  • Update On The Condition Of Jake “The Snake” Roberts

    Joe D. of “Future Stars of Wrestling” issued the following statement, updating fans on the condition of WWE Hall Of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts:

    “After appearing at the Future Stars of Wrestling show, Sat in Las Vegas, Jake showed up Monday at the FSW Training Facility, with his friend Sinn Bodhi. Jake, was feeling and looking much better, than Saturday. He helped with training of the students. He was friendly, ran the ropes himself, and expected the best from the students. He had no problems, letting the kids know exactly how he felt after putting them thru drills. He stayed almost 2 hours, and looks forward to heading back to Vegas.”

  • Jake Roberts Taken Off Ventilator Earlier Than Planned, Finally Able To Speak Again

    Sinn Bodhi posted the following update on his official Facebook page on Tuesday:

    “UPDATE on Jake The Snake Roberts: Great news!… Docs took Jake off ventilator way earlier then expected! He is kicking ass on his spirometer breathing tests…If he keeps up this pace he will not need to go back on Ventilator so everyone please cross your fingers! Jake finally can speak for the first time since last Wed… Late last night (while still ventilated & unable to speak) one of the male nurses took a bandage off of Jake’s neck where they have tubes for his meds… It was so unpleasant to Jake he wrote on the pad they gave him three letters… DDT… Even though Jake is off of the ventilator for the time being he will be monitored for 24-48 hours before docs decide if it is safe to keep him off. Once Jake could speak he wanted steak, milkshakes, eggs & donuts… He is only allowed to get his nutrients intraveinously for the time being… Jake even joked that he would do anything for a donut if he had to… The nurses still said no donuts to which Jake replied with his favorite gesture I think he was trying to say ‘you’re #1’ but I could be wrong?!… One of Jake’s sons flew in to help out but Jake insisted I show him a good time while he rests tonight… Soooo.   • Jake Roberts Jokes With Nurses At Hospital, Undergoes Bronchoscopy

    Sinn Bodhi wrote the following update on Jake “The Snake” Roberts on his official Facebook page on Sunday night:

    “UPDATE on Jake the Snake Roberts: Today Jake underwent a Bronchoscopy… An evasive surgery to remove flem etc trapped in his lungs… He is breathing better but still on ventilator. In the moments of Jake being awake from sedation today he was telling jokes & messing with nurses! That is a good sign!!! That’s Jake being Jake! Tomorrow or next day docs will give Jake oxygen tests to see how well he can breath without ventilator and proceed from there… #GetBetterJake”

  • Reason Jake Roberts Was Put On A Ventilator, Update On His Condition

    Sinn Bodhi, who has been around Jake “The Snake” Roberts in the hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada all week, posted the following update on his official Facebook page on Saturday night:

    UPDATE on Jake The Snake Roberts: Jake is NOT in a coma! Please don’t believe crappy gossip… Jake still has Phnemonia. He is not getting enough oxygen so he has been sedated and put on a ventilator… (Sedated only because the procedure is painful). Doctors have to wait & see how he responds before they can continue with MRI & other tests as the Ventilator is inhibiting but nessecary… And until the Phnemonia is cleared up it is preventing Docs from seeing what the underlying problems are.   • VIDEO: Sinn Bodhi Talks To Bill Apter About Jake Roberts’ Condition

    As noted, Jake Roberts has been in the hospital in Las Vegas dealing with a number of medical issues.

    Roberts, who was traveling to Vegas to work a show for Sinn Bodhi, is reportedly suffering from a brain abnormality, which some have theorized to be the result of taking so many bumps in his wrestling career.

    Bodhi recently spoke to Bill Apter to give a very detailed update on Roberts’ condition. You can check out that discussion in the video above.

  • Jake Roberts Reportedly Suffering From Brain Abnormality

    According to Kyle Magee, the lawyer, manager and roommate of Jake Roberts, the mass discovered in Roberts’ head during testing this weekend was described as a brain abnormality.

    Magee issued a letter to Bill Apter where he theorized that the brain abnormality is the result of Roberts taking a career worth of bumps as a pro wrestler.

    It was revealed that despite the initial reports, Roberts was not unconscious on the airplane, however he was in severe pain and was suffering from shortness of breath. Roberts reportedly informed the flight attendants of his condition and as a result, was immediately rushed to the hospital and put in an induced coma.

    In the letter written by Magee, he noted that Roberts had been sick for at least a week, however he wanted to work Sinn Bodhi’s wrestling event in Las Vegas on Friday.

    It was said that during the flight to Vegas, Roberts was in severe pain with his chest tightening, that he was having trouble breathing and was found to have very limited functioning of his lungs due to double pneumonia.

  • Update On Jake Roberts In The Hospital, WWE Asks Who Next Champion Will Be

    – The official WWE website is currently running a poll asking fans who they feel will be the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The options are Dean Ambrose, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Sheamus. With over 12,000 votes cast, Reigns is in a commanding lead with over 40 percent of the votes. After him are Cena and Ambrose, with the rest falling way behind in the vote.

    John Cena berating Lilian Garcia’s ring announcing ability at Tuesday’s SmackDown taping in Newark, New Jersey has drawn the ire of numerous fans of the veteran Diva online as they feel it contradicts “be a STAR,” WWE’s heavily promoted campaign to put an end to bullying. A former WWE talent agrees with the sentiment.

    Sinn Bodhi, who formerly competed as Kizarny for the sports entertainment organization, posted the following user comment on Twitter Friday slamming their anti-bullying campaign: “I can’t take the #WWE Be A Star Campaign seriously when it’s known what they said about Lilian Garcia and @SiNNbODHi #Hypocrisy.”

    The incident was the latest example of WWE publicly ridiculing Garcia following her decision to leave the company in 2009. She took note of the heavy fan support following this latest mockery and went on Facebook and Twitter to write a thank you message.

    “Hey my Lil Rockers, just want to tell you that I LUV YOU, I LUV YOU, I LUV YOU!! You are the BEST fans in the world!! Thank you for being there for me!! Xoxo ;):” she wrote following Friday’s SmackDown broadcast on Syfy.

    Following the conclusion of Tuesday’s show, Cena belittled Garcia in front of the Prudential Center audience for mistakenly introducing Zack Ryder earlier as “Long Island Iced Z, Jack Swagger” for his match against Jack Swagger, saying “she looks absolutely beautiful but doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing.” He had a street clothes dressed Tony Chimel brought out to properly introduce Ryder since he’s a professional and “knows what he’s doing.”

    WWE.com has pulled last week’s controversial Thanksgiving-themed slideshow article counting down the seven biggest “turkeys” to ever trot the squared circle. The page is now inaccessible.

    The list was heavily scrutinized by fans and former talent alike who felt it was hurtful as well as hypocritical. Former WWE performers Vito LoGrasso (a/k/a Vito) and Nick Cvjetkovich (a/k/a Kizarny) both took to social media outlets to respond to being labeled turkeys. Vito stated the following Friday on Facebook:

    “A lot of people are upset with the WWE today. They spoke of me in a negative way which put the fans in shock. How would they post something like this on a holiday?! I have a family and the kids are all upset. I thought they had an anti-bullying policy.”

    LoGrasso stated in a subsequent interview that he planned to take the matter to GLAAD and TMZ, pointing out the hypocrisy in WWE bullying him when they have an anti-bullying campaign in place.

    Cvjetkovich shared similar sentiments regarding his former employer’s demeaning piece as he called it “a dick move” in a YouTube video. He added on Twitter, “So much for anti-bullying @WWE @JoeyStyles. Receiving tons of positive messages is the only thing that saved my Thanksgiving that u wrecked!”
