premium Live Event and officiate the Fight Pit match between Rollins and Matt Riddle.

A former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Cormier retired from the Octagon in August 2020 at the UFC 252 event.

Talking to Rollins

Cormier had teased joining WWE in 2018, when he had a confrontation with Brock Lesnar, but nothing came of it at the time.

Speaking with ESPN MMA’s Marc Raimondi, Cormier said that it was Rollins who began talks about him making an appearance (via Fightful.)

“It wasn’t really from the people in charge. It was Seth Rollins, he texted me goes, ‘Real life-fighting in the fight pit and we may be in the market for a special guest referee, would you have any interest in it?’

“So I said, Yeah, I’d be interested in doing it. I think that it’s fun. I think that what you guys have done has been a pleasure to watch.”

Rollins Vs. Riddle will be the first Fight Pit match on WWE’s main roster, after the stipulation was used twice in NXT.

Daniel Cormier: WWE Superstar?

While Cormier is set to be the special guest referee at Extreme Rules, many expect that this is a stepping stone into an in-ring career.

Fans have pointed out that Ken Shamrock, a fellow legend of UFC, also debuted in the WWE (then WWF) in 1997 as a guest referee.

Shamrock officiated the Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart vs. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin I-Quit match from WrestleMania 13, before transitioning into a role as a wrestler.

Seth Rollins Does Shield Pose With Other WWE Stars (Photo)

Seth Rollins and some other WWE Superstars recently did the Shield pose together at a recent live event.

Rollins, along with Austin Theory and The Miz, did The Shield pose after the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Bismarck, ND this past Saturday. The trio were taking on the team of Bobby Lashley, Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens.

At one point, Rollins, Theory, and Miz even attempted to re-create The Shield’s old Powerbomb finisher on Bobby Lashley. Rollins went as far as imitating Roman Reigns’ and his signature shout before Ziggler broke things up.

Check out an image and clip from the ordeal here below:

Of course, not all members of The Shield are under the WWE banner anymore. Jon Moxley (formerly known as Dean Ambrose) is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he reigns as the promotion’s World Champion.

Roman Reigns sits atop the WWE mountain as its Undisputed Champion. As for Rollins, he’s currently looking to get back to World Champion status himself, serving as, arguably, the top heel on Monday Night RAW.

Seth Rollins is currently embroiled in a feud with Matt Riddle, which will culminate at Extreme Rules in a Fighting Pit match refereed by UFC Hall Of Famer Daniel Cormier.

Report: Daniel Cormier to Referee Rollins vs. Riddle at Extreme Rules

Ariel Helwani tweeted today that former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier would be the special guest referee for the Fight Pit match at Extreme Rules between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle.

Helwani: “This is legit”

The tweet was sudden, coming at 9:03 pm Eastern Time on a college football Saturday. Helwani posted an accompanying graphic and, seemingly to fend off accusations of a work, tweeted, “No, really. This is legit.”

The second tweet included a quote from Cormier (and tagged him), adding further legitimacy to Helwani’s breaking news.

Cormier, as a former two division champion and the second UFC fighter to hold two titles simultaneously (after Conor McGregor), serves as a credible guest referee for an MMA-inspired match.

Cormier is also a noted pro wrestling fan. He was there for Rollins’ “Heist of the Century” at WrestleMania 31, celebrating as Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract. Cormier is smart to the business, and has discussed in the past his desire to have a role with WWE.

A heated rivalry ending in the Fight Pit

Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle

Rollins and Riddle have been embroiled in a feud that has turned personal. Riddle has attacked Rollins for his marriage to Becky Lynch while Rollins has ridiculed Riddle for Riddle’s divorce. The two have brawled over the past few weeks, including a parking lot brawl caught on a fan cam and of course, on Raw. The split-screen promo was an homage to the infamous Jon Jones-Daniel Cormier split-screen interview.

The fight pit is a match Riddle competed in during his stint in NXT against Timothy Thatcher where Kurt Angle was the guest referee. Riddle, like Cormier, also has legitimate MMA experience after competing in the UFC for years, matriculating his way from The Ultimate Fighter.

This may be Rollins’ first Fight Pit match, but he’s no stranger to these types of matches. He’s had multiple Hell in a Cell and cage matches, of which the Fight Pit partially blends the two.

“It Got Me Emotional” – Seth Rollins Reveals His Reaction To Vince McMahon Retiring From WWE

WWE has undergone massive changes this year at the top of the company. Vince McMahon resigned via Twitter due to an investigation into hush money payments made to female employees. Former EVP of Talent Relations was also dismissed due to the scandal.

Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan took over as co-CEOs for the company. Triple H replaced John Laurinaitis as the EVP of Talent Relations and also took over creative responsibilities for WWE as “Chief Content Officer.

Seth Rollins On Vince McMahon Retiring From WWE

Seth Rollins was interviewed by Ariel Helwani of BT Sport this week. During the conversation, Seth was asked about former WWE CEO Vince McMahon and his reaction to the 77-year-old’s resignation from the company in late July.

Seth revealed that he and his wife, WWE Superstar Becky Lynch, found out in the airport at the same time and were shocked at the news.

“I was just, I couldn’t believe it. It is one of those things that you will never forget. I was in the airport, we were heading out to a live event. We were flying out on a Friday. The thing went out at like three o’clock central and so I got the text. I was coming through the security line and I got the text ‘check your app for a note from the chairman’.

I click it and sure enough, he just was retired. I was like (shocked face), and Becky (Lynch) was with Rue looking at a statue of a deer in the airport in Iowa. She was looking at the deer statue and I was like, she just saw my face from a distance and she’s like ‘what’s wrong?’.

I’m like, ‘did you get the text?’ and she’s like ‘no, what?’. I had her look at it and she was like ‘oh my God.’ I think both of us were just like ‘what?’. I always thought, you know Vince is older, so I thought at some point in my tenure in WWE as I intend to be here for quite a long time, he would retire, be forced out, die on the job, who knows.”

Rollins added that he was emotional after learning Vince was exiting the company because it felt like he was losing a friend and a mentor.

But when it happened, it was so abrupt, I was not prepared. Emotionally, it got me emotional because I love Vince. He’s been like a father figure to me over the past ten years. He’s someone that his approval means a lot to me.

So I kind of was just like wow, is that the last time I’m ever going to see Vince? Am I ever going to see him again?

When you have such a close relationship with someone, ups and downs, it just felt like I was losing a friend, and losing a mentor. I didn’t know whether to be excited or not. It kind of felt inappropriate to be excited about something like that.

Seth Rollins On Being Attacked By A WWE Fan During RAW – “He’s A Little Bowling Ball Of A Man”

Seth Rollins recently discussed his altercation with a member of the WWE Universe that tackled him on the entrance ramp during an episode of RAW last November.

The Visionary is scheduled to battle Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit match. Seth and Riddle were originally supposed to battle at WWE SummerSlam but the match was postponed. Rollins picked up a victory over Riddle at Clash at the Castle but their rivalry has gotten even more personal as of late.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Seth was asked about the altercation he had with a WWE fan during an episode of RAW. Helwani complimented Rollins for making light of the situation shortly after.

It was so fast, I didn’t really have time to process it. The only thought I remember having is when he was on top of me, and they were already pulling him away. But he had like a handful of my hair, and I was just trying to kind of punt him off me with whatever foot I had underneath.

Helwani pointed out that it seemed like Seth Rollins had a Guillotine choke hold applied on the fan and Rollins disclosed that was his instinct.

My instinct was to grab his head and immediately just to control his head. I have no Jiu Jitsu training at all so whether I did anything right or wrong is completely instinctive.

My instinct was as soon as I knew that someone was upon me was just to control his head as best I could. Because if he couldn’t posture up then he probably wasn’t going to get anything done.

I was hoping that he didn’t have any weaponry in his hands, which thankfully he did not. It happened so fast, he was on me quickly, he’s a little bowling ball of a man and I just remember thinking ‘what is happening?’ when he’s underneath me.

And then getting him off me, and you know, who is this person? I got to look at him and it was like alright, be done with it. They’ve got it under control, so let’s just move along.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oHDdfp-S9s

Seth added that he saw the guy standing there but WWE always has people running around so he thought it was somebody working. You can check out the full interview in the video below.

Seth Rollins Says Jon Moxley Is “At The Top Of His Game” In AEW

Seth Rollins sat down with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport for an interview and discussed several topics.

He revealed that he felt inferior to Roman Reigns on the biggest night of his career, his thoughts on going winless against Cody Rhodes and their infamous Hell in a Cell match. Rollins also spoke about the disastrous Hell in a Cell match against The Fiend in 2019. Seth was also asked about a former member of The Shield Dean Ambrose, now known as AEW World Champion Jon Moxley.

Moxley was the Interim AEW Champion while CM Punk was out with an injury. He then defeated Punk on an episode of Dynamite to become the AEW Champion, only to lose it back to him at AEW All Out. CM Punk got injured again during that match and also brawled with The Elite following the media scrum.

AEW President Tony Khan vacated the AEW and Trios Championships on the following episode of Dynamite. Jon would go on to defeat fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Bryan Danielson in the finals of the Tournament of Champions at Dynamite: Grand Slam to become AEW World Champion once again.

Seth Rollins On His Relationship With Jon Moxley

During the interview, Ariel asked The Visionary about Jon Moxley and whether or not he still keeps in contact with the former Shield member. Seth revealed that Moxley is not much of a phone guy but they keep in touch. The 36-year-old added that Jon is “at the top of his game doing his thing” in AEW and that he’s never had any animosity towards him.

I don’t talk to him as much obviously. We have opposite schedules and different stuff, but our baby girls are close to the same age. And he’s not much of a texter like he’s an in-person cat. He’s not much of a texter or a phone guy, he’s an in-person dude.

So if there’s ever a chance, when we were in Cincinnati last time I was there I popped in the house to say ‘hi’ and all that, checked in on him.

I do that periodically just to see how he’s doing and stuff. But I’m close with Renee (Paquette), so we are always exchanging baby pictures and what is new with the kids.

But yeah, never any animosity. He’s great, he’s at the top of his game doing his thing over in AEW. So nothing but the best.

I’ve never, between the three of us (Reigns, Rollins, Moxley) and I can’t speak for any of them, but they were closer than I was with either of those guys as friends off camera.

So I assume that they are still chill. I’ve never heard anything to the contrary, but yeah I’ve always had a great relationship with those guys.

Seth Rollins On Controversial Ending To Hell In A Cell Match Against The Fiend: “Not Our Call”

Seth Rollins and former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) had a Hell in a Cell match in 2019 that left a lot to be desired.

The match was the main event of the Premium Live Event and featured The Fiend’s red lighting throughout the contest. In a questionable booking decision, Seth Rollins was disqualified at the end of the match after he stacked up a bunch of chairs on top of The Fiend and bashed him with a sledgehammer.

The Fiend had wielded a giant mallet earlier in the match so the finish didn’t sit well with the majority of the WWE Universe. Sean Waltman (X Pac) was watching the show in a WWE watch-along and couldn’t wrap his mind around someone getting disqualified in a Hell in a Cell match.

Seth Rollins On The Controversial Finish At WWE Hell in a Cell 2019

Seth Rollins was interviewed by Ariel Helwani of BT Sport recently and the match against The Fiend at Hell in a Cell was brought up during the discussion. The Visionary revealed that he was not able to tell a “good wrestling story” with The Fiend because of his character. He added that the finish to the match wasn’t their call.

“It was tough figuring out how to tell a good wrestling story with that character,” said Rollins. “I just wasn’t good at it. That was one thing, I was not good at the phenomenology stuff, like I wasn’t able to interweave that with reality enough to make what I felt was a captivating story. At the end of the day, it probably would have been better if he just mauled me in that cell, put the claw on me and called it a day.

I could have moved on to something else and he could have had his run as champion. But that wasn’t the case and we played the hand we were dealt, and that was not our call. I know he would tell you the same thing, that did not go the way we wanted it to.

We tried, and we tried, and we tried, and the boss at the time would not budge. Like I said before, it is not our sandbox, you know? We are actors on a stage sometimes and we read the lines.”

Seth Rollins on the Hell in a Cell match against The Fiend in 2019

Seth Rollins is slated to battle Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit match. Bray Wyatt is rumored to be the White Rabbit and possibly appear at the Premium Live Event as well. It will be interesting to see if the two cross paths once again.

Seth Rollins Reveals How His Match Against Cody Rhodes At Hell In A Cell Helped Repair His Reputation In WWE

Cody Rhodes made his shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent.

The American Nightmare picked up the win at the biggest show of the year, and went on to defeat Seth at WrestleMania Backlash and one more time at WWE Hell in a Cell.

Rhodes tore his pec while training for the Hell in a Cell match and revealed the gruesome injury at the Premium Live Event. Despite the injury, Cody defeated Seth for the third time in a row. Cody remains out with injury as Rollins gears up for his Fight Pit match against Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8th.

Seth Rollins On How He Got More Respect Following The Match At HIAC

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Seth noted that his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Hell in a Cell actually helped restore his reputation with fans a little bit. The Visionary said that he had gotten a lot of grief online after wrestlers had previously gotten injured in matches with him, and Cody coming out of that match without any further injury earned Seth more respect.

“It really went a long way in repairing my reputation,” said Rollins.”I had gotten so much flack online for some injuries that had happened in matches that I was in and whether they were caused by me, directly or indirectly, is a whole different can of worms.

I think people were like ‘oh maybe he does know how to take care of people in the ring’. Yeah, duh. But yeah, I think it was more visually jarring than anything.

Was there a danger for me in being in there with someone who only has one good arm? Absolutely. But again, we’re professionals and we can design these matches to take care of each other in ways that still create captivating stories and moments.

I think that in some ways the match may not have been as special without that visual of his completely torn, bloody, and bruised arm, chest, and belly. Whatever was going on there.”

Seth Rollins On Going Winless Against Cody Rhodes In WWE: “He Needed To Re-Establish Himself”

Seth Rollins had a tremendous rivalry with Cody Rhodes in 2022 after The American Nightmare made his return to WWE.

Former CEO Vince McMahon in storyline handpicked Cody as Seth’s mystery opponent at WrestleMania 38. The former AEW EVP and TNT Champion made his shocking return to the company at the biggest Premium Live Event of the year and picked up a victory over Seth. The American Nightmare would defeat Seth Rollins again at WrestleMania Backlash.

Cody beat Seth for a third time at Hell in a Cell but suffered a torn pec leading up to the match. Seth attacked Cody on the following RAW as a way to write him off of television.

Seth Rollins On Going Winless Against Cody Rhodes

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, The Visionary said that losing to Cody three times added to the chip on his shoulder because he felt like he was catapulting someone else to a position he deserved. The 36-year-old claimed that he got “more respect” backstage following their rivalry and added that their WrestleMania match was made at the last minute.

“When we finally got the news, which was very last minute as far as WrestleMania is concerned. I knew that was going to be my match and I think it was pretty obvious to me which way things were going to lean. It didn’t stop me from being a little frustrated.

Again, feeling like I was being used to catapult somebody else into a position I felt like I deserved. So that was kind of demoralizing, but that is just more of a chip on my shoulder.”

I definitely think I came out of it a lot better than when I went into it. I don’t think in any way that I suffered from losing three times in a row. If anything, I in some ways got more respect for having the humility to put my own self-interest aside to work with someone who, incoming back into this world (WWE) from his past world (AEW), he needed it a lot more than I did.

My equity is not going anywhere and he needed to re-establish himself.”

Seth Rollins Felt Inferior to Roman Reigns on the Biggest Night of His Career

This November will mark the anniversary of The Shield’s debut on WWE television when they got involved in a triple threat match at Survivor Series involving CM Punk, John Cena, and Ryback.

The trio of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns are on top of the wrestling world but not together under the same promotion. Ambrose, now Jon Moxley, is the current AEW World Champion, while Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and Rollins is a top star.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Rollins talked about how he feels like he has never been ‘the guy’ in WWE with Reigns being around.

Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins

“Even when I had won the title at WrestleMania, cashed in. Great moment. I still felt like I was second fiddle to Roman [Reigns]. I still felt like, ‘he was the guy, you’re the placeholder until he’s totally ready and we’re totally ready to put the ball in his hands. But for now you’re a step ahead, so we’re gonna give you this and then we’ll move on to what we really want to be, it’s just gonna take a few months’. So no, I’ve never ever felt like, in my time in WWE, that the company was like ‘yep, he’s our guy, put his face on everything’.”

Rollins was asked if he feels he is close to getting to that point in WWE. He questions whether it will ever happen because he lives in the Roman era.

The only time I was even considered, I think, for the main event of WrestleMania, [was when] Roman, when he got Leukemia, and he was out from August to January, February whatever it was, and I was second behind in the babyface column, so I got slotted in. So, I feel like, it’s one of those things. The best I can hope for is to be the Edge to his [John] Cena, the [Randy] Savage to his [Hulk] Hogan. Sometimes I just feel like that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. Doesn’t mean that I don’t think I’m better than he is, or that I can perform or I can draw at that level. I certainly think all those things, but it’s not my sandbox. I don’t make those decisions.”

Rollins is set to participate in a Fight Pit match against Matt Riddle at the Extreme Rules event.

What Happened With Seth Rollins After WWE RAW Went Off The Air

Seth Rollins is set to battle Matt Riddle in a Fight Pit at WWE Extreme Rules on October 8th.

Their rivalry has been going on for months and the two were originally supposed to face off at SummerSlam. The match was canceled at the last minute but Seth still attacked Riddle during the Premium Live Event. The rivalry has gotten incredibly personal as Seth recently noted that Matt’s wife and children left him during an interview on RAW. Seth defeated Riddle at Clash at the Castle via pinfall.

On this week’s edition of RAW, Seth vowed to win the bout at Extreme Rules and battled Rey Mysterio in a singles match. Dominik and Rhea Ripley interfered and allowed Seth to pick up a submission victory over Rey.

Riddle was in action tonight in the main event. He battled Damian Priest with The Judgment Day ringside. Riddle emerged victorious after rolling up Damian in the middle of the ring. After the match, The Judgment Day attacked but Edge returned to make the save. The Rated-R Superstar challenged Finn Balor to an “I Quit” match at Extreme Rules.

What Happened After WWE RAW Went Off The Air?

Matt Riddle was celebrating his victory over Damian Priest with the WWE Universe after RAW went off the air. Seth leaped over the barricade and the crowd erupted. The two stars brawled for a little bit before WWE officials broke it up. Seth then scampered around the ring and got in some more shots on Riddle before the two were separated.

DDP: Nobody Right Now is Doing it Better than Seth Rollins

Nobody can hold a candle to what Seth Rollins is doing in the ring right now, at least according to WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page.

Rollins has certainly proven to be a success, having become a WWE Grand Slam winner, holding a World Championship, Intercontinental and United States Championship and Tag Team titles.

Outside of championship titles, Rollins is a Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble winner.

Nobody Does it Better

On this week’s Raw, Rollins challenged United States Champion Bobby Lashley, but was unsuccessful in winning his first championship in over three years.

Speaking on his Snake Pit podcast, Diamond Dallas Page praised the bout and referenced WWE’s change in creative direction.

“They put on a barnburner. When you go to three commercials and they’re still watching the show… You see the show changing, with more wrestling-orientated, storytelling in the ring. I don’t think there’s a better guy out there doing it than Seth Rollins. I mean Bobby [Lashley] is a beast, he did a hell of a job. I thought they were going to drop it [make Seth the Champion.] By no means do I think Seth Rollins needs a title unless it’s the world title or the Universal title.

Diamond Dallas Page.

“I thought they were going to put him over. There were some great false finishes, some great false finishes during that match. That was my favorite thing of all during the show, and opening up with it. It lets you know that you’re watching a different Raw.”

NXT

Rollins’ success on the main roster came after he became a top name as part of WWE’s developmental ground: NXT.

In 2012, after the then-reality show was relaunched into its own brand, Rollins was crowned the first-ever NXT Champion.

Speaking about the developmental brand, which is now run by Shawn Michaels, DDP explained why in many ways, its better to come straight to WWE.

“A lot of these kids get trained in independent places by guys who really never made it! Never even got to the show, never mind top guy. A lot of these guys get trained by guys who weren’t top guys. And there’s no bigger top guy than Shawn Michaels.”

What Happened With Bobby Lashley After Raw Went Off Air

Bobby Lashley appeared on tonight’s episode of RAW in a backstage segment with Seth Rollins.

Seth cut a promo about his victory over Matt Riddle at Clash at the Castle and claimed he had no interest in a rematch. Riddle interrupted the promo and chased Seth through the crowd.

The Judgment Day joined the party and tried to recruit Riddle to the faction but Matt declined. This led to a singles match between Finn Balor and Matt Riddle. Seth interfered and the distraction allowed Balor to hit Riddle with a slingshot DDT for the pinfall victory. After the match, The Visionary got into the ring and delivered a Stomp to Riddle.

Seth was interviewed backstage following the attack but was quickly interrupted by United States Champion Bobby Lashley. Rollins said he was the face of RAW and Lashley disagreed. Bobby claimed that having the United States Championship makes him the face of the show. Seth challenged Bobby to a match for the title and it was made official for next week’s RAW.

Bobby Lashley Retains The United States Championship After WWE RAW

United States Champion Bobby Lashley put the title on the line against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest. The finish to the match saw the champion planting Damian with a Neckbreaker in the middle of the ring.

Damian struggled to his feet and Lashley went for the Hurt Lock. Priest was able to block the submission move and caught Bobby with a boot to the face. The challenger went for a Chokeslam but Lashley escaped and connected with the Spear for the pinfall victory. You can check out the finish of the title match in the video below.

Seth Rollins is the New Mr. WrestleMania and He Knows It

Seth Rollins has developed into one of WWE’s most valuable Superstars since bursting on to the scene in 2012 as a member of The Shield. He can always be counted on to deliver a show-stealing performance, especially when it is the most needed.

Rollins was Ryan Satin’s guest on the latest episode of the Out of Character podcast for Fox Sports. Their discussion took place at SoFi Stadium, site of next year’s WrestleMania. The 5-time World Champion boasts that he’s hit “all home runs” and delivered “all bangers” on WWE’s grandest stage.

“Yeah, WrestleMania is always good for me. I’ve got great memories of it as a fan and now as a performer,” he said. “I feel like, I’d have to rack by main, but I feel like I’ve had all home runs at WrestleMania. I think, all bangers, as far as I can remember. We had a couple of real short ones with The Shield, we opened our first WrestleMania in New York, and then did a straight squash of Kane and the New Age Outlaws, which is nice to have on your resume as well, those are Hall of Famers. Other than that, I feel like it’s just been knocking it out of the park every time. So yeah, WrestleMania kind of rocks for me.”

The New Mr. WrestleMania

Satin suggested that Rollins is the current generation’s “Mr. WrestleMania,” a moniker once bestowed upon WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Those are big shoes to fill, but they’re a better fit on Rollins than anybody else.

“Yeah, there’s a lot of pressure at WrestleMania time. I think it’s one of those things, the longer you do this, I’ve been doing this I think 10 years now that I’m on the roster with WWE, the live events become lighter, there’s less pressure all around, TV becomes routine.

Even some of the bigger pay-per-views, I’ve done a lot of them, but WrestleMan is always WrestleMania. There’s something super special about it. There’s always that extra buildup and that extra pressure to steal the show or make an impact. You want to leave a moment that people will leave forever, so I’m very fortunate to be part of a few of those.”

Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania Record

Seth Rollins has competed in 10 WrestleMania matches since his debut at WrestleMania 29 back in 2013. Since then, he’s earned a record of 6 wins and 4 losses at WWE’s biggest event of the year. It’s a healthy winning record, but it’s the quality of his performances that solidify Rollins as this generation’s Mr. WrestleMania.

  • WrestleMania 29 (2013): The Shield def. Sheamus, Randy Orton & Big Show
  • WrestleMania 30 (2014): The Shield def. Kane and The New Age Outlaws
  • WrestleMania 31 (2015): Randy Orton def. Seth Rollins. Later in the night, Rollins cashed in Money in the Bank to defeat Brock Lesnar (c) and Roman Reigns to win his first WWE Championship

‘Doubled Edged Sword’: Seth Rollins Describes Experience Of Working Under Vince McMahon

Seth Rollins worked under Vince McMahon for almost ten years. According to the former world champion, working for the former WWE chairman was like a double-edged sword. You knew exactly who to go to for answers when needed but his style of working was also very stressful.

The Visionary recently appeared on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast. Among other things, he also talked about the recent WWE regime change. Commenting on his experience of working with his old boss, Seth Rollins detailed the two sides of it:

“With Vince, it was like kind of a double-edged sword. On one hand you knew exactly who to go to all the time. Every answer needed to go through Vince. That was security in that. If you needed something and you needed an answer, pronto. He was right there.” said Seth Rollins, “You knew exactly that if you got yes from him, nothing else beneath that mattered. So that was really cool.

He continued: “You could understand his vision, once you worked with him for a long enough time. You started to understand that. On the other side of that, he was very flippant. He was very all over the place. That was to his credit, part of his genius but it was also like very stressful to deal with as a talent.”

Seth Rollins Unhappy He Was Left Off This Year’s SummerSlam: “A Bit Of A Slap In The Face To Me As A Performer”

Today WWE will be invading Cardiff, Wales for their Clash at the Castle premium live event, the company’s first major show in the United Kingdom since the epic SummerSlam 1992 pay-per-view from Wembley 30 years ago.

One of the most highly-anticipated showdowns on the card will be former grand-slam champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins taking on Matt Riddle. The feud, which has been going on for nearly two months, got personal on last week’s Raw when Rollins mentioned Riddle’s real-life issues with his wife during one of his promos, a statement that enraged the Bro and added some extra heat to their encounter.

Rollins and Riddle were originally scheduled to wrestle at SummerSlam last month, but the matchup never officially happened and the two were reduced to a segment that only lasted a few minutes. Rollins spoke about this during his recent interview with Ariel Helwani, and he was quite unhappy with that evening’s booking.

Performing At A High Level

Rollins explains that over the last year he has performed at the top of his game. He had three classics with a returning Cody Rhodes, including what many have called one of the best Hell in a Cell matchups in the last decade. Prior to that Rollins put on clinics with the likes of Roman Reigns, Edge, and was ready to do the same with Riddle at SummerSlam.

“I was a little upset that we had advertised the match, and then not given that to them [the fans]. At the level I had been performing for really the last year, I felt it was a bit of a slap in the face to me as a performer that I wasn’t able to be on what is essentially the second biggest show of the year for us.”

Rollins may not have gotten the chance at SummerSlam, but it will most likely only motivate him more to steal the show at today’s Clash at the Castle.

Seth Rollins Reveals John Cena’s Advice On Shoot Segments

The backstage segment between Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle on this past Monday’s Raw took this feud to the next level. The two already had tensions brewing up for a long time and Riddle reached his breaking point when The Visionary brought up his divorce into the conversation.

The former WWE Champion spoke to Ariel Halwani ahead of his match with Riddle at Clash At The Castle. He was asked if he crossed the line by bringing up the personal issues of his opponent into the mix. Rollins claimed that it’s not the case. He then revealed what John Cena taught him about shoot segments in wrestling:

‘If It’s On Camera, It’s Fair Game’: Seth Rollins

“I mean, I don’t think so. This was something that I learned from working with John Cena. He always taught me to have a very thick skin when it came to whatever was said on camera because it’s fair game.” said Seth Rollins, “No matter what, if it’s on camera, it’s fair game. It stays out there and lives in that world. Backstage, that’s a different world. Those are two different things.

John always instilled in me, and I always feel the same way. And look, you can bring up anything you want about my personal life. I’ve got plenty of skeletons in my closet that you can talk about if you want, or things that I’m insecure about. You got to be prepared to handle that on the back end. So when you’re out there in front of a camera, I say anything goes.”
