WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog at JRsBarBQ.com with his thoughts on various WrestleMania 32 rumors. Here are some highlights of what JR said about:
WrestleMania 32 Rumors:
“The online speculation on what the card will resemble at Wrestlemania Texas will become nauseating before it will all be said and done. This ‘Mania will do 100,000+ IMO but even with that success one has to wonder will today’s social media obsessed fans will be satisfied? I think that we all know the answer to that one.
Plans are coming together well for our WM32 weekend of activities. Our meetings in Dallas last week on our venue and our show schedule in Dallas plus a new pro wrestling project that we are exploring went very well.”
Steve Austin wrestling Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32:
“Love the fact that Steve Austin definitively shot down the rumors of any chance that he would face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania Texas on April 3 in Arlington at AT&T Stadium. I said the same thing on my podcast this week after talking to Steve before recording it last week on the Bruce Mitchell episode. Nonetheless no matter what Austin or anyone else says many fans will remain hopeful and damn near sure that this match is going to happen. I can only say to that ” Let it go.”
I could see Lesnar winning the 2016 Royal Rumble and then facing the WWE champion and winning before 100,000+ fans at WM32. Time will tell as there are many ways to go with a star as talented as Lesnar.”
The Rock vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 32:
“Another rumor is Rock vs. HHH at Wrestlemania Texas. I could see that happening but only time will tell. These two could have a great build up and then deliver a stout, old school match.”

– WWE posted the following tweet on Sunday, which links to an article on WWE.com that looks at John Cena’s five best matches.
Daniel Bryan has been in Dubai doing promotional work for WWE and he recently spoke with The National, revealing his opinion that WWE should be concerned with the fact that they haven’t created many big stars since the Attitude Era.
The following are some of the highlights from the interview.
On his thoughts on WWE 2K16: “It is very realistic. My character kicks as I kick. It moves as I move. It does my Yes chant as I do my Yes chant. It is very surreal, and just a little bit creepy, almost like someone is stalking me, it is that realistic. But it is really neat.”
On Steve Austin being the cover star of WWE 2K16 rather than a current WWE Superstar: “It is interesting because I see it two ways. I see maybe people who don’t watch it anymore, who were big fans in the Attitude Era, which was the most popular time in wrestling. It would appeal to people who may not be watching the current product, but would be interested in the video game. One of the things I think it shows is that we have not really created enough new stars, to where we put new stars on the front of the video game, so that should be the overall bigger concern. We need to not just rely on people from the past. There is almost this mentality these stars are bigger than the current stars, and they keep going with the mentality when the guys now are every bit as good as the guys from before, it is just they need to be given the platform.”
On who he wants to face when he returns to the ring: “My number 1 dream match is Brock Lesnar. And I want that to be a WrestleMania match. I don’t know if the WWE will ever let that happen, because they might be afraid he might legitimately hurt me pretty bad. But I would like to do a major pay-per-view match with Cesaro. I’d like to to do a major pay-per-view match with Seth Rollins. I’d love do a major pay-per-view match with Stardust. We have so many talented people on the roster that I’d love to have a match on pay per view or we have a story to work through together.”

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin is not a fan of WWE bringing in celebrities to wrestle. During a recent episode of his Steve Austin Show podcast, Stone Cold looked back at Stephen Amell competing at SummerSlam, saying that it hurts the credibility of the wrestlers when a ‘civilian’ comes in and is able compete with WWE Superstars.
“I just don’t like the celebrities coming in there, the squared circle, and being able to compete at any level with the guys in the business,” Austin vented. “You’ve got to protect some integrity of the [professional wrestling] business. I don’t care what day and age, what year it is.”
Austin says it’s flat out embarrassing when celebrities get in the ring and WWE’s booking is a big part of that.
“It was what it was, but I just got a hard time seeing that kid come off with that crossbody on the top rope on twoWWE guys down there [at ringside].”
“So was it embarrassing? You’re damn right it was, but for the wrong reasons and the reasons [were] bad booking,” Austin said. “It was for a shoot embarrassing to those guys to have to go out there and do that with the actor guy involved, but that’s on a shoot level, so it was an embarrassment to the booking and I felt bad for those guys because they were in that role.”
– Regarding Rey Mysterio and Alberto El Patron, their mentality right now is that they are not looking to come back to WWE, and would only entertain the idea if they were to have a reduced schedule as they are doing very well right now working where and when they want.
– At this point, the guest for Steve Austin’s “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network in the month of October is scheduled to be “The Icon” Sting.

2K Showcase will cover Austin’s career from WCW to ECW to WWE. The video intro to Showcase mode showed memorable moments from Austin’s career, including his partnership with Brian Pillman in WCW as part of the Hollywood Blondes as well as Austin’s strap match with Savio Vega in WWE.
No confirmation as to whether Brian Pillman and Savio Vega will be playable characters in the game, but it seems likely. As noted earlier, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross will be doing commentary with Jerry Lawler as part of the Showcase mode.
WWE 2K16 will be released on October 27th from PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
WWE has posted several new clips from the WWE 2K16 video game, featuring video game versions of infamous moments in WWE history, such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s iconic “Austin 3:16” speech at King of the Ring 1996, and current moments involving current WWE Superstars.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently updated his official Q&A section with his thoughts and opinions on a number of questions sent in by wrestling fans. Below are some of the highlights:
On possibly doing more announcing for New Japan Pro Wrestling: “I don’t know what NJPW has planned but I’d love to do some more projects with them. Their wrestlers are from top to bottom arguably the best in the world right now.”
On how Undertaker stays this athletic at his age: “Taker is a great natural athlete who is over his surgeries, by and large, is eating clean thanks to his amazingly fit wife and training MMA style which suits his body. In other words he’s working his ass off and living right.”
On who makes the cool video packages in WWE: “Adam Pennucci produced those and they fired me up as well. He also produced my HOF video. Brilliant young man who’s still there working away.”
On main eventing RAW with Steve Austin against Triple H and Chyna: “I was out of place all a cow on ice but I did my job as instructed. Teaming w/ Steve was fun but taking the pedigree from Chyna wasn’t.”
On the late Umaga: “His untapped upside, athleticism and his uncanny in ring abilities for a 350 pounder. Great feet, agility, and quickness.”

– WWE posted the following video featuring Triple H making the announcement that Seth Rollins will be defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Sting at the upcoming WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
After announcing that Edge and Christian will be the next guests on WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s next “Stone Cold Podcast” on the WWE Network, WWE issued the following press release with more details.
Watch Edge and Christian on the Stone Cold Podcast, Monday Sept. 7, live on WWE Network
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin will interview Edge and Christian on the next edition of the Stone Cold Podcast, live on the award-winning WWE Network, Monday, Sept. 7, immediately following Raw. What will be said when The Texas Rattlesnake sits down with The Rated-R Superstar and Captain Charisma for a no-holds-barred interview? Watch a brand-new episode of the Stone Cold Podcast to find out!
In past Stone Cold Podcast episodes with Mr. McMahon, Triple H, Paul Heyman and Paige, the show’s outspoken host has pulled no punches with his guests, asking the hard-hitting questions. What topics will Austin bring up in this anything-goes interview?
The seven time WWE Tag Team Champions and lifelong friends had no shortage of memorable moments during their run atop the tag team ranks, including their involvement in some of WWE’s most absurd and hilarious moments. Don’t miss two of WWE’s most entertaining Superstars in a can’t-miss interview, live on WWE Network.
– Although a date was not announced, it was revealed during the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view on Sunday night that the next edition of WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin’s “Stone Cold Podcast” will feature Edge and Christian as the special guests.
– There was controversy during the main event at SummerSlam on Sunday night, as The Undertaker actually tapped out to a Kimura from Brock Lesnar near the end of the match. This is why the time keeper called for the bell and the bell was rung prematurely. Replays after the match showed that Undertaker did in fact tap out, however because the referee didn’t call it, Undertaker’s submission victory over Lesnar stands.
WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently spoke with IGN to promote WWE 2K16, as well as this Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On who will win the Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker match: “I think it’s [Brock Lesnar’s] turn. And if you go that way then you can take the rubber match to WrestleMania and then Brock goes over and Taker rides off into the sunset. That’d be my prediction.”
On John Cena and the internet wrestling community giving him a hard time: “But everybody also knows that I’m a huge John Cena fan for his contributions for what he’s done for the business. He’s been the top guy for the last ten years. I’ve been there and I did it, so the run that he’s had is amazing. When you get the IWC involved, a lot of people have had a gut-full of him. But when a guy like me from outside, who was inside in the business at the highest level, looks at what he’s done, it’s phenomenal. So you could flip a coin on this one. You’d really have to get inside Vince McMahon’s head and see the chess game that’s going on. Get his mindset to see what he wants to do with the pieces on the table. That’s a hard one for me to pick. I’ll go Taker on Taker/Lesnar, but it’s really hard to call Cena/Rollins.”
Although he was in Brooklyn, New York for some WWE 2K16 obligations, as well as some other work, WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will not be sticking around for Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Brooklyn or Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam events. There were those who were hoping that Austin would make an appearance because of how WWE is promoting this year’s SummerSlam to be a WrestleMania-sized event, however that will not be happening.
It is worth pointing out, however, that Ric Flair will be in town for Saturday and Sunday’s shows. There is no word as to whether or not Flair will actually appear on camera in some form or fashion, however it’s definitely a possibility.
According to F4WOnline.com, “something huge” is planned for Monday’s post-SummerSlam edition of WWE RAW. What exactly that is isn’t clear at the moment, and things could always change before Monday night, however as of right now, something big is planned for the show.
