— Sunday at Final Resolution, Jeff Jarrett was defeated by Jeff Hardy in a Steel Cage Match. As per stipulation of the match, either Jeff or Karen Jarrett would be fired at Sting’s discretion on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling. Sting, however, decided to fire both Jarretts.

Sunday at Bound for Glory, Bobby Roode failed in his attempt to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship when he was pinned by Kurt Angle, after the referee failed to notice his arm under the ropes or Angle using the ropes for leverage.
TNA had originally planned for Roode to defeat Angle for the belt. Hulk Hogan, however, lobbied to have the finish changed since he felt that the former Team Canada member wasn’t ready for a run with the title.
Between that and his war of words with AJ Styles in the last few days, there was a lot of resentment towards Hogan among the long time employees. Especially since Hogan was criticizing Styles on Twitter when it was known that he had missed Saturday’s Fan Interaction event due to a death in his family.
– In the days leading up to Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view, Bobby Roode was scheduled to win the TNA World heavyweight title. Despite Kurt Angle being injured and all the hype that went into this being Bobby Roode’s time – Roode got screwed.
Some people are expecting Bobby Roode to win the TNA title in the coming weeks (at the next PPV or on an episode of Impact) – while others think that the company is eager to Jeff Hardy.
– Sting defeated Hulk Hogan by submission at Bound For Glory – and the rivals joined forces after the match to fend off a beatdown from Bully Ray, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff and others. With Hogan and Sting working together at Bound For Glory, there has been talk of them teaming up together at a future pay-per-view in a match against Ric Flair and a partner.
– TNA had about 2,500 paid fans at Bound For Glory, which is considered a major disappointment. The was heavily “papered” – with many fans receiving free tickets to the event at the last minute to fill up the crowd.
16-time world champion “Nature Boy” Ric Flair may have dodged a bullet and might not need to undergo surgery to repair a turn triceps.
Flair, who suffered the injury during his match with Sting last month on Impact Wrestling, was told two weeks ago that he would have to undergo surgery. Now, Flair tells PostandCourier.com that the injury is healing by itself – which doctors have called a “miracle.”
“It’s postponed right now, but I may not even have to have it. The doctor looked at it and said the thing was healing itself.”
Flair had already signed in at the hospital and had a brace fitted when his doctor gave him the great news.
“He told me it was a miracle. He said, ‘Ric, you’re one in a million.’”
TNA star Sting was recently interviewed by Fighting Spirit Magazine and spoke about Jeff Hardy’s recent issues and their infamous match at TNA Victory Road back in March.
Sting defeated Jeff Hardy in an impromptu squash match after it was deemed Jeff Hardy was too stoned to safely wrestle – and says the “ripple effect” of Hardy’s actions were “gigantic.”
Sting knew hours before their match that Jeff Hardy was going to be a handful that day. “I knew there was trouble a couple of hours before the match and it seemed to get worse as the night progressed.
“I had high hopes that by some miracle it would pan out — and we would be able to actually have a match — because we had something pretty good worked out.
“It didn’t happen that way. It just deteriorated, it got to the point that what happened, had to happen.”
Sting has faith that Jeff Hardy can turn his life around once he gets out of jail.
“My heart goes out to Jeff and I’m glad that he’s on the trail back. He seems to be great. I’ve talked to him a couple of times, he seems really, really good and he is remorseful. But he understands that his words mean nothing at this point — time is going to be the only thing.”
“He’s going to have to build the bridge of trust back one brick at a time — and he knows it. He’s an incredible, unbelievably talented wrestler. He’s creative, innovative and he’s got so much going for him. If he can keep his head on straight, I know there’s a lot of good years in front of him and he’ll be a benefit to this company.”
– After announcing that Hulk Hogan would be returning to the ring at Bound For Glory and wrestling his longtime rival Sting, there were plans for Ric Flair to be added to the match, making it a 3-way match. Considering Hulk Hogan’s lack of mobility and the history between all three men, TNA officials were hoping that adding Flair to the match would take pressure off Hogan and Sting and allow for more low-impact gimmick spots to be used in the match.
When Flair got injured during his match with Sting on Impact several weeks ago, plans to include Flair in the Hogan-Sting match were dropped and the no-DQ stipulation was added to Hogan-Sting.
– As reported here on the site yesterday, Hulk Hogan has signed a new deal with TNA just days before his previous deal was set to expire. A TNA source has confirmed to us that it’s virtually guaranteed Eric Bischoff will be renewing his deal as well.
– Hogan is in Los Angeles this week filming new commercials for Rent-A-Center with NFL Legend Troy Aikman.
– TNA issued a press release on Monday with movie theater company Screenvision providing new details on TNA Bound For Glory being shown in over 100 movie theaters across the United States. The theater showing of Bound For Glory is being presented by TNA’s new sponsor, Direct Auto Insurance. All fans who watch Bound For Glory in the theater will receive a free 2011 Bound For Glory t-shirt.
During the press release, it was revealed that Hulk Hogan vs. Sting at Bound For Glory will be a No Disqualification match.
– Speaking of Hogan, he’s been added to the Main Event ticket for TNA’s Bound For Glory Fan Fest on October 15th in Philadelphia.

Ric Flair suffered a broken bursa sac in his left elbow during his match against Sting last Monday, which aired on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling. The injury occurred when he took a superplex off the top rope.
“It was brutal,” Flair told Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier. “I thought I had broken my arm on that spot. I don’t know how I did it either.
“Sting put me down flat on that superplex, but somehow I hit something. It broke the bursa sack in my elbow. But at that moment I was sure I had broken my arm in half.”
Flair says the move was perfectly executed.
“I must have put my arm down wrong or something,” he said. “I really don’t know how it happened. I’ve got one arm twice the size of the other right now.”
Flair says the injury definitely affected the rest the match, though they were able to finish it.
“When he hit me with the (Stinger) splash and went for the Scorpion, I couldn’t even take a face bump. I couldn’t put my arm down to take it. I couldn’t hit him either. It was brutal.”
Flair added that his elbow no longer hurts and he merely needs to be cautious of acquiring an infection.
