Shawn Michaels On What Drew Him Out Of Retirement for WWE Crown Jewel

After years of being committed to his decision of not returning to the ring, Shawn Michaels finally came back for one final match at the Crown Jewel event last year.

During a recent interview with State Of Combat Podcast, the former World Champion talked about a number of things and he also revealed the most important reason he chose to do that match.

The Heart Break Kid said that the most important thing about his return was being out there with his best friend Triple H, and it’s the biggest reason he agreed to the match:

“The most important thing to me was being in there with Hunter, more than any reason at all, that is why I did it. As silly as it sounds, I am so fortunate to have the last ride with your best friend in the sunset, which is what I wanted to do with him.”

According to Michaels, he was pretty certain about this but he has always been a bit concerned about saying it out loud in fear that it was the one time he can’t.

Shawn Michaels retired from active competition after he put his career on the line against the Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI and lost the bout.

He returned to the ring for one more match at the Crown Jewel event on November 2018. He teamed up with Triple H to face the Brothers of Destruction at the show and the duo was able to defeat Undertaker and Kane in this bout.

Shawn Michaels On What They Will Try To Improve In NXT

Apart from Triple H, Shawn Michaels has also contributed to NXT significantly and the WWE Hall Of Famer has worked closely with top stars like Adam Cole to bring out the best in them.

During a recent interview with Yahoo Sports, Michaels discussed a number of things and he also talked about what changes they would make to NXT once it moves to TV.

The former World Champion said that they would continue improving on the things which are innovative and they won’t be spending a lot of time into the foundational aspects:

“We continue to try and improve on things that are innovative, things that will take NXT into the future. We don’t spend a lot of time on what has worked or the foundational aspects or values of the wrestling business as a whole.

Shawn went on to say that they try to put themselves into uncomfortable situations. He feels like it’s a good place to be in because it means they are stretching themselves.

Shawn Michaels also talked about the current NXT roster and claimed that the stars which are currently a part of the show can compete with anybody in the entire world.

He said that the wrestling business as a whole is in phenomenal time and they have felt for quite some time that they have the best talent in the world. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Adam Cole Reveals Shawn Michaels Has Been Involved With All His NXT Matches

Undisputed Era’s Adam Cole has revealed that WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has been instrumental in all of his NXT matches to date.

The NXT Champion shared the insight during a recent conversation with Lilian Garcia for her podcast, Chasing Glory. He discussed how Shawn Michaels and Michael Hayes helped to put together his TakeOver: Toronto main event before crediting Michaels with his guidance to date.

“The two gentlemen involved in producing our matches were Michael Hayes and Shawn Michaels,” Cole said. “Michael Hayes is great and brilliant. Normally he is involved with producing my matches. Shawn Michaels is involved in every one of my matches. At the Performance Center, I go and work with him directly. A bunch of us do. He is kind of like a mentor for so many of us right now at NXT, so he takes a liking and makes sure he has his hand in everything that we are doing.”

Coaching Style

Cole then extrapolated on Michaels’ coaching style, explaining how he doesn’t dictate what they should do. Instead, it becomes a somewhat collaborative process with ideas passing backwards and forwards between HBK and NXT Superstars.

“Lots of times, the best thing about Shawn Michaels is that he doesn’t tell us, ‘This is what you should do.’ He lets us come up with what we think, and he will be excited about the stuff that we are coming up with,” Adam said. “But randomly, if we are stumped on something and we think something is cool but aren’t crazy about it, in a matter of five-seconds, he would give us an idea and it’s amazing and so much better. It’s awesome to have those two to pick their brains. They played a big part in what we created in our match for sure.”

Adam Cole recently retained his NXT Championship against Johnny Gargano in a Two-Out-Three-Falls matchup at NXT TakeOver: Toronto.

AJ Styles Discusses Shawn Michaels Turning Down Match With Him

WWE United States Champion AJ Styles talked about WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels turning down a match with him while speaking with Cathy Kelly on WWE Now.

Styles would talk about how he would’ve loved to have shared the ring with Michaels but wasn’t sure why fans compare the two stars. He would like to think it’s because there are so many great matches that Michaels and himself have put on in their careers.

“I asked Shawn and he said ‘No.’ Well That’s on Shawn, guys. I can’t do anything about that. I would love to opportunity to do that match.”

Styles continued by noting that he understands why Michaels didn’t want to do the match because he was retired and didn’t want to work a match.

He pointed out that Michaels came out of retirement years later but understands why he did one match and then went back to retirement. Styles added that he wants to stay retired after calling it a career.

Styles teased a match in 2016 with Michaels at the Royal Rumble PPV the following year, which got everyone talking about a possible match between the two stars. However, it didn’t happen.

Styles later revealed that the match had been pitched for WrestleMania 33. This came up when WWE needed to find Styles an opponent, which led to the idea of having Styles wrestle Michaels at WrestleMania.

Dolph Ziggler Targets Match Against Another WWE Legend After Goldberg

Dolph Ziggler recently did an interview where he called out another WWE legend.

This interview was done before he stepped into the ring to take on WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg at SummerSlam. While speaking with Wrestling Inc’s Nick Hausman, Ziggler noted that he would like to wrestle fellow WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels in the near future.

“I feel like once I get rid of Goldberg, I’m really kinda looking at Shawn Michaels, but, man, if anything happened there, I would try and make it happen,” Ziggler said. “I would love to see if Shawn Michaels could hang with me.

Ziggler continued by noting that one day he wants to test himself against Matt Riddle to see if he can hang with him in the ring. He mentioned that he wishes him good luck doing everything he can because it’s not easy to get to the WWE roster.

Ziggler continued by noting that he’s not really friends with the ‘Attitude Era’ guys and brought up doing segments and matches with them.

He doesn’t think Michaels acts the way he used to act when he would tell people ‘follow that.’ He brought up HBK super kicking him last week on RAW.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion added that he would love to see if Michaels could hang with him in the ring because he doesn’t think Michaels can. He closed out the question by noting that he would come out on top.

“If I had to pick a favorite Raw moment, and that’s very tough to do, it would be Hunter and I with and Chyna when we were wearing the Christmas thongs.

That sticks out to me because it had absolutely nothing to do with wrestling and it was so unbelievably silly. But it was our job that day, we actually called that ‘work.’ That’s still funny to me. It’s not something many people could say they do at work.”

Shawn Michaels On If Bret Hart Was His Greatest Opponent

Two-time Hall of Famer and WWE Legend, Shawn Michaels was recently a guest on the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast. Michaels discussed various topics and spoke at length about his first views of the NXT performance center and on an interesting note, HBK also answered a question about Bret Hart when asked if Hart was his greatest opponent ever.

The Hall Of Famer stated that everyone could be certain of that on paper and Hart and he knew that they had something special the first time they got in the ring together, even though it was a tag team match.

As per Michaels, It was one of those things that you do and it only takes a couple of touches of one another to know that there is something special here.

The former WWE Champion said that he knew he had instant chemistry with Bret Hart which would only get better with time. Continuing on the topic, He claimed that he was lucky to have similar chemistry with Chris Jericho and a handful of other Superstars.

Finally, he stated that the ability of Bret Hart and his own capability, along with their chemistry was certainly a tough combination to beat.

Shawn Michaels On Other Wrestlers Using Superkick

During a recent interview with Challenge Mania, the former World Champion talked about his experience at the Performance Center, what advice he gives to young talents and more.

The Superkick is a move Michaels used very prominently during his career and since then a number of superstars have adopted it and made it part of their move set.

And while others seem to be bothered by the fact, Shawn who used it as his finisher, thinks that it’s sweet and he claimed that seeing it all over the place makes him smile.

He explained his comments saying that people can deny all his contributions to the wrestling business but seeing his move being used is kind of endearing.

Shawn also revealed advice he gives to younger talents saying that he always tells younger NXT performers that he was never shy to steal an idea from anybody.

He then revealed that he used to take feedback from other wrestlers on the card and said that a good idea is a good idea and it doesn’t really matter where it came from, as long as you take it and make it your own.

Shawn Michaels Compares WWE Crown Jewel To Glorified House Show

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels made some interesting comments when he made an appearance on the ‘Challenge Mania’ podcast. This is where he talked about his experience with his latest and likely last pro wrestling match.

“No, there are no regrets. So again, honestly, and no one will ever believe me but I’ll tell you anyway, but honestly, again, it’s not a WrestleMania, it’s not a this… to me it wasn’t coming back as the Heartbreak Kid. It was a tag match. I know that’s not the same and I know nobody will understand it, but in my mind, it was like a glorified house show live event.” Michaels said. “I don’t mean that to be intellectually insulting to the wrestling fan but in my mind, it was not the same. I got asked. It was almost like, as a favor.”

HBK stated that he did the tag team match as he felt like it was a totally separate entity than the other, which is why he felt okay doing it. He noted that it was done with the intent of it being a nice little fun thing to do but admitted that it didn’t turn out to be all that fun as he thought it was okay and just one of those things you have to do if you’re a company man.

He teamed up with Triple H to beat The Undertaker and Kane in a tag team match at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2, 2018, at King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This match ended up being the main event of this show.

It marked the first time that Michaels had wrestled a match since losing a retirement match to Taker at WrestleMania 26 in 2010.

Ric Flair Issues An Apology To Shawn Michaels

Following a health scare which caused him to miss Starrcast II last month, Ric Flair released several videos on his official YouTube account. A recently deleted video took aim at his former manager and a previous video made negative comments about Shawn Michaels.

Flair took the time to apologize to Michaels today in a newly released video from his Twitter account:

“I want to take one moment to apologize to Shawn Michaels,” Flair said. “Shawn, I got excited, I was upset about some stuff, I took it out on you. I apologize. You and Ricky Steamboat will forever be the greatest wrestlers I’ve ever been in the ring with. Leave it at that.”

Ric Flair Comments on Shawn Michaels

Flair was recently upset over comments Michaels made on a 30 for 30 documentary dedicated to the Nature Boy.

“Ric doesn’t love Richard Fliehr,” HBK said in the film. “I don’t know that (Ric’s) ever taken the time to get to know him or to find out who in the world he is.”

Flair responded in a video published on May 31st.

“Shawn Michaels, I’m sorry but you’re not in a position to judge me,” Flair said in the video. “Telling me I’ll never know who Richard Fliehr is, really?”

“Richard Fliehr – like I said before was an irresponsible kid who was blessed with the greatest parents in the world, did everything wrong,” Flair continued. “By the way, who are you to judge me? I mean, really? Come on man, let’s get serious. You’ve opened the door, so I’m giving it back to you. Who are you to judge me? I mean, are you kidding me?”

Ric On Charlotte Flair

Flair sent out another video with 2 important messages: Charlotte Flair is the greatest female wrestler in the history of wrestling and also that tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Ric Flair Calls Out Shawn Michaels For “30 For 30” Comments

Ric Flair has released another video today and this one calls out Shawn Michaels for comments HBK made about Flair on the 30 for 30 documentary dedicated to the Nature Boy.

“Shawn Michaels, I’m sorry but you’re not in a position to judge me,” Flair said in the video. “Telling me I’ll never know who Richard Fliehr is, really?”

HBK made comments on the documentary that Ric Flair does not know who Richard Fliehr is.

“You idolized me and then all of a sudden, contempt? For what?” Flair asks HBK in the video. “For what you grew up loving and for what inspired you to be who you are?”

Shawn Michaels’ Comments About Ric Flair

HBK had the following to say regarding Flair on the 30 for 30 documentary.

“Ric doesn’t love Richard Fliehr,” HBK said in the film. “I don’t know that (Ric’s) ever taken the time to get to know him or to find out who in the world he is.”

Ric Flair Responds To Jim Ross’ Comments From The Film

Flair also responded to Jim Ross comments from the 2017 documentary. In the case of JR, however, Flair was more understanding of the comments made.

“I will never, ever be able to thank you, Jim Ross, for what you said on my 30 for 30, as mad as I was at you for saying it, because it’s the truth! I was irresponsible, I did have tax problems. One thing you’re wrong about, I never went upstairs alone!”

Drew McIntyre Thanks Two WWE Hall Of Famers For Helping His Career

Drew McIntyre has continued to assert his dominance amongst RAW’s top Superstars ever since his return to WWE, firmly establishing himself as a main event player for the promotion. It’s a far cry from his initial “Chosen One” run that eventually ended with him as a part of joke act, 3MB.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, McIntyre thanked two Superstars in particular for helping him to refocus and rededicate himself to wrestling, admitting that he lost himself to going out and partying. Those two Superstars are Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels.

“I don’t know why, but Kurt chose to work with me for one of his final matches in TNA, but he made me look like a million bucks,” said McIntyre. “Then, a few years later in WWE, he made me look like an absolute killer. I humiliated Kurt and made him tap out to his own ankle lock. I can never thank Kurt enough for what he has done and continues to do for me.”

Earning A PhD In Wrestling

When McIntyre returned to WWE in 2017, his contract did not state that he needed to perform extra NXT shows or attend the mandatory skills classes at the WWE Performance Center like other NXT talent. But he did so, regardless, in an effort to further hone his craft and improve as a Superstar.

Shawn Michaels was more than happy to help him with his journey.

“I wanted to be there and I wanted to improve,” said McIntyre. “So I went to Shawn and asked if I could join his class. I would have done anything to get that one-on-one time with him.”

He confessed that “The first rule of Shawn’s class is that you don’t talk about Shawn’s class. But what I can tell you is it is an environment where everyone pushes each other very hard and you do receive honest criticism. No one has the mind that Shawn does in the ring. I looked at that period of time as getting my PhD in wrestling.”

Championship Opportunity

This commitment has seen him rise through RAW’s rankings. McIntyre is one of the competitors fighting for a championship opportunity this Sunday at Money In The Bank during the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

“I’ve never had a world title shot, ever, in my WWE career, so I’m going to need to win the ‘Money in the Bank’ contract to take that opportunity,” said McIntyre. “In order to spread my message of eradicating complacency to the superstars complaining on social media, I need to become champion.”

Money In The Bank takes place this Sunday, June 19th from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

A&E & WWE Partner To Produce Biographies On 5 Legends

WWE and A&E have announced a new partnership today. The television station and WWE Studios will collaborate on 5 separate 2-hour biographical documentaries to air on A&E.

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Booker T, and Shawn Michaels will be the subject of the biographies.

“We are thrilled for the tremendous opportunity to partner with WWE Studios to produce these special films that honor some of the most impactful personalities who have left a lasting imprint on pop culture,” stated the Executive VP and head of programming for the A&E Network Elaine Frontain Bryant.

WWE Studios issued a statement as well.

“This project further solidifies WWE Studios’ commitment to deliver new programming across genres and platforms,” said senior VP and head of WWE Studios Susan Levison.

WWE & A&E Biographies

A&E’s biography series has been running since the early 1960s and has been a flagship show for the station. They have previously produced documentaries on the Rock and Andre the Giant as well.

Kevin Dunn, Chris Kaiser, and Richard Lowell will serve as Executive Producers on the project.

Vice is also producing a series of wrestling-related documentaries. “The Dark Side of the Ring” 6-part series will begin airing later this month.

Shawn Michaels Discusses Becoming Two-Time WWE Hall Of Famer, Chyna

Shawn Michaels recently did an interview with Comicbook.com where he talked about D-Generation X (Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) being inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame class.

HBK made it known that if it were up to him, Chyna would be going into the Hall of Fame for her solo career as well.

“I mean not that I get a vote, but if I did I certainly would vote for her. That’s obviously up to people a lot more powerful than me to make those decisions, but yes, do I think she’s deserving of it? You bet, any day of the week and twice on Sunday. If this is a gateway to that, or opens the door to that, you certainly wouldn’t get any argument out of me, that’s for sure.”

This year’s ceremony will take place on April 6, 2019 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, which is the same weekend as WrestleMania 35.

Michaels was also asked about becoming a two-time Hall of Famer next month as he was inducted for his solo career in 2011.

“And of course, it never hurts to be one of (four) guys that are two time Hall of Famers, but that’s … again, this stuff has been exciting for me since about 1993, when I did far better than I was ever supposed to do,” he added. “It really started to get a lot of fun, and when we came back in 2002 and had a second chance, from that point on everything’s just been a blast.”

Shawn Michaels Says There Was An ‘Out Clause’ In Undertaker Retirement Storyline

Back in 2010, Shawn Michaels made his WWE exit after losing a Streak vs. Career match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26. The pair had a rematch of what was one of the best WWE matches of all time at WrestleMania 25 the year before. However, in their rematch at the University Of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Michaels’ career was on the line if he lost.

Of course, at the time, The Undertaker still had his undefeated WrestleMania streak to worry about. Unfortunately for “HBK”, he was once against bested by “The Deadman” at “The Showcase Of The Immortals”. Michaels would wrestle his last match for a decade that night. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Michaels revealed that he wasn’t sure about his retirement until after the match was actually over.

Michaels apparently had an “out clause” for the storyline that would allow him to return to the ring if he changed his mind:

“I don’t know that I ever completely decided that it was going to be it [for my career] until after that match was over. We had always sort of discussed sort of an ‘out clause,’ so to speak, if I had the desire to do it again.

“But I can remember myself, and ‘Taker, and Michaels Hayes just sitting there after the match, like we had done the year before, just the three of us, sort of sitting there, alone, taking it in, and I said, ‘You know something, guys? I feel good with that.’”

What do you think about Michaels having an “out clause” in his retirement storyline with The Undertaker?

Sting, Shawn Michaels Among Stars Appear For Ric Flair’s Birthday Celebration

WWE held a birthday celebration for WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair on Monday’s episode of RAW in Atlanta, GA at the State Farm Arena.

There were several notable names that made an appearance on this show for the segment. Those names include Shawn Michaels, Sting, Ricky Steamboat, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kurt Angle, and Batista.

It all started with McMahon and Triple H walking out to the ring that had a cake and balloons where they would introduce guests as well as Flair. A video package aired to show some of the biggest moments from his legendary career in the pro wrestling business.

They also created a custom World Title Belt. Just as Flair was about to walk out to the ring for his celebration, we see Batista dragging a cameraman to the locker room of Flair and he pulled out the pro wrestling legendary who had been attacked. He asked Triple H if he got his attention and then left. This closed the show.

Flair was last seen on WWE television when he appeared on the SmackDown 1000th episode for an Evolution appearance back a few months back alongside Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista.

It’s always great to see “The Nature Boy” considering the major health issues that he suffered in August 2017. The most serious complications were kidney failure, necessitating dialysis treatment and ongoing hospitalization. Flair had surgery in Georgia to remove an obstructive piece of his bowel back in December.

Shawn Michaels Teases RAW Appearance Tonight

WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels could be stopping by for tonight’s (Mon. February 25, 2019) episode of Monday Night RAW. Ric Flair will be holding his 70th Birthday Celebration segment during the program. Michaels took to Twitter to respond to a Tweet from WWE hyping tonight’s segment. He teased he could be stopping by to help celebrate with “The Nature Boy”:

Michaels has been in the United Kingdom over the weekend for WWE’s NXT UK TV tapings. Perhaps “The Heartbreak Kid” will stop by the State Farm Arena in Atlanta to celebrate with the man he retired from WWE at WrestleMania 24 in 2008.

It has been speculated that tonight’s Birthday Celebration for Flair will be used to progress the storyline between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. Vince McMahon suspended Lynch until after WrestleMania 35 in April. He then replaced the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble winner with Charlotte Flair. As it stands, “The Queen” will face Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Title at MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, New Jersey on April 7, 2019.

The overall consensus is the bout will wind up being a Triple Threat bout between Rousey, Lynch, and Flair. It’s also expected to be the first women’s match to ever headline a WrestleMania.

Do you think Michaels will appear on tonight’s Monday Night RAW?

Elias Tells WWE Legends To “Get Out”

With D-Generation X being announced for WWE’s Hall Of Fame Class of 2019 and The Undertaker now taking appearance bookings outside the company, it appears that these legendary Superstars may finally be embracing the end of in-ring competition.

For one current RAW Superstar, it’s about time.

Elias, speaking to BBC Sounds’ Headliners show, discussed how the time of these established legends is done. He would put a fine point on his thoughts, stating that it was time for them to “Get out” in order to make space for the next generation, namely himself.

“Get Out Of Here, Man. Get Out!”

“There was a time when I respected The Undertaker, I respected Shawn Michaels, I respected Triple H, and now they just hang around,” Elias said. “They keep having these matches with each other. I just want them gone, so, any respect I did have for these guys is out the window.”

“The whole thing, The Brothers of Destruction, DX, any of that stuff, that was an Attitude Era thing. But you’re looking at the guy right now, so, step aside and it’s Elias’ time. Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Triple H, Kane, get out of here, man. Get out!”

The interview took place around the time for WWE’s controversial Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia. Despite this fact, it’s probably an opinion Elias still considers true.

Do you agree with Elias’ sentiments? Can you see Elias in the main event spot?

D-Generation X To Be Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame, Chyna Included

Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn and X-Pac will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. All 6 will be inducted as members of the legendary DX faction. Two versions will be celebrated, the original and the “DX Army” version.

ESPN broke the story earlier today.

“I think it’s the most meaningful for us all to go in together and to be recognized together,” Tripe H told ESPN. “Because I think both groups were [just] as impactful.”

Triple H would continue to tell ESPN about how the faction formed.

“It’s a funny thing, because DX was something that, before Kevin [Nash] and Scott [Hall] left, at the time we all talked about using ‘The Kliq’ as it was — kind of morphing that into television, since it was so out there anyways,” said Levesque. “But things worked out the way they did — they left, and the timing was right.”

He mentioned Chyna’s involvement in the faction to ESPN as well.

“Shawn and I still wanted to do it. Vince saw the value in it, I guess, and finally let us go at it,” Levesque continued. “By that point in time I was looking for a heater, and we had brought Chyna.”

Triple H Says Chyna Deserves To Be In The WWE Hall of Fame

Triple H also stated his belief Chyna deserves to be in the Hall of Fame and addressed previous statements he made on the matter.

“Look, people believe what they want to believe. When I said a few years ago on the Austin podcast, or show, or whatever you want to call it, there’s complexities around it,” said Triple H. “But absolutely, definitely deserves to be in there. It’d be tough to pick a female that was more impactful on the business. She did something that was completely so out of left field that it wasn’t even being considered when we first brought it up for her to come in. It wasn’t even a consideration… it wasn’t an easy thing, and against all odds she did all of that.”

He even continued to say Chyna likely should go into the Hall of Fame as an individual as well.

“From that standpoint, absolutely 100 percent deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, and should probably be more than once — as a group, but individually as well,” Levesque continued. “There’s more complexity to that than meets the eye, but here we are. I’m just happy that it’s here. I’m happy for her family, the people that she was close to, that hopefully this is super meaningful to them. I know it would be to her. It’s a great thing — very deserving.”

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels has had a storied career in the professional industry and will go down as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Now, that his in-ring career is over, he has set his sights on teaching young wrestlers in the WWE NXT system.

While doing a media scrum including with VultureHound at the unveiling of the UK WWE Performance Center last weekend, HBK talked about various topics including the advice that gives to the younger talent while teaching them as he’s a PC coach.

“People say all this nice stuff about me, I’m a legend and an icon and all this, I was just a dude out there living my dream, and a lot of it was just really me going out there and somehow that seemed to make a difference.”

Michaels tells them don’t be afraid to give a little or a lot of yourself out there because fans seem to notice the difference when someone’s yanking your chain or when someone’s sincerely going out there and giving their all for you.

“So don’t be afraid to forego the show part and show them who you really are, because, as I said, fans seem to notice, which I think is cool.”

Shawn Michaels Addresses In Ring Future

January is generally the time when the talk about WrestleMania picks up the pace and people have already started discussing what featured matches can we see at the Pay Per View event this year.

Names like the Undertaker and Triple H are always a point of discussion, and after his match at the Crown Jewel PPV, Shawn Michaels has joined the list of stars who are speculated to be a part of the WrestleMania match card this time.

However, during a recent interaction with Sky Sports, Shawn provided some update on his in-ring future and implied that the Crown Jewel return was a one-time thing.

Michaels was asked if we’ll see him in the ring in 2019. Answering it, the Hall Of Famer first joked about being forced to wrestle at the show last year and went on to claim that he no longer wants to do it:

“They forced me. No, it was a really special thing, and I really felt that one for a while. I’m good with what I’ve done. I no longer want to do it anymore.”

This interview would not stop people from speculating about Michaels’ future. Though considering his repeated comments about not wrestling again, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Crown Jewel match was actually Shawn Michaels’ last bout.

Shawn Michaels Has High Praise For WWE NXT UK Star

WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels has been doing quite a bit of work with NXT as of late. “The Heartbreak Kid” has served as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. He also regularly helps produce NXT programming. Recently, “HBK” spoke to international media to help promote WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool. Throughout his time working with NXT, Michaels has gotten a first-hand look at WWE’s future stars.

In his comments, Michaels had quite a bit of praise for WWE NXT UK star Jordan Devlin. Michaels said that Devlin is oozing confidence at the moment, and is really getting into a groove:

“One guy who I didn’t know, or hadn’t seen was Jordan Devlin,” Michaels said. “He was good when he came in, but now he is really starting to feel it. [Jordan] is oozing confidence.

“And I hate to pinpoint one person, but I have seen him grow exponentially He is a real talented kid, and his ceiling is pretty darn high.”

Michaels went on to talk about what it has been like helping the young WWE talent in NXT. While he enjoyed being front-and-center on camera during his heyday, Michaels truly enjoys helping these young men and women blossom into big stars in the industry:

“As much as I loved being in front of the camera and having my moments, I have found watching these men and women have their’s is almost like watching your kids,” Michaels said.

“Seeing the joy on their face when they come back. It’s impossible to work with someone so much and not get attached to them. And we want that for these young guys, and we want to build these facilities who allow them to do that.”
