WWE has announced that Sin Cara (Azul) will face Sin Cara (Negro) in a Mask vs. Mask Match at Sunday’s SmackDown taping in Mexico City, Mexico.

— Scott Hall trended Saturday night on Yahoo.com (behind NCAA football, The Big Year and Hayden Panettiere) after news surfaced that the former WWE Superstar’s struggles with alcoholism and drug addiction would be profiled on next Wednesday’s episode of E:60 on ESPN.

Muppets-RAW News, Linda Targeting Women, JR-King & More

Hornswoggle's new Muppets Tattoo (click to enlarge)

– With Disney’s The Muppets set to guest star on the October 31st Halloween edition of WWE RAW, the creative team has been working on the script for that show this week.

As if WWE’s resident muppet Hornswoggle wasn’t already going to be featured on the show, his new Muppets tattoo virtually makes him a lock for the Halloween RAW.

– The Associated Press is reporting that Linda McMahon is looking to better engage women in her 2012 Senate bid. Exit polling data in 2010 showed that 42% of female voters were less likely to vote for McMahon because of her association with WWE because of WWE’s portrayal of women and violence.

As with her last campaign, Linda is also looking to distance herself from WWE.

– The recent Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara match at WWE’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view got overwhelmingly negative feedback by fans here on SEScoops.com – and WWE officials were also unhappy with the match, namely, how WWE’s agents/producers booked the match. While most would assume that two luchador wrestlers would stick to the style they know best (lucha!), many were expecting more of a grudge match-style fight, due to the nature of the HIAC event.

– WWE officials were disappointed at how the crowd reacted towards some of the bigger stars participating in the walkout angle, and the fact that two of the people the crowd reacted to the most were Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. You know it’s a bad sign when your announcers are more over than most of the wrestlers on your roster.

– Felipe Barerra, a Texas high school football coach, received a one-week suspension after being caught doing a DX crotch chop to the opposing team as his team was celebrating their win this week.

New Trademarks For R-Truth & Sin Cara, Rock Training Hard

– WWE recently filed for several new trademarks. The first is for the phrase, “Suntan Super Man” – which was R-Truth’s nickname back in TNA. With R-Truth’s “Little Jimmy” gimmick (a Vince McMahon creation) getting over this year and his recent alignment with former WWE champion The Miz, it appears Truth will remain one of the top featured performers on WWE television in the coming months.

The other trademarks filed are for Sin Cara- namely, his masks. WWE just secured trademarks for black, white and gold Sin Cara masks, so either the original Sin Cara is getting new masks or we could see even more Sin Caras in WWE.

– The Rock is training hard for his WWE return match at Survivor Series – his first match since WrestleMania 20 (which also took place from MSG). Rock posted the following photo of himself delivering a Rock Bottom to some unknown jabronie with the caption:

“Training for Survivor Series. Boots To Motherf*****n Asses. #TeamBringIt”

Check out the height on this Rock Bottom!

Pictures Of Sin Cara’s New Black Mask & Ring Gear

After debating as to whether to feature a Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara match at Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, WWE made the match official by announcing it at Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings from St. Louis.

CM Punk Pays Tribute To Eddie Guerrero, Daniel Bryan Frustrated

— Following his victory over Alberto Del Rio at Saturday night’s Raw live event in El Paso, Texas, CM Punk paid tribute to the late Eddie Guerrero

Punk spoke on the microphone and said that when he thinks of El Paso, he thinks of Eddie Guerrero. He feels that even though Eddie is gone, if the people who were touched by him spread his legacy, then he will continue to live. He then blew a kiss to the arena ceiling in memory of Guerrero. Fans chanted “Eddie” with Punk to conclude the show.

Vickie Guerrero appeared at the event seeing as though it took place in her hometown. She accompanied Dolph Ziggler for his United States Championship Match against John Morrison and was jeered. A small “Eddie” chant broke out during the match.

— After losing on SmackDown, Daniel Bryan was left frustrated over Sin Cara shenanigans and not having won many matches since Money in the Bank. He vents his frustrations in the following video.

Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara News & Early WM28 Plans For Cara

Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara

On Monday’s RAW, we once again saw two Sin Cara’s doing battle. To recap – the man formerly known as Mistico in Mexico was the original Sin Cara .. He got suspended for 30 days due to a violation of WWE’s Wellness violation, and WWE brought in developmental wrestler Hunico to play Sin Cara while Mistico was out of action. Once Mistico’s suspension came up, WWE brought him back and now we have two Sin Caras.

For those who are trying to tell the two apart, Mistico was the first Sin Cara out on Monday. You can tell the two apart because the original Sin Cara (Mistico) has the blonde hair sticking out from under his mask while Hunico has a scar on his stomach.

WWE is advertising a Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara match at the Mexico City Smackdown TV taping on October 16 – and it appears we will be seeing two Sin Caras on WWE television for quite a while. One of the reasons WWE is doing a Cara vs. Cara feud is because the company’s top masked star, Rey Mysterio, is out with an injury and the company wants more than one masked wrestler on the roster heading into the upcoming Mexican tour.

Additionally, we reported a few months ago that WWE wants to break the Guiness World Record for the “most masks in one place” – and hope to break the record at WrestleMania 28. Whether it’s Rey Mysterio vs. Sin Cara or Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara, WWE management has a vision of the WrestleMania audience all wearing masks during the Sin Cara match at next year’s big show.

Rosa Mendes Responds To Her Haters, Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara Feud

— Infrequently seen SmackDown Diva Rosa Mendes was besieged with negative messages on Twitter after disparaging the ‘Rookie Divas’ of WWE during a recent outburst—A.J. (“looks 12 with a crater face”), Aksana (“looks like she is 40”), Kaitlyn (“looks like she needs to go on Jenny Craig”) and Maxine (“You know the new girl on NXT, with the huge overbite. Lol”). She wrote in response to her critics, “To all my haters, If I had a dollar for every time you have called me a derogatory word I would have enough money to donate to you so you can move out of your trailers. Hahahaha. Go on a diet, fix your teeth, and get a life.

She also mocked a fan with a WWE username who wrote in his profile that he is a doctor who graduated from Harvard: “You must not be too good of a Doctor if your here insulting me, oh that’s right, you have your PHD in WWE! Atta boy! Xo”

— On Friday’s SmackDown, Sin Cara lost to Daniel Bryan by disqualification when he wouldn’t stop his assault of the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. A second Sin Cara emerged and confronted his impostor; the two had a staredown.

The cover of the latest issue of Super Luchas features a comic style drawing of the dual Sin Caras preparing to fight, with the headline reading “Dos Místicos, Un Sin Cara.”

WWE Not Interested In Rima Fakih, Sin Cara Speaks Out, More

— Many people speculated that Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih, who participated in Tough Enough and guest-hosted an episode of Monday Night Raw last November, would have a WWE contract waiting for her if she opted for a professional wrestling career. She, however, says that’s not the case.

Fakih was asked yesterday on Twitter when she would be going to WWE and replied, “WWE doesn’t seem interested in me maybe @TNA or mud wrestling might be LOL.”

— Sin Cara spoke to Nexos Latinos for a brief interview regarding his wrestling background and training regime. When asked why he wears a mask, he replied, “The mask adds a certain mystique to my image. It makes people wonder who I really am and gives additional interest to Mistico.” He adds that it’s difficult for him to see through the mask since he can’t see half the time.

The interview, which is in Spanish, can be accessed here.

— Tickets for WWE’s Raw live event on December 29, 2011 at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. go on sale September 24 via Ticketmaster.

Latest On Leavine’s Suspension, Chavo Classic Knocks Sin Cara

— It was reported two weeks ago that Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine, who is currently training in Florida Championship Wrestling, was suspended for 30 days due to a violation of WWE’s Talent Wellness Program. WWE, however, never publicly announced the suspension. The latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculates that it could be due to Leavine being considered a developmental wrestler and not a main roster talent.

— Chavo Guerrero, Sr. (a/k/a Chavo Classic) knocked WWE’s attempt to market Sin Cara. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion wrote the following on Twitter (in Spanish): “Whoever hired Sin Cara does not know the Hispanic market.”

Jericho Takes Another Shot At Punk, Hunico Works RAW & More

Last week, when CM Punk and Steve Austin were going back and forth talking trash on Twitter, Jericho wrote:

“It’s so cute reading @CMPunk and @steveaustinBSR ‘s lil cyber bitch-fights…”

It appears the seeds are being planted for an eventual CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho feud down the road once Chris Jericho returns to the company – which is just fine with us.

– For those wondering, it was in fact Hunico who wrestled as Sin Cara on RAW. According to a source who was backstage at RAW, the general feeling in the locker room is that Mistico is done with WWE.

– Two readers sent word that there was no Sin Cara merchandise for sale at last night’s RAW in Tulsa.

– In related Sin Cara news – in light of the recent backstage heat on Mistico, WWE seems to have scrapped the idea of bringing in Mexican wrestler Averno to work with Sin Cara. Original Sin Cara Possibly Done, Hunico Taking Over

With the man who originally played the character Sin Cara (Mistico) recently being suspended for 30 days due to a violation of WWE’s Wellness policy, developmental wrestler Hunico has been portraying Sin Cara on WWE television.

Tuesday’s SmackDown taping from Calgary was the first show the man formerly known as Mistico was able to return from his suspension. Sin Cara wrestled Heath Slater on Tuesday night in a match that has been described by one fan in attendance as a “botch fest.” WWE was forced to re-shoot several parts of the match due to blown spots.

There had been reports that some wrestlers were already rolling their eyes at Sin Cara for having such a bad match in his first night back – but PWInsider.com is reporting that it was actually Hunico that wrestled as Sin Cara on Tuesday night – not Mistico.

According to their report, Sin Cara showed up to the arena on Tuesday night, met with WWE management and was sent home during the SmackDown taping.

WWE sources have indicated that Hunico will be portraying the character of Sin Cara moving forward. The Sin Cara character is still very popular with young audience and sells a lot of t-shirts, but most in the company are under the impression that Mistico’s days in WWE are numbered.

Life is about PEAKS & valleys!”

We’ve got a TON of Matt Hardy news from the past week at our Matt Hardy News Page – definitely check that out to catch up on all the craziness.

– The original Sin Cara (Mistico) returned to action this week at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings from Calgary and already had people ‘shaking their heads’ at him backstage. WWE had to do two re-takes during Sin Cara’s match against Heath Slater due to several blown spots – something his WWE run has been plagued by thus far.

Update On Vickie Managing Swagger, Sin Cara Mo-Hawk?

– The WWE website has an interview up with Jack Swagger, who confronted Vickie Guerrero on RAW and asked her to manage hi along with Dolph Ziggler.

Swagger told WWE.com:

“I think Vickie Guerrero has proven herself to be very valuable. She is a very influential person with General Managers and execs and higher-ups, so bringing her clout along with my All-American abilities and World Championship talent, it could be amazing. Will Jack Swagger make it there again without her? Absolutely. Will he make it there faster with her? Definitely.”

Discussion: COMMENT BELOW and tell us whether you’d like to see Vickie Guerrero manage Jack Swagger and other heels on RAW. Could Vickie Guerrero build a stable of heel wrestlers like Bobby Heenan’s Heenan Family back in the late ’80s?
