Triple H Talks About The Success Of WWE’s Irish Superstars

WWE COO Triple H was recently interviewed by Dublin, Ireland’s 98FM and spoke very highly of Irish Superstars Sheamus and Becky Lynch.

The Game said both athletes have amazing work ethic. He doesn’t know if it’s a Dublin thing, but they’re both hard workers and that’s what it takes to climb the ranks in WWE.

He’s known Sheamus for a long time and says the Celtic Warrior is like a sponge for the business – constantly learning. Regarding Becky Lynch, he said,

“Becky, from the time I met her and we brought her into the Performance Center, through her time at NXT. Her rate of change and how she’s grown as a performer and a character, just captivated the crowd [with] her energy. I always say Becky’s energy is infectious. You can’t talk to her more than 5 minutes without feeling hyped up and jazzed up. I think that’s what works for her, is her personality.”

NXT heads to Dublin next month as part of the brand’d upcoming UK tour.

Video: Sheamus Gives Conan O’Brien A Mohawk

Sheamus returned to Conan O’Brien’s late night TBS show on Thursday to hype WrestleMania 32. Conan complimented Sheamus’ mohawk and his braided bears. Sheamus said he’s always wanted to have the tallest hair in showbusiness.

Conan asked how the WWE Universe reacted to this look. As we know, fans completely rejected it and he’s regularly met with “You look stupid” chants.

They recapped the storyline when Sheamus made Dolph Ziggler kiss his arse. Sheamus joked that he’s always tried to be innovative with his offense. He did it because he likes humiliating his opponents and it was a chance to show his arse on live television.

Conan asked Sheamus about the time he pelted his opponent with potatoes. Sheamus recalled that Celtic Street Fight with Damien Sandow and Conan said he’s also thrown potatoes at people.

To finish the segment, they had a “Hawk Off” with Sheamus ‘giving Conan a mohawk.’

Vince McMahon To Special Referee Reigns vs. Sheamus Title Match On RAW Next Week

Following a wild opening segment that saw Vince McMahon get arrested for losing his cool with one of the police officers in the ring, the WWE Chairman managed to make bail and return in time to get the last laugh as the last RAW episode of 2015 faded to black on Monday night.

McMahon came out after a post-match angle in the RAW main event between the returning John Cena and WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio to announce a rematch between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and former champion Sheamus on next week’s RAW.

To make matters worse for Reigns, McMahon also announced that he will be serving as the special guest referee for their title showdown on what will be the first episode of WWE RAW in 2016. The show takes place next week from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Rusev Responds To Lesnar Beatdown, Sheamus Injury Note

https://youtu.be/LnABmWEJPaI

– On Saturday night, Brock Lesnar made a rare live event appearance, taking on Alberto Del Rio in Inglewood, California. The match ended by disqualification when Rusev interfered and attacked Lesnar. It didn’t take long for Lesnar to fight back and throw both men around the ring with German suplexes and F5’s.

Rusev tweeted the following after the incident:

– It appears that Sheamus may have been injured at Sunday afternoon’s WWE live event from Winnipeg. After Roman Reigns successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight champion against Sheamus, the referee threw up the “X” symbol for Sheamus. During Reigns’ post-match celebration, Sheamus was helped to the back and appeared to be limping.

Sheamus Says Certain Boxing & UFC Stars Couldn’t Handle WWE’s Schedule

Sheamus appeared on Baltimore’s 98 Rock radio station on Monday, prior to losing the WWE World Heavyweight championship to Roman Reigns on RAW.

After wrestling in a very physical match against Roman Reigns on Sunday night at TLC, Sheamus was back in action less than 24 hours later. The hosts were impressed with WWE superstars’ ability to work such a vigorous schedule. Sheamus said simply, “it’s just what we do” and took a jab at “certain boxers and certain UFC fighters” who only fight once every six months. When you’re at the top of the food chain like he is [was], you put your body on the line and then do it again the next day in a different city.

He also talked about his run as King Sheamus, noting that he went out and bought a lot of the costume himself when he saw what WWE initially wanted him to wear. He was going for a “Lord of the Rings meets Rocky Horror Picture Show” look and is proud of what he came up with.

Roman Reigns Wins WWE World Heavyweight Title (Video)

After being screwed once again at the WWE TLC pay-per-view on Sunday night, Roman Reigns received one final chance to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion on Monday night.

Thankfully, that’s all it took, or he’d be out of a job right now.

Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus on Monday night’s post-TLC edition of RAW in a match made by Vince McMahon that included a stipulation that would see Reigns “fired” from WWE if he lost.

McMahon made his return on RAW, interrupting a live match between R-Truth and Bo Dallas and simply telling them to get out of his ring. He then proceeded to address the Reigns attack of his son-in-law, Triple H, at TLC.

It was at this point that fans got to see some vintage “Mr. McMahon,” and it eventually led to Reigns coming to the ring and the two having a bit of an old Austin-McMahon type of RAW segment. Eventually, Reigns punked McMahon with old age jokes until he agreed to give him a title shot tonight.

Sheamus On Forming The League Of Nations, Becky Lynch’s Future & More

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus recently spoke with Mike Jones of DC 101 about the TLC pay-per-view, Becky Lynch’s future in WWE, forming the League Of Nations faction and more. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On putting it all on the line at TLC:

“It’s the most important prize in WWE, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. You’ll do anything and everything to keep it and to get it and that includes putting your body on the line and doing whatever it takes. That’s what happened last night, I did whatever it took to walk away champ.”

On Becky Lynch’s future in WWE:

“She’s a bit lost there with Charlotte because they’re mates but trust me, I’ll have a word with Becky to toughen her up, that she has to stand up for herself. Becky Lynch is a future WWE Divas Champion, there’s no doubt about it. She’s been wrestling for years, she’s got great passion, great technique, she’s a great technical wrestler, and she’s tough as nails as well.”

On forming the League of Nations:

“There’s a lot of heavyweights in there, in terms of gold and honor, and we all share the same interests. We’re tired of fighting against each other when we should have been fighting together.”

On why Roman Reigns didn’t see the Money In The Bank cash in coming when he won the title:

“Everything around you just disappears. The crowd disappears and all you focus on is that one thing. You set yourself a goal and keep going for it, you don’t reach it, you don’t reach it, and you finally do. Everything else becomes invisible, and he was lost in the moment.”

First Look At Sheamus In TMNT (Photo), New Movie Franchise For The Rock?

Jim Ross Blog: Bray Wyatt As A Babyface, Reigns & Sheamus’ RAW Segment & More

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross updated his official blog at JRsBarBQ.com for the second time this week with his thoughts on Monday’s RAW, including the much-talked-about Roman Reigns and Sheamus segment, his thoughts on Bray Wyatt’s potential as a babyface and more. Below are some of the highlights.

On Roman Reigns & Sheamus’ performance on RAW:

“Like the fact that WWE is trying to create a faction with Sheamus and company. Whether it works or not is TBD but hopefully the four talents involved are contributing to the presentation. If they aren’t and it fails then they need to look in the mirror.

Roman Reigns will advance faster up the ladder and with a stronger foundation if more of the Roman TV persona is presented naturally and not so scripted or produced. For Roman to be put in a position to carry a long in ring promo isn’t fair to him or his fans. Always play to the talents’ strengths and long oratory isn’t one of Reigns strengths just yet.

Might just be me but do most fans think the ‘Tater Tot’ line is funny? It was cute the first time that I heard it on RAW and then it got old in a hurry.”

On Bray Wyatt’s babyface tease:

“Loved it when the Wyatts came out to confront Sheamus’ crew. Did you feel the buzz when fans thought Bray Wyatt was going to turn into a long awaited, character baby face? He’s money in that role MO but has minimal, villain steam as he hasn’t won any big bouts in recent memory.

Talents that are NOT over do not get over by losing consistently. It’s simple human nature, folks.”
