NXT Star Solomon Crowe Debuts New Gimmick

WWE NXT star Solomon Crowe (formerly Sami Callihan on the indy scene), debuted a new “hacker” gimmick at last night’s NXT live event in Tampa, Florida.

While Kalisto, the former Samuray del Sol, was in the ring hyping up the crowd during intermission, the lights went out and the sounds from an Emergency Broadcast Signal alarm went off. The lights flickered and when they came back on – Crowe was standing above Kalisto, who was laid out. Crowe had a tablet in hand, indicating that he had hacked the entire arena and took over the production controls.

Crowe didn’t speak but pressed a button on the tablet again, turning off the lights and disappearing. He tweeted:

WWE Stressing Over TNA TV Taping?, Sami Callihan Moving To Main WWE Roster

– According to reports, one person backstage at Thursday’s WWE NXT television tapings noted that it was shocking how much WWE officials were stressing over the fact that TNA was taping Impact Wrestling head-to-head with WWE in the same general area.

– Independent pro wrestling star Sami Callihan, who is now working in WWE NXT under the name “Solomon Crowe,” is apparently being considered for a spot on the main WWE roster. The word going around is that WWE is thinking about bringing Callihan up to the main roster as part of a tag-team combination.

    – WWE will be returning to Mexico in October for a live events tour:

    • October 17th, Guadalajara at the VFG Arena
    • October 18th, Mexico City at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico
    • October 19th, Monterre at the Arena Monterrey

    Sami Callihan Reveals His WWE NXT Name, CM Punk Attends UFC Event, Money in the Bank Briefcases

    – Sami Callihan is no more as the independent wrestling standout will be known as Solomon Crowe going forward as part of WWE’s NXT division. The 25-year-old issued the following message Wednesday evening on Twitter announcing the name change.

    – CM Punk was in attendance at tonight’s UFC event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The show aired live on FOX Sports 1 as the WWE Superstar was shown seated next to UFC President Dana White.

    – The official WWE website has published an article highlighting the personalized Money in the Bank briefcases of Damien Sandow, Edge, Rob Van Dam, CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler.

    – Independent wrestler Christina Von Eerie turns 24-years-old today.
